Massage was ok, good strong hands but awkward interaction & technique needs improvement…. Maybe he’s new… I got the deep tissue instead of the Swedish so that might be why the massage felt off…… the foot massage/scrub add on for $65 (!!!!) was not worth the price, don’t bother. It’s just a foot scrub & hot towel and a little bit of massage, nothing great at all!! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Place is clean and smells nice. I bought a face mask and I enjoy it, skin felt great after using it. I would maybe go back and perhaps try a Swedish massage instead.

Group of five - did the candle pouring. Made a reservation well advance which I def recommend for weekends. They were very busy when we arrived and the space is small. Staff member was very helpful, but I wish the candles could be labeled more easily or with something that looks nicer, considering the price. Still had fun and love our scents.

Absolutely amazing experience. Steph was lovely from the moment i walked in, to the time i was walking out of the door. Shannon is who did my facial, & i have nothing but GOOD things to say about her. She was amazing and i would recommend this place 10x over.

Booked this place for my best friend’s bachelorette party. The staff were so accommodating, so kind, and were dedicated to making our experience great! Bethany did my massage and it was the best massage I’ve had in a long time. I went back two weeks later and brought my mom. I will be a customer here for awhile!!!

Highly recommend Good Fortune for local shopping and for massages! The store has essential oils, bath bombs, spa items, and more. My husband and I had the Relaxation Swedish Massage + Tension Tamer and Bethany was amazing! She was very caring and kind during my massage. You can also take a candle making class here! The new owners, Chris & Steph, are super sweet :)

Unique shop! First time making our own candle and body oil. Fun process to smell all the scents and then come up with our favorite to then put into a candle. Next time will do a body spray and maybe roll-on scent. Also think this is a fun gift to give someone that wants to create something of their own and not just but off the shelf.

Everyone in here was extremely friendly to me! It has a great vibe, smells great and with a warm and lovely staff. The only thing I was slightly confused or disappointed by is that my massage had an upcharge for the hot stones, which makes sense! I happily paid for the upgrade. But the stones were only used for maybe 5 minutes or less in the very beginning and never touched again, even though I asked him to keep using them. Anytime I’ve gotten this service elsewhere, the stones were kept warm and incorporated at various times throughout the whole body. Overall, it was a really great massage though and I’d go back :)

Enjoyed a Tension Tamer massage from Bethany and a Vitamin C facial with dermaplaning from Debbie on July 23rd. Both spa services were fantastic! Purchased some of their amazing skincare products as well, including the antioxidant face oil and white tea water cream. Would love to go back for more spa treatments, next time we are in the Chattanooga area.

I used to love this place! Best smelling & feeling bar soap! Me and the boyfriend were huge fans of their soap. And I particularly loved their night cream. Well, new owners have taken over. No more soap. They have new soap, and the price is more than double the old favorite. Theyre not making my night cream anymore, either. But the soap...people LOVED it! I dont get it. I loved supporting a local business with great quality products at a decent price. On top of that, but not particularly important, theyve changed their packaging, and its not nearly as appealing as the old packaging. Unfortunately, they have lost a customer.

I love this place! I think I’ve about ordered everything from this store that I can and I don’t even live in Chattanooga but in Florida. I went in for a fantastic spa treatment, made my own scented candle, room spray and roll on. I only wish this store was in my area but they have free shipping after you order a certain amount. I can’t say enough about how great this store is and the employees that work there!

I got a deep tissue massage from Daniel and my wife got a facial from Shannon and it was amazing. The experience was a perfect balance of authentic and high end all at once, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We felt cared for by the staff and the service was top notch! I went in for a prenatal massage at 34 weeks pregnant and wow it was incredible. I’ve been to a few places in Chattanooga and this is by far the best massage ive had. Thank you Daniel! Can’t wait to go back.

Had a great deep tissue/pain relief massage with Bethany. Her pressure was perfect for what I needed and it wasn’t too painful on the spots I was feeling most discomfort before I came in.I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Would totally see her again!

I came to Chattanooga on a work trip and decided to do the make and take class. I brought two coworkers with me, (one who was male) and It was so fun! We all made our own scents and bought additional items as well. The employee who helped us was so friendly, and even let us know they could ship orders to us back to us in Wisconsin if we wanted to order online! Would definitely come back!!!

Absolutely loved this place!! I made the roll on perfume. The experience of getting to go in and smell everything and pick what you liked, then the very nice women there mixing it up and allowing you to test smell before mixing YOUR VERY OWN SCENT….. was absolutely incredible. I love the skin care products. My favorites are the face oil serum and the antioxidant moisturizer… but I’ve honestly loved everything I’ve tried - and I’ve tried everything. The pumpkin mask is amazing.

It was my last day in Chattanooga I wanted to do something I’ve never done before and googled “what to do in Chattanooga “? This place popped up and offered candle making. I booked two tickets. I was unaware that it was a spa too. My friend and I had a great time making our candles. I will be back in Chattanooga in a few months and will book their Spa Services.

