Thermae Retreat Ft. Lauderdale

Ive been going to Thermae for several months now. I love the peace and tranquility of the space, and the individual infrared saunas. I have been doing energetic healing with Lisa Dooley for months and it has been a beautiful journey. Lisa is such a sweet and caring professional, with truly amazing gifts. I felt safe and connected with her since our first session and would 100% recommend her work to anyone looking for deep healing.

Was easy to book the appointment and the sauna before is a nice touch. I had been in 100° weather for 3 days prior so opted out of the sauna.. the message I booked was heated thai balls and Swedish massage. I complained about left should and right hip. The shoulder was taken care of but not the hipIn actuality there was very little massage on the legs and none on the feet. However hot stone was used that I didnt ask for or want and there wasnt much of a massage. Then at the end rather than asking went and hit a gong , did the bowl and chimes. I had come off a day of work where there is constant sound and the last thing I wanted was high vibration of soundat a noise level so high it was unbearable. ruined the whole calm that I was trying to obtain in a massage that wasnt. I do recommend going for the sauna, cold bath and other amenities, maybe just not the massage. It truly is a beautiful spa.

I called ti inquire about cold plunging and Jordan at the front desk answered and was very helpful. Even though I came in 30min to close the staff allowed me to enjoy the plunge. I have been here numerous times and referred some friends as well. They all loved it. If you’re seeking a peaceful and stress free environment go here

I am giving this 3 stars for a few different reasons. This place was clean & the staff was very friendly and they showed me around & how everything operates. They even have an ice machine outside to throw ice on yourself for before & after the sauna. They also have a scrub by the shower & different types of water & a meditation & massage room. I did the day pass for $45. I probably spent about 45 minutes there but that’s because there’s really nothing to do there. It says day spa but I wouldn’t really call it a day spa. Other than going in a sauna I don’t really know what else there is to do here. Also, the saunas are really really small and only fit up to one person. I’m 6’3 and couldn’t even lay down in the sauna and everytime I’d move around I’d make so much noise in the saunas because it’s so small. It’s a well run place and if you’re just trying to go get a quick sweat, yea it’s a solid place but not much more to it. I probably won’t be coming back here again. I was expecting a bit more and to spend more time there but quite frankly I got bored pretty quickly and the options of what to do or where to go are pretty limited. It was either an tiny infrared sauna or a hot stone sauna. As you can see in the pictures I tried to lay down and was not really possible.

I went for a solo retreat day and it was everything I wanted and more. I had a craniosacral experience with Lisa, she’s amazing. The saunas were awesome. I tried a coke plunge for the first time. The water color painting was a cute touch. I can’t wait to go back!!

One of the best couples massages i got! Staff were super kind and welcoming and not to mention how peaceful the environment is and clean, took my boyfriend there for his birthday and we spent the whole day there used all their facilities while staying hydrated and drank tea, it really feels homey there, we will definiatly be coming again, thanks Thermae for a beautiful day!

This is our second time going in For the couples massage, the therapists Lisa Hoffman and Jose are absolutely amazing! It took a while for us to find the right place that gives each of us exactly what we need. This time it was great being able to spend time in the saunas and the garden. Fantastic setup.

Thermae Retreat in Ft. Lauderdale is absolutely amazing! Spent a day here with my sister for her bday. Michaels soul and body sound healing and massage was phenomenal. Left me feeling balanced and in bliss. Dee was exceptionally hospitable and her massage was incredible. My sister left feeling refreshed and soothed. Facilitys sauna, massage parlors, showers and meditation rooms are all clean and well organized. This retreat has such a powerful and positive vibe. A must visit when in Ft. Lauderdale.

My mother and I stopped by on a rainy day before our flight back home. The service was top notch with excellent facilities. The Finnish sauna to start the session was a fantastic way to get ready for the massage. Lisa was my masseuse and she was wonderful. After the massage, I went to the outdoor sauna and used the cold plunge. Shower facilities are available and, after a 3 hour session, we were clean and relaxed on our way to the airport. I couldnt recommend this place any more. Just perfect.

