Urban Oasis Massage

Ive been going to Urban Oasis for Massages for 3 years now and its phenomenal. Everything about the experience is pristine. The place is immaculate, youre greeted by the most welcoming front desk staff with a beautiful and relaxing ambience. You can choose from an assortment of incredibly high quality teas and juices and are asked if youd like a steam or rain shower after treatment (both are to die for).I never request a particular therapist because they are all good but the other week I was incredibly sore and needed a strong deep tissue massage. They recommended I see Terry and he gave the best DEEP tissue massage Ive ever had (there were moments where I didnt think Id make it to the other side but I persevered and it was worth it). Highly recommend him.

Just visited urban oasis for the first time. Exceptional experience- immaculate and inviting space and my therapist Lauren was fantastic. Really listened to my concerns and body. On the high end ($$$) of services but felt it was worth every penny.

This was the best prenatal massage I have ever received. Being able to lay in my stomach again was something I didn’t know I needed. Pia checked in with me throughout each part to make sure I was comfortable. The rain shower that followed was wonderful. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I will be back!

Best massage place I’ve been to and I frequent different places. I got the prenatal massage at 7/8 months pregnant and even though I had to get the 30min one because it’s a bit pricey- I will say it was well worth the money! And though I typically do a full hour- it was GREAT for even the 30 minutes. I will definitely be going back there! The atmosphere is so calming and very nice.

My Massage Therapist was good. Summer is a lovely lady and took care of me. She is very knowledgeable and gave a Swedish and deep tissue massage. I would recommend Urban Oasis Massage for anyone who needs stress relief.

This is my favorite place in Chicago for a reliable, therapeutic massage experience. Customer service is top notch, facility is clean, and they only employ highly skilled massage therapists so you can see anyone and have a good experience. They also offer complimentary juices (delicious) and a steam or rain shower following the massage. 10/10 highly recommend.

One of the best massages (possibly the best) Ive ever had! Every person Ive seen was knowledgeable and gave me tips on muscles to stretch when I got home. The lobby is cute and the ladies at the front desk are so so lovely. Their rain/steam shower is EVERYTHING. I could stay in there all day, though there is a 20min limit lol.

I have seen Terry before, during, and after both of my pregnancies for deep tissue massages. His technique always provides so much relief to my muscles and he has the ability to provide very deep tissue work if you’re seeking that. He’s always been professional, timely, and a warm presence. I recommend him to friends and family constantly. A highly recommended service!

I have been going to Urban Oasis for years and always have a great experiences. I have been to many massage therapists at Urban Oasis and all are terific, professional and know their art. But I now go to the same one all the time, Graham, because he is especially good and reads areas that need extra work intuitively and is so professional and knowledgeable and puts me totally at ease. I always leave both relaxed and energized.

This was my first prenatal massage and it was amazing! Melissa G was so great & very knowledgeable. The massage table with the cutout for your stomach was so nice. I wish I knew about this place sooner. Highly recommend.

My experience with Urban Oasis is awesome. I have been getting deep tissue massages for over one year, and I have so much more flexibility and range of motion, that is now pain free. The masseuses are expert at their craft and deliver amazing results for me every time . I highly recommend Urban Oasis. This is a top notch organization, that delivers amazing results.

I had my first massage here last night, with Molly, and it was a wonderful experience! I booked a 7pm massage and ended up arriving about 10 minutes late — the staff was super kind and professional about it, where they certainly didn’t need to be. They offered me spa shoes and pear juice (SO good), and the massage itself was great - Molly is clearly super knowledgeable, and has a really gentle & effective technique. When I asked if she could try focusing on part of my upper back, she was receptive to feedback and created a very welcoming environment. They have the option of a complimentary shower afterwards - do the rain shower, the water pressure is wonderful. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Best Massage in the City! Ample parking in attach lot if you got to the N.Avenue location. The steam/rain shower is a must after your massage!! Makes you feel like a brand new person! I’ve been to many spots & this is by far my favorite! Highly recommend!!!!

Rae just gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. The rainfall shower afterward was also heavenly. I felt like a queen, the staff are so kind!

I had a massage with Sarah Fr yesterday and left feeling so relaxed. It was easy to communicate with her and she would check in to make sure the pressure was the right amount. She has knowledge of aerial arts, which also meant she knew where I could be tightest, since I do trapeze. I will definitely be back!

Ive seen a number of different masseuses here and all have been skilled and professional. I love that there is usually last-minute availability. The rain shower is great!

It’s been a few times now that I’ve been to Urban Oasis and my experience here has been absolutely fantastic. My go-to person is Summer but I’ve also had others and they were all very good. The ambience is very calming, people are very warm and the massages almost put me to sleep! Worth mentioning I guess that I typically opt for the Swedish Massage.

