Ive been to The Evening Muse many times. I absolutely love this venue. The people who run this place are amazingly kind. That is why this place is one of my favorite indoor venues to see a band. I love the acoustics. Ive seen them host many different types of acts and they do a great job with every act Ive seen. Whether you are going to a show or you are looking for a venue, The Evening Muse is the place for you.
The location, music and venue itself is great. The problem with this place since I can remember is they harvest a culture of being too exclusive. It has a vibe that doesn’t match the live music feeling you want. They are excellent at turning people away and not making you feel welcome. Went to a show last night and as people crowded to get in the majority walked away after talking with the doorman.Charlotte needs live music so bad and it’s a shame that a place that’s been around for so long just doesn’t get it.Overall the ownership just doesn’t get it.
Weve been to the Muse many times, looked forward to Lilly Hiatt. Walked in and all the damn chairs are against the wall. The front door dude set us up two chairs in the back, which were stolen before we got to them. Somebody had BO so damn bad I wanted to puke. The band was louder than normal. The bathroom was immaculate. We didnt feel like staring at peoples ugly butts all night, so we left without hearing Lilly. Another pos Charlotte music experience. oh we got the last parking spot in all of noda for $15.
First time there but always wanted to go....very impressed for a venue of that size hosting a Grammy winning artist and pulling it off like it was a private party and I made the guest list!Parking in the deck across the street gave us ample access to all of NODA night life.Great new restaurants near the muse too compliment a solid night out and the light rail station a short walking distance from the door is another plus for folks stopping in for the scene as well.I wanna say how nice the local IPA menu in the Muse was.... also a pleasant plus to make a good night out memorable.
This place was AWESOME. Ive been to a TON of concerts, many of which were very chaotic and hard to navigate, especially for someone who has anxiety (me). But this place was very well handled and easy to figure out and get around. The band I saw was Wild Party and it was one of the best concert experiences Ive ever had. The band is great, music-wise and just very friendly. So we got to take pictures and such. But I also got to be right up front for the first time in my life. Im very small but I didnt get squished!! Even from the back of the venue you can still see, to some degree. It was amazing. Thank you, The Evening Muse. ♥️
We had a private event at The Evening Muse last Saturday and the Staff did a fantastic job! The service at the bar was excellent & the sound for the concert was perfect. All the preparations leading up to the event were handled professionally. I highly recommend The Evening Muse for a private event! (& of course for public music events-it’s the best venue anywhere!)
Honestly this place is a joke. Went to see one of my favorite bands with my friends, the owner was completely wasted, touching the drums of the artist, throwing himself on stage, and even knocked me down with my very expensive camera in my hand. The owner was completely sloshed. Very embarrassing on his part, and made me very uncomfortable trying to photograph the show. I will not be returning to such a careless venue.
This is a fun little live house with a stage, rows of folding chairs, and a bar. The staff were down to earth and approachable. I caught an open mic night with a WIDE variety of “entertainment, from acoustic guitar acts, to spoken word poetry, to stand up comedy, to primal screaming. It’s an interesting place full of interesting characters.
Great Place to See Original Live Music! My wife and I have been coming here to see concerts here since it opened back in 2001. We love the fact that they book original music bands, not cover bands. The sound is always great - well mixed and loud enough but never a need for ear plugs (thanks Joe!).Its the best place in the Carolinas for live music if youre an early-bird (doors usually open at 7pm, 1st band plays 8pm-9:30 (to an audience seated on folding chairs) so we can be home and in bed by 11pm. However, we often stay for the (standing only) late show - the 2nd band usually on from 10pm-midnite. Thats a MUCH better time table for us than the usual rock bars where the bands dont start playing until 10pm or 11pm. And for you late nighters, you can hang out and party at the Muse after the music ends or begin your NoDa bar crawl at that time. The Evening Muse bands tend to be of the softer/acoustic type (never saw a death metal band there for example). The music styles vary - unique/eclectic but often with an Americana flavor. The musicians/singers are always gifted/very talented.Good crowds too - people that go to the Muse are there to hear the band, not hear each other talk. Theyre more mellow and mature than your typical rock music bar thats packed with loud/rude 20somethings jacked up on too much testosterone & alcohol.Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great live music experience.
