TLC Day Spa

Terrible experience @ at TLC spa and felt compelled to warn others before they waste their $$ here. My appointment for myself and my daughter was for 2:30pm for two dip powder manicures with tips and we didn’t walk out of the salon until 5:30pm.My daughter’s nails turned out fine and were done by a younger girl who was very nice but mine were done by the owner and the results were horrendous. These pics were taken the day after I got them done…. My nails were left bumpy, uneven and looked awful…. Clearly not done with any care or skill.To add to the frustration, I paid over $110 for this after being offered a 10% discount for “having such a long wait”…. The experience was both a waste of time and money.

My stylist repeatedly tried to get me to choose something different than I desired, and did not fully inform or consult with me about a variety of relevant tidbits. Her product had gone bad, which she realized after the gel top coat dried and I pointed out how weird it looked. It left large mounds of hardened gel on my nails. She said its too late to start over which I understand, but Im not sure why it was ok that she left without informing anyone on staff of the issue, and I had to advocate for the tiny discount the salon gave me. The hand that dried before I saw and called out the issue started chipping within two days, and the nails look disgusting because the thick gel is apparently peeling more readily than the other hand that got better product, and all sorts of dirt and cooking ingredients are getting under the top coat as I go about my business. agreeing to a minute discount, the person in charge, from across the room suggested that they looked good from over there. Im apalled at their resolution to the issue. With my nails looking as gross as they do due to their mishap, a full refund and solution should have been offered. Im not even going to be able to trim my nails because of how thick the gel is, without first sanding down the top coat.

I haven’t gotten my nails done in a long time. I had forgotten how awesome it feels. We had excellent service. Professional and very friendly. A beautiful, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Nails came out gorgeous!! Highly recommend. ❤️❤️

Only great experiences at TLC. Very relaxed, welcoming and everyone does a great job. I have brought a few friends there to get manicures and pedicures together :)

I treated my mom to a shellac pedi for her birthday today. She requested her normal person and did not get that person. When asked at the desk they had no idea why, even tho my mom called and specifically requested that person. My mom was not very happy with her pedicure. That is why she requested her normal person. The girl I had was nice enough but my calluses are still all there as well as dead, peeling skin. My toenails weren’t even trimmed to match each other. I was given a gift card to this location but forgot to bring it today…however after this I don’t think i will be returning, unfortunately. I paid $130+ for 2 shellac pedicures and was extremely disappointed. I have had a better pedicures for waaay less money. I actually made an appointment to have the issue fixed elsewhere. So just kind of sad because it was my first time there and also part of my moms birthday present. I feel like I should have spent my $130 getting her something she likes rather than something so underwhelming.

I love TLC Spa! Very clean, friendly and knowledgeable with nails and products. I receive shellac or gel manicures and pedicures with scrub here often from Ali and they are always the best! Gel manicures had typically last about 10 days for me at other places. At TLC with Ali it’s usually 2 weeks or a little more before they need to redone! Thank you, TLC Spa!

My acrylic nails started breaking and falling off long before I even needed a fill. They popped off like stick ons from the 80s. The salon accused me of wanting a free service when I called and told them. I spent $120 on myself and daughter (gel nail polish for her) and 4 hours. Ive been wearing acrylics for 25 + years and choose them for the longevity. Ive had my acrylic nails last 6 months at the worst salon. These lasted 2

I received a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage and a pedicure. Theres 2 massage rooms, and they are right next to the area where pedicures are done. Although the massage was relaxing and exactly what I asked for, it was somewhat distracting to hear other people talking in the other room the entire time. The pedicure was very enjoyable, one of the better ones Ive ever received.Beautiful decor and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend a pedicure here.

Wow... I wish that we lived closer to this place. Best pedicure that Ive ever had. The staff is well trained and friendly. The equipment is properly cleaned and maintained (this is a big one for me). And the whole atmosphere is that of a place that would be two to three times more expensive. This is how businesses should be ran. Loved it.

The staff was very very friendly. The facility was clean. However, I spent about $100 and it didnt even last a week and a half. My shellac nails were chipping off and the gel nails underneath were popping off. Recovering from surgery, I have barely done anything so there is no justification at all besides poor quality.

