I walked into Studio Diva at 10:03 on a Sunday morning hoping someone could fix my hair before I took kitchen scissors to it after a professional cut didnt turn out at all like I wanted. Not only was Michael incredibly gracious, but he made me an 11 am appt with Angela, who listened, immediately understood what I wanted and then proceeded to do it (angled bob) in record time with amazing skill and precision. It turned out she wasnt even supposed to be in today and I dont know why she was but Im so grateful. Will absolutely be back for my next cut and to try out their other services. I dont know how Ive missed this gem for so many years. THANK YOU, Angela!!

First time here for my hair cut and colored by Zoya and I loved it. My hair is very dark and I got a balayage and I’m always afraid it will not come out the right color but it came out exactly how I wanted. Will def come here again!

I have been going to Sandy for many years for hair, and absolutely love her. She is very talented and can do almost anything. She also is very good at helping you find the cut/style that fits your hair type, style, personality, and at even giving style advice, and she has a lot of experience. Highly recommended! Every time I go to this place everyone makes me feel like family. Sophia does nails & threading and is great at it. Sophia also treats me like family, and fits me in whenever I come. I love Cece at the front desk for her welcome and helpfulness. I love this place, and only in Brooklyn will you find a place where everyone knows you and makes you feel welcome. Everyone is efficient, helpful, skilled and experienced. The owner is Michael - he is such a nice man. Highly recommended!!

My first time at Diva Salon for a cut and color. Maya did an excellent job picking out the perfect color for a brunette and I am really happy with the cut too. Everyone’s the salon were very pleasant to deal with and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely go back !

Sandy has been cutting and coloring my hair for many years. Over the years, my hair has been many different lengths and Sandy always cuts it in a way that is appropriate for my face, age and lifestyle. I trust her so much that when she suggests a change, I go along with it. She’s a talented stylist and colorist and I’ve recommended her to friends, who have been happy with the results as well. I often get manicures and pedicures at the salon and it’s a relaxing experience. I highly recommend Studio Diva Salon and Spa and, in particular, my fantastic stylist Sandy.

I have been going to Maya for many years as she does phenomenal work! Her highlighting and haircutting abilities are extraordinarily good, and I have challenging hair. I couldn’t recommend her more!!And to add, Irene besides being an excellent manicurist/pedicurist who spends much time and care, she does a great job waxing and tinting eyebrows- a job not easy to do but one she does incredibly well!

I have been going to Maya for over 20 years. That alone shows how I appreciate Maya’s skills. She colors my hair (including hiding the gray) so that it looks natural, and then does a beautiful job cutting and blow drying my hair. I highly recommend her.

Sophia was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so glad I found her! My tootsies were a disaster after schlepping around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and she gave the most incredible pedicure. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Michael for years and I always get a great haircut. I have very curly hair so its hard to find someone that understands how it will dry. I haven’t had any bad surprises since going to see Michael and I have recommended the salon to friends.

Ive been going to Sandy at Diva Salon since 2001 and she is a talented hairdresser. I know that I am one of many clients that has followed her and been her client for a long time. She has a long list of regulars who, like me, trust her with their hair color, highlights, cuts, and style. I have curly, frizzy hair that I like blow dried and flat ironed, and she always cuts and styles it beautifully. My hair color and highlights look very natural. In the summers, I also get a keratin treatment to reduce the frizziness.

A great neighborhood salon and spa. Every service is done with care and attention, plus it’s nice to go somewhere and be recognized, and treated well. From the coffee of tea when you walk into the great manicure, haircut and color. Recommend Angela for great hair: color, highlights and cut. Sophia for nails and brows.

DO NOT come here for a gel manicure. I came in and wanted a gel removal as well as a manicure. They didn’t have a drill bit so the woman used her nails to scrape off the gel. The nail polish just kept running and their uv dryer didn’t work. I left with my nails damaged and no manicure.

This was my first time there. All I needed was a simple mens trim. Bottom line: Michael is a magician. I have wavy thick hair that,despite my best efforts, is either sticking straight up or just a series of unkempt lumps. Not any more. I finally got the haircut that I always wanted but just didnt know it was possible.Needless to say, Ill be back.

Pretty good experience!My stylist was super friendly and made me comfortable. However when it came to coloring -- I had never had my hair colored and went in for partial caramel/honey colored, face framing highlights. I left with bright, sort of ashy coloring!I called the salon the next day and they fixed it quickly and free of charge, leaving me with really nice warm, natural looking highlights. Original cut was great. Would recommend, but maybe if youre someone who doesnt get their hair done a lot -- make sure you are very specific!

