Boardwalk Salon & Spa

I chose boardwalk because of the great reviews and the February pedicure special they had. When I called to book a regular pedicure, I asked if it’d be okay to bring my almost 3 year old and just have her toe nails painted (sit in my lap and put her feet in my tub). They were great and accommodated that request. The lighting wasn’t great so I didn’t notice how bad the polish job was until after we got home. I also didn’t receive the special pricing (charged $45 instead of $35). I didn’t notice the price at the time because I was focused more on my toddler while checking out, but I didn’t call to complain about price either like I contemplated (I figured they accommodated my toddler for a good price). I even tipped the girl even though my pedicure that was supposed to be an hour was only 45 min for me plus my toddler. I wasn’t going to complain at all, but paying full price, not getting a full hour, and getting an awful paint job deserves at least a review based solely on the work done (rest is just my experience). I usually do my own nails, but I was 34 weeks pregnant when I went, I can’t really reach and breathe at the same time when I paint my own, a foot rub sounded amazing, and I wanted a fun bonding experience for my toddler before sister comes (she did have fun so I’m focusing on that). Still frustrated that my nails look this way, though.

I get my nails done by Skye all the time, and never once have I left disappointed. Hes always on time and has done an AMAZING job every session, the colors hes picked when Im undecided are perfect and every time he does art its all been free handed. If theres anyone at this spa I would recommend going to its him.Skye takes his time to make sure youre comfortable and it really shows. After a session with him I leave feeling better than when I came in.Ive lost a lot of the photos Ive taken personally so heres a mix of ones Ive taken and ones hes taken (hes done more colors and designs than just these photos too, but again Ive lost the pictures.)I 100% encourage you to request Skye! You wont be disappointed.My 5 stars go to him specifically!

What an AMAZING experience today, My stylist Vanessa, knew exactly what I wanted, I asked for a new fall look and I was very pleased with her services. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and I will definitely be booking in the future. I recommend you book your future Blowouts with her, she is top-notch!

My husband and I got a full body couples massage and it was amazing!! I’ve gotten my hair cut and colored by Lauren and I loved it! I’ve also gotten a few facials. Jennifer did awesome on my manicures and pedicures. Will forever recommend this spa and salon! Truly has everything for the perfect self pamper day!

Kelsey was my stylist and shes great! She knew exactly what I wanted and my hair is perfect! I wanted a perm that gave me soft waves and thats exactly what I got.

Got my eyebrows threaded here. The salon was nice and clean. Flor did a great job on my eyebrows. Im very happy with them. She was helpful and attentive.

I got my lashes done by Dana and she is nothing short of amazing! The service was prompt, professional, and the final product exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be coming back to her and recommend her to anyone!!!

Love this place!!! They made a mother and daughter outing so much fun. Our nails by Amanda and April were beautiful. These two ladies are so kind. The salon is quiet and peaceful and clean. I would recommend this salon to everybody.

Alyssa is amazing!!!!! She is professional, she knows what she is doing, she is the nicest friendliest person ever! Out of 10 places I have tired she was the only one to get my lashes to lift! Can’t tell u enough how great she is.

Shout out to Elma! Shes a wonderful hair stylist there. Very friendly. Ive had my haircut with her once and had highlights twice. She did a great job every time! They keep the place very clean; fresh vibe. Definitely recommend and plan to return myself for my next hair appointment!

This may not be the most obvious choice for a mens cut, but I decided to give it a try since I was able to get an appointment for after work....and let me say, Pauliha did an excellent job and made my cut look fabulous! Her attention to detail and friendly service made the experience a great one! I didnt catch her name, but the receptionist at the front was very friendly as well! Definitely will want Pauliha to take care of my hair again when the time comes!

Amanda was who I needed to meet today. She was observant of my state of mind and matched for comfort. I dont know if it was conscious but she made me feel relieved. Thanks!!

I had my hair cut and blow dried by sweet Elma. I havent had any one but my daughter do my hair for years but she no longer lives in state. I was a little nervous but no need to be. Elma is an experienced professional...lovely inside and out. Great job.

