Kendra and Lexi were amazing on my wedding day. They were very precise and took their time on even the smallest details! For brides, we appreciate that! They did updos and makeup for my bridesmaids as well, and were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Carly & Hannah did a scalp facial on me and I think my soul left my body. As a postpartum mom I am 1000% wound up and running off of no sleep. I was able to relax and get away with this service. They made me feel beautiful again and it was incredible to not only feel how effective the scalp facial was but they also showed me! The entire service I was being educated on the process and how to better care for my scalp for healthier hair! I loved my experience here and I can’t wait to go back!!

Kendra did a fantastic job cutting and layering my thick hair! I felt like I was able to trust her judgement with my style. Such a relaxing, enjoyable time.My sister in law was in town and the salon was also able to give her a wash and cut late notice!Great overall experience!

The before and after of my scalp health was mind blowing.

All of the past stylists I’ve gone to have always kept my hair too long and left me with a very strange haircut. When I walked in, they were so sweet and made sure we had a drink if you wanted one. I did not have an appointment, but I was likely able to be squeezed in. I wanted a haircut that is pacifically more on the boys side and they worked with me and made sure it step-by-step. Everything was to my liking they were so sweet and made sure I understood that certain pieces had to be styled instead of cut. They understood that I didn’t want an overly feminine style, and I am absolutely in love with what they gave me. It is very much like the several photos I used. I had like five photos as references, which were all semi-different than one another, but the stylist looked at it and made it happen, so if you’re looking for a friendly community that is so sweet and so much fun to talk to and the whole atmosphere being so calming and that you can trust a hairstylist to do what you want with your hair and make sure you have the best outcome I definitely highly recommend this place

Amazing experience! I have been looking for somewhere to get a scalp facial for a while to help with my dry scalp. I am so glad I found Emm+Ell. Kendra did a wonderful job my scalp feels so much better. She is very knowledgeable on scalp care and takes pride in her work. I couldn’t recommend this service enough if you are having scalp issues.

I had a scalp facial at Emm+Ell and I cannot recommend it enough! You can tell the thought they’ve put behind every single step of the process. From start to finish, it’s a true luxury experience. Getting to see the difference in my scalp at the start versus the end was incredible; they really did a great job removing every bit of build up I had. Kendra and Stacy were phenomenal answering my question and explaining the full process. At the end, I got one of the best blow outs I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience, I would rate it as more than 5 stars if I could. This experience is such a luxury to have in Burlington; I highly recommend checking it out.

My hair was always one of my best features, it was thick and long with tons of shine and bounce. Then, after Covid I felt like I lost a piece of myself when my hair started falling out in chunks. Once the bald spots came on I felt like my identity as a woman was gone. Now I have that back thanks to Hannah! Just received my first Scalp Facial by Stacy and the depth of CLEAN she got my scalp is unreal. She used the mag camera to show me all the build up I had and after the treatment there was none to be found. Highly recommend this service, for relaxation and scalp maintenance. She explained every step and made the experience amazing!!

It was absolutely magnificent! Kendra was an absolute darling. I received a scalp facial and afterwards, I found what my hair has been missing. You get a full scalp consultation and the experience was wonderfully relaxing. She was great at conversation, attentive, and dint mind massage this big ol head on a bowl ok! Thank you Kendra and I will be rescheduling with you! I didnt take pictures that day of but this is the day after. We heading into week two, and my hair is still soft and bouncy! Their scalp facial is only a couple months to their salon but my gosh its worth it.

If I could give Carlie 10 stars, I would! I went to Emm+Ell for a scalp facial after years of seeing them online, and it did not disappoint. The salon was beautiful, peaceful, and clean. Carlie was thorough and so friendly. I have very curly hair, and usually stylists do not know how to work with it, and that was not the case! If you’re a curly hair girly, go see Carlie! Can’t wait for my next appointment.

What an amazing glamorous experience. Clean and luxurious atmosphere. Super friendly staff that will make you look your best self. I was shocked at how beautiful my hair looked when they were done. 10 out of 10!

I recently moved to Burlington and I was looking for a nice hair salon so this was my first time there, the atmosphere and cleanliness were good they also serve drinks which is nice, unfortunately the service was not what I expected, I’ve been getting Brazilian blow out since 2019, I have super long and thick hair so I want to try the Brazilian blow out express this time, my hair looks frizzy, and not as smooth as I’m used to every I get a Brazilian. I ended paying $200+ with tip for a disappointing blow out. Picture of my hair after service.

Mariah did an amazing job and was super friendly and took the time to have conversations and make it a super personal and comfortable experience. I will definitely be back. I enjoyed everything from the hair wash to the blow out to my lovely curls

I recently had a hair cut, style, and scalp treatment with Gracie. I loved that I could book online. I called a couple other shops in the area first and none of them responded, called back, or answered the phone. Emm and ell do a great job making it easy for customers. The salon is super clean and modern and I loved all the natural light. Gracie was super sweet and did a great job. My hair looks great and the scalp massage and treatment was amazing. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be going back and I’ll ask for Gracie!

We were in town for a cheer competition and my daughter needed Dutch braids. They took her right away and the atmosphere was perfect the moment we walked in the door. Thank you to the staff that took care of us. Wish you were in Myrtle Beach sc

Very lovely place! offered a cold beverage and both of the stylists were very sweet! Mariah was very sweet and a very great conversationalist and did an amazing job on my hair despite it being damaged. its been a very long time since i’ve gotten my hair done professionally but the environment the 2 wonderful ladies provided made me feel extremely comfortable. I wish i could give over 5 stars it was a very lovely establishment and very lovely stylists!

One of the best things to happen to Alamance County! I opted for a membership (because who has time to do their own hair anymore?) and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s the best 1.5 hours of my week. I get to relax, catch up on emails, and get quite literally the best head rub of my life. My blow outs typically last 3-5 days depending on what I’m doing that week. Well worth the investment!

Very well established salon! I used this salon for a blowout, curl and makeup for fall pictures and it was a great experience! Stylists were friendly, easy to work with, and did an amazing job not only on my hair but makeup as well! Will definitely be using their services again!

I always have a delightful experience when I come! All of the stylists are so talented and personable. I even ended up purchasing a monthly membership because it’s that GOOD. Each time I go, it’s truly the highlight of my day and I walk out feeling beautiful and relaxed.

Just what Burlington has been needing a style bar!! I have loved all of my experiences here. The extended wash times and scalp massages are the best. The atmosphere is friendly & calming. My hair always looks great when I leave.