I highly recommend the Daily Retinol Oil! It’s one of the few Retinols that can be used for all skin types! It will not dry you out or irritate your skin because of the fruit oils! It’s very hydrating to your skin as well as helping with cellular turnover!

Did the candle scent experience with 2 people. All staff were super kind and helpful and overall we loved the experience. However the only thing that makes me hesitant to want to go again is our experience with burning the candles. One of the wicks was pretty off center and led to major issues with burning. I’m well aware of all the “rules” to burning candles them so it’s not user error, and as you can see only one side is tunneling due to it being off center. The other candle is better and not rly an issue but still a tiny bit off center (you can see a little more wax on the edge of one side). I’m hoping this issue gets taken into consideration because we would love to go back but for the price I just expect the wicks to be centered properly!

My experience with Good Fortune was absolutely amazing! My first time visiting was on a bachelorette trip in Chattanooga for some “make and take” candle fun. I was a little unsure about candle making going into it because I had done a candle making class on a previous bachelorette trip in Nashville (AT A DIFFERENT/UNRELATED STORE) and did not find it worth the money. The Nashville candle store was overpriced, rushed, unhelpful, and limited on creativity. The experience at Good Fortune was not like that at all! The staff was friendly, extremely attentive and helpful with answering our questions and guiding us through making our own scents. The process was simple yet incredibly fun, and the prices were very reasonable! Our group raved all weekend about what a fun, relaxing bonding experience Good Fortune provided for us! We even decided to make more than just candles- many of us made gifts for our guys back home! I highly recommend making Good Fortune apart of your time in Chattanooga, even if you just stop in to purchase one of their pre-made self care items!

Great place. Ive been for facials and brow tints. After each visit, my face felt rejuvenated after the service with Shannon. I took my family for a Make and Take experience as their Christmas gift. Everyone in my group loved it. Their ages ranged from 9 to 70. It was all girls except my brother, and he loved it too.

I stopped by to have them make my favorite perfume with essential oils (a safer alternative to chemicals). I believe the girls name was Shannon who helped me. She was so patient in the process and made an incredible scent that I absolutely LOVE!I highly recommend this place! Prices were fair too.TIP: There arent many signs to direct newbies on how to enter the building. I parked in back and walked up the sidewalk to the front entrance - I did not see a back entrance from the parking lot. Not an issue - just a historic building layout.

Suzanne did an amazing job, I highly recommend the organic nutritional facial! She was very sweet and informative, and her facial was very relaxing. My skin is so soft! The whole staff was very friendly!

Jen and Bobbie are incredible! My first time in I was short on time so I picked up a couple items off the shelf. This time in I had plenty of time and they talked me through everything. They have so many products to customize and/or make yourself. They also have a spa and boutique hotel! If youre around Chattanooga and looking for natural body products/candles/relaxation this is the place to go! They also give you a discount if you bring back your previous containers for re-fill.

I booked a Make and Take experience for a bachelorette party, and it was a great experience! The girls working there were incredibly nice, and all of the products were great quality. I would definitely recommend going!

Booked and paid for 2 appointments for both my girlfriend and I.I myself got an extended pain relief deep tissue massage with CBD oil and a scalp massage.She got a Swedish massage, foot therapy massage and the scalp treatment as well in addition to hot stones.Having tried the occasional pop-up locations in malls and even a local place (Cookeville) before that specifically focused on massages and leaving there in pain and feeling like, Meh. I admit I was a tad hesitant. Specially given the main area of this establishment is a storefront. We arrived to find this location doesnt only do massages and spa treatments but also sells soaps, candles, lotions and more. You can even make your own smells using oils and blends which was pretty cool.However when it came to the massage/spa, Suzanne & Bethany were patient, very communicative, asked details of previous injuries or where wed like for them to focus and more. Even down to how much pressure youd like. The experience itself was fantastic. Having some muscle injuries in the past she worked around and up to them. Used hot towels which felt amazing and loosened trouble areas up before working through it. I could literally feel the knots in my back fading with each pass.I can wholeheartedly say that I will happily make the 1hr 40m drive back down to Chattanooga should I want another massage.

Bethany was my massage therapist and she was wonderful! Debbie did my facial, and again, wonderful! This place is super clean, staff is friendly, prices are very reasonable and Ill definitely drive from GA once a month to come visit. They also have amazing, natural products for after care, like soap, toner, cleanser, etc. Im so glad I found this place!! ♡

As soon as we walked in the door to Good Fortune Soap, we were greeted and given water to drink. My Relaxation Swedish Massage & Tension Tamer has my body feeling better even days after the massage! The massage therapist was very kind and attentive. I enjoyed the hot towels, coals, essential oils, and peaceful music / sounds during the massage. Following the massage, my massage therapist was there to give me more water and instruct me to stay hydrated for the next few days as my body detoxes. She also let me know about areas of tightness / knots that could use more care. Thank you Good Fortune Soap for a wonderfully therapeutic experience!

