Tilt on Trade

We visited on a Thursday night, and the DJ came on at 10:00 PM, great music! There are two electronic dartboards, but for those who play remote darts, these are not hooked up to the Internet lol! The vibe was really good, busy, and fun with a crowd of mixed ages which was really comfortable. Prices were reasonable as well and good service from the bartenders. I would recommend giving this place a try for a fun vibe and great music!

My husband and I stopped by here one day out and about enjoying the city in between meetings at the event center… the drink was really good and the nachos were slamming… lol we both looked at each other like these nachos are good lol we just shared an appetizer and looked around. They have games and the service was awesome. They do ID you at the door so be ready!

If you like hip hop This is a the place! The service was fast and genuinely nice. I felt safe as the bar had security and bouncers. The music was loud. I did not notice a dance floor. However a pong tournament was going on

WOW! Worst experience ever. Would never give a bad review as a bar manager unless the place was really horrible. We were in town for the soccer semifinals and as soon as we walked in, another customer from the opposite team approached us and tried to assault us, but we walked away, then some random coked out manager bum rushed us and kicked us out by screaming in our faces and pushing us all until he pushed us out the door. No explanation or questions about what happened to us. When we tried to explain that we were the ones assaulted the staff just kept yelling BYE! in our faces like children.Why would anyone recommend this bar to people visiting? These people do not care about you having a good time and have no lives. Your job is not that important, get some culture, visit other places and grow up.

Nice spot to grab a drink. Right across from the Marriott hotel. One of the few spots that we could find that was open around 4 and 5 pm in this area. No fancy cocktails. But has good beer on tap and standard drinks.

Seriously my favorite place uptown! Fun, rustic and classy all at the same time. Customer service is amazing and so much staff making sure it is always a fun safe night for all! My nonprofit Attach Families Inc. attachfamilies.org held its very first fundraising event here and the entire staff got involved in helping and making it the perfect night! The owners are absolutely AMAZING!

Didn’t get to experience the food because the service was horrible! They do not need to add this bar to any other events. Maybe it was just US but we were completely ignored. #margaritasandmimosasevent

This is an awesome bar that is great to go hang out at with coworkers or friends! They dont serve food, but they make up for it with every type of alcohol you can imagine! Our bartender James, was phenomenal. He kept me in good conversation, since I was the DD and kept the alcohol pouring for everyone else! They have lots of games, Jenga, beer- pong, darts, and others! For those that smoke, they even have a vending machine with cigarettes that takes credit cards. If youre looking for cheers, here it is.

Loved the beer pong and things to do other than just sit at the bar and drink! Not many people which was great! Expensive drinks but comparable to the area!

This establishment has a pretty average drink menu for the area, in a positive way. They have beer pong, giant Jenga, and darts. The age range is closest to around 21-40. The DJ was great.

Okay this is a great place to unwind after hours. The drinks are reasonable and they also have a live DJ and games ( beer pong, big jingle and darts-not the real ones. Warning! This place can get crowded and suddenly you go from a seat to standing room only. Like and dislikes? I love the music and the atmosphere. Dislikes. Its a mix crowd (anywhere from suits to joggers. Leggings to damn near nothing.) Maybe thats not really bad now I say it out loud 🤦🤣In my experience the best bang for your buck is Thursday - Sunday Id say. Vape friendly place! Also has patio and back yard seating. Now Ive never chilled on the patio nor have I ever seen this great back years area as of yet. Great part for me they close at 2am 😁Overall 5/10

Enjoyed drinks, sports on TV, and conversation with bar staff. The other customers were all male, besides me and my friend. We enjoyed it. There are games like beer pong and other things you can do for fun. I think they have a nightly DJ. This is a very close walk to many hotels near Omni and is not far from the Red-Eye Diner.

One of my favorite bars to go to in the Uptown area. Fun bar with beer pong, darts, and the dj/music selection is always great.

Went here for the first time recently and had a blast. The giant Jenga was so much fun. Good Drinks and Good company!

Casual bar for drinks and music with a ‘next door no-frills’ feel. Bar seating is the only one that is available. Service was good. Selection mostly comprises of basic Mixed drinks and canned/bottled beverages, nothing fancy. Reasonably priced and good location in the middle dome downtown. There was a live DJ at the back of the room with a small dance floor for those interested. No social distancing provisions are followed for those wondering.

