Hello Everyone my name is Dee ,I was employed at the Sandpiper for a year ,I was a guest and Leslie Valencia known as Les who stayed in room 208. Unfortunately I resigned because Leslie ( Les) Valencia physical attacked me he kicked the door to my room and attacked me a police report was filed and he was told not to harass me. But before all this happened I was already planning to move out for many reasons. What alot of people dont know is that not only I was the manager for the hotel, but I would also clean the rooms ,take out the trash clean the yard handle the bookings and do the laundry along with his personal errands. I would start work at 9am and stop at midnight I didnt have time to myself and I would wake up to him banging on my doors and windows and recently he started turning off the AC unit in my room. For the year I was employed he only paid me about 600.00 another reason I left was because he told me he had sex with a minor and tried showing me the conversation which he still has on his phone and I refused to see but I did inform law enforcement ,he also told me he had hidden cameras in certain rooms I also discovered a vent which is not a vent and it goes directly to his office. I just want to let everyone know before you stay there. the personal he gets to clean rooms dont clean or change the sheets,I brought this up to his attention I also told him that every room had rat droppings and Roaches and he just advised me to spray raid the laundry is where there is more Rat activity and sometimes youll see droppings on the clean towels another neglect hes done is most of the room have black mold and refuses to fix it some of the rooms are 109 and 110 the entire hotel has leaks. He doesnt care about anything all he does is be online dating. I decided to post this because Ive been gone for about a week and even though he was advised by law enforcement not to harass me he continues and now is involving my kids and trying to intimidate me. And wont stop harassing me ,I filed a restraining order against him now. Please be careful your health and safety should always be priority but to him its not. Reports have been filed with OSHA , labor board. And the City of Desert Hot Springs.
I stayed here for 10 days. And on my 7th day, I do admit me and guest was a little loud. And the manager had a Mexican guy with a black hoodie point a gun at me and my kids father while Im 7 months pregnant to tell us to leave... Shes super ghetto.. the owner lives upstairs in 208. I called the cops and they both just acted as if I was delusional when it happened.. I wanted my money back for the remainder days and they wouldnt give it back, so the cops told me I didnt have to leave unless they paid me back.... Its super scary and unexceptable.. everyone there looks like their on speed. And their tvs have no cable they all have the antennas to work...
The first impression of the location was not the best Ive seen. And the rooms were not in their best condition, but the manager was so nice and made our group feel so welcomed and we had a blast at this place. The price of the rooms were very reasonable and it was the deal maker for us. The day we visited was a very windy day, but the BBQ area was nicely surrounded by the hotel and the wall and it was very nice inside. All the bad impressions I had about the place were completely changed by the manager . We had a blast and I would come back again.
Ppl were way nice and helpful, rooms were super clean! Its quiet and peaceful no1 bothering you very low key environment Id recommend and definitely will stay again
I put two stars only because the water in the pool was nice and clean. It doesn’t smell like chlorine. But the owner-manager is absolutely unprofessional . He doesn’t know how to treat customers, manage hotel, deal with groups. He promised our group more convenient rooms for disable people and when we came we found the other group is already occupied those rooms. He would never tell you that in the middle of your group stay unexpectedly will come huge group of Korean church, which is gonna cook all day bbq in front of your windows, make noise early in the morning, etc… . He only wants to make money without normal customer service. How can you trust and deal with this person…we were very disappointed with our last year vacation.
This is a sweet and very home like place to stay I love it also quiet no one bugs you and very nice place to stay. Im giving a 4 star because the water pressure in the shower I wish was way stronger and the tv channels arent very good at all. Overall I would come back again and stay
Booked it, but didnt stay because it seemed better suited for persons looking for permanent residency at discounted rent. A little run down and the police activity was unexpected. Barbed wire along the top of the surrounding ten foot fence gave off a corrections vibe. Kitchen had a hotplate and miniature fridge. Soiled mattresses visible through an open storage room on ground floor. Unkempt man sitting outside by a jacuzzi, picking at his dirty feet. Decided to look elsewhere to stay because I left my gun at home.
