Massage Envy

I have been a member here for many, many years and have always had great massages. The issue with this location is that you can never actually book an appointment. AND, on the off chance you are able to book one more often than not they will call to cancel the day of or a day or two before. What is the point of paying $80 every month for services you can’t even use?? My massage has been cancelled two months in a row. My sister had her massage and facial cancelled this weekend. It’s ridiculous. I wanted to gift my 11+ sessions to my sister and cancel my membership. I was told I would have to pay $10 for EACH session I wanted to gift her AND then pay a cancellation fee. Oh and she would have to use all 11 sessions within 60 days. So, I would have to pay to transfer sessions that I have already paid for?!! Make it make sense. And how the heck would she use all of these sessions within 60 days when you can’t ever get a freakin’ appointment!!! Again, make it make sense. I am so over this place.Word of advice for anyone considering becoming a member here: DO NOT DO IT.

The worst Massage Envy location I have dealt with in 10 years. They have a limited number of providers, they are difficult to make appointments with, and the manager does not care about the customers needs. After my recent interaction with the manager I cancelled all future appointments and my membership.Im an active duty Marine and have been with Massage Envy in Florida, Hawaii, and Virginia. I routinely get deep tissue massages and facials every month. I think any other business would consider me a valued customer.On July 9th I booked a deep tissue massage with Latasha at 12:15pm. (see photos) I only book deep tissue because due to years of physical training and injuries my muscles are tight and do not respond to a light touch.On August 19th I received what I thought was the routine text to confirm my appointment. (see photos). However, I didnt notice they had changed my massage time and provider without calling me like every other location has done. I was now booked for 1:00pm with Sushila. I replied Y via text assuming I was confirming what I had originally booked.I arrived at 12:15pm for my appointment to learn that I was early and my therapist had changed. The therapist I booked had been injured for over six weeks. The new therapist, Sushila, was one they had given me before that has a light touch and doesnt meet my needs.The manager stated that because I had replied Y I was obligated to pay the therapist for her time. She stated there was no way to change that and I was contractually obligated to take the appointment or cancel and pay the fee.When I told her I would therefore cancel all future appointments and my membership she brushed it aside and said Im sorry it didnt workout for you today. This is not how you treat customers, let alone a loyal 10 year customer

Ive been to this massage envy many times. I love Olga and Debbie for my facials, but please do not sign up for the membership. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP. I have spent 3 months back and fourth with this location trying to cancel my membership. I’ve come during the day to see a manager: they are never available when I am there and they state a membership can’t be canceled over the phone, which is convenient for my 12 hour shifts. It’s ridiculous. The management is horrible. I was told today I’d get a call back, didn’t receive one. They keep saying my information is been passed on to a manager and theyll give me a call and no one has reached out to me. Ive emailed customer support and still no manager has reached out. It’s unprofessional and they will no longer get my support.

Olga is amazing she gives the best facials. My face started to clear up with just the first facial I got with her. I have been going to massage envy for three plus years but wow Olga is the best!

I’ve never had a massage before and the staff and environment made the experience amazing! The receptionists were very sweet and helpful, and my massage therapist Annalisa was wonderful, I highly recommend booking with her! Cannot wait for my next session.

2 stars for amazing customer service. The front desk was super helpful in making an appt. This was a gift for my husband. His appointment was at 11 for a 60 min full body massage. He arrived at 10:45. He was called in at 11. Ms. Latasha came into the room 10 minutes later. It doesn’t take that long to change. The kicker was she finished the massage 10 minutes early.Such a disappointment

UPDATE: Had a major problem with a massage I booked. The masseuse I wanted was out from a surgery for months, but I saw in July he would have appointments at the end of August, so I booked one. I figured I would call about a week and a half before to make sure he would be there, and sure enough the call center told me there was a note on my appointment to call me to reschedule. Ummm, he’s been out for months, so why were you waiting until the last minute to call me when you know that you book up a month in advance? At that point I couldnt book another massage with anyone good or at a reasonable time. I asked to have a manager call me and no one did. Apparently this was the call centers fault, but still annoyed that no one called earlier to let me know my appointment would be cancelled when the masseuse had been out for months. The manager finally called me and apologized, but it was too little too late.UPDATE: I went back to give them another chance by booking a facial and they never told the esthetician to come in. Checked in when I got there and they never even told me and had me waiting for almost 30 minutes before I asked what was happening. The manager tried to make a bunch of excuses rather than owning it after I overheard her telling the receptionist that they have to call the esthetician to come in when same day appointments come in. The manager here is terrible. Told me the only way they could give me the facial is if I waited another HOUR for the esthetician to come in. Unbelievable.