Great drink selection and excellent staff. Really great whiskey advice. I love hitting bars early, and it was great.

This place was pretty cool. If you’re looking for a very bar like atmosphere nothing to do but socialize though the music is horrendously loud, and there’s only a tiny space for dancing, this is it. They have two bars which was cool but didn’t seem to speed up the ability to get a drink. They had five bouncers outside the door which seemed excessive, and were kind of rude but still did their job. It’s a good spot to include if you’re bar hopping but not to stay all night.

I frequent this place when there are events uptown. Love this place for the drinks, crowd and spectator opportunities. Nice chill spot, next door to hooter, most of the patrons are really nice and I always meet some intersing people. If you want to find a spot with no drama, this is the place.

Went there on a Saturday night for a quick drink with coworkers and never be back again. My Uber was on the way so I decided to get a last quick round for me and my friends and when the bartender cashed me out I didn’t find my credit card in a book. Asked him to check around to see if maybe it fell out but obviously he was extremely annoyed and said that “he can’t make it happen for me right away” I ended up checking everything around and deactivating my card right away. After around 20 minutes he comes out and gives a card to my friend, not even saying sorry for however he acted. I am a server myself and know that you just can’t talk to customers like that. At least drinks were good

Both times Ive been its been insufferably white. No one would dance, even though the music was good! Maybe Ive just been there during off days (are Saturdays off for them?), but the atmosphere has yet to impress me. Drinks were decent. Also, the shape of the bar is off-putting to me. You HAVE to push past people to get to the other side regardless of of its crowded or not! Sometimes I just dont want people touching me. I think if they rearranged it would help a lot. They have a really neat back room with tables that isnt (last I checked) used for much. Ill come back sometime to see if I have a different experience.

I love this place every time I go. The drinks are great! They have giant Jenga and beer pong in the back which is cool for ppl like me who sometimes go out by themselves. Helps you mingle with other friendly folks.(Fyi: no joggers/sweats for guys. Just make sure your pants or shorts have belt loops and you should be fine)

I really like Tilt the few times that I went. The drinks are always great! The atmosphere is relaxed. The bar area is always clean and I liked the music that they played while I was there. I went right after New Years and was given some free merchandise so that was a plus too! I would definitely come back!!!

We spent the weekend in Charlotte for a football game and birthday celebration. Stumbled upon this bar our first night and it became our go to spot for the weekend. Good music and atmosphere. Drinks were a little pricey and the bartenders were a little slow but it was a very busy weekend. Overall good time downtown

Came to North Carolina on a whim and had to stop into at least one bar and I’m so glad I stopped in here.

One of the only dive bars left from when I was young. Brings me back every time I walk in and with all walks of people. Certainly a classic if you are in Charlotte.

This place was possibly the best place Ive visited so far. The drinks were great, the music selection was shaky but expected for the environment. The crowd was a mix bag, which, I like. The games where entertaining and they had karaoke. If you are looking for a place to loosen the tie and chill with good people and strong drinks then this is the spot.

We love this bar. This is our end cap bar when were in Charlotte. If you love hip hop music and a good vibe crowd, this is it. Only seating is at the bar so be ready to stand.

I have been to Tilt three times now. Most of the bar staff are pro. My bill has been fair at all times regardless of...sobriety. Its easy to tip these guys 20% because the booze flows strong and the security is on point. Music varies but the dj does take requests so no complaints there. Smoking area could be a little larger, but I am not complaining. Thank you owner for a great spot to hang out uptown!

Went to this bar after work one day with a coworker and its was nice. The bartender was knowledgeable on drinks when we asked him and the service was very prompt. Wouldnt mind going back to this bar anyday

Decided To Go Here Because I Heard The Vibes Was Lit , But I couldn’t Get In Because :“ Sweatpants aren’t Allowed”. Which was kind of odd to me since I watched women walk in with skin tight dresses and low cut shorts but I was rejected for wearing A 2-Piece sweatsuit to match the 55 degree weather 😒The first bouncer gave me the green light to go in after checking my ID but I was stopped by a second one that mentioned I couldn’t enter because of my pants I respected his wishes since he did state he was the owner of the barNot trying to make it seem like I’m bashing the place I just feel like if the Dress code for a“ casual bar “ is that strict it should be put on the website/instagram so people won’t waste their gas just to get turned around at the door.But like I said not trying to spread any negativity! But if you’re reading this sweatsuits aren’t allowed

My friends and I used to love Tilt but had not been in a while. We decided to tell everyone to meet here for the next stop on our company Christmas party…mistake. Bouncer were extremely rude.

