I was visiting from Texas and weather was chillier than normal so I’m sure this place gets more lively during the summer.Con: They don’t have a food menu but you can bring outside food in which I thought was a bit odd but it worked. The place next door had really good pizza by the slice.l and is only a few steps away.Pro: The bartender Austin was awesome! He was super personable and attentive and had really good vibes/energy. Also, there was a live band that did a nice job and played a great variety.
One of our favorite spots in Pensacola. Right off the strip, lots of frozen drink options! They even have a couple alcohol- free drinks. Love music. Beautiful View. Beach Access right out the back porch!!!
Honestly. The server we had ignored us multiple times and she took upwards of 20 minutes to give us fresh beers. She was talking to her friends the whole time. She had a birthday sash on and trust me it was not because it was busy there was maybe 8-10 people at the bar at that time.
The chicken tenders were overcooked. The customer service at the bar area was average. I was waiting to be served while the server carried on her conversation with a former customer. I had to interrupt her conversation in order to get service.That was not cool. It was unprofessional. I dont plan to visit this establishment ever again.
Did not eat here but had several slushies. They have 20+ varieties so they’re bound to have something you’ll like. They even have cotton candy non alcoholic if you have kids in your group. Very large bar and seating area including the live music stage. Great location and attentive wait staff. Great views of the water. Will be back again!
Chris and Kellie were LOVELY. Just traveling through and the regular crowd at the bar were all so sweet, well behaved and had solid banter with the bartenders. They all accepted me as their own. If I come back to town, this will be a must on my agenda. Horseshoe Kitty also killed it.
My friend was refused service because he was assumed to be intoxicated, but he actually has a disability from a TBI which inhibits his speech causing stuttering and slurring, affects his stability and balance causing him to use a cane and leg brace which is visible and obvious. The bartender was rude, unapologetic even after we explained his condition, and never served my friend nor our group. We left but felt dejected and embarrassed like we were monsters.They were judgemental like we would scare the normal off from the bar.Despicable for the staff to refuse us even after we explained the condition and the visible medical devices my friend uses.
We stopped there last year while on vacation. We are on vacation again the first week of September. Our close friend are with us this upcoming trip and we plan to stop by and enjoy a good evening there.
Richard ensures the staff are up to snuff and that booze is stocked. Live bands top it off as a nice hangout. Locals love it more in the off season but thats expected.
We ordered one thing from the bartender. A double shot of Crown Apple with Sprite. Completely disregarded the order and made a double shot of Crown with Coke. Completely different. When my husband said he ordered it with Sprite, she immediately gave us a glass of Sprite. No apologies and still didnt get it right. Wasted $20 for nothing. She did not get a tip.
Best spot on the beach to grab a bushwhacker, plus lots of other options. Live music most weekends in season and kid friendly slushy options as well. And its conveniently located next to Hooters if you need to grab a bite to eat.

We stopped by to watch a local band (Stormfolk) who are so talented! We stayed for the drinks and bartenders. C.J. was especially awesome and hes especially good at making mocktails. Definitely going back
Fantastic! it was my first time in florida this week, and we decided to stop by here for something to drink. their blended drinks are fantastic; i recommend the blue angel and the pina colada. i will definitely be back with my slushy bottle koozie!

Nice little hangout. Kids are allowed on exterior of this open bar. Live music so check their Facebook page for line up. We saw Hired Guns and really enjoyed the music. There are a couple non alcoholic daiquiris if you want to get one for someone who doesnt drink or a kid(my granddaughter got the cotton candy one. Ask for a sample of one if you arent sure.

