Zen Massage - Cornelius, NC

I’ve had two massages with Quiara, she is absolutely the best. My body feels amazing, so relaxed and melted all the tension and muscle knots away. Definitely book with Quiara and if she recommends a particular massage, follow her recommendation because she knows what she’s doing and what you need!

This review is for the facial I received NOT the massage (the massage I got from Kayla today was one of the best ever)! Zen called me yesterday to add on a facial for a $10 discount at the end of my massage and I said sure. I’ve gotten facials before but never here. The esthetician seemed annoyed and rushed. She never explained anything she was putting on my face or what she was doing. Applied everything very quickly / abrasively so it wasn’t relaxing. She was also listening to something with headphones which I could hear and was constantly washing dishes in between products so it was not a calming environment. Extractions were SUPER painful, I know they are normally uncomfortable but this was next level I had to ask her to stop. Most of time was spent just sitting with a mask or product on my face and listening to whatever she had on her headphones - no facial massages or anything.I also don’t believe my $10 was applied lol but didn’t feel like fighting it. Will be back for a massage but will never do any other service again!

Update ::: The owner called and apologized for the experience I had which made me feel a lot better and reassured me this is not how his business is normally ran . After talking to him I’m willing to give this location another chance , for me Customer Service is Everything and the Owner went above and beyond to make it right . ThanksGood Morning, just wanted to let you guys know I along with my husband was at your location yesterday for a couples massage and had a bit of difficulty. My husband’s Threapist was amazing he had no complaints he said it was one of the best massages he has ever had . However my experience was not so great my therapist didn’t even tell me his name but did make sure to let me know he was visually impaired, which I absolutely had no problem with , however several times during my massage he scratched me his nails were too long I told him he was scratching me and he said “I didn’t feel anything” and I was like but I did . This was super rude it really made my anniversary massage with my husband horrible. I did let the lady at the front know but she was a little frazzled as she said today was the 1st day she was working the desk alone , she had some difficulty with my payment as we were given a gift card . I know things are challenging with everything that’s going on in the world but at a place you come to relax you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your peace .

Honestly, I hate that I had to give this place a star at all. It was definitely not an experience I want to try again. First off, I didnt get to utilize my own gift certificate for my birthday here because when I made the appointment it wasnt explained to me that I would need to let them know in person that I was there on a certificate. Although when I made the appointment, that information was given and I was given a code as if they were going to honor it when I come in. How am I supposed to know unless being told that I need to mention again that Im using a certificate?. It doesnt make sense. Secondly, my massage was not good at all, even after expressing the concern nothing was done about it. Im over it.I would like to add, your response is a HUGE lie, please make sure you know what client youre referring to before you respond. No one showed me anything on my phone, I didnt even realize that the gift card that my husband purchased for my birthday back in January for my visit in March wasnt applied to my purchase that day as I paid for other products. It wasnt even realized until I called back and asked what all I paid for, which was why I made another appointment to utilize the gift card that I was NEVER able to use. This was WRONG and basically money wasted. I love when companies try to reply in defense rather than professionalism and sincerity in trying to fix the problem. 😂 Please have a good night. Just do better.

I didnt have an appointment and they were able to get me in quickly. Taryn was fantastic, explained a lot and did a great job. I feel 100 percent better. Will definitely be back.

First time visiting Zen Massage. The environment was peaceful and relaxing. My MT, Greg, was very professional and did a great job with my problem areas, especially with the fascia scraping technique. At the time, I didnt know what he was doing, I just felt that the tension was literarily scraped away with his movements. It was awesome! Will definitely return and strongly recommend Zen Massage!

This place was amazing! I was searching all over for somewhere to get a prenatal massage. Everywhere was booked out for multiple weeks + had NO weekend availability! I had a friend recommend Zen Massage - Cornelius, and was able to find an opening/time that fit my schedule right away! Sam was incredible, I will definitely be coming back to see her before my little one arrives!