The Evening Muse is an incredible place to hear live music, where you can pop in on any night, even if you don’t recognize the names on the poster, and be almost guaranteed to have a magical experience connecting with original music, the creative community in Charlotte, and incredible crew of owners and staff at the Muse. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back soon!
This place where I was is not a Evening Muse. Although, the place beside it is where I went, called The Old News Vintage. Its actually a amazing vintage store,. You can get vintage clothes, hats, name brands like Carhartt, Levis, Adidas, etc. With the nicest, most polite, 2 gentleman there, that will help you find what you possibly need or looking for, that I have ever meet. I believe their the owners. Very helpful. I got me some Carhartt pants, & my husband got him a Star Wars hat. And he doesnt even wear hats. Anyway, Check it out when youre near, Its AWESOME 👍😎... Good stuff, with great prices...
The talent they bring in on stage is always eye opening and exciting, even on open mic nights! The staff behind the bar are always chill and helpful. It’s a gem in Charlotte, and just the right size! Don’t change!
Awesome venue and bar. Went here to see a friend that was headlining for an open mike night: hands down the nest open mike Ive ever been to. Talent is off the charts from the performers abd the staff does a great job with the lineup having complimentary acts follow one another. Will definitely return!
Cute, intimate place to check out local bands and open mic sessions. Friendly bartenders with heavy hands. The owners do a lot for musicians in the community. The seating arrangements could use some feng shui, it’s a little crowded and there’s no place to set your drinks unless you stand at the bar the whole time.
A wonderful little venue with amazing acoustics! My first visit was a concert by Jason Eady. You could hear a pin drop for his performance. Such a respectful crowd that Jason commented numerous times about how it’s his favorite place to perform. Did I mention the sound quality? So good! The bartenders were friendly and the overall atmosphere was great. I will definitely be back.
My husband and I went here last night to see Augustana and it was amazing!! The staff was so kind and welcoming. The acoustics were great and it was nice to be able to grab a drink. The venue was a little smaller than I thought, but I liked that because it made it more intimate. We will definitely be back!!
I left this five star review last night with no description, but I feel that Evening Muse is such a gem that my review requires context.I went to The Evening Muse last night (8/30/2021) for the first time with my girlfriend. I was hoping to get some inspiration from the weekly open mic night, feel out the vibes, consider signing up for the next one, and just have a good night out with my girlfriend. Upon entry, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff (who checked our IDs and collected ticket payments of course), and approached the bar to eat since wed gotten fast food on the way. We chatted with the staff, watched people sign up to perform, and took our seats as the show was about to begin. We had to bring our own food (which isnt a con, we very much enjoyed eating our Cookout at the bar), but The Evening Muse has a solid drink selection of local brews and wine for patrons.I didnt know what to expect in terms of talent, but I was blown away by the folks who performed last night. Every person that performed on that stage was INCREDIBLY talented, and every set (from comedy to music and a little in-between) was phenomenal. I was inspired, to say the least. The girlfriend and I unfortunately had to leave before the amazing Liz Frame and The Kickers finished their set, but all we could talk about on the ride home was how great each performance was. Every song, every bit, and every personality on stage was truly unique and well performed. All in all, its a great place to be. Great staff, great talent, great drinks, and a great time. Great place for performing and supporting local talent.PS Evening Muse staff - I am 100% bringing you guys Cookout milkshakes on Monday. Just let me know your flavors.
Great place for intimate shows. The bartenders are extremely nice as well!
Great music venue!!! It’s an intimate space, great acoustics, wonderful owners and staff!! I’ve seen REALLY GOOD musicians perform and a wide range of genres.....whoever books the talent is obviously a music lover! I’ve also been to open mic night a few times. It’s awesome: welcoming, friendly, warm and a wonderful place for people to do their thing. It also has a full bar and good selection of beer! If you haven’t been, go!! Great place!!
Theres not much I cant say about The Muse that doesnt pull the heartstrings for me personally. This place is SUPER special to me. I started visiting this magical spot on tour many years ago and its still a venue I recommend to this day! Laurie and Don are incredible people who truly love everything about supporting the community that comes through there. The moment you step foot in this place, the vibe is incredible. Take a look around - artwork, music, drinks, and incredible people will surround you. Make sure to stop by at The Muse!