Looking for good adult slushees on a hot summer day? Then this is the place. I did a google search near me and Bamboo Willies popped up. Wow! Right in my local area and on the beach near shopping and other restaurants. Like Alvin’s Souvenir Shop and Hooters. So many flavors to choose from. This very trendy hot spot and bar serves up drink, beverages and smooth slushees. Right off the back is the beach. You can sit at the bar or facing the beach or take the steps and be on the beach sipping your cool concoction! Mix and match flavors and see what you come up with. We bought the souvenir cup and refills are at a discounted price. Also, I will be back tomorrow for more refills!!!
Went to see my friend play live music for the crawfish festival. Had a lb. of crawfish and a couple IPAs at Bamboo Willies. Nice open bar on the sound.

I am from Louisiana and its my 1st time in Florida... This has been a heck of a experience lol stayed 4 nights and on the second night I partied like a rockstar and was hurting for the test of the vacation lol had a great time here. Great people and awesome live bands. Will def be coming back in the future
I didnt order any food, but the strawberry daiquiri was good. The alcohol sneaks up on you, but it was worth it.
This is the most amazing bar ever. On the beach; slushies with koozies, and so many different flavor options. Not to mention you can get a refillable souvenir cup and the refills are cheaper, of course. Greatest idea ever. I will stop in every time I’m in the area and always recommend to anyone I know who’s traveling to Pensacola. Definitely one of my favorites from our trip. (PS: You can take them TO GO!!!)

Do yourself a favor and stop by Bamboo Willie’s and get yourself a Willie Wacker with a splash of 151 on top and I promise that you will walk out of there feeling much better than you did walking in! I love this place and I drop by as much as I can for a drink when I’m in town!
Older crowd (good people watching), fun cover band, quick on drinks and a nighttime must. Be sure to wear a jacket at night, because the heaters are lacking and its outdoors.
Absolutely delicious!! Drinks, on the beach, in closable bottle with a koozie, to go walk the boardwalk and enjoy!! We stopped in New Years Eve and these drinks were on point - stayed cold and so many flavors. Definitely try the Bushwacker and the Octane! We sat on the beach for hours, got refills for even cheaper second round, and enjoyed the fireworks and drank all night. Super good spot!! Also had live music all night! Two thumbs up.
Always a great place to stop in for a refreshing drink, Papas pizza is right across the way has the best pizza in Pensacola.

This bar featured the best nightlife close to Pensacola beach, and attracted other young people. Security was very present and helped keep the atmosphere clean. Had a great time and will return!

This is the 2nd time we have visited this place. We are not locals and just wanted a place to have fun and enjoy.The atmosphere feels very cold. The 2 piece band was doing very well and we honestly thought the last visit was just a bad day. We sat down on a round table and waited for a server. No signs saying anything about servers or other wise. I went to the bar and asked about service. I asked if they had waiters (Bartender said where are you sitting, ) I said and pointed to the direction then he was being very smirky and said we dont have a waiters. I asked him so do you have food , he said NO WE ARE A BAR.again in a smerky attitude. I then asked him if we order at the bar and he said you order here. Long story short we left as it did not feel welcoming for out of town guest. The reason I said out of town is because next to me 2 guys sat down and he was a happy camper and fist bumped then and thats when I just walked away. If he wanted our business he could of said we can serve you here and what would you like to drink but that did not happen.We walked away and it just feels like they have the local favorites and thats all they want. Very unwelcoming, cold environment. Nice presentation just bad service. Yes he was being a jerk.Went to flounders and the environment is alive and flourishing. Who doesnt want a cold Frozen daiquiri on a hot summer day? We went Labor Day weekend and we had a mixture of cloudy skies and some rain. We definitely enjoyed the band that was playing and so did the crowd. They just happen to have their Bathtub races the day we were there. Of course the weather could have been better but everyone still had a good time. Every time I go to Pensacola it is one of my To Go Places. I cant comment on the food cuz every time we went all we did was drink daiquiris. I also like the calm water at the beach there and can float on my raft for hours enjoying my drink.

Came on the weekend during lunch time, and we only saw 1 person inside which was surprising. I see why now. $21 for the worst pina colada and margarita. Margarita was watered down and just tasted nasty. I would not recommend.

