The Loft at 4935

Came here for the nightlife on Saturday right when it opened at 9 PM. Got a table. Service was awesome but wished the server would leave the bottle on our table instead of coming back and forth to help us with refills. May be they could of made more money this way ? Music was pretty good. The crowd was mixed and was alright. Did not have to pay an entrance fee but the coat check ($5) was mandatory. Bar food (tacos and sliders) is 3 1/2 stars.

This place is very nice on the inside for a small party. They have restrooms on the lower level as well as upstairs. Women really appreciate this because theres always a line to use the restroom. We didnt have to walk far or circle the block for parking because this location is located directly across from a parking garage. I would return for another event.

I am eating my way through their menu after discovering them at the beginning of the year. The place is clean and has a Manhattan feel to it! Their scallops, tandoori chicken tacos and sliders are amazing. Recently I tried the lamb shank and salad with salmon and shrimp, and they were equally fabulous. Very beautiful inside, and a great place for something different. I especially love their 4th Sunday Hand Dance Party every month. Lots of folks come out to swing, west coast and hand dance. Great for food, great prices and for entertainment!

Went for private event (2nd floor) for friends Graduation party on becoming a doctor. It was wonderful. Not really a downside, but personal issue with Guard not allowing my wife who is breastfeeding in without her ID. Had to drive 45 minutes back home to obtain then come back. We had other proof of ID electronically that was not accepted, but is accepted by Police and other governmental entities. Just a tad common sense and working with patrons would had worked.

Great place for a night out with friends! Vivid lighting, they have two floors one for Latin music, the other for hip hop r&b, both with great bars. If you love to dance this will be your spot!

The food was delicious and the service, impeccable. Carl was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The menu wasnt extensive but since were not big on dessert, he let us choose 2 appetizers instead. Carl paid the perfect amount of attention to us and helped us pick just the right dish. I would recommend this place!

Okay place. Parking sucks even though there were two parking garages a block apart. They fill up very fast. Food was okay. Bartender girl had good sense of humor. I would not go here again unless paid to.

The owner and several employees are extremely rude and nasty. The drinks are watered down and if you request to have it made correctly the bartender will demand a large tip. We came for the supposedly great night life, all 13 members of our party and numerous others we met will not ever return.

Went on a Saturday night, DJ was just ok! hiphop and salsa music, nothing in between. Inside is nice and plenty of seating. Drinks were strong and only $6.35! i would definitely go again, even if only to pregame for a real club.

If you see a Groupon for this place, buy it. I purchased the 3 course meal option with drinks, and it did not disappoint!I do echo the same thoughts as the others about the decor and ambiance of the place though. Its lounge-y and club-like. When we arrived around 6, the place was fairly empty, with most of the people sitting at the bar. Around 7:30, the lights dimmed significantly and immediately my brain jumped to, Oh my god its happening. The beat is going to drop! Thank goodness Im almost finished here!Anyways, my boyfriend and I ordered additional drinks and food aside from the 3 course option, which the bartender allowed for us to do 2 appetizers (tuna tartar and tandoori chicken tacos) and 1 entree each (I ordered the pomegranate glazed duck breast and BF ordered the spice rubbed braised lamb shank). We ordered a few cocktails, beers, and wine, and a dozen oysters as well.The food was all very good. We did complain a little that the lamb shank and duck breast were a little on the saltier side however.The bartender/server guy (we sat at the bar) was very accommodating, and he explained our check thoroughly since we had the Groupon and ordered additional things.One thing to note though: the drinks menu online is outdated. I browsed it before arriving and was very excited to try the Elder Berry, but it wasnt listed on their current drinks menu anymore.

So so joint. Food is good, but vibe of weird and clubby feeling despite there being no club music or dance floor. Visit the sister restaurant Duck Duck Goose for a better experience and just come here for happy hour and drinks with appetizers.