The create your own fragrance bar was wonderful and I made the most delicious smelling candle. I also had a lovely facial that left my skin glowing. Would recommend

I had an amazing experience with a prenatal massage by Kesha, she was absolutely amazing. Then, my friend and I loved making our own scents for our husband’s beard oil and lotions. I will definitely be back and tell others about how great this place is. Also, just a bonus that every single staff member was the sweetest! Thank you for a great experience.

I just received a relaxation massage from Daniel and it was wonderful! He gave extra attention to the areas I told him I needed worked on. His technique was great and he intuitively found tight muscles that I didnt even mention. I added the heated mask to my massage for $5 and it really helped me to be able to turn my brain off (new mom here!). I love Good Fortune (I also work there) and will definitely rebook with Daniel.

I was so impressed by and grateful for my massage therapist, Bethany! I really appreciate that she took the time to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable. For me, it’s the little things like choosing an aroma, a warm towel around the neck, a scalp massage. I loved the cozy little room we were in with the fairy lights! It was so warm and comfy. I even dozed off during the foot scrub 😂 which I think is hilarious but it speaks to how RELAXING the whole experience was! I’ll definitely be back and will gladly recommend Good Fortune AND Bethany!

I had a wonderful time doing 2 make and takes and shopping in store! I got the cutest and most wonderful smelling soap! Also got an essentialoil necklace that I use as a car freshener; I used a fall scent that my daughter made there and get many compliments on the scent as well as the necklace. Also, I picked up a bottle of the Aches essential oil roll on and have shared it with my OR nurse coworkers who now want their own!

Always love when I can make it in for a massage from Molly! Both my husband and I see her and come all the way from Cleveland because she is so great! We also love the natural bug spray and oils!

I had a fabulous experience here! Suzanne was wonderful. I had the 60 minute Swedish massage and a 10 minute hot oil scalp massage added on. Suzanne was extremely professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job at taking my pain and stress away. I highly recommend this spa and Suzanne!

The pricing is the best in town and the massage I had here is easily the greatest massage Ive had yet. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. The place is clean and staff is so friendly. Visited here for the first time with a friend of mine. We were looking for something to do inside, that was different than just grabbing a bite to eat, or a drink. We were warmly greeted when we walked in & were immediately helped. We wanted to make a candle, and so they got us set up to do so. The whole experience of making your own custom candle was soooooo fun! LOTS of scents to choose from, and even a little guide with different combinations that pair well together. There are other things for you to make & take as well, and so I will be back! The lady who helped us make our candle was very nice and informative as well. My friend and I kept talking about how fun this was, and we couldn’t believe we haven’t been here sooner! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area! Would be a perfect date night, or a day out with a child (maybe 8 years old or older)/parent/grandparent, anyone! Be sure to make a reservation! Thanks again, I can’t wait to come back!!

Our daughter found this little place on a girls trip for her 30th Birthday! They did not disappoint at all! We did the make and take and we all made a candle. The staff are super nice and we really enjoyed our experience and chatting with them while we shopped and waited for our candle to set. Very affordable. They have different options to choose from for the make and take and we all chose a $20 candle. Parking is plenty and easy and it is easy to find. DEFINITELY recommend them and we will for sure visit them again when we are in the area again!

First, I want to say the spa is nice and the people who work there are nice. The reason for the low rating is because the services were not what we expected. I booked a 30 minute massage for me and a 30 minute foot massage for my husband. My massage was good but we both felt like we got shorted time. They came out and got us right at our scheduled time of 11:45. When I looked at the clock after my massage, it was 12:13. He didnt account for the time that it took to prepare for the massage and he ended early. My husband said the same thing about the time but also, his foot massage was mostly a foot scrub with about 3 minutes of massaging. It was not at all what he was expecting. We were in Chattanooga for my husbands birthday weekend and I thought the foot massage would be a nice treat for him but he was very disappointed.

Spa treatments (facial, prenatal massage and Swedish massage) were amazing along with the service and price. While we were waiting between services the spa had an apothecary where we created our own scents. The staff was amazing and very helpful when mixing our scents.

This was only my second massage ever and I didnt really think it was for me but my mind was changed with the deep tissue massage. I didnt know how much could be worked out and how much better I could feel. Id highly recommend going. Ill absolutely be going back.

My husband and I did a Make and Take for each other to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. They had lots of different products to choose from (not just your run of the mill soap or bath truffles to choose from). I made him an aftershave and he made me a roll on perfume. The staff was so helpful in explaining the whole process and helping us determine the right mix of smells to make unique scents for us! They convinced me to make an appointment for a facial a couple days later, which was very relaxing and educational. Their products felt so nice on my skin and I felt very good knowing exactly what was in them!We will definately be back next time we are in town!