This woman refused to give me the full value of my gift certificates. I think its a scam they run. Be careful this is not the same spot you see a lot of good reviews for. Something sketchy about the place.They took $30 each from my gift certificate. Totaling $60.At first, I loved this spot. All in all, I bought 5 gift certicates to give out as gifts. Everyone loved it except the last person I gave a certificate to.So I was gifted 2 thermae resort gift certificate since everyone knew I loved this place So i went and invited my friend.Now i know why my friend didnt enjoy her exeperience as I was about to witness the decline of this place.It was not the same.They took out a lot of things they initially had like rebounder and things to get curculation going. It gives hostel vibes and not healing vibes.They didnt even give us a tour or explain anything like they used to do. Professionalism out the door.The vibe was more Spring breakish. Large group of kids doing who knows what, all I heard was moans and groans.What happened to this place?So when it was time to pay I hand them my (2) gift certificates but apparently the system was changed. So she had to get out of that system and reboot the old system. I waited what seemed like 30 minutes for her to figure it out.She says to me $30 have been used from the gift certificates.I asked both? She said yes.I said Nothing here cost $30 .They have no services for $30. So what could i possibly have bought and spent on two seperate occasions without an appointment or with any record of this tranasction. She was just saying the balance. Again talking to a wall.This woman was so cold , i dont think any healing can occur in this place if this is who sets the tone.She said maybe a book.So i say , so you think i left my house , i didnt think to check Amazon or any bookstore. But decided to drive all the way to a Spa to get a book. Not a massage or facial.To put things in perspective they have a very small book collection no one comes here to buy a book.So why would i use $30 of the balance of the gift certificates on both gift certificates and not just use $60 off one gift certificate.She admitted that they no longer use that system and took no accountability that this could have been a mistake.I asked her to show me an appointment when it shows I used the gift certificate and she couldnt.She had no proof that it was used. But still was adamant that I paid.She didnt even try to figure out whats wrong. Just wanted her $60.My friend didnt want to cause a scene.So i paid anyways.This was a terrible experience and the lady was like a wall. Even though she didnt know why or had receipts or an appointment listed she was going to charge me. No sense talking to her. She just wants more money. That was already paid.I left and didnt post to social media or review my experience. I just never wanted to go back and i will never buy a gift certificate or recommend.But that wasnt enoughWe travel across the world and have been talking about this place.The problem is we have a large fanbase and I promoted this place and even though i stopped. People remember what I said and have been visiting or buying gift cards for family.Now I have been getting issues because people have been reporting back to me about their terrible experience and I think its the same lady.My reviews and reccomemdations are taking seriously so before anyone blames me I no longer reccomend this place.I have also had a bad experience and have seen the demise of this place.If you are looking for healing treatments dont come here.I should have wrote this sooner just as a warning to those that I reccomended it too.My suggestionsHave purposeIt seems the original purpose of this place is lost.Find your center and purpose again.The original concept was amazing but now its but a mere shadow of its former self.

Thermae spa was great! Lafayette, the massage therapist was amazing! I loved how the spa was set up and the Bailey and the other manager were so nice. There are several saunas, a garden and plunge pool. I left feeling great. I deal with chronic pain and I felt better leaving than I have in a long time. Lafayette has a great technique and It was one of the better massages I have ever had.

Booked a couples SWEDISH massage for 90 mins only to have gotten the worst deep tissue massage ever. Clearly told both therapists before the massage that we wanted a light pressure, relaxing massages. We both got deep tissue, stretching massages. During the massage I’m literally tapping my hands on the table in pain and for some reason this prompted my therapist to go deeper. Me and my girlfriend is suffering in pain right now a day later and for what I paid I’ll probably never come here again. Saunas and showers were the best part I guess.

Everybody needs to experience a day at Thermae Retreat. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Between the relaxing atmosphere, good vibes, saunas, and variety of services offered, you can’t go wrong. Huge shoutout to Maureen (one of the best masseuses I have ever had), Beverly (amazing facial), and Lisa with her smile and welcoming attitude. If you are my friend, you will be getting a gift card to this incredible hideaway in Fort Lauderdale. Thank you Thermae!

It was so easy setting up a sauna experience by text… and as a first time guest was so pleasantly surprised by the serenity and thoughtfulness of the business! A first room for moving the lymphatic system, the beautiful steam sauna, and the amazing infrared sauna with color therapy (blue was incredible for inducing a meditative state) which I had never tried before. And lastly the gorgeous meditation room to relax in once your done. I am so impressed by the thought that went into this experience

Edit 3/2023We arrived early, as suggested, to enjoy the sauna and meditation areas, and were warmly welcomed. Our tour was informative, and they really have put so much thought into what their guests need. We started with the Finnish sauna and a cool shower outside. My boyfriend had an ice water splash and felt great. Then we had a relaxing shower before he enjoyed the vibration chair and I colored in a very comfortable chair with footstool. Soon, we were called for our couples massage. My BF was paired with Lisa for a deep tissue massage, and he had an incredible experience. He said she beat him up pretty good lol and that it was what he needed. I was paired with Maurine for a Swedish massage, and she was absolutely amazing. She checked on how I felt a few times, but she seemed to instinctively know what I needed. They both also used enchanting scents throughout and wonderful products for the massages. We both left feeling so relaxed and calm, and we already have plans to return!Relaxing atmosphere with soothing music and aromas. We enjoyed our massages too. But we walked around a little confused about where to go or what the next step was.