Just luv this place! So clean and such a peaceful environment! I have found the massage therapist for me… Breanna… and every visit is so well done. She listens and I’m refreshed and renewed!

This was my first time here and I had a great experience. Lisa was great and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this location and her. My best friend went with me and she had a different person and also said they were great. Overall we had a wonderful experience here and I felt great the day after. Very relaxing and much needed massages for these tired mamas. We did have to wear our masks the entire time and this was just fine and made me feel safe and at ease.

Purchased as a gift for someone else. Was advised overall experience was okay except for a couple of issues that were later resolved with the owner, otherwise 90 minute gift package was good. Therapist was attentive and responsive. Reply to concerns from owner were quick and efficient. Thanks for speedy resolution!

Went in for a massage before taking a 14 hour road trip with my family. As soon as I came in, the staff was very friendly and attentive. A few minutes before the scheduled call, my massage therapist lead me to the room and prepped me on the experience, asking me what areas Id like to focus on and what pressure I preferred. She checked in with me multiple times throughout the massage to make sure I was not only comfortable, but also getting the exact massage experience I was anticipating. She adjusted the pressure in different spots where more or less firmness was needed. All in all, it was a great experience and Ill definitely be visiting again.

Ive been coming to Urban Oasis since 2006 and have always had a wonderful experience. My latest experience with Valerie was honestly one of the best massages Ive ever had! From the moment you walk in, calm surrounds you. I especially appreciate how peaceful and quiet the entire experience is. Just what you need to recharge!

Had a great massage today! The facility is nice and I appreciate that they are still 100% masked. My therapist checked in often about the pressure and my comfort and spent time working on specific sore spots I had identified. All around it was a really comfortable and relaxing experience and I definitely plan to go back.

Urban Oasis has a very hospitable, warm atmosphere... My wife and I visited the Original location a few times over 20 years ago. However, when we rediscovered the Urban Oasis after so long...(it was just like the first time)... Our experience was second to none, we truly appreciated the Massage Therapist that cared for us... Love this place. I’ve been going for 10 years. They know exactly what they’re doing and are very knowledge in helping with pain you may be experiencing in your back, neck or shoulders. I’ve been to other places in Chicago that try to upsell you on their products or services when your arrive, only to cause more stress. This place is very professional and calming and I will always choose to go here over anywhere else. Worth every penny.

Amazing massage with Olly yesterday. She has an incredible way of getting into the spots that really need it without hurting you or leaving you too sore She was also kind enough to tell me some stretching exercises I can do at home. I am truly grateful for her!As an aside, I have been coming here for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. This one was just exceptional!Had another great experience with Kristina yesterday! She suggested an extended massage when she felt how tight my knots were. She was PHENOMENAL! This was an amazing experience! They were so accommodating even when I called and said I m be late. The pear juice is a great choice as well they have a nice variety of drinks. The massage was the best part of the entire experience extremely relaxing yet refreshing atmosphere coinciding. Highly recommend !

Urban Oasis has been the only massage place Ive consistently been to in Chicago and Ive had a great experience each time. Their safety protocols are great with COVID-19 and I have always felt safe and felt their cleanliness was top notch. Couldnt recommend it enough!

Urban Oasis is truly just that! I booked a one hour deep tissue massage with Michele. We briefly talked about my issues (I am a daily life-long cyclist). I was impressed with Micheles knowledge of my areas of chronic muscle fatigue and the way she addressed them. Definitely going to see her on a regular basis. BTW the facility is very pleasant, clean and well run. I could not have been more pleased.

The staff was super welcoming and kind. They have a really clean set up. The whole process to book an appt and get checked in was really easy. I got a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Pia and loved it! Would highly recommend.

Urban Oasis has gone above and beyond to make their customers feel safe during the pandemic, and Im sure their safety measures give their employees some extra comfort as well. Even the signs in the restrooms to close the toilet lid before flushing and to open the door with a towel were wonderfully common sense! Aside from safety measures, Ive had a great massage every time Ive been to Urban Oasis, even when I schedule last minute and I get a random therapist. I cant wait for the steam showers/rain showers to return, as this is an indulgent part of the experience, but Im still returning even without them!

Urban Oasis is one of the few institutions that has made me feel comfortable being a patron of their business. From the unit wide filter installation and the air purifiers in the massage rooms to the precautions the staff take with masks and social distancing, they are doing all they can to prevent the spread of this serious virus. Additionally, the quality of their massage therapist are incredible, especially the therapist Jennifer S., she is truly amazing! I highly recommend their business!

I love coming here! I had a great massage with Martir and have had other therapists in the past that were all lovely. It is very cleanly and they are very cautious about making everyone feel safe. All the therapists are professional and will cater the massage to whatever you are looking for. I felt super comfortable going here (everyone wears masks the whole time) and would recommend it to anyone!

