Really nice dance floor! Line dancing was fun, they did a lot of the popular ones, plus country swing and 2 step. Everyone was extremely friendly and open to dancing with anyone. The outside can be misleading. I thought this was a small dive bar but it was anything but that. Had a blast and will definitely be coming back! One of my favorite places to dance in the country!

Dont care for their knew Karaoke system. I was there over 3 hours was able to sing once. While people who came in after me sang multiple times. Even though I put multiple songs in the system once I got there. Need to be better organized

We had a great time country dancing here back in September for 3 nights!! Nice dance floor, good variety of music, decent drinks. Only disappointment was Thursday night was latin night.... so we had to find somewhere else to go! Coming back next week and bringing a group of dancing friends :)

Loved going to this place every Saturday while I was visiting for a few weeks! The concert for Easton Corbin was really nice too! Excellent staff and good dance floor. If you’re not into country music though, they have a more hip hop section or a section that’s more of a sports bar. So this place can meet your needs!

The perfect place to get multiple vibes for one trip. The line dancing is fun and the bar tenders are amazing.

Highly recommend stopping here for a night out! My friends and I spent the weekend in this area and wanted to do some karaoke one night; we ended up at The Block and it did not disappoint!!! Amazing atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and great music in all 3 of the bars! There is something for everyone all under one roof. They even had live music out on the patio. Love this place! Next time we visit we will definitely be back!

Haley is the epitome of a great bartender, she held great conversation and served amazing drinks. She is absolutely an amazing mixologist. The company was represented great and I will surely be back.

If I could rate this place a 1 I would. Went there the other night for a comedy show with the family. There were 7 of us. My brother inlaw who is in hospice care was in a wheelchair and I went in to ask some questions about accessibility and such. The lady up front was polite but the man on the other end of the walkie talkie was completely rude. We needed somewhere to plug in his machine and just wanted to ask questions ans see the venue, but he would not let us in. Your lucky all 7 of us dont do a review. Its no wonder you have such a low review score.

The worst bar I have ever been to. The owner was one of the rudest people I have met in my life. He yelled at us for upwards of 20 minutes because he had underage people in his bar, but we were all 22 years old. He took our ids ans would not give them back, even though our uber was waiting for us. Even the cops told him our ids were real. He kicked us off the property for doing absolutely nothing, even though we were already leaving. This place is a joke. 0/10 will NEVER return.

More worth your money and MUCH better service!***Unfortunately, The Block is an establishment with egregious service to say the least, especially with the two heavy set women at the front desk. The two ladies working at counter have dreadful service and called security immediately because I asked a question concerning their identification process. I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but apparently this establishment does not. They asked me to remove my hoodie to ID me, after leaving and entering within 5-10 minutes—which I had on because it was pouring outside. I then removed my hoodie and looked directly at the camera to show that I had nothing to hide.I then turned and asked why I needed to do so a second time, given that I had already done so less than 10 mins ago AND the ladies recognized me once again. Granted my question was direct, yet the employees immediately became hostile and implied that I was starting a problem for asking a question. I asked if there was a racial component, given that I know the crime statistics in the area, and she immediately got fed up and called security to remove me. I assume she was hostile because I’m Black and asked her a question that made her uncomfortable.Luckily there was an officer near the desk who I was speaking to at the time. However, while I was conversing with the officer, The Block security arrived and told me to stop talking to the police officer and get off the premises immediately, after the officer made multiple attempts to calm him down. The officer wrote down his badge number and explained to me the situation with grace and professionalism. I was told to leave the premises unless I wanted to spend the night in jail for trespassing.It’s truly a shame that a Fort Walton staple has become so hostile to its core residents. Craziest part is, the drinks aren’t horribly priced, but the service is just atrocious.Frankly, being told I risked the possibility of going to jail for asking a question is absurd and speaks to the type of folks working, and possibly running, this establishment. It’s never that serious—especially given that I was not violent nor threatened a soul at that establishment—but I guess their employees would rather threaten customers with imprisonment rather than bring them forth to spend money and grow the business.I truly understand that they deal with intoxicated and uncompromising individuals all night, however I don’t think that’s an excuse to have poor customer service to anyone that asks a simple question, especially folks who are new in town or when you have substantial rule changes—like The Block has had in the past couple of months.Won’t be visiting again until I’m off their apparent hit list, but—at the end of the day—you’re better off going to Seville in Pensacola or Coyote Ugly in Destin. They’re better run, more professional, and way less rude.

