NC Tavern is my go to spot. Nikki is the sweetest and always greets us with a smile! She makes the best drinks and the food is always good (I think most people go there for the wings).

I had order take out with some friends(two girls) and myself (a man)and when we went to pick up our food a bouncer / security person padded (just) me to retrieve my food? It honestly made super uncomfortable and felt like I didn’t have an option to refuse.Besides that negative experience, I think the food was great! the seafood boil was great! I love the housing seasoning! but to be honest from now on I think that if I am to order again It would be through a food delivery service because I felt like I was treated like a criminal to retrieve my food lol

We went to a comedy show here. The comedy show was fun. The food was great especially at such an affordable price. I definitely will be back to the resturant, even wIf there is no comedy show. I enjoyed my experience here.

Rehire niki i was really looking forward to seeing her last night she’s the best bartender there. She brings positive energy, good service and she’s really nice. I think it’s best y’all should hire her back because i’m looking forward to seeing her when i come again🙂

We were in a hotel nearby due to a delayed flight until next day. Not much was open but the menu looked good and they had different options. The food was amazing. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and my friend had a seafood broil bag. The drinks were good and music was awesome.

I went for the first time on a Date night with my wife and We Loved it. Great music, Great food and Perfect atmosphere.. We will be back very soon.

A friend and I were looking for late night food and stumbled on this place. The music was extremely too loud and we left with our ears ringing. It wasn’t as loud when we got there but it was apparent the dj turned it up. It took forever to get a server and it was not to their servers fault. It looked like they had one woman serving one side of the restaurant. We thought about placing a to go order i stead and noticed the prices were higher than what was listed on the menu. I got wings and they were just ok. After me and some other patrons saw a large cockroach on the dining room floor!

I came on a work trip from Atlanta and the place was great the side room was the dance area and it was nice. But our waitress was rushy and kinda rude but I guess that was because it was a little busy. Overall great place

Don’t work here, gives very much ghetto and unorganized. Manager is inconsistent and incompetent of making his own decisions. If anything the bartenders run the show and be carful if they feel you’ll take their customers, they’ll try their best to get you off the schedule. Waste of time.

Dont waste your time or money. First off they serve you in bowls youd get from a food truck!!! No matter what you get salad wings whatever its coming in that bowl. When I come to a restaurant bare minimum I expect to be served on a plate!!! I ordered a turkey club which came out as a grilled cheese with pink turkey!! Once I addressed the concern of the color with the waitress she then proceeds TO BRING OUT A PACKET OF SLICED WALMART BRAND SMOKED TURKEY LITERALLY FROM THE KITCHEN 🤢🤢 the sandwich mind you was $15 roughly and you mean to tell me yall charing that price for a $4 family size packet of meat. Next time Ill just go to Jasons Deli because they would never(use that cheap meat)!!!!

Im always there for the happy hour if I can make it. Great cost for food and drinks. Weekend, they have a DJ, and the music be good.

Ok... I got the VIP room for my Birthday which seats 21 people. The whole time the Manager Mr Jones and waitress Jayla treated us like stars. I had know disappointment at all, plus I will do it again. Thanks to the whole entire team for making my Birthday Excellent including DJ 🩷

Went there for a beer on the way home, The place is set up for alot of people. Pool tables, DJ on Friday night. Great outdoor patio with plenty of seating and TV everywhere Good sound system. Good place to go for a evening of drinks and Hanging out with friends. I would say it kinda a clean place could use some up keep. Plenty of parking and bar stools to sit at the bar Check them out Tell them Brian Sent ya!!

Cool spot we attended for a monthly comedy show. Great Friday Night Happy Hour Specials, cool vibes and staff on point and attentive.

I usually love NC Tavern, good food, and usually good vibes but the staff can be sooo nonchalant and rude. Jas the bartender is great! but when the rude short bar-back with the natural hair threw my entire meal away, she nor the manager could give a F. Yet it was already paid for. They simply could care LESS about the customer experience. Worst night there ever!

