I have seen many massage therapists and by far one of my favorites is Tawnie T!! If you’re looking for a strong handed massage she is your therapist! I look forward to my massage every month and will only see her. I just had a massage today and I feel amazing. Can’t wait until next months session!!

This was my first visit to this location- I saw Melissa for my massage and Shaini for my facial - I could NOT have had a more wonderful experience!! Everyone, including the super sweet receptionist( sorry I dont remember your name), made it such an enjoyable experience from start to finish! If you have knots Melissa is your girl- incredible massage! Cant wait for another visit!

Nate was my masseuse tonight. He was just great, innovative technique that was really effective. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

I called ahead and made an appointment for two people for each to have a 60 minute massage. We arrived 15 minutes early as suggested and had the paper work complete well before our appointment time. We got into the room and talked to the massage therapist and then the massage started. It wasn’t a 60 minute massage, they didn’t come get us until 10 mins after our appointment time and after talking to them I would say it was a 40 minute massage at the max. A bit disappointing most places you talk to someone and are in and ready with a 60 minute session being about 55 mins. Just keep in mind the cheaper price is essentially just getting you a shorter massage. Overall massage was fine though.

I have been coming here for the last several months to get facials. I see Shaini. She is very respectful and precise with her work, she is also very clear with what to expect before she even starts her work. I have seen incredible improvements!

Phil is amazing. I also appreciate that he remembers his clients and what care was discussed previously. I’ve been struggling to find a massage service locally and think I’ve finally found one. I’ll be honest and say I did not expect to be pleasantly surprised by a chain place, but I love it here!

This location is great! You won’t regret booking a facial with Kelly, her attention to detail is unmatched and she provides a truly relaxing environment.

I cant believe this place is in Birmingham Michigan it seems like it would be more in a place like brightmoor Michigan. my wife went there as a B,day gift from her friend and she came back and told me some horrible experience she had. Im going to leave this short and Im just going to say dont bother she had a very unpleasant experience. 👎🤦‍♀️🤦☹️

Asked for medium to firm pressure, had to stop her twice and ask her to ease up. I left there with 2 large bruises on my back. Filled out the survey that was emailed to me, was contacted by someone who wanted me to rebook. When I asked if they would be covering the cost they went silent. Would not waste my money if youre looking for a relaxing experience.

Worst facial I’ve ever experienced! Very sloppy and She kept rubbing product over my eyes. After I told her I had contact lenses in, very choppy, sloppy facial. Every other massage envy, I’ve been to has always been great,

Shemeer is the best! I have been coming to see her for a few months and I always leave feeling the best. The staff is friendly and the services are awesome.

Let me start by saying Melissa normally does a really good massage. This time it was just okay and she ended it kinda abrupt, almost like she had to use the restroom or maybe because she started late or something, which had she said that and came back to finish I wouldnt mine but she didnt. I arrived for my 12pm appointment but wasnt called back until 12:30pm my massage was done at 1:10pm, naturally I was confused so I asked the front desk staff about the hands on time and was told that 10mins includes check in/out but as I explained to her that it was only 40mins she ignored me, plus when I arrived I waited 30mins so there wasnt a need for a 10min check in youd think?! Lol.Ive patronized this Birmingham location a handful of times and noticed that they will short you 15-20mins every time. I am not happy about that at all. I will be filling a formal complaint and finding a new place. Coming in for a massage for some of us hard working people is a luxury so to be short changed isnt fair at all.

Cozy environment, friendly and professional staff. My masseuse, Melissa C., was excellent. She asked questions and listened to my needs. The massage and stretch she gave me was much needed and appreciated.

I was stressed out and boy did my body show it. The massage therapist worked on my knots and kneaded my back till I was putty. The music & podcast was a little distracting, but the lighting, the massage, the experience was great. Im still sore (I did ask for a deep tissue massage), but feeling better than I had.The calming intake room is quiet and calming. Bonus is they have tea and water to help get you ready for your appointment. Then a lightly lit room with a heated table to help get you relaxed even more. Well worth a visit!

I had a great experience here.Jamal was kind, professional, and his technique is amazing.The receptionist made my transition as a new guest simple. She walked me through a survey prior to the massage to help communicate to Jamal my areas of concern.Every staff member I came into contact with was warm and welcoming.I would definitely recommend this place and I look forward to going back.

I just had a massage with Bobby and it was fantastic! He tailored the massage to my specific needs. I came in with a very tight back and neck and left feeling so much better because the tightness was gone. I liked the self care experience so much that signed up for a membership to give myself this bodywork monthly at a discounted rate. I also really liked the facility because it was clean, organized and the parking was close and convenient especially in the cold weather when walking back to my car and not tightening back up.Now that I have a membership I can use my massage or facial services anywhere. My friend recommended that I try the Massage Envy in Troy and to get a massage from Lori or Phillip.

I went for my birthday in August. Lets just say it was the most uncomfortable and awkward massage I ever received. Ruined my birthday. I told the lady at the front desk and she knew exactly what I was talking about when I shared my experience. She said a manager would reach out to me. I have called and left messages a few times and havent gotten any response. Horrible follow up as well. Extremely disappointed.

Ive had great massages. I particularly love Donna. I did have a negative experience where the one of the receptionists asked me if I tipped my masseuse as I was leaving. I was VERY offended. I had never been asked that before and upon investigating, I learned that this is not a question asked of everyone. Im left to wonder why I was asked. 🤔

This was my first visit to Massage Envy and I was very pleased. I recieved a gift certificate for my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I really needed the massage and the therapist as well as the staff were both friendly and attentive. They assessed me well and took care of the tightness I was experiencing. I would recommend them to others for massage services.

