This spa/hotel is just 15 minutes from the airport. Great views day and night due to its dark isolated location in the north. Staff were great and available if needed, pool and heated spas were excellent and are reported to be from a local hot spring. Older Charm, Tuscan vibe and authenticity exude in this place. Lots of space and day beds to relax on near the pool. I would book again as the price was right. All is accessible if wheelchair or if health needs are your main concern. Some driving distance from pharmacy or medical facility. Room was cozy and up to date. Limited TV so we enjoyed watching Hogans Heroes, and twilight zone. Included Breakfast on our last day was late due to the time change I believe but was adequate other days. Plenty of spa items to choose from but we didnt indulge.
Tuscan Springs in Desert Hot Springs is a hidden gem nestled in the spa zone, boasting some of the hottest mineral water, known to have some of the highest level of rich minerals across the United States. Having frequented this boutique spa for years, I can attest to its unparalleled charm and rejuvenating qualities. The hotel’s meticulous remodeling over the past three decades, embracing the timeless Tuscan style, reflects the owner’s profound love for Italy, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. What sets Tuscan Springs apart is not just its luxurious amenities, but also the warm hospitality of its owners, who go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay for every guest. Their mindfulness towards avoiding toxic fragrances enhances the serene atmosphere, allowing visitors to truly unwind and indulge in the therapeutic benefits of the mineral-rich waters.Despite its lavish offerings, Tuscan Hot Springs maintains a refreshingly fair pricing compared to other resorts in the area, making it accessible to a wide range of travelers seeking solace amidst the breathtaking views of the valley and mountains. Whether you’re soaking in the healing waters or simply basking in the natural beauty of the desert landscape, a stay at Tuscan Springs promises an unforgettable retreat for the mind, body, and soul.
Great views when in early spring, we love the atmosphere and the environment there, a bit pricey for us as were hoping to feel only the mineral springs without chemicals, but the pool water was adding in too much chlorine during our stay.It might be that the hotel has to keep the 24-hour maintenance for the pool...its still an awesome stay for our quick getaway trip.
I really enjoyed staying here. When we first arrived, I was a little concerned that it was 25 minutes from Palm Springs and all the restaurants. By day 2, this was a benefit. Its quiet and relaxing, very small hotel. Always was able to find a cabana to relax on. Service was great and the spa was really nice.
Very good hotel for relaxing) Sauna, pools and jacuzzi are great .There are beautiful views. It would be better, if the shower which is near jacuzzi will be fixed and have warm water. And I also think, that the breakfast had healthy food not enough for the hotel, which has mineral springs and takes care about guests health. I hope that all this things will be better in future:)
Absolutely magically boutique hotsprings run with care and true old world hospitality in the Desert Hotsprings of California. I spent my 40th birthday here and it was magically soaking in the warm hot springs overlooking the sunset over Arrowhead Mountain. The gardens were impeccable and the rooms and service that is increasingly uncommon to encounter these days in such a fast paced transactional consumer driven society. This is a rare gem of a place and experience that truly embodies the spirit of Desert Hot Springs
Our go-to when we want to spend a little more for a relaxing, peaceful experience. The hot springs will melt your cares away. No kids, no piped-in music, no rules other than dont be too noisy. Want to swim under the stars at 3 AM? Please do. Want to sleep on a day bed all day in courtyard number three? They welcome it.Please note, the CITY of Desert Hot Springs itself is unfortunately nothing special to look at or experience - has seen better days - so this is unfortunately an arrive-at-the-resort-and-stay-there-all-the-time situation, but its worth it. Beds are supremely comfortable, there are two giant pools and one smaller hot tub, an expanded continental breakfast and superb views of the mountains across the valley. We didnt partake in any of the extra spa services because the grounds alone brought our blood pressure way down. Enjoy.
Great place! Massages were incredible, and everything was perfect in the resort. Comfortable and spacious rooms, and the pools were so relaxing. Well definitely be staying here again and highly recommend this place. Shout out to Arthur for making our stay extra special.