The muscled up joke of a bartender was laughably terrible. Unfriendly, not attentive, and ignored us most the night. Then, he turned off the Draft in favor of really bad music. And when we asked why, he told us that the Draft was pretty much over once the 10th pick was in, and the people would rather listen to music. Even though he knew our team was picking. Thats cool. Us locals will hang out elsewhere. Shouldve stayed at Flounders. They always treat us well. I dont understand... its not that difficult to be a nice human. Weve gone to Bamboo Willies over the years... for sports. But honestly,Sidelines and Crabs treat us so much better, and their drinks are better, also. Totally recommend anywhere else on the Beach, besides this place.

Bamboos has been my favorite place on the beach for years! Excellent staff, excellent music/bands/shows. The atmosphere is second to none. I love that I can park my boat and hang out.
The bartenders tend to treat people of color with respect than they do others. Its not every bartender, but enough to make a complaint. Money is green no matter who it comes from. And their establishment cant survive without it. Black people spend just as much, if not more. Maybe its time to show them. Memorial weekend is coming. They hate the gays but love their money. Maybe this word should be spread even deeper

As a local, this is my go to spot on the beach anytime I want to get out and enjoy some live music and great drinks. The atmosphere is great and the staff have been nothing but amazing.
AILISUN was complaining VERY loud for a good ten minutes about how a table didn’t tip her more than 15%. Very unprofessional and made me feel unwelcomed as a server myself. She even mentioned how they left their card and jokingly said she would throw it away or add an extra zero. Very unprofessional.
Service would be better if you didn’t have to stare down the servers to get attention. The server with Chinese writing on her arm acts like a uneducated bimbo, doesn’t know what the place has to offers and throws attitude with just a question. Hire people who know about customer service and not just works there because its “cool”.
The service was not so friendly. Went to the bar to order a drink and the server was a bit rude . I had my shades on and got his attention to let him know I wanted to order , he ignores me then comes back to say could I take my shades off so he can see if I was talking to him while trying to make it a friendly joke . I order , he comes back with the ticket with shades on to Intimidate me from earlier about the shades, making smart remarks. Didn’t find that funny . It was my first time there on Mother’s Day and I will not be going back . I don’t deal with rude ppl whatsoever.

This place used to be awesome. Being locals and regulars watching my friends play music for years. The new sound guy is unfortunate and makes a great band sound less than what they are. And getting thrown out by security from our favorite place was upsetting. We were always welcome in the past, even by said security dude, to hang with our friends in the band and enjoy our evening. No more.

The staff is cool but the drinks are borderline terrible. However, the location and view is pretty great... This is definitely a tourist trap kind of place. $10 for a drink that tastes the way play-doh smells. It’s probably not bad for those who have low expectations for the quality of their alcohol.

Top notch frozen adult drinks, I always stop here. Never had a bad experience until last night. Manger Charlie rude and very obnoxious. Stood waiting to be serviced and no one help. I took matters into my own hand and walked behind the counter, interrupting one of the servers while having a personal conversation. The young man I walked up on, turn to me and looked away and continued to talk amongst the young lady on the other side of the counter. Once he finished his conversation. He then walked over to the other serves who were also having a full conversation amongst themselves. Shortly after they all disappeared, bring back a guy who was super rude. He advised me not to walk behind the counter. I expressed that I was waiting to get serviced but no one was help. I stood there waving my hand in the air attempting to get help before I decided to walk behind the counter to asked for help. Later on I learned his name was Charlie. He asked me would I go behind the bank counter... after hearing him compare several establishments to your company. I then asked does he not care that all the guys working were standing there talking having personal conversations instead of serving me. He then said it doesnt matter what goes behind this counter to never walk behind the counter. That they would assist once they were available. Wow, I have never had such a terrible experience. Totally unpleasant. He talked to be as if I did not mean anything.