Used to go to Bayridge to get my hair done and they would charge me over $285.00 for half head highlights. Went to Studio Diva Salon and the owner Michael was very accommodating as well has I only paid 100.00 for half head! It only took him 1 hr to do and I used to wait up to 3 hours for the process in Bayridge. They also offer a discount on Kerastase! I will now be going to Michael as this salon is very sweet and gives you a welcoming vibe when you walk in! Love it here!!!

I went in for partial highlights. Said over and over again that I just wanted a few highlights to frame my face. Very few. Could not have been more specific. I had an appointment with Bella who you could tell wasnt really listening. She pulled up hair in the back to color treat and I told her I dont want any highlights in the back, just around my face. She scoffed and ignored me and colored the hair. Needless to say, I ended up with ALOT more highlights than I wanted. It was a classic case of a hairstylist not listening. On top of everything, the highlights were a bright coppery orange! Ive been working to fix them and my hair is paying the price. Go if you are ok with a hairstylists who thinks they know best but doesnt. So frustrating because I was so clear about what I (the client) wanted!

Ive been going to Studio Diva regularly for 3 years for haircut and highlights. Im incredibly particular - have been looking for years for someplace to call my hair home, and Michael gets it right every time. Im hooked. He and his staff are pleasant, professional, polite and talented. The espresso drinks are a lovely added touch. The value for the money cant be beat.

I have been to the salon before for all over hair color and was happy with the service and results. Today I went in for eyebrow threading but was informed they only did waxing. I decided to have the waxing done. Unfortunately the wax was very hot and both my eyelids are now burned. They are a nice studio with professional hair sylists, but I would caution against getting any waxing done there

I had a terrible experience here getting gel nails with tips. The women were nice, but they were not able to understand what I wanted after I showed them an exact picture, the result looks nothing LIKE the picture, and even though the price chart posted inside says “UV gel nails” for $65, I was charged $104 and when I asked why, I was given some stupid explanation about how what I requested was a combination of two things on their menu so they had to add up the prices?? The exact thing I got was listed on their menu as $65 so the explanation made no sense. Also, had to repeat myself 10 times every time I had to explain something about what I was asking for (which was not complicated request, I’ve gotten it several times at other nail salons). would not come here again. Update: It’s been about 14 hours, and one of the nails has broken because they used old glue that didn’t work properly.

Ever since I moved to NYC, this is the only place I’ll go to get my nails done. It’s affordable, and the staff is very talented. I always have Sofia do my manicure, every week, and my nails always look amazing and don’t chip for much longer than expected. I highly recommend coming here! You won’t regret it, and you’ll have a new go-to nail salon in Brooklyn.

I have been going to Divas for many years. Michael, the owner, is a gifted hair stylist who runs the salon with professionalism and warmth. The salon is spotless; the staff are talented individuals who value customer satisfaction above everything else.

I just got my nails done there a couple of days ago. Got an amazing green tea spa pedicure and a gel manicure. I loved the attention I received from the workers and felt very happy I found this place. Would definitely recommend!

This is the worst place I’ve ever gone to. First, they are not pleasant people. My sister got through one nail before she realized that she did not like the color and all the lady did was complain about it for the rest of the time there. Second, if you don’t have flip flops they give you a pair to borrow ( which they DO NOT wash). Next, I’m not very sure what they put on my nails when filling them but it had a texture just a bit more dense than water and it severely burned (maybe an allergic reaction but I’m not sure) it ended up “melting/burning” away many layers of one of my nails. That same nail also got very badly infected (I do not think they clean their tools either). There are flies everywhere in the salon. It took the lady an hour and a half to fill my nails only for one to break very easily a couple days later. And the last thing I can think of is that their pricing is ridiculous for their quality and their service. They told me I had to pay $29 more just for a gel color when it came to getting a fill in for my extensions. I’ve gotten nails done so much better for so much cheaper when I lived in Jersey.

I had a wonderful experience. The lovely woman who did my new hair color and cut was phenomenal. We had a great conversation while she worked. I ended up with a wonderful color for my hair and a great haircut. Even the shampoo was great.

