OYO Hotel Burlington South

What the hell? I reserved a room online on the OYO website no mention that the hotel was CLOSED DOWN. This hotel does not even exist. Its completely empty and vacant and theres dumpsters and caution tape all over the whole parking lot.

How in AMERICA is it allowed to scammed by a business that takes payment and sends an itternary text to confirm but doesn’t exist!’ I can not track down an owner just a call center. Btw. The number I am receiving the text from is not a working number!!I am American citizen and was scammed!! Please don’t book this hotel online. The company still taking your money willing knowing the hotel doesn’t exist in Burlington,NCLook at all the reviews for the OYO hotel in Burlington,NC !!

Almost booked here but thank heavens I read the reviews first before I paid my hard earned money. The reviews are all the same — rude owners and workers, disgusting rooms with unsanitary conditions. It is also not under the OYO anymore it is now Maple Inn and they wont honor your reservation and will basically keep your money. Booking websites list this property under OYO to unsuspecting people who will make the mistake of booking here. It just seems like this place is ran by addicts who charge whatever they want and keep your money. Gross people. They should be ASHAMED.

The owner when I went to make sure the room I reserved was ready for check i was yelled at by a man who claimed to be the owner telling me he doesnt honor Reservations from priceline since 2023 January and told me I wouldnt get my money back and being that I reserved the room and stopped others from renting the room it would be a 150$ I then had to call priceline they helped and found me another place with no problem but I wouldnt recommend this place for the lowest forms of people. Dont waist your time and or money.

I reserved with oyo and they failed to mention that the hotel was permanently closed still trying to get my money back 0/10 do not recommend and I will for obvious reasons won’t be returning because the place is shut down

This hotel trash whole the dude in the front with the suit on picks whatever price he wants he told me one night was 80 dolllars it’s holes in the wall my remote doesn’t work so I can’t even change the tv it’s supposed to be on pets and I seen a lady walking a dog in the halls my key for my door doesn’t even work and they suggested I leave my door unlocked they don’t even do breakfast but you was trying to charge me 80 dollars for on night it’s holes in the windows in the lobby when I first got here they said I had to refund my money online because “they don’t do that anymore” seems like a scam worst hotel in the area don’t come here it’s not worth it find another hotel it’ll save you the stress and time

Very bad hotel, incompetent staff, I booked a room, made a payment, and was told that online bookings are not accepted and the money is not refunded. I dont recommend this to anyone. And despite all this, there is a very nasty smell of marijuana and dirt in the room.

I believe the man who had a terrible attitude is one of the Owners of the motel I guess. He is very very rude for no reason, I was just there to visit a friend & he thought we were there for no reason & proceeded to call the Police. I had thought about booking a room there, but because of his terrible attitude I will definitely not book there ever!!

These people just literally robbed me of $675. They made no mention of their ridiculous $200 deposit. These people are completely heartless. We have no other money to stay anywhere. Beyond that this property is an absolute slum!! Very nasty place even for a cheap hotel. I am definitely suing!If you are smart, you will AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

This building is not a functional hotel but someone is using it as a front to scam money from people.

I brought myself, my son and my hubby here for an over night stay to visit family. I drove from Atlanta so we were super tired. I was very happy with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Everyone was so nice and it smelled so good. I will be coming back. 5 stars!!!!!!!!! And the man and lady at the front counter were super nice

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is really gross. The hallway stank of ciggarette smoke. The floor inside my room was sticky around the bed. One lamp was broken. Another did not have a bulb. The bottom of my door looked like an animal had chewed at it and there was a big gap. There was a giant clump of hair on the shower wall. The complimentary shampoo bottle didn’t have a seal and was half empty- I can only assume it had already been used. The Wi-Fi did not work. Sleeping in your car is a better option!

If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t understand why Priceline would show me this listing. The entire motel is unlivable. It is not well maintained and its visible in the broken nightstands, broken picture frames(with glass shards still uncleaned), unclean towels, and barely cleaned bathrooms. Even the front desk doesn’t even look like a front desk because of the plastic sheet covering it. I checked in within a minute and checked out the next. Absolutely awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

Hotel rather motel was nothing like the advertised on Expedia this place was awful from the front to the back where our room was. 1st off the front desk person told us he was going to give us a nice room which was a lie. The room smelled like mold when we where walking to are room bathroom tub had a nasty ring around it bathroom floor was absolutely dirty we had no amenities in our room things where broken in the room pillow looked as if their where hand made a big dirt spot on the floor we didn’t have enough towels the front desk person barely wanted to give us any. Like I can really keep going with this place but look at the comments before mines

There was a big roach just chilling on the ceiling above the toilet, there was a dead roach on the floor in front of the tv stand, the towels looked like tgey havent been properly washed and or dried, and they left a Doritos bag under the nighr stand and soap in the tub, and there was noniron but an ironing board, other than that, i wuld have 2 say that the oyo hotel is a good place 2 stay. Not the best but certainly better than most.