Their calendar caters to intimate, SSW Americana acts, yet their sound mixing is overblown with distorted bass. Ive left shows before with hearing temporary loss, but this was nauseatingly painful.
Excellent venue to catch a show at. I’ve had the pleasure as a musician of playing there a bunch of times over the years as well, and these people are top notch. If you’re in Charlotte and you’re looking for a great night where the people are nice, the vibe is great, and the room sounds awesome, definitely check out The Evening Muse.
Perfect intimate venue for the style of music they tend to book. Great bartenders with exceptional beer selection. Sound is some of the best Ive ever experienced and its primarily an older crowd actually there for the music.Tons of food trucks and other dinner options in the area so get there early. Parking has gotten a lot better with the new parking decks and if you are going to a later show the YMCA on Davidson allows free parking, all within easy walking distance.
One of the best venues in the country! Stellar sound, great staff, and fantastic music booking. You could drop in any night of the week and see top notch music. As a musician who toured many venues across the country it doesn’t get any better than the Evening Muse.
Saw Reina Del Sid last night. Great show except no seat and a couple of linebackers standing up front. Perhaps the venue should cater to the paying patrons instead of the artist. Use to love going here, but I wont be going back to stand for 2 1/2 hours and not even able to see the show. Might as well watch Youtube.
By far the best music venue in Charlotte (and beyond). The staff members are dedicated to providing the best and safest experience possible. Everyone there truly cares about music and artists, and it shows. I dont know of anywhere else that you can have such an intimate experience with the musicians - from folks playing their first song ever, to world-renowned artists - like you can at the Evening Muse. I cant say enough good things about this venue and the people in it.
Ive been hundreds of shows at The Evening Muse over the years, and its consistently a top notch experience. They book fantastic artists, the sound is beyond perfect and the staff is friendly and caring. The Evening Muse is a second home for me and many other music fans in Charlotte. If youre visiting Charlotte, check the Muses schedule and come to a show, even if youve never heard of the artist. You wont be disappointed. If youre used to arena shows, or music in loud bars, you will be amazed at how much better a show in an intimate room like the Muse can be.
Went tonight for an open Mic and let me Say there is talent in Charlotte! From singers, poetry and of course my favorite; Comedy. Nice crowd, drinks were good and affordable. Will definitely be going back.
I love EVERYTHING about this venue. Beautiful space, wonderful staff and owners. This is our new place to see awesome live music. I see why so many of our musician friends love it. I highly recommend it.
Nice, intimate venue for live music. Everyone working there was friendly and inviting. I got to hear one of my favorite musicians, Sandra McCracken, and was introduced to the music of Charles Michael King. Truly an enjoyable evening!
Great spot for live music. Small venue so performers are up close and personal and the sound is great. Never been for coffee, but the Muse has a full bar so you can have a drink while watching a show.
The Evening Muse is the best music club the SouthEast has to offer (period). The staff treats everyone who walks through their doors like family - often remembering their names and what artists & drinks they like. As a performer myself, its a place with incredible sound fidelity... and the production staff treat their touring artists with dignity and respect. Its also a community, cultural, and neighborhood centerpiece outside of music. If I need a boost in my week, The Evening Muse is where I go.
Hands down the best small independent music venue in Charlotte, if not anywhere. I’ve been to thousands of shows in many places and this is my favorite room to see / hear a show. Get tickets in advance becasue shows sell out here. The staff is top notch.
I really loved performing at this cool little venue in Charlotte! Joe (owner & FOH) was great to work with and very accommodating! A big shout out to him & his staff!!
I had the best show here, and the whole team is insanely kind, prepared, and thoughtful. I’m grateful we have a few incredible venues left in CLT, because they are a pillar of our local music scene and culture. Thanks, Muse!