Always a vibe!! The wings are good!! The jukebox is clutch. The bartenders arent light hand with the drinks. The company is always good too. Good place for a quick bite and a chat with a new friend. Pool tables in back . Patio large with tvs and speakers

First timer experience: Went on a Monday night to watch the MNF game, place was not crowded at all which I LOVED, had plenty of TVs to watch the game at the bar, in the booths, as well as the outside patio. Bonus points for the womens bathroom being clean and smelling amazing!! Vibe and atmosphere was perfect. Now to get to the reason I left 3 stars....our bartender Jasmine was excellent somewhat...when she was at our booth she was very attentive, outgoing and a great server, however, we had to wait quite awhile after ordering drinks and could literally see her and the bartender and others talking while not serving customers...not cool. We had to grab the Asian lady and guy a few times just to get things we ordered and when we wanted to order more drinks, etc..but okay no biggie. The biggest caveat I had was when I got home and seen that I received only HALF a cup of the queso I ordered with my fries and Chicken Philly to-go. Literally the cup was only filled half way, I probably shouldve checked my food before I left yeah I know blah, blah, blah, but should I HAVE to do that? It bothers me when I dont get what I pay for, and they definitely seemed like they were rushing us out and uninterested in further serving us just by their energy, Ill definitely frequent this spot again, next time Ill just make sure I watch a little more carefully that Im getting what I paid for!

The food at North Carolina tavern is pre frozen. Microwame, some you can go to Food Lion or the grocery store. Go buy in the freezer supply and putting a microwave and serve it for a snack. I will never go back there for food. The drinks was on point, but food. No, no atmosphere, it was okay and. Now that I read about it found that there was some things going on.There some things that happen.I dont think Ill go back agaill figure out what I can thats just my opinion only Allegedly some things have happened.Let me make that clear

Its a dive bar with relaxed vibes and decent late-night service. Parking was tight and limited. Main stream hip hop music on Sunday nights. The lemon pepper wings were AMAZING and the fries were okay. The menu features daily drink specials, most under $10 for cocktails and under $6 for beer.

This is my new spot when I come to town! My waitress was awesome. She catered to my group. The food was good. We had seafood bags, oysters egg rolls, and cheesecake. The seafood was seasoned to your liking. The drinks were just right! Love it here!

I come usually when Morgan is working the bar. Nikki was the bartender this past Sunday and had an attitude like none other. When speaking to the manager she said people have been irritating Nikki all day. I guess thats a reason to have an attitude with paying customers. Wont be back as long as Nikki is the bartender.

Its a nice spot to hang out and chill, decent drinks food is good, closes at 2am so if youre in the area not a bad place to go.

Came in tonight and was served by Nikki. Service was good and so were the drinks. I would recommend coming here.

The music and many TVs for the game finals was on and speaker in the bathroom so you wont miss the score a great bartender name think was Deja was great they even had a Sunday special on 10 shrimp for $6 drink special was $8 and beer special was $5 each day of the week the have specials and real good bar food seafood to sandwiches u have options here and really tasty it was a big crowd but lots of things to do pool tables and dance floor and even patios with tv and speaker too plenty of tables and chairs out on patio too great place if u want to vibe out casual club type feel.

Gave this place a chance as a spot to watch the NFL games this past weekend. The food and game watching experience was on point. Miss Q was awesome behind the bar. She couldve used a little help at times in my opinion. There was a lot of work for one person. I loved that they had a special on their wings at the time, but felt they missed the mark on pricing for 12 ounce bottles of PBR. No reason at all they should be $5 in my opinion. I understand mark-up and the need to make a profit, but I cant and wont pay $5 for a PBR.

NC Tavern is a little sport bar/hole in the wall. R&B and Rap blast through the speakers when a sports game isnt on. Inside, it seems a bit dated, but that doesnt take away from the service and/or quality of some of the bar food you can find on the menu. The pricing is reasonable, and if you come at a decent hour or day; there are specials. Personally, I wasnt a fan of the crab legs due to them being overcooked, but the flavor was there! All and all, if you are looking to get out, watch a game or two and a good drink with bar food and dont want to travel to SouthEnd or Uptown; this is the place for you!