Id give it less stars if I could. I booked a smoking room but when I checked in I was told they didnt have any available. The room I got was obviously a smoking room and smelled so bad. The night clerk was rude. Dont go!! Really not worth the possible $45- $60 price. Very outdated and getting in bad shape physically. The layout of the hotel is unnecessarily confusing and the night clerk did not help in any way as to where to park to be closer to my room. I told him it was my first time at a oyo. I would advise for a quick layover the Royal inn thats located at the same exit.

Alex and Marie was very nice and helpful. Place is clean. Friendly place. Stayed a week so far. I travel from out of state. They make sure I get a room and help me if I need help carry anything in. I am a disabled veteran and they go beyond their duty to help me. Great place to come to and stay at. I feel others are upset. Cause they dont get their way I understand front desk cannot get you the extra towels you need cause where they are left are locked up so no one can go into it. I believe everyone should get a second chance. If they are under new management give them a chance to prove themselves to everyone. Dont bad month them so fast . Everytime I come this place is clean. People smoke and they do clean it up after them. Smoke smell does lungers down the hall from other smoking rooms. Towel under door is to keep the room extra cold or extra hot.. I will come back and will recommend other people to come here. Thank you for being such a friendly, nice kind place to stay...

Roaches, nasty, the property is depreciated definitely needs serious renovations. Manager was rude and definitely haggling consumers. I’ve stayed at the marriot, Hilton, red roof, and never received the type of treatment I was greeted with at the desk. Total waste of money could not sleep at all I was so stressed. Pool what pool nasty empty and false advertising. Booked for the pool and that was a lie.

This is the hotel to beat. From the dirty reception all the way to your room and when you open your room door it does not disappoint it’s filthier. You will need to wash your feet once you step out the slimy shower and you will get that marvelous sensation of the onset of athletes foot. Don’t bother dodging the hairy floor as it continues straight into the bed. This was an experience that even the hardened travel would cringe at.

This Hotel needs serious work! From the check in to checkout process, staff is limited, furniture old, mildew smells, old filthy carpet that needs to be replaced, stained linen, bed bugs, etc. Its no longer Oyo but apparently under new management with a new name. The pictures are not what it looks like. Someone need to invest properly in order to bring this Hotel up to par

If you are looking for somewhere you can chill and not have to worry about your car, being messed with or any if the above go here! Its in the same parking lot as foodlion, has food all around and delivery! Its a place my husband and I go when we need an affordable place to get away for a weekend! As far as other comments on the facility this hotel was recently bought and is in the process of upgrading! The staff are amazing and we have had the best experience here! We will see you guys soon!!!!

Only giving 1 because I cant give a zero.Dirty, weird stains on carpets, greasy handprints all over the headboard, door to the room looked like it had been kicked in once or twice, filthy parking lot.But the sign hanging on the wall that said be nice or leave was a lovely touch.We left. Canceled and left.Im sorry, yall, but that isnt how you run a hotel.

I was told to delete my reservation through Expedia and was then charged by the hotel in cash and again by OYO on my credit card. The man at the desk says they are not affiliated with OYO. They are Maple Leaf. Now I am fighting to get my money back!

The hotel was disgusting!!!It looks like a filthy compact room. The pictures are a fake the hotel looks nothing like them.They have BED BUGS and roaches !!!!!. The bathroom looks like you can catch a disease in there. I’ve seen public bathrooms in better condition. When I ran out the room to the front desk to ask for my refund The guy was very disrespectful and gave me my money then kicked me out for telling him about the conditions of the room. That hotel should be condemned. The worse I’ve ever seen!!!!! I will be calling the health department.

Could not understand front desk clerk. $150.deposit, broken tv, no working plug in bathroom, hairdryer fell to pieces when I picked it up. My room was damp and stale smelling, cigarette ashes on the floor from previous guests. 3 pillows for a king bed and the blanket to keep us warm felt like it was meant for a curtain. I wont even go into the conditions of the pool or grounds area around us considering it was summer time weather. Needs to be bull dozed to the ground.

The trash can outside was full and there was alot of trash all around it. The bed sheet had dried up blood stains on it. The hallway smelled like smoke, in a non-smoking hotel. People walking down the halls fighting in the middle of the night. The staff is very unprofessional. They allow people to loiter in the lobby, trying to bum of their guest.

