Massage Envy

Made an appointment online about 5 days ago. Apparently the manager called this morning (day of the appointment) and left a message that the time I booked wasn’t available anymore. I didn’t see the voicemail, but I had logged into my ME account this morning to make sure I had the time correct. It still showed a 130 appointment. Drove 30 minutes to the appointment only to be told they couldn’t accommodate me. I showed them the ME schedule and they said they don’t change that until they’ve confirmed with the client. My point would be don’t leave an appointment on the books that isn’t correct, ESPECIALLY if you haven’t gotten ahold of the client. Also, after checking, the voicemail came from a Mobile, AL number, why would I think my Boise massage information is coming from an unidentified number in Mobile, Alabama? Bad business practices, an hour of my life I’ll never get back. Always appreciated.

Called ME In Meridan to check appt time. Was given an Alabama telephone # to call its State St office. Googled the # for the State St store and talked to the receptionist who spoke as if her mouth was filled with oatmeal. Amd when I complain about such incompetency, I am told about the Covid effect, hard to hire good people, and nobody wants to work. PAY PEOPLE A DECENT WAGE AND GET GOOD PEOPLE WHO CAN GIVE CORRECT INFORMATION AND SPEAL CLEARLY.

WARNING... Horrible Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!Saturday I called to book an appointment, and unfortunately Sat was all booked, but Sunday 10am was available... which I booked.I showed up 15 min early, only to find out they cancelled my appointment without notifying me. Why... they still cant tell me. After being on hold for an 40+ min, they are saying I called to cancelled it. (why would I cancel an appointment I just made and showed up to it??). When I did show up, all the girls could say was Im sorry.Sorry for cancelling my appt. Sorry for wasting my time. As I called to talk to a manager, of course, no one available (and still hasnt called me back). What pissed me off is I could have gone somewhere else at 2pm... but this one was early am which worked better. Afterwards, I called the 2pm appt back - filled, argh...I called back to talked to the central booking CS manager, and after a lengthy call they told me theyd call me back; still, no reply.I just hung up with the central bookings and they told me it was me who cancelled the appt. But after being on hold for 20 min. and with some really bad on-hold acid-trippin music, I told the girl to replay my booking call, which she did, and confirmed, it wasnt me that cancelled it. Did they offer to make good on any of this... no. Offer anything but a stupid... Im sorry, no!Unbelievable. I come from a world of Do what you say and say what you do!. If you screw up, own it and make amends. Now they have really wasted my time; an hour driving to and from the appt, and over an hour on the phone to try to resolve this. And its still, its not resolved.My advice... plenty of non-corporate massage therapist in town here, call someone else!!!!

I hate to leave negative reviews but in this case I believe it’s warranted. I booked a 60 minute medium-firm pressure massage with Shannon on 12/28 and received maybe 10 minutes of actual massage. She spent most of the session lightly touching various parts of my body through something called sacral-cranial massage, I get that this is a type of touch therapy that works for some people but I am a chronic pain patient who prefers a true massage. I feel bad because I don’t have enough money to afford regular massage and can only go maybe twice a year, my mom was nice enough to give me a gift card to massage envy for Christmas and I really feel like my session with Shannon was a waste of her money and my time.

I enjoyed my massage with James. He does the right amount of deep tissue for me. He was very open to adjusting if I needed, but I didnt need to. The intensity was right on the edge and then hed back off and give a nice relaxing moment.

I canceled my membership In October of 2023. After several phone calls, emails, and confirmation on the store level that my card was off file and my membership was cancelled message Envy Boise North location drafted 288.00 from my account in January of 2024. The manager was dismissive, and uncooperative. Ultimately refusing a refund. I can’t even get a response from corporate office. DO NOT TRUST THIS FRANCHISE.

Chloe was great. She was gentle and explained every step she was doing so there were no surprised with cold or hot towels...she was knowledgeable of the products and overall very pleasant.Thank you Chloe for bringing back facials!!

James does a great job addressing muscle tightness and soreness for those training for a race.Anna did a great job during a full body massage. I felt great walking out the door. Highly recommend!

James is a great worker and made sure that he asked what it is that I need. He also ensured that I am comfortable and that he is focusing on the spots that need to be addressed. He is very respectful. I am always happy after I have a session with him.

This company takes on way more clientele than they can accommodate. I have waited months to use one single credit for a massage. I now have accumulated over seven credits that I cannot use or ever seem to get an appointment for. I have been canceled on same day several times. However, I had a family emergency come up one time and they made me pay for half of the appointment.Trying to cancel your contract is ridiculously hard, you either have to have a doctors note or a change of address where there is not a massage envy within 25 miles of your home. This place could have a lot more compassion. In this day and age, everything is so expensive, and I really hate seeing companies taking advantage of people and their hard earned money. It would be nice if they would offer to freeze your account whilst still being able to use your credits while the account is frozen so that you can catch up.

Shannon did a wonderful job on my prenatal massage. She made me feel comfortable with any modifications necessary and my body felt so good afterwards. Highly recommend booking with her!

