Found this restaurant walking by beach and I Immediately notice the great vibes and soundsfrom their DJ.The bartender/waiter we had was so cool, and he recommended some great dishes that we loved!!They are known for their huge margaritas that we definitely couldn’t finish lol.I recommend this place for nice vibes, good music and awesome food..
Food overpriced. Took forever for a server to come when seated. Music was okay, but super loud. REVIEW YOUR CHARGES. Server said margaritas was two for one, but then proceeded to attempt to charge full price for both. Margaritas are huge (which is good), but are super weak. Not worth the price. Gratuity is already added on but servers will try to add on tip if you don’t catch it. Wouldn’t recommend.
This place was okay! The bbq sandwich was pretty good and my husband liked his turkey club! The chips were good as well. I would give it more stars if it wasnt so expensive. For two sandwiches and chips +tip, it was $80. No drinks were ordered 😅 thats just a bit steep for me to say yes you should eat here.
Cool atmosphere but they try to trick you with $5 drinks - make sure you ask you waiter what drinks are for $5. Additionally, they add 18% service fee, then tax of about 7%. I wasnt paying attention and was being generous and tipped $11.00 for a $47 total - this was after a $7.50 service charge. I essentially tipped $18 for a $37 meal - this place is a scam.
If you’re considering hitting up The Rock Bar in Fort Lauderdale, think twice. Their promotions are seriously misleading. The Buy 1, Get 1 Free margarita deal might sound tempting, but don’t fall for it. The margaritas are overpriced and taste awful—overly sweet with no balance, more like sugar water than a proper drink. On top of that, the vibe isn’t great, and the staff aren’t exactly trustworthy. You’re better off saving your money and heading somewhere else for a good time and decent drinks.
Well great place to eat and great view but price gouging! Will never come back to this place. Look at the Service charge. $20.00 tip for appetizers. They make it appear like your saving money but if you look at the overall cost vs what you actually received. Not really worth the price for chicken nuggets and shrimp plus drinks is not worth $100.00. Just saying. Well never be back compared to other places that are much more reasonable with their prices
Nice location on the water, busy strip in the area. Service was lacking after initial order, hookah was $46 and $30 meals had no sides. Food was ok but not incredible. Has a huge night club area inside with dj booths and bars. Definitely one of the scenes for going out on a busy night in Fort Lauderdale.
Two drinks for the price of $55 dollars and the bar tender still expected a tip is crazy. What’s crazy is I went a second time and they charged me a different price (32$) for the same drinks. The bar tender definitely takes advantage of people. How are we supposed to dispute this without looking like the bad guys in a whole different state. Overall atmosphere was good.
Greeted and sat quickly. Cheeseburger was decent but the salmon burger was inedible. Asked for tartar sauce to try to make it taste better and it was disgusting. Ate about a 1/4 of the meal. Service was worth the 18% charges but nothing more. Will not go back for the food. Maybe their forte is music and hookah?
This is still a Fort Lauderdale favorite. I visited on my birthday 5/24 and the vibes were so live and welcoming as per usual. Fort Lauderdale Beach is far more attractive than South Beach. I am a native South Floridian and can say that . If you want to pop in somewhere quick for a late-night gigantic style drink , great food and the best party music, Rock Bar is the answer. I will keep coming back . The service was amazing.
Ive came here around February this year, I had a good time the server was nice and all. The bathroom was dirty, the food waiting time was a good 30-35 minutes. I went back last month and man oh man. The bathroom was super dirty but the lady in there was super nice, the music is loud and it’s not some good music you can vibe to. Outside was very crowded, our server was nice. The food wasn’t that good both time I came here. The chicken wings was the only thing that tasted good. The pina coladas I order was very watery I asked one of the servers can they change it for me she went and just added alcohol to it, the drink was more watery full of alcohol taste bitter the drink was just nasty, they still charged me for it it me it. The bill was a lot I was surprised because we did not order a lot of food. This is just an overhyped place for no reason, to be honest.
Ordered a margarita and it was completely watered down. I do not mind paying 50 dollars for two if they were good but not for plain water with a bit of lime. We use to get them always years ago and they were always great but not anymore. Will not return.
Good fresh food very pricey but I guess you’re probably paying for the ambiance and location. Buy on get one is not that great of a deal when the drinks are $24.00 for one. Overall it was ok but I probably would not go back. Tip was already included and our total for apps two beers and coffee was 240.00. Way too much for what we had. I could have went to meat market and had a three course meal for two for three price. Our beer spilled because of the spaces in between the table and the server said he would bring us another.. he did.. then added it to our bill!!! Really!!
We typically don’t leave reviews but the person waiting our table had to be the worst server we’ve ever had. He came back once in nearly 90 minutes, didn’t bring our food, the water cups was slightly bigger than Dixie cups, the food was bland, and when it came time to get the check, he literally avoided our table and I had to go get him at hostess desk. We had 3 20 something’s with us that was ready to have some drinks and because the server never came back, they just didn’t get any other drinks. We had food left over and we were not even offered to go boxes, not that we wanted to take anything. Just a great atmosphere that was spoiled by piss poor service. Then he hovered over our table as we were paying to see what tipWe were leaving. Only reason we left any tip was because we have kids that have served at restaurants before. We highly suggest avoiding this place
If I could give the service a -5 star review, I would. Waited 20min to be asked if I needed a drink, I asked for napkins and never got them, I asked for a tab and waited 30min to receive it. Once I did receive them I was charged with $21 for tip even though I did not receive a good service at all. The people behind our table were also waiting an hour for their table to be served. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Place was ok. Food is typical of bar food along with the beach of Ft Lauderdale. They were offering a 20% discount of all Food, but did not actually apply discount until after we discovered it, and left. Came back, and found out they also add 18% gratuity charge, which is fine,, but its not labeled as gratuity, labeled as service charge and server said he doesnt get any of that, which I find odd.In any event, I probably would not go again, just because of their customer service.
Ordered a bucket of beer, apparently michelob ultra is an import beer. Never got a warning that they think it’s an import. Margaritas are mostly ice. Music was very loud. The margaritas are made in a garbage can. The bar was dirty and sticky. All around not a good place to go.
If you want to dance on Fort Lauderdale Beach ... This would be a fun place... I was sitting by myself with a drink and a hookah ... The hookah by far, was not the best Ive had. The flavors and Shisha brands are limited to I believe Al Fakher and Adalya. Seems like only one person knew anything about Hookah... But I watched them make some big mistakes to someone elses Hookah ... Essentially making it end way quicker than it should have.
Will NOT RETURN!!!! I came to this location before a storm was threatening in the area. The hostess sat me at a high top table right away. 10 minutes passed and I thought, Okay, maybe someone will come soon. 20 minutes passed, and still no waiter/waitress & no acknowledgment. I walked back to the hostess and requested a manager. Then, of course, i look like the bad guy! What made me very bothered was the fact that others sitting in the same area received service but me and another patron. One worker told me there was confusion due to the rain. I said when I was seated, it was not raining. Therefore, that is not an adequate reason to leave me sitting there for 30+ minutes before someone ever came to my table. Do a better job with your customer service, and dont make inadequate excuses! Thank you, Billy, for your assistance! You allowed me to update my overall rating from one star to three!
I had high hopes for this place as I have always wanted to come here. The food was great and their big drinks are two for one which is great but I drinks werent all that. Also the hookah flavors arent all that good or at least the berry and strawberries and banana ones werent for us. Also they play great music BUT they also have a DJ for next door and if you are sitting to close to the other side you hear both sides of music which in my case gave me a headache.

