I just had the best deep tissue massage from Ariela! She was amazing. I came in with sciatic pain and in desperate need of pain relief. Ariela was knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire massage. After the massage, she gave me some tips on how to help relieve some of the tightness in my hips. I truly appreciated the time and energy she put into making me feel better. Aesthetically, The Now is IG worthy! It’s tranquil and smells heavenly. I loved the message so much I got the membership. I really really enjoyed my 1st massage in years. It’s been right at 10 years due to the therapist being so rough. Robyn got the toughest kinks from my shoulder/back with a lot of gentle effort. I had an great experience with Robyn, the massage therapist, and Efren at the front desk. Robyn made sure I was comfortable with the pressure throughout the session. Her technique is both soothing and effective, leaving me feeling relaxed. Efren was welcoming and efficient, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and pleasant.

Robyn was great! Very relaxing, she put me to sleep several time! She also does really good deep tissue work and I like that she uses essential oils and use a heated table. Highly recommend her for men and women!

Came here for my birthday and tried the 50min massage. I had Robyn who was really kind and amazing. She was super receptive to which areas of my back were bothering me and ended up going above and beyond (especially since it was only 50min). I’ve been getting massages at the NOW for several months and I can’t speak highly enough of the overall experience… but you HAVE to go to Margarita! (I’m sure the rest of the therapists are great too though!) My massage with Margarita is one of the highlights of my month. Her technique is amazing - soothing, melts away my knots, and makes me forget about all the stressors for those 80 minutes. She’s amazing! Go to the NOW and ask for Margarita!

I was visiting from out of town and had an awful kink in my neck with limited mobility and severe pain in my shoulders from traveling. 80 minute relaxer massage fixed me right up! I love this place!! Been coming here for a few months and each time the massage therapist is excellent. I highly recommend getting the monthly membership and adding on deep tissue or hemp balm when you go. Also Cam was a great, will definitely be booking him again!

I have always had a wonderful experience at The Now Massage, but had to write a review after getting a massage with Robyn yesterday! I will admit that my massage preferences are a bit nuanced - I like deep tissue, but have a bit of an aversion to the way certain masseuses use a lot of elbows and other poky body parts to do deep tissue. Robyn used exactly the right pressure and techniques and was very open to making the experience as personalized as it could be. I left feeling sooooo very relaxed.I also want to give a huge shout out to the management, as well. Effrin at the front desk is so lovely and kind, and Ive also had great experiences working with Mike as well - its clear that they both care deeply about their customers.Lastly, its probably evident from the photos that this place is not your run of the mill massage space. Rather, the Tulum vibes will instantly make you feel like you have stepped into another world where you can leave any stress behind you. I LOVE the ocean sounds that they play during your massage which for me, is far more relaxing than the alternative at other places (silence or other soft music) as it instantly transports to me to my mental happy place on the beach.I cant recommend this place enough and as a longtime South Loop resident, Im so thankful to have them in the neighborhood!

Robyn is amazing! All I told her was that I had some tension in my neck and thats all I wanted her to focus on. And she truly listened to me. Not only did she work on my knots but she found tension I had in my back and worked that out too! She is seriously so good at what she does. I came out feeling so so good after 🥰

I’ve had a massage at this location twice and both times it was a great experience. Since I had a good experience, I decided to purchase a surprise Father’s Day massage for my boyfriend. I put in the notes of my booking that this massage was for my boyfriend, however, when we got there we were met with hostility. His masseuse, Margarita, acted like she didn’t want to take him back. She said it right in front of us with an attitude, “I thought I was massaging her (me)”. Which made my boyfriend very uncomfortable and he couldn’t enjoy his massage. If you’re going to touch someone and massage them at least you can do is create a welcoming environment. I feel bad because what was supposed to be a surprise gift turned into an awkward situation where he felt uncomfortable the entire time.

I’m training for a weightlifting competition, and I needed a sports massage to help stretch out and massage some tight and sore muscles. I met with Robyn, and she did an amazing job. She listened to my needs and targeted exactly what I asked for. Highly recommend!

This was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had…and I am someone who gets regular massages. I had 25 minute appointment scheduled for 4pm last weekend and I arrived at 4:03pm. When I got there, my misuse was so rude and stressed me out! She was like you’re late and we don’t have much time, and you need to get undressed quickly. I was so stressed and didn’t even feel like I could go use the bathroom. I felt like I was going to a doctor’s appointment, not a massage. It was SO BAD!