My son who runs track received a Massage Envy gift card for his 18th birthday. He tried to give it to me but I convinced him to use it for himself. Today he had an appointment and upon arrival, he was told that his appointment was canceled. He asked why and they told him that he canceled it. He explained that surely this was a mistake and that he was there for his appointment. They told him that his appointment was canceled despite the fact that he was standing there and that he could not be seen for this reason. On top of this, he was charged a cancellation fee. He only had $100 on the card. He clearly was there so why would he have canceled and then just randomly show up in the midst of a “storm”? They then offered him to come back for a 50% discount. He didn’t have the money in the first place it was a gift! He was there and didn’t cancel. But yet he was charged a cancellation fee for arriving on time for his own canceled appointment. I guess they have too many 5 stars to do the right thing for this one customer.UPDATE!!!!!!- My son called me a few days ago to tell me that my review worked and the cancelation charge was refunded to his card. Thank you for doing the right thing to fix this issue and to do right by this customer! I have changed my rating to 4 stars.

This place is horrible. Customer service does not return your calls after they make illegal charges on your account. They are fraud and the people that work in the customer service and they need to be replaced because nobody returns your call and they are fraud people I would Appreciate someone in a higher level would get back to me the ones they have Here at this location are doing nothing.

I love coming here! They have great massage therapists. I’ve had a different provider each appt because of my crazy schedule. But once I tell them my preference for firm/deep tissue pressure, they deliver! Although I’m close to the Lake Success location, I like coming here because they have better availability.

Olga has a very bubbly, friendly personality. She knew exactly what treatment I needed and got right to work.

I am giving this place a 0 star. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL!!! My appointments are always being cancel and then when trying to reschedule they are saying that the therapist that you are book with is unavailable. Not only that, the manager Aliyah is super disrespectful after receiving a text message earlier to confirm my 7/11th 7pm with my massage therapist Raquel which I did confirm. I then received a call from there many different receptionist that my massage is cancel because Raquel will not be there and I ask to be reschedule with her and I was holding for a good 10mins and the phone hang up. I called back right after put on hold and then the SUPER DISRESPECTFUL manager Aliyah came on the phone asking me why I havent been paying gratuity on my account. Is this a joke? First of all, whenever I am there and ready to leave your MANY receptionist you guys keep changing never check me out for me to leave a TIP for Raquel. There is NEVER a problem leaving TIP but where is your many front desk receptionist at when Im leaving? Does Raquel know this? When Im leaving the front desk receptionist is never checking out since the staff work on commission. Last month in June, I have a facial with Olga and thats the only time they did a express check out with me where Olga received her cash tip in an envelope. Did I have a problem Tipping then? Aliyah, the manager was so rude telling me I am not tipping and then being COMBATIVE with me when I told her that her staff have NOT been checking me out. Guess what guys, the manager Aliyah who is supposed to have top tier customer service HANG THE PHONE UP while I was talking to her. Aliyah, if you dont like your JOB just say so. No one force you to be there and if you choose to be there start being PROFESSIONAL and start setting good example for yourself and STAFF. Train your many changing front desk STAFF to check out all guests and not only some. Oh! not to mentioned I payed my monthly membership ahead of time on 7/6th and my monthly payment is due on 7/20th for my July service. I requested for my membership to be cancel since I will not be using any of my services that should be covering under my monthly payment of July. Guess what again guys, the front desk clerk check again with Aliyah who is management and was told to inform me that they will not refund my money. Lol, I prefer to CANCEL my membership and prefer to SPEND MY MONEY elsewhere and not to this location that needs proper training and most of all a better suitable manager, which is definitely NOT Aliyah.To the owners of this location, being that I have over 10years of HR experience, having a GOOD business starts with the type of management and if the managers are not leading in the right way. Well, there is more reviews from others like me to come and more NEGATIVE LIGHT on your business.

I see Olga monthly for a customized facial. I have really acne prone skin and I’m in my late 20’s. I feel like I’ve tried everything and nothing has seemed to do the trick. I’ve gone to Olga 3 times so far and there is 100% a noticeable difference in my skin. I break out less, have smaller pores, and overall better texture. I would definitely recommend!! Also, the staff is super pleasant :)

This was my time getting a full body massage. Upon entering the facility, the atmosphere was very welcoming. Kristin displayed a high level professionalism during the entire session.I can honestly say I was nervous at the beginning, and thanks to Kristin I was able to relax and enjoy every minute of it. One of the best massages I’ve had in a long time by Raquel. She was very professional, taking her time and giving extra attention to my most targeted problematic areas, while also being mindful of the intensity. I would recommend her to everyone. The room was quiet and the table quite comfortable with a heated cushion. The whole experience was very relaxing indeed!!