Atop of Desert Hot Springs lies a hot spring oasis like none-other, it feels like you are literally in paradise. Carefully crafted hand laid tiles, beautiful gardens, meticulous customer service, natural mineral waters, a delicious breakfast, comfy beds and linens, a gorgeous view and the list goes on… at this point you’ll have to go and find out the rest! Been going here for years and planning many more to come …
My first visit was in 2022 during Labor Day weekend, and I havent stopped thinking about it ever since. Tuscan Springs was truly a unique experience and I cant wait for the opportunity to stay there again!
We went to the hotel for a spa day and loved it. The place is what i would call a hidden gem. Very rustic yet luxurious amenities. We enjoyed the hot springs via hot tubs and pool (included with spa service)before our massages. My friend received the Tuscan Signature massage and I had a relaxing 60 minutes of Reflexology - Corey was great! I would go again if ever in the area and highly recommend for anyone wanting to treat themselves.
Enjoyed our 7 day stay. Room was clean and comfortable and kitchenette well stocked. Pools and hot tub clean and perfect temperatures. Friendly staff and other guests. Facility was quiet and relaxing. We used the hotel as a base to explore Joshua Tree, Indian Canyons, Pioneertown, and the Palm Springs area.A couple downsides to our stay: no staff on site after 5 pm; breakfast choices limited and the same everyday; and some of the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced. Minor issues over all.
Went for a spa day and it was wonderful. Massages were the best we had and the service was warm and friendly.
Incredible hotel. Gorgeous grounds, hot spa, swimming pools and sauna were impeccably clean. Really comfy bed, plenty of pressure in the shower. A good choice of food for breakfast. Loved it here, didnt want to leave.
My partner and I are already wondering when we can return! A beautiful and quiet oasis in the desert with friendly patrons and staff, beautiful Italian inspired tiled decor, plenty of seating to lounge in the sun, and a beautiful view of snowcapped mountains from our room! The most relaxing vacation weve had in awhile.Theres not much to do in the immediate area but palm springs is a 20 minute drive away 😊
Quaint and quiet. 3 different pools to soak in. A hot tub under a pergola, an in ground pool and a smaller in ground pool with jets, in the shade. There were cabana type beds to lay on that were comfortable enough that I could have easily fallen asleep. Lockers were provided. Drinking water was also available. Everything seemed clean and well taken care of, especially given all the sand being blown in the area the night previously. My fiance and I has a very relaxing day spent soaking there. We will go back.
Most amazing massage I’ve had in 25 years! We did the 2 hour Swedish couples massage and both my husband and I were quite impressed. I had Kerry (man) and he had Maria. We hung by the pools for a bit before and after. I would recommend bringing your own beverages as they don’t have service. The grounds could use some upgrading, not sure I would stay there, but would definitely be back for another massage service!
A nice family owned resort/ spa near Palm Springs. The owners lived in Italy and there is a true, rustic Italian feel to it as opposed to the corporate designed resorts that were built recently. Lots of beautiful plants and sitting areas. The pools are mineral water and warm. Breakfast is served at 0830. This was a good getaway spot from the city and we will come back again. Thank you!
We wanted a quick getaway, and found this hotel online. The owner made us feel warm and welcome upon check in, and we were surprised by the beautiful gardens, pool, and hot tubs. The room was clean and cozy, and we felt as if we were staying in someones home rather than a hotel. Breakfast was great, and the massages we had at the spa were amazing. It was one of the most relaxing weekend getaways weve ever had. We will definitely be planning another trip here soon!
What a great little gem.. We were a bit surprised when we arrived and saw the place from the outside... once checked in what was possible earrlier than announced and went smooth.. A little italian pearl opened.. Very cosy and fine rooms, providing all you needed. The landscape and view is amazing. An adult resort with 18 rooms, very quiet and neat.Fresh and good tasting breakfast as well.
