WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GEM!!From the moment you step on to the pristine property the pride of ownership is more than obvious!This little 6 (I believe) unit property is absolutely IMMACULATE!!The sparkling clean pools are filled with mineral water and available to guest of the property 24/7 which was very important to us!!The bed was huge and super comfy with great big feather pillows!The little details have not been overlooked…Upscale “blanket towels for the pools”, as well as better quality soaps, lotions and such are truly appreciated!Real coffee cups with actual “good” coffee for the maker is such a rarity!All in all this is a super classy, extremely well kept little gem that is now our “go to” during our travels!

This is the best escape place ever. Quiet Tranquillity and really nice views. Alberto was our host and made sure everything we needed was provided. Was so accommodating it felt like a five star resort. You will not regret staying there with a l great host and wonderful ambienceGoing back again, its just a great vacation

It was everything I needed. Cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in! Bed was very sufficiently comfortable. Hot shower. Nice hot tub and small pool. Great place to stay with dogs. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. The only complaint I have is that I would have felt more comfortable if there had been a deadbolt or some sort of lock besides just the doorknob. Id stay again if I was in the area.

This is quite the gem of a place! And how serendipitous for us as we just needed a place for the night while traveling back home from our vacation in the south. We totally enjoyed the hot spring fed pool, the large communal kitchen and the beautiful space. Very secure and clean. Pet friendly too. The proprietors were such lovely and welcoming people! We hope to come back next time we are in the area. Thank you!

This is absolutely my favorite boutique hotel I’ve experienced in Palm Springs or high desert areas. The staff is outstanding and they truly do what they can to make your stay carefree and comfortable. Fabulous city light and sunset views and the rooms are chic and modern. The heated Pool and hot tub are also a win. Love it.

Loved it! Every room smelled like fresh laundry 😍!!! It’s a great and safe place to stay with a dog. Everything is maintained well and very clean!!! There is a cute and fenced backyard to sit, where you can let you dog roam while you enjoy the view. We extended for one day and got upgraded for a good deal. The hot tub and heated pool to relax were accessible the whole time. Our kitchen and the community kitchen were well equipped and clean. The owner and staff is super friendly. Would always come back here!!! Thanks for having us 💙

There were some bad reviews listed, but I am so glad It didnt stop me from staying here. Yes the hotel is older, and could use a remodel, but the price is right. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was really good. And the pools, simply Devine. Theres 8 pools fed by the hot springs of varying temperatures. They were so relaxing and fabulous!If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a reasonably priced all around great experience, this is the place for you!

Hidden gem in the desert! Staff was exceptional! Patty goes out of her way to accommodate. Everything was great, clean room, clean pool & spa. The grounds were kept, dog friendly and 420 friendly. 18 over, nice to get away and enjoy quiet time, no yelling kids. No huge parties. Perfect boutique hotel. We will definitely be back!

Not the best experience. Coffee maker did not work. If you are in a first floor unit, the noise from the upper unit is very loud. You can hear every step. I would not stay here again

Unique and classic. Simple but has everything you honestly need. I was so excited to find this little gem. Super clean, fabulous pool and hot tub, great location and prices that can’t be beat. Check in is a tad technical and requires cell phone coverage which was a bit challenging for me but it worked out. Definitely plan to come here again.

Late doing a review but better late then never. We stayed here 3 nights in November 2018. This place was cozy and private. Lovely appointed rooms with adorable kitchens. The owner was fabulous and made us feel at home. We had 3 dogs with us and he loved them all. They had run of the place and a great area out back to run around. The mineral pool was so refreshing too. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely time. 💜

What a great find! Boutique inn with a family friendly atmosphere. Its like a home away from home. Nicely remodeled rooms & comfy king size beds. Manager, Patti, is lovely & accomodating. Facilities include a sparkling clean pool & jacuzzi fed from mineral springs (no chemical smells), large kitchen & dining hall, outdoor green area to sit & relax - an oasis in the desert, gated security, dog & smoke friendly - freedom to be yourself. Great experience. Highly recommend!!

This is a small unique Inn, with quite a lovely mineral pool and mineral jacuzzi. The rooms are decorated in a very relaxing zen desert vibe. We love Desert Hot Springs Inn, because they are dog friendly and your dogs MUST be socialized to other people and dogs. Lovely enclosed grounds for your dog to roam. A great place for R & R.

Came for a doggie-with 4 day & 3 night stay. We Dobbie. Casual, quiet, super low number of rooms, easy. The water is what brought us out. Yes, please. May I have another.

Amazing little treasure! The room was the perfect size for our needs and very clean. The hot springs pool and hot tub were a blessing after hours on the road. The owner was informative and kind. Cant wait to come back to this perfect bungalow.