Thank you Sarah and the Urban Oasis staff for a much needed massage today! This was my first time back since March, right before lock down. They were very thorough about the steps being taken to provide a safe environment, and very professional as soon as I arrived. They took my temperature before entering and had me put my street shoes in a bin. The 90 minute massage was everything I needed, my body was in rough shape. I felt very safe and stress free. Ill definitely be going back!

Love this place! They provided a special belly bed for when I was pregnant so I could get a massage and lay on my stomach. Great massage therapists. Finally got to use the steam showers, which were closed for COVID precautions, and it was amazing!

In desperate need of some hip/lower back relief, I booked a prenatal appointment with Melissa. The check in process was smooth (I was greeted with a beverage - water, tea, or juice) and a pair of sandals. The prenatal massage bed felt like a cloud, with many bolsters to relieve tension, and even had a hole in the bed so I could lay face down. Melissa did a great job checking in with me throughout the massage, offering me water, and checking if the room temperature was cool enough. The 20 minute complimentary shower (with temperature control and other amenities like a hair cap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and q-tips) was a great addition that I really enjoyed. It was nice to have a moment versus immediately leaving. Im SO glad I found this place!! I will be back!

Carolyn was great! Had my first and definitely not last prenatal massage here. Facility was clean, atmosphere was awesome, and the COVID measures they put in place put my mind at ease being pregos. I’m 28-weeks and everything was perfect.

I was very excited to get back on the massage table after the crazy year we’ve had! Urban Oasis did not disappoint - Full safety precautions were being taken and I felt very safe during the whole experience. And they are just the absolute best place for massage in the city- very skilled, world-class therapists imo.No frills, but a lovely relaxing setting and a true healing experience. 10/10!

Treated myself to a 90min deep tissue massage for my birthday. Asha was awesome and did a great job listening and attending to my areas of concern. The spa receptionists were very friendly and the spa was super clean. A great place to get a massage and the location is perfect for running errands.

The overall experience was 4 stars. It was good customer service over the phone when making the appointment, I liked the instructions sent to access the North Ave location, the juice refreshments and sandals is a great touch, the cleanliness was top tier, but I did recognize that the gift card I was gifted had not been attached to my appt correctly (I gave it to the associate when I initially booked and no price increase was voiced); it had to be looked up which took several minutes. Then I was told I had a balance after the massage, but during booking that shouldve been advised. Front desk associate said their prices increased and the gift card expired (never told this and she stated the other associate mustve had it confused). So out of the few people I talked to over the phone for confirmation of appt time and date, no one mentioned price increase. The massage was good. But the room was very chilly. I paid the difference and still tipped Rowan generously. But moving forward I may not return. Thanks for the experience.

Hands down, the best massage therapists in the city. I have been doing deep tissue massages at Urban Oasis for over 10 years and I can say, quite passionately, that I have never had a bad massage here. Through numerous sports related injuries and two pregnancies, UO has supported my physical and mental well being. I just went in for the first time since the pandemic and, as I anticipated knowing how much this business cares about its customers, the incredibly kind owner (who is loved by the staff) has implemented a robust covid system that made me feel safe and supported during my time there. I realize Im gushing here, it really is just that great

This is my second massage during the pandemic and I felt totally comfortable. Not only is Michelle an amazing and attentive massage therapist but the facility is spotless. They are following the utmost precautions; with a survey about symptoms and travel at every appointment, temperature check upon arrival and air filters in every room. Everything is obviously sanitized after each use (even the pens!). I have always loved Urban Oasis and I will continue to go there every time I get the chance. Michelle is one of the best massage therapists there is. Shes helped immensely with my crunchy shoulders, incredibly tight traps and even my TMJ!

However, chronic pain in my shoulder finally pushed me to try getting a massage again. I am also a small business owner myself and my business is heavily regulated during the new restrictions on personal services so I’m well versed in the protocols that need to be followed.Urban Oasis has their protocols mastered. Temperature checks, personal bins for belongings, mask mandates and social distancing - even guidelines posted in shared areas such as bathrooms. They’ve limited the number of people in the facility and I never felt at risk. My masked was on the entire time as was the staff and other clientele.I feel so much better after my massage with Barrett and comfortable enough with their safety protocols that I plan to start coming monthly again. My well being is more important than ever and this investment is safe and well worth it. Just do it - you’ll feel better.

Ive been going to this location since before the pandemic. Theyve always been an extremely transparent business about their pandemic responses & challenges, from promoting gift cards in the beginning, to various safety measures, to recent price increases with advance notice with the option to purchase gift cards at the old prices. Best of all, Ive had a lasting bond with my masseuse and have never left unsatisfied!

