Very unprofessional. They posted a job listing looking for bartenders. I messaged the person who had posted it and he gave me the phone number of a guy who I assume is the hiring manager named Fadi Michael, and told me to reach out to him. This was on February 10th. I sent a text and got no response. I then reached out to the employee that had posted the job listing that I have gotten no response after reaching out a couple times. He told me Fadi was on vacation and would get a hold of me when he returns. Would have been nice for Fadi to at least respond and say “I’m on vacation, I will respond when I return” or something along those lines. Just a common courtesy instead of leaving me hanging. Especially when you need bartenders. So came the 14th and still hadn’t heard from him. I reach back out to the person I knew that posted the job listing and he told me that Fadi had so many people reach out he just hasn’t gotten around to responding yet because he just got back from vacation, but told me he would make sure he gets a hold of me. Still didn’t hear anything until 7pm that following Saturday night the 17th, asking me to come meet Fadi at Park Street at 10:30pm… I was already busy and I thought it was weird they wanted me to come in so late on a Saturday and with such little notice. I said I couldn’t, so he said okay they would try to find another time to meet. I go more days without hearing anything. Then the following weekend, Friday the 23rd I get a text at 11:20pm asking me to meet. But this time asking me to meet at Callahan’s. Which I found weird because they do not own that bar, and why do you want me to come meet so late. And again so last minute with very little notice. I was already out with my boyfriend and did not want to go meet them at a bar as we already had plans, especially that late at night. This is very weird and unprofessional. I have never had an interview that late at night, nor do they want me to come meet at a different location. Just seems sleazy to me. I told them I couldn’t go meet that night, and then I never heard from them again. Needless to say I didn’t try reaching out again because I don’t want to work somewhere that handles things in such an unprofessional manner and that have already made me feel uncomfortable without even meeting them yet. They said they needed bartenders but didn’t seem too eager to get anyone. I don’t blame the employee though, this is for sure on the manager.
Man...lots of really good food at a great price and fantastic happy hour prices! I was here with two friends and we should have split the nachos and one appetizer. It is literally the largest nacho appetizer I’ve ever seen (I wish I had taken a photo before we tried to destroy it). We left a lot of great food behind...and each had a $5 pitcher (not a real pitcher but a giant glass and well worth the $5 happy hour price).
I go here for annual get together after a conference. We rent the entire place and it is closed to the public for this private party. The staff is very helpful, the food (taco bar) is plentiful. The outdoor dining is great for COVID, they have really warm heaters on the patio. The indoor area is great for poor weather.
Great show here last weekend. I loved the amount of seating available!!
This place is run down. Said it was open when it was not. There next day I went back they tried to tell me they where open the previous day, Lies. The sink in the mens bathroom is busted off. Bathroom was horrid. Completely understaffed. Its sad, this place has a. Lot of potential. It could be a really good place with better management.
Park Street is not currently serving food, but their drinks are great! We went to a drag show here and had a great time! They are clearly having a couple issues as they reopen: the staff was unaware there was a drag show, the show seated 30 minutes later than it was suppose to, and there was a gas leak on the outside of their building that firefighters had to come and fix.
$18 for two beers is insane, but the bartenders are probably the nicest in columbus
Great live DJ! Great music and great Margaritas!!! Fun to got out and party all night with the girls or have a sexy date night. Chill, relaxed patio area with swings! There are even 3 different bars so you never have to wait on your bartender! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun night out Downtown!!
Probably the best place on Park Street/ Arena District. From the spacious outdoor seating, extensive outdoor bar, swings, and chill vibe, this patio is tough to beat. A dedicated whiskey and tequila bar/ lounge adds to the unique experience.Lastly the the two bars and spacious dancefloor inside makes for great parties, dancing and DJ sets. The staff are super friendly, and they serve up some excellent bar food.I highly recommend stopping by Cantina for an all-around great experience, day or night.
Claimed happy hour on Thursday from 4 to 7. A couple 5 dollar appetizers and 5 dollar 32oz pitches seemed worth the drive from grove city plus parking. I guess they had some events going on that evening so without warning they decided they were not offering any happy hour specials. Bar tender told us they had just decided that several hours ago. So if you plan on going for happy hour you better call first. Other than that decent service and mostly friendly staff.
The drinks specials and relaxed atmosphere are nice during the day, but I would never go here after happy hour. I dont really understand how something can be $5 during happy hour but $17 or higher at menu price. The food is inconsistent, mostly leaning towards bland and disappointing. However, these opinions are coming from ordering happy hour nachos, fajitas, and pizza at $5 each. The staff is always friendly, and the place is never too crowded before events.
The bouncers were amazing and seeing as it was my last night in Columbus, they didnt make me pay cover. I had a great time, dancing with a crowd that, were not the most comely people, but nonetheless were friendlier than most. Definitely need to go when its busier, and have a few more drinks in my next time!
They no longer serve food, but the drinks are great and its a great place for shows in their back area. I went to a drag show, and male review after, had a great time!
Ive been going here for years. Theyve got a really good atmosphere. Good food, drinks, and staff. No cover charge unless its a special event. 4/5 stars because the drinks could be a bit cheaper. Overall, I would recommend going here.
I wasnt much of a fan. We went for the Rose Bowl and Free Tacos event yesterday and I was severely disappointed. Their cook informed us that the tacos were the best in town and ImIsorry, but they really werent. The ground beef wasnt seasoned and neither was the chicken. They were good for what they were, but I prefer Taco Bells tacos. That says a lot. Bouncer/Security was rude. I asked if he found my name on the list and he looked at me, said he was still looking with a nasty tone. Managers were standing around and were too arrogant. I didnt even get thanked for coming into the bar like most restaurants thank you. Horrible experience and I wont be returning.
