If you are looking for luxury near the beach, then this ain’t it. If you’re looking for cheap and an “okay” room to sleep in while you’re at the beach, then this is for you. We took a chance on this room after reading some decent reviews. We thought it would be nice enough for us to enjoy but it was a complete disappointment. The first thing we noticed when we entered our room was the smell. It smelled musty and old. Things appeared to be somewhat clean but not “clean-clean” if you know what I mean. Definitely could use a proper deep clean. There was splattered old food on the walls by the counter and on the microwave. There was, what I’m assuming, vomit on the bed skirt. We asked for it to be changed and we were informed that they didn’t have any sheets to replace it on hand and that theyd have to call the manager to bring a replacement. So far they haven’t replaced it (will update when or if they do). Typical old and used outdated shower. Could use an updated shower curtain. Had soap scum on the ledge still. I would recommend showering with flip flops on. I don’t think i took my shoes off at all. Carpets are…well carpets. They’re stained in some places and could probably be updated. I don’t know, for me, this place is nothing more than 2 stars at most. Just depends on what your looking for.

It’s a true “motel”. Very basic. It is very loud in the room from neighbors and vehicles. None of the doors would close. Entry door was stuck. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Fridge door drags. No security on the front door. Just one lock. Carpets were sketchy but room appeared clean. Took family but wouldn’t take them back. I would be ok staying on a fishing trip with a buddy at $50/night.

All Positives: Great location, reasonable pricing, no frills, clean, hotel. Parking in front of each room. A/C works amazing in the heat of the summer, after a day at the beach. Microwave, table and chairs, mini frig, coffee maker in each room. Negatives: No beach access on the property and no golf cart access.

The rooms dont look anything like the pictures on the website.. Very few light bulbs 💡 1 window ac! Mirrors are written on. Restroom door looks like it has blood all over it. Carpet is stain. There is a water heater in the room cover by falling panel. TV has no internet or anyway to view even for the $59.00 I spend to stay 1 night I think I would have been better of booking at a motel 6

The motel is a bit dated and could use some minor work - some old outlets could use replacing along with the wall A/C units, and just some other wear and tear on the room. But the beds are comfortable and the room is clean. They offer free wifi for guests. But most importantly to me, the staff was wonderful and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Very good value for the price and would stay again.

The room was great! The room was very clean, bed was comfy, and I will definitely book it again.

Being on the island I thought it’d be a nice place, given the flow of tourist.Sheets were obviously not cleaned, mold on the mattress cover, brownish stains on the sheets, mold along the bathroom trim, and red spots all over the shower curtain like a poorly cleaned murder scene. (Not rust spots)If you want a mid priced hotel and don’t mind sleeping in the previous tenants filth, this is the place to go.Not worth the money spent, wish I had gotten a refund.

Solid 5 stars for this place. We were a bit taken aback when we arrived because our room was still being cleaned. A quick walk to the office and it was sorted out immediately.The room was spacious and clean. The AC was COLD. Bed was a bit firm, but comfy. The restroom was clean, and water pressure was perfect. The TV offered up a ton of channels, including movie channels.The hotel is an older place, which is reflected in the exterior and the grounds. Don’t let it detract you from booking, though. This place was great. It’s a short drive to some quiet beaches. It’s surrounded by amenities that are within walking distance. As an added bonus, this hotel accepts dogs up to 60 lbs for only $10/night. Our 55 pound pooch was very comfortable. 👍🐶

I cant rave enough. Ive stayed in budget hotels that were in terrible shape and unclean for higher price and while this one is obviously on the older side, it is very well-kept. Beds were comfortable, I felt safe, amenities all worked and the room was clean! What more can you ask for? Staff was very welcoming and helpful, location is incredible. 5 star review for this 2 star hotel.

This was our last resort booking due to my forgetting to book earlier but the hard working staff has won my respect. I never stayed in such an old shabby looking hotel before but I have to give 5 stars for the cleanliness inside and prompt service every time we called. Its also very convenient to have our car right at the door. Theres nice surprise blooming white flowers plus a flock of seagulls from Whitecap Beach nearby when I made a sunrise trip the next morning. Thats the reason I dont have the heart to push the rating down to 4 stars even though the ants showing up in our bathroom sink was not a good sighting! I do recommend a renovation of the place but am very grateful of your hard work.