Great spot to relax and enjoy a mineral spring and dip in the pool. Rooms are very comfortable, especially the bed, but the setting itself is very unique. Each courtyard looks very different and makes you feel like it’s your own private retreat. This trip was mid week, in the middle of summer and especially so, but our last trip was on the weekend during prime season, while fully booked and still felt that way. Breakfast was a little different than last due to Covid, but appreciated the extra effort to individually wrap food items. Definitely a place to come back often as the owner did remember us and treated us accordingly.
Loved our short one stay in this little slice of paradise! It was so peaceful. The owners are kind and friendly. They have put so much attention to detail into ever piece of furniture and space. The pool deck and patios are beautiful. The breakfast is generous and delicious- waffles, English muffins, eggs, even avocados, and French press coffee. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious but cozy. Rooms are even equipped with some dishes and a corkscrew if needed. Highly recommend!
Best massage I ever had ! Maria is a pro ans knows her stuff . Camellia is the nicest person makes you feel welcomed! The hot springs are absolutely amazing and therapeutic!
For a 3 Star hotel (which all the hot springs hotels in the area are 2-3 star hotels) I would give it a 2/5 .. It could definitely improve a bit to get a better review.- We tried booking special package from the website 4 days in advance of our stay. This required to phone in between 9-5. We managed to book the room but were told to call back the next day to confirm spa availability. This was the same response the next day and we were then told to book it when we arrived. Upon arrival we were unable to now book the special rate package. :/ we did get to book all of the services but had to pay individually. (so it cost like $200 extra) When we booked the massages for the next day we had 2 potential times but the lady in the front said she needed to confirm the therapist. In the morning we had no confirmation and then were given no choice of time or option to change day or cancel. As we were stuck with the time we didnt want, this felt a bit weird how it went down. All the bookings with the lady in front were unclear and pretty lame. The couples massage is a mixed review. We get weekly massages and one of the therapists was amazing .. great massage pressure, intuitiveness, great scalp work scrub and wrap. However my therapist seemed to be new and not experienced :( I have a pinch in my neck for 6 days and counting. I did not get scalp work or a scrub compared to my partner. The wrap was not very tight either :( I am not sure this therapist is brand new or even certified.- facial was done by someone very nervous and not knowing the equipment, did not feel confident with it or worth it... best part was the 5 min of arm massage... this is the same for the gentlemen facial and the full peal facial...- continental breakfast is good. Avocados, tomatoes, and lots of carbs and hard boiled eggs, french press access, but the all day coffee and cookies is relative. They always ran out of creamer (none available before 830am) cookies always ran out. toaster should be replaced.- rooms are nice and fairly clean and updated. However ours was 62 degrees when we arrived in the evening and it took most of the first night for the room to rise 10 degrees.- we had a king room with patio and mountain view. The view was minimal... and the patio is not actually covered ... so if its rainy you wont get to enjoy.- the tubs and pool are nice but prob not the hottest in the area we will have to find out by trying other places when we return. if you want fresh towels they are only available 9-5 and they will only give you 1 per person over night. So bring towels or be ready to use a wet one each evening and or early morning.- resort has about 20 rooms so its fairly private even when busy.-tuscan is relative... there is a worn out sign with a cowboy behind the main building out back ... so this used to be a lodge by the worn out name... theres random tiki carvings and random Italian (tuscan ) art work / pieces... but pretty minimal as far as Italian influence/ look/ feel...All of that said we enjoyed each others company and the soaks... but would reconsider the spa services. (dont forget slip proof shoes... floors are slick!!!!)
Nice, quiet, relaxing place. I did not stay here as a hotel guest, but stayed for the afternoon for two spa services. I arrived early and was able to use the various pools before and after my treatments. The pool area and gardens were nice to relax in. It is not a 5-star experience: ie, some parts of the buildings seem older and worn, but the price is reasonable as compared to other spas. I would go back.
