Martini Room

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly. I have been so many times the staff knows my drinks by hard. Drag nights be popping. I must admit I havent been to any other theme events there, but I will. I faithfully traveled from Chicago to come to my favorite bar.

Came here for drinks with a couple of friends. Please note there is no food here. We knew that beforehand so a friend of ours brought a charcuterie board. They do allow you to bring food or order from nearby businesses.The drinks are tasty but very sugary. Drinks could’ve been a bit more potent. We ordered quite a bit for the table and left the bar not even tipsy. Which is fine if you just want to taste the drinks. Like I said they’re fairly sugary. There was a Sazerac on the menu that was well done. We switched out the rye whisky for bourbon. When we came to the bar it was fairly empty and as the night went on it did fill up more. There was a 90s night which meant a DJ playing 90s tunes for a cover of $15. We were seated at one of the sofa areas and our friend left to use the bathroom. Next thing we know one of the workers was escorting 2 strangers to sit with us taking up the seat of my friend who has just gotten up to use the bathroom. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. The drinks aren’t worth the money. Bartenders were great, however. I’d suggest spending ur money elsewhere with better drinks

Had an amazing time & I shouldn’t have based a bad night vs so many amazing nights there for my review! My apologies Ula. Anyways the drinks are always amazing and they made me a rocket pop! Loved it!! Great music. Everything was perfect.Update: Hate doing this because Ula is amazing. BUT the vibe has really gone negative. The one bartender, I get it, you have problems but it is not your customers fault. Then the weird wiccan girl, she spits out vile vibes always judging everyone. Blah. I tried coming back and enjoying myself, but I cant, the energy is too negative.Amazing cocktails, service and the owner is such a sweetheart. She really takes pride in her establishment & values customers.It’s clean, classy and very Vegas. The art is always changing on the walls, featuring good artists from the area. On Wednesday’s the martini flights are really good. Highly recommend this spot.

I had such a fun night this past Saturday at the martini room, we walked in to the DJ blasting great music, friendly patrons dancing outside of the bar and ready for a drink. I got a paradise martini, cheesecake martini, and a vodka flight that gave me a choice of three of their house made infused vodkas. I highly recommend this place for a fun night with fancy cocktails. The bartenders were so friendly and the service was quick.

The drinks are good but service is VERY SLOW and the vibes are a little odd. They have a club/lounge seating in the back so you can hang out but the ambiance is catered toward older people, like 30-55 year olds. Drinks are good but it is NOT a vibe. Especially when you try to leave after 1 drink and the bartender has to be chased down.

Best place for a specialty cocktail in Elgin! I always have the martini flight, which allows me to try out several of their newest recipes. The place has a great ambiance, with comfy couches to sit and chat with your friends or a date. Or just sit at the bar and watch as they makes your drinks in front of you. I guarantee youll have a fine evening here!

Delightful. I was there for the band... So the night was poised to be good. Took time to notice the chandeliers, the creativity in combining product posters with mixed media art / muralism, got all the good vibes. These elements allow me to forgive the state of the bathrooms / sugary drinks.

Always a great time at the Martini Room. My wife loves to try the Wednesday monthly flight. I always start with a Picante Martini and then go to their beer selections. Bartenders are great and always remember us and what we drink. Thanks.

I spent quite a few evenings watching my lady perform here. Nice place that hires great entertainment. 5 out of 6 evenings service was very poor. It didnt seem to be poor for everyone, but it was definitely more than just me.

My friends and I went here after dinner for some drinks. It was good. Atmosphere was fun. It was very inclusive. Martin flights available, which is unique. Beer choices were limited, but it isnt called beer room. I would recommend if you are out for a night with the girls. Might not be a place to go out with the guys.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was interesting. A bit more clubby than I was expecting. The music was good but a little loud. Kinda hard to hold a conversation after awhile. Martinis were delicious, not very strong but tasty. Also tried a margarita and it was a bit too sweet.

We love to come here for the flights of martinis mid week, and a martini and old fashioned at other times. they never disappoint. Service is excellent.

Excellent place to go try a bunch of different martinis! We had gone on a Wednesday for their flight special. They have plenty of seating and couches to lounge on. It was a bit dark on the inside and the reminiscent smell of smoke was permeating the room. Other than that, our bartender was friendly and their prices were reasonable!