It was a great experience, it was my first microderma infusion and Rachael made sure it goes very smoothly. My skin feels great after. She is kind and caring and cares for all her clients. The salon is tidy and organized. The girls at the desk were very helpful and sweet. Overall amazing, got the member ship too. Please ask for Rachael if you go her for infusion!

I never posted a review in my life however after my experience today I feel I needed to write something. I purchased a gift card at this establishment less than a year ago and they have no record of the purchase in their system and the only option I was given by management was to file a dispute with my credit card company. My credit card company even offered to send the vendor proof of my transaction. At this point all I want is my money back. Sad!

I recently found that my membership allows for facials and have had Lisa do my facial the past two times. Not only is the check-in easy walking in, the staff is very professional. Lisa also does massages but her facials are wonderful. I highly recommend scheduling your session with her, she is only at the Garden City location on Sundays but it works for me. Their products she uses for the facial are great and I will probably purchase the complete set once my skin care is finished. However, she was very detailed about my skin needs and concerns along with recommendations. I am glad I found her!

Made an appointment at this location 7 days prior to the date of appointment. The day of my appointment I went inside and checked in with the desk. The woman who was at the desk told me the massage therapist would be out in a couple of minutes to bring me in. I sat in the waiting room for around 15 minutes past my appointment time when a different woman came out and said “Your massage therapist was having car trouble and wasn’t able to do the appointment”. Don’t ask me how it went from how she would be right out to get me to her having car trouble. Before I left the location I thanked them for wasting my time and requested a manager to call me. It’s been over a month with zero calls from a manager. I guess now I know why massage envy has around 50 Class Action suits filed against them.

I have been going to the Garden City on Stewart Ave for the past few months and my skin has went from acne oily to smooth and acne free with the products and regimen Olga has given me. She is an Angel with angelic hands and I will not go anywhere else or to anyone else but her!

Massage Envy Garden City is my place for facial and massage. They have this cushion table warm up for you to lay down during your session(in summer I ask them to turn it off bec its too hot for me)If I need facial I ask for Olga or Rachele G. They both make me feel great, everytime. 60 min custom facial is worth itand it comes with neck and shoulder massage. And Stanley did my 60 min full body massage( i ask to give more attention on my shoulder, neck, back, which he did). He has great hand, just the right pressure. No aches and pain. Theres a lot of parking. The receptionists are very patient and accomodating

Lisa is wonderful! Her facials are therapeutic to me and much needed Me Time. She explained questions I had on the products she used and when she analyzed my skin, she recommended products. One of my favorites is the facial steam. I feel I can literally feel my pores opening up. She analyzed my skin and then cleaned my pores. I can only imagine what it looked like.I love their sunshine in a bottle smells like oranges and is called C-Estra. Its a vitamin C. Using proper skin care gives me a good base for any foundation/make-up. I have not been disappointed. I left there with my face hydrated and glowing. Felt so smooth.The staff at the front desk is also wonderful! I love how ME texts you in advance with making sure you can make your appointment and check-in. I highly recommend Massage Envy!

My husband surprised me with a message here for my birthday and I definitely needed one. The staff greeting you at the front desk were very pleasant as was the lady who provided the message. She was very knowledgeable and informative. I think upper back messages may be her specialty because although I told her to focus on the lower back, she put a lot of emphasis on the upper back. The rest of my body was just a rub down. Really wish I could have gotten some attention on my lower back which was in need of a deep message. After the message, she let the guy at the front desk know that it was my birthday in which she stated that my upgrade should have been free. He didnt mention anything about a reimbursement or discount. However, he didnt hesistate to ask me for a tip. I thought that was totally tacky. Im all for tipping good workers but tips are optional and if its not it should be included in the price. This is the 2nd time that I have been to a Message Envy and felt like I was being shaken down as soon as I entered the lobby. I think this practice should be stopped. It puts pressure on the customer who should be relaxing after a message and not surprised with someone begging for a tip. Needless to say I had my husband come back in and give a tip. This place has no class. I really miss The Red Door.