My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway. It was perfect. The property is beautiful. We were amazed of how clean and manicured the grounds are. There are multiple courtyards with beautiful and colorful gardens. We sat in front of the outdoor fireplace and had dinner each evening. There are plenty of restaurants in the area for takeout or delivery. The pool and spa tubes were fill with crystal clear mineral water from the natural spring. They are open 24 hrs. We also enjoyed the having breakfast each morning with a view of the mountains from the pool deck. Our room was comfortable and big. However, we didnt spend much time in it as we were either enjoying the hot tubs or on a nearby hike. The owners are very friendly and really make you feel at home. We are already planning on returning.
Hidden gem oasis in Desert Hot Springs. Visited this place for day use only. Appreciated that it wasnt crowded but there are a few different soaking tubs / pools and very comfortable lounge chairs and couches to relax, read and nap! Wish there was some kind of food or drink service or deli / coffee bar available even for self-service. But if you are intermittent fasting or bring your own picnic food or drink then this is a paradise.
Doesnt look like much from the outside, but a paradise inside. 3 different pools with different temperatures, lounge chairs, day beds, sunny and shady spots, just wonderful! Rooms are cozy, nicely decorated, with mini fridge and microwave. Optional massage services offered, highly recommended! We will be back!
We really loved the old world atmosphere of this place. Its located on a rise above most of the rest of the town, so it has a nice view of the valley and mountains. The owners are very friendly and welcoming - and are personally involved in accommodating the guests. It has the feel of a small town, Italian guest house. The hot spring pools were enjoyable, and the breakfast provided was fresh and homey. Everything on the property seems to have history to it and might feel dated to some people while charming to others. Everything is clean, where it matters - the way a European traveler would expect. I like that the place is not a big, corporate, cookie-cutter property as you would find in neighboring towns. Desert Hot Springs is small and doesnt have a night life, so if a person wants more activities, they should be ready to drive to nearby Palm Springs or surrounding points of interest. The Tuscan Springs Hotel is a good place to un-plug and forget what time - or day it is.Desert Hot Springs:It’s a small desert town, so look for points of interest to drive to - or just de-stress by relaxing in the mineral pools, reading and investigating nearby eateries.
Beautiful place. If you enjoy spa vacations, this is the place for you. The building and decor was rustic and beautiful. The pools and baths were so clean and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious. The way that the place is designed, you get to see other guests during breakfast and its very warm and communal. Its a great oasis for couples. It looks like a Spanish monastery in the desert with some Italian decor. I loved the whole vibe. I want to come back for the massages when COVID restrictions are removed.
Just spent 3 days of pure relaxation and wonderful pampering. Love, love the Italian influence in this resort...from the decor throughout the entire facility to the ambiance created in your room and into the spa treatment rooms. The staff, including the owner, was outstanding providing some of the best spa treatments that I have experienced. This will be a favorite and I will be returning...again and again.
My wife and I came here for our 40th anniversary. We were very pleased. Its cozy, quiet, the pool and spa are clean, and well kept. Best of all is we didnt have to remortgage our house to stay 3 days.
I don’t know what to begin with since the place and customer service were simply AMAZING.I’ll start with the staff, since they were first to warmly welcome us. This is a family business and these people really treat you like one of theirs. The place is very well designed.Rooms are cozy with a great taste of rustic modern style. The pools and jacuzzis are separated from the rooms areas, therefore you won’t get people complaining about noise if u hang by the pool with your friends after hours (of course, unless u would go manic and throw a full on party lol)Massage? One of the best I had in my entire life and Tanya nailed it from trigger points to myofascial release. Very knowledgeable and aware of the pressure applied all the way throughout the session.Thank you very much for this amazing experience and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again 🙏
I did not get a room this, my first visit. However, I did the day spa and body massage. What a great afternoon and yes, I will be back
This place is the cutest boutique hotel in desert palm springs. The landscapes/amenities are amazing; the pools are refreshing even in 115 degree weather. While the room decor is rustic, the rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are amazing and accommodating. The DIY breakfast bar is perfect.