This is my fav spot on Ft. Lauderdale beach strip! It’s is soo chill!! The music is great, always. The vibe, the staff the people- all great but NOTHING not even their huge cute drinks are as amazing as the EXPANSIVE OCEAN VIEW. OMG look at my pics!!!! WOW. Marcelo our server was so polite and excellent- always on time. Their bathrooms are clean their building is beautiful and I LOVE coming here every time. Their food is great their menu is diverse and we really enjoy coming here every time. Right on the beach strip.
I ordered a vegan burger to go. It was delicious, the staff was friendly while I waited for my food and the atmosphere looks like a great time. I will definitely come back to really check out the place.
This bouncer allows 16 year old kids in, but not women who are in their mid-twenties with their REAL and VALID IDs.After denying my 24 year old friend entry, he screamed in her face and pushed her to where she almost fell on the ground.I really dont know how this is a functioning business, since this man does not know how to treat women OF AGE with any respect or decency.Do me a favor and dont go here!

Wasn’t very impressed. The nice part was that it was right by the beach. Or if you want the jumbo margarita and don’t mind paying $40 for it, this might be the spot for you. Service was slow, there was no soap in the bathrooms, and food wasn’t the greatest. They advertised 2 for 1 margaritas but didn’t have prices in the menu. Come to find out, $38 if you want one and $41 for two - each 45 ounces. Didn’t seem like the best value.
I was roofied here by a bartender on 4/14 working outside. He was a white male in sleeveless shirt and had an accent. About 30min before I called him out on overcharging one of my friends triple the happy hour drink price and got laughed at. I guess his ego was infringed upon enough to spike one of my drinks. Total liability to society that shouldn’t be employed in any service position

This place had a very deceptive practice. They had a sign indicating 20% off entire bill. When we settled the bill the wait staff said it was a maximum of 10% off. The server Nathan was really unfriendly and had a matter of fact demeanor. All our dishes were tasteless. This place is a rip off with a bait and switch tactic.
What a beautiful venue! Right on the Fort Lauderdale beach! They have an amazing deal of 2 45oz margaritas for $35. I had the “fish of the day”. Today it was sashimi grade Grouper, I ordered it seared and blackened. It was accompanied with a fresh vinaigrette salad, rice, and potatoes. Just a beautiful experience. Great music. They have Hookah also.