I visited this location Friday 11/2/18. I am giving this location 5 stars for Front Desk friendliness, customer service and the Facial services provided by Lilly . This was the first time I received a facial and it was so much more and better than I expected. Lilly was amazing she not only was friendly and engaging but very professional. She created a warm relaxing environment and educated me on how to achieve and maintain good skin health. Sometimes when you receive personal services like massage or facials you feel as if the person providing the service only talk to you because they are obligated to or want a big tip. I didnt feel that while receiving services from Lilly . She was genuine and kind. In fact I had such a good experience I booked appointments for my sister and sister in law the next day , they reported equally amazing experiences. I will be setting up facial appointments with Lilly for my close friends as gifts in the next few months. If you want an exceptional personal pampering experience you must book a facial with Lilly I promise you that you wont be disappointed.

I had a massage with Shari. She was absolutely amazing. Every knot or ache was worked out, she gave me pointers about stretching and hydration. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The front desk staff was helpful, kind, and very pleasant.

Took my teen daughter to massage envy in Garden city ( Stewart ave) for a facial with Lily! I saw so many great reviews about her, and it is all true! Lily takes time to ask for your personal skin care regime and educated my daughter and I . She breaks everything down about her skin type and needs, she was very gentle and kind with my daughter. I was very impressed with the results for the first visit! My daughter’s skin looked so much better. She has acne and over pigmentations, but she gave us advice on how to treat it properly. I will recommend lily to all my friends! We are going back for another appointment next month. The facial was $60.00, it was well worth it! Now my daughter knows what products to use to continue to improve her skin condition! Ask for lily if you use the garden city spa, she is awesome!

I took an appointment to redeem a gift card worth 99.95 $ for a relaxing facial. The place was nice and quiet , with friendly front desk staff and decor tasteful. However, I had to wait for more than 20 min to be called in. The Aesthetist Alex was knowledgeable but I got only 35 minutes of facial although the card was for 1 hour facial. I was charged an extra 20 $ for an hydrating facial but didnt find anything extra done. I mentioned it at the front desk but they ignored my comments. I must say that the overall experience wasnt as good as the place looked and I will NOT recommend the place as good value for money.

Annalisa is very professional, and has excellent communication skills. She has the ability to adjust pressure, as requested. I would recommend her to anyone. Employees are courteous and attentive. Excellent business environment with owners who care about their customers.

My adult daughter and I had a massage in the same room with Raquel and Stanley. We were both extremely happy with our massages. The room was clean and quiet and the beds were heated perfectly. They were both nice about checking with us on the level of pressure they were using. They were extremely professional and thorough and we were very happy with our first experience at Massage Envy in Garden City.

ImBefore the pandemic. I frequently visited the Garden City site. The staff and crew there are awesome. The atmosphere is fantastic and the rooms are very clean and relaxing. This was my first time back since and every thing is exactly as I remember. The only thing I miss is the tranquility room and having tea before my massage. They really need to bring this back. I don’t like sitting in my car before hand.*A special shout out to Rinal my masseuse. He has the manic tough and very pleasant to have a conversation if that’s what you want; he feeds off your vibe.Highly recommend this site.

The staff at massage envy GARDEN CITY really took the time to make my visit great. I came in and they seamlessly ushered me in sat me down gave me wafted and their full attention (I’m the bride I’m so stressed) they were AWESOME! Especially my esthetician Raquel , she was amazing. Not only is my skin flawless and wedding ready but the relaxation ghat came along with her facial was gold. I will book again and again with her (my fiancé has already booked- did it as soon as I returned home with rave reviews and glowing skin)

Had an appointment for a 90 minutes full body massage on 2/11/2022, I was in the parking lot at 0950h and sent them a message as instructed that I was there, I received a message stating “ we will send you a text when your therapist is ready for you. Feel free to text back with any questions or concerns”. I agreed. I called them at 1012h asking what is happening, they told me that the therapist is running late because she had to drop her child to school and feel free to come in and wait. At 1025h, I went in and the the therapist was still not there the young lady at the desk was very apologetic.She asked me if wanted to sit in the relaxation room to wait, I agreed. Finally at 1055h, the therapist was still not there I then went to the desk and told them to cancel the appointment and that was unacceptable and very disrespectful to have a paying customer wait for 1hour for an appointment and I will not be going back there. The lady at the desk apologized profusely and I told her that it was not her fault .

