OYO Hotel Decatur I-20 East & Wesley Club Dr

I crashed here after about 25+ hours of travel. The room was simple and clean, and the hotel has all the essentials for a short stay. It is great value in the Atlanta area and very close to the city. The staff is friendly, very quick check-in and best of all … free parking! Im very impressed with how the room is cleaner than some of the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at! I will definitely come back.

This hotel is fantastic! Clean, inviting, comfortable.....you name it. Our room was spacious and the bed was great. We didnt have time to eat at the hotel, so I cant comment on the food. We needed a few things brought to the room (additional pillows, etc...) and they were there in no time! David, who met us in the lobby, helped make our trip even better. He was extremely helpful!

The buildings looked old and run down. There were random people gathered at the entrance and by the fence to the next door apartment complex. Our first room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, so they gave us another room- right by the metal stairs. However, the TV worked, the bed was comfortable, most of the furniture was in good condition, but the bedspread and night stand had cigarette burn marks. We got in good naps and good nights sleep on our last day before we moved into our permanent digs.

Hotel??? More like Roach MotelMy room was infested with roaches I’ve seen at least 8 roaches and a spider on my way out. I killed a good number of them but the ones that got away were the ones around thefridge. There were roaches on the head board, bathroom, near the bed, on the nightstand, in the cabinet door, and outside the bathroom door. I checked out early and shook my clothes on the way out. I had problems on my first day I was there. The first issue was that there was a cash only deposit of 50 dollars. This was not told to me on the website so I went all the way to the nearby gas station with my luggage only to find out that the “hotel” had an atm in their lobby. I calmed down after the lady at the front desk explain that it is easier to return the deposit if it is in cash. In my first room, the air didn’t work so I was reassigned to the room next door. The female security huff and puffed when the front desk lady asked to see if the air worked in the next room. She had a terrible attitude and she frequently complain every time I saw her. The next problems were that the ice machine didn’t work and there were sketchy people loitering the area. The one guy I thought was a crackhead was the maintenance guy and he was supposed to spray my room after I reported the roaches and he didn’t. I didn’t see him after that. After I reported the roaches to the Indian lady at the front desk. She was dismissive and she said it shouldn’t be roaches in the unit the guy sprayed a few days ago she said. I took a picture of one roach before I killed it on my last day. I also seen a spider with a fat body that I killed on my last day there. Additionally, the house keeper was obnoxious. She came 10am every morning making it difficult to sleep in and the “hotel” didn’t have do not disturb signs anywhere. But with the roach problem I wanted her to clean the unit every day. The fridge was dirty and she never cleaned it. I had a problem with her and the security lady when it was approaching my last day. She banged on my door and she said “house keeping”. I asked her to come back later and she said 10 minutes and she walked off. The security banged on my door telling me to check out. I tell her I was paying for an additional day because my flight got delayed. She said well “you need to do that now” and this was 11am in the morning and I slept terrible. Then the security lady stayed by my door complaining how she hate coming in rooms because some people are naked. I still heard everything she was saying as she was very loud. While getting dress the housekeeper started banging on my room. I yelled wait!!! And she continued to banged on the door and I heard the security lady say I already told him to come out. The housekeeper ignored her and she continued to bang on my door. I screamed “COME IN DAMN, COME IN”. I curse her and the security lady out. The housekeeper said she can’t come in unless I leave. I was livid because I just realized she was basically kicking me out my “hotel” every time she came in. I would always be up and out when she came anyways but I tried to get some extra sleep but between her and security lady that was not happening. The black lady at the front desk was nice and she helped me out a lot throughout the experience but everyone else should be fired or at least evaluated heavily. Even the check out process was a hassle. The older gentleman took forever to my deposit and he even asked me if I received it already. He gave me my money out the register and he took additional copies of my id, asked for my phone number and he made me sign an envelope. I can tell he lost my deposit or didn’t know how to find it so he made me go through additional steps to get my deposit. The roaches were too frequent and the sign they had up was a red flag. It read “we are not responsible if someone breaks into your car.” I know I should’ve left days early but I booked it online and I knew it would’ve been difficult to get my money back.

The reason for 2 stars is because the lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. The room.....stained carpet and mattresses (seen because sheets wouldnt stay in the bed), when the tub drained, the water came up in the sink and drained very slowly, my daughter and I were a bit leery being outside at night because of some of the people loitering around. The room is cheap, but I dont recommend it if you can afford something better.

