Great place to grab a drink and some food. Taco Tuesday special is the best. Their tipsy burger is 🤌. Their wings are legit 😋. Good selection of beers on tap 🍻. Waitresses are friendly and attentive! Ashley is the best. Definitely recommend you check out. Atmosphere is calm on weekdays, might get a little packed on weekends but definitely worth a visit.

Came back again from the last time abt 8months ago brought my husband to try the food here for his 1st time and was amazed and we came on a Tuesday not knowing what to expect yet they had Taco Tuesday and boy they are $1.00 ea really delicious yall. And forget about the fast food places. this is the spot. These were amazing it is super good. You get your moneys worth and 🙌 compliments to the chefs there. Tipsy Tavern, take care of your cooks they do good for you guys. And them stuffed mushrooms which idk what theyre stuffed with, but wow, very flavorful. I want more. That dish is $10.99 for the order of 6. Still is good, no regrets. And chase it down with a Coca cola or a nice beer. Either way, it was great l. My waitress was awesome and did a good job. Thank you, Cooks & Staff. We will come back and not only on Tuesday any other day I know I wont be let down with food. I took my photos but was a bit difficult to take the pics because of the lighting on the inside next time Ill have a mini flashlight to give it color lol.My friend invited me to eat and I must say very well served and deliciously made. Will come back to eat.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Place was very chill. Service was good and food wasnt bad at all. Ordered the Philly cheese steak. Good sandwich with a side of battered onion rings Bread was surprisingly soft. Grilled but soft. Filling was sauteed very well. Meat had a slight gamey taste to it.....maybe not enough seasonings. I will give em the benefit of the doubt this round.

After several recommendations and traveling here monthly, I decided to give this place a try.I loved the look of the sign out front, and the space inside gave off a fun vibe! It is large and spacious, and they have a stage where there was a guitarist playing live music.I sat at the bar, and it took a few minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. I ordered my classic Long Island Iced Tea to drink and for dinner I went with the Shrimp Plate.The shrimp were huge and it looked great but I didnt really care for the breading they used. It had a strong flavor that caught me off guard. I ended up just eating the French fries and buttered toast. I closed out withs shots (Shock Tart) that were pretty decent.Overall, I enjoyed the evening and Id visit again but next time Im going with a simple burger.

Never been here, didn’t give me a chance to go in. I went tonight and they told me they didn’t allow crocs. I didn’t know and wasn’t aware. And the bouncer was so rude! I asked him do they have a dress code, and he replied “well it’s Friday, next time you know.” So rude!!

Place discrimination against disability. I have a walking problem & only have the ability of one leg. Something new to me in using one leg more then having both & get kicked out cuz of that. Said I was drunk. Only had 2 drinks. Never again will I go when I go down to visit.

Beat Michelada ever! Jalapeno poppers were fresh, huge, tasty! Wings, also huge, fresh, hot, spicy! Cool place. Sit at the bar with multiple TVs and great wait staff. Ill be back!

The Onion rings and fries were good.I thought the Fries could have been cooked a little more. That may be about me, I say that a lot.Overall this place is good. Well be back.

We stopped here on the advertising of craft beer. While they did have several, there was no beer menu and the staff had no knowledge of the beers. Our server was pleasant enough, but she also had no idea what was in the food.

This is such a fun place to hangout! They have live music and great food! Awesome place to chill for happy hour or for a night out!

I was man handled by the bartenders and threatened by bar staff and employees because I was struggling to use an app to pay my tab. Do not trust these people. I was belittled by the bar owner him stating I was broke and couldn’t afford my tab and also threatening to assault me. The owner feels he’s entitled over human life and should be cancelled. It will be my mission to make sure this happens unless he is removed from tipsy.

Born in the mid-70s, couldnt get in (forgot I.D.) by security guard young as my children. He had a good attitude, though. Previous time arrived 18 min before closing, was rejected entry. Thats 2 strikes. Will not be going back. They have the best pints in town. Pity.