What you see in the photo is all of the rooms at this spa. What you dont see is the fully equipped shared kitchen that any of the guests may use instead of their rooms kitchen. Also not pictured is a fenced in backyard which has a picnic table, lounging chairs, and plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs and explore. When you stay at this resort, its quaint enough to quickly recognize the other guests, and spacious enough that everyone can appreciate their own experience, in their own way. Its so awesome that its friendly to both canines and cannabis, while being so in a respectful manner to those who choose a simpler lifestyle. It all just makes for a great atmosphere thats hard to find elsewhere!

My siblings and I took a brief trip and wanted to be as off the grid as possible. Contactless check in - check! Super rad pool and hot tub fed by natural mineral springs - check. Chill vibe with a few four legged friends to greet - big time check. This place was awesome and unique and gave us such a fun space to hang out and relax. The ownership checked in to make sure all was well but really gave us the freedom and space to just be. Decor is outstanding and mid century meets dog centric. 5 stars. Will absolutely stay again.

My husband and I had an awesome stay for our anniversary! Dog friendly and 4/20 friendly! Mineral pool and spa. Beds were comfortable rooms were clean. Owner was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations! Smoking area and a “community kitchen”. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved this place. Its not just dog friendly, its dog welcoming! Immaculate, no dog smells. Pools are clean and no yucky chlorinated smell. The owner is super friendly. Bed is comfy and the Wi-Fi is Good! A heads up, if you have big dog jumpers then, yes, the back gate may be a bit low, just so youre ready. We cant recommend highly enough. Thank you, John!

A wonderful surprise in the desert! The entire place has been completely rebuilt and the rooms are really nice, and everything is squeaky clean. But, most amazing is that your dog can be off leash and just hang out with you. They have dog beds in the rooms, and the addition of the kitchen to the room made the stay really pleasant. Best of all, the place only has 6 rooms, so there is never a crowd in the mineral water pool or spa. This would be a great place for a family reunion to hang out in the desert, check out palm springs, and just relax!

What a great place! My husband and I came for a two-night stay, including an amazing 4th of July party! The pool and spa are perfect, not over chlorinated, so you get the true feeling of the amazing mineral Waters. The Innkeeper was more than friendly and accommodating! The room was clean and perfectly accommodated. Our dog Odie had a blast too! We will absolutely be back and we absolutely recommend the Desert Hot Springs Inn!

The perfect place for a dog. Leash free everywhere. Built in the 50s so a small bathroom but tastefully decorated. Great pools open all night. It is off the beaten path away from most hot spots and on a busy road. If you have a dog it is couldnt be better.

The hot springs are clean here, with surprisingly great food, and good insulation. I was surprised to find that an entire family was in the suite above us. We never heard them - and at the pools, those kids were wild! Lots of fun, they set up a hookah by the bar.

This adorable little boutique hotel is so relaxing! John was so welcoming and made sure every question was answered before we even had to ask!The vibe was so chill and relaxing, the pool was the perfect temp, the rooms were clean and there were so many little blink and youll miss it details. Pay attention!Dog and cannabis friendly but no one is in your face about either.I will be back. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

The short version is this is a remodeled motel where you can keep your dogs with you. Unfortunately the owner (who also runs the place) seems like she doesnt really like people or dogs. We felt unwelcome from the moment we got there.Edit: regarding other reviews that said they had pleasant check-in, etc... Im not sure if she is not always like that and was having an exceptionally bad few days or personally disliked us for some reason, but she was easily the worst part of the stay, from the moment we arrived. I just felt that needed to be said.Longer Version:The place itself is nice enough, unless youre expecting an inn, or a spa-like place (both of which are advertised). Everything was clean and there was a large area in the back for the dogs - the only problem is theres only a 2 foot fence, so dogs could jump over and get out if they wanted (and it is next to a road with a decent amount of traffic). My dog isnt a jumper/digger/runner so I wasnt worried but others might need to.There are other amenities like a full kitchen, grill, and fire pit outside that would have been very nice, but guests arent allowed to use them. Walls were very thin and you could hear folks walking and talking, and amplifies the sound of wind - there was moderate wind the last night, but sounded like a gale or hurricane outside so we really couldnt get much sleep (and Im from FL, so Ive had some practice sleeping through hurricanes). The shades dont block out much light, so sleeping past dawn is difficult, even with the comfortable beds and pillows.Overall, it is a nice looking place with great views, but it never felt welcoming nor relaxing. It was priced lower than others in the area, but if we had stayed someplace else the weekend would have been more enjoyable. Im glad my stay is over, and I would never choose to stay there again.

I couldnt ask for a better time. We stayed at the Resort the whole 3 days. I had no desire to go do something as long as my stay was going so well. Rooms were very clean, pool and hot tube were perfect, and the other guest were very pleasant to be around. Staff was great and made sure everyone had what they needed. To sum it up, THANKS JOHN FOR A GREAT WEEKEND!! We will be bad.

Spent 2 fabulous days here and we were very pleased. Quiet, clean, comfortable, recently updated and well appointed suites and rooms that ooen to the mineral pool and spa. Dogs allowed no extra charge but very well behaved and you barely knew there were any there. Large public kitchen avail as well as breakfast in the morning. I would definitely return here to relax my achey muscles.