I love Tuscan Springs. Its such a good break from city life to just get out of town. They have 3 pools; a hot tub, swimming pool and medium-sized roman bath-style pool. Theres also a hidden sauna which is very relaxing too. Rooms are great sized, and last time I got the room with the mountain view that had its own private balcony. Great breakfast spot. I highly recommend staying here!
Wonderful Mineral water pool & two hot tubs to cool off in or soak. Nice comfy rooms, xlnt beds, fridge & microwave, AC & ceiling fans, Attractive grounds, free breakfast, city lights view from sun deck, wonderful hosts eager to please. BONUS No Children policy 21 yrs & up makes for a relaxing quiet & enjoyable stay.
Very private boutique hotel great for a small group. Wonderful pools and hot tub! Free breakfast. Not a central location so be prepared to drive. Tasteful decor and very quiet. Would have given 5 stars but they charge $35 extra for each person over a reservation for 2. Some minor maintenance needed and kind of an interesting neighborhood.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing. I loved that our room had french doors that go out to a private patio. Loved the courtyard garden areas. Pool , jacuzzi and sauna was great. We will definitely be back.
My Husband and I have stayed there multiple time and love it! The staff is very nice and worried on your needs and will do what ever you ask them! Rooms are really nice and spacious with everything you may need. Pools are open all night long and feel amazing! highly recommended!!
Very relaxing atmosphere. The pools are clean and comfortable. The veiw is amazing on a clear day. The massages were relaxing as well. Overall this place was exactly what I was looking for. I am definitely hoping to come back and stay here to enjoy the atmosphere and view again.
Wife and I stayed for 3 days starting on Saturday the 25th. The first day was beautiful weather and the resort was perfect. A cold front came through and is was cold and windy. The surprise was the Roman spa. It was hot and very relaxing even with the cold and wind. We had a couples massage that was EXCELLENT! The owners are friendly and graceous. They had breakfast ready for us early so we could take advantage of an early morning soak in the hot tub. They will be doing some renovations soon, we plan to visit again
We did not stay at the hotel, but were day guests at the spa - which is very nice. If you schedule a spa service, then use of the mineral baths is included. The mineral baths were wonderful and the naturally heated water leaves you feeling great. The Tuscan Signature massage is also highly recommended.
What a great oasis! Hot tubs and pool are incredibly clear, clean and inviting. Facilities are so nice and Arthur is an amazing host/concierge!
(Translated by Google)The place is very cozy and quiet. At the time of our visit, there were no guests in the pool area, so the situation for my husband and I was ideal for relaxation. The indoor pool was disappointing. If you turn on the jacuzzi, it turns out to be difficult to stay in it, because... chlorine vapor rose into the air. Our eyes began to water and we left this part of the baths.
Tuscan Springs was an absolute delight! Once you cross the threshold you feel as if you have exhaled all your tension and entered a place of peaceful beauty. This facility is family-owned and run. They are amiable and attentive to your every need. I and my daughter are planning to return again and again as a place to re-charge your batteries. Full spa services are available, but even if you simply rest by the pool or in the spa or swim in the warm mineral water pools or sauna, it is pure bliss! I highly recommend Tuscan Springs.
Concepcion gives an amazing massage. From the moment u step in the lobby. The world becomes truly beautiful. The hot tubs awesome and sauna. I go once every 2 weeks for my massage and soaking in the hotsprings. I LOVE TUSCAN SPRINGS!
My husband and I stay here two to three times a year.It is always immaculate and comfortable. We just spent the night this past weekend. Camilia and her husband take pride in their charming little resort. They serve amazing French press coffee and a European style continental breakfast. We take our tray to a table on the patio and enjoy the view of Mt San Jacinto.
Very nice boutique spa and hotel inside, wasteland outside. Lots of outdoor spaces to gather with friends, multiple pools and fireplaces, etc. Very exposed to the wind and windy roughly all the time, but the outdoor common areas are reasonably protected. Just dont plan on doing anything outside the walls.