Terrible service, terrible bartender ( specifically the white dude with beard and glasses) he kept bragging saying he “ runs the place “ and kept ignoring his half side of the bar when asked for a drink ( literally had to beg ). I understand you care about tips and attend to your usuals first but ignore your customers once you realize they DONT tip, not as soon as they get there 😂 nothing friendly about the atmosphere 😒

Beers were GREAT, food was DELICIOUS, and the SERVICE was also GREAT!Music couldve been better.Price was ok but mixed drinks were bad, couldnt taste the alcohol.

Awkward environment if youre not a Cowboy fan, or if youre someone from out of town. The servers treat you weird and close your tab randomly. Dont recommend this place and Ive been to many bars in Austin/Houston. Food is decent if you can manage to not get kicked out for random stuff first. McAllen and Brownsville has better bars in the RGV at least.

Tipsy Tavern is a chill little spot in Harlingen. If you like pool, beer and actually some pretty decent tacos Tipsy is the place for you. I come here often during the day and the staff is always friendly and accommodating the prices are also pretty good. I definitely recommend stopping by Tipsy Tavern!

The food is the best. Got the tipsy volcano tacos and were so delicious. My servers were so attentive and would check on me throughout my time there. Definitely recommend. Everyone is so friendly!

The place is great! Good food and vibes!! I loved the food and drinks! The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was as well, especially on their specialty nights. The only suggestion would be to have faster service and to have matching staff shirts as I thought this guy was being creepy but he was actually trying to clear the table while being subtle. I didnt know until he finally came up and said. Staff shirts is a must. If he hadnt spoken up, I wouldve thought he was a random guy trying to get close.

Really like the food, so dark inside could barely read the menu, very noisy, the suggested tip on the bill started at 25% and went up. Kind of gutsy when even the really nice restaurants dont ask that high percentage. Sorry, service almost wasnt worth 20%.

They know how to serve up a good meal and the Atmospher is great very quick table service. Great specials all week long.

Always a good place to hang out. Happy hour specials are the best in town. One caution, wings were not what they were supposed to be. I ate them because I do believe in returning anything. Wings made a little nauseous. Lesson of the day, if its questionable, return it..

Great Karaoke brunch...good tunes and so much fun I highly recommend it.

Had the fish and shrimp platter. It was real good. large size shrimp, big piece of fresh fish and fries reasonably priced. It was worth the money not a lot of people went for lunch. It is a bar very dark inside, but I think well worth it.

Had a few beers at the bar. All the bartenders were very nice and were on top of checking with customers to see if we needed anything. Ordered a shrimp cocktail to go, generous portion, great price, and very scrumptious! Great price on beer too!

Tried coming here Saturday night for my first time as I recently turned 21, was turned away because I was wearing Crocs? Ive gone to Clubs in Crocs before... Wouldve been better if they just said next time wear shoes because it was obviously my first time there instead they told me to change and come back, I went elsewhere.

My first time here was a great experience. Their chips are amazing they sprinkle some seasoning on it and their salsa and guacamole is so bomb!! Also they serve beer dressed in chamoy if you ask for it 😍

This place was f****** amazing, I REALLY enjoyed my visit. Im visiting from Florida and staying in Harlingen with my brother. The place wasnt at all what I was expecting, they far exceeded all my expectations. Has a Bar/ Club vibe, with great people and a great atmosphere. All the waitresses are beautiful, security and all other employees are nice. Drinks and food were good, and theres nice and experienced pool players that make things fun. Had plenty of drinks, great wings, and was allowed to let out my competitive spirit out on the pool tables. Our server was Chassidy, I highly recommend for anyone whether its local or visiting from out of state. Btw DJ was 10/10!!! I have high expectations for DJ’s being where I’m from, he was amazing and applying pressure all night.

Ok... I love this place.. their family time from 11am to 300pm is awesome.. the food is delicious, the prices are real good and waitresses are kind, friendly, and respectful. The have an awesome sound system tied in to the jukebox. I have only checked out the family time about 5 times.. awesome. Keep up the excellent work...

Visiting a pool hall from out of town is always a crapshoot. The manager (Aaron) and staff made me feel welcome and appreciated. The locals even let me win a game or two! Great snacks and better people!!