Extremely disappointed. Proof of vaccine or a negative test to attend the show. Should be something youre informed of before buying a ticket, not after. With all of the information available to the public, I strongly encourage the owner(s) to evaluate or reevaluate the data surrounding the covid virus and the vaccine. Vaccinated people still spread and catch the virus, surgical masks and face coverings are not effective solutions, and in most recent news, according to Israel data presented by Bloomberg, people with natural immunity from the first wave are more protected than those who have received both vaccine doses. In case you dont know, booster shots are on the way. You will not be fully vaccinated for long.Would love to visit the establishment, but am not interested in being treated this way as a guest for reasons that are not about health, safety, or reason. I hope to see this establishment take a hard look on what theyre doing and why, as you could be alienating guests new or familiar, in a time when many businesses will gladly take the business traffic that many seem to take for granted.I hope that everybody has a great evening at the show. I know the music will be absolutely fantastic. I look forward to deleting this review but understand and respect your decision to remain unchanged.Thank you and have a wonderful day
I went to see a band called the 502s, who turned out to be really great. This place is the perfect place for a small and intimate concert. They serve beer wine and spirits, and its right in the heart of everything in NODA. Wants to show is over you can go down to Roys and get you some Caribbean food or you can go to Sabor, or even go across the street to the blind pig to play some games. I just absolutely love this place and I will be going back.
Great drinks and great sounds! The Evening Muse is a cozy spot to listen to live music. It showcases local and touring bands. The vibe of the space is great. You have to pay membership fee but its like 1 Dollar.
Fun place to hear/watch up and coming artists. Small stage provides a intimate setting. Puchasing guaranteed seating in first 3 rows is well worth it. Nice bar preventing a thirsty audience. Enjoy dinner at many of the excellent nearby resturants before the show. Audience is a fun diverse group. Good opportunity to make new friends.
Music was great, acoustics good. Parking and traffic terrible on roads to venue. Revised:I understand this is not the fault of the venue. Just a heads-up for those attending. The venue has the vibe of Eddies Attic in Atlanta, but parking and other perks influence this reviewer, whether a theater, restaurant, athletic event, etc. If TEM has a performer you want to hear, by all means go! I will. The most important factor is the artists performance and Antje Duvekot was better than ever.
WOW! What a Fantastic Venue! The owner ( Joe ) and Bartender ( Chris ) were so very nice to us. First time visiting and Certainly Won’t be the last! This place is one of those Hidden Gems that One must visit. Walter and Sherry.
Ive been to The Muse more than a handfull of times, mostly to see and hear bands of friends. The times that Ive actually just gone to go, are the times you see how fortunate Charlotte is to still have a venue alive like this. Staff is great, vibe is awesome.
Despite the music this particular night not really being my cup of tea, I was won over about halfway through. This venue is intimate, which adds so much to the experience. The bartender was funny and friendly, which also added to my happiness. I cant wait to go back!
Amazing venue. The acoustics are fantastic, the bartenders are on point, amd the atmosphere is excellent. Theres a convenient parking garage a super short walk away. I highly recommend this place.
Came to see a family member play play here, they charge a dollar for a membership (I dont live here and will probably never be back, but they claim its because theyre a private club and they serve liquor), plus $10 for a ticket to get in. Well as a member you dont get any discounted drinks or perks, you just get to come in. LolOtherwise its a cool place, good drinks and staff. Very small, and pretty quite place to relax.
This is a spare live music place with plenty of booze, in the heart of Charlottes puny arts district. It has great potential, but at the same time seems on the edge of collapse. It is quaintly southern, in that to sell booze, it has to call itself a club and charges a buck to become a member for a year. The cover for the live band was just $4 more. Classic bible belt hypocrisy. If youre a regular person, you cant drink. If youre a member, you can guzzle yourself silly. The strangest thing was all the chairs were piled up and chained to the wall. No tables, but then again, no food, not even a bag of crisps to wash down with the local brews. The music set went 2hrs without a break-- and nowhere to sit! It was way too loud for my ears. I put in my earplugs, but still my ears hurt, and my body was pummeled with the bass. Not fun, though the band was great. Id be afraid to go back again, because it was such a punishing experience. That night there were only 5-6 patrons (Wednesday night). I asked for a non-alcoholic beer, but, of course, they had none. But the bartender gave me a tonic water on the house, to make up for it. I guess its right for some, because its been there for at least 10 years. But bring earplugs, and maybe a chair....
Best listening room in Charlotte hands down! The Evening Muse is becoming the most historic venue in town for seeing new, local, and national bands with that small club atmosphere. If you want a intimate listening experience with a music artist this place is for you! Definitely my favorite spot and the price for admission never lets me down. Just get to the venue early because parking can be tricky.