If I could give it less stars I would. The place was disgusting. After we paid they couldnt even give us a key that worked. They had to let us in and out of our roomHotel over run by druggies and dealers. Cops there all night. Got up the next morning and found lice in the bed my husband slept in ( I had to sleep sitting up that night, thank goodness). Asked the housekeeping who I was told not to talk to their middle school age child (who was who spoke to me first). Then through the high school age child was told it wasnt their fault because they hadnt been told to clean that room IN DAYS!!! Young lady at front desk was very nice and was going to give our money back on the spot, but it in came the owner and we had to argue with him. He insinuated that we brought the bugs as a scam not to pay. I guess we brought the drug dealers, hookers and druggies with us to? And stole all the working keys? Really? Dont stay here! Not worth the deal!

The front desk attendant never even looked up to acknowledge my presence plus there is a 50.00 deposit not mentioned in CASH. Then after I walked up 2 flights of stairs only on the opposite of the building only to find a roach sliding down the rail and looking in on a double room when I paid for a King room. I was never told about the double room nor was I given the option to accept or deny the room. The refrigerator was not clean the microwave was also dirty. There was fabric or hair in the bathroom. No remote for t.v. nor were there any buttons for the air conditioner. Security spoke for the clerk and when I asked about the room all of a sudden he didnt know....

I booked Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr after reading all the positive reviews, and it was the best decision! We had the duplex room with the terrace on the rooftop. First, the room -- so comfortable with everything we needed. The soundproofing on this floor was great. Several reviewers have mentioned the tapas bar on the street, but it did not bother us at all.

Those other reviews are a bunch of lies. This is the worst place in the world. There is no sky view, no swimming pool, no bar, no food, no service. These are fake reviews from other places. Y’all should be ashamed. The rooms are old and the furniture is from a container that they keep in the parking lot. You guys need to stop with the lies. The ice machine broken, the cable didn’t work when we first got there or the WiFi. The only good thing was the hot water and the air conditioning was on point! Burr! This hotel is a roach motel!

Seriously this has to be one of the top hotels in Atlanta area. We love this boutique hotel. While it’s close to the freeway for convenience it also very quiet in the courtyard. The rooms have nice queen size beds with little fridge. The rooms are clean and quiet. The courtyard has cabanas and tables and an outdoor football table, bean bag game and giant for family game night.

All of our laundry was done for , the snacks and soda machine kept my family occupied while we sat beside the great place. The rooms are large, plenty of room to move around and were in walking distance of many major sites. The hospitality was amazing and the staff was very accommodating.

Beautiful hotel, nice shopping/entertainment complex attached to hotel. We visited in April and were too chilly to swim. Great service, lovely grey decor and hotel smelled great! Nice lobby bar. First class hotel and the Wolfgang Puck food at business conference did not disappoint

Ive been traveling with the kids all summer and this was by far the worse hotel we had stayed in. We could have put up with the Tv & internet going out every 10mins, but the filth is a-whole-nother matter.The non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke and was dirty. Dirty as in the blankets werent clean (smelled like smoke that stuck to you), the shower curtain had that GROSS pink tint you only find in toilets & gym showers, the sink was clogged, and I ended up getting an ear INFECTION.The lock was falling off the door as if someone tried to break down the door at some point. The guys hanging outside the room finally toned down the noise about 1:30am, but was still outside. This place was literally the worse! It also takes forever for you to get your deposit back if you paid with your card.

Good rate, microwave, fridge, wifi. There are four friendly front desk workers, friendly staff, but the owner tried to lie to me about my online reservation, until I called corporate. The owner treats his staff horribly. House keeping works fast but dirty sheets are given and when asking for new sheets, pillows, etc. Neither housekeeping, nor the front desk workers can simply replace things due to the owners control. I would give five stars but there is something seriously wrong with the way the owner does business here.

L have stayed here twice during business trips now and I seriously think its one of the friendliest staffs Ive ever experienced at a hotel. Its in a good location in Atlanta, walk able to lots of restaurants, beach, etc. The rooms and hotel are always clean. Cant beat this place for the price! Highly recommend.

Very very sketchy. We just needed some where to lay our heads down. We got in at 2:30 am. I already reserved a room online. I also wrote in that we wouldnt be there till about that time. They almost didnt let us check in. People were standing and parting all night even at 3am. The front desk lady gave us a room and she said if the currents are closed dont go in and come back to get another room. Thankfully it wasnt. She also said if you dont like the smell or something was off about the room we didnt like to come back to her. We had to get everything out of our car because we were to afraid of someone breaking in and taking everything we had. We stayed less than six hours. We slept on top of the blankets as we felt it was just to nasty to get under them. My son and I really didnt get much sleep because every loud song we were jumping up to see if someone was breaking into the car. I didnt feel safe for my daughters to go out to the balcony even with the door opened. It was probably best for me to keep driving another 6 hours to get to our final destination. Old and very run down.