I love it here. Great food, great drinks. The bartenders Tee, Deja and Jazz are each a whole vibe. They have the best personalities and know how to take care of their customers.Speaking of customers, everyone is friendly and there to have a great time.Every Friday and Saturday night, the DJ always delivers. Mario never disappoints. I HIGHLY recommend this spot! 10 out of 10 stars 🌟!!!

A neighbor of mines told me about this place. It is HORRIBLE! Sat a table for 15 minutes and was not even acknowledged……that’s Chatlotte for you though.I’m very big on supporting businesses, but sadly people here don’t want to provide good service. I have no desire or interest in returning . People in this city would rather people chase them instead of earning money. No sweat off my back. What I spend will certainly be accepted elsewhere.Don’t waste your time!

The security at this bar beyond hood …. I don’t know if the owner is aware but they need to make changes you don’t walk up and try and fight your customers due to your on personal issues and then grab more security and try and jump a customer when you’re at work you should conduct yourself as such ….. don’t go find another bar if you value your life !!!!

I basically wasted money it was not busy when I went and also sat at the bar for about 10-15 mins . Which I wouldn’t have mind but I was sitting there and while waiting. a man came and sat and got immediate service, So I felt like the bartender was more concerned about male clients. I ordered the smoked turkey wrap which was not good, and did not have all the ingredients that were on the menu . When I asked to have it exchanged for something else that was the equivalent price , I was told that because I waited so long I was unable to, and I had to pay for what I had, which was disgusting. I will not be returning or referring anyone to go here unless you want to waste your money and your time.

Excellent food, the calamari was amazing. Seafood platter and wings were delicious too. We will be back for the food. The waitstaff may can use some more training and customer service skills. They stated they had a huge party in the back and our server was finishing up the party. However, the food was delivered quickly and HOT once the ordered was placed. Overall we enjoyed the food, the place was clean, great atmosphere with music, sports on TVs everywhere (great set up) ... this would be a perfect place to watch sports or for an adult birthday party. Only thing the parking lot is small so you may have park across the street i. The shopping center, which not far - just be prepared if the place is busy.

Grabbed a table for a late dinner. Food and service was good. Ive had their Seafood bag and Brunette sandwich before and both dishes were delicious. Last visit, I just had wings and a drink. Good spot to chill and relax. The crowd was mature and calm.

We went on Saturday night we ordered the Seafood Bucket and Chicken Philly with a side of steamed shrimp our drinks were Bahama Mamas and it was ALL AMAZING!!! Our Server was great and attentive. The cooks had our food done in less then 15min I would all around recommend this place if your in Charlotte.

I arrived in town from NY late visiting family for the New Year Weekend. We were skeptical about stopping for a late night bite to eat and drink but were glad we did. They were checking Ids at the door and scanning everyone. We immediately thought what type of place is this. We decided to give it a try as not many places were open and we were hungry from NY traveling. We were seated, it was pretty busy considering it was a Thursday late night. The hostess told us someone would be with us. After a few short minutes a waitress passed by and paused to ask if anyone was assisting us. We stated no and she said Ill be right back. She did in fact come back. She took our order and brought out our food in a reasonable amount of time. Now, I want to add I was surprised by all this because practically ALL the staff were very YOUNG staff member. They were so polite and handled the busyness professionally and the prices were fair. I would definitely visit here again!☺️

Wanted to go eat but they were having some type of private event on the other side and a gentleman at the door told us we had to pay to go in. We informed him we just wanted to eat on the other side. He told us a donation was required for either side for us to enter. We left not paying to eat . Im sure the owner did not know he was losing business because another party left too.