Leilani was pleasant, professional, and gave an excellent massage this past week. James, from an earlier experience, was also all these things plus he relieved a pinched nerve in my hip which has not returned. I’m so grateful for his efforts.

Maddie is the best! She is personable and her facials and microderms leave my skin so refreshed. I so look forward to my appointments with her.

Shannons methods resulted in a complete relaxation response for me. It relieved the overall tightness I feel in so many areas of my body. Will definitely schedule another session with Shannon.

I cancelled my membership in June of 22, only after posting a negative review on Google. That’s what it took for management to call me back. Well, I received an e-mail thanking me for a visit last week. Not only do I no longer have a membership, I no longer live in the state. I called to check in with the clinic and per the usual, no answer. Several days later, no return call. I’ve been watching all of my cards and accounts. Joining Massage Envy is regretful.

Shannon is awesome. I feel so relaxed after our session, even the next day. The added stretch session was so helpful both physically and mentally.

The Leilani was an amazing masseuse. She listen to everything I asked and was very professional. I would definitely recommend massage envy on State Street in Boise.

Been a member of ME for over 10 years but this is the first time at this location…and it was very disappointing. The girl I had today was so rough in my opinion. And not in the sense of the pressure, but her bed side manner. She was very rough when handling me. She was flinging me around and at the very end she smacked me in the eye with her hand. I’ve never had someone be so rough like that. It was NOT relaxing. I was dreading that I chose 90 minutes. I wanted it to end. The massage itself was mediocre at best. I left in worse condition then how I came honestly. And to add insult to injury, the other workers were so loud that I could hear them talking and laughing through the walls the whole time. Over the music in my room. The whole hour and a half was a mess. Made me really miss and fully appreciate how my old Massage Envy was ran. Quietly, gently, and with relaxation in mind.

Jordan delivered a great massage and helped with some tightness in my neck and shoulders. Definitely worth the time and I will try to make another appointment with him.The front desk was kind and helpful and unlike so many others did not act like I was interrupting something more important. Altogether pleasant experience!

MadelynShe is very progressional kind gentle and will either chat with me or let me sleep. My skin never looked better.

Had an appointment and they scheduled over the top and wouldnt accept the appointment so we washed our hands of it, a year later my beautiful wife tried again to set something up for me( my back is very screwed up) and the receptionist was very rude and disrespectful. Not recommended for people looking for a friendly and helpful company and place

I had never had a stretch before and it felt great. I forgot my massage that was scheduled after had been canceled, and I think the massage would have been great after the stretch, but I have no complaints about the stretch process.

After getting my appointments that were booked months in advanced canceled 3 separate times over the last 2 years... Im done! Third time is not the charm!!! This place is not properly staffed to handle couples massages. I gave up! Booked with a different spa!Judging by your response you guys are completely incompetent! My experience was awful. Angela was amazing. I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. The RTR and stretch with Angela made me feel so much better, like a brand new me!

Leilani always does a great deep tissue massage. She asks what areas need focus and delivers pressure where it is needed

I have to say, Ive had my differences with Massage Envy on their monthly auto-charge procedure, but I do enjoy the services and pricing. And I LOVE my massage therapist, Taylor. He is wonderful!! Better than massages Ive had at twice the price. The spa is clean, stylish and comfortable. Highly recommend it!

I purchased a facial. Danielle did a fabulous job. She was thorough and explained the process. My skin felt so good! I will definitely use Danielle again. She is very professional and very knowledgeable? Thank you, Danielle!

Take this as a warning. Massage envy will rip you off eventually with the membership. Trust me dont do it I lost $600 and my friend over $800. Its 50/50 weather you get a good therapist a d most of the time receptionists dont know much. Terrible company that I spent over 9 years with

I had a friend transfer a massage to me. We both spoke to the representative when I booked the appointment. After my appointment I found out I needed to book the appointment at the same facility she had her membership with. This is not what they said on the phone when we booked it or I would have and instead charged me an introductory rate. This place has eliminated their opportunity for repeat business because I wont ever go back. She also said I would see a refund when they worked things out right after she told me there was no way to fix it. So I belive her 🙄

I had a really wonderful massage. I felt like she was trying to make me fall asleep with secret pressure points. She gave me exactly what I asked for and did a really great job. The building was clean and modern looking. I felt comfortable and taken care of. I would like to return again soon.

This was literally the best massage I have ever.....had, and I have had many. Gracie was my therapist and I am definitely a new returning customer from now on. The front desk lady was also just a dream. She help me with the paperwork that I was unable to see to fill out. The facility was nice and brand new I loved it but it was warm and inviting inside. I guess it helps that the windows are facing Eas ;) I talked about the spa and my therapist all day yesterday as it was my birthday and it was my birthday gift. I cant wait to go back!

Leilani is worth a try. She did a very intense deep tissue massage that left me sore for 3 days but I felt so good for a while. And she did some really awesome work on my hands that made my arthritis pain go away for awhile. I wasnt impressed by the other therapist Ive seen there, not naming names. But I am happy with the customer service that I have gotten from the manager. She is always really nice and very helpful with my questions

John has the right hands. I like deep tissue but I bet he can handle it all. Nice guy!