The atmosphere was very relaxing. If you like an old fashioned, they have a great selection of about 5/6. The bartenders added to the experience. My cousin and I loved it here.

Nice little place with a big impact. Other than the drinks the best thing about it is the staff. Very friendly and attentive. Great service. Tried different drinks and we all found one just right for us. Highly recommend for a night out with family and friends.

The best little lounge with great martinis and great bartenders, in a very chill atmosphere. Best nights to go are Wednesdays (for the $15 flights) and Thursdays (for the $6 martinis) later in the evening if youre the type thats not into crowds.

Great place to visit with my friend, we love the atmosphere and its always great place to sit and talk... Their drinks are always pin point!! Missed out on their avocado margarita so I hope next time they have the ingredients they need!!

Great atmosphere for singles, couples, and groups. When I went we had the special $6 margaritas and brought card games to play at the table. Great experience, will be going back! Also the bartenders are really fun!

I LOVE this place!!! i have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. tonight we got caramel apple and the life is good martinis. i dont like cucumber so life is good was not my thing, (but my gf adores this drink.) the caramel apple was to die for!!! really hits the spot on a chilly fall night. they seal their containers with care, and make sure to add in all the ingredients needed for take out items.not to mention, the younger lady who brought out our drinks ( i believe she said her name was alex) was super sweet and friendly, and explained our order to us! she even took the time to tell us about their raffle special they have going on, which we would absolutely LOVE to participate in!thank you martini room always for the friendly customer service and amazing drinks! we love you guys!

It came up on google as a night club but it was wore of a bar with some lounge couches overall it was good just not what we expected

Bartender couldn’t count past 10 but confidently scammed group out of multiple drinks and tipped themselves in advance generously by providing incorrect change on multiple occasions. Recommend avoiding this establishment and their $12 half-full shots.

First experience here was interesting. My fiancé and I happened to check it out on Saturday which was a Murder Mystery Event night. While we didn’t participate, we were able to hang at the bar, meet the owner/manager, and enjoy 3 different martinis. The vibe in here is amazing and we will certainly be back!

Went here with a few friends, and we had a decent time. Would recommend it if your main goal is to have a place to loiter, with drinks on the side. But not recommended if your main interest is the drinks.Drinks were overall very nice. Definitely would be a five-star review and it not been for the wait times.The waiter was absolutely excellent, although the times that we had to wait for our drinks, order new ones, and even wait for our checks was astonishingly long.Even for the simple request of the check, it took us almost 45 minutes to receive it. We saw an entirely new table walk-in, have their orders taken, and receive their drinks, before we even got our check. All while we were still waiting for said check.

Martini Room is a great place with a great vibe. There are so many types of martinis and cocktails to choose from. Something for everyones palate, whether it be sweet, savory, spicy, etc.

We went on nightmare in chicago street and the bartender here , missed out on a drink, double charged us and tipped herself after making us pay agsin. I will never return to this ghastly establishment and that girl who served us needs to be fired- I will definitely be calling in to speak to a manager as I was openly robbed by her literally and with a horrible service.

I worked this place during zombie fest and I will say it was packed. They have the best drinks, great bartenders, and servers and for as crowded as It was they def did well under pressure The security team went above and beyond making sure things went smooth. I highly recommend this place if you wanna have a fun time with awesome 🍸 🍹 🍸 🍹

My wife and I went out for a date night and ended here and we were so happy we did. Ian was out bartender, he was awesome. He was extremely personable, attentive(not just to us but other guests as well), knowledgeable about mixology and different libations and flavor profiles, he was also extremely entertaining and efficient while making everyone’s preferred drink. Ian made the place awesome, fun and enjoyable, will definitely return and I hope Ian is there to make my ‘Smokin’ Guns martini.

The BEST Martinis in Elgin if not in Illinois. Love the atmosphere, music. Great place. Cant wait to go back

Ive been coming here for years. Tonight was my childhood best friends bachelorette party. I called ahead but they reserved the V.I.P. area for us. The staff was incredible as always. CJ was an extremely patient and attentive server. They made sure we were well taken care of and no matter what I came up to them and asked for they remembered to a T and were super friendly. Ian even though he wasnt out waitress joked with us and was so chill with us. Even if we got too loud (I personally did) they asked us nicely. Ive always loved this place its why I chose it as my childhood best friends bachelorette party location. The drinks NEVER disappoint. My favorites are the Espresso Martini and The Paradise but any drink Ive ordered Ive never been disappointed. 11/10 would recommend The Martini Room to anyone who loves alcohol and a chill vibe. Best staff. Best drinks. I want to give a shout out to Angel for being so sweet and helping us where he can.