The Rooms were smelly and terrible. The adjoining attached room door was open, making us feel very uncomfortable. We kept chairs and table to block the door. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful. The booking was in the name Sandpiper Inn, but the receipt was given under a different name Sea Piper Inn. That was odd.The same property listed under Air B&B was 50 dollars more, and it was 50 dollars less in Expedia.
We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and were pleased. So it was surprising that we found such deplorable conditions and attitudes this time. The first problem was that though we had a reservation for 4 nights, we were informed upon our arrival that we could only stay 3 nights. They had taken a later reservation for a group of rooms and had given our 4th night to that group. Their attitude was that it was just too bad for us.In addition, our room was filthy...not simply dirty. The maid was rude and remarked that replacing a pillowcase was not her job. There was actual hairIn the bathroom sink. It is obvious that if the room was tidied at all after the last guest left, it was done very badly with no inspection afterwards.Obviously, we will never stay here again and want to be certain that others who may be considering making a reservation, be aware of the conditions and attitudes.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone?l
We chose this hotel based on price and reviews, and it was by and large a good choice. Its an older hotel that is steadily being remodeled. That said, once you enter the courtyard it has a unique charm. Our room was renovated with new tile, beds with memory foam mattresses, and an LCD tv with cable on the wall. What set the room apart was the adjoining kitchen, which, though dated, had everything we needed to be self-contained. It had a full sized refrigerator, stove/oven, sink w/disposal, and even a little Weber on the patio. The room had more space than an overpriced Sheraton and felt more like our own apartment than a hotel room. Another unique draw was their natural occurring mineral springs. There are five of them; three spa sized outside, one pool sized outside, and one really hot indoor sauna sized. They all are surrounded by nice ambience, especially at night with restaurant style strung lighting and awnings.I would recommend this place if you have business in Palm Springs. Its only twenty minutes away and very reasonable for what you get. Just realize that it is an older property, and the exterior of the place may give you reservations, but they are nice and responsive, and continuously updating the place
Staying for the Desert Trip festival. The prices are reasonable. The hotel is dated, but the rooms are reasonably updated with new flooring and paint. There were no bath towels or toilet paper when we checked in.It seems very chill. Not loud at all. Location was super convenient.
The rooms are ridiculously over priced. We couldnt get internet in our room and there wasnt even cable. Only 3 channels, none of which were good enough to even watch. Dont waste your money, you can stay at a much nicer place for 3 days for the same price it cost to stay only 1 day here.
I read reviews prior to my stay, and was really concerned about the cleanliness and customer service. I guess they really cleaned up their act. Great resort, the water is AMAZING, the rooms were spotless, and the customer service was superb! Will be returning very soonJosh,
Omg worst place ever!!! This place is a wreck. Over priced, tv doesnt work, sliding glass door doesnt lock, kids running up and down the hallways screaming till midnight. Manager never did anything or offered us a different room with actually a working tv. Beds are gross and stained up! We would have been better off sleeping in our vehicle. This place is a dump and obvisouly no money gets put back in this facility. Highly recommended reserving a better hotel before u find urself stuck at this Hole like us. ( not to mention tomatoe sauce cans holding up the furniture) very classy touch indeed.
I stayed here in November and this place was literally a joke. My room was dirty and used, and the girl who seemed to be in charge was impossible to get ahold of. At one point they locked the front gates and had not given me the passcode to get in! I never saw any staff nor one other guest while there for 5 days. It was actually really really eery. The hot water stopped working the first day and I literally didnt not take one hot shower that entire week. I tried repeatedly to get the woman in charge on the phone to complain/have it fixed and never heard a peep from her.
I really like this place the pool is amazing two beds it is a great hotel. Only thing I would want is probably a kitchen. The workers are very nice, very helpful and kind. I would consider coming hear again.
Lots of pools to choose from and it wasnt crowded. The rooms are big and spacious, even full kitchens are available. The selections offered on the television was very Limited. They should upgrade that.