PLEASE READ!22nd birthday with my friends decided to go to the Block. When I left I was confronted with what I believe is the owner. He then came up to me and told me that I was the reason that there was fake ID’s in the bar and that he wanted me to show the cops my ID. I then proceeded to show the cops my ID because it was my birthday and was having a great night with friends. He then started questioning me and talking down to me after I gave my ID. Telling me to step off him property after giving him my ID. One of the worst bar owners I’ve ever met and I hope that nobody is treated like that ever on a night out. The server was also extremely rude and was pissed to serve me.

When asking locals for a club that plays hip hop or r&b music this seems to be the spot ! But In all actuality they only play pop/techno versions or hip hop songs ! It’s clear as day who they are trying to appeal 2, this club says it has 3 sectors but the only one that is catered to is the country side which is basically half the club … it’s sad to say that in 2023 black people still aren’t welcomed or have to be muted to fit into a white society would not recommend! I love this place!!! Momma (Diana) has been there for years and is just amazing with the karaoke shows she does! She works very hard to keep up with the newest songs and her equipment. The new girl Tina is sweet as can be and makes the experience just so much fun. A big group of us were highly intoxicated and I’m sure very demanding, but she was patient and got our songs in order. There was a huge list but we know patience is required for singing with such an awesome sound system! Jessica the bartender was helpful in picking out great drinks and also very timely when the bar was packed! She is so nice and I wish I would have met her sooner as a bartender!! The country bar has amazing line dancing and the outside deck is just great to go hang out and listen to a live band or if you smoke, to just relax!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you The Block, Diana, Tina, and Jessica for making our time so enjoyable!!!! 😁

Do you have to play the same songs every time you are open in the same order? It really gets old and the choice of music could be a lot better.

The Block was Awesome. We did karaoke. and watched the line dancing. Everyone was very friendly, the only suggestion I would have is you need to sell tshirts/ hoodies for the place, I think this is the first bar/ nightclub that doesnt sell then. This place was extremely fun will definitely be back when we come back, we are from Alabama

They kick you our half the time before you park. Always changing the rules. I been going every wensday fir 8 years and the bartenders are great but the new management is aggressive,rude, and just disrespectful. 199% not what it used to be

I am 19 had to pay 20$ plus the atm fee so 24 dollars to get in and i’m the dd for my sister and her friends and they don’t have water on tap for anyone which is ridiculous and i asked for a redbull and she said no then i asked for a coke and she said i’m only aloud to have water. and because i questioned her she threatened to kick me out the staff is so rude it ruined my night so spending that 24 dollars to not be able to drink ANYTHING and HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER

Me and a group of 18 year old girls got kicked out for standing up to a old man who enjoyed young women. The woman at the front desk was wonderful. Just know that if you are a girl heading the block leave your house with mace and a taser.

This is my go to spot. Its 45mins away from me but worth the drive. You will def find cool vibes. Comedy night on Saturday is a must. And the food is a food truck and yea its good as well

Went to go in side to show id and because I refused to show my id to a female, that appeared to be drunk standing outside without a staff shirt on, the bouncer wouldnt allow me in. I have never been asked to show my id out side the building. Bouncer even said that he would have thought it suspicious. The person I was with called the 12 other people that was meeting us and we went else where. Needs better help, and staff need to wear staff clothing so as not to appear as just some drunk standing outside smoking.

Good drinks, but if you want to sing karaoke don’t count on it LOL. The employees there sing more often than the paying customers. You MIGHT get to sing one song at best even on a slow night. Employees or their friends sing back to back to back. Read a review on here afterwards (wish we would have seen it before hand so we didn’t waste our time), but if you don’t tip the Karaoke employees they skip you over... sadly we planned on tipping at the end of the night. If you just want a decent bar experience it’s fine, but don’t count on karaoke.