I get my lashes done by Leslie. She is so professional and super nice! Very clean and I’m always so so happy with my lashes! I actually look forward going because she makes it such a relaxing experience! 5 stars hands down!

I have been to the salon before to get a manicure and pedicure and it was a wonderful experience. However, this last trip was absolutely terrible. The person who was supposed to do my nails was curt and rude. I felt entirely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Left without getting anything done because of the way that I was received. People come to get their nails and hair done and whatever else and do not expect to be treated poorly.

This is the most fabulous hair salon, nail salon and spa I have ever been so fortunate to be pampered at. Everything is pristine, well-thought-out and the wonderful stylist who made me look ten years younger and as cute as I get, was very kind and thoughtful with her every word and deed. I highly recommend this establishment with my best wishes to all who are fortunate to be employed by the lovely lady who is in charge. Thank you! I will be back!

Jennifer Nichols has cut my hair for 8 years, and I highly recommend her! She listens to her customers and works to find styles that not only look good but are easy to care for. She is also a great colorist. She is always upbeat, and getting my hair cut and styled by Jennifer is an enjoyable experience. She also knows which products are best for my hair. The entire Boardwalk staff is great, and they all make you feel welcome. The best!!!

Carolyn is amazing! My hair was seriously damaged from another salon, and my color was patchy and honestly embarrassing. Carolyn took the time to discuss options with me and what would be best to heal my damaged hair, and make it beautiful again. She is a miracle worker, and my hair is soft and beautiful again. I am so grateful to have found her! Plus she gives and amazing pedicure too!

I was extremely pleased with the overall experience at Boardwalk. The atmosphere was over the top in relaxation. The staff was helpful, friendly and very professional. I sensed a good team spirit between the staff which is hard to find and made for a very pleasant experience while there. Emily did a wonderful job in suggesting style and color on my hair. She did an amazing job on my hair.

I had a wash and conditioning and a cut and blow dry style by stylist Elma Adame. Elma did a wonderful job cutting my hair and I have gotten various compliments on my haircut and style. Thank you Elma for such a wonderful job with my hair. You are the greatest!!! The shop is very nice and clean and the staff is friendly. However the price is a bit more than I normally would pay. But I would see Elma again even if I have to spend a bit more for great and excellent work. FYI, lowering your prices a tad bit could allow for better tipping for the Stylists or worker.

Carolyn is amazing! She is a great listener, knowledgeable and very talented. I was nervous about switching stylist after moving to CS and she has been such a blessing. The staff at Boardwalk are all very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

Elma is a curly hair genius. As a curly girl I am always anxious about a hair cut. I will definitely be going back to see Elma. She was kind and helpful and did a beautiful job. My curls are instantly bouncer, lighter, and I feel like her advice for hair care was above and beyond what she had to do. So worth it!I felt safe from COVID and things were kept clean and it was not crowded.

Callie is the BEST, y’all! I’m notoriously tender-headed, and I almost always go into the salon expecting to feel at least a little discomfort—not with Callie, though! Not only was she very gentle with my hair, she was incredibly personable and did a fabulous job cutting my hair this afternoon! Thank you, Callie!

My stylist was Emilie Evans & she was AMAZING!! I’m that annoying customer that goes in not knowing what I want & just tell people to do what they think is best. Well, she nailed it!! My hair hadn’t been touched for six months, so it was a complete makeover. Highly recommend!! :)

Casey gave me a great cut! I have curly long hair. My layers got messed up from going to a quick/ cheap place (not worth savings 🤣🤣) but also her price was very reasonable! Very pleased to have found her!

Norma Quintero is extremely professional yet extremely friendly. I have gone to her for manicures for many years and have never been disappointed. Norma is very helpful when I can’t decide what color polish I want on my nails, too.She never fails to suggest just the right shade.

Jennifer and Ashley are so much fun to be around. Jennifer colors cuts and styles my hair. She is a genius with color. I always love the way my hair looks.Ashley takes car of my lashes, brows and does a fantastic facial. You just can’t go wrong with these two.