Been here several times -always had a great experience.My friend had passed away and he was a regular here. When a group of us met here for a remembrance, the staff made us a special drink and named it after him. It was a very kind gesture that we all appreciated.

In town on business, found this place and was intrigued. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the artwork that adorned the walls by local artists pulled the room together. Had a great time and the martinis were fantastic. The bartender and bar back were very conversational and welcoming. Definitely will visit again!

The atmosphere was casual, prices were very reasonable ...I loved the brick decorMan..... The DJ was spot on with great music, our server was very considerate with awesome suggestions... the couches were comfy---but you can sit at the bar or at high tables if you prefer. Their restrooms were spacious and clean. I liked that it was not too packed and the crowd was mellow. Chillaxed...We had a great time and you will too!

Fun atmosphere, chill and relaxing. They offer a wide variety of martinis. Staff wasnt knowledgeable and overcharged us. When we questioned, they admitted they overcharged, but couldnt return our money because we used credit cards? The amount wasnt worth the hassle, but the experience was ruined.

What I love about Martini Room, aside from their delicious drinks, is that its one of the more unique bars/lounges in the Fox Valley. The ambiance, the music, the live events, are all things that I would travel some distance to experience.Dont sleep on the staff either, very friendly and welcoming. If youre in the area, do yourself a favor and swing by this place for a drink (or three).

The Martini Room was an incredible historic location in the heart of downtown Elgin. They had a expansive list of cocktails to order all unique and incredibly well thought out. My girlfriend got a cocktail with a flaming stalk of rosemary in it that delighted the sences and the espresso Martini was perfect with 2 chocolate coffee beans at the bottom. A great staff and a very homly vibe inside the bar made it the perfect place to get drinks. Not to mention we got to enjoy a murder mystery cocktail party while we were there!

It was a very good experience. I said if one of the couches that were super comfy. I dont remember our servers name. Tall guy long hair, super nice super attentive definitely on his game. Great personality. We will definitely be coming back.Came back again for a friends birthday and the experience was even better! The server remembered me, even though it was more than a month since my first visit and he was fun, helpful and entertaining! We had more fun than we should have, haha!Thank you for your consistently awesome service!

Let me start with-ASK FOR JERRY !!!!!!Espresso martini 15 out of 10 honestly, with the chocolate covered coffee bean at the bottom.Vibe is unmatched too, they greeted right away & let us know what’s good like family.Live music fridays. DJ on Saturdays. Perfect Chicago bar vibes in the most low key spot.

My favorite drink to order is the guava martini! Such a fun atmosphere and enjoy seeing how involved they are in their local community. I also enjoy taking advantage of their cocktails-to-go when I feel like being a homebody.

We have been here a few times. We love the atmosphere. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The drink suggestions are on point and I havent had a drink that wasnt amazing! Definitely would recommend giving it a try!

Nice ambiance. Converted warehouse/beatnik sort of vibe. Decent selection. What I didnt like, was the rather impersonal staff, the time it took them to notice me (even though there were not many customers), or the FREEZING cold bathroom. Seriously, it was probably 50 degrees back there.

Really great prices for drinks I always love -have yet to be disappointed. Super-friendly staff that offer table service and are great at checking in. Sometimes theyll have a DJ or live music. I havent been around for the live music, but the two DJs Ive seen have played decent music, mostly popular with a mix of their preferences. Its an overall nice place to chill.

We have been here twice in the last 2 years. We went back because our first experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere here is wonderful. The art on that is display, which is for sale, adds a little flare to what could be a very dull wall. The service was quick and friendly.

We have yet to have a bad experience here. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The servers have always been attentive and personable. My husband and I always brag about it and love bringing our friends here. We have yet to have any of them not enjoy themselves

Martini flight I had was incredible. Atmosphere was comfartale and clean. Exposed brick wall always a great asset , high ceilings and red pop. I was there earlier in the evening and it was a nice crowd. It sounds cleesha , but it really had a nice vibe .

