Security is horrible! Bartenders are the lowest ever! Super musty and humid! There’s no ventilation nor are their doors or windows open! This place sucks! Instead go to Gaslmap in SD! Also so many people get assaulted and beat up and the owner won’t provide video footage or anything! DO NOT GO THERE! It’s ghetto and unprofessional

This bar was really fun. Robert bartender helped us out and took care of us. If youre not in your twenties I would suggest going early it gets pretty crowded.

This place is pretty cool its better on as well. Great place to survive music all week long. Pretty much the only popping spot and Carlsbad after sunset. Definitely go over there and get your Boogie on baby.

Went to the bar with friends and went to the DJ to request creed. His name was DJ Mike and he told me no one wants to hear that music. When I asked him again he waived to the bouncers to get me kicked out. Another person Asked for him to play creed and he got physical with them before getting them kicked out

Only been here a couple times, once before covid. Thrice ‘after’ the fact. On busy nights, very compact for how busy they get, tend to only have 3 bartenders at best with some bar backs which doesn’t seem like enough, given its busy expect to wait about 5 mins for a new drink, if it’s not busy. It’s almost instantaneous. Beyond that, definitely a fun place.

Cool, little dive Karoake Bar in Carlsbad. Hubby and I like to sing Karoake and this is a decent, safe place to do it. Staff is always friendly, patrons are friendly and fun, we have never had any trouble here. Plus we always get the opportunity to sing a few songs! We will definitely be repeat customers back here!

Do NOT recommend…. Security is horrible letting under age people go in… can get people sent to jail for this…the service is horrible too. Asked to speak to manager and Seems like no boss is around ever. So who runs the place?! If I could give 0 stars I would. Should of looked at these other reviews before coming. 1st and LAST Time coming.

Came here on a Tuesday night for Karaoke and it was loads of fun. The DJ was great and fair with his song rotation. There were plenty of people, all of which provided for a fantastic karaoke atmostphere. Didnt see a food menu, but i asked the bartender for a rye and ginger and Im pretty sure I got a rye and gin. Great karaoke bar!

Hot, tightly crowded, slow bartenders, pushy bouncer. I came in with a 20+ person group after a wedding. Got very odd looks from many people. We were not welcomed there. We moved on.

Every time my friends and I go there they never have the fans on. Condensations on the windows due to perspiration from the people being there. We’re still in a pandemic and you would think they’d have some type of ventilation. One of the security guards opened the doors to get some fresh air and another security guard closed it. I told him that a security guard opened it for us cause it was too hot in there and he was very rude saying “I’m a security guard here too” he needs to get fired because obviously he doesn’t care about anyone there or his own job. Rude for no reason. Everyone is sweating from the ridiculous heat inside.

The Alley accommodated us for my friends bachelorette party on a Saturday night. They let us come in when they opened (6pm) and decorate for the party to reserve our location by the dance floor and live band. They also let us keep our cupcakes in the fridge. We arrived at 9pm where everyone from the bouncer to the bartenders made us feel very special since it was the bride-to-bes special night! At the end of the night the bride was hungry and they (the waitress and bouncer) offered to walk next door to pick up a pizza we ordered, HOW kind and seriously above and beyond it was. They went out of their way to make us all feel special and welcomed. The music was awesome, and we liked how they had the live band but then also played dancing music in between too. I would recommend going here to anyone! Thank you for the great service!

Had an amazing time. I have an eye for professional bar tenders and Katy is top tier. Not one drink at the bar was empty, not one person waited longer than 2 minutes on a busy night solo. Wow.

This place can be a lot of fun for karaoke. But it can be hit and miss. From 2017-2019 this was my favorite karaoke spot but since reopening in 2021, its not quite the same yet still worth an occasional visit.

Horrible environment the place is musty and humid. Security arrogant and big headed. Got kicked out 5 seconds in and refused to give back my cover fee.

I was assaulted by the security for no reason and removed forcefully. They are very unprofessional. The oceanside police department was very unprofessional as well although they did say security was out of line as well. If you want men who made poor life choices man handling you. This is the place for you.

Bartender with glasses decided to come out from the bar and tell my sister who had a black man buy her a drink that she shouldnt be be talking to that race and then decided to come at me saying I shouldnt have allowed it. Keep it classy Carlsbad.

If you want a drink from the bar better off goin somewhere else to get one!!! Slow as hell bartenders talk too much.

Great vibe and I enjoyed myself alone with colleagues, but they need better A/C or fans placed in the corner in the club but this is a nice spot.

A security guard aggressively came into the bathroom while I was still using it, then had his croney carry me out via choke hold when I yelled at him. Dont go here unless youre into invasion of privacy and power tripping security.

Security is great, service is wonderful, bartenders are even better, great environment

I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. The bartender literally put her hand in my face and told me to go away after waiting 25 minutes for a drink. Absolutely insane.

Drinks are cheap and the floor is sticky. Music is too loud, the band was horrible, and the sound bounces off the walls. The cigarette smoke wafts in from outside. This is all expected for a dive bar.

The DJ/DJ entourage on 3/5/22 were absolutely horrible - terrible music, and on top of that, rude.The bartender warned us that the DJ wasn’t going to be any good, but man he wasn’t joking!

Karaoke night was fun and the drinks were on point with fast service from the bartenders

Weekends: Way too crowded & SLOW service due to 2 bartenders and 150 customers. Bad managing strategy.

Kinda divey and the security guy was a dick. Clearly disappointed with his life choices and wants to assert is made up authority on anyone in earshot having too much fun.

Katie the bartender is absolutely PHENOMENAL. No empty drinks all night. Very good service!

One of my favorite bars to go to for live music. Have yet to see a band play here that I did not like.