Jenifer Nichols has been my stylist for over 4 years, her positive attitude, expertise with color, cut & style is what makes Jennifer a true expert in her field.I have baby fine hair and sometimes suffer with scalp issues.The Phyto products are amazing and my hair has never been as healthy as it is today.The Salon is professionally designed & furnished so when you arrive for your appointment the environment is both relaxing & beautiful.The Staff takes time to get to know their Clients, know their preferences, confirm you have your supply of products and schedule your next appointment.What more could you ask for?Boardwalk Hair Salon is fabulous!

I’ve been coming to her since October for my cuts...which let me explain, I live an hour and a half away so to drive that far it better be good!...I finally decided it was time for a change. My hair looks FABULOUS!!!!!!! I literally cried I’m so happy. If you want to feel like you hit the lottery book her fast before people discover our secret!!!!

This was my worst experience ever getting my nails done. I was first wrongly informed by the receptionist with whom I set my appointment with of the skill set of the nail tech I was given. I had asked for a faded French to which she didn’t know how to do. On top of that I asked for almond shaped nails and I received far from it. That too she didn’t know what was. Though she tried her best the nails came out uneven, thick and lacking. To be fair I’m a college student and the regular clients that come here seem to be quite older. While I thought my nail tech was very nice she failed to polish all parts of the nail including the sides. So, if you look far away and only on top then I guess my nails look okay. I’m now having to purchase remover as I’m very embarrassed by my current set of nails.

My husband and I love our hair cuts and drive from Lubbock TX every 7 weeks for our appointments in the Cedar Park location! There are even times we must make a “Round Trip” visit - 6 hours each way🤗We have been seeing Jennifer since 2013 before moving to Lubbock.She is an incredibly talented hair stylist and a gifted business woman! I have been going to Boardwalk Salon and Spa for three years now while living in both Bryan and College Station, Texas. When I moved across town, I still keep going to Boardwalk. They are great. All of the stylists are both professional and knowledgeable. In particular, I have worked with Emily and Elma. They are awesome! My grown daughter has also utilized their services. I always walk out feeling beautiful. Since the Covid Crisis , I have been back twice. The salon follows all safety and hygiene practices. I feel safe when I am there, and this matters alot as a girl in my 50s. I recommend Boardwalk. They are a full service salon with many caring individuals who strive to take care of all their clients and help each one of them to look and feel their very best. Call them; you wont regret it!

I absolutely just love and adore Eddie! Every time he delivers a fanfreakintabulous haircut! Ive seen a few other stylists in town when hes been sick or on vacation and theyre haircuts never measure up to his. Hands down I would recommend him to anyone!

Lauren was super nice and easy to talk to! I was very hesitant about what exactly I wanted to do with my hair but Lauren found the perfect color and I am absolutely in LOVE with how it came out. Not to mention my hair feels extremely healthy now.

I love this salon for eyelash extensions (especially since I am allergic to makeup and they even put extensions on your BOTTOM lashes) & all facial services. I get my hair done there very regularly plus ashiata massages which means they use their feet instead of hands. Reception crew very friendly and great location in Bryan such a quaint building too! They all try to make it happen to accommodate you and your schedule so you can be happy!!

Norma did my nails October 4 and I just lost my first one today, they didnt chip or break off and they where stunning and perfect! I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone! I typically dont trust anyone to do my nails but I am very pleased with this place and their work.

I wanted some fall nail art with my pedicure. Sky was wonderful! He did everything freehand, and had the perfect colors for fall. Best foot massage on my pedicure! Awesome experience. Will be doing this again real soon.

I was hesitant to get a haircut during this time, but Boardwalk is definitely going above and beyond to take appropriate precautions and I felt VERY SAFE! This was my first time to get my hair cut at Boardwalk. My stylist, Elma, was very personable and attentive to what I wanted and I felt very at-ease during my cut. Definitely going back! :)

I was evacuated from Louisiana during our most recent hurricane experience. I was stressed and dirty. I took the opportunity to get a haircut and found myself at this salon. I was pleasantly surprised by Khelsi! Who not only listened to me babble and complain about my life, offering cheerful jokes and conversations, but also gave me the best haircut Ive gotten in a while!!