Definitely a good place to go chill at but wish they had a space to dance at especially if youre going to have djs
The atmosphere is cool. However, the bartender (Shyla I believe was her name) was not great. We waited 25+ min. for a round of shots, never came. Ordered again, and waited additional 5-10min and she never started making them, but continued to take orders from other guest and make them. No one in our party was over their limit, so there was zero reaosn we shouldnt be severed. After no shots,We left. They missed out on money for the business and tip in her pocket (more than likely would have been more than 20% due to us all being in service industry and knowing its a struggle for us all right now)But for a good note, Your door man (who drinks milk by the jug..random fact I discovered last night lol) was very friendly and helpful. Give him a raise.
Went here for an after party after a convention at the local convention center which we do every year. I ordered a drink and paid with a card and the bartender took my card never asking if I wanted to cash out or keep the card open. Just took my card and walked away. She was so busy that I just decided to cash out later. When I went to cash out SHE COULD NOT FIND MY DEBIT CARD. How does a business lose a debit card. I called my bank and my card was charged for the amount, so she had to have taken the card which she said she didn’t. very unpleased. Now I don’t have my debit card and I’m am from another state. The bartender never even apologized, she just disappeared and walked into the back and another man came to help. I was very reasonable and never used unhealthy tones or yelled at anyone. Yet my debit card is still lost and I’ve had to cancel and now be without my card for the rest of my trip while out of town for business.
Margaritas are weak and way overpriced. NO FOOD and no warning until you get in and order a drink and ask for a menu. Servers said they have repeatedly asked the owners to post a sign letting people know the kitchen is CLOSED but they refuse to do so
My friends and I had a lot of fun dancing here. Good music, waitresses in VIP were attentive. Theyre Margaritas are pretty good, but pricey. Ladies, watch out for the creepers!
I didnt have a great experience and dont think Ill be back. I went on a Tuesday night with some friends, and the workers all seemed scattered like it was a Friday night. I wonder if they were understaffed. Our waitress never came back to take our order or give us our bill, so we felt like a nuisance not once but twice. While I didnt experience any push back personally, most other customers didnt appear approachable. I would be surprised if this bar is very inclusive to diversity.
Huge food portions... Food is good, theres just a ridiculous amount of it. Some of its over-salted.Nice loud music for the kids.Main plus was I had an awesome server who was very friendly and helpful. Asked for a lemon drop martini, and she nailed it even though it was her first time making one. Great service makes any place that much better... Good job!
A fun place to go for some socially-distanced cocktails or a beer. The staff is cool and stays on top of keeping everyone safely distanced while keeping up the energy of the place. We had a lot of fun here. The only place in town with swings at the bar!
The service was horrible, waited 3 hours for my brunch order that was never able to recieve because there was a shoot out!!!!!! They allowed a man to walk in a shoot up the place! A few peoole where shot...many where injured including myself bc a man fell on top me damaging my knee and wrist but Thank God i got out with my life ..me and my fiance. I would never go there again. They did not search you for weapons at the door and the security wasnt even armed for protection.I went to celebrate my birthday and could have been a victim to a senseless crime. I wont recommend anyone to go there!!!
Absolutely horrible. We should have known better when the place had less than 10 other customers and it took 15 minutes to get a menu. Another 15 minutes and we were finally able to place an order. 30 minutes after that we still didnt have any food. When we tried to cancel the order multiple bartenders refused to speak to us. The wrong food was brought to our table but since we had been waiting over an hour we tried it. It was all disgusting food. With 20 years experience in the food industry, this is by far the most terrible place I have ever been.
Advertised that Travis Scott would be here after his concert and kept saying that throughout the night but he never showed up at all
The drinks are pretty great here! The music is usually not bad either, easy to dance to and I love the latin mixes they throw in here and there. Last time we mustve visited in a country night or something so I guess there is a night for all kinds of music lovers here.
Went there for Sunday brunch today. It was my first time at Catina and in the area. To my surprise there was a sunday brush buffet. Although the food was GREAT!! The service sucked….and by sucked I mean, no service at all really. The girl bartender that helped us was snarky the entire time. She barely wanted to serve anyone. One of the guy bartenders swatted away bees with a newspaper right in front of us without any regard to our breakfast/lunch. The bees cam directly for us and we had to move because we didnt want to get stung. The bartender never said he was sorry or anything just swatted them in our direction, away from the bar glasses. Again, food=awesome service=crap
Hubby and I were out on a date, it was Halloween night. We sat at one place at the left side from when you come in, inside. Waitress was nice. I went to the restroom, by the time I came back I could see my hubby was irritated. Some other waitress had come and asked us to move to the other bar inside on the right hand side. No-one was there! Hubby ordered the nachos without certain items, our order was wrong and our waiter refused to change it! Do not order the nachos, I wouldnt feed that to my dog! The waiter continued to be super rude! In no time the place was packed with people in costume, the place was so loud we couldnt hear each other, like I said Halloween night!! It all been fine if the staff hadnt been soooo rude!! Also, do not buy anything in Groupon for this place, they wont validate it.
Not my kind of place. The margaritas taste like soda. The chairs arent comfortable.
Cool place to get a drink, hang out, make an idiot of yourself on the dance floor, and probably face plant, in that order 😂. Like all of these bars, if you go earlier in the night you get a different crowd than later at night. When theres a decent crowd at night, its a really fun place to hit up! Realistically if youre coming down here, youll probably hit up a few or all of the bars in your night. So basically, this one is worth hitting up.
What kind of bar does not have Miller lite?I understand that Budweiser is here in Columbus but I dont think you should only carry Budweiser products. They have a limited collection of craft beer in bottles. Nothing was on draft when I was there.Karaoke at 10pm on Tuesday nights. It seems like the adult version of a typical college bar.The music did a nice job setting a fun party environment. The music was clean too, which was nice. The bar definitely looked well used. I think they did a nice job keeping it clean, but only as clean as you can get it after night after night of hard college-like rager and rowdy crowds bumpi g into each other and spilling their drinks everywhere. This place would be pretty lame if there were no people here. The outdoor patio was nice. The food seemed to be ok. Nothing too impressive.