Such a great experience! The passion of the whole staff was obvious, they love what they do and where they are working. I cant recommend Zen enough!

Kiara gives the best massage I’ve ever had. It’s like she can see through skin and targets every single knotted muscle, making you feel like a brownie in a bowl and her hands are the warm chocolate syrup. I’ve been in pain for a month and now feeling like melted ice cream 😊. Highly recommend her!

My therapist was Carolyn and hers was Greg. Both are very professional. Carolyn was outstanding. As someone who weight trains and engages in combat sports, a massage like today makes recovering much easier and my mind much clearer.Thank you for all your services!

Jenna and Simone are my two favorite therapists. They both have their own unique techniques, but the quality is uniquely consistent and makes Zen a pleasure to visit. The front desk personnel is personable and greets me by my first name. I also love that I can just walk in without an appointment. The tables are perfect with adjustable temperature settings. I am looking for the next time they run the (3) massage special. That is really a great gift idea.

I really enjoyed my massage here, I would honestly have to day it was probably one of the best I have ever had. It was quiet, clean and overall just a relaxing environment. The masseuse and the gentleman at the desk were both very pleasant, and when I made the appointment, the lady on the phone helped me pick what massage would be best for what ailments I was looking to have addressed.

Went for a couples massage with my mom. She had the visually impaired man and she really enjoyed it. However, I had Noshua, and I dont know if she was new, but I did not find it enjoyable. She focused too long on the right side of my back. She literally did one side at a time instead of using some time to massage my entire back. The last 10 minutes of the session she had me turn over and lay on my back just to do a half-hearted massage on my feet, legs and arms. Hardly any pressure, and she only did my upper arms, not even my forearm. Additionally, there was issues with the computer system sending my receipt which eventually got resolved, but it would have nice if the receptionist offered the option to just print the receipt. Since it was my moms first time getting a massage and I was gifting her the experience, I didnt want to make a fuss about it, so I went ahead and paid and tipped her as I do understand the industry especially since COVID, however I would NOT recommend Noshua until she has some more experience. The only positive was that her hands were warm, but my muscles still feel the same. I would recommend the Huntersville location as it seems the massage therapists there are more experienced, apply better pressure, and most importantly do WHOLE HEARTED massaging!UPDATE: I initially gave a 1 star because of the initial comment, but the owner reached out and were able to come to a reasonable resolution.

Kayla was great! She was very engaging and asked exactly what I wanted as well as make sure I was comfortable. Definitely one of the best massages I’ve had while visiting Zen.

We went in for a couples massage. They fit us in no problem with the short notice which was great! Girls at the front desk were so sweet and very friendly. We got massages from Brooke and Diane they were AMAZING!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This was our first visit to zen massage and we are already planning a second! Keep up the great work ladies! Went to the Zen Massage in Cornelius for the first time today and enjoyed the experience. I got the one hour Swedish massage and Sam, my massage therapist , was knowledgeable and friendly and she did a great job making me feel comfortable and asking about what areas she needed to concentrate on. I will definitely be returning again!!

We had an excellent experience here! My boyfriends first massage and he loved it. The staff are so nice and respectful of your needs and answer any questions you have. They didnt push me into buying anything, either. Everything was available at the counter to browse, but no annoying upselling like at other places Ive been to. And the prices were very reasonable too for the Cornelius area. Definitely worth it!!

My therapist did a fantastic job! I told him all of my concern areas and areas of pain and he made sure that they were completely addressed before I left! I had a 2 hour massage and I definitely recommend you get a longer massage because it lets you relax much more; also gives your therapist ample time to work on any problem areas you may have. I will definitely be going back!

The Zen Massage salon is lovely; clean, quiet and friendly. I had a Wonderful deep tissue massage today by massage therapist, extraordinaire, Simone. I have hip and lower back issues.With her skilled hands, she was spot on with finding those trigger points and working them out. It was a relaxing hour of relief. I would recommend Zen Massage in Cornelius NC for a terrific massage at a very reasonable price.