Highly recomend TLC spa!! My friend and I went in for the first time yesterday (Sunday) a treat for her birthday. After reading reviews and looking for place to be pampered (manis and pedis) we found one and they did not disappoint!This place was wonderful the massaging new chairs, the cleanliness (the tools they used were in wrapers so they were brand new), the service, even the ambience the music was so peaceful and the design of the building was just gorgeous!The staff was so friendly, kind, and the best part was you didnt feel like they were talking about you in another language! They spoke english almost the whole time.You did not feel rushed either the massage on the feet (my friends favorite part) for her was nice and long! (she knew what she was doing) Mine however was rushed cause a different lady did mine and she barely touched my feet when massaging just my legs but my feet were smooth and painted well. Now they are a bit pricier then most regular not as nice salons but for the quality of service down to a massage and mummy wrap for your feet you can not beat! Our skin was soft and our nails were gorgeous!!We did call in last minute and were late getting out but they did not mind! They were so sweet and the owner finished my friends mani so she could have one for her birthday even though it was late! Again the price is not expensive but it is up there in price. To me though it is so worth it for the quality of service and work you get!!

Excellent job. They have a friendly staff and I have always left there feeling great. Nothing like a manicure and pedicure to make you feel wonderful. That’s what you get at TLC Nails and Spa.

All the ladies here are absolutely wonderful. They are so nice, clean, and professional. I got a massage (the therapist was wonderful and listened to exactly what I needed worked on) and my mani and pedi were so nicely done and look beautiful. Thanks for a relaxing day and making it a great experience!

First time there and had a half hour massage. Was wonderful and relieved the tension in my neck and shoulder. Theresa was fabulous and i highly recommend her. Reasonable prices for wonderful service. Thank you! Very clean and pleasing ambiance.

My absolute favorite nail salon in town. I moved to the NE side and still drive out to Cascade periodically to go here. The cleanest spot in GR, the nicest techs and Ive never had a bad Mani/pedi.

My girlfriend and I just moved here from Northern California and never thought we would find such a classy spa like this here. My girlfriend went inside and found her new favorite place. This is the highest quality spa experience you can find in Michigan. Resort quality spa treatment!

I got a French tip manicure. Although they had been very friendly I was not satisfied. My Nails had lots of white streaks where the girl forgot to, or whatever the case was suppose to clean up. Also it chipped within that WEEK, It was shellac!! That shouldn’t happen!!

This was my first time at TLC and I was very impressed. My technician was very tentative. The only reason I am giving a 4 star instead of 5 was due to the fact that the heater on the spa was broken so when the water cooled down they just filled a bowl with warm water and placed it into the spa. It made it more difficult for me to say that I wanted the water warmer when it cooled down again throughout the time I was there.

They stated that they do prenatal massages on the phone. My fiancé is 22 weeks pregnant and they did not have beds to accommodate pregnant woman and only had her laying on her back and stomach. The oil they used was rubbed all in her hair causing her hair to be greasy when leaving. They also rubbed it one her face causing her to break out in a rash. Instead of feeling more relaxed, she was the opposite and really sore that night and the day after.

The esthetician missed so much hair and then the secretary asked if the esthetician was going to charge me for fixing what she missed in the first place after I came back later that night. A full leg includes your upper, inner, and backs of thighs and she just assumed I didnt want that done, no apology period. Im so dissatisfied for paying 60$ for a full leg wax, I would not recommend this Salon to anyone.

Tlc is the only place I would get my nails done. Everything is clean, the nail technicians are all nice and take their time to do your nails. The owner is nice, she cares about customers & quality.

We had a couples massage on our anniversary!! The staff was friendly and caring, nice clean relaxing place with reasonable prices.

Got a pedicure here and was delighted by the staff! The service and selection of services was great. Price was good too!

I love this place! They give the best pedicures Ive had and I am a very particular and picky person when it comes to my toes :-) I highly recommend them.

If you are looking for the nicer nail studio, go here - not the typical bare bone nail place as there are so many of here. Love the ambience, massage chairs and staff speaking English.