I have been coming here for the last ~2 years and they are amazing. Beautiful and relaxing environment and the massage therapists are all great. Robyn is the best!!!

I had an massage at The Now Massage in the South Loop. I was really looking forward to this visit as I am in the healthcare field and its been some very long and hard hours. So I finally decided to treat myself. I booked an 80min massage with the deep tissue and hemp oil add on which came to a total of 185 which is more then I ever paid for an massage, but I figured hey why not. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed with the entire experience my masseuse was Herschel. First off he spent majority of my massage stretching me which is crazy because I didnt come to be stretched and the stretching was a joke. I told him the areas that were really hurting me and he spent minimal time on those places. He did not provided enough oil so the massage was ruff at times not smooth like a massage should be. I felt like it was a total waste of my time. I never received any deep tissue in the areas that I told him I needed the most. Ive had plenty of massages before and I never left feeling worst then when I came. Needless to say instead of feeling relaxed I left tighter and stiffer then when I came in. When my masseuse asked me how was the massage, I let him know that I was still really stiff and I actually feel the same if not worse then when I came in. His response was oh did you have an accident because I see some marks on your shoulder and that might have been the issue, I said no Im just top heavy but there was nothing on my neck or back which were two of the areas that I wanted him to focus on. Then he went on to suggest another add on for next time like I would ever let him put his hands on me again. Since the massage Ive been in so much pain and Ive been taking 600mg ibuprofen almost everyday and I have to use my massage gun just to get some type of relief and an ok nights sleep which is insane to me. I was sent an email to do a review I did but, no one has contacted me horrible customer service. If I couldve given no stars I would have. THIS WAS BY FAR THEE WORST EXPERIENCE AND MOST EXPENSIVE MASSAGE IVE EVER HAD AND I LEFT FEELING HORRIBLE. A PROFESSIONAL SHOULD BE ABLE TO STAND BY THERE WORK!!Update: After posting the above review yesterday the manager(Evelyn) got back to me immediately and I was very grateful for that. The manager(Evelyn) was beyond pleasant, understanding, remorseful and compassionate about the things that took place during my visit. She let me explain what happened and they thoroughly listened and took exceptionally great care of me on the phone. I was refunded for my entire visit which was amazing and I received an complimentary massage with one of their top masseuse. This was hands down some of thee best customer service that I have received in a long time and Im beyond grateful for that. I really appreciate her going above and beyond to turn my experience around, that meant a lot to me. I will be making my appointment for next weekend. Stay tuned Im excited about my appointment pray fully its everything Ive been waiting for. Again Evelyn thank you for your amazing care and customer service it did not go unnoticed!!!!

Robyn C. is AMAZING!!! She was able to perfectly interpret what level of pressure I needed based on the explanation of my issues. She addressed all the problem areas in such a way that she broke down the knots but distributed the pressure so well that it didnt hurt--at all. Like, at all. It was AWESOME.

I’ve had a monthly membership at The Now since 2021 and my 80 minute massage is one of my favorite self-care rituals. I’ve seen several of the massage therapists but Robyn is the best by far! She always takes excellent care of me. She communicates well to ensure I’m comfortable and any problem areas are addressed. I always leave feeling relaxed and ready for a nap! Definitely worth the investment if you’re looking to upgrade your self-care routine.

The ambiance was great and the employees were kind and attentive. Though, I was not satisfied with the service that I received. I booked a 55 minute prenatal massage and the massage only lasted about 45 minutes tops. I was surprised when I checked my phone to see that we ended earlier than paid for, but I let it go. The massage was relaxing, but not as great as a massage I have gotten elsewhere. The pressure was not there, and my neck and arms were completely avoided during the massage, which I found odd since prenatal should include everything except the belly. For $135, I expected more. It’s not worth it, and there are many places for half the price with the same, if not better and longer service.

Ariela provided the best massage I have ever had. I highly recommend NOW and especially Ariela. I did the 80 minute with gua sha.