This place is a small little venue but definitely full of a great time the music is always great. The mechanical bull makes for awesome memories with friends. The block also hosts menu different events that are truly memorable from midget wrestling to concerts. I got to see my favorite artist perform there Danielle Bradbery put on an awesome small show that is still one of my all time favorite concerts I have been to!

Worst bar I’ve ever been to. Bald guy at the door is the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Bar tenders were absurdly rude. Employees were so rude I left. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Worst bar I’ve ever been to.

A lot of these reviews are just complaining so heres and honest review. I did karaoke growing up, hip hop dancing in college, and 2 step now. The place is divided into 5 real areas: Karaoke, Country (2 Step), Rap, Pool, and Outdoor. Theres somewhere to go if you dont like the other areas. Ive always had a good time going Wednesdays, which is quarter beer night until 9. They also teach a line dance around 8 on Wednesday. The music in all the areas is generally fresh. They also host a bit of events like comedians and have had concerts from Scott Dylan and Miranda Lambert. 4 Stars would be 5 if they let you pick the girls up when you were dancing (I get it, its a liability issue), and if they restricted the smoking a little to the rap and pool areas. Ive frequented there and had to leave twice because the smoke was drying out my eyes so bad. I would definitely recommend in stopping through if youre a tourist looking for a good time!

Cool bar. Haven’t seen a place with 3 different genre bars in it since Maui in Philly (puke). Hiphop bar, country bar and karaoke bar all in one. I liked it here. The door girls Kellie and Cassie have a touch of insanity in them (you can see it in the eyes) but everyone was cool. Shaun the bartender is the best magician I have seen in a while. well decorated and lots of space. would definitely come back.

Better have money for karaoke because it aint happening without it. Put in a song at 11:00 pm never came on between 11 and 3. Terrible karaoke service. Music is unbearably loud even in the dancing portion. Would not recommend at all. Drinks overpriced, 5 for a beer and 6 for mixed drinks weaker than my grandmas coffee.

No cover charge before midnight, which is great. The music was decent, and there is a pretty good selection of liquor for pretty typical prices, but it stops there. The bar is a smoking establishment, and it is absolutely disgusting as a result. It is extremely difficult to breathe comfortably inside, and I honestly cant believe that these days there are still bars that have indoor smoking. Also, there is no tap water available, even for our friend acting as a DD. They charge for all water, which I think is a little irresponsible.

This is the best place to be in Fort Walton Beach. The comedy show was... spectacular. Amanda is an amazing security guard. She kept me safe on multiple occasions throughout the evening. The bartenders are great. Mark the owner is awesome. And Kevin the hip hop DJ is the best hip hop DJ in all of Fort Walton Beach. Great time!

If I could leave a zero star I would. Pre purchased comedy show tickets over a month ago. Get to the door and they’ve over sold seats. Manager/owner couldn’t have given two craps. Will never bring our business here again.

*Tracy Lawrence* was to be singing...Very upset that the concert that we spent $100 to get in (4 people) and several drinks later that we left @9:30pm. Per their website the show was to start between 8:30-9:00pm. False advertising. I do understand things can delay a show but just let the paying customers know what the delay is instead of playing the radio. (We could gave went anywhere for free to listen to the radio). We drove an hour and a half to get there, arrived at 6pm, ordered drinks, stood on the dance floor until 9:20pm, got tired of waiting so we left. We walked out at 9:30pm and stiil at this point no Artist took the stage to sing. Wont be recommending this to anyone. Very disappointed and will never go here again. Should have been sold out but they let as many people in as possible. Packed like sardines.......

The girl in the front named Ali was very rude to our group. She thought one of our ID’s was fake and as we told them to run it because it is in fact real they rolled their eyes. They took the card in the back since the police was not available at the time. Then threw the ID and we asked for an apology. This is when the girl in the front Ali said “No why would I” very rude bouncers. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to get harassed about being legal drinking age. Power hungry workers.