I didnt see that they cater to pets. The floors are dark marbled so the dogs wont tear up the carpet. I think it doesnt have much furniture for that reason. The interior has scratches on the door and furniture. The chair is comfy . I wish for a desk. It gave a beachy front feel because it minimal and the sun smacks you in the morning. It has a hostel feel because everyone shares a kitchen and dinning area. It has only 8 rooms so the pool and spa was not over crowded at all.

This place is a total desert gem, an oasis hidden away. Dogs run freely and you are well take care of here by the great staff! Not to mention the rooms her are beautiful an there is great variety between them so you will find just what you are looking for. The location is close to a lot of restaurants which are popular and is approximately 30 minutes from the living desert zoo. Joshua tree is nearby as well!

Pros: reasonable rate, adults only, well appointed community kitchen and fridge (really could cook a meal, even oil and seasonings, etc), spring fed pool & hot tub. Great place to take over with a small group. Dog friendlyCons: 2nd floor rooms accessed only by stairs, small bathroom; lots of traffic on Hacienda had to sleep with ear plugs, dog friendly neighborhood, lots of barking at night.

Pool was not heated and it was needed for me to do my aqua therapy , but John was more than helpful and offered a refund . I opted for a comp stay instead and it was no problem.

This plaxe could have been awesome. I was so excited to stay here. However, this place is just an overrated motel with a crotchety owner. The spa is just a pool and the owner is the least hospitable host I have ever encountered. It was like we were inconveniencing her to stay there. Every time she saw us she would walk right by with a scowl on her face. Not even a hello. The beds were comfortable but that was literally the only redeeming quality about this place. The walls were thin so we could hear everyone else, and the road was right outside our window. I will not return, if for nothing else than I dont want to give the owner the business. Its like she opened this place and then decided she actually hated people and dogs. If you enjoy feeling like an unwelcomed house guest, then go here.

I shared a double-suite (connecting kitchen) with a sister, her wife, and 4 canines total.Everything was just great. Appreciated the amenities of being an Inn for dogs, that makes it a spa for them ...Breakfast provided, jacuzzi, comfortable rooms and common areas.Just booked another getaway for MLK weekend. The surrounding desert is beautiful, and we find the owner accommodating and respectful.

I almost could give the Desert Hot Springs Inn 5★s-Unfortunately, a few things stopped me from doing that!We arrived late at night for our 2-night stay, so we had to find out for ourselves that not only did we NOT have an in-room refrigerator, but the communal refrigerator was at the other side of the Inn. This was unfortunate, as we had stopped off at the local Rite-Aid and bought milk, juice, soda, and ice cream.We purchased an ice chest the next day so we wouldnt have to walk to the communal refrigerator when we woke up thirsty in the middle of the night. We purchased ice for chest as well, since there isnt an ice machine at the Inn.Im able to overlook these things as well as a grubby toothbrush-cup in the bathroom or a few patches of unswept dog hair on the floor of our room because they do allow dogs and its a beautiful place!

It was excellent because the room was very clean and the space for our 3 dogs to hang out is fantastic!!! The shower had great water pressure. I loved it.

We found this place on accident but it was no accident. It is a gem and John the Inn keeper is the best host. Being unleashed dog Friendly has brought us back each time we want to get away.

We had a great time here! Definitely worth the drive from Joshua Tree. We were super grateful they allowed our fur babies to stay with us!! We will definitely be back!!

For Old, oudated Palm Springs this place packs a punch! Not much of a decor, but the food is AWESOME!!!Got a GREAT massage from JULIE...she definitely knows her stuff! Would go back just to see her! Shes amazing!!!The Gift Shop is Top Notch! Kuddos to The Buyer and Owner! Variety and style is on Point!! I was impressed that off season they still had rafts to buy!!! Clothes impecable.. cant say enough .. Mabe xl sizes too.The only thing it lacks is you dont feel any ombience...Front desk lacks being invited...needs a MAJOR overhaul and some phooophoooness. Should ask the Gift shop owner for help with the front desk. Definitely more cleanliness too.Bar lacks inviting..maybe instead of the gate to keep wanders out .. should of spent it on a bigger bar..soooo much potential there!And that band should play on Saturday as well.Guests should have green wristbands, Day Guests another color and you could of saved money on the gate and used it on the bar. Logic behind the gate and wristbands made no sense. Seems like they are comfortable just getting by but this place could be off the hook with just a few changes....Over all, I loved the place and would definitely come back!!!!

A garden oasis in Desert Hot Springs! Wonderful views of the valley, beautiful gardens, clean and comfortable rooms, amazing hot water, and proprietors that are just lovely people. Will be heading back again.

Without a doubt it was one of the best stays on our trip to the US. Very friendly as soon as you arrive, a very clean place, decorated with taste and care down to the smallest detail.They even upgraded us to a better room for a small problem. I would recommend it to anyone passing through the area leaving Joshua Tree. Incredible pool and jacuzzi.Thank you a thousand times!!