This is the most Ghetto hotel ! First they wanna charge an extra $20 to check in early even when there is hardly any rooms rented. Second.The elevators are boarded up..When we got to our room. Their was old furniture and broken air conditioning unit piled up outside our room .The room smelled bad. They curtain was broken from the rod we called the office they would not answer.we ended up pinning it together and putting part of it in the door then closing it to keep people from seeing inside our room! I do not recommend this place to anyone..

When I pulled up there was a fight in the parking lot. The hotel was run down, trashy and dirty. When i went to check in, the front desk girl wouldnt let me check in because i didnt have a cash deposit. She told me to call hotels.com for a refund. When hotels.com called the hotel, they said no refunds. So they just stole my money because she would not let me check in!!!! Avoid this place!!!!! Also when i was leaving, there were gunshots in the parking lot.

My family and I visited last year and what an amazing trip we had! Sadly, we didnt get to stay in the actual hotel but we ate and drank in the area at the top and absolutely loved every second of it. The view was picturesque and the service was commendable. Truly amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Sat here in the lobby of hotel Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr wondering if Ive been to a better hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated extremely well and the receptionist was attentive enough to know it was my birthday. We later were surprised to find a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room. Complimentary drinks and cakes tea time too.

This hotel was recommended to us and I kept overlooking it as the price range went over our budget. In the end I bit the bullet and booked it and was so glad that I did. The location is perfect, right next to the Chinese Theatre and a main intersection of Atlanta and Highland Ave. train station was also very close, with Universal Studios being just 1 stop away. The view from our room was overlooking the shopping precinct so was full of life.

Bedbugs - I made a video to share. The reviews are fake, police and ambulance were in and out. Non smoking Trap hotel with more burn marks on the tubs and blankets than the average smoking room. My Allergies went crazy. This was the second room the first one water came down from the bathroom ceiling. In the back building we had no bug issues.

We booked online and pasted with a card, got to the hotel and were told unless we had $50 cash for a deposit, we couldnt stay in the room but that the money we paid with the card was non-refundable. So I guess they got to charge more than one person for the same room that night. Its an obvious scam and theres no telling how many people have been victimized by these crooks.

1. Doors dont work so the front desk lady had to use her key to open it. Her key got stuck. The owner came by and proceeded to tell me how to use the door lock. I was trying to tell him its getting stuck I understand how to lock it. He then said you dont know anything about this..... I then asked him to please leave my room then he screamed at me. Do you know who I am! This is my hotel you can leave! And proceeded to yell at me more. Then started talking horribly about Americans and how all we want is free and the cheapest price. And many other things I cant say here. The front desk lady Becky I think her name is was the only thing that keeps that place running. The owner doesnt know how to operate or even fix rooms. Theres are more than 35 rooms there that are not rentable. That night I couldnt leave because the door was broke and I would be locked out. Then told that the maintenance man said Im not going to fix it they probably broke it other than that and the drug traffic that is around. House keeping takes peoples stuff when they are gone cause they dont know when people are checking out or not. I witnessed a lady complaining about them taking all her food jewelry cloths from the room. The place is falling apart and the owner is to blame 10000% its not safe there and you are not guaranteed a room if you book online. 30 reservations they couldnt fill that night and couldnt move me. Stay away I ignored the bad reviews and regret it. Dont make the same mistake.

Hard to find, especially at night; Google maps took me to the wrong hotel. There are signs for ‘No Smoking’, but the room smelled like smoke. Room filled with random, 1980’s low quality furniture. No towels. A spot for paper towels/tissues, but nothing in it. Smoke alarm yanked out of the wall. Loose wall sockets. Overall the place is in sad condition, and desperately in need of an upgrade.

Horrible hotel! Front desk will hang up on you when you legitimately ask for what your supposed to have according to THEIR website claims of amenities! They put me in TWO different rooms!! 1st room: phone AND TV didnt work, no light bulb in lamp & fridge wasnt even on! The 2nd room they put me in, didnt even have a working heater, fridge or a phone!! When I called front desk to ask for the amenities I paid for, they hung up on me twice!! Thats outrageous!! The guests expect to get at least decent customer service and amenities promised! What hotel rooms dont even provide a phone, cups & ice bucket or light bulbs for their lamps??!! I will NEVER stay here again...thats my word!!!