Absolutely botched haircut and covered it up with curls knowing how horrible it was, stylist told me to let her know if there were ck concerns she knew ot was BAD. Had to completely cut off all length to fix it.

I truly like each hairdresser Ive found at this establishment but I came to write a review on the fact that each time I find a new hairdresser and they move, this business does not contact me to tell me this so that I can cancel or move my appointment to another person. This has happened twice, both times getting text confirmation for my appointment 2 days before (great feature) and when I call to confirm or ask for something, Im informed they no longer work there and cant tell me where theyve gone as they have no idea.

Very disappointed in my service at Boardwalk a couple of weeks ago. I had scheduled myself for a 90 minute deep tissue massage (I am a nurse and just needed some really good work done on my back). To start, the person who did my massage told me she would not be doing a deep tissue on me, that if I needed that then we would need time to evaluate my needs and work up to a deep tissue but that she was willing to do a swedish massage. Uh...ok? She talked the entire massage which is my fault for not telling her that Id rather have a nice relaxing quiet massage. She brought up some political things that made me a uncomfortable. When it was time to pay I had to make sure I wasnt being charged for a deep tissue which was $30 more. I did call the manager afterwards and she sounded shocked and told me she would be reaching out to me to offer discounts on future services but I never did hear back. Im only giving 3 stars because of my experience previous to this one where my fiance surprised me with a full spa day of massages, facials, nails and toes and hair and makeup. The staff at that time were INCREDIBLE. Im hoping to give them another chance, and Im also hoping my massage therapist was made aware of the negativity her actions/words had on the business.

Elma was fantastic! She is very personable, professional, and genuinly listened to what I was wanting with regard to my desired hair style/cut goal. Will definitely be going back and requesting her again.

I did not have a good experience here. Im hoping it was just the day I came. Communication amongst staff was poor. Appt. I originally made had been changed. People I booked with changed. I wasnt made aware of it. There were some positives. Its a nice facility. Staff were friendly. The cost I paid to have this experience was not worth it. Add insult to injury I received a notice directly from owner that I never went here and I made a false claim. I would never. I have the bank statement to prove it. The sad part about all this, I very rarely post reviews. However, that is how bad the experience was. Its difficult not to take things personal. You work hard and do your best. This is not my real name on Google so its hard to make the connection. Any good customer service representative would ask the customer for clarification or get my name before making any assumptions. Profile or not, I did make the appt and you did not honor or communicate what was requested. I just marked this a two. That reply was not professional and unwarranted.

My mother came here recently for a cut and highlights and her hair looks awful and she was defrauded by her stylist, Curtis Lewis. She got an estimate of $120-130 when she booked, but he charged her $250 after falsely claiming he performed extra services. The salon refunded her minus the tip (I dont even know why she tipped after what he did) once she told them what happened.Her highlights are orange, uneven and he decided not to do the back. He hurt her neck by not even using the neck rest while shampooing. Then, he had the audacity to charge her for services he didnt perform (it was after hours and no one else was there, so he thought hed get away with it).She called the salon the next day to ask why they quoted her a price that was half of what she was billed and they told her that the quoted price was correct and that Curtis billed her for services he didnt perform. The salon refunded her what she paid minus the tip quickly, so the two stars are for the salon only. The highlights and cut were terrible, she was defrauded, but the salon offered and paid her the refund quickly.

Had a great first experience at Boardwalk. My stylist Jenna was so sweet and welcoming and I will definitely be going back to her for all my other hair needs.

Kelly is, quite simply, the best at cutting my hair. She is professional and can always produce exactly the results I want. The other staff at Boardwalk is also courteous and professional, and the atmosphere while waiting is always pleasant.