I have not attended a single show here. I am writing this review because of the crazy people who give this establishment 1 star for reasons the establishment cannot control re: PARKING, SEATING, and my favoring not liking the bands that were playing that night. Here is my personal opinion to those who give their trashy 1 star opinions, keep your ignorant, stupid, ridiculous, outlandish, unwarranted, illegitimate opinions to yourself. To say I am giving this establishment 1 star because I cannot land my space ship on the roof and then NOT playing the “outer stellar” hyper traveling, teleporting, super sonic band “Beastie Boys”on Tuesdays nights is crazy. My second favorite 1 star review, “not having any seats available”. My advice for next time, bring a chair from home knucklehead. If you have a legitimate reason to complain then give a 1 star or whatever but do not voice your opinion about the above mentioned. Who am I to give my opinion after saying keep your 1 star opinions to yourself? All is fair in love and war…. Can we EVER be decent human beings to each other? We are animals, some more than others.
The Evening Muse is my favorite place to go for live music. The owners and staff to go great lengths to make it a great environment to enjoy the the music. Musicians from all over look forward to playing at The Evening Muse and I am ever so grateful that I get to benefit from that ❣️
This is on my short list of places that are worth driving 7 to 10 hours to play. Great people, great sound, audiences who listen. I’ve played there 17 times and I’ve lived between 400 and 700 miles away during those years. A gem.
The Evening Muse is a great place to see and hear accomplished singer-songwriters. The sound system is excellent and the small intimate atmosphere is just right. Theres a small bar off to the side and the service is very good. The talent is top notch as well. Jamie & Steve (Spongetones) were excellent and Peter Case is scheduled for April as well.
Cool music venue and great for a date night. Laid back atmosphere...feels like you are in Brooklyn. Everyone is so nice, music quality is awesome and great drink selection. It is a gem!
This is the spot.Whenever friends from out of town ask where they should go in Charlotte The Evening Muse is always on that list.A true staple of NoDa & I love the employees almost as much as the stage. So many different events presented very professionally. Its a venue that is very well managed & anyone is bound to have a good experience there.
Worst music venue Ive been to. They opened the doors half an hour after they were advertised to open. They didnt even let the band set up on time, so they had to set up in front of the audience. The bar staff was also extremely rude when we attempted to order drinks. If you like shows that run way behind schedule and snarky remarks from your bartender, this is the place for you.
First time here for open mic. Everything was so nice. Multiple seats and drinks average $8. Super glad i came and Ill be back. Mixed crowd of races and ages. Friendly staff and bar tender.
Fantastic, intimate venue for great music! The bartenders are top notch too. We visit often and we live 1.5 hour away, in SC.
Saw the sold out Charles Walker show!! So fantastic! Great sound, staff, drinks!
Open Mic was great. Theres a cute community here that knows how to rock and have fun. Loved the feature+open mic combo.
Good location in Noda to bar hop around, drinks priced reasonably with $3 pbr tall boys and cool venue. Can take awhile to be seen at the bar and the bartender was forgetting the order of patrons but he was very nice and the atmosphere was solid.
Great place to see a show. A smaller venue. Do you want to see a show or maybe see some live music this is the place. I bet you can find some really cool band that float on through this place. It is located in a corner building and the place can be packed on the inside and it looks like lot of fun!!!
The bartenders are fantastic! It’s a great place to see a good show.
Really cool place to see a small show. The worst spot in the place is about 40 feet from the performer so its great. Solid bar with good beer selection. Nice people.
Great location for live music, handles crowds of around 100 people. Get exposed to a variety of artists in a warm, intimate setting. Management/staff are sincere, down to earth people too. Solid experience.
Best intimate venue experience in Charlotte. The staff takes great care of both the musicians and patrons, and I really appreciate their considerations of safety during these unfortunate pandemic times!
Great, hole in the wall atmosphere. Excellent drink selection and amazing schedule of interesting and unique music. Tough to find a place to sit but otherwise a terrific place to soak in live music.
The muse is our favorite spot for live music in Charlotte. The combination of an intimate setting, fantastic sound system, good drink selection, and friendly service has led to many great evenings spent here.