This place is hard not to like....at first glance you dont think it is anything special, it even kind of looks like a dive. But if you go a few times you will find that the staff and owners are so fantastic you just want to come back. There always seems to be some sort of event or something going on that makes the night fun. Drinks are reasonable for uptown and music is pretty good. It gets packed late night so get there early if you like a quieter atmosphere. Highly recommended.

If you want a great and easy place to grab a drink, tilt is the place to go. The bartenders are super friendly and always get your check right, not to mention the men Who staff the door are, bar-none the best. Whether you work in the service industry or not, tilt is a great place to go have a drink and perhaps meet the love of your life.

I must say this is not like the typical places I visit. If youre looking for fancy or upscale this is not the place. However, if you just want to have some fun, listen to good music, and get affordable drinks this is the place. I had a great time here while visited during a road trip to NC.

My friends and I were in town from Texas for the Bon Jovi concert and got to hang out here for a night. Great atmosphere and awesome music! Such a fun place to hang out!

This place is the best!! Not only is this a great and fun location, but the owner and staff are fabulous and caring people. The night of my wedding we lost power at our venue down the street from Tilt. Tilt not only welcomed us with open arms, but they opened up their private room in the back, sent cars to pick everyone up, then bought everyone a drink and a shot upon arrival.They did all of this without expecting much from us in return being that we brought our wine and beer from the wedding reception with us. I would recommend Tilt to anyone whos looking to have a great time and be treated well for a night out in Charlotte!

Alright place i guess, no chairs to sit down in they were up against a wall while ppl danced which is fine, packed bar. But bartenders did pretty good as far as getting ppl drinks and not ignoring ppl that had been waiting. But i dunno if it was just loud because asked for a certain drink but was given a different drink

This place is always consistent. There’s night clubs, dive bars, pubs, and then TILT on TRADE.This is the place for those who want something in between. The energy is always lively, the crowd is never too over the top on the weekdays and the service is always on point.Cheers.

Extremely unsafe bar with a horrible staff. They left their basement staircase open with no warning, in a dark crowded bar, causing me to fall through it. I’m not one to cause a scene but when I told the manager he didn’t even apologize, all I got asked is if I want a bandaid. I was the designated driver so i wasn’t even drinking, but imagine an actual intoxicated person tumbled down the stairs. Horrible experience, definitely a place to be careful in.

Good time for just lounging and drinking. Small plastic cups which means youre probably getting 12oz opposed to 16 at other places, but very nice people and easy going environment.

You could consider this a dive bar, but its way better than that. There is a great outdoor space, its small but it works. The DJs they have are always amazing. One of my go to places for drinks and dancing thats not a club.

1/2 off drinks on Tuesday! Super friendly bartenders. The location is right in the middle of Uptown directly across from the Marriott. Bar games in the back and theres a DJ sometimes. I missed 4 flights because of a delay and ended up in Charlotte. I needed to end the night on a high note and I came to Tilt. I met a really genuine and kind bartender who made my night. Nice people, good vibes

Matt Spears is an awesome bartender. We came in a big group for a happy hour and he did a great job serving everyone. Great music, great specials, well definitely be back!

The bartender was not attended to us. It took her 10 minutes to come over after we sit at the bar. She was having a conversation with the other bartender. My drink was empty 5 minutes and she was no where to be found. My friend spotted her eating and chatting with another coworker. I will not return .

Tilt is a great dive bar concept in uptown. Cheap drinks, friendly people, no frills. Its unique to uptown where craft cocktails and local beer are dominating the scene.Tilt is a nice alternative when you just want to enjoy yourself and relax in an unpretentious atmosphere.

Tilt was lit! My first time going to a bar with my husband and this place was AMAZING! We went Halloween 🎃 truly a night I (we) wont forget!

