To begin with, this is a local small business and I love supporting local small businesses. Everybody there is so friendly, the minute you walk in you’re not only greeted by the receptionist, but other employees as well. You are always offered water (which is a huge plus living in Arizona), and are treated like you’re apart of their family. After your first visit you are greeted by name as if you have been going there for years.I started going to Empower nail salon and spa a few months ago to get my nails done. I see Denise or Jeannie any time I go in for my nails. Both of them are absolutely incredible when it comes to acrylics and designs. No matter how simple or complex the idea is, these ladies can make it come to life. They are caring, compassionate, patient and creative and have never let me down. I’ve shown up with colors, themes, and empty handed and these girl always amazing me with their work. I have never once been disappointed in the quality or creativity.Empower also offers additional services besides just manicures and pedicures. They recently launched the Japanese head spa as one of their new services. I finally got the try that out for the first time and it was more than anything I could ever expect. Wendy did my first ever head spa and she was amazing. Wendy started off by asking how I liked my water for the head spa and also wanted to know the pressure I preferred for the scalp, neck, shoulder massages and facial. Throughout the treatment, Wendy was the perfect balance of allowing me to relax and enjoy everything while also making sure that I was comfortable, relaxed, and ensure she was using the right amount of pressure. Without going into great detail and step-by-step of what Wendy did during the Japanese that made it so remarkable , all I can say is it was perfection and I will definitely be going back.I highly recommend checking out this small business and supporting them as they are friendly, compassionate, high quality and always make you feel like you’re their VIP.

Had a great experience today! Tom did my pedicure and full set. Not only did he do a great job, he was a joy to spend a couple of hours with. I highly recommend!

I usually have Denise and Genie do my nails. I have been coming to empower for almost a year now and will not go anywhere else! I have had my lashes and nails done here and highly recommend. I love talking with Genie every time I come as well, she gives such great customer service and truly loves her clients. If you’re looking to be well taken care of and understood, this is the place for you! I always love the way my nails turn out and I appreciate the care they put into making a relaxing experience for their clients. Love Empower Nails!!

I had Cindy, she did absolutely amazing, I couldn’t understand her right away and she was very patient with me and understanding. I showed her a picture and she executed it perfectly! I would recommend this place, my sister had Denise and loved her as well! 10/10!!!! Very affordable as well! Most places I would pay almost 90 dollars for this

1st time here since I moved from Gilbert. I had an awesome nail lady out there so I was super nervous coming here. I had Cindy do my nails and Quin do my toes. They did AMAZING! They were all super nice including the manager Denise! A little pricey but worth it 😍 I will definitely be back.

I HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND this nail salon! Had my nails done today. Linh did a lousy horrible job in cleaning my nails! She seemed to not be very experienced in doing nails and she was in a rushed to get it done! It’s basically just the massage I give her a little credit on, otherwise her overall service is poor! The price I paid for was not worth it and I regretted giving her a $10 tip

The staff is absolutely wonderful and offers a variety of beauty treatments. I got a pedicure with massage, paraffin wax, gel color, and hot rocks. Would definitely again.

Sally did great work with my 9 & 7 year old. Very patient and had a good conversation with them. Van did great work on mine. We all 3 got basic manis will come back for pedis.

Second experience was worse than the first. My nails broke day 2 of having them. I requested a refund or repair because what? She refused a refunded and demanded I let HER redo my nails. What. Again? After some back and forth I regretfully let her redo my nails from scratch. Bad idea. Ive never had a acrylic nails do this before and Im confused on how she managed this. Never going back and disgusting the charge

Price discrepancy issues. I was told $15 to remove gel nail on my natural nails. Okay great, I just wanted naked clean nails. During the process I asked if the take off included filing or if it was similar to a manicure. She said yes. I leave to pay and my total is $28. Huh? Why wasn’t I told there was an additional charge just to slightly file them? Annoying. I tipped and left. Overpriced for gel removal with no polish or anything or heads up on price difference.

Love the ladys here. Always so nice. Best pedicure ever.... always great fun nails.

Had a very bad experience had my nails done by a man there. He used unclean nail file all of his tools were filthy. He got nail polish on my hand Wich he filed off .Then he put oil on that had gone ransid it smelled awful. This hole experience was just a joke . Very Very dirty work space . I wouldnt even really give it a star hes not trained.

I have been a client since the new owners took over 4yrs ago. Under their care, the business has grown and morphed into a wonderful neighborhood retreat with a full range of massage and facial options. The ambiance is soothing, the decor tasteful, they employ a full-time cleaner so everything stays spotless, and they speak in hush tones to make the entire experience restful.