Best hair cut Ive gotten since moving to BCS. I used to go to an Aveda Salon in Austin and loved it, and have been looking for someone of equal quality since. Carolyn used to work at an Aveda Salon and I could tell with her skill and knowledge of hair products (not to mention the wonderful head massage). This all for almost half than I wouldve paid at an Aveda Salon. Next, Leslie is the most thorough/precise nail technician Ive EVER had. She gave me great advice for my thick cuticles and made my short, stubby nailbeds look a thing of beauty. Ive already planned regular appointments with both.

My mom and I come here every year for her birthday to get pedicures. We love it! It’s clean, they always do a great job and the staff is very nice!

I have spent the last couple of years looking for a new hairstylest and am so happy I found Elma! My daughters and I all use her. She is friendly, listens, and really gets to know her clients.

I’ve heard bad feedback from recent employees that everyone is careless here. That the manager Jennifer? Who I see leaves a good review on her own salon treats others poorly ( the rest of the reviews are employees also) . I’ve gone in for a appointment and they mistreated their receptionist, she looked as if she was really hurt by what they said, and no one paid no mind to it. I will not recommend going here.

Had my hair done by Anna, she was very knowledgable and friendly, she spent a lot of time making sure I had the perfect cut and I absolutely love it! Cant reccomend her enough!

Skye is the best when it comes to manicures and pedicures. Hes meticulous about the service. Courteous and on time. All the staff are very kind and professional. The business place is very clean and sanitary. Cant wait for the next service!

April did such a great job with my wax. She made me feel comfortable, was very friendly & so sweet! 12/10 recommend!

My neck was really sore. Making a clicking sound and hard to turn. I booked with William for a massage. Amazing! In 20 minutes I could move my neck and he wasnt to deep. Great results! Thank you William! If you are looking to get some help with joint pain, William is the one to try.

This was my 1st visit here and part of the reason I came was due to an old friend working there as well as having a brazas Vip gift certificate. Tricia was my hairstylist and she gave me a perm and I found her to be extremely professional and knowledgeable and easy to talk to and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I think I have been a client at Boardwalk Hair Salon for 5+ years… In fact I even moved to a new town about an hour away and tried to find a new place but was not satisfied… so I drive an hour and it is well worth it! Suffice it to say I am an extremely satisfied customer with the Boardwalk Hair Salon and everything they have to offer!

Jennifer always does a fantastic job cutting my hair. She has a great sense on what will work well for me and takes the time to get the details right.

Eva was great! Very friendly and highlighted my roots perfectly. Salon was very nice, each stall is in its own private area which was really nice.

Had to make a move, being in the area for a couple of years now and the girls couldnt be nicer. Runs like a tight oiled machine * Ive had a couple clutches * trying to get to know each other and who works best for you. Would expect nothing less. I give them all 4.5 + 🌟 🌟

Great experience, 1st time getting pedicure ever and boy lemme tell ya my feet are thanking me , I do alot of heavy lifting and carrying at work and at the shop so not having to worry about a toenail cutting into my other toe is definitely a plus (lol), nail technician was definitely cool ( I think her name was Skye or skylar or starla)made sure I was comfortable and did an absolutely amazing job , this was my 1st choice and will be my last choice , Im not looking anywhere else for a pedicure or massage , I know exactly where Im coming

I always have a good experience when I visit with my membership, I gifted a massage to my friend and he enjoyed it as well, we had a late start and had to wait but it was well worth it

Im revising my previous 5 star review to a 2. After less than one week my nails are falling off and look horrible. So much for the spa experience.

Comfortable waiting area, excellent rooms, and quick efficient checkout to close. Set up for next appointment at close out. Full body deep tissue massage is unmatched.

The atmosphere is relaxing and April is fantastic. She did an awesome job. My nails look fabulous.

I love going to Miss Norma for my mani/pedis. She is the best! I never find a flaw with her work.

The owner is quite fake with clients and requires all staff and clients to be on camera at all times. Little crazy if you ask me. Also pretty dirty and cluttered place I would not trust them to do any services. If you come here just be aware that people are watching you live on camera. Yikes.