(Sept of 2023) I was in town visiting family and had the BEST experience AGAIN. This time I had Bethany- Ahhhhmazing! If a deep tissue massage is your thing, then she’s your girl! I will definitely come back again!(Nov of 2022) My sister in law and I had THE BEST experience at Good Fortune Soap & Spa today. If I am ever visiting Chattanooga again, you will catch me there! Suzanne is absolutely AMAZING and I would 110% recommend her. My massage was legit the BEST massage I have ever had. Suzanne is top notch! My sister in law had Molly for her massage and she feels the same way about her! We both cannot stop talking about how professional, amazing, how both ladies listened to our needs and just how our overall experience was beyond this world. Y’all go check them out, you will not be disappointed!Side note - they also have the cutest soaps, lotion and goodies there is!

We came during a Bachelorette trip and it was fun! We had a great time and all the girls were really sweet and helpful!

I brought my husband here for the candle making event and he really enjoyed the process- from choosing the scent and mixing the oils for the wax. It was a fun first experience for both of us. Liz, Jennifer and all of the staff was nice and greeted you with genuine smiles. Their kindness went a long way with us. We are not from Chattanooga but will definitely be back to experience the beard oil making and the body lotion/soap making. Thank you again for adding a great moment for my husbands birthday!

This is a great space however, one employee named Angie was extremely rude and aggressive. She definitely made the store lose an excess of business. We drove up from Nashville, with 12 ladies, to experience what we thought would be a great, fun day out! Unfortunately, because the way some of ladies were treated, they chose to just sit in the car. Perhaps, a customer service workshop is needed for Angie. Do not patronize this place unless you want to be mistreated. Elizabeth and the others were amazing, but we won’t be back.

Came for a class with a bachelorette weekend! We love it and had an amazing time!!

This place is a must! My family and I stopped in hoping to make some custom items. While we didn’t have a reservation, the ladies were still able to accommodate us! The staff and the vibe is a 10! What an amazing way to spend time together and create a memory to take home from our trip.

I went in for a Swedish massage and hot oil scalp massage. Daniel was my masseuse and so very kind and did amazing. I am so relaxed and feeling amazing! The place is amazing and clean, the staff is very kind. Already rebooked.

Good Fortune Soap & Spa -  was able to snag the last available appointment for the day.  Oh my goodness,  the therapist was outstanding!  I also had to load up on delightful bath products after my massage.  The super friendly sales associate helped me with the retail & educated me on oils!

We celebrated Valentine’s early and Good Fortune did not disappoint. I had an oxygen facial with Melody and it was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable and kind. My husband had his first massage ever with Molly. Their store was so clean and filled with goodies I plan to buy online. It was such a nice treat.

Good Fortune Soap is my favorite place to get natural skin care and body care. All of their products are made in house and have all the ingredients listed on the label. I really feel like I can trust the quality of everything I buy there. All the staff (especially Macy) is so welcoming and professional, it feels like a home away from home. Dont miss out on making your own custom product at their fragrance bar!

I took my 14 year old daughter yesterday along with 4 friends as a birthday trip. They all absolutely loved getting to design their own scents and make the product of their choice. Macy was very professional and super kind. The only other person I dealt with was Chey/Shy (sp) on the phone who was also very helpful and friendly. We will be back for sure. Cant wait to use a spa treatment or their Airbnb for a grown up trip!

The ladies were so helpful and professional as mixologists with so many scents to discover. They had stations set apart and everything was super clean. I brought my two daughters, 11 and 15, and they were able to choose from a variety of products to make. We all had a great time creating our own personalized scents. Very cute shop selling some prepackaged things as well.

This past January, I went to Good Fortune to get a hot stone body massage - it was one of the top massage experiences Ive ever had. Today I returned to have my eyebrows waxed and tinted. This was hands down the best brow experience I have ever had. Rebekah Warner is a top esthetician with an eye for good brows. Everything about my experience was top-notch. I will never go anywhere else to have my brows done, and I will be a return customer for another massage soon. I cant say enough about this fabulous little hidden gem on Broad Street. Two thumbs up!!

I absolutely loved all the products used (especially the Vitamin C masque) and purchased 3 products based on my post-facial glowing skin.I will continue to be a repeat customer!

I absolutely will be back to make another candle and some body products. The whole process was a breeze thanks to the lovely ladies working there! They have a ton of great skin care products and a wide variety of essential oils in different forms for whatever you like to use then for. I was super excited to find out I could leave my own candle scent in their system and could reorder it anytime I needed it! You really have to visit!!!

We went for the make-and-take experience while we were in town and it was such an awesome, unique and fun thing for my 8-year-old to do. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had questions about a couple of the products in the store and they answered them but werent pushy or sales-y at all. I bought the sample skincare kit and loved it so much I actually ordered the full size products to be shipped to me out of state.