It was as if they had simply grabbed a bag of frozen Tyson wings from a bulk store like Costco. To make matters worse, they werent even cooked properly, leaving them strangely raw and tasteless.They touted these wings as build your own, but it felt like a cruel joke. The sauces on the side wings were barely fried, lacking any crispiness that makes wings truly irresistible. And when it came to choosing a dipping sauce, the options were limited to a confusing and mismatched combo – a so-called Mexican wing with a Thai chili sauce. The disappointment and betrayal were palpable.As if that werent bad enough, the incompetence of the waiter added further frustration. When I inquired about the beer selection, he seemed clueless and couldnt even name what they served. Instead of trying to find out, he simply brushed us off, claiming they only had one IPA.It was an absolute joke of a dining experience at Rockbar. The tasteless wings, the sauce debacle, and the uninformed waiter left me vowing never to return. This dining disaster is a tale of woe that shall be told for generations to come – five out of five will not dare to eat there ever again.

My sisters boyfriend was roofied here on 4/14/2024 in the DAYTIME. We reported it to the police and bar that night and nothing happened.It’s very creepy and concerning, and most of all violating. I hope they take this seriously to help protect future innocent patrons.
Came to Rock Bar for lunch, drinks, and hookahs on a Thursday. Place was not that packed but hostess/staff whoever never seated us we literally just sat ourselves. 10...20mins still no waiter. Asked a waitress passing if someone was going to serve us she just said yea and kept walking. Finally the waiter appears hes very rude for no reason (we never even complained about how long it took him). We were in such good spirits that we all kind of ignored the fact of how rude he was but all 3 of my friends silently noticed it. He carded us for drinks when we saw no one else get carded the entire time we were there. Ok no biggie he tried to laugh it off and say we looked young (mind you ALL of us are 40 or older) we dont look it but we definitely dont look underage either. Asked him for a hookah he came back with the price list and said Ill let you think about if you want it or not after we had already said we did for sure. Maybe he thought the price would run us off. He messed up our drink order then tried to argue as to what we said when he clearly was wrong. Food was subpar. Calamari was bland, bang bang shrimp were just friend shrimp just ok, and chicken wings were ok. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It was too early in the day for it to be smelling and looking that way. Toilet had no seat cover and from looking at the other reviews its been that was for over a month. Thats unacceptable and gross. Looks like a gas station outside bathroom. For them to automatically add an 18% gratuity on the bill is absurd with how $hitty the service was. I like to tip based on how well they actually did. Server disappeared and never checked on us. And clearly they dont care about service because they still get a hefty tip no matter what. I recommend staff customer service training and hiring someone to clean the bathroom regularly. View is awesome and drinks are strong but expensive.
This place posted a sign saying 20 % off and when the bill came the server said its only 10% off. The server Nathan was really surly and seemed disconnected. The food was terrible and not even well prepared. Want to get ripped off? This is the place to go.
I came with a group of my girl friends and the security guard of all people was the one that made us feel the most uncomfortable and unsafe. He kept asking for my number after I said no and then proceeded to try to have conversations with us even though none of us were paying attention to him at all. Then he dips his hands in my friends cup of limes trying to take one so now we’re all pissed off but he still don’t get the hint. After that he tries to sit down in the booth with us, pushing my friend over and then touching on her thigh. Now at this point we decide to leave but we wanted to let a manager know so we asked 2 employees for a manager but they just laughed in our face. We finally found another security guard and he found a manager for us. The manager didn’t do anything as far as we know, just took the guy in the back and hid. Didn’t even apologize.VERY UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT THAT ALLOWS PREDATORY BEHAVIOR!!!!

Nice place with excellent food, the service staff are not in your face all the time which is nice for the most part. If you are the sort of person who needs immediate service all the time you may be disappointed.the only negative is they have a service charge which is beyond the tip.....and just talked to my waitress and dumped half of my review. The service charge is 15%, 5 percent of that does go to the restaurant the other 10 percent goes to the waitress. (Or waiter) From what she said the beach tourists are not great tippers and tend to shaft their waiters. Rock bar went from a 4 to a 5 in the course of writing this, so far I have nothing to complain about and will continue coming back.
So I see why I stopped coming here. I went here 2days ago and I still can’t believe the customer service, it’s even worse now. It took over 20 mins before a waiter came to greet us not only for him to take another 20 mins just to come back to take our order. The food was ok nothing to brag about but the drinks are strong and they have hookahs. This was definitely my last time and the fact that the bathrooms were disgusting they didn’t even have soap and and missing toilet seats was the last straw for me .

I usually go here but is getting expensive for 3 people we had tequila, shots patron, and they charged us $180 just for 10 shots smh plus the food was only eight pieces of chicken wings and curly fries we pay $370 what a joke 🤦 been to GG’S waterfront had better food we have never paid that much.
Our server came to take our order (table of 6). The first two girls decided to just have a water while they decided, and the server said hold on in the middle of the third order and left. He approached another server and likely gave her our table. We weren’t helped and he quite literally left in the middle of our sentence, so we let him know we are leaving and he didn’t even look up.You had a table of 6 ready to have 4 drinks each and appetizers with entrees. Your immaturity got in the way of a $400 tab.
My boyfriend got roofied here on April 14th. We were at the bar with friends and it was pretty empty. He made a comment to the bartender for overcharging our friend by triple. The bartender was annoyed and scoffed, then kept hovering and walking back and forth by our cabana. Next thing we knew my 240 lb boyfriend was incapacitated. Falling 4 times that day from 4 pm all the way until 11pm. He was not drunk before this. I took him back the room when I realized how out of it he was. He puked multiple times, finally fell asleep then woke up around 5 hours later. He still couldn’t stand, was still puking and was on a 10 second memory loop. We tried to call the cops to no avail. It’s almost a week later and he’s still have symptoms from this egregious bar and bartender. Don’t go here unless you want to be overcharged and roofied and then not be taken seriously by the police or management.