My experience at 4935 was a huge letdown. I had read the reviews and was excited to check this place out. We walked in last night and were there to celebrate my girlfriends 21st birthday. We walked in and the host asked if we were there for the high school reunion going on upstairs we said no so she turned around and began to look at something at her podium. We thought she was looking at the seating chart but did not look back up at us so we just walked in. It was about 8pm and there were only about 5 people sitting at the bar and one table occupied so they were definitely not too busy to seat us. We walked in confused as we were planning to eat and drink and decided to take one of their tables off to the side in a row of like 5. We sat there for about 10 minutes when the male bartender yelled from behind the bar What are you guys doing? Are you getting drinks or what? with a very condescending tone. We responded with well we planned on getting drinks and eating food as well which is why we sat down. Another 5 minutes went by before the other blonde bartender came over and was just like what are you guys getting. Of course we had no idea since we hadnt been sat down with our menus and she seemed really mad that she had to walk about 15 steps to get us some menus. We got our menus and she did bring us water but the best part was we sat there for about 25 minutes without anyone talking to us or her returning to the table. She walked to the far end of the wall and checked in on the 3-4 tables and in my head i was like yes finally she came back. As soon as she finished checking in with the table next to us she turned around and walked back to behind the bar. At this point I had had enough and had to get up and walk over to the bar and say Can we get some service? to which she rolled her eyes and said shed be right over. She came to our table took our orders and brought us our drinks but the whole time you could tell she was annoyed. I cant comment on the late night atmosphere as we had planned to stay there the whole night to celebrate as it got busier but unfortunately decided to leave as this experience had started off our night of celebrating on the wrong foot. This place is certainly not cheap so we expected top notch customer service and the previous reviews had us really excited to check it out. The sliders is the only good thing about our visit. Im sure this place is great based off of the reviews of others but I guess we just happened to be there on an off night. We visited this place on 11/28/15. (There was a taller gentleman in a grey sweater who checked in with us and refilled our waters more times than we saw our own server)

Downstairs was closed but upstairs was open and played a good mix of spanish and todays hip hop with some Caribbean tunes mixed in. Went late on a Saturday night with some girlfriends and the crowd wasnt too big, enough to make it look somewhat full but more than enough dance space for everyone to get their grove on.

Place had good music. I think the DJs name was Gekko. Had a great mix of music. Drinks were fairly priced for the area. Food menu during the day has a nice selection.

This is a classy bar. The blue lights are just beautiful and the owner is very humble and friendly. He welcomed everyone with a big smile. The stuff are well trained. Definitely 5 stars!¡

Amazing hhr: half priced signature cocktails and apps, fresh and beautifully textured $1 giant blue point oysters. Bartenders with craftsmanship skills, original dishes and sheik ambiance. Its my go-to place in Bethesda for craft cocktails. Its just always been great customer service and my kind of ambience: warm and local, w big city shine

The Loft has been my go-to club for the last couple of months now and I’ve yet to be disappointed. It’s one of the best places in town. The music is just right and the bartender is just amazing. I mean I just love this place!

I was having a decent New Years Eve, and then at one point I was walking from the upper level to the lower level and the person behind me pushed me on the stairs. This caused me to fall down the rest of the flight - the (apparently) owner saw this occur and his resolution to the situation was to kick both of us out, for the rest of the night. I did absolutely nothing except pay 45 dollars to get in and more than a few dollars on top of that. I was appalled by the apparent lack of care by the owner for my night. I was with a party of 10 and had to spend the last half hour of my night waiting outside because of the ridiculous reaction to the actions of a drunk patron towards me. I couldnt believe it. I will never go back, nor will anyone that was in my party. Place is hard enough to find by searching online, I predict, and somewhat hope now, that they will not be around for long.

Good food. Nice dance floor upstairs.

Its more like a question.. does this place have a dance floor or something? .. Im lookinf to find a good place around Bethesda, Rockville or Gaithersburg area with decent music, bar and dance floor. Thank you for any recommendations.

Great venue. My daughter had a 80s party there. The venue is extremely nice! Had a great time.

Food was great and staff were all nice. The ambience is a bit quirky. Easy reservation via opentable.

This place was awesome! The menu is unique, and they have one of the best happy hours in bethesda.