Indoor / outdoor bar. Less college kids than high Street. Let cute girls too. Pretty dope dance club area including VIP and stage with projector and good lighting. Smoke and drink at the same time in the outdoor bar area. Overall a fun time out on Friday or Saturday night.
The atmosphere was very nice loved the 90s music mixed in. Everyone seem to really be enjoying themselves. I felt comfortable. Nice food, cold beer. Ill be back, Hella eye candy for men and women.
It was a great place about 4 years ago. Our visit last night was not good. 5 out of the 6 of us were burnt from the fog machine. Told the manager his response was Ill take care of it he went back and said he put his face under it and didnt feel anything. We beileve it was oil leaking from the machine it was black liquid. We were. Not all burnt at once it was in a 30min time period. Drink were fine just dont go around the fog machine.
Could be so much better. Awesome atmosphere and feel. Open space with a cool breeze blowing and fantastic sound from the recorded music being played. A very cool relaxing hip theme. But thats where it ends. Bar top needed to be wiped clean as it was sticky. Preoccupied staff seemed disinterested in service. One bartender was handling a dirty floor mat and bringing out food orders. The bottled Modelo was cold and refreshing but the chicken fajita plate was very bland. Virtually no flavor and the chicken seemed undercooked.
This place should be closed and criminal charges will be filed against them for the way my guests and I were treated after arriving there Saturday night. Came for a night out to celebrate my sister in laws birthday. We reserved a VIP section for 12 people a week in advance. After we arrived they had given the VIP section we reserved to another party and tried to force us into a much smaller section which only accommodates maybe 4-6 people. After becoming frustrated with their lack of hospitality and unwillingness to compensate us for their mistake we were told to leave. While making our way to the exit (our backs to the security staff) we were shoved several times, men and women included, until we made it out of the establishment. If I could give this place a ZERO I would!
Surprisingly good food for cheap prices (their $12 nachos can easily feed four people for a full meal). Drink prices can be very steep (they charged me $26 for 2 cheap shots and one mixed drink). The dancing is fun and there is a girl DJ who plays sometimes who is very good. I dont know what it is about the place but it does attract grabby men, so be wary while dancing.
Good bar but the place cranks the music up way to early. The place is closed and the barbacks crank the music up while getting ready during the day. 3:00pm is a little early to hear Rap at ear piercing levels. Hire a more mature staff.
The bartender, Letti, was SUPER nice, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The tacos were some of the best Ive had in a long time!
A great place if your thing is over priced drinks and meals. At times they charge 20-60 cover at the door. This is done to keep certainrypes out that the owner doesnt seem worthy. I used to be a server here and the sanitation of the kitchen is horrible. The owners are more concerned with profit than anything else.....
TERRIBLE; If I could give 0 star, I would. A Black man could go to this place with a tuxedo on, and still get turned away. I had to prove this to a few of my White buddies how racist this place was. One time, I approached the gate with 2 Asian female friends after telling them that I didnt want to go to that place, and I was told that they could go in, and I couldnt . I wasnt dressed like a thug, I didnt have a flat-billed baseball cap, etc. Another time I was with some of my White buddies, and a couple of Black friends. We let my White fried approach the door first (because he basically had on the same exact thing as my Black buddy). Take a wild guess who got in and who didnt? The bouncers reason for not letting my Black friend in was because he had camo khakis on (but keep in mind that my White buddy just walked in with the same type of khakis). I advise all people (White, Black, etc) not to eat or party here. I got upset when I walked down Park St. with a White friend of mines for the first time, and he wanted to go in there. I told him that the place was racist, and he e didnt believe me. Thankfully, we ended up going to Gas Works, and i didnt have to deal with the hassle that particular night. Ive read (and heard) stories about how terrible the food is from some of my White associates, Ive read terrible stories about the hiring process towards Black women, and Ive read about Black men whove experienced the same incidents as me. These are people that i dont know, so it has to be true. Yelp also has terrible reviews on this place. I went to their website and they made a statement saying that they consider their place to be like the clubs in the 70s and 80s in regards to how the bouncers treat people who want to enter (Studio 54). Thats a complete lie though. Ive seen Black men turned around, while White men got in wearing the same thing. To be honest, Im surprised its still open. My plan is to eventually open up a bar/bistro in that area with a dress code, better (and unique) food, and better music to narrow the competitors in that area.
I have yet to be here when it’s crowded. Always dead, drinks are good tho and latin night is fun.Update 6/1: No longer has food
3 stars instead of 4 because of the awful bartender Matt (read full review)Went there for their National Margarita day event. The drinks were watered down, basically juice. It was super dull in there during the event but started to get more lively around 930. Before 930 the music was really wack but got better and had a good mixture when the crowd picked up. The bartender Makayla was great though. There was some newer bartender who was really slow. She asked my what I wanted then just went on to do other stuff and came back to me and had to re-ask. Then when we went to the front part to get some food, the bartender whom ordered our food NEVER checked back in. At some point another bartender had to step in to get us silverware, etc. Then I wanted another drink and I had the DISSERVICE of getting Matt as my next bartender. He was super rude and seemed racist. He was very kind to those of his race, he gave away a free drink to one and gave 2 for 1 to another but for me, I didnt get that chivalry. I asked him what something was on the menu his only response was.. tequila not telling me if it was a well, etc. So then I asked is that 2 for $8? He just went about making it. When he returned I said I didnt say I wanted it, I just asked what it was... He looked at me dumbfounded and irritated. I responded welp I guess I gotta have it now since you made it.. he just walked away. Btw it was disgusting and I didnt finish either of them. The other staff were friendly though.