I got my first professional facial done here at Good Fortune and I can’t wait to go back! I got a Pumpkin Enzyme facial done by Katlyn Whipple and she did such an amazing job! She was informative, sweet, very professional, and overall a great esthetician. My skin feels so soft and refreshed, I cant wait to get my next facial! Also, the atmosphere at this spa is so relaxing and super clean! All of the ladies were welcoming and kind.

I love Good Fortune! Ive been seeing Carolyn regularly for more than a year for massage, she is fantastic. I love that their spa uses the natural products, which are also available for purchase in the store. I use the essential oils daily in a diffuser, I love the variety, but also the flexibility to mix to your liking. Ive also done a girls spa party here, we had a blast! I cant wait to schedule another. This is truly one of Chattanoogas gems!

We had a fun time stopping here on our anniversary trip! We made custom candles, picking out our own scents, mixing them & pouring the candle. I loved my scent so much I made it into an essential oil as well! It was a really fun experience that we would definitely do again!

This place truly has the worst organization and business practices I have ever seen. My appointments have been cancelled three times now. Once I was called three days before saying that they had messed up the calendar and the time I scheduled wasn’t even available. The second time I called them the day before to ask a question and the spa manager informed me that she had been meaning to call me and that the person they had scheduled me with had quit. So she would have to cancel. This time I had planned my whole Saturday around this appointment. I have been looking forward to it for over a month. I show up and she tells me that the lady I am booked with has started throwing up and they’ll have to cancel my appointment and it had just happened. That would be totally fine and believable if the business didn’t already have a history of cancelling. I just stood there a little shocked because no one had contacted me and the lady could tell I was a little irritated but I wasn’t going to engage. She continued with the excuse and sort of acted like I had no reason to be annoyed. I’m actually shocked this place has so many good reviews. Very unprofessional and disappointed with a service that I never had a chance to get

Absolutely perfect girls day!! We had the most fun during our candle making experience. Sarah was our associate helper and she was so much fun. She was so so patient with our group and was so willing to give us samples of what scent combos were “the one”. We ranted and raved the rest of our Chattanooga weekend how much fun we had and we could not wait to come back!

We stopped by for a candle making session picking out various aromas and having them blended and smelling before mixing our own aromas mixing them to our own sense of smell and blending into a candle. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere stop by and treat yourself to all they have to offer.

Loved making our scents. We came up with some pretty good smelling combos. Very clean and relaxing place, good energy. I made a oil and a roll on perfume and my guy made a oil. This place is also fun for couples bc they definitely have masculine scents and beard oils etc. Priced fairly and I was also glad that mask were required. Wasnt overly crowded either. Pleasant experience.

I have now had 3 deep tissue massages with Molly. Molly is a wonderful therapist, very professional and always sincerely concerned with how Im feeling both before and after the massage. Her technique has a smooth and soothing continuity to it. She is also very knowledgeable about physical anatomy, and shes shown me several exercises to help with some of my trouble spots. Ive left the spa after all three massages feeling so relaxed and re-energized, and I will continue to go back. The spa itself is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. Good Fortune indeed! Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a 90 minute massage, and we both agreed that we will go back. It was awesome! Molly gave me my massage, and it was probably the best massage I have ever had considering a massage I had in Vegas years ago, so my memory may be a little vague. She was very welcoming and listened to what I told her were my trouble areas to work on those the most. We left feeling good with a few purchases from their store. We were told of their B&B upstairs which we may just check out next time we are in Chattanooga. Go...you wont be disappointed!

I was gifted a prenatal massage from a friend at Good Fortune Soap & Spa .. let me tell you, it was fantastic! Theresa was my masseuse, and when I let her know of my troublesome spots, she really focused on them well. It was a lovely experience involving all the senses-- with the smells, sounds, and ambiance perfect for the occasion. I actually started to fall asleep at the end I was so relaxed! I am so thankful to have had this experience to relax and enjoy my body before the baby comes :)

The massage therapist was professional, kind, and skilled (the staff as a whole were friendly and helpful). One of my best massage experiences. I will definitely return.The store sells a variety of products: soaps, lotions, essential oils and more that are good quality and reasonably priced. I purchased the antioxidant face lotion and goats milk body lotion. Love them! Rich texture and very moisturizing. I especially appreciate that I can bring in the used bottles for refills rather than having to dispose of ones that are still perfectly useful. Really glad I discovered this place!

As a fun family bonding activity, my husband and two step-daughters scheduled some time to create our own scented body products. We had a blast! We felt well taken care of, and even though we spent about double the amount of time there than wed planned, we never felt rushed. The girls both made a product for themselves (the roll-ons) and lotions to take back to their bio-moms and my husband (paired with much embarrassment from his daughters) made a pink unicorn soap. There were lots of great scent and product choices and excellent guidance when we got stuck with the combinations. The icing on the cake was that because were from out of town and the products we made were not TSA compliant, they shipped them to our home for us - the products arrived a mere four days later! We were really pleased with our experience at Good Fortune and would recommend it for a variety of different combinations of people. The COVID compliance was an added, and comfortable feeling, touch.