Great spot. Location is fantastic. The slushie drinks are expensive for what you get and not that tasty. However, they are a full bar. The live music was good. Bartender was attentive and professional. When it gets busy the bartender is waiting on a lot 9f people so youre not going to get fast service.
My wife and I have been here twice now, and this place is one of our favorite vacation spots to grab a drink. There is a great view from the bar and balcony area. Also they have so many frozen drink options that its hard to not find something you like. They have live music at night which is a lot of fun, and people can dance if thats your thing. Just a fun environment

Absolutely the best place for a frozen drink!! There are so many flavors with my favorites being swamp juice and banana banshee, and for all of us Michiganders, liquid Marijuana!! Love that I could get a Michigan blue and maize koozie cup!! Chris was a fantastic bartender with great drink recommendations and he made our first experience there very enjoyable!
Went to our realtor’s customer appreciation crawfish boil, the crawfish were amazing and seasoned perfectly. Iv never had crawfish and couldn’t stop eating them because i always thought they had an odd taste, I learned that day. 😂💯👏

Cool place! The backside of the structure is open and overlooks the sand and the water. Nice dance area, although it is not a hardwood dance floor, is more like a deck. But still very nice. Raised stage so that everyone can see the band, great sound system! Was a little hard for me to find because I didnt see the sign, was trusting my GPS.
Racist, especially the manager. Came as a tourist to enjoy the beach side i dont carry my passport everywhere, so i showed my driver license from Mexico and straight out rejected it.

This was our first time to this Bamboo Willies! It was amazing! Any flavor daquan you can imagine or combine some to make your own flavor! They will give you samples too! They also offer a full bar!The bartenders are great and very attentive!Walk right down their back stairs and you are on the beach!We will definitely be back over and over!
Very much a dive bar, which is fine except that they didnt have any beer specials for happy hour. Go there if you like frozen drinks or the late night music scene. For beer there are better options. Good water views and decent strip of beach if you have kids in tow.
The man working the bar was very rude. I ordered a bushwhacker only to find it had a very off flavor. When I relayed to the man that it was unfortunately the worst bushwhacker I had ever had he promptly replied You dont like bushwhackers then .... I guess he doesnt like tips. The Pina colada I received to replace the nasty bushwhacker was only a hair better. The drinks taste like they were made with bottom shelf booze, off cheap flavor for the mixes as well
Quick, tasty, and a great way to cool down on a hot Florida beach. Great sound side beach if youre looking for a place to swim without the waves of the gulf, especially for families bringing younger kids.

Drinks are mediocre at best. Had a very poor experience with the 3 staff members I encountered. There is also no consistency when it comes to the rules of the bar. Some weekends they will have literal elementary schoolers around and other weekends will kick out a sober 20 year old (without a drink in hand) ... would not recommend. Try somewhere less ghetto!
Way to drop the ball on simple service. My wife came up to get one of the kids drinks for my daughter and your bartender (male, dark hair, scruffy) ignored them for 10+ minutes and finally one of the female bartenders noticed and helped her. First time with that poor service after numerous trips out there.

I love, love, love this place. Its located right on the beach which means you can drink and watch the beach happenings at the same time. Prices are economical and there is plenty of seating.This place is like Wet Willies in that they specialize in pre-made frozen drinks. For an additional $5 you can get a souvenir cup.When it rains, they have plastic pieces that come down the sides to keep the water out. Sometimes there is live music as well.
Fun atmosphere! We happened to go on the night that Shenanigans was playing, which was fun! Our drinks were a little more expensive than other surrounding restaurants & bars, but would definitely recommend going, especially if theres a live band.
Drinks were waterd down. Good location. No samples offered or given. No menus available. There are two sides with drink dispensers. They only tell you about one side. You have to physically get up to see what other flavors they carry on the other side. Very tip driven... service is trash. Close to the water.
Police were called after obviously intoxicated staff got involved in a customer reprimanding her child. Place is usually chill but was blown out of proportion that night. Would recommend not drinking on the job otherwise cool energy.