Thermae is the best! Infrared Sauna, ice bucket shower, cold plunge tub, and a salt shower. I visited FTL for 6 days, and visited Thermae 5 days (out of 6)! Great staff and very tranquil.

After a long week of work I had the most glorious massage by Lisa Hoffman. I have to do more of this! I feel so much better. Restored! Actually, improved! Id say even human. Lisa is so knowledgeable and capable! Her massages can be those get the job done deep tissue variety or even the feel good gentle massage . I prefer the serious deep tissue massage that is healing to my body. There are many massage therapists in Fort Lauderdale but few who understand the human body and techniques that Lisa Hoffman does. I met a friend afterwards who commented how radiant I looked after my massage. I highly recommend Lisa Hoffman! I have to make these massages a regular part of my week!

I booked massage over the phone for and set an appointment.14:30 pm for 90 minutes deep tissue massage . When arrived , I filled the form and the therapist escorted me to the roomI explained that I’m in pain and the zones that need more attention….For strange reasons the therapist was upset : probably that I’m looking for 90 minutes deep tissue body massage…..and she mentioned that she have been waiting for me 45 minutes ….and that I’m not right for her:))))I’m sorry to waste my time!

I went in for a micro dermobrasion a week ago, and my skin is still glowing ✨️ I have not experienced any redness, dryness, or irritating from the treatment. My moisturizer seeps into my skin, and I go all day without out feeling oily. Perfect for oily skin, in my opinion. Go! Relax! Drink some tea or take a plunge in the ice tub. Rejuvenate!!!

The best retreat spa ever! I walked out feeling energized, refreshed, and relaxed. They offer relaxing teas, unique saunas, wonderful massages, and a relaxing outdoor space to just ahhh. I recommend 100%.

WOW! Pure bliss! From the moment we walked in to 4 hours later when we walked out...What a true RETREAT!I surprised my sister with a 90 Ball treatment here, and I got the Neroli Caco facial. She loved her massage, and I loved my facial!The initial tour, kind greetings throughout our time there, and every interaction was just so perfect and lovely.We will DEFINITELY be back soon!!!

So I had a facial with Leah and it was probably the most amazing relaxing hour of my life. She’s so knowledgeable about skincare and I got an amazing mini tarot reading during the process ! My skin has literally never looked or felt better! Leah made the whole experience incredible and I will definitely be going back to her for all future facials!

This was one of the most AMAZING experiences. I purchased this as a birthday gift to myself, and it was worth every penny. The ambiance was great and the service even better. From the moment I placed the call to make the appointment I knew I would be in good hands - Susana took her time to explain all I should expect and what to be prepared for. I booked a massage focusing on the chakras of the body, and this was HEAVEN on earth. After the Meditation room, experiencing the different saunas was a great way to continue to detox my body. The front desk attendant Susana was TERRIFIC she was very attentive and made sure I was able to enjoy all the spa had to offer. After being there over 7 hours, I finally realized I had to get back to the real world. I would definitely come here again.

Thermae is 1000% retreat. So much care and attention to detail have been made to appeal to the relaxation of every sense. I had an amazing facial with Leah last week. She informed me of every step in her process, walked me through choices and applied her years of skin knowledge and experience to an amazing facial. I would definitely recommend the spa and Leah!

Beautiful place with calming atmosphere and highly professional people. I visited this place with my husband for our 13 years anniversary and we spent amazing time together taking advantage of saunas and couple massages in a private room for two. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax after a busy week or spent time in a private atmosphere with your beloved.

A secret Oasis in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Its coed though. They provide salt scrub! Loved it. Got gifted a week of sauna admittance. Will check out the other saunas inside. I only had time to do the outside sauna which they provide ice for foot soak or bucket down!

My wife and I just got married yesterday and are taking our Honeymoon next month. I was trying to find a day spa but they seem to be hard to come by. I called Thermae Retreat and let them know the occasion. They were so excited to setup the whole afternoon for us and ensured that we had a fantastic time. The team here are so personable, wrote us a personal letter and a gift. The whole place is so relaxing and beautiful. It was an absolutely amazing evening to start with my new Wife. I really can’t thank you guys enough.