I placed an online order because the restaurants actual website (not a 3rd party site) said that they offer curbside pickup which is one of the main reasons I placed my online order. Then I got to the restaurant and called to let them know I had arrived and the guy that answered the food said that I had to come inside because they dont offer curbside pickup. I told him that their website said they did which was why I placed the order and he said no, its ready but you have to come inside and get it because we dont offer curbside. When I went inside to get my order (because it was already paid for) it was even clearly labeled on my order ticket that I requested curbside pickup and even had my car information there. They received my order, saw this, and never even bothered to call to let me know they didnt offer curbside. This is an issue. Do they think people would click that button if they didnt want curbside? I would not have placed an order if I had known they didnt offer curbside. Needless to say, I will not be placing any more orders with this restaurant. The lie that they offer curbside pickup is very misleading and deceptive. What else is a lie and it makes me leery about the food and service.

Me and my party of 3 arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday and as ppl know it’s self seated we sat in the back with the Poole tables and was not served we sat there for 30 mins with not even a menu. We ended up moving to the main area after being rudely addressed by some of the staff for asking for service. NIKKI came from the hostess station and was our waitress for the night. She turned our night around and gave me and my party a better service and night. Thank you NIKKI!

Food and drinks are mediocre. Service is extremely slow and they automatically apply a tip without telling you so she was tipped doubled (rip off). Atmosphere just okay with very hard parking. I will not be returning. One and done.

I most definitely enjoyed my visit to NC Tavern. I visit there to watch my team The New York Giants. They have crystal clear TVs surrounding the eating area, including the bar. The speakers were loud and thats how I love to watch my games. I ordered mozzarella sticks, chicken wings and a diet coke. The mozzarella sticks, not so great 😐 but their chicken wings were awesome 😉. I also love the fact that its family friendly, next time Ill bring my boys. I saw a pool table but I didnt see anyone on the table so Im unsure if they have that area open. The waitress who served me provided great customer service. Ive noticed that the other waitresses had that same great personality. Ive also noticed a group of people, 3 or more that came in and ordered seafood. So when I make my next visit, I have to see whats all the hype about with their seafood and how it taste. The parking lot is small and I also like the fact that theres an outside eating area. I have to check that out too. The only downfall, I love music. I think the outside area should have some music playing, not necessarily a DJ but a good surround system.

Nice waitress. Food was good. We got the bucket. Split it between two of us. Was plenty for each. Fries were good and a good size portion. Crab legs, potatoes, sausage, and corn on the cob. We liked it and enjoyed the meal.

The food quality was average considering the fried fish and oysters aren’t fresh as they come breaded and frozen and for a party of 6-3 adults and 3 small children the gratuity was 18%. The food quality does not match the prices. Definitely won’t be back. Poor quality but nice service. Service was great!!!!

Previously I enjoyed my experience here however last night was horrible. The food tasted as if it was all fried in fish batter and old grease (I ordered wings) . The long island ice tea was so light in color it was transparent and had a very unfamiliar taste. The barmaid was unbothered by my complaint and did not attempt to correct anything

Nc Tavern is a nice local juke joint to grab a quick bite of bar food. The wings, fries and drinks were good. Service could stand Improvement.*update* should better manager food handling and OSHA related operations. After having a birds-eye view into the kitchen on my last visit I was not pleased.

I was told about this place awhile back so I decided to check them out. The place is not that big so no you will not get a 5 page menu but for what is on the menu - they do very well. Inside is set up to accommodate a lot of people and at times it can get crowded. It is a lively, festive place and an excellent choice to make. I will be returning.

Watch your tab Morgan the bar tender works with her friends and try and put there tab on yours best believe my tab was 29.77 tried to charge me 85.06 didnt work I was on it. 1:50 said I would buy everybody at bar a drink they said last call was 5 min ago. Stop the bull I had one drink and a beer and wings.Update the manager made sure my tab was right no problem and I appreciate that still very bad business on her part and I would be a fool to continue to go back, though there are other and better bartenders than her.

We did takeout and ate their food for the first time. Im kind of torn with this review. I ordered the shrimp wrap with no cheese and tomatoes and it was really good. The shrimp had great flavor! My husband ordered the Fried plate with fish and shrimp. He was not impressed with the portion. It could have been a lot better. I was thinking the shrimp would be regular size not popcorn. They also charge an extra $1 for Cesar salad side for my shrimp wrap even though that wasnt posted on Door Dash. Overall, theyre pretty good, wouldnt go out the way to eat there but if Im close and they stay open late they could be an option.

