Revolution Live in downtown Florida is a fantastic venue for concerts. The atmosphere is electric and the sound quality is top-notch. I recently attended a show there and had a blast. The only downside was how packed it was - it was really hot and we were packed in like sardines. But despite the tight quarters, the energy of the crowd was infectious and added to the overall experience.Overall, Revolution Live is a great place to watch concerts. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out.
Ive recently been to Revolution again for the first time since 2011, when I saw My Chemical Romance. The 2 shows bringing me back this year were the Circle Jerks and Descendents back in March of this year and the Aquabats, which was just last night!I really enjoy this venue! The back yard shows are on a spacious green and the bar in the back has glowing, eye-catching lights and a great view of the stage. The sound quality is fantastic, too! I love general admission concerts because I get to mosh and not break the bank over a specific pit section at a larger venue that usually has a separate ticket listing.Inside shows are great, too. The venue is dark like most clubs tend to be, which highlights the stage, of course. There is an upstairs section for a balcony view of the stage if you dont want to brave the pit and just want to chill and sip on a drink. The upstairs bar is available, too, but far more traffic visits the downstairs bar. I like that the pit is sectioned off into a dip in the floor that allows audience members to still look up at the stage instead of being even with it, and also gives space between people trying to have a more chill night and those of us who show up to mosh hard.I know this wont typically make or break if I go to a venue, but I really like how spacious and decently lit the bathroom is compared to other clubs Ive gone to, where the bathrooms are tiny, dark, and dingy. The SoFlo punk scene has awesome people who look out for each other. Makes going to the shows a carefree blast! Looking forward to seeing Streetlight Manifesto in November.
Great, little, intimate venue. Always great for moshing and circle pits. Really only had one bad experience, when the power tripped (for the whole block) and it took an hour 15m to get the PA up and running.. but every show has been phenomenal. Ive been inside, been in the backyard and also the was the show set up in the front parking lot. I will always come back here 🤘
It really does take one bad experience. I love the Black Market at this venue (they get 5 stars) but whoever is running security here needs to fire at least one guy. We went through the second floor patio because last year battle of the bands voting was in that area. There was NO signage indicating we shouldnt go through. So me and my group walked in, another small group behind us. Some security guard immediately started screaming at us, accusing my boyfriend of trying to be slick, and putting his hands on him to throw him out. He just kept screaming, like an absolutely sociopath. I tried talking to the other security guard nearby but the first guy was so riled up and I was chaperoning my preteen cousin and trying to keep him safe so I wasnt able to get much of a word in. The first guy hauled us out and when I said he simply should have been polite, he just kept screaming DONT GO WHERE YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO (without...a signage? To let us know?)This was bad enough but he pointed us out to the people at the front, still screaming at the top of his lungs. The front staff started barking to get out while I was trying to say, next time, just be polite. Seriously, be kind. We genuinely just wanted to know where the voting was. But he got the front security so riled up that we just left, again, mostly to keep my underage cousin away from the screaming security. This is unnecessary, it is threatening, and its really gross behavior. Even more so at an all ages event where a MINOR was present. How lackluster is your security training that you dont understand to SPEAK to people first? How do you not understand deescalation techniques and you leave it to the frightened, paying patrons to modify the behavior of unhinged security guards?I dont particularly feel safe coming back to this venue. The alt scene in South Florida is a wonderful place, I hate to see it ruined by people like this. I hope this venue at least apologizes and addresses this behavior with the personnel. This is not how you treat another human being.
This is a great place to see a show. The security was excellent and was able to thow out people that was a problem before it escalated to something worse. They allow the crowd to express themselves and have a great time. There is enough room for multiple crowd surfers at once. It brought me back to the way shows were in the 80s and 90s. Good times!
Amazing venue. Bathrooms were clean, staff was amazing (my daughter got a little dehydrated), food & drinks were great. Weve been here several times & Ive never had a bad experience. The areas around the stage have good visibility from the pit to upstairs. I always recommend Rev to anyone who loves smaller venues like me.
I recently attended my first ever Horror Fest here to see the casualties and was blown away. Everyone from the staff to the vendors to black market was so friendly. Not only did I get invited backstage but I misplaced my prescription glasses somewhere along the way. I tried looking everywhere but with hundreds of people everywhere it was impossible. I reached out the next day to black market and they almost immediately responded back and even sent me a picture. To my surprise someone has turned them into lost and found. I picked them up today with no problem. Incredibly happy with the service and cant wait to come back for future festivals and shows to come. Highly recommend this place. They really try to keep everyone safe and entertained always!
Went to a Rob 49 concert. Only lasted 30 minutes. Too many people where in the club. Discriminated by the bartender for a drink. Bartender stole 3 dollars for a tip. Closed at 10:30pm like adults have curfew. Dont waste your money.
Love this place. Everyone is a friend here. I’ve met nothing but cool people at this venue. When you get the outdoor version of Rev Live the food is really delicious and the drinks are priced reasonably well. The inside version is GREAT with plenty of bars and great ventilation inside. The sound for shows is outstanding. The only time I had a negative experience with sound was for Sevendust as it was hard to hear LaJohn’s voice over the instruments.