My daughters (21 and 19) and I had just one night to spend in Wesley Club Dr. I cant think of a better place. Surroundings a fantastic combination of old and modern. Showers stunning. Staff friendly and very helpful. Complementary afternoon tea very welcome. We will definitely try the one in Granada

I have stayed at the hotel over a year ago. When I arrived, everyone from the front desk to the bar to the restaurant each person recognized me from my past visit. Also, the location is the best for GA attractions. I mean walking distance. Additionally, I felt very safe as you need your room card to enter any where beyond the lobby.

Stayed here for 3 nights, hotel lovely and clean, very comfortable beds, staff are all very friendly and helpful. Bus stop across the road to take us to local amenities, about 15 minutes to Venice beach. We would stay here again if we were to visit. If anyone is thinking of going or has booked the manager requested for someone to bring him a Cadbury’s flake

Our stay at the Hotel Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr was for one night in the Deluxe Room, this room is ideal if you prefer like to have access to the cool area, a perfect location for relaxation near room side. The hotel offers a service from parking which is great to have. When you book your stay the hotel will provide the details for the shuttle meeting point at the parking and you will be transported from the parking to the hotel. Very Convenient indeed, this is certainly a great service for the guests..

This was my first time as a guest at Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr Atlanta Hotel while attending the Expo. The hotel is clean, staff is well, no exceptionally trained and the dining accommodation exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend this facility to my family, friends and business associates! Enjoyed my stay.

Irena deserves special recognition as she works magic at the front desk! My partner and I had a suite in the top floor with its own small terrace and Decatur tub with a perfect view if the central. The hotel location, decor, staff and breakfast are all top notch.

This was my first stay at Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr. I was there with a large group of professionals at an industry event. The hotel easily accommodated us all. The organization, service and attention was beyond reproach. This is great for families, business and vacationers.

The perfect place for a lovers escape, stylish week-end in this wonderful boutique hotel, Charming, quiet, but close to everything. Typical fantastic just round the corner, nice restaurants in tiny traditional streets, and all the historical wealth of Decatur at a couple of doors. Well come back.

Hotel is not safe and they dont care about their guests or workers. They hired two contractors to do repairs and they were shot and when the hotel workers were asked for towels to put pressure on the bullet wound their response was they dont have any towels to give and when a guest brought one out they told him to bring it back in the room. The manager is extremely rude as is for the front desk lady.

Did not even stay these people are scammers i booked a room through my discount app for my credit union for a cheaper price.. but once i arrived there was a sign that said no rooms available, once i let the woman know i had booked online and my card was already charged she told me to contact the company for a refund. It was Friday so i had to wait until Monday once i spoke with the rep who in turn had to verify with the hotel i never received a room they told the company i was a no show so they could try and keep the money anyway...Just pathetic

I was very curious with the affordable rate. I mean I had find out myself what is going on here. So the rate is correct. And the rooms are just right. I’m a simple man. I’m gonna five star a clean room with fridge, tv, cold AC, good bed, soft sheets and soft bath towels.

Its filthy! Dead roaches on the wall, hair in the tub, the microwave and fridge are discussing, The carpet is nasty, the a.c. unit has no knobs or vents. The hotel should be closed, condemned, and torn down!

Great views of the Wesley Club Dr, fabulous room and the location were even better! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to singles, couples or families. Check if there is a parking package as part of the nightly rate. Made life simple!

I will never stay at one of your location. I couldnt even get to driveway there were drug dealers and I was solicited by drug users. I was too afraid to get out my car. The hotel is nothing but a a drug trap. And I am appalled that you forced me to put myself in such a unsafe and clearly drug infested hotel.I want a refund.

Lovely hotel right by the Atlanta walk of fame. Great staff and the shopping centre right by the hotel (you can access it directly from the hotel without going outside) means there are loads of places to eat as well. Great hotel as well if you want to catch the hop on hop off bus.

Rude people at the front desk. I asked the male at the front desk to check in early ge said no problem if the room is clean. The lady aak can she help me. I told her im trying to check in early and i go to give her my information she says no clock in at 3. I just ask the man sitting right next to her. She was very nasty.They have to talk to people better.