Very special venue. Amazing place to hear live music and meet fellow music lovers in a great part of town. Highly recommend!
This venue is fantastic! Don and his whole staff make you feel so welcome! Love the drink selection!
Great little venue spot. Incredible open mic on Mondays. Loved it.
This place was very charming and had a very mellow vibe. I attended an open mic night and there were some very interesting performances. The drinks were also really good. They should consider added a kitchen service.
An awesome hole in the wall. Its tiny and rustic. Just the place if you cant do crowds. Great live music lineup. Not sure how such a small place pulls it off but I cant stop going.
Excellent Room for listening to music, the sound is always mixed great at a comfortable listening level. Staff is great as well, run more like a family than a business.
Super cool venue. Excellent entertainment and great, affordable drinks.
Watched Adam Lazarra and John Nolan acoustic show here a while back and it was great. Its very small and makes it a personal experience with the musicians. Cozy with string lights. Hope to go back soon
It was clean, loved the design, the staff was nice, and we had a great time seeing I and the Lad! Great band, great venue
Every time that Ive been here the show has been excellent. Couple that with a great whiskey selection and youve got my vote. Excellent place to spend a night.
Evening muse is an awesome place Ive seen several bands here... decent price drinks always good show If Youve never been here definitely stop in and check it out its a great place
Place is kinda small and was sold out with no place to sit for a number of people that last time we went. If you get there early its cool. Cant dance however but fun none the less.
The Muse is my absolute top favorite venue for attending live music shows! I have been going to shows there for over 20 years and the staff area always welcoming and treat you like family
Now listed as a club so you need to get a membership to get in (which is only a dollar). The venue is very small and extra cramped. When I went both artists had pretty embarrassing technical issues. The bar is well-stocked, but they forgot to charge me got a drink (Dont know if they get points or lose points for that).
Wonderful listening room for live music. Acoustics are fantastic. A little cramped in the chairs, but one of our best venues.
So much fun in an old school rustic environment. The sound is great, bartenders competent and venue super cool
The band was great had a blast. Will go again when the disco Viking comes around. Thanks for a fantastic show!!!
Saw Sean McConnell here for the 2nd time the other night. Love this venue and will 100% be returning.
The sound is great here. Intimate venue with a great staff. Chris at the bar always keeps your glass filled and Joe is a master with the sound. Love this venue.
Its a great spot for small concerts. They charge for tickets plus a cover which I find is silly. Beer is also way over priced but otherwise it is a great space!
I will never support an establishment who medically discriminates against potential patrons and requires its employees to be “vaccinated.” If the masks, vaccines, and social distancing worked then why are cases higher now than at any other time? Notice how only one disease is of concern for you to enter. What if someone ose to you has Tuberculosis but is not vaxed against it? Well they are allowed to enter yet that could be fatal. See how this works? But it’s about the science right? Please folks don’t support any sort of establishment who is complicit in creating a two-tiered society and eradicating freedoms under the guise of health. You can agree or disagree with a mandate (which is not a law btw) but we should all agree to having freedom of choice and bodily autonomy. Those who would sacrifice freedom for perceived security will get and deserve neither. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Cozy and intimate for the best small venue experience for spoken word and singer/songwriter acts!
Probably the best open mic venue on the east coast. I love this place and the environment
Phenomenal - the owners an old fat guy and we love him! Awesome venue with an awesome show!
If you love music, youll love The Evening Muse. They offer a wide variety of acts from all over the country and present them beautifully mixed and illuminated. One of the top spots in NoDa.
Nice atmosphere. The performers were good and the audience was respectful. The space is small, overall everything is good.
Went to see Jake Scott....great little venue...nice fully stocked bar...awesome friendly bar tender and staff... and low priced tickets to see great performers! Nestled in the super quirky area that is NoDa!
Great place to hear some music, no real sitting area if your looking to sit down.
Great little venue for some up close and personal time with whatever band you are going to check out. Great selection of beverages as well.
My girlfriend and I ordered ginger ale at $2 a glass which is a little expensive but the barkeep was friendly. We came to see Matt heckler and had a fantastic time!