This is not the Oyo Hotel. Upon arriving we discovered it is the maple hotel. The entire place stinks of cigarettes. There is hair on all the bedding and shower. Trim around floor completely coming off. Bathroom counter covered in dirt. The grosses room Ive ever stayed in. Do not waste your time or money.

Since oyo took over what use to be red roof inn i had booked a room there online then when i arrived clerk told me i had to give a deposit all the years ive been coming to this building when it was red roof inn i never had to do that i paid it walked in room and immediately walked to the room and immediately walked back dead big roach dead on the floor some type of brown stain on side of toilet tube not looking clean and so much more wrong i requested a full refund its very hard to get your money back . Guy at the counter was not professional do yourself a favor fo else where . Oh by the way they tried to only refund me $35.12 from my $250 i paid them i had to get my card company to step in otherwise. This was back in march 2021 .

So far have yet to receive refund been two days and alot of back and forth communication but keep being declined refund. Paid booking but no deposit ...no deposit was even mentioned at booking and when I went to check in I was told 100$ when I looked at card machine it said 150$ I then asked if I could be provided with anything stating I would receive it back once I checked out and was told no . I declined to stay there and immediately tried to get refund for the booking of room I even received an email stating I would get refund and never received it and when I go online to book a room so I could view polociea now it says if you cancel that day then I would receive refund but next day it would not be applicable but since I cancelled same night and never stayed Im deserve a refund that I was already emailed that I would get. If they dont refund my money I will expose this hotel for what it is

Worse stay ever. We arrived at midnight the room we stayed in had a heater but it didnt work and it sounded like a vw bug trying to do 60 on the interstate. So the next morning we requested a new room. It smelled like weed and some of the rooms had sheets pushed under the doors. Also found cockroaches in the next room. The lady at the front desk made the comment when she was trying to find us another room that she didnt want to put us on the the next floor because that area those people come in all hours of the night and they dont sleep. We checked out but we were told we werent getting a refund. It was dirty and when we were out of our room someone had gone through our bags while we were away.

The hotel was run down. All of the outside doors were supposed to be locked and only accessible by a room key, but those doors were never locked. The only good thing I could say is that there were no bugs.

Was sent to a room that was already occupied, that guest said the same thing happened to her. Second room sent to hasnt even had the toilet flushed much less cleaned. Third room was fine but it was midnight after a 10 hour drive. Inexpensive rooms but Ill go for the extra $10 from now on. This is part of the OYO chain now.

Horrible Staff- Extremely unprofessional. Trled to rip me off with the security deposit-- Morning Manager extremely rude.The whole place smelt like cigarettes. Then they try to say the reason why they demand a security deposit is because you have smokers in the hotel.

It turns out this location in Burlington is for a hotel called The Maple Hotel. OYO Hotels rents out rooms from The Maple hotel (or so I understand). We booked a room online at the OYO Hotel. When we got to the location, the big hotel sign said The Maple Hotel (OYO Hotel sign was nowhere to be found) and these two paper signs were posted on the front doors (see pictures). The receptionist informed us that The Maple Hotel had already informed OYO hotels of the power outage on the side of the building The OYO Hotel rents out, however, the OYO Hotels kept advertising rooms available at this Burlington location on their online outlets. The receptionist was able to give us the last room available on the side of the Maple Hotel.The fact that OYO Hotels were still advertising rooms available at this location that night is unacceptable. There were no other hotel rooms available anywhere else in a 40 mile radius that night, so showing “availability” at this location that night, felt like a trap for many people. We were lucky to have the last room under The Maple Hotel, but I know other people weren’t as lucky.

BEWARE!! This hotel was once a Red Roof Inn which consistently received horrible reviews and statements that it was not secure, delapidated, had bed bugs and mice, and was a general awful experience with management. The hotel is still under the same management with just a new name! BEWARE...the low cost is not worth your life, health, and safety! This place needs to be reported to Health authorities, and local business licensing as I am certain they are breaking rules! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The Indian guy is rude inconsiderate lil prick / no fridge / no trash can: requires a $20 deposit per night so they renamed it the maple view smh has potential but is terrible

The room just smelled really bad. Then there’s a hefty security deposit and my sink wouldn’t drain. They’re lucky they’re getting 2 stars. This place is dank and not in a good way!

Great room for a great price. I pull campers for work and there’s always available parking depart my truck and trailer. Alex always make sure that I have the best room available. Will stay here every time I’m in the Burlington area

This is not a good place we cancelled our stay before 9 am the day that we were supposed to stay and they told me they would give me my money back in 7 to 10 days and they have not done so. I called them today to find out what is going on and they said I cancelled after 9am the day we were supposed to stay and they will not be able to give my money back. I am calling the bank and a lawyer

I arrived to the hotel for my stay. The location was in the back of an ally, there was a huge party with loud music and the lobby smelled like smoke. I left, this hotel did not look like anywhere I would feel comfortable to stay.