I feel very safe. Urban Oasis has outfitted an extremely careful and deliberate process to ensure guests and staff are safe. For example, I was greeted at the door, had a temperature check and given a clear bin for my personal items. I was offered hand sanitizer and was seated safely away from anyone else. Other times, I have been the only guest in the front-room - they are clearly following safety guidelines. It is evident that the staff have been well trained based on the consistency of how everyone works.Air filters are present everywhere in their space, and there are also fans circulating the air. I wore a mask for the duration of my massage, and felt very safe.The cleaning staff were working very meticulously as a guest comes or goes.I am getting massages for medical reasons and this felt safer than physical therapy.

I pulled a muscle in my back and could barely walk. I thought a massage would help, and I was so lucky that there was a cancellation and the team at Urban Oasis got me in right away! I saw Rae who is, by far, the best therapist I have ever had in my life. Not only did she help relax my muscles, she called a chiropractor on my behalf and called me directly the next day to check on me. This is truly above and beyond what any client could ask for. I will long be a client at Urban Oasis! I would not go anywhere else! Such a fantastic team.

She really listened to what areas I wanted to work on and explained some things for me since I haven’t had many massages prior. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful and it is extremely clean and inviting. Can’t wait to see Jennifer again soon!

Urban Oasis superseded my expectations. My therapist, Michelle, listened intently at the beginning of our session and gave me the most purposeful, intentional massage I’ve ever received. I truly felt that Michelle knew exactly which parts of my neck and back needed attention and she spent adequate time in each location. If I wasn’t moving to Denver, I would seriously consider regular sessions with Michelle. Her 17 years as a Massage Therapist should not go inexperienced!

First massage in 16 months did not disappoint! Reasonable safety precautions didn’t impede enjoyment of the experience whatsoever. Deep tissue work was amazing. I am so happy to be able to return to getting massages at Urban Oasis.

I had an amazing prenatal massage at 27 weeks pregnant! It was the best one Ive had and this is baby #3 for me. Therapist Melissa was really sweet. She told me what places she could and couldnt massage before getting started. The hole where your baby bump goes is supportive and it was amazing! Thats the first time Ive been able to lay forward in a long time.The only con is that it is hard to find the place. When you get here and if you drive, just go to the first floor, exit the doors, and turn to your left and walk to the revolving doors on the corner. They are down the stairs.Aside from that I would definitely come back!

I just had my first post-covid massage and it was everything I needed and Im thrilled I decided to go. I was hesitant because getting a massage is a very close and intimate interaction, but they have really nailed down protocols and I felt comfortable with the precautions taken. Im so glad I did because I had one of the best massages of my entire life. While Ive never had less than a great massage at Urban Oasis, Allison absolutely blew me away. Thanks to her and all the crew at UO for being there and helping out knotted-up Chicagoans.

What a perfect massage experience! The facilities are tranquil and immaculately clean. Jorge gave me hands down the best deep tissue massage Ive ever received. First things first, Oasis has taken a myriad of steps to ensure patrons are safe and feel safe. There was never a moment where I felt any danger of exposure.Second, as always the staff is warm, kind and generous. If you’re not sure about a covid precaution, ask and they’ll know it.Third, my massage was with Jorge and if I could have extended it another 60 minutes I would have done it in a heartbeat. He’s so methodical and judicious in his treatment, he basically got a client in me for life.Oasis is only scheduling a few weeks out due to an abundance of caution (in case the city rolls regulations back), so set up a massage ASAP.

I went for my first massage since Covid started last weekend. They have very good measures in place for sanitation and ventilation. They have air filters in every room and let rooms stay open for a half hour between appointments. My therapist and I wore masks the whole time. There was hand sanitizer as far as the eye could see. I felt safe and protected and will not hesitate to return.

Just had a massage at Urban Oasis, it was perfection. COVID protocols made me feel very comfortable. Thought it would be challenging to wear a mask while face down but as soon as the massage started I forgot I was wearing a mask.Will definitely be going back soon!

I’m grateful & highly recommend her &Urban Oasis. I felt very safe, as their COVID precautions are thorough. Great experience. I felt the difference on my body within minutes of starting the massage. Me and my daughter scheduled a 30mnts massage to try it out and we were very pleased so we scheduled our next one for an hour. Very attentive service from the moment you enter.