This is a cool spot in Fort Lauderdale right across the street from Fort Lauderdale beach. The seating is outdoors, either at a bar or on the designated dining section. The inside is large and thats where you can dance the night awayThe DJ plays a nice variety of music that many can enjoy. They also offer hookahs of at least 10 different flavors that cost approximately $30. There is also a 45oz red or white Sangria that can be purchased for approximately $16. The food isnt bad either and the rates are reasonable. FYI though the restaurant/bar charges 15 percent to your bill for a convenience fee (which the waiter said is because they are located on the beach).
READ BEFORE EATING - I’ll start with the service. Service was non existent, as soon as the order was taken that was the last time we saw the waitress. Not once did the server come back and check up on us or ask how everything is or if we need more water, she was more concerned with her phone and talking with bar staff. The food was not worth the price at all and they charge a 15-20% service fee regardless of how you feel about the service or food. They did remove the inedible food from our bill but I recommend finding another spot to eat with better reviews.
The service here is horrendous. The music sucks and the food is blah! They only played one genra of music(techno) they did not cater to the diverse audience of customers. The servers were not friendly, we had to search for out waitress a few times to ask for addl things we needed. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. DEFINITELY overrated!!!
I paid $65 to get in for a cover and spent over $100 on drinks. My friend accidentally stepped over the vip line and a random producer started screaming at her. All I said was “she didn’t mean to step over the line” and I got picked up and carried and carried out. The bouncers just let him do that to me. I didn’t even do anything wrong. Do not waste your time at this place. It’s not worth the price at all.
I went with a large group for a sit down dinner. The menu was large with a lot of options, but nothing stood out as exemplary; the food was fine. You could tell this place is less of a sit-down dining establishment as they did not have a great ambiance for eating. It was very loud and the tables are set up was with couches to sit, so you had to bend over to eat. However, this place seemed like a great spot to get a drink or have a casual hang out, just not the perfect place for a nice dinner. The beach front location is awesome and definitely convenient. I know this place is a bar/club not known for its dinner and I can see why. I recommend going for drinks/apps to be close to the beach!
My experience was good and the vibe was nice and the DJ was pump. Security measures was intack I felt safe. However, organization is need at the front. If there is going to be a line the hostess need to indicate which line is for seating outside and which line for person going inside. Plus the server can introduce them self and tell us their name it makes things a little better, oh and the calamari was bad (you need to add flavor or something more to those calamari).My chicken finger and fries was good and the drinks was really good.
My daughter’s boyfriend was roofied here last month. He became incapacitated and was sick for a week. There was one younger white male European bartender who was hovering around their cabana and rude to him and 30 minutes later, he was falling down and was out for hours. Do not give this place business. They don’t take these claims seriously and didn’t do anything when my daughter and her boyfriend went back to talk to a manager and make a report.

The bartender told me the water at this place is not drinkable. Um I see a call to the heath department about this. Many young people get roofied here, so called managers, owners, staff, & bouncers don’t care! This place needs shut down. If the water is undrinkable, I’m sure the food is uneatable & disgusting.
Not gonna lie. Rock Bar is a pretty cool club. I enjoy the decorations in the place with the neon lighting above. The music can be hit or miss sometimes for me, depending if I know the songs or the beat/music is good. Overall, I keep coming back, so I cant complain. Cool place, be ready to shell out for drinks (it is a club after all), and bring your best dance moves! Most people just vibe and forget about whether it looks cool or not.Keep it up, Rock Bar, always an experience coming out to work up a sweat on the dance floor! 😁
Just went at this place, we were a lil bit disappointed about the food and the service. We thought it was smart to close our bill. BUT i’m giving you a advice here : don’t close your bill before you have eaten. We gave her a good tips and we didn’t have a service at all, our food was cold and reheat.. she never came back to ask how was the food? we waited like 20 min to have our stuff .. tried to have a eyes contact with her several times but it never happened. We needed to ask someone to be able to speak with her!! Anyways, we finally be able to speak with her, but she didn’t try to offer us something else to compensate the situation.After 1 hour, we get our bill in our hands and realize there’s already a tip included on the bill. The waitress never told us about this.DEFINITELY A SCAM. don’t go there

I got tackled by a man on the dance floor and got kicked out… literally pulled me out from under him and let him go on and had 4 bouncers escort me to the door out… I’m 5’4 110 ponds…. This place is not female friendly and if you get violated it’s your fault. Left the bar to talk to the local police about it and they basically said it’s my word against the bar! I give this bar zero stars!!! Women are considered garbage here and I seen them offering 20 dollars to underage collage girls to get inn with fake IDs

Cool bar with a chill environment. Went with a party of 4 and were seated fairly quickly despite it being a Saturday evening. Drinks were pretty good and the margaritas for the price of 2 for $27, were worth the price.My biggest complaint was the service. We had to wait a while before our orders were taken. We had to ask our server multiple times for things before receiving them (I.e. waters, more drinks) and had to ask a different server for our check because we didnt know where our server was and had been waiting a while. Imagine our surprise when we got our tab with a 36% SERVICE CHARGE. For a total of 6 drinks for 4 people. Completely ridiculous. Do not recommend.