NEWSTED was SPECTACULAR and this venue wad AWESOME for booking him and giving us an INCREDIBLE show! Great floor for the show, was able to get up close! The balcony was also nice and good for people that preferred that view.Theres mention of the venue being hot, but I didnt notice anything out of the norm, felt like other concert venues of the same size, and if anything airflow may have been a bit better.Id definitely go again for the right show.
Nice place to see a concert. It´s not so big, so you get to see the artist very good from every spot. If it´s not very crowded, there´s good ambience climate, and you won´t get hot. Very decent sound system, lights, and good restrooms. It has a VIP area, and a balcony on the 2nd story. The drinks at the bars are expensive, and poor quantity when you order cocktails (gin tonic $14, and it was a bunch of ice with some drops of gin and a splash of tonic). Canned beer $9.
Went to see Phoenix (the band). This was a sold out show (general admission, no seating) and the place was packed but it was a good crowd. It did get a little hot but considering the size of the crowd its expected. The sound was awesome and its a small venue so you are close to the band. Drinks are pricey but that is expected as well. If you go to see a popular band, it will get crowded so you need to get there early to stake out a place (behind the soundman is great). If you cant handle crowds then you will not like it. All in all had a great night.
I love this building. Ive been going to it since its days as a club decades ago, before it became a music performance spot.I really wish theyd stop overselling tickets, especially when major artists come, like Cafe Tacvba. It was shameful to have to watch their performance on a screen in Stache just because the main room was so over crowded and hot that people (including myself) were almost passing out.
The venue was pretty standard as a place to go to only to listen to music. The ambiance or vibe is whatever you make of it, depending on whos playing. Is not recommended for a date night as the only tables are VIP, and you will be standing the whole time. Very interesting crowd this past Saturday, lol... would definitely come again (with comfortable shoes on.)
My friends nephew played with his band, Fame on Fire 🔥, at Revoltion Live on Saturday so we went to see him there. They were AWESOME - they gave a fantastic show! Their fans knew all of their lyrics and were pumped so it was an energetic evening! We met a fan who drove down from Daytona to have her Hobby Lobby alligator back pack signed! The venue was great too - 2 floors with with 2 bars and a third in the outdoor patio to hang before & after the show. The employees were top-notched & everything flowed seamlessly! Highly recommend Revolution Live !
Never going back here again. Came with large group last night and was upstairs hanging out. There was no signage saying you couldn’t enter the area we were in. Some psycho bouncer came up to my friend and pulled him away. Was screaming at him, put his hands on him and ended up basically pushing him down the stairs. He’s all bruised up. Tried to file a police report against this guy. There’s a ton of better places to go where you and your group will feel safer and not like the security team wants to fight you for no reason. Security needs to do a better job. Instead of deescalating this guy made things 10x worse than they needed to be. Not a safe environment.
Security seems to be on a power trip, and their manager turns a blind eye to their actions. I was temporarily removed from the crowd without given an explanation while constantly being threatened to be knocked out on the floor by the staff. After complying to try and de-escalate the situation, nobody could give me a straight answer as to why I was pulled away from the crowd. The manager seemed to not want to take responsibility over his employees actions and was amazing at talking his way around all of my interjections. Despite being threatened by his staff and having my clothing ripped with no cause, he saw nothing wrong and didnt offer a solution. Not 5 minutes after the conversation with the hapless manager, I made my way back into the crowd despite being considered such a high threat.Ive never seen this kind of energy from staff before over the years Ive been going to shows. I hope this type of stuff stays exclusive to this venue. Maybe after seeing this, they can re-educate their staff and stop ruining peoples time.
I went to Revolution for Mammoth and I had a great time but what made the night was Colin the bartender. He gave me great customer service and I am a customer service supervisor myself so if I could, I would hire him for my team. Please make sure Colin knows what a great job he is doing. I look forward to coming back
Tons of great memories there. Parking was pricey but the place is as great as it was in the 90s (long live the Edge!). Idles was stupendous, I still am reliving that show since Monday, love them. Thanks for the memories!
Experience ruined by Asta security, one fat white guy with a ginger pubescent beard saw me open the patio door by the second floor looking for a voting area for the event and immediately started yelling and said I know you think youre being slick but you know what youre doing and immediately kicked me out of the event with 3 other people including 1 underage kid, even though the only thing I did wrong was open a door. This guy put his hands on me and was about to do it again until I started recording him, and walked me out with my party and started cursing at us as we left along with the black younger security at the entrance. They were even about to put their hands on my girl after she was just trying to tell them to be more professional
Amazing and great ambience for performances. Nice rustic pub style setting that brings nostalgia and anywhere you are, you get to be up close and see the performers . Also be reminded parking is available but not free, for over 6 hours is $20 which is recommended for people coming here to attend concerts or performances. 1-2 hours are $10 and up to 4-5 hours is $15. Anything above 6 hour parking is a flat rate of $25.
Havent been here in awhile but just saw Peggy and Danny here. Nice spot, congenial team members, clean restrooms, plenty of ventilation, and you dont have to go too far to find a bar. Leaving the venue is always difficult if you want to leave right after a show, but if youre like me and want to avoid traffic at all costs, you pay for extra parking time and just hang out at a local bar until the traffic clears up. Problem solved.