We went last night and of course everyone was in their Halloween costumes… my friend was dressed as Adam and therefore was wearing basketball shorts and with leaves all over them and no shirt. They let him in because it’s considered “Halloween attire” but once inside the staff continuously tried to get him kicked out for being out of dress code. At one point our small group was hanging out in a corner dancing together and the staff member came up to us out of nowhere and handed Adam and Eve a broom a dustpan telling them to clean up the leaves that had fallen off their costumes? It was extremely petty and uncalled for and we left because of it.

UPDATE: NEW SMOKING POLICY :)I went for one last time with co-workers who were leaving, to find that smoking was no longer allowed inside. I was so thankful to find that this awesome bar updated their policies even though the law has not!!!While I do not know if my original review was a part of the reason The Block finally changed their smoking policy, it was extremely amazing to see and meant I could stay for more than a few minutes before having to leave. After discovering that I am allergic to smoke I do hope that other places in Florida will also follow suit with The Block.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Great bar... except for the cancer! (PSA: Hazardous to persons with breathing problems!!!)This place is amazing, and such a cool idea; I love that you can hop between each club with ease for karaoke and pool/sports, to the line dancing and mechanical bull, or to the hip-hop/pop area.I just wish they would open a door or window to the outside so that all of the smoke from these smokers does not sit in the room. After an hour or so my voice would get hoarse from the smoke, more than talking in a loud bar.Just know if youre from an area where smoking inside is illegal, you probably are not going to like this place. Sucky service, literally told us to leave even though had an hour plus til close. Bartenders prob had a 4th grade education at best.

Drinks are on point with surrounding local bars. The drink prices have never gone up in the 7 years I have been going here. Karaoke block has by far the best sound system for karaoke in surrounding counties. Owner is consistent each year with bringing in named artists for country block to perform. Hip hop latest lighting, sound and TVs for your entertainment. Each block has its own different genre of music and age ranges. Smoking is still permitted in the club which could stray some people from entering but overall a great place for locals and visitors to unwind. Hope to see you...

Good luck receiving a mic that works for Karaoke unless you’re a regular. Once you realize their mic doesn’t work, simple fix, adjust your system.

If I could rate this bar a zero star review I would. We went to Florida for vacation. The bar takes your debit card and drivers license to purchase a drink. I forgot to close my tab and left my debit card and Id at the bar. They are closed until Wednesday and we fly back today. I need my drivers license to fly. I have sent a message to the bar on Facebook, a message on thier website, called them alot, went bye the bar twice someone was inside but would just walk bye as we knocked and wouldnt come to the door. Our Uber driver told us her last rider was going through the same situation and she cant fly back home to Arkansas. Would not recommend anyone to go back to this establishment terriable customer service.

The place itself is nice . But the lady at the front door was super rude as soon as we walked in. I almost turned around and walked back out because I was offended. Then asked if they took debit and she was a smart ass about it and got a attitude cause I didnt know wbere the atm was.. Ive never been to the place . I work in customer service the people at the front door are the face of your store and if thats the attitude you want representing your store so be it . The bartender that served my friend was nice. But no one was dancing in the hip hop room, it was actually kinda dead for a Saturday night. Overall I was upset that I had such a bad experince I wanted to like the place but after the front desk lady and her attitude it just wasnt happening because it was unprovocted. For sure not worth the 20 dollar cover .

This place is a joke. Was eyewitness to some bouncer throwing out two young homosexual men this last week. Apparently the manager was too much of a coward to go talk to these two young men himself. They literally hugged a handful of times and kissed maybe twice. Give me a damn break. I saw women dropping low with no underwear on and other women were flashing their breasts all over the place and they kick out the two gentlemen who were there to have a good time without contributing to the pornography that was all over this place. No one had any issues with them and then the bouncer walks over and says I love gay people. Hell my brother is gay. My manager, however, would like for you two to leave. Are you serious? Last time I checked the Gulf Coast towns, such as Fort Walton Beach, catered to tourists of all races, gender, sexual orientation, and so on and so forth. For a dance club/bar damn near on the beach to discriminate against someone as they did the other night is down right intolerable. So much to catering to all people equally.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Bouncers arr power hungry. Looking for anyone and everyone. Even if the customer is in the right that being said it is 100% illegal to withhold sombody personal ID for a tab. A bank card is ALL they arent legally allowed to withhold until collected by there owner.