Wish I could leave less then 1 star. Person serving drinks (bar tender) was so rude. The entire place smelled bad. The drinks were terrible and literally filled the entire cup with ice just to barely put any actual drink in it. Every time I looked at the bartender he was biting his nails 🤮.

Ive been coming to this bar ever since it opened back in the day . Friendly bartenders , good drinks (never watered down) and great entertainment whether its a band playing or just watching sports on their TV screens located around the bar.
Terrible service or not enough help. Only 1 girl at the bar who was preoccupied juggling too many customers and one millennial chewing on a straw who didn’t greet anyone or ask to take any orders. We basically sat at a table in the shade for 12 minutes then left after receiving no menu despite 3 trips to the bar and asking for one... Hooters is just next door with great service! They actually want to make money!

Allright my beach brothers and sisters listen up! If you enjoy an atmosphere of flip flops, shorts, beach, frozen drinks, live music, and an amazing view; Bamboo Willies is the place to be! If you havent been there yet do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the frozen drink bar, by the stage, or overlooking the beach on the bay! You cant go wrong with your selection.
We have went several times and each and every time the band was good. The main bar is ok, when you can get to it. Do not go to the side bar, everytime we go to that one we never even get asked what we want hardly and when we finally get someone they make awful tasting drinks. If it wasnt for the side bar I would say more stars. I guess, just stay clear of it?
Willies is open, the weather is beautiful, drinks are cold and delicious. Pensacola Beach and local business need your support. Time the drive right and you will be here in no time. Get off the couch and spend some time at the best daiquiri bar in the area, you deserve it.
Great music entertainment make sure you try the frozen drinks before you buy tastes funky like maybe they dont clean machines or there using spoiled or expired mixes. Watch out for some of the locals they can be not so friendly or accomaditing to tourists. A local tried to start a bunch of drama for my friend and I trying to sit at a backside table that wasnt in use and there was no seating on a Saturday night. Pretty sad actually. My friend and I were there to have a good time and left early bc of it.
It was pretty dead for a Saturday night. The bushwacker drink was not good. The service was barely existent. However, they had pretty good live music. I will eventually give them another shot.
Love going here went as a date night. My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed this place the live music the atmosphere also the employees were very quick to get to us with our beverage orders many local drinks on the menu I must stop place for live music
The slushies are perfect on hot days and the band performing was great. I recommend the key lime slushie.
Awesome place to sit, have a slush and watch the ocean! You can watch people go parasailing and grab some food from some neighboring restaurants like Hooters, and papas pizza and eat it here (they have some extra tables here). you can sample the slushy flavors too to make sure you get what you like. Virgin slushees are an option also for little ones. Bartender was nice and gave us the scoop on where to eat (papas pizza did not disappoint!) Great for the whole family!
The drinks were awesome! I definitely felt the effect was worth the money but the selection is unmatched. Like a kid in a candy shop I wanted to try them all.
The same person that owns Hemmingways owns this restaurant and as I provided in my feedback of that restaurant is gracious enough to allow our church (Central Waterside) to use this restaurant as our alternate location for church service during thewinter months also at no cost.The decor is very casual and relaxed, the employees are extremely friendly and courteous, and its always kept extremely clean.