This motel may be 58 years old, but its clean, updated, and the comfortable beds were a nice surprise! The staff was most pleasant and accommodated our needs. Will return for sure.10/19/2022:And return we did! Had a wonderful time on the Island and our stay at OYO was very pleasant, couldnt ask for more considering the cleanliness and comfort we enjoyed at this motel. This no-frills accommodation sure frees up a BUNCH of $$$ for FUN on the Island! Will return again!08/06/23And return we did, for a 3 day stay. Everything I mentioned in the previous reviews, plus, Id like to say Mr. Patel is a pleasure to work with, he knows how to serve his clients well! Stay with confidence!

The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. Staff was very helpful and accommodating with my needs as well as my companions. They answered questions that we had about the area and gave recommendations to attractions. The only down side is that there wasnt an ice machine available on site during my stay but that made little difference. Pricing was fair and the location was perfect as it placed us in fairly equal distance to restaurants, stores, and beaches on the island.

The place is dated but the price, location and people were great! It’s definitely not as sketchy as other reviews have made it out to be. This is a small, beach motel and that’s exactly what you should expect. All three rooms we booked were clean. We actually walked to the nearby restaurants and stripes with no issue. I would definitely book here again.

Its an older hotel with a mild face-lift. Nothing special, but the room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable.Dont expect any amenities like ice or vending machines, or a continental breakfast. You get a clean room, a working AC, a microwave, a mini fridge, a TV and a complimentary coffee maker with a sniff of brew.They have adequate parking, but dont expect to park an RV or boat there.The location is good due to easy beach access. Also there is a market, a small cafe, a Dominos and sports bar across the road, as well as the La Palma and Island Italian restaurants right next door.Overall its fairly pleasant, quiet and reasonably priced. Ill probably use Oyo again .

To be brutally honest the exterior of this hotel had us second guessing our every decision leading up to that moment. However, the interior is actually much nicer than the exterior. Its nothing to write home about, but for the price Ive stayed in far far worse (and paid double the price). They do an excellent job here with what they got. Cleaning is constant and done daily, and front desk is always willing to help you, and the staff is friendly. TV has a good selection of channels, the wifi is consistent, and the showers had perfect water pressure. Location on padre is perfect as its right next to the beach. Only complaints I have are with the exterior. Other than that it really is a diamond in the rough. Would consider staying here again. Didnt take any photos, but the interior photos are accurate.

First the location was great if you want to enjoy the beach! Loved being so close and also had a couple of stores and restaurants around so you didnt have to drive far for anything such as necessities. The hotel room was clean for the most part. I only gave 4 stars because my Toddlers feet were black from the carpet. She wasnt allowed to be on the floor without shoes on due to the dirtiness of the floor. The water pressure in the shower was great, the channels were premium, and the beds were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again.

This OYO location is an older motel but is very clean and just what we needed with cold A/C, TV, comfy beds, pillows good but not great (could be a little firmer), shower, and was very clean.We were ten minutes from the National Seashore and about 5 minutes or so from the state park beach on Mustang.The shower pull on the tub spout did break loose our first night but it was fixed by the time we returned from the beach the next day. The manager (maybe local owner) seems to live on site and made sure it worked well for us once we returned.The rooms are pet friendly but the rooms did not smell or have hair. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well and did not sniff the room or act like he knew other dogs had been there.The restaurants nearby were very good as well. We tried Island Italian, La Pluma, and Brooklyn Pie.

Quick and easy booking through Booking.com. When I had to make a change, though, I had to make it again through Booking - I could not affect the change by calling the hotel. Room was clean and ready when I arrived. Key system was a little strange, but manageable. No central lighting for the room; lamps by the beds, and in the bath area. Bed was firm. Chair was crowded into a corner with a lamp shelf. Housekeeping came by daily, but they did not take the cash tip I left out for them; I hope they took the final tip I left once I checked out. Would stay here again.