We went for the Bop or Flop event and had the BEST time!!! Laughed so much, drinks were great and the atmosphere was awesome
This is a great live music venue! The staff is very friendly. The sound system is great! I would recommend this place to everyone.
Never been there but I heard Lazer Loyd is going to be in town and I could not miss it so dropped myself there and had a blast so fun music and live show with good ppl of Charlotte 💙 and good beer as well thanks Charlotte for a night to remember!
Good venue but very small. They have a few craft beers and liquor but not a large selection. The sound for shows is good.
Great venue for that intimate feel. Decently priced drinks and friendly staff. Good place to catch a band!
A small and intimate music venue, perfect place to see a band. Great acoustics and one of the most personable and fun staffs in all of Charlotte!
One of the BEST small venues on the Eastern seaboard for live entertainment!!!
Rudest bartenders Ive ever encountered. Ive been to bars where you have to wait a while to get a drink, but to have the bartender yell at my husband when he was just trying to tell him that two of the drinks were on a separate tab, red flag number one followed by just not serving us because of it, #2. Then asking me what I want and make a yapping hand gesture at me when I tried to close the tab, downright offensive.
Great sound and acoustics for a small venue. However some of management staff was quite rude and disappointing. Wont be going to any future shows.
Great place for music lovers. Their open mic on Monday nights is legendary, and the performers are consistently good here!
Great show... limited to no seating though. Get there early.
Man what a nightMusic was awesome but bartenders messed up....Go if you dont mind leaving 35 ‘minutes after wanting to close your tab other wise go enjoy rude serviceWould leave a -5 stars if i couldNot to mention it happened to all my friends , we where a group of +20
Cool little spot, bartenders were on point the whole night. Music was ok, but super noisy for the size of the space. Kinda ruined the music for me.
The band ministry was playing here beginning of November. I wish they can come back ASAP!! Their funky jazz music is exactly what Charlotte needs more of
Absolutely love the venue and the staff! The acoustics are amazing!
Saw live music there. Such a cool and intimate venue. Easy access and great location. Staff was very friendly
My girlfriend and I found this on Event rite while visiting for the weekend. It was fun, diverse, and entertaining. Would go again.
The Evening Muse presents a wide array of eclectic music in a welcoming space. Were lucky to have this wonderful venue in Charlotte!
The best small music venue in Charlotte! This place has a great atmosphere, good beers and located in charming NODA.
Quaint little venue. Ample nearby parking, friendly staff, good beer selection.I went for Brittney Spencer, and will be back.
Nice little venue. It was my first time visiting North Carolina and I got to see OBL (One Big Love) perform.
Imagine being able to go back to your childhood home to see your favorite bands surrounded by your favorite people. To me, and to so many others, this is exactly what going to the Evening Muse is like.
Had a wonderful time at The Evening Muse. Got to see mt favorite band Tuatha Dea and spend time with family. Great atmosphere!
First concert at venue. Definitely will be back. Great place!
Love this venue. Great to just check in and see whats happening. Friendly staff are easy going and open to most questions
Ive only been here a few times to listen to some friends bands play. Its always been fun and the atmosphere is eclectic and cool
One of the best places Ive ever seen or played live music in the entire US. Dont miss out!
A very intimate venue in the center of NODA, Charlottes artsy twenty-something hipster scene.
Great music venue - cozy intimate setting allows for more personal connection with the artists. HIGHLY recommend!
Good vibes, good event, good atmosphere, good people made for a good time👍🏾
Great place for Music 🎵🎶
Fantastic venue for both local and smaller touring acts. Great owner, vibe, beer
Great place for open Mic nights on Mondays. Good Mic of comedy and music. Nice selection of local brews.
So happy that live music is back! Great venue, cozy and friendly people.
Great little venue. Highly recommended! Good beer selection and a great staff!
Fantastic hole-in-the-wall in an amazingly trendy area
Very nice place, great atmosphere, and great crowd. This was my first time there and I really really enjoyed myself.
Ive enjoyed some excellent small venues, but this little place was magical.

One of the best music venues in Charlotte. Very intimate with both great sound and a great crew.
Little Stranger perfomed here with Sondor Blue and my buds from Little Stranger Kevin and John pulled me up on stage to freestyle at the end of the set! Ayyyy was lit