During pregnancy they were able to offer a specialist on prenatal massages and it was fantastic!I’ll say that it takes a couple of massages to find the perfect massage therapist for you. Robyn was absolutely fantastic today. She listened to what I said was sore and uncomfortable and approached each area perfectly. The muscles between my back ribs get sticky and painful. I had a 50 minute massage with Robyn with the deep tissue enhancement. I was post Chicago Marathon and had a lot of soreness in my legs. Robyn was great about checking in with me on how things were feeling and adjusted accordingly. Just had the most wonderful massage with Robyn at the South Loop location. I have been struggling with TMJ, neck, and shoulder pain and she was a god send. Will absolutely be scheduling with her for my next massage!Update: I had booked (2 )50 minute massages for myself and my partner for our anniversary. The membership I have allows me to bring a guest with my credits. They tried to tell me at the time of the massage that I couldn’t use my credit for my guest and had to pay again out of pocket. After they argued back and forth with me and called a different location they realized they were wrong. However, they cut our massage times short to only 35 minutes for a 50 minute massage!!! I was so disappointed that I called the Now and left my phone number. I was told I’d receive a call back from the Now South Loop location and they never called me. Very disappointing.

Great experience at the NOW, great costumer service, ambience, and staff ensured environment was quiet. Great availability and my masseuse Robyn checked in to make sure problems spots were addressed and gave me probably the best lower back massage I’ve had.

I got the best massage here. I felt like I am in mothers womb. So good. They have air purifier in each room, and my sinuses was relived for the first time.Update from my last review. If you are about to cancel your membership and give them 30 days notice they will still charge you with the last payment. This corporate practice is very unfortunate and makes the whole experience very unpleasant. Just dont sign up for their membership.

His recommendations really helped! Membership is the biggest no-brained. Also shoutout to Daniel and Michael who’ve helped me in the past. Love this place. I’ve been getting monthly massages for a while and have had Tey, Cam and a woman whose name I forget all as therapists and they were all incredible! I’ve legit never heard noise from another room and like that they have wave sounds vs. terrible elevator music like most places. I did end up canceling my membership only because I can’t go every month now, but doing so was so easy. One phone call and a confirmation email and it was done.I will say that I had my last monthly massage today and it was the worst of the massages I’ve had there. The therapist didn’t ask for my pressure preference and was extremely light touched. I also felt like it was the same generic motion on my back over and over with way too much oil. I had to use the bed sheet to wipe down after and my back actually hurt more than it did going in.

This place was phenomenal! I get massages done often, especially while on vacation and we saw this place when searching. There was two people at the front desk that were very welcoming and quick to make sure we were acknowledged. My massage therapist was very nice and explained throughly what my session would consist of. I got the 50 minute healer massage and added on the scalp renewal, the scalp renewal is absolutely worth adding on. I will of course be back for another massage in the future.

What a great experience I had.From the moment of booking, the receptionist Carly and the waiting room they set the expectations very high.I then was introduced to Danny my therapist and I must say it was one of the best, if not the best massages I ever had. He focused on the areas I needed the most and kept the perfect pressure throughout the massage. I also loved how respectfully the massage session was. At the end he gave me some tips on how and what to stretch to improve areas where he felt I was most tense.I really appreciate the place the staff and not only will come back but would recommend.

I REALLYY wanted to like this place. The therapists are sweet. But everyone else who works their is so terrible. Whatever you do. Do NOT sign up for their membership they market it to you so sweet and easy until you try and cancel.Just read the previous reviews of the membership. Spare yourself the headache. Again the massage therapists are sweet.Everyone else shouldn’t be working in customer service. Just read the reviews and don’t be fooled by the old reviews when they used to be good before they started taking advantage of people. Don’t be fooled for the higher rating with old reviews.

I had Robyn for the first time and she was AMAZING! Only got a 25 minute and that was heavenly so I’m definitely coming back for a longer session. Everything I needed, her hands are magic!

Robyn was fantastic. Did a good job asking where to focus and gave some much needed attention to my shoulders and calves that were fairly tight. Felt a lot more limber and at ease afterwards.

Margarita provided excellent service and even gave tips afterward to help improve the areas where I held a lot of tension.

This was my first time at this massage boutique. I made my appointment online and check in and check out was easy & quick. The setup is cute. My massage therapist was nice and informative about the process. She made me feel comfortable and did a great job meeting my needs based on our conversation about what I wanted. I gave 4 stars because my massage started a little later than my appointment time but that was not adjusted for.

This is the review I posted 3 weeks ago. They said they would reach out to me and they never did:I was quite disappointed with my massage. While the place and ambiance was wonderful, my massage felt useless. I added on deep tissue and told the masseuse that I would like a 6 on a pressure scale of 1-6 due to pain I was having and it was the lightest massage I have ever received. It was never apparent that there was any deep tissue work done. It also started late and finished early.Edit: the email I used was a different one when booking.