We read alot of good reviews which is what lead us to getting a room here. The blankets had stains on them, one wall plug looked like it had caught on fire in the past. There were ants in the bathroom and water pressure was light but the gentleman at the front office was very kind and gave us clean blankets. The People who hung around the outside of the hotel were very sketchy. The beds were nice and firm but we probably wont come back here again.

Be aware that this is a Motel not a hotel. The parking lot is gravel, parking was not great, and the Wi-Fi sucked! To me that was the worst of it. The location is a plus, with easy access to all the Island. The staff was friendly & helpful. We had a decent sized room that was clean but by no means luxurious. A very, very firm bed. No phone, no iron, no hair dryer, but there was a clock on the small microwave, which sat on a little fridge. It was HOT and our room faced the west, but the in-wall AC unit kept us very comfortable! The room was quiet, didnt hear much outside. Had a great larger flat screen TV with lots of DirectTV channels. It wasnt fancy but it was nice. They also had the best price!

There is a huge drainage problem in the parking lot that affects access to roomsA couple of guys with shovels could fix it

This place was very nice for a momo at its price. I originally thought trying to unlock the door we where going to have a crazy story about this place. But no we walked in it was super nice and clean. Our feet didnt turn black of anything so they moped the floors before we got there for sure. The bed was wrapped in plastic under the sheets so it didnt smell weird and the front desk people were nice. Just calling them is hard sometimes. We ended up staying a 2ed night since it was so cheep and nice quality.

Very basic, clean place to stay. Great location. Fridge and micro in our rooms. Perfect for visiting the beach. Walk through parking lot to excellent Italian restaurant with delicious food.

A quiet and comfortable place to stay for fishing trips.

We stay at this hotel multiple times per year and are never disappointed. The rooms are always clean, facilities are always in working order, the owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is an EXCELLENT location and great value for the money. We will continue to stay here on most of our trips to the coast.

At first glance you might be tempted to pass this hotel by BUT dont be fooled by its unassuming appearance, this place is a diamond in the rough. We stayed 6 nights here and while some minor things were a bit dated, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at a very reasonable price. Our room was very spacious and immaculately clean, with mini fridge, microwave and flat screen tv. Location is perfect, just a short distance from White cap beach and an equally convenient distance to various grocery stores, shopping areas and restaurants. Housekeeping came in daily to tidy up and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Corpus Christi; I definitely recommend !

We originally planed to camp in our RV, but couldnt. We needed a pet friendly place rather last minute. Im happy to have stumbled upon the OYO. The room was clean and when needed the staff was helpful. I found the room to be very quiet and they were fully booked for the event weekend.

When we arrived, our first impression made us question our choice..... The price was approx. $45 less than than other hotels in the area, and we were staying for 6 nights so it was quite a savings. But looks were deceiving.With only 20 or so rooms, it was small compared to the larger chains. When we walked into or room, it was VERY spacious and spotless!! The bed was very comfortable, the area was quiet, but close to many places to eat and relax. We were less than 3minutes from the beach!!This hotel as my wife stated, is a diamond in the ruff.I would recommend this OYO location to anyone who is going to Padre Island in Corpus Christi. Tx!!

Best budget motel I ever stayed at, and I travel a lot (right now I’m going cross country on my motorbike). Staff was very friendly and helpful (even let me use their hose to wash my motorbike after beach riding), room was immaculate, shower pressure great, and location is near the beach, across the street from a market and near restaurants. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Rooms looked nothing like the pictures. Right as we walked in, the room smelled dirty and like smoke. The covers are completely different with stains on them. Dirt in the shower, and the chair armrest was broken. Every time I plugged in my charger in the outlet by the lamp, it just slid right out. The good things about this place are that it has a good location and its one block away from the beach. The TV works too, with lots of channels to choose from. Its an okay place to stay.

The employee working today was horrible. She lied and said she was managed. She changed the deposit amount even though I extended my stay. She screamed at 3 different customer one had small children with them. Then she called police and police said she calls all the time for no reason. Shes so rude. Now I have 2 rooms I paid for and nowhere to sleep. She even told my boyfriend that she doesnt care hes a veteran. Dont stay here if she is working. She also refused to give me a number to complain or speak with management.