Urban oasis is and will always be my favorite place for a massage. Cannot believe all of the things they’ve done to protect their masseuses and casts, I felt so comfortable going back. Not to mention, Peter, the owner goes above and beyond to make sure each client feels so welcomed and comfortable. The girls at the front are the best as well and always willing to meet every need and request! This time, unfortunately, the masseuses I usually go with have not come back yet. So I tried someone new. Unfortunately she spent the first seven minutes asking me about my daily routine and suggested that I incorporate yoga at my age. This then cut off about 10 minutes from my massage, I thought for sure she would go past the hour since she took up that time. Cab checking in, however, the massage was more of a pinching tape thing and it wasn’t my style at all. Perhaps someone else would enjoy this style. Unfortunately I won’t request her ever. However, please give urban oasis a chance as they are heaven on earth!

I found Urban Oasis via Google when I was looking up places for massages. The reviews are good for a reason! They are taking good Covid measures (temperature checks, hand sanitizer, wearing masks). It was my first time getting a professional massage and my therapist was amazing!! She addressed my concerns and I left there on cloud 9! I went for another massage a week later and I also had a good experience! You won’t regret going to Urban Oasis!

Urban Oasis is always an excellent experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating; Ive always worked an excellent masseuse. The complimentary rain or steam shower following the massage is also a wonderful addition. It lets you relax a few more minutes and take some time to stretch out instead of being rushed out the door moments after your massage ends (as happens at some places). They are my first choice for a massage in Chicago and I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Always providing the best for experience. I’ve gone here for years and the massage therapist are the best. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. I do wish there was online booking but it doesn’t stop me from coming back. The space is always clean which is key for me and the therapist know what they are doing. Definitely better than any massage envy in the city.

I have been a customer of Urban Oasis for over five years :) Their staff members are professional and their store environment has been super clean and spotless. I have been back twice since they reopened sometime in 2020. They have put in a lot of efforts to make customers feel safe. (You can read the details on their website/email) For example, there are extra ventilator and air filter in the treatment rooms. The therapists will open the door (a small gap) during the massage if customers are ok.

Urban Oasis has very strict health protocols that they communicate prior to your appointment, and review again when you arrive. I felt safe during my entire experience. Plus, I got one of the best massages Ive ever had.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Urban Oasis. The check in process was very smooth although I was a little apprehensive to leave my coat and boots out in the front area. The massage therapist was very professional and polite, she talked with me for a bit to figure out my problem areas and then went to work. They also offer complementary showers afterwards which was appreciated. Overall this is a great place to visit, it is on the pricey side but well worth the money if you can make it work.

I just got my first massage with Urban Oasis (prenatal massage) and it was incredible! The North Avenue Location has a great atmosphere and is very serene even under one of the busiest parts of the city. The shower room you get to use afterwards has literally the best shower Ive ever been in - basically a 12 inch diameter rain shower with incredible pressure. LOVE.

Excellent experience as per usual! I have been to Urban Oasis multiple times and always leave feeling calm, relaxed, and happy. The COVID precautions made me feel very safe and they are adhering to them diligently. Masks are required, there is ample hand sanitizer and social distancing, air filtration systems in place, and multiple modes of payment and tipping if you’d prefer to be cashless. This was my first visit to the urban oasis location on North Avenue. I have normally gone to the Maple Avenue location but that sadly closed. I had a wonderful experience. It was empty but they were very accommodating. I felt very safe and had a wonderful massage with my mask on. It did not feel any different except for the fact that obvious precautions were taken and the door of the room was slightly propped open. All in all a wonderful experience and I would return.

Had a great experience recently getting a prenatal massage. The massage therapist, Kim, did a great job explaining how the massage would go before starting, talking through any areas of tension with me, and explaining areas shed avoid and why due to pregnancy. It was a comfortable and relaxing experience. They even have a special table designed for pregnant women with a hole in it for your bump.As far as COVID precautions, they take your temperature upon arrival, have you complete paperwork confirming you dont have symptoms, etc., and require you (and the massage therapist) to wear masks throughout your time there. While wearing a mask isnt ideal for a massage, I think it makes sense for safety reasons. If you have a comfortable cloth mask, it doesnt take much away from the experience in my opinion. Parking is convenient with a parking garage located nearby; they offer validated parking, which is affordable for the city.

Highly recommend if you are COVID conscious and want a clean/safe place with masks. Massage quality was also well above average (and Ive tried quite a few spas/ sport massage places in Chicago). I had my massage therapist focus on deep tissue/ sports massage and he found all the right spots to relax my muscles.

Due to the pandemic had not been to Urban Oasis in about a year. I visited a week before I decided to schedule to see the changes they had made to be in compliance with air flow and alternating massage rooms so that fewer people would be there at any one time. Also saw that client clothes were placed in individual bins so it was not mixed..Scheduled only 1 hour massage, rather than 1.5 hours to limit my time, and I wore 2 blue face masks over my nose and mouth and two over my eyes which receiving services.