Great experience! My boyfriend & I went for a couples massage and loved it. The person at the front desk was very nice. Melissa & Barbara were awesome. Highly recommend.

I just visited the Birmingham location and had a great massage with Jorell and a facial with Shantelle. It was a fantastic spa day where I got to pamper myself for 2.5 hours. Both services were fantastic. I tired the Vitamin C facial which left my face looking more radiant and very soft. I even bought the facial kit so I can do some mini facials at home during the month. Jorell customized the massage to my needs and used a medium touch which I like. It was very relaxing and I felt so great afterwards. The front staff was very friendly and even got me a cup of hot water which I liked while I was waiting for my massage to start. The massage clinic is located next to Papa Joes in Birmingham. I used the reserved parking spot in front of the clinic that they have for Massage Envy clients, which was great! Cant wait to go back for another relaxing afternoon.

This is the first negative review I am writing. Prior to writing the review I called the location to discuss my negative experience and the manager rather than taking responsibility for her unprofessional conduct was defensive and offensive. The location itself is fine, nothing special. All staff from the check in to the service provider were kind, and courteous, and attentive. The issue came up when I was checking out. The manager was at the register when I came to check out. I gave her my card. She asked, Would you like to add a gratuity? I responded, Yes, 20%. Instead of saying thank you and that being the end of the conversation, the manager said further, Oh, please refer to the diagram to your left. I was confused. I looked at the diagram which has way to much text plus images for me to get the point of why I am being referred to it. So I repeated, I said, I would like to leave 20%. The manager persisted in shaming me for leaving an inadequate tip. I was completely shocked and stood my ground. When I left, I called back to speak with the manager. I communicated how her behavior was grossly inappropriate. Rather than finding a solution, the call ended with me committing to leaving this review and never returning to the business. Reader, take your business else where. I have had great experience at Woodhouse Day Spa in Detroit.

Dumb, dumb and unbelievably dumber!!! I made a massage apt for my wife, which they double booked and asked my wife to leave 20 minuets into a 60 minute massage. The manager Carrie offered us a 90 minute massage for the error and horrible experience. Well, Carrie quit and the new manger was to stupid to realize she was in customer saving mode and made us feel like she was doing us a favor! I just realized where the people that are to dumb to work at White Castle go for a job! Holy stupid!! God help our country! Our young people are incompetent ( for the sake of the new manager...this means dumb and useless).

This is by far the best ME location in metro Detroit!! I have been so disappointed with the other locations, so my visit to this place was very welcomed!! My one and only complaint is that some of the rooms neighbor to a bar or kitchen or something rather loud. Even still, I was able to relax just fine. Thank you Birmingham location for the great experience!

The massage was certainly adequate. The atmosphere of the waiting room could be improved. You can tell they tried but they missed the mark. I would go back again but they didnt Wow! me.

I get to the room, undress, get on table and massage therapist comes in. She says “you signed up for the 60 minute massage which is actually 50 minutes.” I said “no I signed up for the 90 minute massage”…she says oh let me go check (I’m on table, leg out) and she walks out and leaves door open!!! Comes back and says “oh you were booked for 60 minute (which is only 50 minutes) is that ok?” I say well I’d like the 90 minute which I thought I signed up for. She again says oh let me go check… (my leg still exposed, I’m on table, leaves room with door open) and this time comes back with the guy from front desk!!!! (I’m in disbelief)! He proceeds to discuss scheduling when I finally say “the 60 really 50 is fine!” He thanks me and leaves (finally the door to the public hallway is closed)! I think ah…ok now for the massage…but nooooooooo! She asks me if I ate my breakfast, then proceeds to tell me what kind of cereal she likes (and doesn’t like), talks about the weather, walking dogs, noise from business next door! When I tell her to please lighten up on the pressure she says sure no problem…she did not…it hurt like hell. Then afterwards she leaves, I begin getting dressed (literally 3 minutes pass) she’s knocking at the door saying “I’m coming in Lisa”! OMG Worst money ever spent!

Cool. Massage was great the therapist was cool but we talked too much so it took away from my experience

Aweful Aweful Aweful. DO NOT join. This franchise has dramatically deteriotated! Had been a member for 5 yrs. Over the last 1-2 years no consistant staff. The last time I was in my face was burned from a malfunctioning steamer during a facial in Oct/Nov of 2018. Went onto to cancel membership, not once but 3 times due to either incompetance or greed. My card has been charged on/off over the last 10 months since the original cancellation. despite proof of cancellation. DO not join.

I had an awesome full body massage. My body felt like a knotted rope when I arrived! Melissa relieved all my tensions & pain in 1 session.

For the last year I have bought several friends massages here - without trying it myself, last week I went for the first time, was absolutely horrifying- the male masseuse was 6.5 tall, kept his head down, wouldnt make eye contact with me, didnt shake my hand or even introduce himself - the front desk didnt even try to make it less awkward - The massage rooms are tiny sterile clinics- light was bright, no aromatherapy - this man massaged me with gloves in robotic way like I he didnt even want to be there - was the worst massage Ive ever had in my life - Im giving it two stars only for cleanliness of the place.

Dont have to be a member here, but its such a good deal, why not? Fantastic therapists, and front staff will check other Massage Envy locations nearby if theyre booked and youre looking at a specific time.

Sold us 2 one month trial memberships, had us fill out the contracts 4 times because she kept writing the wrong dates and did not provide the contract to us. Canceled within 3 weeks and was told we cannot cancel. They keep charging my credit card. Complete SCAM!!!!!

Sexual Assault . This location has ruined my many years of getting massages to relieve stress in my back . I would never get a massage ever again. I will not keep silent. Yes I did file a police report.