Nice thing is youre only a 5-10min trek to the beach. Rooms look nothing like what was advertised. Rooms are outdated very dark in them, not many plugs accessible. The television in our room didnt work the entirety of our stay, the manager came to fix it but to no avail. For the money its okay. Im only giving 2 stars because for 3 days my kids were driving me crazy about the tv not working and the smell in bathroom area. But other than that its okay you pay what you get for.

A nice place to stay. The owner lives on property and is always ready to assist. It is an older hotel but it doesnt take away from the comfort of the room.

Nice staff, clean room, close to the beach, TV, microwave and refrigerator. Our dogs were able to come with us which was a major bonus! Remember that you get what you pay for, dont expect a hotel with a pool or breakfast for $70 a night. The rooms are a bit dated which is why its not 5 stars but otherwise a fine hotel.

The room was very clean. Soap was awful but one can’t have everything. A/C worked very well!As for the parking, it seems some hotel guest can be very inconsiderate by blocking others in. It didn’t happen to me, but I saw people blocked and couldn’t get out the next day until the other car moved.Overall, it is great location, great service, very, very clean rooms, great A/C unit, it has all of the basics that one needs. Just take your own soap/shampoo and be careful in the parking lot because other hotel guest can be very rude and block you in, if you’re at the end of the parking lot. Definitely will stay there again once reservations become available. They are booked through Aug 2021.

We had a wonderful experience with OYO. Mr. Patel was very kind. I forgot my debit card at the front desk and left the hotel. When I got back Mr. Patel had kept it safe for me and returned it safely. That kind of honesty gets 5 stars from me. The room was very clean and the beds just right after a long day at the beach. Great place to stay if your on a budget.

Ive been here before. Many times. This motel is cockroach free, bed bug free, clean clean and cleanliness. Its on Padre Island. And for the money, a good deal. As always whenever I rate a hotel with high marks; private. It feels like a throwback. But its A ok. Theres a restaurant up front, and a Dollar General right next door. Plus a grocery store a man d hardware store within a few feet. I like this place.

SCAM!!!Room stunk. Bought candles to cover the smell. Had to cancel second night stay. Also had to cancel a reservation ahead of time I made for my son and his family. I went to the front desk and the lady looked up both reservations and said she canceled them. Then I got a charge on my credit card for a no show. After dealing with the hotel and my credit card company I lost the dispute for the $58 charge. They are a Scam and cheats. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!

We reserved and upon arrival we were assigned a room with no towels, I had to go and look for our own towels. No remote to TV, we asked on numerous occasions but none available. At the end of our stay we ended up with 3 different remotes that did not even go with that TV ! Not happy with the service.

Great place for the price. Kind people, older place but just fine if youre not looking for the 3 star amenities. Big room and bathroom, AC is old unit in the window but cold!!! Parking is a little tight. Its a quick drive or walk to Whitecap beach where you can usually drive on it. Ive stayed here twice and just fine for a clean place to stay.- Edit- disappointed when I went to breakfast this morning during their hours and they said its only on the weekend. I even confirmed breakfast hours when I checked in last night.

Upon entering room there was a stench of pet odor. And the room was carpeted.My wife and I had to go to the Dollar General nearby, and buy a can of Love My Carpet to sprinkle onto the carpet. We also used up a can of Lysol. Establishments that allow pets, should not be carpeted. I am allergic to pet dander. The mini fridge, also had rust on the exterior. Probably damaged during hurricane weather, and never replaced.I do not know what type of laundry detergent is used, but I had an allergic skin reaction. Took bed linen to laundromat to wash. Removing bed linen exposed ugly, stained pillows. Toilet seat also could have been replaced. It had chipped paint. And a mattress that had terrible back support. It will be our last time staying there.

The room was clean, comfortable and the place is quiet. It isnt walking distance to the beach but it is a short drive. There is a restaurant next door with good breakfast tacos. The rates are pretty low; definitely lower than the surrounding hotels and motels. I would stay there again.