2018 visit: service improved greatly over 2017. look elsewhere to party and dance. music improved slightly over 2017 visit. Plan on being a part of the entertainment instead of being entertained. How bad was it? A bachelorette party lasted maybe 2 songs. Beach bar with a dress code? Really? Give shout outs to veterans and then kick their shirtless, shoeless butts out? What the hell!2017 visit: Place was dead compared to previous years visits. Maybe because Nannyism has invaded Pensacola Beach. Carding, Rude bartender and techno/instrumental music made for a very poor experience.
Great location if you can find parking. Overall cool place, live band was way too loud which made it painful to be in the same room. Drinks, especially draft beer (limited selection) was way too expensive ($6+) especially for an alcohol only bar.
This bar is located on the beach and they have a live band. My fiance and I really enjoyed listening to the band. We had a good time and will visit again whenever we are in town.
ALL THE BARS! We sat at the beach bar and watched an intense volleyball match. The bartender was nice and the drinks and food were good. Nice place to chill with friends on the beach for drinks.
Pretty good place to hangout and just drink, if thats what you want to do. It has a really chill atmosphere, and the ocean is right there to enjoy. Not great for kids, though, so a no for me.
Wow my friends got drinks at bar but I was already bushwacked up. The extremely kind waitress brought me a much needed glass of water and wouldnt accept a tip..The only negative was I wanted to tip her. Thank You will be back next time promise to get liquor water
It was super nice to be able to sit on the beach and relax with live music a comfortable atmosphere and over 42 different slashes on tap to mean it choose from really to the point that we had to keep hitting sample glass after sample class after sample glass If we ever go to Pensacola again he will absolutely be there
Great location with strong cheap drinks. They even let us bring our food in from the eatery across the boardwalk. The negative was the band that was so bad it was comedic, luckily they werent too loud.
This is a great spot if you wanna hear some decent tune, enjoy a frozen drink, and hang with your buddies. Gets a little tourist heavy during spring break and summer but still a good spot to chill.
There was only one person working mid-afternoon on Friday, 10/04/2019, but she was Excellent !!! The pre-mixed frozen drink machines were all full and spinning away. It was Hot and the idea of a cold Pina-Colada was so tempting, that we just had to try some. The flavor was wonderful. The only problem was that they were $6 Virgin coladas ( no rum at all )... Sad. We wont be back...
Band was good, but when you go from 80s rock to a double of Garth Brooks, you kinda lose me. Bushwhacker was great! Ladies room - very clean. 👍
Very slow service at the bar on a slow day .I would hate to see how slow the service would be on a busy day. Two drinks were 19.75 absolutely outrageous. The bar back was to concerned flirting with a woman at the bar to even acknowledge anyone else.
The Bushwackers were taste.

Loved this place!! The swamp water was hands down the best but the waiters there where kinda snobby except for 2. Everything else was fantastic! Plus the band was amazing!!
The is a bar not a bar and grill Great selection of Margaritas. Three different sizes to choose from. Small, medium, and large which is the souvenir cup. Overall great bar to go to near the beach and central Pensacola beach.
Terrible Service. Bartender took 30 minutes to serve us. It was just just us there. Also the male bartender could not make the drinks right.
Went 2 nights ago. Unimpressed by Charlie behind the bar. Not necessary. Not busy, 2 bartenders...bad vibe with that guy. Just left.
I really like the buschwacker. Ask foe an extra shot. Also 190 octane is great if you like potency with simple orange flavor. Staff is pretty crummy, but go for drinks and if ore them like they ignore you, lol

This Saturday, my wife and I were totally ignored at the counter of Bamboo Willies as we attempted to order drinks, then another couple approaches and the waitress served them as if we were invisible. I was very upset because we werent acknowledged at all. Shame on bamboo willies for doing this, you have allowed an employee with issues to hurt your business. I will be communicating this incident to everyone I know including including the BBB.
The drinks are delicious!! But how you get the same thing twice from two different bartenders and get charged 2 different prices, now thats just shady! That blonde girl is scamming people!

Always a party, always fun!! Open air allows you to enjoy the Live Music and enjoy the bea h and all the scenery! More frozen drink flavors than you can find east of Bourbon St in New Orleans.
Great place to get frozen drinks. I loved the Bayoy Mango and Bushwhacker. Im not a drinker, but these were good. Just enough kick to and flavor as well.

First time there. Had a blast with the band! Wish Id gotten one of the sports bottles to take home. Guess Ill just have to go back.
Great beach side hangout. Really good live music and great selection of drinks. No shortage of fun. The view of the sound side is beautiful.
