Its a lot of fun. Younger crowd but still fun and inviting for us. Bull riding is entertaining, and even when it was packed, it was easy to get service.

Great little dance hall! They have a mechanical bull, a karaoke room, & of course a nice small dance floor! Music is always great. Service is very friendly. Drinks are strong. Bathrooms are clean! Definitely recommend it for a fun night out!

My girlfriend and I spent a few days in Galveston over spring break and wanted to country dance and found this place. It was GREAT!!! Definitely a younger crowd but they were all really well behaved and just had a great time. Will go back in a heartbeat. I was the guy over 40 with the black hat with the cute girl that really knows how to dance traditionally!!!

Only bar in Galveston that you will find bull riding, live music, two sep, and karaoke. They have pool too. I’m from Richmond Texas but I always close my nights at bucks and it’s one of the bars on the strand that actually stay open until 2. Many here don’t.

I went on a Friday night with 5 girlfriends and we had a blast. We are all around 50 years old. We line danced, sang Kareoke, and took a pic on Mechanical Bull. I wish that was all I did. But, I was the only one that ended up riding it and it slung me off like I was nothing. The lady working the bull said it wasn’t working well. I injured my shoulder. It has been 4 days and I have been icing it and taking Advil. Hoping I heal without having to get an MRI much less surgery. Anyway, beware of the bull. I think my body would feel worse if I was not in such good shape. But, overall it was a great time.

Some friends and I stopped in this place while we were visiting Galveston and it was fantastic. They had a live band that blew it out of the park, an active karaoke bar, and then dancing after the band stopped playing. The bartenders and staff were courteous and attentive. Several of us went back on subsequent nights. I’d definitely return next time I’m in town and would recommend it to others.

Great place to go for a night out with friends or your significant other they got karaoke, bull riding, drinks, great country dancing, and pool tables, also it’s a huge place

I felt like I was at a footloose movie! Amazing atmosphere! I would definitely go again.

Spent a couple nights there while I was in town. Had a rock band one night and the place was hopping. Service was excellent and reasonable prices.

Ignore the ONE STAR!!Horrible place!! Poorly managed, gets entirely way too crowded and uncontrolled. Kids are way too young and dumb. Get their feelings hurt and want to cry and start fights. Then “security” brings out the pepper spray and sprays the wrong people. We will never ever be back and we go to that area at least once a year.

This place sucks. mainly because of the bouncers, they talk to women like garbage and seem like they are intoxicated. do not recommend.

We definitely recommend the Buckshot Saloon! We had a group in town from MN for our wedding in February 2023. The Buckshot offered our group of about 50 people line dance lessons. My 8 year old grandson and 75 year old parents and relatives even had a blast learning these dances. We arrived around 7pm. And had about an hour of lessons. Then we moved on to some bull riding. What fun!! They also have a karaoke room. We had some singers in our group and that was a ton of fun to listen and watch. The Buckshot gets busy around 10pmSo much fun watching all the dancing. The Saloon offers a great variety to do at their establishment. Thank you for such a fun night!!

WENT FOR NEW YEARS EVE TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR! I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH THEY WERE SELLING THE BEERS FOR! 2 BOTTLES OF BEER WAS $11.25 WOW I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU LIVE! BUT 2 BOTTLES OF BEER SHOULDNT BE $11.25 THAT IS JUST CRAZY! YOU CAN BE SURE MY GROUP IS NEVER GOING BACK!

We went to see the venue for a potential event. You cant find a better staff. They were fantastic!! Very welcoming environment and staff willing to help. The club space is HUGE....and theres a mechanical bull 😀!! Awesome!!

We had a blast last night @ Buckshot! Cameron immediately had to ride the mechanical bull! I enjoyed the Karaoke 🎤 Bar!18 and up. Girls free. 21+ $5 cover. 18-20 yr Olds $10 cover. Must pay cash at the door.

Messed up stuff happens here. Keep eyes on your drinks at all times. Expect staff to sweep issues under the rug.

Went there last night to have the snowflake working the door refuse my friend bc of the way they looked. They werent in anything scandalous nor explicit but were refuse bc the top was sleeveless. To be clear, it wasnt a tank top and there were plenty of people in sleeveless attire. There was no listed dress code and it was blatant discrimination. Based off other reviews, its clear theres some unsavory practices going on here and this has happened before. Clearly if youre not straight and white, youre not welcome. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is garbage.

Walking into buckshots was the worst mistake of my life…Even from the start I could tell this place wasn’t right, the guy at the door checking ids refused my friend for simply dressing in normal clothes nothing explicit or out of the ordinary then I noticed how they write sharpie on the people who are under 18 and then you watch those same people go run into the bathroom to rub it off?!After that the whole bar is full of 18-19 year old weirdos making the girls I was with feel uncomfortable. We took our things and left, the girls I was with later told me they were worried about getting ‘roofied’ since that’s very frequent here. I’ve never been to a bar where I wanted to get up and walk out until I came to buckshots saloon

DO NOT GO HERE EVER!Me and my and Fiancée went there for her 22nd birthday. We were having a good time dancing and I decided to go to the bathroom really quick between songs. After that I come back to find my Fiancée laid face first on the table and I know she didn’t have enough to drink to make her do I that know she had only had about 4 drinks. After this she was unresponsive and we had a ambulance come get her and on her way out in the stretcher the OWNER OF THE BAR/DJ makes a comment saying “no one told me there was a dead girl here” I heard it and turned around telling him to watch his mouth but a message to you little man is if there werent cops around I would have put you in your place right there and if I see you again I will make up for that night.Turns out we get to the hospital and the paramedic says that he gets calls from this bar frequently about being roofied and he thinks thats what happened to her. Needless to say this draws me to believe that it came from one of the bartenders with how frequent this is happening. Do not trust this place to service you guys in a safe manner. STAY FAR AWAY.I used to see stuff like this and overlook it cause I thought it could never happen to me or my family but now that it has I will never ignore it again.