Don’t buy any “VIP” tickets for events here. We went to see Bad Religion and Social Distortion and the event was outdoors. We get through the gate in the so-called “VIP” section that we purchased tickets for… mind you they were double the price of standard tickets. There was this elevated stage in the section with tables for pre-booked sold out bottle service which I never even knew you had to pre book… I wouldn’t have anyway it was an additional apparently 700. So I asked the security guy where everyone goes to see the show then? He directed us to this curb behind that elevated stage. We get over there and literally can’t see the stage at all. They were worse than the GA tickets. We walked out and watched the entire show from the back of the GA crowd and had 10000% better view. Just had to warn future buyers, don’t get anything other than GA tickets.
Hot, crowded, poor view of the stage if your way in the back, stage is too low to see from the back. The singer that went on first Valenzuela or something really sucked. Couldnt her the singers, they were overpowered by the audience. The fire Marshall should be called on them, if there was a fire we all be dead. I will never set foot in this place again and I dont think they care anyway. Its a death trap.
Had tickets for IDLES in the “backyard” venueAbsolutely horrible layout.Way oversold to the point people were having to stand inside the regular venue and just…listen? Most of the spots in this “venue” didnt even have a sightline of the band. Besides that, the entire set up felt super unsafe were it to have to be evacuated.Walked right back out.
It was hot and sweaty and overpacked for spring break. Took me an hour just to get in the club and I bought tickets online prior. You guys need to organize the entry line somehow and not make it all just one line. And have security guards halfway through the line or something because a lot people were skipping the line while others waited patiently. Good drink prices at least but need better ventilation throughout the club. Just more organized please
I was at Revolution for Badfish and Kyle Smith this past Saturday, and it was extremely hot in the venue. The drinks are overpriced but that is the norm for a concert venue. I would advise you to stay off the main floor in front of the stage if you are not moshing. The crowd gets a little wild down there. The bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor and thats pretty inconvenient if youre drunk or handicapped. All in all, its a good venue to see bands because its smaller and more intimate than most.
Went to the GGD show on Friday night, and the bar and staff were great, but the GGD was falsely advertised. It was sold as a Disco show that ended up being a fan request show with barely any Disco music
Bus parking is along the curb in front of the venue. If you’re here, you’re pulling a trailer. Just line up so that bays are accessible and the trailer door can be dropped. Be cautious of intoxicated club patrons upon exit.
Great location in downtown Ft. Lauderdale sorrounded by bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Lots of parking at the IMAX garage a 5 minute walk away.Very organized. The staff was quick to help those in medical need (a few people passed out).Inside of the venue is small enough for the shows to feel very intimate, yet with the balconies and areas outside the pit, it can host a rather large show.
Went for the first stop of the Benny the Butcher tour. The venue provided a simple yet immaculate experience. Thank you to all the staff just for doing what you do best.
Boy, talk about living off of your old reputation. From what I saw last night, the place hasn’t seen a dollar’s worth of upkeep in the 30 years I’ve been going there.Filthy, $3 waters (+ tip), with no where comfortable to watch from unless you buy a bottle of Smirnoff for $300.Also, their production quality is down the toilet. The sound was badly mixed at times and they didn’t even bother to have anyone running the lights most of the show.Since ticket prices have gone from $15 to $60 in that time, you’d think they’d bother to reinvest in the stage setup, at least.A poor value, poor experience, and generally cheap and low effort. Guess we’ll just have to wait for the city to (officially) give the owners the One Stop Shop park site for next to nothing, in a crony deal that’s objectively bad for the city in the long run.Must be nice having the only 1200-person venue in Fort Lauderdale, and inside connections in the local government. You don’t even need to put a basic level of effort into your business to still make money if you know the right people, apparently.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We came for a bachelorette party per the brides request. 4 of us got there earlier than the bride and we got charged a cover ($25 per person) so we paid $100 to enter this DEAD club with literally no people in the building. When the rest of our group got there we asked if they were charged a cover and they said no. We clarified that they paid $0 to enter the same establishment that we paid $100 total to enter. Secondly, we asked for mich ultra at the bar which the bar tender said they did not have but the person beside us ordered Mich ultra and received with no problem (from the same bar tender) when asked about it, the bar tender said oh maybe we do have it?? She then got us the Mich ultra. LASTLY, we asked the bouncer upon leaving what the policy was for charging and explained that we got charged and no one else did in our group, the bouncer explained that its up to the staffs discretion and they choose who pays and who doesnt pay and what the price is which is absolutely disgusting. Such a place full of discrimination and just gross poor management. Will 10000% never go back and will not recommend to anyone.
DO NOT GO TO A SHOW HERE IF ITS IN THE BACKYARD!!!!!!!!!!!!The inside venue is fine but if they change it to the backyard, sell your tickets, and run. Unless you get there when the doors open and commit to a spot up front and dont move the whole time, you wont be able to see anything. The stage is set way too low; Im 65 and was towards the back of the crowd, and I could see the artists head once or twice a song. The front of the crowd has no access to water. Ive never seen so many people pass out at a show. Backyard needs some serious stage renovations till I will ever see a show there again, and if they switched a show from inside to out, I would rather lose my money than ever experience it again.