Good Fortune Soap and Spa is one of my favorite places to recommend when I overhear anyone say anything about skin care.For starters, all of the products are made in house with natural ingredients. Everything smells great and works wonders. On top of being a great quality, it is a great price. Highly affordable. I also love that they take 10% off, if you bring the bottle back for a refill.On top of great products, they have great staff, specifically, Melody (the aesthetician). Throughout my life, I have had minor skin problems; never quite clear, but not bad enough that a dermatologist felt the need to intervene. Melody made it her mission to help me get perfectly clear skin for my wedding (and daily life too, but the wedding was out deadline). She took 3 or 4 months to get to know my skin. Recommending products, changing products, and regimens as necessary. She also followed up with my often to make sure that we were on track and that I wasnt slacking. I was floored by the thoughtfulness of said action, as well as her dedication to her craft.The first time I went in for a facial, I was super insecure; worried she would judge me for the quality of my skin. Quite the opposite. She made me feel wonderful and passed the time with ease and expertise. My mother also had a similar experience. She has fibromyalgia, which can easily flare up due to scents and massages. I told Melody of this beforehand and she studied up on everything, thus creating a wonderful experience.Overall, I would highly recommend Good Fortune! Their people, especially Melody, know what they are doing!

Loved it! Did the full package spa party for my friend’s bachorlette party. The girls helping us were really nice and super helpful. We had a blast picking out scents and getting the facial. The mini massage was very relaxing - not long enough but figured that would be the case. Would definitely recommend - especially if you’re staying in the hotel upstairs (which was also great).

We did a spa party for a bachelorette weekend and had an absolute blast. I cannot recommend enough! Such a fun atmosphere. We stayed in the Airbnb upstairs and it was so nice just to walk downstairs after the shop closed.They had fun music playing and the two girls working the party could not have been any sweeter. First we smelt scents and wrote down our top 3 to make a product of our choice. They even have some suggestions if you are worried about getting it wrong. But the girls were really helpful letting us know what would and wouldnt work.Then we did facials and tried a bunch of different products and did eye masks. Everyone had a blast and we all wanted to purchase additional products as well. I really like that nothing was a sales pitch and you didnt feel any pressure to buy anything it was just a fun party, but their products are amazing so you want to buy everything!

Got a facial here a couple of days ago, and I can honestly say it was amazing. My skin was being pretty problematic, but the esthetician knew her stuff and gave me short term and long term remedies. She recommended products that have really helped my skin after the facial, and during the service she talked me through every step. She asked allot of questions about my skin goals, and educated me about my skin type and how to achieve my goals as an individual. She also made me feel confident and comfortable. She never made me feel as if I had “bad skin”. 10/10 from start to finish. Would recommend anyone!

They have handmade vegan soaps, Naive deodorant, and Jade or Rose Quartz face rollers. The lotion has goats milk in it. So I didnt buy anything of that. I was hoping for shampoo and conditioner bars. They create customize scents. I was thankful for the vegan soap which was naked and had no packaging. The bag was paper. Thankful for low waste options. I was looking for a Lush alternative as there is not one in the area. It is a nice shop and the staff were friendly and helpful. Update 1/7/20- The apple lavender soap smells great, lathers well and does not dry out the skin.

Highly recommend! At 36 weeks pregnant, I received a 90 min prenatal massage and hot oil hair treatment from Molly... she did amazing! I don’t think I’ve been that relaxed in months; I may have even snored at one point. The atmosphere is very sleek, welcoming, and calming. I’ve already prepaid for another massage and I’m so looking forward to getting back there.

The results were stellar, but my esthetician was the best part of the appointment. Rebekah was welcoming, friendly, and she may be the kindest spirit Ive met it quite some time. Kudos to Good Fortune attracting this kind of talent and for being a gem in Chattanooga.

I was gifted a Swedish massage at Good Fortune Soap recently, and it was a wonderful experience! The massage therapist, Molly, was welcoming, kind and very knowledgeable. The massage itself was fantastic, and Molly even suggested some stretches to help alleviate tightness that I have. I felt very pampered and relaxed, and I cant wait to return. I didnt get a chance to visit the shop portion during this trip, but I hope to next time.

I am not good with photos. Brought my 21 y.o. for her birthday. (Children are welcome also, its a calm activity (IMO, dont bring your child unless youre confident they can be patient and careful) The store is very clean. The associates are professional and practice CDC guidelines. Creating the mixture of my own scented blend was pleasing beyond description. The scentologist (my word, not theirs) was helpful by asking me questions so I could get my blend just right. I would like to see more signage regarding the issues each essential oil helps with. It is a bit costly but a satisfying experience to smell the aromas and mix them just right...like an evil genius. We were each given a blank label to name our unique creations. I Will likely return the next time i visit Chattanooga. The soaps seem the most fun to make with available mini frogs, fish, ducks, glitter.