I visited Zen Massage for my first deep tissue experience. My massage therapist was excellent in helping target problem areas in my back, and helped bring me some relief to pain I have been having. Love that there’s no pressure to sign up for a contract or even to book another appointment. I will definitely be returning.

I booked a last minute appointment the day before and the staff was very helpful in assisting me via phone. At the location the lobby was inviting and the staff greeted me immediately and got me checked in. My provider was kind and warm and asked what I was looking for, then responded to those areas. She let me set the pace for talking during the massage, was very professional, communicated well about pressure, and obviously skilled at neuro-muscular therapy.

I had the best massage I have ever had in my life here. Nailah is masterful. I feel like a whole new person today. 10/10 recommend this location.

This was my first visit to Zen Massage and I have to say it was wonderful! My therapist, Priscilla was fabulous. The place is clean. Everyone seems to be taking health precautions seriously and the price is great. One of the best massage sessions I’ve ever had!

I love this place. Latecia (idk how she spells her name- sorry!) gave me the best massage I’ve ever gotten. She knew I had been selecting the wrong style taking my health issues into consideration - and I was surprised to find that type was $10 cheaper than the one I had scheduled. All the ladies there are nice and friendly, and I really look forward to my regular visits. I’ve been going here about a year now, exclusively. They also carry great skincare products.

We celebrated my sisters bday here and it was great! The staff is super friendly and professional. They went above and beyond for us and set up the Zen Den with some special touches too. There were 7 of us and we were all very happy and relaxed :) I strongly recommend!

Best massage I’ve ever had! And I’m picky. Allen was my massage therapist. I am on my feet all day everyday and so I like very deep pressure and he was able to give that the whole time. He was also very professional and very knowledgeable about massage therapy. Next time I will get a 90 minute!

I tried facial here for the first time. I normally get a massage and so far so good. So, I decided to get a facial. I got the acne facial. It was an okay experience but I don’t think I will do facial here again. My face swelled and it was very itchy the next day. I honestly don’t know if it’s from the products used on my face, the rough scrubbing or the cleanser that was recommended to me that I now stopped using. I don’t know if I’m allowed to return the cleanser I got since I’m very disappointed with it. I am not sensitive to any skin care products before so this is really weird to me.

My lower back had been hurting for days. So I went in for a 30 min. just on my back and Noshua did an incredible job! I woke up this morning with no pain!

This was my first time at Zen and I had Kat for a 30 minute massage. She did wonderful cant wait to go back. I was in alot of pain and feeling 100% better. Place is clean and was in and out! Thank you

Long days at a business conference, standing on hard concrete. Getting the feet, valves and lower back massaged makes the weekend relaxation easier. I would have a longer recovery of the muscles, without Zen. Thanks

Natasha is a terrible massage therapist. Got a massage two weeks ago; felt like I was being strangled. Called and was told the owners would be contacting me to discuss the poor service. They never called. Wont be going there again.

Walked in and was able to book a 30 min massage and it was actually very nice. I was worried because I do believe to really get the full affect you need a full 90 minutes, but I did feel relieved of some major tension after the massage. I would go back.

Amazing!! It was truly a very comforting space and i felt very welcomed. I was asked specifically what my concerns were and throughout the massage i was given recommendations on how to improve those concerns. Seriously amazing and I’ll be back.

IveI been to this Zen location a few times. Every time has been great. I have onlo seen three therapists, one guy and two females. They all were very professional, but at the same time, they all had their own unique style. I would recommend Zen and plan on returning real soon.

Place is a joke. Cancel on you at the last minute. I asked them for a cancellation fee since they would have charged me if I cancel at the last minute. I did go there almost every week. Never again place is a joke.Keith, I see your reply. I was upset on the phone you are correct. But at the same time I asked for you to call me and you never did. Again car being broken down is not excuse for not showing up to work. Pleople take Uber all the time to work. Esspecialy when my normal tip would have covered her Uber trip. Main reason the place is a joke is you didnt call me back as I was one of your better clients.