Thermae Retreat is a very special, sacred retreat for the mind, body, heart and Soul. I experienced a very powerful three day healing journey that healed very deep, multidimensional wounds Ive been working on for years. I wasnt expecting this, as I booked spa services, but ended up getting so much more as a beautiful GIFT from this very unique and healing day spa. Their team is so caring, attentive, genuine, heart-centered, conscientious, spiritually awake and connected to the Divine. It was so refreshing and rejuvenating to spend these three beautiful days together in such loving peace and harmony. Also, Beverly did my facial. It was my first time getting one. My skin is glowing, and the entire process was completly relaxing. I’ll be returning, and I recommend this company’s services.

Ive had a massage with Michael (Miko) & Dee at Thermae Fort Lauderdale...two of the best massages Ive ever experienced, especially when combined with using the whole retreat with saunas, meditation space, and garden.Dees massage was so perfect for my physical healing. I literally felt my posture more aligned after having a deep tissue with her. I felt the alignment continue to happen even as I left the retreat and was driving home. She really cared about why I came in for a massage and it was very comfortable, thorough, relaxing, restoring, and healing. Thank you for reminding me to breathe :)Michaels Soul Harmony session was just what I needed at the time because not only was it a massage, but it was a combination of healing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.. He incorporated chakra balancing & energy work and guided me through a meditation. During the session, he also did sound healing which was amazing!

Do not use this Spa, their rescheduling policy is a scam. I payed in full and needed to reschedule a few hours after making an appointment; then they wanted to charge me an additional 20% of what I payed bc they considered it a cancellation. When I asked for a refund they only gave me back 60% of what I paid. Terrible customer service.

Beautiful place, the sauna is wonderful and the acupuncture treatment with Anisha was absolutely divine. The most blissful and relaxing acupuncture treatment I’ve ever had, with a marma head massage and aromatherapy included. Brought me from a state of wound up monkey mind to blissed out serenity. I was floating on Cloud 9 for hours afterwards.

When I tell you that I had the best facial of my life with Leah, I am not exaggerating. I have eczema and an oftentimes worried about having a facial at all because it can and has caused extreme dry skin and discomfort for me. Leah created a customized facial that exceeded all expectations. I was relaxed, she explained every single thing she was putting on my face and how it benefits my skin. I loved it, loved it, loved it and left feeling dewey and glowy and less red because of the infrared treatment. The best part was my skin was SO CALM and stayed that way. I will be back, 100%!

I always come here to renew and heal using there facilities. Especially the infrared sauna. But tonight I Also had a therapeutic massage with Micheal Bluemoon. I must say that was probably the best massage I’ve ever had in my life, he completely fixed me. My shoulder was in bad shape and the mobility is back and the pain is gone. He also used to sound healing and frequencies to put me back in peace mode. This place has been in my heart and part of my self care regimen for years, but they have upped their game and they are in an amazing place! My wife and I (today) experienced the Thermae Realm, as we might call it. Im struggling for the right words to convey how powerful it was for us both. I had a 90 minute massage and my wife had a facial.Immediately we were both captivated by the essential oils, cleanliness and overall aura of the space. Zuzana is wonderful with her greeting and education, (via tour), of all this oasis has to offer.My wife cant stop expressing how much she enjoyed Beverly and the facial she received. It was above and beyond anything I could have anticipated she said.As this was my FIRST EVER massage, I wasnt 100% sure what to expect.Miko is wonderful. The room is wonderful. The sounds are wonderful.This was beyond the physical. I didnt sleep but I most certainly slipped into another state of mind AND body almost at the onset.A massage from Miko taps into the metaphysical.All I can say is that we are so profoundly impressed, pleased and grateful for our experience and for the expertise, professionalism and warmth of the staff.

What an amazing spot in the middle of the chaos of Fort Lauderdale no less! Staff are friendly and welcoming and give you a great tour of the spa. There are so many amenities and awesome extras to enjoy like infrared saunas for one, that you just want to be there forever! I had the great pleasure of being treated by Miko (who I was referred to by a friend who also had an amazing experience with him) and what an incredible therapist he is! As a massage therapist myself, I can honestly say that he is really doing sacred energy work. I did the Soul Harmony Massage and I can only describe my experience as transcendent! It was like nothing I have experienced before and you cant compare this particular treatment with any traditional massage work. The sound/Gongs are extraordinary and had a profound affect on me. Miko also did epic massage work on my whole body. I guarantee you, that if you go in for this treatment and leave all expectations behind and just be willing to receive the amazing energy that Miko has to offer you in this service, you will leave Thermae a whole new person! I am very grateful to Miko for putting so much healing intention into my session - I will be back again and again!