False advertisement. The advertised 20% off your total bill. It was not granted unless you tell the server for something thats advertised with a huge sign. The manager lacked customer service as I was explaining to him I didnt get my 20% off he asked me if I told the server. Huh wth! He walked away. You shouldnt have to lie to attract business then not honor the advertisement. Management you suck!

Over the years, this place has changed a lot. However, at this point the drinks are more expensive and watered down; its more noticeable each time my friends or I visit there. Customers expect better quality at higher price points. The hookah price is also more now and fewer flavor selections. The service is hit or miss. The food is ok. Its still a nice spot on the beach, but not my favorite anymore. Its now a very mediocre and typical South FL beach bar that charges more for less.
This place has amazing vibes and really cool interiors. They play cool techno during the day, but the music at night is not that great. Also, the drinks are ridiculously expensive and they charge you double price for a drink at the bar on the dance floor. So, I got a screwdriver at that bar for $25, but the bar on the left side is less greedy… only $15 for the same drink
Trendy & cool hookah bar right across the street from the Lauderdale beach. Food was served quickly, and was very good for a quick bite. Had 3 tacos with shredded chicken with cilantro, spicy sauce, beans. My daughter had a platter with onion ring, fries, thick chicken strip and, nice size breaded shrimp🍤 Also had a huge veggie burger & fries. A bit pricey for beach food. Gigantic margaritas for $25 for 2. We ordered one each and it was hard to finish so next time Id order one to share. The ceviche was huge as well.I think if you order margaritas then better without any snacks. I could barely walk, was too full from the huge portions.The staff very friendly and the service quick.They also have live music band.Very nice place
Highway robbery!!!!!!!!Paid $78.08 for 2 drinks (double). If I could give them 0 stars I would have. After seeing the bill (before we touched our drink) we asked the bartender to just cancel the order because that is wayyyyy too much for two drinks. She informed us that she had already made them so she had to charge us. FYI 1 shot of Tito’s is $19+ So getting 2 doubles brought the bill up to $78…. if I wanted to spent this kind of money I would have gone somewhere more high class and not this cheap excuse of a jungle bar. They lost 2 frequent customers tonight. Never again!!!!!!!
Absolutely love this spot, been here many times over many years. This place is awesome. I dont even care how much it cost it is well worth every penny. Thank you for such great service. Ambience, vibe and everything across the street over viewing the ocean amazing. Our servers were wonderful thank you. Hookah was good lasted hours on 2/3 coals which was beautiful. Our fish bowls are amazing had watermelon, and mango and my friend knocked half of our fish bowl over so our waiter made us a very brand new one. We had a side order of corn, fries, quesadillas, and a whole red snapper so delicious ! Thank you guys. Definitely will be back for sure. I was loving life.
Drinks were ok. It was a slow night when were were there. We had the sampler appetizer. Shrimps were very good. Onion rings too. Chicken was ok. The 2 for 1 margaritas were kinda week. I had the strawberry wife had the sour apple. Mine was good. In the sweet side. She said hers was very sour. All in all good. 3.5 stars only because it was kinda dead but we left around 9pm thats why.
Food was great! But it took our waiter an hour to even get our order to us. They had other employees just standing around while we were waiting for our food and check. It was pretty early and hardly anybody was there yet to eat. It was my last day of vacation so it definitely was aggravating that I had to wait so long. We were there for over 2 hours and it took us maybe 15 minutes to eat.
Great location and fun ambiance. Open til 4am. Stopped in to grab some grub after drinking down the street. Ordered an orange crush that came equipped with a bug on the meat of the orange slice. Bartender quickly rectified the situation and delivered a replacement without fruit this time. I ordered chicken fingers with curly fries as I was given a choice of fry cut. Food took a while and when it was delivered was already cold but I was starving so no complaints here! Served with honey mustard and ketchup. Asked bartender to hold my bagged leftovers while I checked out inside. Big pick up spot if that’s what u are into! Even the bouncers were flirty and asking for my number which I just wanted to dance a few songs… didn’t stay long because of that! Closest spot to my hotel that serves food after 11 otherwise I wouldn’t have gone…
So, the place sells large daiquiri and margarita drinks in souvenir cups to take home They also sell regular drinks like this “old fashioned “the drink was so so. Arthur got the fish bowl size drink and it was equally mediocre. Th flood, was wonderful though. We both ate sushi raw. We liked it very much. We were not sick two hours after so yes I recommend the place but they hookah here. I don’t like hookah.
The server tried to over charge my friend. When my friend realized this and confronted the server about this, his next drink was roofied. The only other person that touched his drink was the server. Don’t go here if you don’t want to get roofied by the staff.
The view is gorgeous! The food is okay. The service was okay. My drink was great, but my friend didnt like hers. They refused to make her a new one, or allow her to change drinks. The drinks are not cheap so you should be allowed to switch if you dont like it. The brownie wasnt very good and was quite dry.
All around great experience. Ricky made that possible from the second we sat down. Very accommodating. Drinks were amazing. House shots were buy one get one and they had a bunch of options to choose from. The 40oz margaritas were crazy good and strong which is always a nice surprise. Got to get them chilled always. Music and vibes were amazing too and the waitress was great. Only reason I took a star off was the 4 different hookah choices were a bit more complex than it needed to be. For some reason they didn’t allow you to do refills when the menu states refills are an extra cost. Other than that this spot was great and if you in the area definitely give it a try!!
I do not recommend it restaurant,the staff is rude, even the “manager”. They delivered my food to me and it had two cockroaches inside the food and when I saw this I called the waiter who offered me to pay for the same dish with the cockroaches at half price 59% discount 😂😂😂 🤡 I couldnt believe it and I asked him to speak to the manager and he is an extremely guy rude and practically told me that this is normal and can happen 🤭🤦♀️ please go to the one next door called Frogs and the staff is super friendly and attentive because of the owner who is a super nice person and the food is excellent