I love all the Now Massage locations but this one is my favorite! The staff is so friendly, the vibe is amazing, and my massage was incredible. I added a gua sha enhancement, which Ive never seen at other massage places. Loved it! I signed up for their membership, which Id def recommend!

A friend recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. I got THE NOW signature massage. It was great for what I needed and my therapist was able to adjust pressure at different points when I requested. The entire experience made me feel like I was in a peaceful, tropical place and made me forget about being in Chicago for a bit!

Margarita gave me the best massage I have ever had! She has such a bright yet calming personality and I can tell she really listens to and cares for you as a client. She even made time at the end of the session to give me advice on stretching my low back. I did the healer with gua sha and deep tissue massage. I had never used gua sha during a massage before and wanted to try it- while i enjoyed it i think i would rather do without it next time! The space itself is really beautiful and healing. I would definitely come back myself soon and recommend this place and Margarita to anyone

Just got done with my 80 minute massage and I have to say it might be the best one I’ve ever had. Jarvis was my masseuse and he was very professional and really good! He asked about any focus areas as well as any area I wanted to avoid. I felt alot of tension and knots I had and I can feel him identifying everyone of them and working them. The welcome staff was great too and very serviceable. The place is decorated very nicely and it was very very clean. I will most definitely be back.

First visit. Scott made me feel welcome and the massage I needed.Definitely booking a second session.

Got charged almost $500 for 4 massages in one day and they REFUSED to refund me. Their website NEVER gave me a confirmation for the booking and just continued to spin when I clicked the booking button, so I figured the booking never completed. The worst part was that after I finally got a booking confirmation for another one of their locations (Wicker Park), I went to the massage and started getting phone calls WHILE in the other location, asking if I was coming in for a massage. Once I got out of this location I saw that I had 4 charges for over $100 each on transactions. I called them, thinking that it makes logical sense to get a refund for the multiple false bookings, especially since I never got presented with a confirmation page and also got a massage at a different one of their location. The staff and manager, someone named Emma, was SO rude and didn’t even seem to care that they charged me almost half my rent for massages that didn’t even get verified. They kept saying the cancellation policy wouldn’t allow for refunds, but how can I cancel something I didn’t even get a confirmation for?I was trying to have a relaxing Saturday and this just ruined my whole week. I do not recommend supporting this business as they don’t care about their customers and especially don’t care about kindness.

I came here after a 10 mile race with my partner to treat ourselves. We got 80 minute massages and the speaker playing waves was extremely loud. It was so loud I could not relax at all. I asked my massage therapist if she could please turn it down and she said she couldn’t control it. I finally asked again and she said she’d go check for earplugs and left for 10 minutes of the massage. She came back with no earplugs and said they could turn it down a bit but it was still extremely loud. The massages including tip were $400. Not worth the money and I told the front desk and they comped $20 off for the bad service I had.

Loved the ambiance, white noise added an extra layer to the relaxation. I was running behind but the masseuse was very kind about it and still gave me a good amount of time. I also added on the scalp massage which was divine. I purchased one of their candles and hemp balm so I can take back the lovely smells I witnessed in the shop. When I come back to Chicago I will definitely be back!

I went here for the first time yesterday because I was riding a 3 day tension migraine that was being triggered by a muscle spasm I was having in my neck, traps, shoulder area. I expressed this to Cam, the massage therapist I was lucky to get, and he said he would be sure to focus on.Not only did Cam put me into a euphoric numbing like relaxation, he worked out this spasm and broke my migraine. Cam gave me one of the best massages of my life. I will be returning OFTEN and even signed up for the membership.

I REALLY wanted to love this place especially since I live nearby. While my massage therapist was very nice, the massage itself was disappointing. I didnt like whatever oil was used as it felt too cold and didnt have that easy, gliding feel on the skin. The pressure was so light that it barely qualified as a true massage from my perspective, but maybe my expectations for the service I booked were not aligned? This was probably the worst massage Ive ever received 😕.

I was in town for a long, stressful business trip and decided to treat myself to a massage. I found The Now South Loop and I am so glad I did. Relaxation starts the minute you walk through the door. The atmosphere is calming and the decor is a mixture of natural finishes, crystals and candles. Check in was fast and friendly. My massage therapist, Melody, really listened to my needs and made sure to focus her time on those areas that needed it. I left relaxed a d ready to take of the week. My only complaint is that the massage had to end! If you find yourself in downtown Chicago, do yourself a favor and book a massage here. You wont regret it.