Great place to be. Comfortable setting. Outside and indoor seating as well as bar seats. Staff is friendly and work hard. Food variety is good and plenty to offer. Bar is well stocked with over twenty beers on tap and two lists on the wall of shooters. Best of all, I saw an older couple tell the manager how great of a time they had and how pleased they were. Happy hour is 11:00 am through 10:00 pm. Inexpensive for what you get. Seafood is fresh daily.Edition: Still a great place to be. A smile will get you ten more. Love to be here.

I didnt buy any food I just went in there to see if they would play the football game during the NFL season. FYI they do have the games on but they have music playing thats very loud, to me.

Today ( Wednesday ) i called in a order for pick up. i ordered 12 wings and when i picked them up they charged me $18.00 for 12 wings.... no fries... no drink... i told them i didnt want ranch or anything boom $18.00... at least they gave me carrots lol who eats carrots with wings? way over priced Ill never come back.

This is not a real sports bar!! Can’t even go enjoy an NBA game with a jersey if you’re a guy because they say, “oh can’t come in with tank tops!” Uh it’s a jersey!? Nah you cant. So if a basketball fan, do not plan to go here to watch a game! Not a real sports bar!! Won’t allow you in! Trash!!

I give it 5 Stars. Went on a Friday Night sat down waitresses were very speedy. Food came out fast, food was excellent. Different waitresses that were not even serving my table asked if were we good and needed anything 👍. Free pool tables (3 of them) excellent music live DJ. Awesome Environment. If your looking to drink in an environment where people actually decided to wear something decent this the spot yes you have your 20-30 YO crowd in there Melrose dresses and guys in there high top Nikes with their cookies shirts. Foods legit for a bar. And drinks well theyre cold. Dont expect to show up and dance most crowds there are playing pool or just staring at the McDonalds employees in there tight dress... overall chill spot not gonna lie the music is probably the best thing DJ, good food cold beer and liquor... no dance floor minimal dancing. Still 5 out of 5

Went there and odered a draft drink, both cups were dirty. They still had the dressing on them. Only bought those two drinks and the waitress charged me an additional 30 dollars, and blamed my bank. Made me or else they would call cops on me. On top of that the tacos i ordered were not made of bistek and the tortilla was raw and meat was over cooked. The only good thing was that we left

Great live music. Then it changed to dj and young kids. I was done at that point. I had the burger and fries. It was good. My wife had the fish tacos. She said the tacos were not that good. Not enough fish. Over all a good plan for evening entertainment.

Place is amazing! I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was outstanding. The shrimp cocktail actually had a large amount of shrimp. They were were not small shrimp like usual places. I asked for extra shrimp initially because I thought it wouldn’t have enough but I couldn’t finish it because I got full.Raven the bartender made the best Michelada. First time here and the shrimp cocktail and drinks were on point!! I highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy seafood and cocktails. I hear the ceviche is also great.👍🏽

This place is alright but we ended up with this short girl with shoulder length hair that ended up being rude. She would make faces and mouthing off as shed walk away. I mean if you dont like your job then why are you there?!. Other than that the wings were bomb.

This place is awesome!! They play all the good hits from 90s and good music that is hot!! Their food is also good, fairly priced, they have pool tables, good ambiance, great DJ every time Ive been there. People there are so laid back and friendly, will be back here again, definitely. We tried Tipsy Tavern for the first time today and the experience did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and our server, Samantha, was very attentive and friendly. The chef, Carlos, was Awesome. I highly recommend Tipsy Tavern for great food and service.

The worse service. But good food.I came in sat down for 15 mins decided to leave but met friends outside that convinced me to stay..waited.. again then my server took forever to take care of us. Went to the bar. Said my order.. and it was wrong... good environment but need better servers. It wasnt busy they had 3 servers. Band was amazing.

Free pool as long as you buy something...Eddies charges an arm and a leg..go early to avoid the younger crowd..unless of course thats your thing...in which case come after 7 and Par-tay lol :)

Great food. Horrible service.This is the type of place where youll pretty much be ignored unless youre friends with one of the staff or if you are aggressively persistent. This place gets packed so if youre planning on being smart and reserving a table, DONT!!! Theyll just give away your table and refund the money that you prepaid. Ill probably still go back because the food is so damn good lol.