Really nice establishment. Bartenders are really nice and its really weird the way its set up because most places are wide but this place is long. Youll catch my drift when you walk inside.

One of our favorite late night spots in CLT off Trade Street - walking distance from the Epicentre. Recently renovated the back bar and looks great! Weekends get shoulder to shoulder, but maybe thats how you like it! ;) Love Tilt

Been here at least 20 times with no issue, then randomly denied at the door bc of dress code, never knew they had one and i know i’ve worn the same pants there before, wouldn’t be upset if it wasn’t a new issue

TILT is a very entertaining venue where you can participate in bingo quizzes to earn rewards, raffle drawings, play a game of Darts, listen to a wide variety of music, & enjoy a 🌃 out on the town. The staff makes you feel like your in the company of family @ a reunion. Really great place to visit if your ever in the downtown area of Charlotte NC

Casual bar with beer pong, decent drink specials and a full bar. Usually crowded on the weekends with nice outdoor space for when the weather is nicer. Usually a younger crowd (25 - 35).

Went to this bar last night (my friend and I) and when we entered we were asked for our IDs so we hand both to the bouncer and then he handed one back. When I asked him where the other ID was he said that a man that walked by stole it. He also said “it wasn’t my fault” even though it was in his hand. So now we are on vacation and my friend doesn’t have her ID. Way to go. 👏🏻👏🏻 Zeroooo starsss.

Came for their outside patio but wasnt open. Based on what one of the workers said its only open for private events. But other than that its still a decent chill bar.

In the heart of Uptown Charlotte, this bar is perfectly placed next to the Hooters. All the has-been frat boy duesche bags that strike out with the ladies next door must make their way over to Tilt to forget how much they such. The entire place seemed like they had an attitude, everyone including the staff. Will not be going back. I dont enjoy paying for overpriced beer AND being in bad company.

This place was great, gave very generous pours (rare for uptown bars), and had a tremendous feel and vibe. Every and any time in the city proper, I will stop by for a drink.

One of my favorite place, well use to be up until the bar manager Brandon was off work one night and drank himself into a rage at his own bar one night and completely disrespected some of the regulars that go in there multiple times a week. Brandon has zero respect for others, under poor drinks, has a cocky self centered attitude and really no direction in how to properly manage a bar. I hope this wont be an issue for long. People that work at a bar make the bar and it is the main reason people come back. I pray this Brandon loser doesnt cost them anymore businesse...

Odd place …. Bar stools short - bar sits high - makes it kind of uncomfortable. No beer or drink menus, very little craft beer options. Unable to open a tab without them actually holding your card is the biggest turn off. Is what it is …. just not user friendly imo.

This is a small bar right next to hooters, the last time I went we were meeting with a Charlotte meetup group. The atmosphere was pretty mellow although this place can get pretty active if there is a DJ. But when that happens its crowded and cramped.

Great place to sit down and have a drink the bartender was on the spot and the drinks were good pours. Also the central location down town was great for walking around.

There was no space at the bar where we had one guy in a group cut us to get drinks and they order like 15 drinks. After the bartender helped them she literally walked to the other side to get others drinks. The other guy bartender would not even look in our direction and we waited over 30 mins to never be served. Needless to say I’ll never be back or recommend this bar.

Adam the bartender doesnt have a personality. He Stands at the bar doesnt speak not attentive and you tip him, But you cant tip him a personality.

Great music, good drinks, small area for dancing and games (beer pong and giant Jenga). It can get pretty congested but its a good vibe!

Disappointing drinks, fratty vibe, somehow got roped into a singles party when all we wanted was to smoke cigs and drink on the patio. instead we dealt with lonely dudes thinking we were speed dating.

Havent been to TILT in years. recently went on Friday night.Cons: beer selection was limited and lacked variety . Im an IPA kinda gal and only option available was bottle bells 2hearted. Cocktails/ mixed drinks were ok.Pros:Dear Mr. DJ, you were KILLING it Friday night‼️your set had a little of everything...kept me dancing the moment i stepped foot inside till close.Dem throwbacks tho😍

Best place to forget what happened, I swear this place is almost like a tiny slice of Vegas in Charlotte. Tons of different social groups, randoms, out of towners, kick ball teams, rugby teams, Chivers... never a dull night at this place!