Olga and the Garden city facility, are one of the best massage envy facilities. When it comes to providing customer care, they are amazing. The front desk is professional and very nice. As for the service they provided, Olga is #1 when it comes to facials. Thanks, from Anna a satisfy customer.

Garden City Massage Envy recently renovated their facility. It looks very neat, clean & creates a soothing atmosphere. My massage therapist Annalisa was fantastic. She worked through all my trouble spots with firm pressure, but not to the point that it hurt. I felt so relaxed & loosened up. I would definitely recommend Annalisa.

Amazing experience. Lilly is a gem. She is super knowledgeable and you can tell that she is passionate about skin care. I learned so much about my skin within our 1-hr session. Might I add that she was extremely punctual—we started at 12pm on the dot and ended at exactly 1. I will definitely be back to see her for a micro facial.

Annalisa was incredible. The massage had enough pressure that I felt like it was really working while also not being uncomfortable. She was friendly and informative about where I was tight. Excellent!!

Michel is a nice lady. Here are some things thar she could work on: client feedback on experience.1. Shared her negative opinions about what the clients uses. She commented that Dove was disgusting. I shared my concern. I was offended and made it clear I was.2. She was going so fast, slapping my face, The facial products got in eyes 2 times. She pulled out my nose ring.3. She is not my person for facials.4. It took 4 weeks for the Manager to get back to me to offer me an $10 enhancement as some sort of credit for my mishap. I decline the offer. It felt like I was a slap in the face. Ive been a member for over 10 years and never been this disrespected. Do not go to this spa franchise.

This was my very first massage and obviously I chose Massage Envy. My masseuse was Steven and he took great care of me while tending to my overworked shoulders and neck region. The girls at the front desk were welcoming as well. I’ll definitely be returning to Massage Envy to continue my self care. Thank you guys!

Called. Explained what I wanted done. Got cost. Made appt. Arrived to that procedure not being done yet there. Completed a facial with the person kept talking abt how bad my skin is compared to hers. Def not relaxing.

As someone try to get a massage 2-3 times per month to relieve pain and stiffness throughout my body, I find Raquel is by far one of best masseuse that I have ever experienced. Always on time and does a thorough job!

OLGA is the most amazing!! I’ve been seeing her for years and my skin has given me so much confidence. I use to wear make up all the time to hide imperfections, now I have a healthy skin at 43 and I get compliments for it and I always say it’s Bec of OLGA’s help. I trust her. She’s so worth it!

Very unprofessional and disorganized with schedules. They cancelled my appointment when I got there after waiting for 20 minutes, then they gave an appointment one month after, but one hour after they texted to cancel it. On top of that my husbands appointment was cancelled too on the same day. Do not recommend this location at all.

My masseuse was awesome , Tulia. He gave me tips on how to handle my neck and shoulder pain.My facial rep was okay; she told me I needed a facial regiment but did not recommend any...*********UPDATEI really think that you guys should visit this location and revamp things because the masseuses and the facial technicians are doing what theyre supposed to do but at the front desk is a mess, Im to the point that I want to cancel my account honestly!I called the location in Garden City, NY, about two weeks ago to freeze my account as I will be out of the country for personal emergency reasons.I spoke to the agent at three instances: I called in and asked to freeze my account, and she told me it was processed.She then called me back to tell me that she was unable to freeze my account; however, I would not lose my points for that month, which I already knew, and that was not my request, but I agreed.She then calls me back a third time to let me know that she will be able to waive my membership for that month as she was unable to freeze, and I would not be charged $70.To my surprise, today I checked my bank account, and Im charged $70.I called the location, the young lady who picked up, asvise that she will be getting her book to assist me then, without warning, transfered me to someone else.The shift leader picked up, during that conversation the shift leader was more interested in rushing through the conversation to get to a resolution and never acknowledged my concerns, never show any empathy or apologize for what took place.When I voice it to her, she got more frustrated (tone of voice, breathing hard!) and told me that she didnt know what took place, this should have been done, and theres no memos in my account. She doesnt know why her peers did not do the right thing as if shes not her problem.

My masseuse Shari was excellent and a wealth of knowledge. I have arthritis in my shoulders and she totally gave me back my range of motion for now. I was very pleased will definitely be seeing her again.

Love love love Olga. Best facials. Her hands are magical and super soft. She always makes me look beautiful. After one of her facials I get so many compliments. Thank you Olga for making me look so good.