Would have loved to take advantage of your Sunday brunch. We basically stood outside for 20 mins right at 11am and the location was closed. Considering that you advertised the event (I was handed a flyer the day before), I would hope that you would at least be open on time.
Very unprofessional. I booked a party two weeks in advance and emailed them to confirm logistics three days ahead for Kenneth Flick to tell me my VIP table is no longer available. How inconvenient for my party and I and all the planning we did ahead. He told me There are plenty clubs in columbus that can offer you bottle service. Although you can have a good time there the terrible treatment you get from the staff is not worth spending your money.
My first time here and the service was AMAZING. Stephen and Justin are the bomb!! My aunt, cousin and I had a blast on the patio with great vibes and food. Check put their deals on Groupon! Basically.. we are regulars now 😄 sangrita highly recommended
Let me start off by saying I do not leave negative reviews. You really really really have to get under my skin for me to even be confrontational. Park Street got me. Purchased a groupon for the nachos and margarita pitcher. Ordered an additional pitcher of beer as well. There wasnt a price for a pitcher of beer on the menu, but like 99% of bars I assumed it was the best deal. Received the pitcher and 2 glasses... the pitcher filled up 2 glasses... so 2 beers are in the pitcher. Received the bill and it was $18 for the pitcher of beer. I asked for a menu and it said $5 for a beer... still with me? I could have ordered 2 beers and it would have been $10... but I got 2 beers in a pitcher for $18. I questioned the bartender and his response was I dont set the prices. There were around 7 people in the place and now I know why... dont go.. dont buy the groupon. There were more employees in this place than customers. Ruuuuun
The service there was absolutely horrible. They didnt even get busy until about an hour after we got there, yet the waitresses were all running around with their heads cut off and I asked why they didnt stop by our table after waiting for 20 minutes, one said we dont really have sections, we just help each other. It wasnt working. We had to get our own menus from the bar, order at the bar 3 times, and go ask for the check at the bar. We didnt even end up getting our tacos. Not to mention the fact that they dont let you order individual tacos - you have to get 3 of the same kind. For like $14....honey, please. You wont let me order a single taco? You lost my business.
Popped in to get a drink, the place was empty and both bartenders walked passed us multiple times. Then we asked to get drinks and the bartender caught a massive attitude. Not worth it!!!! We just got up and left.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. First time ever visiting was for a whiskey tasting I bought a ticket for. My bf doesnt like whiskey but wanted to just hang out at the bar or stroll with me during the tasting. The guy at the entrance had to think about it for a good minute before he told us my boyfriend couldnt come in. Thing is, you had to have a bracelet and individual red tickets to get the whiskey tastings. There was no reason to deny his entrance especially since he wouldve spent money at the bar. Place was full to capacity and you couldnt even walk to enjoy the tasting anyway. Went to the bar to recoup and the bartenders were too busy flirting to serve any customers. I gave my tickets to some random people and gave up. Worst $20 I ever spent ... to not taste whiskey. Would NEVER recommend this place for a whiskey tasting or anything.
This was extremely bad experience. My food was cold, we were given nacho cheese not queso. They had no variety on taco meat it was all gone this at 11am. My friend was brought something on a taco shell.they were getting something else for her afrter 45 min he returned to say did not know where cook was and gave us the bill. Did not offer any compensation for our patience. With my cold meat and tangy sauce i may be recreating the scene off bridesmaids. Will never go back.
We had a blast there. Service was good. Good place to sit back and unwind during the day. If you go at night they have a small dance floor.
Service was absolutely pitiful. Had to wait almost an hour to get a simple nachos either way almost an hour to get a simple nachos and then wait another half hour to pay our bill service was absolutely pitiful . hair was happy hour and we did not get happy hour. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and looks like Ohio has a lot of funny fooderies around other than this place.
*WHERES MY PAYCHECK*? I originally came to the bar around 4 when it opened, they said come back at 7. Came around 7 sat here waiting and was eventually told checks would be here from 8-9pm. Well, here it is 9pm and I have been told to wait an additional hour. These people dont care about if you have a life or what you have to do as long as you break your back working for them. Communication here is horrible the whole time I never knew who my boss was. Employees are drunks, bosses are rude. As far as the eye can see there is no professionalism here, just bosses waiting to get paid no matter the condition or well being of the staff.
They have great tacos. There is something about their shells that I love. However, I tried the steak taco and it was too greasy and did not taste very good. Otherwise the food is good and the service is good as well.
This is basically a dance club with both outdoor seating and indoor. It has good music and good service for alcohols. The food was really bad probably the worst tacos I tasted ever so sent them back. I was here for Cinco De Mayo so it was pretty fun and colorful ambience.
Ordered Beef nachos last Saturday during crawl for cancer events after party and was given nachos without beef. Paid the extra and everything for them. Unfortunately was not discovered until after we left and attempted to call and no one answered.. I normally only come here once a year and love the nachos but this was very disappointing.
I go to Cantina every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and their great drink specials. I always dress cute but casual and bring male friends of different races and have never had an issue getting in. As long as you dont show up in ankle lenght jean shorts, tims or a white tee you shouldnt have an issue at the door. They keep their crown tight and I appreciate it. Know the dress code ahead of time and you wont have an issue. I have not had a bad drink here and the bartenders always remember my name and what I drink. I love the patio and would recommend this place to anyone. Tasty food and cold drinks! keep up the good work !!!
Went there Friday they claim blender was broke so we couldnt have any frozen drinks! Then order our second drink in which he ran out of the strawberry stuff to make it an brought us a mango drink. only problem neither one of us like mango....would of been nice if he would of ask before taking it up on his self to make us a diff drink then what we order
Never eat at Park Street Cantina!I ordered from there, got home, and was missing the chicken from my nachos I paid extra for. When I called, I didnt get the establishment. I got some office and he was rude and thought that he could take my number for someone to call me back tomorrow. What?! My issue is now. Not tomorrow. I will have eaten something else by then!