Great patio, nice atmosphere for a night time dining location. I like that you can order hookahs in addition to drinks if you want to sit out and socialize beyond eating. Food wasnt bad, service was pretty good. Prices are a little higher than I feel the food quality warranted, but right on par with dining options in the area. Youre paying for location/atmosphere in addition to food. Cool spot with decent music (the night we were there).
Was chilling in the pool and was mistaken for another gentlemen that jumped in the pool and was forced to leave. The guards were extremely rude about the whole situation and extremely physical as if I almost felt like I was being assaulted.
The prices have gone up but the food is good and love the music.
To start, I can’t judge too harshly because my group came on a Sunday night. The music was good, the drinks were HUGE but the service lacked. We sat at the bar for a little while before anyone even acknowledged us. It just seemed like the bartender didn’t want to be there :/ Overall, I will try again on a better night with hopefully more people partying!
Our first visit to rock bar with my family. We arrived around 2 pm. The staff welcome our group with warm smile and delightful attitude. They were very attentive to our questions regarding the food menu and made recommendation . . We enjoyed our meals and the kids had a great time . We all agreed that every dish served was delicious prepared and nicely portion . My daughter was visiting from New York City and the rest of our group travel from Fort Meyer for the weekend to Fort Lauderdale food menu was a big hit and we all looking forward to our next trip to enjoy it .
If I can take my star back I would. I have NEVER had to give you a credit card or pay in advance for food and I frequent here often. I’m a native Floridian and I felt disrespected because we walked in (young black lesbian couple) being profiled telling me either I give a credit card or pay for food in advance. When I asked when did this start the waiter said listen it’s either you do it or leave and walked away to talk to two others and they watched us as we walked out.
WORST service ever, had to go over the hostess to ask for a waitress after we were sitting for 30 minutes. took 20 min for the hookah to arrive because apparently she forgot to order it. When finally arrived was in bad condition, we had to fix it after asking her repeatedly to please change it because it wasn’t working and she got mad bout it, saying that we don’t know how to use a hookah.Never coming here again.The waitress really had a bad attitude from the beginning.
The Atmosphere was amazing , the service was horrible especially considering that there is an automatic 15% tip included. The food was OK nothing I would thrive upon or ever go back for. The one time experience was enough for me. Won’t be recommending.

They have a buy 1 get 1 free margarita in a glass bigger than my face! There’s also really amazing murals and art on the walls. Great place to drink, people watch, and you’re right next to beach. But the food is gross. The tacos were nasty this like watery liquid was in the tacos it grossed me out lol I would come here to drink and then go eat somewhere else!
The chicken tacos had the driest microwaved chicken I have ever seen. Waitress was slow to take orders, never checked on us, and we had to hunt her down for our check. The only reason I gave 2 stars for the food is because the burgers and onion rings were good.
Excellent food....I dont care for burgers but my BF ordered some type of bacon burger but I ate half cause it was so flavorful I hope they keep the chef on Friday nights. Whenever friends and family visit SoFlo I always take them here and 9/10 they enjoy the vibes! Whats not to like? Except the music at times can be cringe. Lol. Other than that, the weather, drinks, food and people are always a hit! I dont mind giving them a credit card in advance as I have seen people dine and dash, and its awful! The BOGO margaritas get the job done ✔️. Just an overall chill vibe here.
We asked for the check which included fees & charges, after 5 minutes asking the waiter what was that charge for, she finally said “gratuity” and when we accepted the price, the machine automatically showed again the screen with the percentages for the tips.Very shady…. This is not appreciated it.I wonder why we where the only ones at the restaurant….. be careful.
Nice chill atmosphere.. The music gets better after 9pm. They hookah. Food, drinks, and the option to vibe outside. The hookah coal lasted a very long time and you get 1 more coal. I ordered nachos and it was large and full of meat. The sofas to sit on outside are nice and soft. Nice spot to hang out with friends or go on a date. .