I received a great service from esthetician Rachele. She was so professional and treated my face with care and tenderness.I was so comfortable with her throughout the precess and I look forward to having her care for my face during my future visits.🙏🏽

I enjoyed my latest massage with someone I had never used before. His name is Theodore and although he maybe a bit older than many of my masseuses used previously, his knowledge and strength in his fingers was terrific. I came out relaxed and de-stressed.

I called on 12/10/18 to schedule an appointment for the following day 12/11/18(my birthday). The recereceptionist was so warm and friendly and listened to what I wanted and worked really hard to schedule my facial and massage in a time frame that would not make me late for the rest of my birthday treats. So my appointmen for my facial is at 9. I arrive theyre awaiting my arrival and again so very friendly and warm. Lilly was the one who did my facial. She was so positive and made the experience so relaxing and enjoyful. She was knowledgeable and gave me pointers on how to take much better care of my skin. Overall the experience with Lilly was positive and I highly recommend you have her do you facial. Now its time for my massage with Bernice.. Again she was very friendly and warm. Shel istened to what my problem areas are and did exactly what was need to help alleviate some of the constant pain Suffer with. She was too rough, she applied the right amount of pressure. My experience with Bernice was very positive and I highly recommend her as well. I left with glowing skin and feeling rejuvenated. All the ladies helped make my day extra special!!

I have been coming to massage envy for quite some time now. I started my membership with them for facials. I have been going to Olga for years and she really made a difference in my skin. I highly recommend anyone who is suffering from bad skin/acne to pay Olga a visit! It might be painful because of the extractions ( my skin is sensitive & I have low pain tolerance) but it is totally worth it!

Garden City ME was tranquil, clean, safe, punctual, and very affordable options will make it possible to return for luxuries like a massage! Massage by Argelis was amazing too! Been going here for over a year! I get a facial every month with Olga and today I got my second chemical peel! What a great feeling to have a person I trust making me feel beautiful! Thank you Olga and Massage envy garden city!

I really liked this place until my massager left. After that it seems like they didnt really care about me. They were very courteous but they kept canceling my appointments. The new massage person I had scheduled with had a lot going on and couldnt keep our appointments. One time they called me a hour before my scheduled appointment and told me I would be assigned another person. I just thought this wasnt good business so I left there and went with another company. But I finally found my original massager and now we have been reunited. Thank goodness.I have to update this as of to date which is Aprilv30th 2021. I went back to the Garden City location. My massage person is Argelis. He is great. I told him the problem and he took it from there. He will ask you if you want high, medium or soft to meet your needs and pin point the target muscle areas. I am well satisfied now. I have been back here for 1 year now and Im happy. Their covid 19 rules makes me feel safe and satisfied. I just get angry when the sessions are over because its very relaxing and rewarding. You wont be disappointed, make sure you ask for Argelis.Shout out to Argelis. Marilyn was a very experienced masseuse, great hands and a nice demeanor.One thing I would suggest is a NO phone policy. A woman in the lobby was on her phone and loudly laughing and speaking at a level so completely inconsiderate it was astounding. Unfortunately, that is a turn off in a place where you are supposed to decompress. No phones! People have no manners!!!

Had a bad experience a ME yesterday. Had a massage and facial appts. The massage therapist was late, so I rescheduled the appt and waited in my car until time for facial. This time the front desk staff forgot I was there. 20 mins later I approached the desk and was .brought in.Raquel was great., but I would have appreciated if she had asked me if I preferred she wore a mask.ME in Garden City NY. has totally abandoned safety precautions for Covid 19. I obversed1 staff member wearing a mask, no one took my temperature or asked if I had any symptoms. I am reconsidering going back there.

Had a massage last weekend. It was a little more intense than ones I have had in the past, however I felt so much better after the massage. It was a great experience. The only complaint I have is that the massage therapist must have smoked a cigarette prior to coming to work and I could smell it on her hands. Wasnt the most pleasant smell to have during this relaxing time. It did dissipate as more oil was used but when my face and shoulders were being treated thats all I could smell.

My son purchased a session online as a gift for me and i called to cancel since I dont feel comfortable with going right now. This is my second time going and I must say it they have been the best experiences ( especially since some people had negative things to say, I was a bit nervous going in). However, this place really is like heaven. They treat you like a queen here. They really spoiled me during my hour facial and after when my esthetician handed me a cold cup of water as I stepped out of my room. If you love being spoiled and pampered, this is the place to go!!

Beth went out of her way to accommodate me on one of her usual days off. She is always quick to find (and massage out) the many trigger points in my upper back and shoulders. Definitely recommend.