Went here for my 21st birthday and they pretty much ruined it. Girls were all dancing up at the back bar in the dancing room, including my friends girlfriends, which was completely fine. The bartenders were spraying them down with fog and whatnot completely objectifying the women. The ladies starting inticing me to join them, after 10 min of them asking me to join them I finally did. As soon as I joined them two bouncers pulled me down by my legs nearly making me fall which was not a short distance. They said I was being kicked out. Sexism at its finist. Drinks were already rediculously expensive, wont ever return here or give them another dime. Thanks for ruining my bday.
The people that work here including the manager are racist. We ordered tacos and when they brought the tacos out they were cold so we told the waitress to heat them up more and when she brought them back they were still cold. So when we decided to leave . the manager did not show up even when we had send the tacos back the second time he still didnt come . Also when We went to talk to the manager he says everyone is there own manager 😒 Smh are you kidding me ??? And the workers (including him) were being rude. I dont recommend this place the people here Are disrespectful.
Stopped in here for a quick Sunday Funday. Our server was bartender who seemed overwhelm not sure how when place wasnt very busy at all. I lover the whole bloody mary bar set up!! So we all had a drink off of that, which was great. Are water and child drink stayed empty for the longest, basically to the point we took turns to going to bar for refills. Once food runner brought are food he noticed no silverware so went to get us some. When server returned me need several condiments and napkins, said he would be right back but of course took awhile. All of our potatoes were cold and not good but then again Im sure if they were hot they may have been. I will admit my son and I burritos were great once we were able to enjoy them.Maybe it was just a bad day for them Im bot sure but super slow service, cold food and bartenders unfamiliar with meun isnt a good look. Did give 2 stars for burrito and nice set up for the one bloody mary I was able to enjoy.
They are very very very racist!!! I waited 30 minutes and was not greeted.3 different groups (white people) came in after us and they were all greeted and served!! The waitress (of Asian descent) walked passed our table with her head down so she wouldnt make eye contact with us.Places like this should not be open in 2016. #BoycottParkStreet
We are at Park Street Cantina as I write this. We are in the Arena district to see a concert. We got here almost an hour and a half ago and ordered two drinks and an order of nachos. We still have not recieved our nachos but have already paid. I would not recommend coming here.
Came here to meet up with an old friend I hadnt seen in some time, but was refused entry because they said they didnt allow sweatpants in their bar. Bouncer suggested I go home and change before coming back. I see this place shutting down in the near future.
I guess this is one of those times that I write just a very blah review. Im not a fan of me writing negative reviews unless its really called for so lets just say that if I were going to be a late night drunk this would be a place I might like to be found. Otherwise, for a Cinco de Mayo lunch time visit with friends this is not something I would recommend. Here are some reasons why I feel this way:A. Its Cinco de Mayo lunch so I pay $20 for a fish bowl type sized Margarita on the rocks. I could have had a better drink from a pop machine. Oh it was so over the top with that line based mix that it was pretty much something you just had to use to get the food down not something you would enjoy or at least I didnt.B. The bartender started out as our server or taking the order I guess thats what you might want to call it but thankfully he never came back we ended up with a server who was really good for that environment.C. Its called food but I will just refer to it as a prefab-Im hungry-so lets just go ahead and eat it situation from the menu. Absolutely zero taste in anything that I put into my mouth. The food temperature was lukewarm at its best. Presentation there really wasnt any at all.D. It was so so cold and rainy that day and the wind was blowing. I wish they had shut the overhead doors to allow you to feel like youre actually safe from the weather but no those Overhead Doors stayed up the entire time we were there. People were really cold and complaining but nobody seemed to be concerned. It was a spot on Cinco de Mayo close to downtown that we attempted to have a decent lunch and drinks that word decent is non-existent at Park Street Cantina. In my mind and Im being serious with you the only reason I would go there from this point forward would be if it were at night time get drunk and loud and crazy type of situation so Im out.
A very boring place. Nothing but a bunch of creepy guys staring at everyone. The security here is over the top. They scan your license, take your picture, and they are not kind or welcoming. I advise to avoid this place like the plague unless you want to feel like you are being interviewed by the CIA. Ill never be back.
Too many people on the weekends, cant even more on the dance floor! Ladies not a place to be if you want a night out with your friends because the boys treat you like theyve never seen women before
Cheaply done. Their taco buffet was a poor excuse at a Marketing ploy. However, they have good beers for low prices. The food was just awful, though
Absolutely ridiculous. My Id was said to be “fake” when it was in fact real. I have never had this issue anywhere else. They took my picture with their new system and on Friday the 13 I was allowed in no issues but when I came back Saturday the 14 and had lipstick on the bouncer said my Id was fake and gave it to the cops. I find this absurd as I am 23 and my ID is very much real and I have never had A fake. I will never go back to Cantina because of this. Seriously ridiculous. Get a better scaning system. I am also upset bc my male cousin was behind me and the bouncer only looked at his Id. Didn’t even scan it or take his photo like every other female. And then let him go ahead on in while I was questioned by police for a vet real ID. Absolutely absurd.
Caught a lobster out of their machine and did not give me anything for it. They said I had it for 45 minutes but only had it for 5 minutes to show my friends because I was excited I caught it from their lobster claw machine. Had no appreciation for their customers at all and ripped me off. Besides that the place was filled with old timers who were young wanna bes and I wouldnt go back their regardless
Terrible bar. I’m not from here and I didn’t even get pass the so called “security”. They profile and they’re racist. The bouncer was very rude to me and snatch my I.D out of my hand but gets mad when I try to tell him he was wrong but he decided not to let me in including the “manager” who didn’t know what was going on in the first place and accused me of trying to sneak in. Neither of them listened to reason and of full of their ego. I felt very disrespected and treated unfairly especially how they handle a situation with a woman. NEVER AGAIN.