I come here with friends whenever i can now! the staff are great, martini room has the perfect ambience, the drinks are fantastic, its always clean and warm and friendly. i 10/10, a+, highly recommend trying this place! shoutout to jerry, mike, and ian!

I really enjoy this bar. The staff is super friendly and will accommodate a lot if you are reapectful. The ambience is really chill with their lounge style seating, low lit but colorful lighting, and slightly retro decor. As the name suggests, this bar specializes in vodka and gin based cocktails and they have several specialties that shine through. I personally prefer their gin based drinks and whole heartedly recommend the Giggle Flapper and the Smoking Gun. The drink prices are typical for a cocktail bar and can get a bit pricey if you are paying for multiple people. Overall, if you have a group of friends that want a slightly more upscale bar, this is the place to be. I feel like it should be busier than I usually see it (Saturday nights).

I was Leary at first because of there pricing. I am not even a martini guy nor is my wife. as soon as we walked in it was a cool experience. They had decent live music with really cool seating and an atmosphere that was very fun. The server forgot to serve us after we ordered (he was handling a lot more then I assume was expected). But he made up with it by being very sencier and correcting it not only by taking care of us immediately. But was also beyond fun and truthful about it. I dont even drink martinis, but by gollie I wish I had a DD for the night. I now enjoy martinis (so far from them only). AND the list of them was crazy. They managed to turn us into martini people. That is quite an accomplishment. I would come back in a heart beat and so would everyone I brought. Kudos

We are new to Elgin. Came in on a Saturday at 10:30pm with my two roommates.Tried to give this place a second chance. But 1 star once again :/. Bartenders are nice (especially Ian) but they need extra help. I tried to order 2 shots and two drinks at the bar and the bartender (not Ian) Literally tell me “ I’ll get your shot but your going to have to wait for me to catch up on drinks”. NEVER have I ever been told that... lol when you have to wait for your entire first round to go through your system before getting another drink is down right ridiculous . They are either under-staffed or have extremely poor training.

Great Atmosphere with nice bar area and then a bunch of sofas in the back. Local artists art hanging on the wall for sale. Huge selection of Martinis that taste amazing and priced reasonably.

We went for a few cocktails after work to try the place out. Ended up staying for several hours. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. I recommend if you want an upscale place to relax and have a few great drinks.

WhAt can I say...... I change my own oil and brakes.... Never expected to love martinis but this is my adult Dairy Queen! Love the Cheesecake martini and the Godiva martini and lol they even have a peanut butter martini..... seriously what’s more there to say......

Great atmosphere. Wide, wide selection of martinis. The dirty girl scout is my favorite. They also have won Best Martini in the burbs award.

Decent martinis, but, thats all they have going for them. Overpriced, music is too loud, staff is non existent even when not many people are in there, no food is sold and the staff seems to take one look at the people they are serving and judge them immediately. Wont be back.

Very nice, clean and inviting. Got ur space for a five friend click or space for 10 friend clicks. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable.

Legendary service here. Sat down and some bus boy with in a cheap tuopee barks at us to take off our baseball hats. Bolted right out and went where my cap and my fat wallet is welcomed. Dont generalize your customers with some of the local riff raff.

If I could leave zero stars I would.Me and my friends came for 4 drinks each. She cut us off for no apparent reason. I’ve been going to bars for 10 years and I have never been cut off.This is ridiculous and I will never be coming back here ever again.10 years! And this lady decided to cut us off for no reason. Don’t come to this place if you’re trying to have a good time. PLEASE DONT COME.

Amazing cocktails and a chill atmosphere

Came there around 1 after playing cards at the boat and took an Uber there. The bouncer was outside smoking a cigarette. Someone is our party dumped ice out of his water cup to bring the cup inside to throw away. The bouncer said “I’ll tell you right now we aren’t letting you in, I can tell from the look in your eye that you’re already drunk”. Well we were far from drunk and they lost business. I don’t appreciate standing outside waiting for our Uber freezing. Rude “security”. Won’t go back just from that treatment.

Nice place in Elgin for a Martini or other beverage. They specialize in various matini concoctions. Was not sure how much I would like them as I am a beer and wine drinker but I am convert.

We had to wait over an hour to get our checks. Other tables were served their drinks after we put in the request. We also had to wait 30+ min to get the drinks.