I have been going to Urban Oasis for years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the company. The facility is aesthetic pleasing and always kept clean. All of their staff is wonderful, and I truly believe that have a wonderful group of extremely talented therapists. I highly recommend this establishment.

Really great spa with expert masseuses. The whole experience was very relaxing, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Spa sandals were provided upon entry and the introductory paperwork was minimal (only one page). This was the perfect way to start our Saturday!

I went in for my first Covid massage after not going in for 8 months. My back and shoulders were so tight and it felt necessary, even though I was super nervous. Urban Oasis is taking great safety precautions - hand sanitizer before coming in, temperature checks, no shoes beyond the front door, masks on for everyone the entire time, plexiglass barriers at checkout, etc. I honestly didnt even notice I was wearing my mask during the massage after about 5 minutes. Sadly, this crazy pandemic means no amazing rain shower, but for everyones health and safety, its a small price to pay. I just went in for my 2nd massage this fall, and I will certainly be back beyond this. Just wanted to let anyone know who is nervous about going it, how safe it feels inside. I didnt even know they were open, but they are, and theyre doing everything they can to make us feel comfortable, which I really appreciate. And of course, the best massages in town! They took all of the Covid precautions so I felt extremely safe. They gave you a bin for all of your clothes and belongings and had sanitizer available everywhere. Besides the safety, it was one of the best massages Ive had. She asked me what I wanted to work on before the massage, which Ive actually never been asked. Its a little pricey but I would definitely want to come back!

Had an amazing pre-natal massage with Danielle. I loved how the tables had a cut out to support your stomach, and that you were also able to lay propped up on your back. So comfortable, and nice because most other prenatal massages have you lay on your back.

She asked me a lot of questions about my body and my history with treating my very tight and knotted back. She made me feel comfortable while working out all of my kinks.The steam shower was AMAZING! I had an incredibly relaxing experience at Urban Oasis. Two girlfriends and I had a girl spa day and this was the perfect place. I would love to go back more often, but cost is pretty pricey, versus other places I have gone to for an awesome massage. The only difference is Urban Oasis allows you to fully shower after your massage, which is so helpful if you are not planning on going home after your massage, which is the case with my girlfriends and I, we went to an early dinner following our massage so the shower was a bonus.

Ive only been here once but will likely return. I received a prenatal massage and my God was it fantastic. Jennifer really knew what she was doing and gave me some helpful tips on how to manage pregnancy symptoms. The table alone was worth it - theres a hole in the bottom with a hammock so you can lie on your belly. Plus, they offer a relaxing rain shower post-massage which just topped off the whole experience!

Hands down my favorite massage place in Chicago. Most of the therapists who work there are really good. However my absolute favorite therapist is Lois. I myself am a massage therapist and I am very picky about my massages. Lois surpasses my expectations every time.She’s always booked so call a couple days in advance if you’d like to see her. She is the absolute best, great pressure and technique. I highly recommend Lois if you want an above average massage ! A little sad the steam showers aren’t open due to COVID. And the price is more expensive that most spas at $115/ hour.

My massage lady was great! I forgot to ask her name. She is about 5’9, and she is currently pregnant. Before we dive in, She asked every detail of my body conditions and she did just as I want. The 60 mins Swedish massage was super relaxing and refreshing. I can feel my back is no longer tight and stiff. And she was really patient! I really appreciate that bc it’s actually my first time doing Swedish massage. Everything was perfect. I am female but I was written as Tony by my friend(don’t know why lol). Pre-and-post Covid, Tayo and the entire team at Urban Oasis have been extremely knowledgable, professional—no where else in Chicago compares, in my experience. My therapist Sarah was truly amazing. We discussed the areas of need and she could immediately see and feel the knots. She knew what strokes and pressure to apply, while still allowing me to enjoy it without pain. At urban oasis, it does not matter which therapist you recieve, because they are ALL well skilled, professional and warm. But feeling is believing--so go for it! Ive been going to Urban Oasis for years now. The staff are very professional. Noreen is especially fantastic. She knows exactly the spots that need more work. Ive been to many other spas in the city over the years but none compare. The experience at Urban Oasis with the trained staff, the private steam or rain showers is a wonderful experience.

COVID protocols are clearly laid out and adhered to. I’m 24 weeks pregnant and knew I would really benefit from a prenatal massage (sciatica pain!). Wearing the mask for the duration of the massage was truly no big deal. My therapist Jennifer was great, made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and definitely helped with my pain. I will be back.

Been coming to Urban Oasis North Avenue for years and always have the most amazing 90 minutes of the week. The space and atmosphere exudes peace, tranquility and just happiness at the expectation of the wellness that awaits me. Jorge is by far is my favorite therapist for deep tissue and Thai massages. His great pressure and unique technique leaves me feeling refreshed and provides relief to tight muscles and knots.