Interesting venue but I dont think its that great for live music. I was there for the DMX concert. The main floor was packed super tight and consequently very hot. There are two levels and lots of bars and lots of open air spaces and patios. Do thats great, however, they will take you away from a view of the main stage. The setup was interconnected with other venues like stache and parts of Americas Backyard. That makes it good to walk around and I think great for a club.I watched the concert from 2nd level behind the stage that had its own bar.
Bought tickets and the ticket specifically said the concert would be held outside at the American backyard and when we got there it was being held inside. False advertising 101. The inside was never a favorite. Even in my 30s. Its just too crowded. Youre packed in like tuna. At least outside you have fresh air. I wont be attending anything there since you wont know if it will truly be outside.
Super small venue insufficient air cooling system couldnt believe it people were sweating on top of each other not a professional place for a large crowed but the band ( the Struts ) great showmanshipwere troopers putting up with it bigger bands are definitely going to have issues with the heat sorry the name has changed over the years but the place stays the same . :(
Too hot 🔥 in there crank up acA little trashy and dirty needs to b rentivated 10Guys pushing eachother very immature security did nothing whole concert childish trashBut over ok place Metallica cover band lead guitarist sucks hardwire Metallica cover bandBut overall ok place
Awful experience, no accommodations for people with disabilities, couldnt enjoy the concert because the place was so packed, it was beyond hot, it wreaked of weed and cigarettes the entire time. I had a panic attack and almost passed out from the sheer amount of people that they managed to oversell tickets to. I will never return here for a concert.
Pit puts you about head height with the sole of the performers shoes. The Ada area was poorly set up, its got a bar table right at head height for wheel chair users so they cant see much of anything and so small that it couldnt hold all the people that need Ada seating. The staff member watching the Ada section made non wheel chair users move in favor of wheel chair users, completely invalidating invisible disabilities. However management did come fix this and the over crowding in a satisfactory way it just took several conversations. Good sound, good show.
You wont be able to view the band you pay for outdoors. Too many people allowed in so you cant move. If you get a packed show, the viewing angles are bad, and the TVs were not on to show the stage. Also, on april 21st, the sound crew was very off their game. Asking Alexandria a large know band has a lead mocrophone not working properly for almost 40 minutes! The sound staff seemed unaware or incompitentent. The lead singer has to repeaditelly tell them. Ive been to a large amount of live rock shows and was not impressed with the mixing or sound quality at this venue outdoors.
Great venue to see a show. My wife and I went to see Static-X. It seems the venue over sold the show and it was almost dangerously crowded...but all in all it was a great time. The venue was clean, the employees were fun and nice and the architecture and feel of the building itself was very cool. I will come back and would definitely recommend anyone see a show here.
I’ve been to this venue more than any other and it’s ok. The staff are very helpful but it’s always very dirty, which isn’t necessarily their fault. They have upper balcony’s and a lot of people love pouring their drinks down and it’s disgusting and gets people soaked with beer. The stage is VERY tall, i know i’m 5’1 but it’s a little ridiculous. Picture description : Pic 1: Beartooth, floor level. Pic 2 Bearings, pit. Pic 3 : State Champs, upper balcony.
Revolution Live is great venue for a small concert or gathering. It was an amazing experience seeing the band so close to the crowd. Excellent acoustic for the music and really good lightning. Good price for drinks as well. Plenty of parking right outside the venue. Definitely it deserves all the good reviews that it has. Go visit your favorite band or artist in this place.
I went to see Nahko & The Medicine People. Stellar performance. The venue itself has been around so long & they have done such great renovation over the years. They need to touch up on the sound a bit but other than that, it was AMAZING! The overall level of service could be spiced up a little bit & the prices were per decent.Thank you Revolution & Nahko & The Medicine People. I do wish that Nahko & his Team replied a bit more to their social media profiles but I guess I understand why they might not.Hope to see you in Vegas when I’m back in a week.
Great place to watch a concert. Cool vibes. The outside patio has a great energy
I came to see Dead Poet Society and Highly Suspect. Sound was good, atmosphere was lit, staff were nice, fans were nice, drinks werent a billion dollars. What more can you want from a venue?
Amazing place to catch a show by one of the many national touring acts that come through this club every year. A south florida institution, this venue has very interesting decor and layout, with great views from everywhere (especially from their VIP area). My favorite part is that most nights theres a little tent selling hamburgers and hot dogs so youre not stuck starving like most other venues.
As a music venue, its great. Drink prices are fair. The only knock on it is that parking prices are ridiculous. It basically doubles the price of going, so that keeps me from going to more shows
Not someplace Ill be dying to re visit . Show was oversold badly after it was sold out as outside concert then moved indoors. Heat , ventilation and viewing was so packed hard to believe the fire department signed off on this. Sound was muddled and ridiculously thunderous where any chance of hearing vocals was impossible . Staff were honestly pretty pissy and considering what was taking place should have been trying harder to be overly kind. Three stars is a gift .