This was definitely a chill place. They had a mixture of music throughout the spaces. They had Karaoke then Countey and the Hip Hop music. We enjoyed the ambiance but since it was spring break week there were alot of young kids. Other than that it was surprisingly chill. Would definitely return again.

If you like country, hip hop, or karaoke youll be in the right place. They have all 3 in different rooms, all with dance floors. The country bar has a wood floor, great for two step. Theres a mechanical bull and every holiday theres an event!

Im confused. A bar that has three different sections of music still cant keep a lively act. Water is only sold by the bottle for 2$ in FL, Im seriously laughing at this. Which just explains how terrible the market is for this club. If youre looking for a place to get a quick drink during happy hour Id recommend rotten apple.

I went for a few Wednesday nights to do country dancing and they play some odd music to dance to in the country side. (i.e not country music) they do have quarter beer though so 4 stars in my book lol Also it is always fun when they place actual country songs

Overall it was ok at best. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a black female though. Subtle racist tones, didn’t feel comfortable. But if you’re a white male, it’s a great time? 😅Also, was told twice to watch my drinks at this establishment. Have fun! 😂😅😅😅😅😅😅

Very comfortable relaxing atmosphere 3 clubs into one. I really enjoyed the line dance, pool tables and drinks. Got there by 9:30pm with no cover charge to enter. Really no worries.

They have a deck outside but you cant hear the music out there.... You walk in and pay then there is a karaoke room walk through it get to a country room with a big dancing floor and little places to sit keep going and there is a hip hop room the dance floor is small and in the corner... Music was outdated and wack.. Bartender didnt know how to dress a beer she instead handed me salt and lime to do it myself charging 7$ for 2 beers. Hardly anywhere to dance... It was packed more then the country and yet there was no where to dance there was 2 pool tables in there but they were more in the way this is more like 3 bars in one not clubs. Sucks but whatever not to many places to go here. I will say they didnt have cheap toilet paper lol but they could put some locks on the bathroom doors as they are just magnets holding them closed. I like going out to hear music and dancing thy need to swap the country and they hip hop rooms.

Went to see the micro wrestling and it was so packed that we couldnt see anything and ppl kept pushing through and then stop and stand infront of you. Couldnt hardly get to bar to order anything.

Bar service is horrible! I use to bartend myself and I never serve a shot of tequila without salt and lime. I had to ask twice for some. I also asked for a sprite back and got coke. I received barely a shot for the double shot I asked for... The music was ok but I would not say this place is anything to recommend. One of the worst country clubs Iv been to actually. So far nothing tops the ones from back home in Texas 😕..

Their toilet paper is high quality and they sell aquafina instead of Dasani and for that alone I give 5 stars

I was the designated driver for a couple of my friends (it was their birthday). When I closed my tab they told me that I had to spend atleast $10 to close the tab, I simply asked why, why $10 versus the normal $3-$5.. since I wasn’t planning on drinking, I didn’t want to add extra unnecessary drinks, and the manager FLIPPED out and said “you know nothing, get out of my face”.I was completey sober, no where near his face and simply just asking a question for clearification and he flipped out. He didnt have any qualities of a manager. He could have taken a moment to explain the charges ect, but instead he immediately became angry and hostile. HE WAS SO HOSTILE my husband and I questioned if he was on drugs/drunk.

The block has a great location in near okaloosa island, surprisingly there is zero water there. Give them a cup the well is dry… please send relief funds to “The Block” . They are in desperate need of water. All prayers welcome.

I am a black man and just got kicked out of this bar for kissing a white woman. When the bouncer came up and said I had to leave. He said his manager told him to escort me out.I asked why and he said he didnt have to explain himself to me. I was with one girl and barley moved from my seat all night. I witnessed several white couples kissing and nothing happened to them. THIS IS A RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC BAR DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

If you actually know how to two step, dont go here. The bouncers will will kick you off the dance floor if you even dip your girl too low. They will not allow you to do anything above the most basic level of dancing.