They are nice but they dont have that many colors.. I just wanted a pearl color on my nails and toes. But they didnt have it. So I did an off white with a glitter topcoat but it looks dingy. Plus the lady I got rushed my nails so they are sloppy. I just want to find a good nail spot..

Linh was both professional and attentive. The spa is relaxing and the technicians go above and beyond to give you what you want. I came in for my birthday and even got a 20 percent off discount. I’m visiting my mom from LA and this will be our new go to spot. 😊

Today was my second time visiting Empower Nails. My first visit was on a day where they were short staffed. But the manager Jeannie was able to take me anyways and do my pedicure. She did a great job, she took her time even though they were clearly in a bind that day. Today Tristian helped me with my pedicure and he even took some extra time to fix my dip manicure that I had gotten done else where and wasn’t satisfied with. He was friendly, accommodating and had won me over to make Empower Nails my now go to nail salon.

I saw Tiffany and she was really nice and super gentle which is a huge deal for me. I really appreciated that she cleaned my cuticles. My gel polish did start peeling off the next day which is a bummer, but i deal with this at most places I go so i’m convinced it has to do with my nails, or the fact that i get black polish.

I went in this evening with some pretty damaged nails, in my opinion, plus missing two fingernails! Genie took GREAT care of my needs and also had a pleasant conversation with her. I am happy with the come out!Update: 5.27.23Genie is still doing my nails about every 2 weeks, and I get lots of compliments on my nails 😃

Denise did hard gel and they look great. I did a full set with French and they were $65

I stumbled upon Empower Nails since it’s right by my hair salon. Michelle did my nails and did such an amazing job. After going to several places in the Goodyear area, I was super happy with the way they turned out. I got a dip manicure and Michelle nailed the almond shape that other salons struggled to perfect for some reason. I’ll be back!

Was welcomed when I went in and didnt have to wait too long to be put at a station. Very enjoyable pedicure with Tony. He took his time and did a great job with the art as well. Jeanine was very kind, and did an exceptional job reshaping and filling my nails for me. I was looking for a go-to nail shop who will greet their customers with a smile and listen to their customers and it seems I have found it! Would recommend this place and will be back to try out some different services they offer as well!

Lee is amazing! This is the second time I have been to her. I wish I had a picture of my last set. She does what I ask for and adds her artistic touch.

Ive tried a couple local nail salons and so far this is my favorite. It was clean inside and everyone was really nice. My nails turned out exactly how i asked for them. My daughter was happy with her acrylic nails as well. And they were really fast!

Excellent nail shop! I went in for a fill with a badly broken and painful ring finger nail. They agreed to do the fill but recommended I wait to have a new tip put on my broken nail due to the risk of additional injury or infection. The manager took great care of me and gave me a tip on my broken nail a couple of days later when my finger had healed. I really appreciated her concern. Other nail shops I have been to would just put a new tip on my injured finger without much concern for me. I definitely will be going back to this shop.

I’ve been trying to find a place near Pebblecreek that is consistent and good. Today was my 3 visit here, I called made an appt, asked for gel polish on toes with a pedicure, the gal that was working on me kept getting up doing things, next thing I know, I’m done with pedicure, regular polish, no gel. Now it’s time for dip on my nails, again seems distracted and now someone is there for an appt with her, so she’s rushing through my nails, they’re uneven and I had to come home and fix. I totally felt like I was rushed through and not comfortable… WTH, why is it so hard to actually just take care of customers, I look forward to mani/pedi days, it’s supposed to be relaxing, me time…

I didn’t want to give a star, but, anyways I came in with my boyfriend to get pedicures for his birthday, I walked in and asked the women if they had time for 2 pedicures, THEY SAID YES. We’re both sitting in the pedicure chairs and he’s getting his feet done while I’m just sitting there with my feet still soaking. The lady that did his pedicure Sally finished his pedicure, got up, gave him the receipt and walked off to one of the two clients that came AFTER US. Another nail tech in there went to the other new client. Another nail tech went to someone that just walked in. NO ONE EVER CAME TO ME!! As I sat there and watched as they walked to the other new clients I put my shoes back on, grabbed my things, asked if I could pay for his pedicure and left. Will not return

Hello everyone,My mother and I had the BEST experience at this location. We had an appointment at 4:00 PM, we waited for 10 minutes, but thats only because of the holidays. Anyway, they were SUPER apologetic. My mother had Denise, I had Cindy, both phenomenal women! Overall, our experience/nails were great. 10/10 would recommend.