What a find!!! The first visit was a make and take with all the kids! At that time I also had a 30 min facial thanks to my daughter... needless to say my next facial was an hour long and I have just booked another! Wonderful place and great ladies throughout!! Im tempted now to try the accommodations that are apparently above the store... keep you posted on that little getaway!

My wife bought me a massage at Good Fortune and it was the best spa experience I have ever had. Their spa products are top quality and staff very professional. Beard oils, scented oils, candles and other products are a great gift idea.

Had a great time mixing scents and making soap. You might think its for children only but my husband and I had a great time! He even chose the unicorn molds that lovingly called Alfred. The staff is very engaging and kind. They made the whole experience top notch!

I cannot say enough good things about Good Fortune Soap. I discovered this place while driving around on my lunch break one day. Since then I have customized three lotion bars, two body oils, and a goat’s milk lotion, in addition to all of the essential oils and other products and accessories I have purchased. (Keep in mind I just happened upon this place a little over a month ago.) I have searched for the perfect remedy for my dry hands and especially my dry cuticles. These three product types have truly been game changers. As a cosmetics chemist, I 100% back these products and their effectiveness. The ingredients are superb and the effectiveness of the products are unrivaled. I’ve tried every hand cream from low price points to very high and nothing has compared to these products.Onto my next experience...I have received three facials now. The first was what I would call an “introduction facial”. The in-house products used on me were fantastic and I’m pretty sure I’ve purchased and am using every skin care product they carry. My second facial was the “light peel”. Melody, the aesthetician, is so knowledgeable and amazing. My light peel was the perfect introduction into chemical peels. She applied it so flawlessly that I had zero redness, tightness, or peeling. Yesterday I got my third facial, the “big daddy” Clinical Strength Chemical Peel. I know it’s been less than 24 hours but I can already tell Melody did a wonderful job. She intuitively knows just the right amount of time to leave products on your face to make them both effective and as gentle as possible. I feel no tightness, redness, peeling, etc. This young lady knows her stuff. She is phenomenal!!Now for my third experience at Good Fortune Soap. I have major sciatic pain. Last week it was extremely flared up and I couldn’t lessen the pain no mater what I tried. I decided to book a Deep Tissue Massage with Suzanne. When I tell you this wonderful woman all but healed me, I mean it. She worked out EVERY muscle knot in my back in ONE SESSION!! I used to have to get trigger point injections into these types of knots twice a week for several months before they would be worked out. I don’t know how she did it but she smoothed out all of my knots in one session AND I left there with no lower back pain and haven’t had any since then. Suzanne has no idea how much she helped me that day. She is truly a godsend!!I absolutely love everything about Good Fortune Soap and the services offered. I will forever be a loyal customer not only for the products they carry but also for Melody and Suzanne and Jennifer. Every one of the ladies that works there has truly made a difference in my life and I will forever be grateful for discovering this beautiful oasis. Soap, candles and the Salon services are outstanding.I was greeted with smiles and my procedures from Keri were the best ever experience Ive had. Keri listened on my requests and fully completed them.The sales person was also cheery and helpful when I picked up some unique peppermint shaving balm and a brush.Okay my 2nd visit was around July 20th, another fantastic experience. Keri does a terrific job on my facial waxing. I looked like a model when I looked in the mirror. Eyes, ears and face perfect. I knew of this place when I lived in Chattanooga, but never went in. When I was diagnosed with cancer, a good friend of mine sent me their grapefruit/orange soap. This was the only scented soap I could use during my 6 months of treatment! The smell actually soothed my nausea from the chemo and didnt irritate my super-sensitive sense of smell. I would recommend that anyone try this place, but I definitely recommend it as a gift for anyone going through a similar situation as mine!

Did a candle-making girls day here and had a blast mixing/matching scents and listening to the Mixologist give her advice (which was very appreciated). They clearly have a lot of knowledge about scents and undertones and what goes well together. Great fun!

Maria Gudkov was my esthetician and did my express 30min facial and dermaplaning! My skin is super sensitive and gets red very easily so I wasn’t sure about dermallaning at first, but Maria did an amazing job and when I left I had no irritation and my skin was glowing! It is now the second day and my makeup went on so smooth and my skin is still glowing. She’s the best!

I always enjoy my visits to Good Fortune! The staff is so friendly. I’ve had several massages there and I’ve never been disappointed. A friend of mine had a bachelorette/spa event there a couple years ago and that was also really fun! I highly recommend this place!

The shop smells great and the cashier/clerk was very nice. I have had two massages with Molly and I leave feeling refreshed and happy.