Attended this venue for the 1D event for clubs90 and we had a great time! Parking was $15 for 4 hours and many spots available, can be paid by phone. It does tend to get very hot but they have a pit area and a spot to purchase drinks as well. I also saw a sign that they can be rented out for any event as well for birthdays, small concerts, weddings, etc. Place is very big and close to the beach as well!
Well, I think they crowded the space too much but I cant be sure as Im just a infrequent concert attendee. As a short person in that space, there was hardly any views for me to see the stage. Thats typical though. My least favorite part was just the odd layout of the pit to the bar area. People are so jammed that they are blocking the staircases, which is hazardous. Unfortunately when I was there, an altercation between guests occurred and really there is just no room or anywhere to go to breath or get space. Seems a little dangerous and careless to me.
One of the best venues to experience live music in South Florida. Simply brilliant!
Prices are too expensive, starting for $21.00 parking, $25 to get in, $14 liquor drinks...venue is nice and tribute bands are really good.
The musicians they get are amazing, and security guards are polite (more so than the bartenders) those r only pros. Cons: Everything is extremely expensive, bartenders are rude and bathrooms are disgusting. The parking is good, but also very expensive. Overhyped for sure.
I’ve been waiting to see Trevor Hall for almost four years and in the last year unfortunately I lost the chance till a couple of weeks ago I drove four hours to visit him here in Ft. Lauderdale and at Revolution Live it was perfect. Was such a smaller venue that was perfect to get up close and be able to connect with the musicians.
Brought my twin 14 year old daughters to see In The End Tribute (Linkin Park Tribute Band) on 1/3/2020. First time being at the venue, overall thought was I like the 3 levels. Im 5 tall and wanted to be on the rail but we were late so we were on the floor. Not too bad, but not too crowded either. Water was $5 a bottle and the place smelled like an old roller skating rink., which was kinda nostalgic for me! Crowd vibe was different then what Im used to, but we are going back for MIW on 1/30/2020, so Ill see what review I give then.
Love this venue. The acoustics are great, the layout offers you a view of the stage no matter where you are in the building, and the bartenders are nice. The only awful thing is they do not give you much time to use the restroom once the show ends. I was refused access to the bathroom and couldnt find anywhere quick to go in downtown fort lauderdale before beginning my hike back home (i dont live close by).
Extremely dangerous since they book events that are so big and don’t have nearly enough space. They need to be investigated. We got here 2 hours early for Stephen Sanchez. We got decent spots, but no seating, and everyone was locked in with not an inch of space. The event was advertised at 7pm and didn’t start till 9. You couldn’t even move to get water it was so packed. If any emergency happens, this is a death trap. Not to mention, employees stunk of weed and booze and were incredibly rude.
Nice place to go see live music. I did not like much the sound arrangements, I felt I couldnt understand what the vocalist was saying. Oh and they ran us from the place as soon after the concert was over, I mean they said we could not wait in the outsides of the place, but in the sidewalk outside. But good anyways, would go again if I see some concert I like.
Best venue in Lauderdale!!! Compared to Culture Room, this place has much more space for the crowds and the essential amenities - from clean restrooms, to floating beer bars and staff that is always on point and ready to help you in any way necessary. I will ALWAYS choose to come here for a show, never doubting that my experience will be the best possible!!! Plus, the sound is excellent and unrivaled by any other south Florida venue... the only thing is: if you go down into the pit in front of the stage, watch out for the stair cases and railings.... just be aware and safe! Otherwise, this place is absolutely perfect for any show, any genre, any time of year!!!
Awesome shows and atmosphere. Great place to watch a show that doesnt cost 400$ a ticket.
I am a 53 yr young GenXer, who knows great music. What a joy to see millennials enjoy the best music of all time: 70s Disco! The energy on the dance floor was amazing. I enjoyed every minute. However, please know there were many other artists, other than Abba, that contributed to this great genre: Thelma Houston, Patrick Hernandez, Chic, Evelyn Champaign King, Tavares, and the eternal Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, just to name a few. Please tell me, do this again!!!! I need this.....
Total hole in the wall but that’s what makes it one of the best venues around!
Great little venue to watch live music! Fairly priced venue.
The biggest joke ever. Poor organization..came for the Keshi concert .after the concert venue was change .people that paid $50-$100 they got shoved in the same place with people that paid $10 . The concert suppose to start at 7:00 pm at 10:00 he wasn’t playing yet . They should refund everyone tickets.constant technical difficulties. Ridiculous.
Used to love coming here but it smelled like urine in areas and was sooo hot. Hard to enjoy a show when it feels like you and others will pass out. Staff is friendly and sound did a good job. Pleaseeee fix the AC. The big fan in the back wasn’t enough.
Theres not much that my review of the revolution live is going to add or detract from the venue. It is a fine place, holds 2,000 people standing room only for concerts. I saw the interrupters and enjoy them immensely. Ive been there a half a dozen or eight times for various events and am glad that we have a venue like this in our area.
Good venue. Powerful A/C and a nice area outside to chill
To small for a growing artist to perform. Not a very kid friendly environment. Adults were stepping on children to watch the performer. To many tickets were sold. We couldnt even find a place to stand. I would love to try it again on a regular night without shows going on.