Country Club is pretty nice with plenty of room to dance or drink. The hip-hop side is very lacking in space and the lights are so bright no one ever wants to dance.

There are many times where I wanted to leave simply because the limits of what patrons are allowed to do and not due to the lack of knowledge of the people who work there due to clouded times of hypocricy. In short, the servers are too in experienced and untrained to handle a very busy social establishement and youll find yourself threatened often to be kicked out for things that are often socially acceptable in other nightlife establishements. Busy bar but terrible staff.

Bought tickets months ago as a Christmas gift, only for my family to be shut out of the concert because the tickets were in my name and I wasnt in attendance with them. And the kicker? Theyre not refundable. what a joke - 100% DISSATISFIED.

Great place with a great atmosphere....!! If you act a Donkey they dont put up with it very long....will ask you to leave and not make everyones night miserable because one wants to act like a fool. Felt safe and very well lite for a nightclub....will be back...!

Came to this place on a Friday night after 9 p.m. and theres only 10 ppl in the place tops. On top of that they asked me if I wanted to open a tab but neglect to.let u know that theres a 10 buck min. I wouldnt be bothered by that if they would take the time to let me know instead of making me look for a small sign with small print telling me so. Communication works ppl.

If youre not from Crestview, Pace, or Milton, and have been to nice places/clubs, then this place isnt for you. But if youre borderline retarded, have worked the same job for 17 years and only make $12/hour, live in a trailer, and love to line dance - THIS IS YOUR PLACESeriouly though, worst club Ive ever been to...

Great place to go no matter your interest. They have hip hop, country, and karaoke, in three separate parts of the building. Bull riding, pool, several bars, line dancing. Great place!

Terrible bar. The security is humorless and dumb...a bad combination. My first visit was my last. I will not darken their door again, although there are plenty of rednecks to keep the doors open, if thats what youre into...rednecks.

Overall, this place had a good set-up with three different rooms with different options for its guests, but the crowd there was not great. I think this place drawls in a very young crowd, which seem to be looking for trouble.

Stole money from me kept telling me my debit card declined and someone else had to pay for my drinks, I checked my bank account and it did come out and it’s impossible to get a hold of people to get my money back. I never write any reviews but I had to for this sleezy, scum bag, nasty joint. This is the worst bar/club I have ever been in. Service sucked. Servers and bartenders are rude. Management is horrible. Dont waste your time with this place.

You don’t even want to know what I spent last night. Never going back. They measure alcohol and give you a one ounce pour. Don’t get this place.

The love that it’s basically three bars/clubs in one (karaoke, country, hiphop). I like that you can move through the different rooms as your mood changes throughout the night, lol.

Do not go here if you actually want to sing karaoke because the employees and their friends get more turns then you ever will . Definitely not impressed. Will not return

The DJ on Wednesday’s hates taking requests and takes forever to play them if you ask. Not very good at picking good country music.

Not the greatest. But its free entry, and the only real club around during the winter months. Also its FWB, not much else unless you go to Destin or P-Cola. A lot of the drinks are over priced.

It was Saturday night and the place was empty. Country room barely played country, and they were terrible, depressing songs. No one danced. I want my $20 back. NOT WORTH IT!

There was a very sloppy overweight white female named AMANDA that shouldn’t be working there because my sister was trying to apologize to her for an inconvenience because her friends were going to jump her and my sister backed them down for the female worker and the female worker had threatened my sister and had the cops and bouncers push her out the front entrance because she was trying to help her not get beat up this club already has terrible reviews they should get the hint that some of these people need to be fired or just shut down because getting a club shutdown permanently is not impossible with the right people behind it so before anyone goes to this club think twice before your night gets ruined

I had a blast!!!!!!! Im thirty years old and I felt like I was 21 again! I recommend this dance club to all ages 🤗

Dj was terrible all he did was dance rather than actually dj. Felt like he was just playing a CD wack music.