This morning I had a massage with Sara. She is so capable; she listened carefully to what I was hurting from and got to work. Sara was amazing in how she worked to remove my knots. She really removed my discomfort from recent weight lifting! Sara also did an excellent job massaging my feet, neck, IT band and shoulders. I felt wonderful when we finished! Had a wonderful 90-minute deep tissue massage with Jenae. Of course there is a small level of risk getting an indoor massage right now, but it was so worth it! I appreciated the extra measures taken to increase air flow in the lobby and treatment rooms, as well as the bin provided for my belongings which eliminated the need to touch any surfaces. I will gladly return!

Had my first Thai massage with Jorge and loved it. Ive other types of massages (Hot stone, Deep tissue) but this is becoming one of my favorites. I was sore afterwards but will be coming back again next month.

I love massage and have been to a few around town in the past couple decades or so just to find the best out there. I have been going to Urban Oasis on and off since I was pregnant with my first born 12 years ago (bet pre-natal massage by the way!). They are not the cheapest but they are always the best. Thats why I keep coming back. In the past year, I have consistently going back to see Lois once a month or every other month until COVID hit. When it re-opened in the summer, I read about the protocol they put in place to protect everyone and I felt safe enough to go back. No rain shower and mask is required at all time. Im ok with that as long as it keeps everyone safe. I have been back a few times since and my muscles are happy. I hope the city wont shut it down again *fingers crossed*

Place was very clean and well managed. Massage therapist was super friendly. I went for a prenatal massage. It was a little hard to get comfortable at first because the massage therapist was VERY chatty, so instead of focusing on relaxing I was trying to pay attention to what she was saying. Normally I do not mind to chat but I feel like this is a place you go to relax. I do not feel like I got a full hour of service, as I wasn’t taken back until 10 min after my appt was scheduled.I would still give it another try. Rainforest shower was amazing!

In the lunacy that’s defined 2020, Urban Oasis has established a seemingly safe way to get the massage we all need. The first thing I noticed was they’ve kept the number of clients to a minimum. Second , they ask the questions we all expect to be asked, check temps and insist on masks. The treatment is as good as it was prepandemic. They’ve stopped showers, post treatment water and robes for now. Checkout is easier than ever as you can pay via Venmo. If you’re concerned about venturing out, I think Urban Oasis is doing it right and putting your safety first.

The masseuse I had was so sweet & cute. Unfortunately, it seemed like the lady’s in the front beg for tips. They mention it on the phone before you even get your service (which is fine if u get great service). But as I was sitting down waiting the lady constantly asking people if they tipped and was “reminding” them of gratuity. I just feel like for $120 massage you shouldn’t be begging for tips or keep pressuring someone to tip. Tips come after your service and is based on performance! I felt robbed and pressured. Although, I did have a nice and ok masseuse thankfully. Please stop overcharging for massages then begging for tips!

I’ve been to several spa places and this one by far is the best especially for prenatal massages! They even have a special table with a hole for your belly so it literally lifts the weight off your body- it’s like magic. The only time you can lie face down throughout your pregnancy. I have been to many places in Chicago, (I am kind of picky with my massages). However this one is the only one that I would go to during this pandemic. They take all the precautions possible, such as taking temp, disinfecting everything, and buying equipment like air purifiers that clean the air of the room. More importantly they rotate which rooms to use after each customer. So that no customer uses a room that recently had someone in it. I felt super safe, and came out feeling relaxed😌 !!

Jorge gave and amazing 90 minute session and really helped me to reach new levels of depth in my massage journey, and the steam room/shower post-massage was the icing on the cake. I will absolutely be back.

I have come here several times for a massage during the pandemic. They are doing all the right things. Staff and customers wear masks. They take customers temperature and have air purifiers and fans in treatment rooms. I believe this is a safe environment also because it is not crowded. Appointments are spaced out. I look forward to coming back.

Great massage and even better COVID restrictions. They were very good about keeping distance, air flow and masks on (the entire time). It did not disrupt the quality of the massage at all. Definitely would recommend.

COVID precautions were incredible. I felt safe and cared for, and felt that the staff were safe and cared for, also. Be forewarned: wear your lightest mask (disposable medical grade ones probably best) if youll be face down for part of your massage -- it can be tricky to breathe comfortably in a mask in the donut. But possible!!

I received a wonderful gift of healing from three clients after my brother Paul died. The gift was exacting what they wished to be. Ray listened to my desires for the experience. She was heartfelt, strong, quiet and observant. I needed to have someone respect my emotional state and wash my troubles away for that hour at least. The hour was like an eternity. It was an extremely peaceful and soothing experience -- long over due. I almost pasted up the experience of the bonus steam or rain shower following the massage. I love getting massages at Urban Oasis, this is a go-to gift idea for me and my husband has gotten the memo! Pretty much any professional rub down is great, but I love the quality of their massage therapists and the attention they give to sore spots. They also give you tea or water before your massage but the highlight is the elephant head rain shower following the massage (your choice, you can select a rain or steam shower). In my opinion the North Avenue location is better than Maple Street.