First time going with friends after a concert. The vibe was Amazing..The Dj played the hottest music. The waitresses were fantadtic..helpful and a whole vibe

Had a really good time with the DJs music but please dont look for service after hour.. I think the man who runs the place asked two hours after we been there did we need menus.. No thanks we ordered from the bar and the food came out cold.. On the good note they was jamming!!

The waiter was awesome. She was working so hardworking and even though there were 2 names on the board Bree was doing everything on her own with grace! The food was good as usual and prices were very reasonable. I reccomend thus place all the time.

Checking up on a delayed doordash order. Nobody at the location had any idea of any doordash order status. Lady on the phone was extremely rude and did not care. Customer service was non-existent to awful. Will never order from them again.

Visiting my daughter in Charlotte, we came across this place. Our server was on point, the drinks werent watered down and the food was good. Great atmosphere, you definitely tell this is a local go to. Will be back on another visit. My Daughter will be coming here. Thanks for a the excellent service!

The restaurant was pretty pricey. The food did not have any taste. Our party had several seafood boils with the crab legs and we were charged .50 EACH FOR A SMALL CUP OF BUTTER. The chicken wings were tasteless and the shrimp served were popcorn shrimp. I will not return to NC TAVERN. Dont recommend. PS our waitress was GREAT!!

Too bad cant do review straight to owners. this restaurant is not very busy w no energy, workers slow to see what you wanted. Not the seafood bar you want to go to have a good time. ordered to go, salad and beef nachos, and beer while waiting..it was ok..,

1 star, only because I couldnt give 0. Poor customer service, staff was rude. Ordered a small order (5 wings & 10 shrimp) at 10:22, didnt receive the food until 11:09 & then they had the nerve to catch an attitude after we made it known that wed been patiently waiting for so long. Food is good, but not good enough to be overshadowed by the poor customer service. Needless to say, will not be returning.

My family and I came here after a dance performance at UNCC. Great food and Shan our server was very pleasant. We enjoyed it. Great place to dine.

Grilled shrimp were gummy????? Grilled shrimp. I wiped the seasoning off but threw half away. Lemon peppered wings tasted like I was eating salt right out of container. The teriyaki wings were great. It will be awhile before I go back. They should have credited my whole order for good customer service. CHEF had a bad night👹

Do not visit this place!!! I went there with my boyfriend and he ordered chicken wings and fries. After waiting for 30 minutes and seeing other customers who came after us receive their food, we inquired about his order. The waitress kept passing us saying she would stop by our table and never did. Finally we flagged down a so called manager after 40 minutes and she said “let me find the waitress” and never returned. We flagged down another person apart of management and inquired about the order. That manager literally said nothing and walked away!!! Finally After an hour of waiting, I approached another so called manager. She tracked down the waitress who stated she just put the order in 10 minutes ago. It had been an hour at this point. I asked the manager to come to the table and stated I should not be paying for the order after waiting over an hour. She told us we could either wait and pay for the order or leave. So we left. Management had no empathy or remorse. Customer service was terrible, waitresses were twerking and goofing off the whole time. I will NEVER go back to Nc Tavern.

I have only tried sandwiches thus far, but they have all been great. Service is definitely mediocre and management is even worse, but its definitely a nice bar to watch sports and hang out with friends.

Great drink prices on weekdays. The weekend can be a little busy and staff may take longer to serve you, but the food is worth it! Try the lemon pepper wings. Pool tables a bonus with this place!

They only have pink lemonade. Long island is a premix. Food is ok. And it was kind of hot in the place. On my second visit I tried a strawberry long island and it was unbearably sweet, tasted like strawberry syrup.