This salon is it! Theyre super easy to work with, kind, and clean. Their lobby manager Ethan (I think thats his name 😅) is awesome! Super kind and professional, made everything easy to handle. The lady that did my nails was quick and neat. She also explained why she was doing things to me. Ill definitely be coming back to this place!

I came back after a bad experience I had in December. I love coming here and I’m glad I decided to give them another chance. Jeannie the manager was super accommodating and understanding to my last experience. I had Trong do both my pedicure and power dip set. He was so attentive and made me feel so relaxed. Such a great experience for my daughters and me. We will be continue to come back to see both Trong and Cathy.

Want to start out with Jeannie is great. She usually does my nails but today I was with someone else. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. I got a pedicure and a dip done. The person doing my nails was kind. Unfortunately the dip did not go as planned. I prefer dip to gel because it does not chip on me. Jeannie helped out and fixed it by putting a gel polish on top and I walked out happy. Unfortunately the gel polish did chip a bit on one nail and my toes as well. My toes were regular polish so I know it doesn’t last. Overall would/will still return.

Pretty Nails & Spa has undergone positive changes. I understand there is a second Pretty Nail salon so please note that I am reviewing the salon that is north of I-10 in the Papa Johns strip mall, close to Virginia Avenue. The new owner Jeanie is very personable and welcoming. She genuinely wants every customer to have a great experience. The new remodel gives the salon an inviting and relaxing atmosphere, and the little touches like bottled water or a small dessert gives an extra touch of thoughtfulness. They have updated their polish collection with more color variety. Katie is a master at gel nails and pedicures. She is detailed oriented, friendly and takes pride in giving you the best service. I have been going to Katie for years and never had a negative experience with her. I highly recommend Pretty Nails & Spa!

I went in for dip powder nails--called first to find out if they offered it because I didnt see it on their list of services--and am very pleased with the way my nails look. Jeannie worked on them and was so sweet. My nails had been a disaster from two bad dip experiences I had at another salon and she took great care to do it right. She had some great suggestions to try for shape and color next time. All of the technicians were very professional and the place is clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. Ive definitely found my new nail spot and I highly recommend it.

Extremely overpriced. I stated that I had little knowledge of nails, so the nail lady who did my nails gave me the wrong shape (but I didn’t know). I asked for a square shape, but instead she gave me a coffin shape, which is more expensive. She then proceeded to charge me extra for the coffin shaped nails. I asked her why she didn’t shape my nails the way I wanted her to, and she ignored me. It was really hard to understand her as well, and the store smelled bad. My nails came out terrible. The polish was old, and she put the polish on terribly. I will not be coming back. Very disappointed.

Here’s the thing three stars for me is average. I will be back again just not rushing there. My first set was a dip powder on natural nail. It was great but they were all over the place. 4 people did my nails that day. When I went back I got dip done again and it came off in a week ( not supposed to) and was rigid with hills and valleys. So I’ll be back but with reservations.

What an amazing experience! I had the coconut pedicure with Katie...luxurious! All I can say is WOW! My legs were smooth for a month. Also, I finally got relief from pressure of a stubbed big toe. I went to another salon for repair, but it did not work. Katie restored my toe to perfect condition and I can now wear shoes again!! Haven’t had any problems since. I highly recommend this salon. The ladies (and Ethan) were so friendly.

Sat down in the chair at 4:05 and by 4:35 polish was on. $43 for a pamper me pedicure there was no pampering whatsoever! The lady was in a big hurry and was worried about getting to the girl who wanted a manicure. Had to take the towels off myself because they were cold. I understand sitting in the chair waiting for your toes to dry but come on check on your customer and see if they are doing ok. First and last time coming here what a disappointment after reading the reviews.