Horrible experience at this venue, went for the Stephen Sanchez concert and they definitely overbooked it. Place was so packed I could not see the stage. A woman fainted during the opening act and had to be carried out. Definitely a fire hazard and crowd surge risk. I did not feel safe at this location and left. I hope if Stephen Sanchez comes to South Florida again that it will not be at this venue.
Great venue that is actually spacious on the inside. Security was on point, bartenders were on point and the drinks are reasonably priced considering the location. I love coming here whenever theres a show I wanna see. Revolution Live is definitely a fort Lauderdale icon
Saw Reel Big Fish here. It’s nice, smaller venue. My only real complaint is that is entirely standing room only. There is absolutely no place to sit at all. The view of the stage was great from where I was though. If you’re short like me (5 feet tall) be sure to get there when the doors open so you don’t end up so far back in the crowd that you can’t see anything.
Horrible venue! If you are not 6 feet tall, it is impossible to see. We went to see Phoenix a few days ago and Cafe Tacvba last month and we had the same situation in both. Both shows were overcrowded, very hot (my friend fainted in one of the shows), and sound quality was horrible from many parts of the venue. In Phoenix, we had to see most of the show by watching the screen next to the bar since there was not a single location that we could have any view of the stage. Not returning again. I was hoping for better luck during the Phoenix show but it was even worse.
I know Im in the minority with this review as everyone seems to love this place. My review is solely based on the sheer number of people (okay and a Corona is $9 and small bottles of water $5). It was so crowded you literally couldnt move through the space or see the band (Marcus King). Im sure it was way over capacity. God forbid there was an emergency as it would be tragic. If you dont like that type of packed venue, this place is not for you. Note the show was outside and not inside. Maybe inside is different.
Essentially THE best concert venue in south florida. Capacity for crowds, yet small enough to be intimate. General Admission (standing room) goes right up to the stage and VIP is comfortably close on the periphery. This is how it should be everywhere. Yes, the ‘pit’ in front of the stage is low and crowded enough that you *will* be touching 5 people minimum. This is also as it SHOULD BE when people love music and cram together for a mutual experience. Because music lovers squeeze in as tight as possible it gets hot and suffocating in the front near the band, but it is cool and spacious in the back. Bottled water at the bar is reasonably priced and mosh pits are tolerated. Security are not d*cks unless you are.
Enjoyable concert with loads of friendly fellow General Admission concert goers. Really enjoyed the music, the view, the acoustics (with ear plugs) Great night at Revolution Live.
One of my favorite places to go to. Every time an event is thrown there its always a time to remember.
I saw War on Drugs here not knowing much about the venue. If you have back problems, don’t go to Revolution live, it’s standing room only and can gets packed like sardines. This is definitely a place for younger folks lol
Some friends and I went to go see the JVKE concert. All in all we had an amazing time! The performance was very fun. I think the venue can have a more conducive layout. There are poles and palm trees in parts that block the view. Besides that it was a great venue.
Extremely overcrowded sold out concert outside during a heat advisory during a thunderstorm! The band was excellent but it was unbearable outside. I hadn’t been here since the 00’s when it was The Edge and I’ve seen some amazing bands play here, but always inside. We stood inside thinking we had gotten a great place, until I went to use the restroom (which was staffed and very clean) and realized the opening act was playing outside. I wouldn’t come here again for an outside show in the summer.
Had so much fun seen Devil Wears Prada and other bands. Staff was fun and engaging as I begged for water after the Pit! Great time, hope to be able to stop by again in the future for another great show!!
Went here for a concert and at full capacity (which seemed past capacity) the club gets ridiculously hot. Something needs to be done to bring the AC vents closer to the patrons. The audio was great, the alcohol came in small cups that I found overpriced. The bartenders were attentive and kind.
To people fainting, people being escorted out for obnoxious behavior, to the artist even complaining about an unsafe stage, this has probably been my worst musical experience yet. The tickets were sold for 7:00 and it took the company way after 7:00 to get the fans inside to the show. The main musical artist started at 9:30. She said that stage safety checks is what held her inside for so long. She was screaming at the venue owners. My mother and I have swollen legs and we were dizzy. At least the venue workers provided us with cold water or else I probably would’ve been the second person to faint.
Great venue for small bands. Hot as can be when its crowded. Easy to order drinks and they have two floors. Its 5 stars for what it is and 4 stars when its extremely hot inside. Its worth seeing a concert.
Super sad and disappointed. Came here to see Ashnikko and couldn’t see anything. The set up of the venue is horrible. It’s cute as a bar, but you will not be able to see performers on the outdoor stage unless you are right in the front :/ never experienced this at a venue before. The sound quality was also off.
I would never attend this venue again. The cleanliness and overall condition were disappointing, calling for a significant upgrade. The event seemed disorganized, and the overcrowding made it feel uncomfortably hot. The limited visibility of the stage added to the frustration, and unfortunately, the staffs demeanor, as well as the security arrangements, were far from satisfactory. This venue needs to undergo either extensive remodeling or closure, as the current state could pose serious challenges during emergencies.