This place is DANGEROUS. They ask you to pay in cash. The place is FILTHY beyond what you can even imagine. My room had blood smeared on the walls and they would not refund my money. It is unbelievable that this place is allowed to remain open. VERY dangerous parking lot and everything is in disrepair. STAY AWAY.

Not the cleanest of rooms. Use too be half decent place to stay until new ownership. A few years back. Name change and the stay experienced changed. Not for the better. A prime example of ownership taking a profit and putting nothing into the business

Front desk has tried to over charge me multiple times, tonight i made reservations, went to check in he tried over charging me, i asked to see what he was seeing on his computer he refused, i confronted him with the actual price which i had on my phone, then he stated he didn’t accept change ( also a lie nobody else said that ) he’s the only person i’ve ever had problems with, then he threatened me with the police after i stated i wanted to speak with corporate! PITIFUL!!! don’t stay here!

The covers had burn holes on it, the ice machine is broken, the bathroom door doesn’t have a lock there’s holes in the walls, one of the lamps don’t work the room door you have to close it a certain way or someone can easily get in if they push the door and the Wi-Fi doesn’t even work…. Wouldn’t recommend staying here!!!

Online I was told it would be 56$ but it was 100$ when I got there. The rooms I was given both had problems with the lock on the inside on the door knob and the place is already super super sketchy. The whole lobby until you got into your room was just cigarettes. I would never come again nor take my family here ever.

We reserved room my husband and me checked in said he waived deposit so went to room and the room smelled of cigarettes and there was something on blanket so my husband and I went back to tell him he said would give us another room but had to check it out before 10 minutes or basically we were stuck with second room this room this smelled more of cigarettes TV was not working no batteries in remote so went back he proceeded to give us attitude and was very rude about the whole situation so we got money back after he threatened to call cops because we were telling him this is not how you conduct business so we left... there were people outside in parking lot hanging out doing god knows what it was a very very poor place I definitely would not recommend

Sheets had tears and blue spots on them. Towels were dingy white and only one/person. No floor matt for getting out of the shower. No TV or internet the night we were there. Just a all around unpleasant expereince.

Room showed for 37 bucks. Motel is being remodeled? Deposit for 37 dollar room is well over 100 bucks. Who are they kidding? Not to mention its in the hood.

This was by far the worst room i ever stayed at, front desk was horrible. Only one towel and wash cloth per person. There is no number to call the hotel that I could find.So much more. Horrible

Okay for a last minute motel. checked in at 3am. Toilet seat was broken and found female hair on the sheet. The whole floor smelled weed. Front desk guy was very friendly.

Did not change sheets or cover on one of the bed and made the bed up and the house keeper left dirty sheets and cover on the bed we check out of a room there and checked back in I was put in the same room

Shower handle did not work. Had to shower with cold water :( Blankets had lots of stains. Tbh I went to bed paranoid thinking they were used and had not been washed. Never again.

I dont care what others say this place is clean the beds are better here then at econo little more pricey but well worth it best hotel in this area if your not from here this is the hotel you need to be for the location it is in this is the best hotel i spoke with alex at the desk and he was polite understanding for how late it was like i said best hotel in burlingtion nc by far keep up the good work guys wish i could give yall more stars

I had a reservation and the front desk attendant says he could not find my reservation. That I needed to call the booking agent to find my reservation. So I did that I had a reservation but then he says that the manager had blocked me and he didn’t know why. This hotel is not worth it.I would not want my dog to stay there.

Nasty nasty place, they definitely do NOT clean between guests hardly at all, hairs all in the bedding and in the bathroom and floors,there was a whole cheeseburger left in the microwave, will not be coming back, especially when we paid 77$ for the one night we did stay

After a long journey we had to haul our luggage up the stairs due to no elevator which was not a huge deal but the stairs were dirty and trash in the stairwells as we made our way down the dirty hallway we get to our room only to find No toilet paper no towels no rags and 1 pillow in a double bed room so I decided to call downstairs but not so my surprise there was no phone as I looked up thinking should I stay or go I saw dust everywhere horrible experience

It was a pleasant stay for the price, my only complaint is the the entrance door lock key doesnt work and it could just be pulled without needing a card key

Terrifying hotel... honestly looks like its moments away from being demolished.... not a place to go on purpose....avoid and dont let the low cost trick you... a broken window in your car will cost more than going to a less shady hotel...

Rats and used syringes in the parking lot not to mention the giant sized potholes. Left within an hour of checking in would not recommend.