I booked three appointments, and inquired about a fourth, a massage, a facial, brow wax add on, and a make and take appointment. I booked all of these because it was my BIRTHDAY and I wanted to treat myself to a full spa day (if theyd offered manicures and pedicures I wouldve booked those appointments too, but I had to get those done elsewhere). Well, it had been THREATENING to rain all week, but hadnt yet brought the rain that was being predicted on the local forecasts. On my birthday, right before the appointments, it started to pour. Literally a torrential downpour. Due to my own PTSD dealing with TWO recent car wrecks that happened in the rain, I was not keen on travelling in the rain. I asked to reschedule, to which the manager and rep declined and then insisted on charging me cancellation fees, even though when they sent me info on cancellation fees ans exceptions, I did certainly fit into the exceptions! Im disappointed that this spot poses to be focused on holistic healing but FAILS to have any consideration for MENTAL HEALTH. I wouldve rescheduled my appointments for another day, but because they continued to pressure me and compare other customers who made it to their appointments in the downpour to me and my personal situation, I just decided to book elsewhere. Lovely staff, loved the services the first time I went, but very disappointed in how they handled that situation. I understand how booking and cancellations work, but there was no way I was going to risk wrecking my car again in the rain or having a panic attack trying to get a massage and I hate that they were inconsiderate of that and charged me cancellation fees for inclement weather that was completely out of my control.Edit::: The response from the owner is interesting. How could I foresee that it would actually rain if the entire week it had been predicted that it would rain each day (and then didnt) and it just so happened to actually rain on my birthday??? Im not a weatherman. It was out of my control, as it was yours. Your response and how you handled that situation most definitely was in your control however, and my review is valid as was my request to reschedule, not cancel. But hey, what do I know? #MentalHealthMatters

Wonderful selection and knowledgeable staff. Parking in back. Can have them mix whatever essential oils you want, pre-made blends, and pure oils in roller (plastic roller) or dropper bottles. Great prices. Theraputic grade. Was my first experience.

I have one word for this place: AMAZING!!!!!! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Admittedly, I was skeptical when Jennifer suggested the Ashiatsu message but I went for it & WOW!! Great experience! Did I say AMAZING?!?! The facial was not to be missed! I will be back & will be telling all my friends - Dont come to Chattanooga without going to Good Fortune Soap & Spa! When they do....Ill be going along!

Paula has an innovative approach and its excellent. I suffer from chronic neck pain and felt great after the Pain Relief Deep Tissue Massage. I will go back for sure.

Something for everyone. Such a great place to go relax in the spa, purchase some amazingly scented and reasonably priced beauty care products and create your own soaps, candles, bath fizzys and more! Beyond thrilled with the quality of products and an incredible staff.

Went and got express facial and massage. Molly and Melanie were awesome. I just dont know how to put it into words how great it was. Just go check it out, and experience it for yourself, and you will see what I mean.

We did the candle making and had a blast! The scents are amazing. Highly recommend!

Maci is one of the BEST employees Ive ever seen! She gave us detailed information about every product we were looking for - and on ones we didnt even know they HAD! She told us about a VRBO/AirBNB place connected to the store. And the store is LITERALLY the best smelling place on earth! Big fans.

This is my favorite place in town to get a massage. The staff all go above and beyond to give exactly the service you’re looking for! I recently had a massage from Molly, and I would highly recommend her! I have heard the others are superb as well.

Emily or Emmylou, recently gave me bath soap bombs and fragrance as a gift from job. It smells wonderful but broke out my skin. I have a rash on my arm and rashes up my leg. I will not be using these products any more.

Local soaps and lotions. You can be have your own concoction of essential oils mixed in their base lotions on the spot for your own designed scent.

Had such an amazing time here. Seriously if you love scents and essential oils check this place out. The manger Angie and employees Macie and Sarah, were all so knowledgeable and helpful!!!

I had a prenatal massage yesterday with Molly and it was very relaxing! The environment and staff was very nice. I’m definitely planning to go again soon and I highly recommend Molly.

Im pregnant, and Ive had a cold for a month. I scheduled a prenatal massage with the sinus add in, and my masseuse really helped to open up my sinuses. I can breathe again! I bought some products that Im excited to use, too.

This is my 2 clinical strength peel. I can see results in my skin already. Its the only peel treatment that really gives me peeling results. My skin feels really good! Go see Heather, she does great skincare and peels.

Front desk person, so rude.Got a massage from them, the massage therapist kept coughing and using same hand to cover her mouth to rub my back, super unsanitary. my 60 minute massage turned into a 30 minute massage.Do not recommend it AT ALL.

This place has some really novel stuff. Our favorite is their goat milk lotion. The fragrances are really potent and smell great to boot. Will need to try the spa out one day.

The ladies were very nice and accommodating.The massage itself was alright for a small spa,but I’ve definitely experienced a better spa experience overall.A lot of the techniques performed were not performed in symmetry on both sides of the body.Nor, did I receive the full 50 minutes of the service that I paid for.I did leave a tip out of courtesy.

I had a great massage followed by a fantastic facial. I left feeling like a new person. Everyone is very knowledgeable and welcoming. I love this place!