I sat on the bed when i suddenly felt something crawling on me.. turns out this hotel room was infested with roachesCrawling on the beds and walls.We asked to get another room and the guy clearly knew about the roaches because he didnt sound surprised at all. To no surprise there were also roaches in this other hotel room. We gave this hotel a chance since the location was good but having roaches crawl on me while I slept was not a price I was willing to pay. I ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK AND GOT OUT OF THERE AS SOON AS I COULD. Do not recommend at all!

Would not recommendShowing up to the location, it was clear that the stock photos are very done up and not current.The entire place is run down, doors with key card readers that do not work, large door gaps, window units sealed with duct tape, stained towels, dirty bathrooms, missing trim, apparent water damage, rusting refrigerator.This hotel would get a negative rating if it were possible.

Ill come to the island 3 or 4 times for some fishing and I always stay here. Its an older motel but its always clean and quiet.

Staff was rude. Room stunk and the lights and tv didnt work in room.... Left room right after we got in. Came down to get refund within 15 mins of checking in. Where they gave us the runaround about how they have to check the room before giving us a refund, making us wait 30 mins, before telling us everything is fine in the room... Had to mention calling non emergency line to get refund. Hotel is very run down once you get to sidewalk.

Arrived to check in. Manager was very nice upon the check in process. We opened the door to the room and were horrified to discover stains and tears on the sheets. I immediately notified the manager about the sheets and blankets. I was fine with him offering to have all the bedding replaced. However, when a member of the housekeeping staff arrived, she had a impassive look on her face. She exclaimed Oh my God, I have to change everything! and then she stormed out of the room with the door banging hard behind her. I honestly at this point still wasnt disturbed. That changed when she came back with an angry face. She started to throwing sheets around like a child throwing a tantrum. Literally!We requested a full refund. Ill be honest, the manager and his wife were very nice through the process. However, have to give only two stars for cleanliness and staff bad attitude.

Great location for the Beach to Bay Marathon I participated in. Close to Leg 1, 2, and 3. The cable was out, according to the person at check in the entire island was getting an upgrade. There was suppose to be free WiFi but, I never got the information to access it. The room was smelly, like moldy smelly. Other than that the room itself was decent for an overnight stay. AC, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker (a little dirty so I didnt use it). Nice staff and a quiet location, no noisy neighbors.

The area of the hotel is perfect. All the amenities, like stores , restaurants and gas stations its all in the area. I slept very well the shower hot water was very well I give it a 10 on the scale of 1 to 10 I have me a permanent spot to stay every time I visit Padre Island it would be right here at Oyo hotel Padre Island

Bare bones but room was ok. Room was hot, the unit on the wall never got to the temperature we set it at. It was clean, but very overpriced. The one advantage: 5 min drive to beach. Could have paid half as much to be about 10-15 min away from beach and have a lot more amenities and a nicer room.

Good location but that about the only positive thing I can say. The rooms are very dirty, as soon as we walked in there were a few dead bugs on the floor. The bed was absolutely nasty and hard. When I was asleep, on two separate occasions I was woken up by roaches on the bed crawling on me!! Bugs settled under suitcase, and some furniture was falling apart and the wood was rotting, the parking lot has broken down vehicles in it. Im never one to be too picky and it doesnt take much for me to be comfortable but I would never recommend this place. Honestly, if youre thinking about it just spend the few extra dollars and stay anywhere else. Literally anywhere else!

It was the second time a stayed there. So I know what I’m Getting. WiFi , service, close to beach. Good price, pet friendly.. it’s perfect for what we use it for cold AC and sleep and shower. Beach time mostly. Great for simple stay. Will be back!

Cozy place less than five min drive to the coast. Gas station is just a block away, restaurant next door and Malaquien National Park is less than 20 miles away. The rooms were clean and cool, the AC worked great! The beds were comfy! Theres a mini fridge in the room and a flat screen TV.

Bed was comfortable, sheets and towels clean, aircon cold. Owners are nice and great Italian not expencive restaurant is attached to the building! Dog friendly also. I enjoyed my stay, thank you!

