Splash Chicago

Came on a Sunday drag brunch and it was a crazy experience. We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday and she very much enjoyed herself.

This place mistook me for some other brown guy and didn’t let me in. Terribly racist service and I hope they pull up the cameras because it will only prove my point. For some reason I wasn’t let in, and when my friends asked why, the bouncer actually mistook me for some other person. My friends even asked what I could do to “sober up” and the bouncer responded “I’m not the opps.”

At the end of the night I was looking for my phone, and a bouncer told me yeah, someone is stealing phones tonight, like it was a casual thing.

Most aggressive last call I have ever experienced. 15 minutes before the bar closed and the staff was barking orders at patrons to get out. Last time I checked the bar hours said 2am. I understand needing to get people out but they were doing way too much.

I see the other reviews have problems with specific people at the bar and while thats not my experience, I have also not had those people be at the bar while I was there. I had no problem getting in but that could also be because the bar was empty on a friday night. The drink were a little overpriced and the vibe was just a little sad. fish tanks are cool tho.

13 bucks for a tiny dixie cup of titos and red bull. Go to Cell Block or Sidetrack to not get gouged.

$14 for 1 drink. This was not a top shelf liquor. 1st and last.

Pretty rude place. So if they see you are drunk they sell you the Liquid Death water cans instrad of a regular water bottle. In that way when you are trying to get out of the bar they can take your cans and pretend they are beer when is just water. They have been doing this with friends for months.

Loved the vibe, reminded me of a gay bar back home. Got a drink, went to the dance floor, and something crawled up somebody’s a**hole and died. Fart so repulsive we left. I’ll probably be back though.

Tonight we were bullied in a place I thought would be safe being a queer woman. If you are a LGBTQ+ woman like me I would not recommend going here because you will be immediately called out for not being queer enough by Mimi to the crowd as a whole. If you are going to have a drag show you should probably accept that the people giving you money want to be there to support you, even if they don’t fit your antiquated view of lesbian women. We will never be back.

Not sure what the female bouncers problem is, but each time I take a different group of friends there, she finds a reason to deny one or many of them entry. She never has a reason, but has taken some of their IDs hostage, although we are well past the drinking age. Having to call the police each time you go to Splash just to get an ID back from someone holding it above your head isnt the move. Find a new bouncer. #RIPSplash

56 Female Bouncer is HORRIBLE and needs to be FIRED. Been to Splash multiple times. Couple weeks ago I tried to go with friends and she took my ID thinking is was fake because I couldnt remember my address. Sorry for living in a military family most my life and moving around a lot, Im not gonna remember the 20 different addresses that I have had. Had to call the cops to get it back and now she wont let me in whenever I try. DO NOT GO TO SPLASH. Its been empty ever since she started working there anyway.

FIRE YOUR BOUNCER! Bouncers are HORRIBLE. They took my REAL ID made me have to call the cops to get it back. Then when I tried to go to Splash again a couple weeks later the same bouncer denied me entry but would let all my friend in. We all went to a different club in Boystown where the bouncer are smart and know what a real ID looks like.

I enjoyed my visit to Splash. Some friends took me as a welcome to Chicago gay life Sunday-fun day. Everyone in the bar was friendly and outgoing, the bar staff are approachable and kind, and the clientele are outgoing. You should definitely make Splash a must-do.

So excited to have a new bar in boystown! Great vibe and super friendly staff! And they are committed to not using any plastic. Only paper straws and boxed water! Super cool!

I love this bar, it’s my favorite place in boystown. The music is amazing, the drinks are strong, there’s no cover… I could go on and on… but PLEASE PLEASE fix your air conditioning! It gets SOOooOooOoO hot during the summer! Please & thank you

Great staff and fun atmosphere. Layout is a U shape so really easy to get around with the flow of people. Love coming here to have a great time and dance it out.

Cute, but Im sorry the guys really can not dance. The proportion of upturned noses to naturally angled is a bell curve nightmare... try being fabulous... and loving, kind, radiant, a joy...

Great place to drink and dance! Go see Ron especially. He pours strong drinks and has a magnificent color changing mohawk. Super friendly staff all around, but hes the best!

Me a blk man with 3 other brown ppl went into this bar completely empty with the exception of 4 pp at the bar.. I went to tht bar to order and the bartender ignored me for 4 min.. Now I know that doesnt seem like a long time buts its seems like forever when he clearly made eye contact with you and wasnt serving anyone else.. Just standing there talking .. This was the 15th of August around 2:00... Not saying this guy is racist but definitely saying he didnt give a fuk about my business.. I couldnt helpt but take it personal... My friends eventually said no lets go dont spendd your money here ...

My friend was trying to stay inside for 8 min to wait for her uber becsubeshe didnt have a coat and one of the guys literally kicked her out of the place not even caring she was super cold. Shame on this customer service interaction. I will personally never go back to this place because the horrible service.

Love love love the newest addition to boystown. Hottest bartenders and the dance floor in the back is such a great place to be on a Friday/Saturday night.

The atmosphere here is unbeatable, the staff are incredible and the vibe is just perfect! Will 110% be returning for more amazing cocktails :-)

Very nice and clean place ti mingle and meet people. Great atmosphere. Staff and Mgm are Ll very kind as well.

I got kicked out for no reason and was not drunk yet was accused by the staff of being too drunk yet they couldn’t prove or give me reasoning of why i had to leave

The chubby bartender on Jan 4th was sarcastic and rude.

The new management and the head of the security are unprofessional, rude follow with no manners to carry a conversation.