I especially liked that Raquel told me that my massage time would start after I had the chance to undress and position in preparation for my massage.She pointed out the time on the room clock before my massage started, and again when my treatment was completed.

Everyone was very nice and the service was excellent. They start off talking to you about what you want done, they make suggestions, give advice. Then they show you around and introduce you to the person that is going to be taking care of all your needs. Very clean place. Everything is sterilized. Then for after your treatment they have items you can purchase to keep up with your treatment

Rachele gave me an awesome facial and although she said she does not give massages also I left there not only with a fresh clean face but with my neck and shoulders feeling so relaxed. She was wonderful

Beth K is an amazing massage therapist. She can use any pressure you desire, from firm to gentle. Every movement of her hands is meaningful. There are no fluff movements just to fill time. The rooms are always meticulously neat and clean and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional.

If I can give negative stars I would. I booked 2 facials and 2 massages. The facial was great with Dana but massages were horrible. I didnt even allow the man to finish. It was not a massage it was a back rub. He left a soaking wet towel on my back. My husband had a horrible massage as well. Horrible. Thank you for ruining my birthday Massage Envy!

My massage only lasted for 45 minutes even though they advertise 1-hour. During the massage, they do not cover your eyes while you are on your back. The music was so low and I could hear so many conversations going on and I couldnt relax. Massage was not that great, more of a sports massage than a therapeutic massage. Went to Olga for a facial and she did an amazing job. I would go back just for the facial not the massage at all. Also, the front desks girl is rude.

Olga is the best and I personally have to thank her for saving my face from destruction. I must also say she had single handedly saved Massage Envy from loosing a client. I have had a membership for years but never found the time to go in with being a new mom and work. When COVID hit I stated working from home and the stress of being a teacher to kindergartner and 2nd grader was added and my skin started to show the stresses. I decided to start using my membership for facials and immediately saw a difference. Now I can’t walk down the street or have a meeting without someone complimenting my skin. Thank you Olga. I highly recommend Annalisa at the Garden City ME. I have pinched nerves in my neck and shoulder and have been going for 10 years to either pt or massage. Pre COVID I found Massage Envy and was lucky enough to find Annalisa. She is super attentive and gets to the problem and/or injury. She joyfully makes it her mission to find your knots and make you feel like you have a new neck or body part. She has a very firm hand, which I prefer, to get to the problem area. I have seen her recently during COVID and find the facility super clean and the ME employees are all masked up. Annalisa has made me feel comfortable during this pandemic and is a delight to have a conversation with during the massage, or to allow you to enjoy a quiet experience. The fact that she books up super quickly is a testament to her skills. Annalisa rocks!

The massage was not bad a bit hard at timesMy main issue was the my appt was for 60 minutes and should have began at 1:15 however my therapist came to get me from the waiting room at 1:30pm and ended the massage at 2:13pm. The process felt rushed therefore I couldn’t relax as I needed to and I was not given the full hour I paid for

The one star is for the nice staff. 2 problems: 1. They have to lay off the massive oil diffusers, the smell burned my lungs and i was so dizzy because of the strength of them (migraines & mild asthma) not everyone likes or can be around them. 2. My “body massage” - my whole body wasnt even massaged, nor properly. I have a neck injury which i relayed so i just needed to relax. I felt like i was at Physical therapy (which i go 2x a week) because she was twisting and stretching my neck in ways it shouldn’t have at the end. The intention was nice but when a client says theres an injury that twisting motions is decreasing bloodflow to heart & brain, dont do above your job description. I just wanted to leap off the table & not be rude but i can never walk in there again. I should of requested a refund but we all know how that would worked out. Ive been to many massage places before and i cant believe she even missed my back! Thats where they all start. I get better massages from my fiance i dont know what the hell she was rubbing. I felt like i was being pet, So awkwarddd. No thanks, that “relaxing” visit could of been dangerous to my health.

I called and made an appointment two weeks ago for tonight for my daughter and my self. We get there the 30 minutes early like requested and to only find out the the person who I spoke to on the phone never made my apt!!!!!!!!!!! Worst attitudes from the two very hood like girls behind the desk. Went in to purchase a gift card for someone. It looks nice and inviting. The girl at the counter was extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Almost made me say screw the gift and just get myself a massage. They have many locations which is why I purchased from here.