I have been coming here for almost 8 years! Absolutely love it except this weekend I sat at the bar for a drink was ignored by both bartenders (I am also a bartender so I understand being busy) but dancing around next to me & ignoring me was just disrespectful! Then I finally get a menu which she sets in front of me & immediately walked away which I had to wait another 5mins (only because I stopped her) to actually order a drink. I don’t know if the guy behind the bar was just a bar back but he did a better job!! Then I get the check something told me to actually pay attention because I usually don’t too much sure enough they charged me for an extra drink she apologized & fixed it but then added a higher service charge than the previous bill! Had I noticed I wouldn’t have left the already way over 20% tip on top of it! They certainly didn’t deserve it! It makes me sad because like I said this I’ve always loved Rock Bar I recommend it a lot of people.
I thought they were joking when on Monday, and they said its 100 dollars cover to get in.. which turned to 85 dollars later and then 75 in the evening. We went to Cafe Ibiza next door which was free to get in and probably just as fun
I tried their Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was good. Lots of friendly and beautiful waitresses and hosts. The only issue with this place is safety. One guy got carried out on a stretcher by paramedics and fire fighters. The next day I walked past this business and saw a police car in front and police officers talking to some customers in an argument.

Ive been here a few times and its some of the best people watching right on the beach youll find in Fort Lauderdale. Drink and food prices are typical for the location and the DJ, club vibe is spot on. If youre bar hopping or clubbing this is definitely a go to place.
Restaurant is not even busy but forgets to order my chicken sandwich. It’s been more than 43 minutes and the food is not here. To make things worst we had to keep getting up and out of the table to get refills and water because of the poor service. The waitress is nowhere to be seen. Update! Look at the picture.
Our bartender Barbara was very friendly and made us feel like locals in town. We visited on the last day of a bachelor party, but next time will be visiting on the first day of a trip.

I was excited to come here I loved the initial vibe with the comfortable seating right on the sidewalk and the cool uniforms the staff wore... then you get a closer look, my husband and I weren’t sure if we were going to sit at the bar or sit on the sidewalk seating so we could enjoy the beach view instead, we ordered a couple beers at the bar and then decided to order some food and sit on the sidewalk seating, we were told to sit anywhere... the waiter asked what I would like to drink I told him my husband was at the bar getting us a couple beers he frowned at me and said we aren’t allowed to order a drink from the bar first.. he gave us menus and silverwear and walked toward the bar.. my husband came and sat down, I decided I wanted to get one of the extra large margaritas and start with some appetizers... we waited for about 10 minutes then I had to use the ladies room and got a glimpse of the kitchen.. not clean at all I went back to our seats and told my husband I just wanted a drink we waited for over 20 minutes and he NEVER came back even after i did a friendly wave and smile at him.. we finally got sick of waiting finished our beers and went elsewhere! The seating was cool from afar but once you got close the cushions are filthy there is food under the seats the tables were greasy feeling.. just dirty and horrible service! I will not be returning!

This place really has gone down hill… I didn’t enjoy my food and neither did my bff… Our waitress kept missing… We had to ask other servers where she was at.. She took our orders and never placed the order for the food… So we waited 1:15min for chicken tacos and Shrimp tacos.. When i received my food it taste and felt like it was sitting a while… It wasn’t hot at all.. The chicken had so much juice in it till it kept wasting all on the plate and table.. Then my bff food was the same temperature.. The shrimp was over cooked.. I’m very shocked at Rock bar.. My go to place with friends

Great jumbo margaritas and BOGO special. Tacos were good and each filled well. Just know there is a 15% charge added to the bill. I didn’t see that on the menu (eyes went to the food and margaritas) and server never said anything as he presented the bill on the iPad set to the tip page where you select the tip. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
This really can be such a fun place. The wall art is beautiful, and there is plenty of space to dance, and play games. We come here sometimes, when in Broward. The drinks decent, and the food pretty good. We did have a negative experience before. I ordered the salmon and realized it was smaller than one I had prior. I spoke with the manager, and he explained that they dont portion (ie. 4oz, 6oz, etc.) the fish. So basically, you get what you get. Which is annoying for $30 a plate. We had a little back and forth, he was unhelpful to say the least.

Went with my gf and while I know its a tourist trap, the food was abysmal. Had the mahi mahi sandwich and I could only force myself to eat half of it. My gf had the shrimp kebab with yellow rice and veggies and she also could only eat 3 of the shrimp and a bite of the rest. The waitress was nice enough to get the food taken off the bill after seeing how little we ate. I was very surprised about that but thankful for it. Im currently digesting what I had of the sandwich from my white throne. Apologies for the mental picture, but this places food is the pits! If you want good food dont go here. From the other reviews Ive seen, Im reassured in my pov.

