Stopped in on a Monday night. Some of the strongest drinks I’ve had in a while. If you’re into that, this could be the place for you!They’ve got a great back patio area and had great prices too. It was fun to watch Monsters Inc while enjoying being on the back patio. Another patron stopped and complimented me on my jacket, which was nice. It seemed like everyone was really nice making for a fun atmosphere.

Great little dive bar. Its cash only, but that being said, great relaxed atmosphere. Its easy to sit and mind your business, or engage in good conversations. The bartenders are friendly and fun to talk too, as well as the rest of the patrons.

A great little gay dive bar. Good prices on drinks and great bartenders. My only complaint is the music. I feel like on Saturday nights someone hijacks the jukebox, and we are stuck listening to the same music over and over again. Also one suggestion, you have all these televisions. Play something fun on there other than the news or sports.

As a small woman I never felt welcome here. First time I came her some guy but me on my neck and went and bit some one else. Had a great bonding experience not at this bar over that. Second time I was here there was so much drama and I was carrying the fem. Third time they refuse to serve me. Its two pm on my day off. Im industry. Honey you are a cash bar and good luck.

Stopped in to check out this bar. The bartender Paul was so rude and nasty. Such a disappointment. Andersonville it is.

Great little local gay bar. Bartenders are friendly, drinks are strong and the clientele are diverse. There is a cute little patio out back partially covered making it a cozy place to have your cocktail during a rainstorm.

The saving grace here is cost. Everything is cheap.The back patio smells like a pack a day smoker has been back there for 70 years. Im not sure how theyve managed to keep the smell of cigarettes in when you are outside, but they have.I always make a trip here once a year to remind myself of why I dont frequent it.

Local dive gay bar with an outdoor deck in back where they allow smoking. Cheap but strong drinks. Unless you like a shot with a splash of mixer served in a beer mug full of ice - youre drinking almost total booze - youre best off sticking to beer. Jukebox, regular crowd who all seem to know each other and can get clique-y.

Best little hole in the wall in town. Well-made drinks, friendly bartenders, and they’re not high priced. Cash only but there’s an atm, and make sure you’re not loud when you’re out back.

Everytime I go to this establishment I enjoy it. Great bartender. There is a manager there though that likes to make the patrons uncomfortable even when he isnt on the clock just ignore him.

As I walked into this fine establishment after a long night of work, an employee denied me service because he didnt like my attitude. So Mike Basso, or however you spell your name, I want to thank you for denying me your business because if I am going to be treated in the way that you treated me, I do not plan on coming back or referring any of my friends and or colleagues to your place of business. I was hoping for a beautiful night where I could feel comfortable with my LGBTQ family, but apparently, this is not the place to do that. Anyone who wishes to find a place to feel warm, and at home with their LGBTQ family, I do not recommend this place of business. Look elsewhere. A place where everyone is welcome. Not a place where people are still judged and looked down upon on how they may look. The Granville Anvil seems to not be a place of inclusion, and of love.

The patio may be in the running for worlds largest ashtray. The inside is still a monumental collection of various tragedies no one wants to hear about. 🤮

My fav neighborhood hangout. The bartenders are HILARIOUS . Also easy on the eyes. The community folks are always around for good conversation. LOVE THE NEW PATIO!

What can I say, Best Bartendars, Steve and Chandler are the best of the best in the evening, Ron in the morning. Best days to party is defintely on Sunday. If a tall black friendly guy name Mark is there, he gets the jukebox jumping and the party going with old school 70, 80 90 gay dance music , Donna, Diana, Aretha,Martha Wash.lolMy buddies & I Had soo much fun with him and the crowd.Drinks are cheap, crowd is fun and loud.Patio, relaxing. Crowd is great mixture, gay, straight, male/female, all ages. Best gay bar where all are welcome

Not your average gay bar, this place has an authentic and fun vibe where everyone seems welcome. Diverse clientel and fun atmosphere makes this seemingly dicey bar something very special.

I love the atmosphere, day and night. Lovely people, nice owners, great jukebox. I have been coming here for years off and on when I am in Chicago.

Theyve the cheapest drinks anywhere. Nice back outside space. Sometimes gets crowded in narrow space. Often has mature gay patrons.

I don’t get the chance to see everything great or bad in that place because the bartender was so mean to mean the min I walk in after that all I wanted to do is to finish my drink and leave I was so exited to see the place I heard a lot about it but that’s what I saw

Yeah. dont bother. i stopped in just to have a drink. within 20 mins the bartender working made 2 nasty, c@ntie comment to and about me. sad.