Excellent sports bar with 20+ bees on tap and mixed drinks. Excellent bar food and dozens of large screen TVs with all the sports playing. They also have several pool tables and tournaments going. Good staff and great prices. We had the chips and queso. Very good.

Great weekday bar its good on the weekends too but a little crowded. The staff is professional and are great people. The bartenders make some of the best drinks Ive ever had. Free pool and giant jenga. Love it.

First time there with five other ladies very good margaritas and the food Was outstanding very reasonable priced Ill be going back soon. This is for the management you need some more low tables older people can,t set on them. High stools. I could bring alot of my friends if you lower table and chairs. Just a suggestion.

Ive seen many photos of their food on face book and it just looks delicious so I had to go try it. Guess what, it is absolutely delicious. Theres nothing bad I can say about it.

Be careful when you go here at night because they will try taking advantage of your money!! i went to tipsy tavern this past weekend and thought i was going to be able to have a casual saturday night with my boyfriend. however, we ordered two shots, which we paid for and closed out for immediately. we then ordered another two purple gecko shots from their $5 shots list on their walls, and two modelo bottles, i should’ve had a bill of roughly 20 or so dollars. one of the girl servers “destiny” went to one of the bartenders and told him my boyfriend and i had been drinking shots from the “service station” that didn’t belong to us, the bartender then threatened and harassed us while we were calmly asking why they added 3 extra shots to our tab. they kept saying they were going to call the cops if we didn’t pay for shots we NEVER took. we talked to them so calmly and were getting yelled at so much to the point we didn’t even want to stay and finish what we PAID FOR, due to their threats. instead of apologizing and fixing our bill, the bartender “aaron” ACCUSED us instead of asking us if we had taken the shots(we didn’t) i don’t think this place is very professional, they’ve had multiple complaints on them charging for drinks that people did not order or take, and they have terrible customer service. they had absolutely no proof of us taking the shots they accused us of taking and lied about it. this place makes a joke out of any complaints you have towards them, they don’t fix the issue. instead they will HARASS you online for speaking out about the situation they caused.

My friends and I are all 30+ years old the one time in a blue moon we decide to go out we decide to go to Tipsy Tavern they don’t let 2 of us in cause we are presented our Virginia IDs (winter Texans) we showed other proof of id via debit, credit cards, bank account but still the bouncer didn’t let us in. What kind of policy do they have here? Just because we aren’t from this state we aren’t allowed to have a Good time. I will not recommend to friends and I will tell everyone to not go here. I wish I could write a good review but I cannot at this time. 1 of 5.

We had a fun time. There wasnt too many people there when we got there at 5:00 p.m. but by 7:00 it started to pick up. We had wings and ceviche. The ceviche was delicious.

Consistently get charged wrong. Added drinks I did not order show up on my tab. I only drink one type of alcohol, Grey Goose.... and never buy drinks for anyone. Why am I being charged for 5 double IPAs? A whiskey coke? Bartenders try to get over on you.Check your bar tabs, or better yet, go somewhere else.

I was a bit disappointed overall because I dont go out very often when I do I expect something really good for the night. I stopped by tipsy tonight and my waitress Stacey a short female with tattoos on her arm was a bit rude and ignore me through the night I was just trying to get some drinks that was it. Horrible experience and I dont want to go there ever again.

Food is great! Much better than you would expect from your average bar fare! My family and I have tried several things on the menu and have enjoyed everything we have tried.

Ive been to third world countries with better service than this place. Sorry organization. Pitiful employees. Managers dont exist. I can have a child run a better operation than this place. I wish the best for them, but Ill never go there again even if I got a million dollars. Ruined my days off.

I will never go to this place again. I went a few days ago and the venue was extremely small and overly packed and the heat was unbearable. It was not even worth enduring because the bartenders and servers were very rude and would look at me and other customers waiting to order drinks and we had to wave them down every time. It took 20 minutes to order a drink every time. I would give this place zero stars if possible. Do not recommend this place.