Fantastic motel on Padre Island. Quiet rooms and flexible check-in. We got a solo king-size bed and the room was SPACIOUS so I imagine the double queen beds also have enough room to allow for movement within the room as well.

I will never stay at this place again. We needed a room at the last min so we booked a 2 night stay at this place and it was the nasty and horrible hotel never. Blood on the sheets, room smelled like mold, hair stay stuck on the towels, and then the ac sounded like it was going to blow up. My husband went to go complaint and instead of refunding our money back he gave us another room to switch to but that room was worse than the first room. Then I went to go complain and I told the manager I was not happy and I wanted my money back and we would never be coming back to this place. Got my money back and found a better room for a cheaper price.

HAS BED BUGS!!!! BLOOD AND CRUMBS OF FOOD ALL OVER SHEETS LIKE THEY DONT WASH PROPERLY OR EVER CHANGE THEM. Very run down, cheap and nasty looking, no parking even though there is only like 20 rooms. Very rude man that answered phone. The price with tax for a room with two queen is 160. I could have stayed at an expensive hotel for this price, had to stay because we did not want to drive anymore. Room smells of cigarettes, bedding smells of cigarettes. Not worth 160!I highly doubt you care at all because when I went in to complain the lady at the desk only responded by the same script your spilling which tells me if you guys have it all scripted then this must be a usual thing. Also I believe if you cared you would have had me show you the bugs I killed in the room as soon as I said something while i was still there, instead of just denying it. How but you lose the scripts, and really get the rooms clean.

This place is ok. If you don’t like old then stay away. They have great cable, good AC, online the price started out at $69. then when we were signing up went up to $79+ tax by the time we got there and paid total was 102 and change. We did find a dead small roach in the fridge. For that price I know we can find a newer place.

Value for the money you spent. Pry close to the Padre beach. I forgot one of my items and could finid it with them after I call them. The manager was so helpfull and professional. They shipped me the item to my address. Really appreciate the service.

Rating this a 0, creeps asking little kids to buy tattoos tried selling beer to a minor not good room service a/c froze twice while on fan mode beds are not comfortable, rooms smelled gross! Me and my siblings got bitten while sleeping (not by bedbugs some other bug) some of their “cleaned” wash rags had little “stains” on them but washed out in the water terrible stay but had to deal with it.

Great for what it is. This is a cheaper location right next to the water park. Despite other reviews the room we got had no signs of bugs. Staff was nice and exchanged our room so we park right by our door. Issues were the ac was very loud and only 2 bath towles for a 4 person room. Im sure they would have given us more but it was a very late check in.

I got a smoking room because thats what they had available. It smelled as though the room had been occupied by a dirty dog for the past week but since I have dogs this did not bother me much. The tv had that annoying high pitch whistle when it was in and the fridge was only mildly cool. Shower was hot and room was clean. Toiletries were sub par. I think I paid too much for it but it served my purpose.

Booked a room for $135.00 online ahead of time because i was making a 2.5hour drive from San Antonio, and when I got there a few days later, the manager, Mr.Patel told me that the room was not paid for, and that I will have to pay ANOTHER $135.00 to stay in the hotel. I was told that the initial $135 was used as some sort of hold just to reserve the room, and that it will be Automatically returned to me upon my leave. I chose not to stay and asked the manager to return my funds. He said the funds will be returned in no longer than a couple of days. It is currently 26 days later, and I have not been refunded the money from this hotel. Every time I call, they say it’s a “Technical Error” on their part and I get placed on hold for sometimes more than 30 minutes. The most unprofessional process I’ve been apart of.

BED BUGS!!!! Very poor place. After reading reviews and not seeing anything bad, we decided to book it. Woke up at 3am to having my wife kill a bug on her chest that was full of blood. Started looking at the bed with a flashlight and found multiple bed bugs crawling all over the bed, and what we could tell were bigger bed bugs that when you smashed them, blood would come out. Woke my nephew and son that were in the other bed. Nephew had been bitten 5-7 times on the stomach. Went to the manager and told him, he was real quick to say, I give you refund, you can just leave and gave me a voided receipt. I would not recommend this place to anyone with the amount of bugs we saw crawling all over. Have never seen anything like it. Got to drive around for the next hour and a half trying to find a hotel since everything was booked on the island. City will be getting a phone call also. I will post another review with the pictures we took of the bugs and the blood on the sheets. Place should be shut down.