This place is not a place you want to go to my girlfriends 21st bday was on Wednesday she and friends were aloud in VIP and they wouldnt let me and my buddy in even though it was my girlfriend. I let her have a good time and dId my own thing with a buddy. Guy approached my girl then I came right after and another dude got in my face with a hoodie up and seemed to have bad intentions further then fighting . Obviously soon after we headed out but theres a very bad vibe in there and seems like nasty ass people attend and no hoodies should be covering your face the bartender and anyone else around me didnt try to defuse the situation but further more just wont ever be going back. Staff is disrespectful as well. Deserves NO STARS
Definitely cheap. $5 for everything. But one person running the bar and tables, and (1 one) person working the whole kitchen. What a joke of downtown Columbus, Ohios own top club owners / restaurant management teams not giving a $?!T. Wow.
They didnt answer the phone even though its during business hours. I was calling to see if I had left my credit card there and each time I called the time it took for me to be sent to voicemail got shorter and shorter which means someone is there and purposely not picking up. So ridiculous. If youre a business you need to pick up your phone.
This is the Nr.1 place to go to meet people between 21-35.Big dancefloor, good music but you need to now that the average beer price in short north is about 5$ and up.
AWFUL!! RACIST! I went there to celebrate the completion of one of my exams with my friends. First off, one of my friends was not dressed the right way so they charged him 20 dollars to enter even though we had already paid VIP. We arranged a VIP with Kenny which was for 250 dollars for berry Ciroc with a free bottle of champagne. We ended up having to pay 250 dollars for Grey Goose with champagne. The cocktail waitress never showed up again after the initial interaction. Towards the end of the night my fiancé got JUMPED by the bouncers for no apparent reason as we were leaving the place. They initially asked my fiancé to walk to the back room, which he denied to do because we were heading towards our Uber. I was pushed to the ground trying to push off the bouncers from my fiancé, I have bruises and scratches to prove it. My phone and wallet are missing. I hope this place gets shut down.
Terible place! So unprofessional, HAS Roaches in the kitchen also but the owner and one of the health department workers are friends so they let that slide . Food always takes forever , Been served with a roach in my food . Meat has been un done a couple of times that ive been served. No one is worried about the needs of the customers only about themselfs. The boss does not run the place well at all!!! Go here if you dont mind the slums . I definitely would not recommend this place at all terible !!! This place needs shut down ASAP .
I dont care what anyone says the swings are freakin awesome. Our drinks were huge and very reasonably priced. Everyone was friendly. Food was decent.
Ive been to this place twice and it is one of my favorites. Big area, lots of seating, and a pretty big dance floor. If you are wanting to have fun and dance with some friends, I would recommend this place.
So Cantina has a no sweat pants policy. Which is understandable, businesses can set whatever attire rules they wish. Frankly, sweat pants arent very classy for a night on the town anyways. But if theyre going to enforce a no sweat pants policy, they should be able to correctly identify what sweat pants actually are. The doorman had trouble with this, but have no fear, were here to help Cantina. The first 2 pictures (Grey & charcoal) are examples of a sweat pants. I know its difficult for you guys, but please, try and pay attention. The 3rd picture is an example of something that ISNT a sweat pant as opposed to the other 2 examples we provided you. These are simply CROPPED dress slacks. Notice the difference. These look like, well, dress pants, with an accenting strip down the side, you know, for look versatility. I know it might be difficult to distinguish between them, but please try. The more you know *Shooting star*.
Cool place chill spot love the swings outside. Service was bad. We came on a Tuesday night hardly anyone there about 4 bartenders 6 customers and it took forever to get someone to take my order. Drinks ok food was ok
Very fun bar. I enjoyed it alot, the manager was nice but the guys working the door were pretty rude. Fast service on drinks, great music
St Patricks Day was a blast. Also had a great time at the I love the 90s event last weekend. Look forward to seeing some cool DJs in the future.
Stop! Me and many of our friends stop going here after hearing how the security treated a few of our Indian and African American friends. This place has had continuous issues with the mistreatment of people for years and continues to have the same people and policies in places. So sad.
Seriously the WORSE bar on Park Street. Complete with sticky floors and immature baby guards. Look forward to feeling Regret when you come here. The head of security also has a very fragile masculinity but pretends he’s a stoic so tread lightly. He’s more explosive than a baby with diarrhea. You’re been forewarned.
Poor. John Taffer needs to help this place desparately! I felt sorry for the bartender. She was tending bar, serving food and at one point was in the kitchen helping the cook. The food was mediocre at best. If you live west of the Mississippi and are uses to great Mexican food, do not go here.
So extremely disappointed in the way the staff handled a group of 5 people. basically told people , were really not a restaurant, were a bar that serves food and itll be at least an hour before you might get food..hour wouldnt have been bad , had the 4-5 groups that came in after we wrote down our order and turned it in to the guy behind the bar.. all got food and we never did.. left and took our money somewhere else..
Tuesdays night, they were off their game. Because of a big party coming in they didnt do or honored any happy hour services. Sad to say that this may the evening not as much fun as it could have been.
Worst place ever!!!! The staff are dumber than a box of rocks. We tried to order drinks from the menu and they said they didnt have. Tried to order something else and they said they didnt have. This is a sat early evening . We finally just left after sitting for almost 15 mins before anyone acknowledge us. Folks dont waste your time or money.
They hosted a 4th of July bar crawl and stated “drink specials at the surrounding bars” but failed to tell the bars about the bar crawl. Paid $13 for an ugly t-shirt and overpriced alcohol. Outside of that, service is regularly horrible at Cantina and the owner is racist.