Fun spot in Galveston for line dancing, karaoke, and good music.

The place was fine but many of the dancers have horrible dance etiquette. I went there twice while on vacation and had several of the dancers say they were resting or flat out no when I asked them to dance (only 1 guy actually asked me to dance a few times and that was after I began asking questions about dancing to a friend of his). Several of the guys said they were resting and would dance with me later only to immediately dance with a young girl. Im a good follow and a good dancer and dance many styles but Im not in my 20s so I guess Im not worth dancing with in galveston. I just wanted to dance and literally originally planned a trip to Texas to dance 2 step!! Obviously galveston is not the place for that.

Bucks is one of my favorite bars. I go here at least once a week! Tons of dancing, good music, karaoke, a full bar, a mechanical bull, and pool tables. Bucks is the first and only bar that I feel safe enough to go to, alone. The security is top tier at their jobs and always available to take care of any issue or concern, that you might have. If I’m going out anywhere, I’m going to out to buckshot! Definitely worth the time and money 🥳💃🏻

Great to find a good old Country Music Dance Hall. Played good country music , but also played some rock type music for those that enjoy. Have to admit the country was my favorite. Drinks were good and the staff, including the DJ were friendly.

I would give them a big fat zero if I could we came on Friday night and they would not let us in because we were wearing tank tops. In the pictures we seen on here there are so many people wearing tank tops, so what was the problem its funny how everyone in the pictures are white people and my amazing husband is Mexican. So tell me why we could not enter a bar in Texas in summer in this heat in a tank top. Please explain to me owners.

Im not claiming anything here, I am just going to show negative treatment. My friend and I were going to this bar last night. After checking our IDs the door man gave us the go ahead, but quickly stopped my friend and stated, you cannot come in with a tank top on. So, we just left. However, him and I switched shirts later in the night and came back and they let me in with the tank top on. The only difference between my friend and I is skin color. Again I am not claiming anything. I am simply stating the facts of what happened. Would the owner or manager care to provide an explanation?

Great place. Nice size dance floor and extremely nice staff. The drink prices are great and there are plenty of specials with a large selection of liquor draft and bottle beers. The owner is very outgoing and interacts with the customers on a professional and personal basis providing a comfortable and lively setting. If youre looking for a place to have a good time good laughs and a few drinks I highly recommend going.

A male employee literally followed me around the place the whole time I was there and sent a female when I went into the bathroom after I took a straw from the bar to drink my water (????). Very uncomfortable and we ended up leaving after they charged $10 cover to get in and the pool table ate my dollar, worse experience ever. do not recommend.

Bartenders were great. Went here with my husband around 9:30pm on a Thursday and music was good till about 10pm. After that it stuck to old songs even when no one was on dance floor. Not to mention the number of times we requested songs and were told they would play when they never did. Lots of potential but definitely needs a better DJ.

Came here for the New Year’s Eve party and it was a blast. Drink prices were fair especially compared to the higher prices in the area. The bar plays more country music than anything else but they do occasionally play other types of music. They have a pretty good size dance floor and the staff were all friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend this place.

This is easily the best bar on the island been going here for years and have never been to another bar that makes you feel like family always a great time for when you’re dancing , rocking out on karaoke or challenging the Bull everyone here is awesome from all the bartenders,bouncers,buck, and josh in karaoke. Miss this place so much haha will be back soon

Would give this 0 stars but have to have at least 1 to review. The drinks sucked the music sucked and it just wasnt a good experience at all. The Dj couldnt figure out how to not talk over the music. In fact it was like it was everyones birthday because every 5 seconds he was going over the music saying it was someone elses birthday. We came to dance and enjoy ourselves and instead we left disaplointed because even the dance floor was to small. We will never be going back nor will we ever recommend tgis place to any of our friends

Fun place that ladies over 21 get in free. Dance floor is really small and the bar is under staffed. Music could be a better selection but I always have fun when I go. They have pool, games, bull ride and karaoke.

Anytime my friends and I drive up to Galveston for a night out we always end up here. Its a small country bar, with a lot of college students. Never gets old, good, price, and music.

Went out on Thursday and your dj Corey was awesome came back Friday and didn’t see him . Sara didn’t play anything we requested my bridal party and I walked out.

The old guy bouncer hates on military. Didnt let a friend of mine that was born in 1993(23) years old because HE couldnt read the Back of the ID. Had the cops come out and threatened to call the base. Go ahead because hes clearly of age. 8 of us all military because of it left. Its an 18 an up bar and no way should a man that sacrifices so much for this country be treated like That. Absolutely disgusting. Old man should be fired.

Honestly the place was great EXCEPT ....we about died from heat stroke! Its 100 degrees outside and no a/c. Lots of people dancing and making more heat! I wont go back until winter comes!!!