I was a customer here prior to the pandemic and then when everything shut down, I started doing my own dip nails. Once the pandemic (or at least the restrictions) eased up, I came back. I’ve had my nails done by Cindy, Sally, Denise, and the manager Jeannie. I started only booking my appointments with Jeannie about two months ago. These ladies do beautiful work.So, why the two star rating? Because the last time I had my appointment with Jeannie, I received a call from her thirty minutes before my appointment time, and she asked if I was still coming to my appointment. Mind you, this was 30 minutes BEFORE my appointment and before the business was open. During that call, Jeannie asked if I had remembered that I had agreed to come in earlier during a call she had made to me earlier that week. I told her that she had not called me and that we had in fact spoken about my appointment, via text, but it was solely to confirm my appointment with her at 10. She then asked if I could come in earlier and I said sure, if you need me to come in earlier, no problem. I got there earlier than my original 10am appointment with her. While Jeannie was working on my dip manicure, another customer walked in and Jeannie also attended her. Jeannie tells the customer that she arrived early and the customer states church had let let out early. Jeannie then asked the client to sit down and while my hands were soaking in acetone, she tells the other customer “oh you got here early and she got here late.” She, meaning me. Which was incorrect because I had gotten there earlier AT HER REQUEST. Additionally, I found Jeannie’s actions rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and distasteful. And Jeannie is the manager/owner so it’s not like I could ask to speak to the manager because the manager herself disrespected me. Jeannie did end up saying towards the end of my appointment that she appreciated the fact that I was accommodating, however, the entire interaction itself, ruined the experience and the relationship so much so that I chose to go somewhere else for my manis and pedis.Some may think that one experience shouldn’t affect my opinion, however, I was a customer here for quite some time and I’ve seen the double bookings happen before. I’ve seen techs come in late and fall behind on appointments. Again, the techs do a great job. Even Jeannie does a great job, however, being thrown under the bus like that to ANOTHER customer by the manager herself AND trying to make a customer think that a conversation happened that didn’t, is not okay. I wish them all nothing but the best but this customer, is gone. Good luck to all potential customers/clients.

I only ever get pedicures here, which are usually great (thank you Sally and Judy!), but my usual nail tech was unavailable and I decided to add a full set to my visit this time. They overbooked multiple people and asked me to come back later for the secondary service. Upon return, Denise was 10 min late to seat me. I was then made to wait an addtl 10 min before acetone was placed on my nails for gel removal. I was then ignored with acetone on nails for approx 40 min with no communication or attention from anyone. Only upon announcing that I no longer wanted my nails done was I told that the reason I was waiting was because only Denise was equipped to do the specific type of nail set I wanted. No prior communication about this. Another woman also walked out before me because Denise double booked her as well. I will not be returning, not even for my pedicures. Communicate better and stop double booking.

So bad I used to love coming here until the women who did my nails kept hurting me so much and made me bleed. During my pedicure she scrubbed my feet so hard they are still recovering, they were scrubbed so hard they are now dry and the skin is trying to repair itself. Wont come here again and they raised the prices significantly…THEY ALSO PUT THE TIMER ON FOR “massage” and step away for 2 mins of my time….EDIT. Don’t know her name but she was the oldest woman working.

They are always kind, professional, friendly and the best. My hands and feet have never looked better.

Had Sally do a pedicure and she was able to remove my buried toenails with ease and care. She was amazing and funny. Had Cindy do a new set of acrylic nails with gel and she was patient and careful with my nails. Overall great experience. Best nail place in the area. Will continue to visit it.

Have been coming here for years and years. Sadly, I am now concerned. I find the facility floors dirty, almost filthy, and that isnt good. It did not used to be this way. I have contemplated going elsewhere as a result. It doesnt take much to ensure the floors are scrubbed around the base of pedicure chairs and the bathrooms cleaned properly. They are expanding so I hope they pick it up when the construction is done or I will be going elsewhere.

I really enjoyed having my nails done here. Its a nice place, pretty on the inside. I was a walk in on a week day afternoon and was able to be seen promptly. The person that did my nails did a great job. Everything was very clean and I was very happy with my experience here.

Ive been going to pretty Nails and Spa for 2 months now and really love it. Gennie and the girls all take great care of you, the place is clean, the polish colors are glorious... Im using new colors Ive never used before. Ill continue now that Ive finally found my nail shop. (Just been in Arizona for 9 months its been a long search).

My daughter found this spot for her eyebrows and pedi and recommended we come here for my granddaughters birthday and her FIRST full set and pedi and we did. I have found my new spot!!! Jeannie and the ladies there are so nice and welcoming. She stated they are new management and the atmosphere was very clean and nice. I will be back for MY own spa days of pamper. Jeannie was amazing! My mom went in with a very specific idea in mind and she brought it to life! She did an amazing job on an ombré powder nails for her! I would also highly recommend the coconut pedicure (especially while it’s 20% off!).

I used to go here a lot before the pandemic. I even chose them for my daughters wedding party mani / pedi visit a few years ago. I would have given a five star. BUT, the first time back, when one of my nail techs took my soaking bowl (which I used for both hands) and used it on the customer next to me...without cleaning or using new water OR cuticle solution, I was shocked! In these days of sanitizing EVERYTHING...to watch her use the same water for a different client is just disgusting! As friendly and nice as the staff are, Im pretty sure I wont go back.