Mario at Diva Salon has been my colorist and hair stylist since 2001. I have recommended him to tons of people because his work is if the highest quality. I have seen him worn in all different types, textures and lengths of hair, each time flawlessly. Highly recommend him

Myself and two friends had made appointments for mani pedi on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty busy but they started on our little group right away. I had to wait a bit but was checked in on a few times if I wanted anything while I waited.Very pleased with the service and care.

Absolutely terrible- the worst haircut I’ve gotten in at least a decade. You know how they say that a minute can change your life? For me it was 15 minutes and $80, and they will change the next 4+ months that it will take for my hair to grow back. The whole experience was a surreal return to bad 90s salons with an outdated technique, horrible layers that I did not ask for and a condescending, patronizing hairdresser that gaslit me when I expressed my discontent at her- a different era thankfully long gone, but in which I unfortunately found myself in on this unassuming strip of BKH. It takes me three times as long to get ready in the morning now, as she completely disregarded the texture of my hair when cutting and now I MUST heat style it for it to look remotely presentable- the shape is so bad, I can choose between a perfectly horrid pyramid if I keep my texture or a lifeless, long pseudo mullet if I straighten it. I’ll have nightmares about the disdain and lack of care with which she snipped away at my once beautiful hair, leaving odd gaps in volume- not to mention the fact that she ruined the sweater I wore to the salon as she cut dry hair on my uncovered sleeves. I went in for a trim. She cut long bangs and layers on my full length, softly curly hair.Lastly- they don’t actually work the hours they say they do (on the sign or on the website)- you have to call to make sure they’ll be there. In short… Avoid at all costs- these are Hair Cuttery services at Spoke & Weal prices.

As a naturally curly-haired girl, Im pretty apprehensive of salons. An especially terrible experience kept me from going back to one for a few years, but after my visit to Diva my faith has been restored! First off, the woman who gave my hair a quick shampoo showed so much care -- it was one of the most relaxing washes Ive ever had. David cut my hair and was very attentive and vocal about what he was doing as he was doing it. He knew how cutting curly hair causes it to coil up tighter and checked with me by showing me strands directly how much he was removing. He assured me my hair wasnt in as bad shape as I had thought and talked me out of an inverted bob Id been considering that appropriately said I give up. Im so glad he did! He finished up by giving me a sexy blow out and helping me understand what products my hair would appreciate for future care. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for your next tresses treatment!Thanks for bringing my locks back to life, David!

I didn’t think a manicure could be painful until I came here. The hand drill device they used to remove my powder manicure kept slipping onto my skin (ouch!) and despite me stating that it was burning, the manicurist continued filing down my nails until they were paper thin with annoyance. They charged me extra for just wanting a base coat (???) and I had to ice my fingers lost manicure. Deeply disappointed and an actual waste of time and money.I have not given bad reviews before for anything, but this experience sadly merits one.

I rarely get my nails done and decided to treat myself. I love Brooklyn Heights and found a good Groupon for a Mani & Pedi. Irene is fantastic for manicures and everyone is great for pedicures. The place is small but clean and friendly. Its also conveniently located next to 2,3 Clark Street station and a few blocks from either A,C High Street or F, Jay street.

Michael gave me a fantastic haircut. Couldnt have asked for a better one. The massage from one of the ladies was so-so, I wouldnt come back for another massage from her, but I definitely recommend asking for Michael for a haircut. I would come back to him next time I am in Brooklyn.

Since 2010, Mario is the only stylist/colorist Ive ever been faithful too. Hes intuitive, smart, and super talented. I am not the only client of his who moved to NJ and crosses two rivers to see Mario. So worth it. LOVE

Ive been going here loyally for a year now and been pretty happy but recently I feel this place is going downhill. It seems every time I go in there is different women and the quality consistency is really poor. This last visit though was the final straw. I showed up with my fiancé and he asked for a pedicure buff and I asked for my gel to be removed and just regular polish. My fiancé finished before the women even got my gel off. She continued to go and help other people including doing a womans eyebrows half way through removing my gel. She was also really rough and multiple times scraped my skin off while removing the gel- which Ive never had happen before and just was really aggressive in holding my hands etc. I asked her to keep the length and not cut a lot- showing her with my pinky the length I wanted. She then goes on to slowly cut the rest of them shorter and shorter. Then I tell her they are shorter than I wanted she told me my nails were too weak to be that long- but my pinky is long and the rest are 75% shorter now.( also funny because I had multiple nails with no gel that did just fine for a week.) Then I realize after she begins panting she missed removing gel for almost an entire hand and let her know. She goes back and corrects but then again after I look there was still gel on my hand. Finally I gave up because my fiancé had to wait over and hour just for my manicure before it was even ready to be dried and I didnt want to redo anymore. Im done, unfortunately Ive sent many friends here over the year but wont anymore. This experience was just too much of a disappointment all around.