The area is a bit seedy but when you enter the resort it’s like night and day. The service was extremely friendly and attentive to guests needs. The mineral pools were very relaxing and spa services were well worth it.
Jem of a hotel! Well kept, and very nice with charming courtyards and 3 beautiful pools. The neighbourhood isnt the best, but the hotel was worth every penny. Great romantic get away where you feel like youre transported to another world!
This place was incredible. I mean the only thing that I could think of that would make it better would be a wine hour! I would pay an additional fee for it. It was wonderful. The pools and facility was spotless. It was so laid back. Other guests were friendly. It was truly a gem!
If I can give this place zero stars I would but unfortunately I cant, as I had one of the worst experiences ever. Place is run down and dirty with leaves all around, and not well kept. There breakfast was a joke as it consisted of rotten oranges and the waffle machine was in a dirty condition and to make matters worse there are coachroaches there and when I confronted the owner about this issue, she justified that its a normal bug that flys as she did not see anything wrong with it. Luckily I got my money back but I would not recommend this place unless you want to sleep with bug infested coachroachs.
A wonderful oasis in the desert. Small boutique resort and spa for adults only. Healthy options for breakfast and wonderful mineral pools and hot tub. Very clean and quiet.
Beautiful place to stay. So peaceful and wonderful to relax at. Pool and jacuzzis open 24hrs was the best part! Thank you for a great experience! 10/10 will be coming again!
Enjoyed just being able to unwind and relax,24/7pools are awesome, great mineral pools, relaxing couches outside and beautiful sunset and sunrise area. Coffee bar and snacks nice amenities, owners are friendly and very cordial.
This place was amazing. Its one of the most pleasant places Ive ever stayed. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The pools and pool area is great. I highly recommend this boutique hotel.
This is not your average hotel. From the room decor, three pools, spa, and breakfast services, theyre all truly wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back.
Amazing place with amazing view and facilities.1 pool, 1 hot mineral water pool and 1 jacuzzi.
Stayed 2 nights for coachella. Diamond in the rough. Service was excellent, room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the pools were beautiful.
This place is a joke, they have no vending machines, no food, no water machine or water available.. Massage was nice but extremely expensive.. We had a party of 3 and had to have our treatments all at different times due to there lack of workers so we where unable to even have a nice time together.. We spent no time there after our treatment it was to old run down and dirty.. Pool furnature was so rusty I was afraid of getting scratched and infected.. Just terrible...
Really a very relaxing place, great Hosts, nice breakfast and to be able to swim 24/7 is very nice, beautiful views of desert sunsets and sunrises. Mineral water very special and soothing.
Kind and helpful host! Very clean. The sunset/sunrise are gorgous from the outside balcony. Healthy and fulling breakfast. We will be back!
Loved this my husband and I had such a great and peaceful time that was well needed. The owners were Soo sweet and would help you with anything you needed. Will definitely go back.
Very caring, helpful and friendly owners. Hotel is clean and very, very quiet. Loved it! Will come again! Pools were clean and well maintained. Blissful.
Gorgeous and beautiful and wonderful staff. Will come again
We visited to sample the hot springs. Liked the covered jacuzzi so we could partake even though it was a cold night. Appreciated the breakfast fare.
I highly recommend tuscan springs not only for the super clean rooms and pools but the spa staff on hand are very professional. This place is top notch
Beautiful facilities. Great employees. We had a Couples Massage and it was one of our favorites.
This is only for the spa. Our spa experience wasn’t very relaxing. It feels rush. And the lady in the front desk could be kinder
Homey, cozy hotel. like visiting friends. Very beautiful design. I am delighted!!!!!
Outstanding spa! Very quiet, superior service, and an ambience that makes you never want to leave.
Cute spot, friendly owners. Really nice to not have kids when we get a sitter for a little romantic trip
I love how amazing the staff are. it made the overall experience so much better, its a very relaxing environment.
Mostly clean and very friendly small day spa. Free cabana style beds.
