Went to five other shops in Berkeley searching for a replacement downstem for a beloved yet weird-sized piece, and this place was the one that had the knowledge and selection to have exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!

Excellent place to get E juice, Especially if youre looking for Non-Nicotine. The younger associate was Very Disrespectful and Rude on my first visit there. This morning, minutes after opening was Much better with the Older associate helping me. He was patient and Very polite. He also was knowledgeable about what I hadnt a clue about. They have a great selection of various smoking paraphernalia but I would suggest shopping elsewhere. Prices are outrageously high. I bought a patch and was charged $12.50. Found the same patch for $5.99 at a nearby store. Suggest you shop around.

I went college at UC Berkeley, this was my go to shop for 5 years and anytime I need a present for anyone. The new glass displays will keep your eyes busy, such an amazing collection.

AMASSING STAFF and selection. hidden atm inside if you need cash so just ask! And if you need a place that wont harass you about your age for tobacco products (if u need cigs, blunt wraps, lighters etc..) this is the place! They dont card. The staff is so cool and nice. Defiantly not commission driven!

Awesome place. Super friendly & knowledgeable staff. They have always been happy to answer all of my questions and never tried to upsell me or pressure me into purchasing anything. The scale I bought from them a year ago is still working perfectly, it registered a test weight exactly on the dot. For anything they might sell, they are my first choice for places to stop by!

I always go here for all my smoking needs because they have everything I could want and theyre always super helpful and friendly. Theyve got such a great glassware collection, you could literally spend hours just looking at all their pipes and bongs. I bought the most beautiful purple glass bong the other day and got a great deal on it. They even gave me an extra attachment for it, offered me a special deal on a case, and chatted with me about glassware for at least half an hour. Luv yall!

I came in looking for a bong and left with the piece of my dreams!I dont often go to Berkeley to buy glass but when i do, I ALWAYS END UP BUYING IT HERE. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. They are conversational without being pushy. Therey are 100% there to help you.The prices have always been reasonable. Not the cheapest in the bay but absolutely the best selection in berkeley. Furthermore i have NEVER walked out of Whelans feeling cheated or like i payed too much.Lastly, as we all know...its not always a pleasant experience going into a glass shop in berkeley when youre a person of color. Often times, employees will follow you around and hover over you making their suspicion or outright disrespect clear. Not so at Whelans. Nobody is treated differently because of the color of their skin. I know because they were perfectly respectful and kind to my husband.At least stop by, i guarantee they will have something for you.

Very nice staff. Great variety in both extracts and glass pieces. Came In and was automatically greeted! They give deals on purchases and sometimes even freebies, so you get a lot for the money you spend. Thank you for making our experience easy, Ray & team!

Overall a GREAT experience. I was able to get a replacement for my piece AND they spent about 10 minutes just for a bowl piece. They are truly good people that enjoy their job. I live down the street so I’ll be coming here often. They also sold me my first bong 😛 love the customer service and he was super cute.

Stay away from this place belive meCame in and spent $200 on the bong and then bought an extra downstem and it didnt fit tried to come back the next day and return it and exchange it for a different one and then the price of the new one changed from the day before. When i asked for a refund the gentleman with a bald spot on his head said that he couldnt return it and to leave. We got into an argument and he was super unprofessional when I asked him his name to tell the owner about his behavior he would not give it to me. Watch out for this individual hes an older man in his 40s and he is a snake do not buy your glass here because they will treat you like trash the next day.

Ive been going to whelans for over 20 years and despite the modernization and the passing of the sweet couple who used to own it, I will always go out of my way to patronize this business. The newish (20 years) owners, are super friendly and Zack in particular knows his sh..I mean stuff. A Berkeley icon for sure!

Weylands smoke shop has got to be the best shop in Berkeley. This guys take your interest into account when looking for glass pieces and dont mind looking around with you. (15+mins for me) definately the place to go when looking for quality pieces.

We came here just out of the blue and saw the 100th anniversary the place is so authentic and real, everything is so classic and almost are hand and glass made. The workers are nice and friendly they vibe out with you, and it’s a real nice shop with literally everything from bongs, hookah, etc.

Seriously something wrong with these people? I bought a whole box of cigars for a friend in the UK...as Im walking out my friend reminds me she only wants 2 boxes. I literally turned around (after they begged to pay in cash) to ask for a refund, only to be shut down completely. All sales are final. Sure if it was the next day, but seriously people? 5 minutes and you take $120? Wow, so I asked to speak to the manager, the guy goes to a back room only to come out and tell me there is no manager today??? Why did he go back there in the first place? Never AGAIN will I do business with these people.

I have been to this smoke shop on a couple of occasions and both times the service was subpar. The staff is not very knowledgeable about the products and when they recommend something to you that is not suitable, they will not let you exchange or return. I will not be returning, I will go to Big Als around the corner.

Brought a Vape pan today, and they told me it was 60$ and give me a good deal for 45$, and went home and check the price online, it only 15$ with shipping! fraud shop！

Card reader doesn’t work (obviously a lie since it happens all the time) and their cigars are overpriced. You have to pay extra $5 in fees when using the atm. Never coming back here simply because it is not a honest business.