We had tickets for the Struts but it was so incredibly hot and chaotic inside the venue that we had to leave. Would not recommend - it was much cooler and less humid outside in the 83 degree summer night. As for the drinks, there’s no red wine if that’s your thing and the margaritas just taste like syrup.
The ADA section was pushed to the side with obstructive views. There wasn’t even enough room for the wheelchairs. The venue was absolutely packed and I witnessed 4 people pass out because everyone was packed in so tightly. The main performer literally complained on mic about how bad the stage was. Nails, staples, splinters, and even dips in the stage! Absolutely ridiculous. If you can’t keep up with your space or comfortably fit the massive amount of tickets you sold, then just don’t hold concerts.
Worst venue I’ve ever been to. Would not recommend. 90% of the employees were unhelpful and rude. Was here since 10am and no one else showed until 1pm. I paid at least a hundred more for other people to be let in before me. It was super unorganized. Mind you I have the best and FIRST entry ticket available. Venue workers lied and said the lower pack gets let it first. Spoiler alert they don’t (i’ve been to another show so I know how it works). Severely stressful when it doesn’t need to be. Give me a uniform and I’ll clock in and do what needs to be done. This isn’t even the first bad experience here either. There’s been several from people I’m close with. I’ve heard nothing but horrible things about this venue. I don’t know why I expected it to be any different.
Excellent venue, great staff. It was our first time there we went for The Ramones tribute band (CBGB)The manager introduced himself( very professional) and thanked us for coming to the show. We are definitely going back.
Revolution live was the worst venue I’ve ever been to. They oversold for Jesse y Joy concert las night. The artist was awesome, but we were packed like sardines. People were sweating like crazy. I was afraid some kids by me might pass out that’s how packed it was. I kept asking them are you okay. So I went and bought a bucket of waters for them and myself. Security kept moving people from the stairs but there was no place to move to. One of the security guards told us we could go home If we didn’t like it. I drove there 2 hours and paid for a ticket. One said you can watch on the TV. I said I didn’t drive that far to watch on TV. People were leaving and a lot of them said they would report the place. There were so many people on top that I was afraid it would collapse. It wouldn’t be bad if they didn’t over sell. It was insane. I’ve never experienced anything like it.sad the they treat people like this.
Literally couldn’t see the artist at all. The venue sucks. Everyone hated it. It was so packed to the point it was dangerous. Don’t go here. I wish I drove further away to go to a better venue. How has this place not gotten in trouble yet. It blows my mind.
Honestly a great experience, I do recommend ear protection if your going to attend though. 🙂
Went and saw idles, great venue, very open and spacious
I loved the overall vibe of this venue and especially blown away by the hospitality of the service staff. Thank you bartenders even the grill chef for your warm, upbeat vibe. It made my night. Drinks were small for the price charged and could be served in nicer disposable cups than the ones used. Venue needs some modernization, remodel, and sound system was painfully loud and instruments mix levels were off. Way too much bass. Still recommend you visit this cool venue.
Im sad to see whats become of this venue. It has fallen into disrepair over the years that Ive been going there. The two biggest issues, and these are huge:1) This is the hottest (temperature-wise) indoor venue Ive ever attended. It was so uncomfortable that two of the people with me almost fainted. We had to leave early just to breathe.2) The bathrooms are horrendous. They are flooded with what I can only assume is raw sewage due to the unbearable stench.Ill throw a #3 in there, but this is a gripe with all venues: $12 for a 6 floz drink. Highway robbery.
I wish I could give zero stars. Hot crowded and did not have a safe stage for the performer. Most disappointing night of my life. I should have seen Ashnikko in Orlando! Never going to Fort Lauderdale again! Could not get a good view of the stage at any point during the night
The outside stage “The Backyard” is the biggest mistake they could’ve possibly made. I grew up coming here and love the inside venue, then buying tickets to find out we’d be shoved into an outdoor crowd with little space & unable to see the performers despite not even being that far away.. so sad to have a bad experience here after all the good memories. get rid of this stage. use the actual venue. what a waste. ruined what could’ve been a fantastic show.
Second time being here. Came for 100 gecs and tonight Ashnikko. They have a great looking indoor space but wait till you get here. You are going to walk right past the stage area to an overcrowded outdoor area that u barely can see the artist or stage unless you want to shove your way through the overcrowded area. It’s Florida, hot humid and overcrowded? No thank you. Won’t be back.
Been to many shows over many years. Get there early for the best view. Also VIP was great
Ive gone to several concerts here in the last 18 months, and the staff, especially inside security, have always been so nice to me. Plus, I can actually SEE the bands play their guitars, drums etc. Being close up to the bands is what really makes this place great. Plus, its a 5 minute walk from the main bus terminal in Ft. Lauderdale. I take 1 bus to get there, a Lyft to go home. See you guys again, Aug. 18th!
Went with my wife Monday to The Struts. Place was by no means a sauna. The crowd was beat red. You could not breathe it was so hot and stagnant. I stood on the side to watch the show out of the crown and I was drenched head to toe in sweat stationary. You had to of made so much money that night and you couldn’t turn on the AC. Way to ruin what would have been a 5 star perfect night because you were cheap.