Loved how Scott started soft, then went to hit certain muscles hard, and then utilizing the rotating movements. Also, the neck trigger point was the perfect way to end that session. Very calming and what I needed! Thanks!

Have been here twice. Had a better experience on my recent visit! I loved how Melody discussed with me how to best use the time since I was doing a 25-min. She was effective in improving my mobility with the time constraints and very professional.

I really enjoyed the overall experience from checking in to the massage. The spa itself had a very nice and calming vibe and the staff was phenomenal. Once i got into the rooms to get my massage, it was a very warm and welcoming vibe I had. The massage was amazing, being able to get a lot of stress out of my muscles. This place is fine for a relaxing massage, though it is quite loud as others have mentioned you can hear everyone else who is getting a massage. The services offered are very limited, so if you wanted a treatment massage this place is not the place. I was a member and after having some mistakes with the front staff telling me I had a different membership than I did and also having to supplement with massages from other places to prevent migraines since the ones from here don’t do anything, I cancelled the membership. Also have had a lot of problems with the front desk: the area is uncomfortable and not at all relaxing, they push treatments even after I tell them I am uninterested because they do nothing for me, and continue to offer things I am allergic to despite me staying every time I am allergic to it. Also once the membership stopped including upgrades it was not worth it for a basic massage. If all you want is to relax this may be the place for you, if you are okay with hearing everyone else relax around you.

Very accommodating crew! I loved that I was able to get a 25 minute massage last second. I called as I was walking to the place, so the walk probably took minutes out of my scheduled massage. I didnt have enough money to pay, but the worker was very understanding. They agreed to have my card on file until further notice, but I was embarrassed nonetheless. I had no knowledge of my lack of funds, but I managed to call back and pay the day of just before leaving town. Also, the massues was professional and very oriented. Overall, I loved the place, the scent and the massage itself. Will definitely be coming back 🙂

Danny hands down is a game changer. His massage technique is so good you can tell he really knows the body and not just rubbing oil on you. He is very knowledgeable and also showers me stretching techniques at the end of the session. Instantly signed up for a membership because of him. You know you have a great masseuse when so much tension is gone that you cry.

I loved my experience. I came from a trip for a music festival so my body was so sore and I just needed a massage. I booked the 50 min + deep tissue and my service provider was Tawanna. She was very nice and extremely kind. The massage area is a quiet zone— they play some white noise and wave sounds that help drown out any whispers or noises from other clients, so that helped me relax a lot. Tawanna did a great job and suggested that I see her again to work on my problem areas more, and I ended up leaving as a new member.

Lovely little boutique feeling spa! The member rates are a great deal, one of the best (and best priced) massages Ive had in Chicago. The only tiny downside is that noise seems to travel a bit and the ventilation system is a bit noisy when it kicks up. But the massages are a solid 5 stars as are the staff. While this isnt your typical treat yourself, full spa its an excellent massage for the price and totally worth it if you want or need regular massage therapy.

If you need to relax, this is a great spot. It is so peaceful, sleek, clean and the energy in the place is great! The only small issue for me is that with there only being curtains in between each room, sometimes you can hear whats happening in the other space. It can be distracting. My masseuse was so calm and took good direction. Most importantly she was quiet while giving my massage. I have been to this location 3 times and I will be back!

Worst Service ever! Especially Brett answering the phone. They gave no notice that Greek Independence Day was going on the 26th of March. Roads are close no parking. Fist lady who answer the phone said it would be okay to cancel no charge.Brett is egotistical and rude. Then still charged the $130 for cancellation. When they did nothing to inform their customers Independent Greek Day was going on and there is nowhere to park.Never again will I use their services. Poor Attitude!Poor Business Relationship…. Two thumbs down for Now Massage.!

I scheduled this a couple message way in advance and the day of the service they had a female message call in sick?!? For a place who 25 massage therapist they don’t have any female therapist for the time that I had a book which is ridiculous. I’m not sure how they staffed or how the booking works but this is something that I had booked way in advance for a surprise Christmas present which they ruin!!!!

**Updated to three stars from one as the manager reached out, granted a credit for the cancellation fee since the policy was not made clear** I was a member and have had a few negative experiences: adding on a treatment and the therapist forgets to use it until the massage is almost over; another time their schedule was backed up so my masssage started late and was cut short; and now Ive cancelled my membership due to their unexplained cancellation policy. Its an overpriced massage envy with more essential oils. You are in a tent and can hear any noise or movement in the tents adjacent to you, despite the ambient sound machines. Save your money and go elsewhere!