I booked a 2 night stay at this hotel, from the moment I arrived the staff where very helpful and kind. The room was okay, my son and I really enjoyed the spring fed pool’s. It was only a 45 minute drive to Joshua tree national park from the Sandpiper hotel. There are many food choices in the area. The air conditioning works great, the tv has 3 channels not a big deal if you get a portable DVD player. The local rite aid is 1 mile away and stater brothers market has a red box to rent dvd’s. Bring an hdmi to I phone hook up to watch net flix. My son and I went through the towels quickly but the staff gladly provided more towels. The building is not perfect, it has great character, if it was perfectly maintained it would cost $250-300 a night. My son and I stayed 2 nights here, my son and I where having such a good time, so we spent another night at the Sandpiper. I was treated very well by the owner and his wife, I look forward to coming here again soon. If you are a pretentious snob this place is not for you!
A really beautiful small hotel located above the desert vistas of the Coachella Valley. The charm of this place takes over you as you enter through the front gate. There are four hot relaxing mineral water tubs that are heated directly from the core of the earth. There is also a nice large swimming pool that is consistently warm. The rooms are much more spacious the many luxury hotels Ive seen and almost every room comes with a full kitchen inside. I love sitting on the balcony and just watching the desert valley below me and the majestic San Jacinto Mountains. What a wonderful place.
I dont care about what anyone says ,I love this Hotel . Stephanie is amazing and very professional! I will definitely stay at the sandpiper again!
Very discreet. Great on a budget! Every room had an air fryer! Loved the mineral spa.
For the price its worth some of the rif raf, local transient haven. But they mostly stay to themselves. But the management will work with you or should I say work you.
The staff were friendly...professional!!! Its rustic...peaceful. I stayed for five days...i recommend the Sandpiper Inn & Spa!!! I will come back.
Во всяком соучае, для меня!(Translated by Google)An excellent place to quietly and measuredly plunge into the 45 degree heat in the coolness of mineral water bubbling in large cozy Jacuzzis. Again, under the pressure of the jet, treat your back, legs, arms - for me this is a magical option, it helps to perfectly improve your health in 5-6 days physical condition, Today it was quiet and calm, but after lunch there was a crowd of people, oooooh, this is not very good to eat!!! In any case, for me!
Love this place. A hidden gem in the desert. The waters are truly magical. I’ll be back in a few months, happy I found this place. Great place to unwind and heal.
Stayed here with the family for the weekend. Kids loved the pools. Full kitchen in rooms were great! And beds were comfy.
Great spot, full kitchen in rooms w fridge & microwave also. Steam room & jacuzzi! Friendly service. Worth staying at.
Worst place ever full of dirty people looks like a rehabilitation center for drug addicts do not go to this place
Nice quiet hotel, natural mineral pools and spas, naturally heated. A bit old and run down, but clean. Nice management. Unique character.
Staff was rude and unproffesional while i was staying there the sherriffs department raided the managers room wouldnt recommend this place
Horrible customer service, the guys on the phone keel yelling at me, and even he made the reservation without my name on?? this is really not proffesional

The owner is very kind. Room is pretty clean and quite. Really recommend 👍
Too expensive!!! Went there for years! They went under new management... N raise prives by $200.00 more....N didnt even clean up the place at all really....Not worth it!!
Great view nice people Chad was very helpful and Country also
Bad, bad, bad... they refuse to give me the room because i have a registered service dog. they should look up the laws before they do that again. they are lucky that im not taking this further.

Great place
I visited again after 7 years. In the past, we visited in groups. This time its a family trip. First of all, it is cost effective and the water is good no matter what anyone says. I came with my family and I had a great time.I was able to swim endlessly in three jacuzzis and a large swimming pool and have dinner with my family. The swimming pool was well maintained and the water was very clean and nice. Its different from hotels you pay a few hundred dollars for, but its a family-friendly place where you can feel the atmosphere of the old days. Of course, it seems like the kitchen facilities need to be upgraded, but for the price, there are no major complaints. It would be a good idea to bring your own cooking utensils with you.Anyway, no matter what anyone says, I had a great time even though its been a while.I hope it continues to prosper in the future.
It was a comfortable and nice place to have a meal with friends. The hot spring water is also good. I will choose this place next time I go on a trip with friends.
The water is so clean and nice. I cant tell you how great it is to have a hot spring like this nearby. great
Its so good.. compared to other placesClean and clean. Quiet in the evening...