The most incredible massage I have ever had. Shelby was marvelous. She knows exactly how much time and attention to spend on each muscle group and she makes every minute count. Great experience from the time I arrived to the time I left.

From out of town and decided to use my membership at this location. Really enjoyed it. The front desk girls were great and accommodating and the therapist (Leilanni) did a great job. I liked the facility and everything was new and quiet. Will go back.

My first experience with Massage Envy was phenomenal! The staff is professional and welcoming, the facility is CLEAN, and the Massage Therapist I saw, Leilani, was amazing! She made sure I was comfortable through the entire service! I’ll definitely be returning!

Massage envy has more than just massages. I just got a facial done by Challis. She did an excellent job and was very considerate of my needs during the facial and helped me understand some of the different options that would help out my skin the best. Just a great experience from start to finish. The inside of Massage Envy was also very clean and professional. The checkin staff was also very friendly.

Do not do business with this company, you will regret it dearly. I bought a one year membership and at the conclusion of my final appointment, I was taken through a renewal script/sales pitch, offered an incentive, etc...I stated clearly that I had no interest in renewing. I answered the clerks questions several times No I do not wish to renew. I signed something to that effect and left under the assumption that was the end of the agreement. Massage Envy continued to charge my credit card $60 per month from Oct 2019 thru Sep 2020, $720 stolen! When I discovered the issue, I immediately called the Boise location. I was told to expect a call from Lori Eastman, General Manager. She never called. I went into the Nampa location near my home, spoke to Shalyssa, Clinic Administrator. She assured me that she would cancel the membership immediately, and Lori Eastman would call me to refund the money. Lori Eastman ignored my messages submitted through her staff and never called me back! I finally got Ms Eastmans direct phone number and when I spoke to her, she refused to refund the money. Challenged me to prove I had cancelled the agreement a year ago with something in writing.These auto renewal contracts are designed to steal your money. How else do you explain a company taking a payment every month for a year and never having to provide any service to that customer? They are deceitful and greedy! THEY TOOK MY MONEY, PROVIDED NO SERVICE, INCURRED NO EXPENSE BUT, REFUSED TO REFUND MONEY THEY SIPHONED OFF MY CREDIT CARD FOR A YEAR. This type of contract should be illegal, its designed to prey on peoples weaknesses.

Went for a facial I wanted to add on the $15 treatment extra and the lady who did my facial couldnt do it for medical reasons so that was kind of a bummer but it was a great facial. Then when checking out they couldnt figure out how to make a transaction work with coupon, so it took 15 minutes to pay and leave.

ME is a scam. We transferred our account here hoping it would be different from the other locations, but its more of the same. Their membership is extremely difficult to get out from under. They say your account is frozen and then they keep charging you. When you call to get it resolved nobody returns your calls and when you finally get someone they are of no help and refuse to refund your account even when you have proof of freezing it. There are never managers available and there is no corporate office to give your complaints to. Their practices are fraudulent and I would discourage anyone from becoming a member at this location or any other. No disrespect to the massage staff, just the business model.

Why cant you give 0 stars!!?? This place is horrid. Appointments were never available the few times I did try to make them. They roped me into their monthly subscription telling me I could cancel at any time. Then when I did try to cancel it never happened. They kept taking money. SO I call back and ask whats happening and they tell me that it has to be in writing so I do that. STILL NOT CANCELED. Call again!!!! Oh we will suspend your account for up to 3 months until we figure it out... LIES!!!!! Now I have 6 months worth of massages I cant use and have been waiting for a phone call from the owners for OVER A MONTH!!!!!!!! HORRID SCAM.

Loved this place for a long time. How many policy problems Ive had in the last year my opinion has changed. Some therapists are great others some not. Love the massage gun that they offer.

We were a little bit late to our appointment. That when we got there the lady that was going to massage my wife almost had an attitude even from the time we met her. During the massage my wife had left her underwear on, and she had complained about having lower back pain before the massage. Her panty was a high waisted panty. During the massage she told the mosusa that that was not wear her pain was and the lady responded shortly to her or saying I cannot massage below your panties. She did not give my wife the option to lower her panties or anything. Having massages in several different places often in our lives that was the worst massage my wife has ever had in her life. Her name was Anita in the Boise store.

It wasnt what I expected as in a massage but it was relaxingI guess I should have been more clear in what I wanted in a massage.

Went for a couples massage. Kinda awkward set up for a couples massage. Our tables were faced away from each other. Couldnt even see my Mr. The massage itself was good in the upper half of my body. Lower half really wasnt good. Gonna try another place.

The massage was okay but I left there an absolute oily mess, got baby in my car and everything I touched or tested my arms on was then covered in massage oil as well

Got my hubby a full body massage. Guy finished 15 min early. No massage on arms and hands or upper legs. Did good on calves and back. Hubby says the guy seemed timid. Very disappointed. Hope its better next time.

The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The facility is clean and inviting. Jo my massuse is very good at what he does. Im very pleased with the service I received. Thats why Ill be going back.