I do not recommend this place for balayage, ombre, or anything related to highlighting if you do not already have blonde hair. I provided Michael with balayage picture that I desired and said he could do it. Turns out his whole technique of balayage is not balayage at all but basic highlights as he used foil instead of hand painting throughout my hair. Once the so called balayage was done I saw that parts of my hair was orange and had to ask Michael to tone down the orange. He definitely toned down the orange though was not detailed and left sections of orange. I was charged full price for balayage which is more than than highlights, which I ended up with.

I was in the neihborhood decided to pamper my self a little. Came across Diva Nail Salon looked nice from the outside / in. I decided to get my filling done there and toes. In my experince the service was quick , friendly and proffesional . Very good Nail Artists would highly recommend for anyone who wants proper treatment=)

Great dissatisfaction from the service and result that Ive gotten. Ill just speak for myself and the Russian woman who did my nails.My nails were cut and filed in odd and inconsistent shapes and the dry skins around them were not even removed. My cuticle got randomly and violently pushed causing little spots of blood and when I pointed it out to the girl, shes like meh about it. I was also trying to point out how I thought my nails were not properly cut, and it looks like the girl was confused, thinking she has been doing a really great job. I honestly felt like it was a waste of time and money. Im giving 1 star because their manipedi included a mini scrub (which i though was also poorly done, bits of the scrub were still all over my feet after being washed). These are just some but I felt like the overall experience was horrible for me for the most part.

I pass by here on my way to work every day and finally stopped in for a mani-pedi. The place is small, but welcoming. The girl who did my nails was really sweet and thorough. She even wrapped my toes and helped me put my boots on so that the polish wouldnt smudge.

Wonderful place... small intimate with dedicated staff... I have never never met anyone as dedicated as Katia to remove every bit of dead skin and cuticle. The girl is exceptional at ingrown toe nails trimming... this place is a keeper

Worst manicure and pedicure ever. Nails were filed unevenly and polish was globbed on ridiculously thick and also uneven. Pedicurist cut my nails too short despite being asked only to file. Wont be going back.

Michael is a genius with color & cut!

This place is horrible. Don’t go here. I bought a deal for my balayage/haircuts and couldn’t be more upset with the results. My hair came out looking like blond bleached streaks and not blended at all. I have to now go pay someone else to fix it. This is not what I paid for and they refuse to give me a refund or they won’t charge me to fix it if I take off my bad review.

The worst eyebrow threading Ive ever had - left one eyebrow much thinner than the other and missed some obvious strays under the eyebrows. Terrible shellac that chipped on multiple nails after two days, and nails were shaped awfully. Wouldnt recommend to anyone

RACIST ESTABLISHMENTMy friend (Dominican) and I (Black) were referred to this location by the diva spa down the street and we walk in and ask for mani pedi deal and pick our nail colors. A white woman comes in after us and asks if there is a wait and the worker tells her no. My friend and I were told to sit and the white woman sat down right after us. My friend starts her pedi and Im sitting while the only other available worker starts the white womans pedi. I sit and look for a moment like why would they service her first. My friend then asks why isnt she being served and the worker woman says someone is on their way for me. I sit for almost two mins before I must get up and cry my tears outside at the thought of this place blatantly serving the white woman first. I leave and my friend asks why the white woman was taken before me and they lie and tell her she had an appt. she DID NOT have an appt and didnt have anything to say. Just sat there and allowed them to service her before me. My friend stopped her pedi and followed me a few mins later. We went back to the diva spa to inform the owner and he offered no apology. He looked right at me and said nothing. RACIST ESTABLISHMENTS DONT DESERVE CUSTOMERS.

I’ve been coming here for a year and I’m very satisfied. The nail salon is always clean and the service is very good. The people are nice and take care of you.

I can’t speak about it’s quality as a hair salon but I would NEVER go back here for a wax. I left with wax all over me, the job wasn’t done, my clothes are filled with wax and I’m in pain with instant bruising. Criminal.

Manicure is good BUT they offer back massage without having a chair massage so I had to sit in a regular chair, with back, and lay my forehead on a furniture, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!