Don’t stay here!!! These people are crooks! I paid for my room in advance, and they waited until I was gone to say I hadn’t paid, packed up my things and stole money out of my room. The Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr Hotel was the perfect Venue for a late summer wedding. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are cheerful, crisp and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and the elevators are amazingly fast

The worse place ever, not even the homeless would sleep in that place. Nothing that u see on the internet it’s terrible. Theft! The property was filled with weed smell and beyond dirty. SCAM! They STILL have not refunded me after three weeks and no one is responsive. STAY AWAY from this property. They are THIEVES and SCAMMERS who stole my money.

My wife and I didn’t get to stay after booking a reservation online. When we went to check in last night we were told the last room was booked. This morning we received an email stating that we were charged for a room we never used. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to stay!

The hotel has roaches. Our room had a weird musty smell. We made the reservation online and found out about the $50 deposit after checking in. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Im trying to find out why nobody has not called code enforcement on this unhealthy motel it is not livable for nobody how just filthy and unsanitized nasty. you have to go there for yourself to see it aint even worth the little price that they give you it aint even worth $10 a night thats just nasty thats filthy no TVs and rooms no shower curtains the tub was Black spots all over them the mold everywhere thats just not right they making money out this nasty ass shit.

I have not stayed, but looking at the recent reviews, quite a few are fake and the hotel has responded to them as if they are real. If you dont want to be put in danger by fake reviews that are endorsed by the hotel owner, I would not stay here.

I would not stay here again! When we arrived, they insisted on a $50 deposit CASH even though a credit card was on file. This was not made known to us beforehand. Very unprofessional! And the room was not clean at all and was rundown.

Special was great. Any and every issue i had she took care of me from booking from las vegas via phone , until checkout her great southern attitude made me feel very welcomed her staff of security members were on the job keke was the all star that also assisted in any of my needs thank you guys for a great vacation aee yall soon

Couldnt rate less than 1 star. Found, what I believe were, carpet beetles in the mattress and old stained sheets that looked like blood. Just an overall bad experience as far as cleanliness

That place was horrible. One room smelled like old folks. We transfered to another. It was a VERY BASIC hotel. I slept on TOP of the bed covers ON.

Services and everything else here was awesome and perfect, although the prices might be quite high for some people. In addition, the infinity stay above most of the buildings was incredible! Would love to come back here in the future.

I have never stayed in a motel that has been more uncorinated, unkept, Ive been changed 4 rooms cause no heat in one then no phone or remote in another then I was given a room that wasnt clean Ive been trying to relax for over an hour and a half and now my food is cold and Im still waiting for a remote for the 4th room Ill never stay here again

What a fantastic hotel this is, the staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble, the food is great, we upgraded and had access to the executive lounge,which we used for tea coffee and snaks late checkout, rooms are large and well equipped and nice comfy bed..didnt use the gym..and 2nd floor is very clean.

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk . Once she came running to great us it was as if she did not want to be there and then told us we had the wrong hotel when in fact the reservation said the location and address . Needless to say the hotel she directed us to toldus they keep sending guest to his establishment

Drug infested, a real trap hotel and poorly kept. I now know why they are only charging $30. You leave with Bed Bugs and the rooms are just nasty. Stay as far from this place as possible

From what I have seen, there are not many hotels in such a great location such as Decatur East I20 & Wesley Club Dr GA. I would recommend staying in this hotel if you are in G.A. for tourism and you would like to explore GA Blvd, TCL Chinese Theatre, etc.

Thats what my room looked like wen I got here they told me we just cleaned that .finally gave me another room after 25 minutes of saying it has been cleand .they only cleand my room 1 time in 4 days it took me 3 hours just to get clean towels.

The staff is disgusting people they dont give new sheets when asked they all scared of the guy he tried to charge for sheets saying i dirtied to many sheets then they procceed to kick me and my family out charge us an extra night that we wasnt there for they need to be SHUT DOWN

Housekeeping can be better than what it is. Security outstanding work. The hotel is not bad its the people.

The Tub was dirty 2 working tv stations outside of the hotel was full of people loitering bed linen was in poor condition I checked out early was afraid for my safety leaving my room

I live in Atlanta but decided to stay at the so my friends and I did not have to drive after a concert at The Atlanta Bowl. You can’t beat the location if you are from out of town and it is a treat if you are from Atlanta.

This is not a real hotel they will take your money do not stay here!!!! They took my card information and charged it 4 different times after I canceled my reservation!!!

I only stated one night. The Motel is remodeling. The toilet up inMiddle night and didnt get it taken care before we checked out.