Absolutely terrible service! Server didnt bother to check on us. Drinks were empty for well over 20minutes. Finally got sick of waiting requested the bill and took 30minutes to collect that. Will never return!
Security is on a power drive . The club is overpriced for no reason. I’m happy CPD is there to help regulate the crowd, without it would be a bunch of cowards acting tuff.
Well I will apparently add to the list of people whove seen what can only be described as racism. We(white girl, black guy and myself) were in line at Cantina and that old fat loser, who stands out front and does nothing except talk to the police, came over and told my buddy(the black one in the group) that his polo was too long to get in. *side note* The polo wasnt too long. It was longer than I would wear but Im 6 and hes 56. Hes not easily getting polos that fit him how Id wear them but the polo was worn in Vegas with no issues. *back to the story* So my buddy tucked his shirt in(cant be too long then) to remedy the issue but the same loser from before went over to the guy checking IDs and told him not to let my friend in. After seeing this, my other friend(little white girl) went and asked if he had an issue with my black buddy and the guy had the audacity to say yes.Im not one that typically gets too worked up over this stuff because racism isnt my default explanation for anything. However, this one was worth sharing because this seems to be a trend with this place.
Service was abysmal with a full staff on a light work load and an easy order. Burnt food. Orders took forever and came incomplete or not at all. Waiters were clueless and the most unprofessional Ive ever seen.
Garbage. Went to a whiskey tasing there and didn’t get in until 25 mins after they said they would open and blamed everything on the whiskeys reps who were all there on time. Very easy to see management is bad and employees complain about management.
It is literally one of the worst restaurants I have been to. Terrible service. The salsa is pureed canned tomatoes. The food was so bad. Im not quite sure how this place still has business. really a shame since the patio is kinda cool.
The place was to crowded and there were a lot of underage drinkers there who confessed that they pay more to the door person, who lets them in without asking for is and that there is a clicker that is suppose to be clicked for head count due to fire safety laws, that doesnt get clicked for them because they are in their illegally. I defiantly will stick to a smaller bar or club to visit.
The atmosphere is great and lively! The bartenders are quick and efficient! 🎶🍸 great place for drinks and dancing! Live dj when we were there
Great place for meeting new friends! Always good music in two different vibes. Great drinks and friendly staff!
Biggest margarita in town was great me and my friend shared one together and still couldnt finish it. Nice crowd to enjoy with good food and music.
I always have an amazing time here. Emily and Ivy are always so wonderful & nice. I specifically go here just for them!! The food is yummy and the drinks are so good!!
As much as I want to love this place because of the set up and outside bar, and drinks. Your not going to get the best experience being black here. They make it very obvious they dont want you here.
The service backed up and was behind. I can forgive that but DO NOT order the enchiladas. They drench it in a sour sauce that completely overwhelms the dish. Im talking warhead level sour. Sour candy level sour. They use American cheese for everything, their queso tastes like grocery store frito nacho sauce. The meat is not fresh and tastes frozen.
Was my go to place while in Columbus. This and the Brothers. The crowd was good but they sometimes charge a $5 entry fee which doesn’t make sense.
Dress Code Policy is specifically aimed at Black Men dont believe me? go to their website. Brothers and sisters spend your black dollars somewhere else.
Were there for a private event as d the service was really good, especially Beth. She was very attentive and super polite. Kudos.
This is my favorite spot to come in Columbus! They have an amazing atmosphere and although it does get a little packed, you can always escape to their patio for some fresh air. :D
There was a lot of spaces, but it was crowded. The restrooms smelled like urine and puke. You had to hold your breath. They do have a lot of drink options and several bars to order from.
During park street festival they are worried about dress code im in jean shorts and a shirt and so are some friends. We wanted to go in and have fun but was denied. You all want business let up on the dress code for the festival.i wont bring or recommend this place. You guys let people with jean pants in but not jean shorts.
Great drinks and music. Wasnt crowded at all. Such a wonderful night🥰😘
The bartenders purposely water down the drinks I watch three of them do the same thing each time they made drinks I dont know if theyre trained that way but if I order a drink it shouldnt taste like watered down ice plus the one bartender skipped over us several times to serve the others before Us I didnt wanna order any drinks I was ready to go but my friend insisted we stay and have a drink and they did the water down move on his drink too lol yeah I wont be back
We love having drinks and a snack in the open courtyard under an umbrella. Dont order the large plate of nachos unless you have 6 in your party.
$36 for 2 shots straight scamming...no wonder it was so dead.
Loud and obnoxious to the point of not being able to hold a conversation. Inattentive bartenders who seem bothered that I would like a drink.
Wasnt impressed with the food or the service. didnt realize its a buffet style taco joint. food was cold and im sure mass produced vs. authentic. either way, im not going back
I wanna give them 5 stars, but Everytime Im here the service is slow. Not bad, just slow.Other than that, the food and atmosphere is AMAZING
I have been going here forever the crowds vary in age and they offer great happy hour options Sundays are my favorite.
Most awful service I have ever had! Charged extra for fries that were included on menu which waitress said menu was wrong and there was no button in register for it!!! Food not great! Awful service, no thanks! Sucks!
The food sucks, its all about the party. which has one of those mysterious dress codes that just shows up on random people at the door. take the paper bag test. if you fail, stay home
This place is HUGE. They have quick service and a big dance floor with a stage. I really like their drinks too.
Great place to dance.. enough space to sit down with your date, or hangout with your group.. gets really busy and the service could be slow for this reason..
Fun little bar to go to. Its pretty cool on Saturday. Decent on Thursday too. A little go to spot for my monthly outting with my girls.
Bartender only really tend to males. And will let a female sit forever before serving. unless, theyre with a large of us.
I was there for a seminar they had buffet style Mexican, but it was for the seminar. The food was excellent, and the beers were cold. I will be going back.