Wonderful customer service from Jeannie! She was so helped and found the exact color I was looking for. My nails are beautiful, she made sure I loved the shape & color. I will never go anywhere else!

Pretty Nail & Spa is the place to go get pampered and get your nails done. Denise is amazing!! She took the time to do my nails. Definitely satisfied with the finishing product. Pleasant experience and great environment.

Well I can’t say how the services is at this salon. I’ve lived in Goodyear 4 years and recently moved into a house close to this salon. I thought it would be convenient but I guess my “type” was not welcomed. I walked in, no greetings, no one asked to assist me, they pretty much just stared at me. I walked to the side to see if anyone else was there to help and they all just looked at me. I eventually walked out sadly, the discrimination I’ve been seeing lately is ridiculous and I quite tired of having hurt feelings leaving establishments

If I could give 0 stars I would , they are extremely overpriced , I got a full set a week ago and all my nails are gone , terrible acrylic. I felt like I was being rushed the whole time why would I pay so much money to loose all my nails .

This is a mixed review thats the reason for the rating is in the middle. The first visit was good and i was very happy with the customer service and the nails I received but the second time I visited, 2 weeks agoI had Dennis as my nail technician she did okay but was completely distracted buy the other customers to the point I had to ask her to fix my nail shape. I would give them another try but i dont think Id want anyone but the owner jeanie i belive he name wa to work on my nails.

It was ok, this was my first visit. The manicurist seemed rushed, she was checking ppl in, watching the other manicurists like a hawk!, literally running after clients whom she THOUGHT didn’t pay, and answering the phone all while doing my pedicure.I would try them again but I would prefer a different manicurist.

Called for a 3 pedicure appt. They said 20 minute wait, I said okay. We showed up after 20 minutes and was told “now it’s an additional hour because of appts” I said well that’s why I called to make the appt. No excuses. Communicate. Monitor your books. Appts should come before walk ins.

Sally the tech was amazing even though it had been a while—— and there was a lot of work to be done. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax and take care of there neglected areas; and I’m speaking to you men. Ask for Sally or Katie they are the best!

They did my whole wedding party of 8 in 2.5 hours. Amazing service and beautiful nails , 3 weeks later the polish still hadn’t chip on our toes and our acrylics hadn’t broken or fallen off! Absolutely recommend!

Went there with my sister to get new set and rebase . I was asking about how much certain nails and designs would cost and I believe his name was Tony was getting very rude and had an attitude. I decided which nails I wanted and They tried charging me 60$ for mine and 45 for my sisters we kept asking if we could leave and they told us no and we didn’t want to be rude so we didn’t just walk out . my Sister kept asking for shorter nails and Tony told her they are fine where they are and proceed to do her nails . They were not the shape nor length she wanted and asked for . Then they proceeded to tell me I could have the dark blue nail polish I wanted that I picked out . They finished my nails and I went to pay and told them to stop working on my sister because we are leaving they tried to charge me for a full set with polish for my sister and she didn’t even have polish on . Then I called in 10 mins later asking for a refund they told me no . Then I said I need my refund or else bad reviews will be coming their way and they will lose mine and my family’s business they said they didn’t care and hung up . Went to glamour nails to get them fixed and they took such good care of us. Will never be going to pretty nails again . Glamour nails is the place to go if I could give this place 0 stars I would.

I ask for long nails but my right hand weren’t long and completely different sizes then from my left hand, and definitely not the smoothest. I asked for the letter J w rhinestone but the J looked as if I did it myself. The lady even noticed the length difference but tried to shorten them more so I asked her not to. I’m not the type of person to make a big deal or complain and ask for a discount or to make the situation harder so I just payed and left but definitely wasn’t satisfied

This place is very pretty. However no technique, I didnt feel relaxed even though its nude inside and music should be soothing. I felt RUSHED! Dont sit with the guy. I actually ended up yelling him to stop and just paint my nails. I could tell he had no interest in doing a good job...

Best manicure Ive had in Phoenix. Also waxing which was equally good.

This place is okay for nails. Like most salons, they dont engage in conversation at all. A bit unfriendly.

Horrbile place! I told him I want my nails square he made them round. And he didn’t even let my nails dry he made me get up like that and my daughter stepped on them they smudged all up.

I had leftover acrylic on my nails. They didn’t soak it off. Just used grinder and left my nails lumpy. Looks horrible