Yesterday was my second visit to Thermae spa... at the end of my Sauna only visit (i just needed to sweat and meditate) I was introduced to smudging by Aimee. Recently I have just been going through a lot.. year after year— I’ve been so ready to let go and move forward into a more positive cycle of life.Now that I had this beautiful smudging experience with Aimee, I feel as if a lot of my worries have disappered. I didn’t really know about smudging. Only did it for the house. Aimee smudged me and I feel so good. I don’t know how to explain or what you may have read about it— but if you’re skeptical about people performing spiritual work to help heal you/ stop and go to Thermae. The people working inside this retreat are so beautiful inside and out. I hope they touch the lives of many more.. as a south Florida native, I never thought I’d come home to recollect myself and meet such good people at the same time. Fate led me to Thermae and I hope my review leads you to getting exactly what you need through your spiritual journey. There are still really good people in the world and some happen to be helping others in this sweet retreat called Thermae!

A true gem. I absolutley love this place, so serine, relaxing and peaceful. I enjoyed a wonderful massage from Debbie. I usually have a hard time relaxing during massages, by the time my massage was over I felt completely relaxed and finally had a great night sleep. The infrared sauna helped open up my pores, and release toxins. After the sauna, I took a cold shower with epsom salt that is provided for the clients. Then I waited in a relaxation room for my massage. The Spa is wonderful. Everything from beginning to end was PERFECT.

Let me just say that José my massage therapist was truly amazing.! However, the spa is very different from the pics. Its stuffy and dark. The garden is not very relaxing either.

My husband and I decided to take a daycation, come down to Fort Lauderdale had a great lunch at the Royal Pig and wanted to get a massage, we found this place in Google, I am so glad we picked this one. From the moment I call the journey began with zuzana at the front desk make you feel home immediately. Im a MT myself so it is hard for me to find someone who meets my expertations. Miko was my massage therapy he is amazing, great energy, and Sharon work with my husband, who he was really pleased. Overall, if you are looking for a day a of pure relaxation this is the place you want to be in Fort Lauderdale. Thank you Miko, Sharon and zuzana for giving us an unforgettable experience.

My mom came in with a bad back, Jose gave one of the best massages and my mom’s back felt a lot better the next day. Great relaxing escape within the city.

I was recommended to see the massage therapists here by multiple friends. The staff are all very kind and caring, and the environment is so calming. One the best massages I have ever had. Very satisfied.

The appointments I made for a friend and myself - that I booked with the owner - were completely wrong. On the day of our visit we were treated with hostility like I have never experienced by the girl at the front desk who also navigated us through the spa the entire day. The facility was lovely, but the customer service is the ugliest and most immature Ive ever experienced (and that is putting it gently). This bad review would not exist if someone would just claim responsibility for making errors. A simple were so sorry that happened would suffice. Instead the mistakes were attributed to mercury retrograde and a few unfortunate coincidences. If youre affluent, dont mind a few of your dollars being swindled, and have all day to poke around, then Thermae will be enjoyable for you. If youre like me, rest assured knowing plenty of other businesses can operate professionally no matter how the stars are aligned.

Fantastic place to visit for a personal day of self treatment and with amazing experienced staff personnel. Zuzana one of the specialist definitely left an impression on me with her attention to detail and care. Definitely going back here and would recommend it to anyone. With it’s reasonable prices this is a must have experience. Thanks again for the time spent here.

For his birthday my husband had the best massage he normally doesn’t like going to Spa but this place and the masseuse were amazing and my husband was extremely happy and felt great after his deep tissue massage and while waiting on him I had an amazing facial😊We will definitely come again!

This was an amazing “experience”. I felt so renewed and relaxed after my visit. The service was superb and the facilities were clean. If I lived in the area I would definitely get a membership.

This place is a little oasis hidden in the middle of a stressful south florida. Its a great way to clear your mind, body and soul and take a break from the crazy traffic! The ladies that run this place are awesome. Shell is a sweetheart with the acheduling, and will make you feel right at home.

Sent my mom there for her birthday we were covering her tab including tip after tipping them i later found out the chase my mom out the door demanding that she tip them because they spent three hours on her. Just poor customer experience

Clean, relaxing place to detox and relax; little lounge in the back yard to cool of from infrared or regular sauna. Staff is super friendly.