I had my 32nd birthday after party celebration here..loved it..great strong drinks..plus the music was on FIRE..that night. All the hits..
Cool atmosphere, but food was horrible. Everybody isnt drunk at 1:30a., so the kitchen should cook like its 1:30p
Good food. Amazing tequila and whiskey selections. Can get rather loud and crowded/club-like on weekends.
RACIST AS F**K. They wouldnt let Black people into the club. Made a BS excuse about white tennis shoes. Then let the next white guy in with white tennis shoes in with no question. Blew my mind. Its 2016 for f**k sake.
RACIST STAFF AND THEYRE GHETTO AND UNPROFESSIONAL. IF YOURE OF ETHNIC DECENT I RECOMMEND BOYCOTT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. RUDE STAFF AND THEIR DRINKS ARE WATERED DOWN. DO NOT GO HERE AS ITS OVERRATED. ZERO STARS.
I went here for drinks and nachos and the nachos were FLAVORLESS. The drinks were good but I will never order food from here again. It was absolutely disgusting
Nice patio! But service was slow and the nachos were pretty average. Good margarita deal on Sundays though.
Great staff, great drinks an amazing food! I went here on a Saturday an the DJ had the place going wild!!!
I dont understand how theyre turning a profit; I got two drinks for about six bucks. Super popular place even when OSU is on break.
We had great company! The food and drinks were okay. Not the best, but we had a good time with family.
Staff seemed unorganized. Waited more than 30 minutes for our food and drinks taste watered down. Dont think Ill be back
Annie our bartender was great. The food and service were really good and we had a great time here.
They water down drinks. Fill up top shelf bottles with bottom shel alcohol. Long waits etc. Not the place to go for anything.
Pretty great club, plays good music, pretty quick people at the bar to get you your drink as well!
This is a good place to party, the only thing I have a problem with is the owner (or maybe just a manager) is always standing by the line at entrance and discriminate on people based on their race in my opinion.
Lauren is one of the best bartenders Ive had in a long time. Cant wait to go back. Go see her
Never once have I enjoyed this place to say the least denied access even when following the dress code. Bouncer discriminate on looks as well.
Only had cocktails..didnt not have my favorite tequila so I tried a different one...atmosphere was great
Always a great time, each bartender makes drinks WAAAAYYY differently tho. Usually they will fix it if you ask them too though
Went for a concert and after waiting a while it was a great show. Machine gun Kelly out on a great show after getting started after midnight.
Great atmosphere! Great place to dance and have fun! Drinks were on point😁
The few times Ive been to Park Street Cantina, the service has not been great. Plenty of other bars nearby that are worth spending your money on.
Horrible service, over cooked and forgotten food. Only cool thing is a few swings for chairs at the bar.
Service is really slow at the bar. I would recommend going to other bars if youre already on Park Street
Bartenders are great bottle girls where on it all night kept them bottle cold and coming i recommend this place to anyone trying to enjoy an evening
Having to pay for entry is worth when you have good music playing here all the time. The most popular place for sure.
Nice place little over crowed great place get drinks they dont seem to water it down like some places do. But hard find place to sit
Drinks were weak and pricey music took me back to the early 2000s love the owner and dance floor
Disappointing. I had been there at least 5 times before and it was great. This time the food was terrible. Grisly ground beef. Disappointing Nachos. I hope it was a 1 time bad deal
Didnt love the food but the place is nicely decorated and the area outside is well suited for the summer.
Had fun it was free to get in. Drinks werent watered down. Lots of creepy guys tho lol probably because its free lol
It was packed. Drinks came fast. Music was good. Crowd was live. Everyone was in a good space.
They are literally never open. Tried 3 different times to come here and according to Google and their Facebook they shouldve been open, but werent.
Hands down ,The worst club in the central ohio Area, racist, discriminating ,guy at the door that wont let you in if you look mexican /latino. Go spend your money at a different place.
I was supposed to work an event there but was over staffed
Great bar that I usually go out. Upper the game and made new years a absolute blast!!!
Decent spot for drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced.
Terrible service. music too loud . price way to expensive. servers not good at all. food was not great!
What a great place. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service & delicious food. I highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
They wouldnt let my brother in for wearing white shoes but we seen 2 others go in wearing the same pair... Racism at its finest
My sister brought me there. Drinks was ok music was good
Drinks were good, food was not even close to what we ordered and was SLOW. We won’t be back again sadly.
Be aware they will put a 60$ hold on your debit card without you knowing, and it takes a few days for it to drop off
GREAT happy hour specials; food and drinks. Bar inside and outside. Fajitas are tasty.
Great place to have a good drink, and listen to some music while enjoying the atmosphere.
I ordered 8 shots of Jager and each one came out maybe 1/2 of an ounce. The tab for that was $64... You be the judge...
Good vibes, plenty women. I got hit on with work clothes on& food from work. Two thumbs up.
Hard to find parking without paying 10$.under staffed.I had to wait 25 minutes for a drink.I was told it would take an hour for food on a Thursday evening.
Food wasnt great, but the service and margaritas are really good. Would go back at night for the drinks!
Hey you know what these guys havent closed my tab and wouldnt return my credit card instead they kicked me out , how can a bartender be so reckless with a customer cardI hope they get this and make it right..
Fantastic, fast service. always make sure to take care of you. best bar in cbus!
Chill crowd, good music & fast drink service. For my first time, I enjoyed myself
This place is shut down smh
Good music. Good food... loved the monster nachos! Good drink selection!
Place is a RIP off bartenders arent friendly and they charge you for their mistakes and tend too run the tab .. will never open a tab at that place again
Had alot of fun, the staff was friendly and good cocktails
Owners pick and choose who enters. Theres better places to spend your money at.Dj is good
Great place for nachos. Also not too busy for lunch like most of the places by the convention center.