Ok. I am never one to be complaining and write reviews like such, but unfortunately last night was incredibly sad and disappointing. I love Jesse y Joy, which is obviously why I went, however, I don’t think this venue really cares about their “limited capacity” amount. There was absolutely no room to navigate and move around, people pushing and shoving each other, not able to enjoy such a show, in which so many people ended up leaving when Jesse and Joy started/finished their second song. They oversold tickets. Waited 2 hours to even get in, and the ac was either not cranking enough for the AMOUNT of people they let in, or it just flat out did not work. The second floor felt like it was going to collapse with the amount of people crowing around, and if there were to be an emergency, the majority of us would have no way o making it out safely. This place needs to be reinvented/ demolished and re designed, as it is so unsafe in may ways. And I hope Jesse y Joys management doesn’t consider such a place like so ever again.
I have frequented this venue and I do think it is charming, but its 99% standing room only. You can get a bottle table but its expensive (ranges from $50 to $250). The VIP experience varies based on the behavior or the clientele. I cant blame the venue for that really. Overall though I love that parking is easy. Its very easy to get to the venue and the experience is consistent. The sound quality is loud because its a cubical room with many speakers in it. I will continue to see acts here because the one thing that really impresses me is that top notch acts will perform here. Thats what will keep me coming back.
The show was AMAZING!!! I was extremely grateful that my daughter decided to go with us. The bartenders were all extremely nice and friendly. This wouldve been a 5 star but when we purchased tickets we didnt see anywhere that there was VIP seating available which wouldve been great since my daughter has epilepsy and tires easily. We asked several staff about upgrading once in the venue but no one seemed to know anything about how to do it.Overall it was a great experience and we had a wonderful time. The venue could make more money in my opinion if they make ticket options more available rather than by email.
Revolution Live has changed for the better. The stage is more elevated which is great for the pit area. Drinks are priced moderately. Seating area looks good. I went to see EPIK HIGH and the venue was a good fit for their show.
The place is a dump. The headliner, once on stage, called them out several times for safety issues with the stage. Cramped. Couldn’t see the stage because speakers were sitting at the front corner of the stage. It was supposed to be done inside the venue but was switched to another venue. Very disappointed and won’t return!!
Great venue. I have been here over ten times to see multiple concerts and events over the years. I love this place. Has a great concert setting and bar and still has that intimate concert feel. It has that just right feel for a good time and concert. The sound has always been great. They have a good sound system for the place! Plus they shot Rock of Ages the movie here..... you will have a great time here, its a real Rock n Roll place! Check out the concert line up they have on the website. Next time they have an act wanna see , go check the place out! You will have a great time!
Cool place for live music. Not much seating unless you go VIP. There are 3 full bars that I saw, with decently priced drinks. I was there to see a Metallica tribute band and had a great time. The sound is good and very bearable. Plenty of city parking right outside the venue. Im looking forward to the next live show here.
Great place for concert. Waitresses that handled our VIP bottle service were amazing and very nice very professional and fun. We only did the indoor experience but all in all it was a great time at a great place. The event we attended was posted to start at 10 pm but we waited outside until 11:30. Not sure if there is more than one men and womens bathroom, but the bathrooms are upstairs and navigating it was bad. The seat on one of our chairs came right off which is a hazard so I hope they read this and check all their chairs, for liability/injury purposes. Security was also very professional and not disrespectful which was a plus.
False advertising! When I bought the tickets, it said that I would be in the 5th row. When I arrived, it was standing room only and it was WAYYYY too many people in the venue. It was overcrowded and a fire hazard. The fire marshall was there when we walked out, so Im sure someone called them to complain. Never again!
Went to see Teddy Swims Tuesday night and was absolutely the worst show ever...The artist was so drowned out by the mix ....the sound guy was an idiot ...the bass guitar and the drummers mix was so loud you could barely hear Teddy sing 😠😠😠waste of money in a dumpy dirty club. #findanewsoundguy
Good venue. They brought the concert inside because of a several hour downpour. Kudos!!! They do need to work on their sound quality.
The absolute worst venue to see a band!I went last night to a Struts concert and found the A/C was inoperable. It wat well over 100 degrees. Not only that the place was so dirty. Its a wonder that the fire department hasnt shut it down.
Awesome venue. If you are in ft Lauderdale and have a chance to catch a show do it! 2 full bars and a 2nd level to watch the show. Feels like an intimate venue. I compare it to the house of blues in Orlando if youve ever been. Great location to go out afterwards also with many bars. One of my faves being fat cats. 👍🏼
Great venue to see an artist. Saw young nudyClose to the artist in the frontSound is great hereEasy to walk around still at a sold out eventParking was easy to get to within a 2 minute walk from venue. Hoping to come here again
I came for a concert. It was very packed and various individuals were fainting. The security guards did absolutely NOTHING, and gave attitude when asked for water. I was astonished. I began having a coughing attack because I suffer asthma, and they told me to go to the bar to get water (keep in mind they were probably 300 people behind me). Completely no care, such a dangerous experience.