Went for a couples massage. Had a 12pm appointment and got there exactly at 12pm because the lady on the phone failed to mention that paperwork and check in could take ten minutes. After paperwork we waited for another 7 minutes before heading into the massage room. Felt extremely rushed and once it was done we realized that instead of a 50 minute massage that we paid for, we only received a 35 minute treatment. Found out after we were done paying that since we didnt arrive ten minutes before the appointment, they TOOK TIME OUT OF OUR MASSAGE WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. had they told us that they were going to give us a shorter massage, we would have rescheduled. Horrible customer service. Have been to many different massage envy locations and this has never happened to me.

This location is okay -the front desk girls were nice and friendly and the place is clean BUT stay away from getting a massage from STANEY. I am not a newbie to massages, having been getting them for over 35 years. Stuart asked what kind of massage I wanted – I stated “Head to toe relaxing massage”, when he asked if I had any area I wanted worked on – again I replied – “Nope, just a head to toe relaxing massage”. I got anything but relaxing. First of all – he said is was using a combination of gel and lotion – that was complete bull – he used oil and lots of it. Gel and lotion work into the skin – oil stays on top. I now have stains on my clothes because I couldn’t wipe off enough of the oil when getting dressed. When I got home – I had to finally resort to Dawn dishwashing detergent in the shower to get the oil off my body (the 3 different soaps and shampoos I had in the shower didn’t work). If he had just said he wanted to use oil – I would have told him NO. Oil is not required to give a massage. Stuart decided that he was going to give me the massage that he wanted to give (completely ignoring what I asked for). During this 1 hour torture – I told him no less than a dozen time that he was hurting me. I know that I have tight muscle and if I wanted a deep tissue massage, I would have asked for one. This man needs to find another profession. I have NEVER had anyone massaging me say “this is going to hurt”. A massage should NEVER hurt. He doesn’t listen to the client, he gives a painful massage and uses way too much oil (which he was more than happy to get a hot towel in front of me to wipe off his hands and arms) and then had the nerve to tell me to be careful getting off the table because I had oil on my feet.

Wow wow wow! I can’t even believe how horrible my experience was here. I booked a couples massage for my husband and I. We were taken to the room and given instructions on how to prepare. When they came back in we were undressed and under the covers. This was our first time here, so ofcourse we had further questions as they proceeded to start the massage. I wasn’t aware that the oil they would be using would be cold, because ive gotten massages before and the oil has always been warm, so I was stunned when the masseuse slapped cold oil on my back. When I said, “oh wow the oil is cold!” She abruptly stopped, while leaving her hands on my back, and didn’t respond. So the and the other masseuse replied for her, because I gues the cat hit her tongue. After about 30-45 awkward seconds of her resting her hands on my back I asked her, “what’s happening?” I then laughed nervously and awkwardly because I’m face down, laying naked and I have no idea what’s going on. She then said, “I will no longer continue the massage!” Turned around and left the room, the woman massaging my husband stormed after her, my husband and I got dressed and headed to the front desk to speak to a manager. Guess what? There was no manager to speak to!!! It was a disappointment, a disaster, and her vibe/aura was DISGUSTING!!!!!!!

I think you should have complimentary bottled spring water available for each client. Water is essential after every good massage. My last spa offered cucumber infused water. With the advent of the Corona virus I think bottled water is a responsible alternative.

Very dissapointed with the massage. the good reviews on here about the massages are def false except for one and the rating should of been much lower. And sorry its not even a sports massage its horrible. And yes it was less then an hr. But let me tell u there receptionist were great and friendly they need to work somewhere of quality unlike the massage therapist. so since this is a review about the massage its worse then one star honestly. Unprofessional and completely unknowledgable. I came out of it in even worse pain for the past month until I went to real massage therapist ive always went to.

So sunday was my anniversary, and i got a couples massage for me and my husband . I have pre-existing injuries that i conveyed to my massage therapist. She was a really nice person , but that was the worst massage i ever experienced. It is tuesday , and the back of my neck , head, shoulder, and back is hurting so bad. My jaw feels like someone punched me in it . The injuries in my neck feel 10x worse , i worked monday and i do not even know how i got through the day , it was horrible . That was the roughest most brutal deep tissue massage i ever experienced. The whole time i was wondering if she would probably snap my shoulder off. My neck is more tighter and restricted than ever before. My husband also reported there was nothing relaxing about that massage, and it was painful for him as well. I am sorry but i will never come back to this place again. I am in so much pain, and the tightness from my neck has given me a constant headache since sunday night, i am so disappointed, and upset. It took years of physical therapy to help give me some relief and i feel like i am now right back where i started.