Food and drinks were good. I got one of the huge margaritas. Its like 45 ounces so about 5 regular glasses worth. And the calamari was pretty decent. The club area wasnt too crowded for a Saturday night. Its not the hypest place but the DJ was good. Also, its right across from the beach. Id go back again.
Atmosphere was great with live music and sidewalk and beach front view! I will say that the initial sitting down was a little bit of a deterrent as the cushions and tables were not as clean as I would feel comfortable but I am a little bit of a clean freak. The music was fun and a great place to go and hang out on any occasion. Definitely very casual. The food was phenomenal. I personally have the seafood fajitas and they were probably some of the best I have ever had! They are served with a filet of fish laying on top of the sauteed shrimp and fajita vegetables! The flavor was very rich and sharp! If you love American Mexican food you will not be disappointed with the flavor! Nachos were also ridiculously good! Not sure how but they made them so good we could not stop snacking on them!!! A great blend of cheese and black beans in some light sauce! Also tried the calamari and it was great! Family left smiling and with happy tummies! Mixed drinks were yummy too!
We have waited at our table more than 20 minutes. No server showed up. We asked 2 servers to order. All of them said we are not their table, they will call our server. We waited another 10 more minutes and went to bar to order. Bartender said they can not serve us because we are not her table. Who is our server? We almost asked everyone working in the place to get service. All of them were doing their own thing, watching football, talking with other customers etc. Sorry for the owner of this place.
Music is great but do not be fooled - do not come here. Service is terrible it took forever for someone to even notice we were sitting here. Misleading signs for alcoholic drinks when they FLAGGED us down to come in when we were walking by. Figured why not- but now I see why not. Don’t be a dumb tourist like us and go somewhere else. Also the menu doesn’t say but one drink is almost $50.

Rockbar use to be one of my go to stops when I go to Fort Lauderdale. I haven’t been there a little over a year and boy has it changed. The food has gone down hill in quality. I ordered the same item I ordered a year ago and it was disgusting. The drinks are the same…I guess you can’t beat that. The waitress was nice. All in all I see a major decline in quality and customer service. I won’t be going back.
I was at rock bar today and I watched the lady make a drink and it had black stuff coming out of the drink faucet. Turned me off I left.
The rock bar was very niceI just want to point out some small issues1. The bar has a policy when paying with cash you have to pay up front. I understand this is because of the high crime in the area.2. The out door tables are coffee tables. They look cool but are back breaking to eat over.3. Automatic 16% gratuity. I dont like this. If the wait staff knows the will get 16%, why try hard to serve. In our case the server was amazing at first but after we paid we had to go find our server.
If I could give zero stars I would.... they told me no frozen drinks available. Then I see a table with frozen drinks. I ask whats up with that. They waiter says oh they are special guests of the bar so they get frozen. I ask to speak to a manager and they tell me he is too busy and will just tell me the same thing. 20 min later I see more frozen drinks delivered to a different table.

And ordered the jumbo drinks (but one get one). Then I ask if appetizers were half, waiters said “yes all of it are”. So I ordered.Bill came. Waiter says “look it over and make sure it’s right.” I have a habit of NEVER reading bills but I screwed up few times and I thought let me look at it to make sure.None of the appetizers were half off. I asked the waiter, he said “oh you can’t combine the appetizer with the drink, you have to read the fine print.” I said “but I asked you if they’re half off after ordering the drinks and you said yes.” He said “it’s on the fine print.” So I said whatever, and said okay, no problem!!I went to the restroom and then told the bartender about it. Exactly what happen. Bartender said “that’s wrong for the waiter to do, you should talk to the manager.” He pointed to a talk heavy set guy and said it’s the manager.I told the manager, “I understand the place makes money regardless but why would the waiter say one thing, and then another?” I gave the rundown, exactly as is. His response “well now I’m telling you that you can’t combine..”. I said but the waiter didn’t telll me that when I asked. He said “well now you know because I’m telling you.”I cannot make this up. I asked “that’s your answer as a manager?” He said “that’s right !” And I said “alright” and walked away,I paid the bill. It wasn’t about the bill at all….. it’s just so weird and I read comments about the ID situation and about rude workers there.It’s crazy when some people know they’re making money regardless, and not give two crap about people, to be so disrespectful and disgusting. The service was the worst Ive ever experienced. Taylor was the reason people of color dont want to come to Fort lauderdale, Florida. The manager was trash. He wouldnt even come address our concerns because we were of color. It was a roach on the table. I wouldnt even send my worst enemies there. IF YOURE OF ANY COLOR, DO NOT GO THERE!!! I love Florida but this was the worst experience EVER!!! I wish I could give it no stars. If we couldnt pay for our food, sir, my card wouldnt have been charged twice, even though she explained that it wouldnt. Rockbar was amazing. It is a huge one stop shop with a great atmosphere. We ate here at the bar, then went out to the patio for shisha, which was huge. No one bothered us to leave that area even after our drink was done. And then we went to the club area which was large, a bit empty. There was no cover and the music was great. I dont blame the club for being a tad empty, the weather was a bit off season.
Charged $21 for a gross drink. Waiter was upset when I wanted to leave after 1 drink. Bathrooms gross, whole place smelled horrible. AVOID

Rock bar is awesome as usual. I havent visit in 4 years so I was happy being there couple days ago. Food is awesome as usual. The atmosphere and staff amazing. What I find that I hate was those nasty cushion chairs thats on the outside. Its so nasty to sit and lean back on em. Cmon you guys make enough money to clean em. Theyre disgusting having ppl sitting and leaning back on those cushions. Please thats my only complaint. The next time I visit I hope u guys get that fix.