Good food TERRIBLE service 1/10. Asked the server KAREN to give us a couple of seconds to order and it took her 15 minutes to get back to us and thats cause we had to literally go up to her cause she couldnt see us waving. Then they got our order wrong TWICE! And gave us attitute. Food took 45 minutes to get to us and we asked twice how long it was going to take, bartender JASON gave me attitute and said it was going to take a couple more minutes when it was SLOW! Hardly any people were there. I told him to check how much longer or we would pay and leave and he said fine and threw the rag he was cleaning with. He was saying it was our fault since WE had ordered wrong! We had to also stand to ask for water since our glasses had been empty for 10 mintes! This is the second time i come and my friends first and last time. You guys are new to buisness and with servers and bartenders like that you guys arent going to get anywhere. VERY DISSAPOINTED!

I tried to visit here. The bouncer asked for IDs like hes supposed to. He saw mine from Minnesota, asked if theres a water mark. I told him if he holds it right theres a loon. (Aka state bird of MN). He asked if I had anything else like a debit card, his words, so I handed him my debit card. Then he looks at us (the person who was with me had a TX ID), and says, were not serving drinks right now anyway. I asked not even for a water? He denied us because he couldnt figure out how to read me ID. He was all for letting us in until that. Dont be an idiot. If it was fake, it would say Im closer to 21 and not 27. Plus, why TF would I be in Texas trying to use a fake MN ID?

Went on a Saturday from Mcallen and had the most horrible service. One waitress was really nice but all the rest were rude, rolled their eyes at us, told us to just get up and get our drinks from the bar. The bartenders were super rude and only catered to who you could tell were friends of theirs. Then the “bouncer” was on a power trip and kicked people out for excessive dancing. It was rediculous. To top it off at the end of the night I stepped outside and the door man wouldn’t let me back in to get my stuff. After me argueing with him he proceeded to call me names, (perra, pendeja, and culera just to name a few) the most unprofessional group of people I’ve ever witnessed. Never ever ever again.

An all 90s themed Tavern!! Kind service, good people, and affordable! Kill some time playing jumbo Jenga; Jumbo Line up 4; play Galaga/Mrs. PacMan; or play free pool on one of their 4 pool tables! All the music played that night was on point! It was truly a nice, and welcomed change of pace from what everyone else has to offer out there.

Place is only for friends and family of staff. Newcomers never get served, dont recommend this place. Others had told me the same thing as well.

It was Tuesday tacos we Ordered tacos my friend and I we had 2 long neck golden Michelob Ultra which were really good the tacos were really really good and they were fresh the lemons were fresh and juicy the green salso was really divine we will definitely be going back thank you We had A good waitress that served us.

Employee Drew decided to cut me off after walking with a limp. I have a handicap. He then asks my friends for a bribe to overlook it. Repeatedly. I had 3 drinks over 5 hours. I recommend retraining, maybe sensitivity training.

New employees boy at the bar and girl waiting tables both rude as hell. Told us wrong price twice and the bartender yelled and told us to get out. Worst place in the world food is a rip off. Very disappointed. Didnt even give us our food it sat up there for 7 mins with only 3 other people in the bar not ordering food.

Poor Waitress Service. Stood by Pool Table for 40 minutes or so, Not Once did the Waiter or Waitress stop to ask if I needed a Beer or Drink but did ask others whom arrived after Me plus another Veteran Brother did not get any service! Not my type of atmosphere 😡👎

They have good wings!! But only one server for everybody so I guess they arent really a grill but still good wings.

Worst service ever. Food took over a hour to come out and place wasnt that busy. Every time I needed a drink I had to call the only waitress they had. I will never come back.

Friend of mine adviced me service is bad but food and environment was good only to arrive and find out that they can be very prejudiced against ppl with tattoos even if they are not gang related!

Servers were on point , I really dont know how they do it , it was super packed for the UFC fights and they were all over the place handling their business, give those girls a raise.

Dont go to tipsy tavern they take forever to help you and the main store manager will not even help you with issues you may have about the place. Worst customer service experience.