Best Local vibe in Charlotte. Everything here tastes great and the service for food is especially fast. Become a regular and watch how they show you great favor! Custom drinks made to order and servers are always willing to give a great convo! Go to the bar and get your drinks with Jasmine! Sit down in a booth and Jasmine will take care of you also!

This is a Great Place, Food is excellent. Better than expected. I stopped in for Dinner working the night shift. I was not expecting the level of Quality and Fresh Made Items. Price is good too.

Nothing special. They have Touch Tunes, so I like that. The price for a house vodka drink was $6.50. Thats too high most anywhere you go. Its $5 just down the street. Food menu is just fried stuff.

Never been her before, My fiance decided to bring me here due to me craving seafood....We had the most professional service from the beginning to the end. Service and Food both OUTSTANDING!! I will definitely return:) :)

This is actually an improvement from my initial review several years ago.The food is good and the views are nice. The server brought us our tabs and it wasnt organized. The drinks are watered down and over priced comoared to other franchises.I know the serving industry is short. My sinceret blessings that they continue to improve.

Best Wings and Grilled Shrimp in Charlotte. I work uptown and trust me I have eaten at the most high end restaurants around and none of thier seafood had the flavor of NC Tavern. For a sports bar the service is good and the waiters/bar tenders are nice. Not as attentive as Ruths Chris but fairly good.

This place is wayyyy over priced. My husband and I spent $70 on 2 drinks a piece. This glass was approximately 8-10 oz but of course you dont get that much because of the ice. They also added gratuity to our tab. That totaled to be an additional 10 dollars. Then after paying they also want you to add a tip as well. We didnt even order any food just those 2 drinks. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because customer service was good but probably will never come back.

Ordered their boil on door dash to try it out. And the regret came... I had mild food poisoning. That was the only meal I had that day. After that experience, I personally wont try it again. One and done for me.

As I sit in the booth, I have no choice but to leave a review for this establishment. Honestly, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had to date. The hospitality and service is nonexistent, the seafood bucket was a joke: overcooked and seasoned. I would not return.

Food was ok not good. Prices a little high for the service and food quality.... No sign saying seat yourself or wait to be seated..so stood there over 5 min while being stared at....

I was there Saturday night the wait for us to be seated and to place I order wasn’t long at all food was hot and fresh my first time eating from there and I fell in love with the mild and Cajun wings 😊 I ordered a crab boil also it was a little watery but everything was still hot and fresh but overall I’ll still give a 5 ⭐️s

I had the honey bbq wings and the chipotle burger and besides the purple onions everything was AWESOME even the cheesecake was great definitely going back once Im in Charlotte again

Uh....Not my type of place, bar food and seafood. Everyone was professional and courteous. I would give more stars, but I did not try the food. 4 stars for presentation.

No matter how many NEW Google pages this resturant makes they will still have the same bad service. ITS BEEN WELL OVER 6 MONTHS SINCE I THE LAST TIME I WENT AND EVEN TEYING TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE THEY STILL ARE NOT WORTH IT! The owner just doesnt not want to own up that his disrespect to customer and his staff and the staff is disrespect and ignore customer unless they are their favorite.

Seafood was good but I felt it was ridiculous that half my order was left out the bag. Went back to get it and I still didnt get all my food. Do better please

I normally don’t do reviews but this place I will never eat at again I ordered from them off of DoorDash, on April 28th. I don’t know if the food was spoiled or not cooked right but I got food poisoning from it. I’ve been stuck in bed for 5 days in pain🤦🏽‍♀️

Food is delish. Service and prices are great! Been going there for years and I find the best time to go is shortly after opening.

NC Tavern has been amazing, the wings are friggin bomb and i love the burgers! customer service A1!! The new manager has been amazing too

Nice Atmosphere. Get there Early of a Good Seat. Its a Sports bar Setting with a Lot of TVS. Food was Very Good.

Theyre one of few places nearby that serve food after 12am. The food is costly and so are the drinks. The customer service isnt the forefront. Parking is scarce on premise, not sure if youll get towed for parking outside the lot.

The chicken Philly was not good. But everything else that we ordered was great. Decent place