First massage since Covid-19 started and so I was not sure what to expect. I am very happy with the way Urban Oasis handled the pre-screening, and felt safe during the massage. I will defiantly be going back soon.

I enjoyed my massage at Urban Oasis. My masseuses name is Tayo. He was great. He created a safe environment by telling me the covid-19 procedure and what to expect during the massage. The space exudes calm and chill. When I return to Chicago I definitely will book with Tayo.

The is no question in my mind that Urban Oasis is the best place for a massage in Chicago. From the moment you walk in, you start to relax and they make you feel welcome. The therapists are great and are always very concerned about any injuries, issues, etc. My only issue is that I dont get there often enough.

I have visited this spa a handful of times. The therapists have always been respectful and professional. Some therapists pay more attention to your wishes than others. The front desk staff is not warm and welcoming.

I was referred by a friend, and have been twice since. The staff is really great and each therapist Ive been to (Suzette and Lauren) have been wonderful. I am definitely returning!

Decided to review 1 star because when I asked a question to the lady ringing us out, she gave me false information. So. I was paying for my friend and I massage at the counter, when I was asked about “tipping” the masseuse.. no problem, he wasn’t that good, but whatever, I’ll tip. Now when I asked her (older white lady) as I was paying on my card, “may I leave the tip from my credit card” that she was about to run, she instantly told me “NO”…sooo I said oh, okay, we’ll I’ll Zelle. HOWEVER, my friend stepped in to pay the “tip” from Zelle, but directly next to me, it was two white ladies that was paying their tab, and the same old white lady that told me “NO” that I can’t tip from my card, SHE told the other ladies “yes”. My friend and I looked at each other with confusion on our faces… so now, we already know why we were singled out. For whatever reason, we know that race played a factor, and no matter what they may say from this, she was absolutely racist towards us, and not even intentionally! It’s crazy out here… needless to say I will not spend another dime at that establishment. After going there a few times, I haven’t encountered such issue. I guess it’s new staff… So I’m done. And I won’t recommend this place to ANY of my very affluent and very astute friends & family because of that. And I’ll probably keep rating one star from everyone Gmail account that I know, if I have the time. Toodles… get some POC in there, and not just to clean the rooms🙄

Urban Oasis has strict procedures in place to make their clients feel safe and comfortable. The massages are as fabulous as ever, and the environment is clean, healthy and relaxing.

I have now been 3 times since they have opened since their shut down for covid and its clear that they have put a lot of thought and care into making sure their customers experience is safe but still enjoyable. Wearing a mask during a massage is far more comfortable than I expected and I actually forgot I was wearing one.

Honestly I’ve tried so many different places for messages in Chicago but nothing is like this place!

Always a fantastic experience regardless of the massage therapist I have seen (pre-, post-natal, or regular Swedish massage). Each therapist does a quick interview to assess how to allocate their time and gets started. Knowledgeable staff have offered tips to relieve my TMJ that have allowed me to extend the massage beyond the appointment. So grateful I found Urban Oasis and would not go anywhere else.

All COVID protocols are being followed to the letter. From the time that I arrived for my 60 minute massage to the time that I left, I felt safe and confident in their efforts to operate safely during COVID. Do not hesitate to return or to try them for the first time. You will not be disappointed.

I love Urban Oasis! I found Rae a while back and she is amazing! I have struggled with back and neck pain from scoliosis for years and she is the answer to my prayers! I highly recommend her for deep tissue work. I have also seen Nor and she was wonderful too.

Who ever invented this place is my personal hero. This is HEAVEN in the middle of Chicago. Ive only been to the North and Sheffield location, but every time Ive been feels like a blessing. The people who work here, the attention to detail, the shower after the massage, the tea! Oh the ginger decaf tea is amazing! I could go on, but I just want to let the world of Chicagoans and visitors to Chicago know that THIS IS IT! You can stop searching for a massage place. This is the most amazing massage experience you can have in the city. Youll go home and want to take a nice long nap - deep rest! Boom!

Updated and peaceful. The after shower is so relaxing. Right now theyre closed because of covid but its one my favorite parts about it. All the people there are very good. Best massage place Ive went to.

They were totally fantastic. I have not eaten inside a restaurant in months so was a bit apprehensive. But I felt like Urban Oasis went above and beyond to establish procedures and cleanliness during this pandemic. I will absolutely give going again soon.