Towels were very thin. Found a bug in bathroom and a spider outside our door. King size bed with only 3 pillows. Good thing is that it’s close to the beach.

This was the worst experience I could have, the bed had holes and stains, the room was dirty, near the air conditioner there were stains that looked like blood. The place smelled bad and I couldnt sleep in that place and I had to pay for another hotel and they didnt refund me.

I wanted an inexpensive motel on short notice. This fit the bill fine. Was quiet. The ac was fine. Clean enough. Was on the island and made it easy to get to Port Aransas. Was mostly filled with fisherman and boats. Felt safe. Was near a major intersection that had two nice fuel stations. Would be a good place to stay if you plan on visiting Bob Hall Pier. Is also not too far from the beach. I would go back to this place without hesitation if I couldnt get a place in Port Aransas on short notice again.

Is there a negative star? I didnt even stay here. To begin, I have full documentation that what Im saying here is true and you can check to see Ive never left such a poor review for any business even if I would never go back to it.I made a reservation that advertised free cancellation if I canceled by 6pm. Well before that time and an hour after making the reservation, I canceled it. There was an immediate charge for over $120 in cancellation fees, more than the full price of one night for one hour of a reservation. Nothing was received but I was charged. Their rules were followed but I was charged. If I took someones money like that it would be called stealing. In order to get my money that they were not authorized to take, I have to jump through hoops. Sound like a place youd want to give your credit card number? This is a NO. I WOULDNT STAY AT THIS PLACE FOR FREE.

Decided to try this small motel due to late start to return Back to SAT and LaQuinta 1 night rate was DOUBLE$$. Unfortunately, I found Bed Bugs in my bed while I rested with my dog and I thought it was small roaches. We stayed up all night. I inform the MGR I didnt want to disturb him due to 2AM time. He apologize and stated they would take care of it. He was surprised due to stating other guess has not complained. I was refunded my 1 night. I will not stay here again due to What took place.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and was a great location. We will be back soon.

The dirtiest hotel I have stayed in in my life. There were stains all over the carpets, a huge bug in the bathroom sink, a threadbare couch from the 60s that looks like they picked it up off the street corner and smelled like it too. If it werent so late and my kids exhausted I would have never stayed, but it was late. I didnt even let my kids sleep under the sheets. They slept in sleeping bags on the bed because it was so nasty.

First time staying at Passport Inn, we stayed the second weekend in march, very satisfied with room. Nothing fancy, nice and quiet place to come back to, to rest and relax after spending all day in the sun, playing at beach and fishing. Do plan on coming back. Coffee pot in room, a nice touch...

Horrible and for all those who say this place is even half way decent must be some nasty crackheads and street walkers themselves because this place is the worst. I rather sleep in my car. Checked in the hotel and with the same hr I checked out. My life is way more valuable then risking it for $40 a night stay at the crackhouse(Oyo hotel)

The room was great close to the beach and restaurants. The stuff was so nice and friendly beds were comfortable I would stay there again

For the price in this area, it was ideal. An old motel that has been maintained and renovated, its squeaky-clean, and everything works well including the air conditioning, TV and high-speed wifi. Close to everywhere I wanted to be and cheaper than anywhere else on-island. No frills but nice people.

Our stay was okay, def not worth 295 for 2 nights...considering that theres very minimal accommodations.Overall, its was alright. I would recommend if your not picky about where you stay. Its a 2-3min drive to the beach so thats an advantage.

We enjoyed our stay at Passport Inn. The cold air feels so good after being out in the sun. Pleasantly surprised with shower water flow. I also loved how near it was to our destination, The beach! Thank you.

Great affordable motel, customer service was excellent and as the previous commenter wrote on her review the wifi didnt work, we tried to connect but we just could not get it to work. Everything else was perfect, it was quiet, not a single roach, and the cleaning and management crew did an excellent job in keeping the room clean and tidy, the price was reasonable too, i will stay here again and i recommend it

Loved it. Room was very clean and fresh. Desk clerk was super friendly. Felt very comfortable staying at to. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is going to visit Padre Island.

Giant Centipedes and Scorpions!I checked in Tuesday afternoon.Room was super humid and musty.Got back to the room after midnight.While I was in bed a giant centipede was literally crawling in the bed I was laying in.Tried to hit it and kill it but it ran under the second bed.Flipped it over then it ran under the mini fridge.Moved the mini fridge and it was under there.Was finally able to kill it with a trash can.Once it was dead! I was looking to see if there was any more.Looked behind the bed and there was a dead scorpion 🦂. Never had a worse experience in my life @ a motel.We left immediately and requested a refund.They said they would refund but its been a week and nothing on my card.$245 for the worst experience ever and still no refund!

It’s a ok room it was very clean just needed a basic room to sleep and shower. Very close to beach and plenty of restaurant and stores within walking distance.

BED BUGS!!!!! This place is nasty. I woke up to my dad putting water on my face because he is mean asf. I rolled over and he said boy look at me so I did he got pissed tf off took the bed bug off my face and killed it. Blood was everywhere my dad has put the bug in a cup and is taking it to the office so they can see how amazing there rooms are. so for the end of my story please dont stay here especially if you have little kids. I would rather sleep in the car then this place I wish I could give it no 🌟!!!!!!

Don’t waste your money here. Roaches everywhere. NOT CLEAN! They don’t even put fitted sheets on the beds. Thick dust on counters by the coffee pots. The red bedding pictures are not what they look like at all.

If you want a place on the island at a reasonable price this is the place. If you need a place to lay your head and shower after a wonderful day at the beach this is where you want to stay. If you come with posh expectation you need to check elsewhere, but expect to pay a lot more as well.

Great staff, rooms are clean. vintage beach feel with the motel being an older one but I loved the fact I was in walking distance to beach and it reminded me of family beach time

All I want to share with yall is that you need upper management to come check out this place and stay in one of your rooms and see what kind of rate they give you. I was not a happy camper not worth $170.00 for one night.

Rooms are reasonable prices, great room just to stay. We did have a small easy with bugs & parking. But price is worth it

Extremely basic hotel. The television, sheets and restroom appliances are old. However, they all perform well enough for those looking for a place to just sleep and shower and carry on with their adventures.

I was surprised with its cleanliness. The gentleman who was working the front desk and I assume the owner is very nice and knowledgeable about attractions in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in San Padre Island, the rooms are nice, the only thing I didn’t like that the air conditioner wasn’t so good otherwise the service was great.

The owners/staff are always so nice and accommodating. This was our second stay and it was as great as the first time.

Its a very nice, cozy place...walking distance from the beach and the rooms are clean and nice...we got a double room this is our second night on a week long stay..so far so good...the kids love it and we get to relax...I highly recommend it for the price is a great deal...its not fancy..its just right!!...We have decided this is our little vacation spot for next summer as well...☺

Could be better, could be worse. I expected cheap but it was dirty and stained in the room. Smelled like cigarette smoke too. Walking distance from the beach was nice.

Hi my family and I have been going to this place for about 20 years and I cant say that Ive had a bad experience, as a child I loved it because the beach is literally walking distance,and Coming from an adult standpoint the rate is usually reasonable and the rooms have always been comfortable,Icant complain thanks passport.

Nice place, but did not clean or make beds in the room. TV only worked on one channel, not a good one either. Not enough parking space.

Its not a horrible place, for the price you cant beat it. Its an older hotel so dont expect all the bells and whistles. Minutes from port A and plenty of areas to fish.

Honestly cant beat the price. Lady in the office was super friendly, but our wifi didnt work, we had a bullet hole in our window, and the bathroom was kinda eh.

I was too exhausted from the beach to take a pix, but scouts honor, there was legit mold on the sheets.

Mmmmmmm bathroom was nice they said it was non smoking but I thank I almost died from 2nd hand smoke smell from the beds and AC in the hole in th wall and the carpet but u get what u pay for at last minute
