I had done micro blending eye brows before but I’ve never satisfied on my eye brows. I found Suzukoo and I had nano stroke PMU. It was so natural the day I had one and no pain. The salon is very cozy and clean and good atmosphere. The staff are professional and very friendly. I had PMU Lip as well with Lani. The beginning was a little painful but the result was amazing!! My lip color brightens up my face. I highly recommend this salon!!! They have massage and other treatments so I should check and go back there again.

I had my eyebrows done with Lani and she is very thorough, sweet and really tries understand what you want. She gives her professional opinion but also works with you to help you achieve the desired look. The whole process was very seamless and overall a good experience.

I’ve been on the hunt for years for the right place to get my brows done, but hadn’t found any place that I liked, since I prefer the natural look ( I’m not good at doing make up).When I found Suzukoo on IG, I was instantly impressed by how natural the nano strokes looked, but because I’m afraid of pain, it still took me a while to take the leap and decide on getting it done. I highly recommend Suzukoo Academy for anyone who wants to learn Makoto’s techniques. I took hair stroke and powder brow classes. I was completely beginner but able to learn so much from online lesson and able to be ready for in person lesson after 2 months.Online lessons were very important because I learned the basics of permanent makeup and basic techniques. Every time I submitted my homework, she responded with her comments and more suggestions. I could also ask questions anytime.In-person lessons, I got to see Makoto working on her models. It was very helpful experience for me to learn her techniques. I saw how she worked on her clients like brow mapping, choosing colors, machine techniques and so much more. During the sessions, I could ask questions and take pictures and videos.I also got to work on my own models on the next day I saw Makoto’s works. It was not like practice and took longer time, but glad I was able to work on my own model.Whole lessons were not easy. I needed to focus and practice a lot but it was worth all the time I spent practicing.Again, I really recommend if you are ready and want to learn from one of the top PMU artists!

I did permanent makeup for my lips, eyeliner, and eyebrows with Suzukoo. They are amazing and I highly recommend!! Parking is $2 for the full session with a reserved spot, the location is extremely clean but soothing and comfortable like a spa, the artists are very welcoming, accommodating, and brilliant at their craft! Best decision ever - I look so pulled together all the time with zero effort. 10/10 highly recommend.

I had Nano hair strokes & shading done and it came out so very very very natural! Makoto drew one hair at a time to create perfectly shaped and natural looking brows! I never expected the results to be this amazing and painless. I walked out the door with very little redness and no swelling. I could have met someone immediately after the procedure without being noticed that I just had my brows done! Makoto was very thorough during the pre-procedure counseling and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. Maruko was amazing. Very professional and talented when performing both procedures for my hairstroke eyebrows and shadow eyeliner. Those two (2) procedures made my look 20 years younger! Highly recommend the nano stroke eyebrows if you are looking for a natural yet defined eyebrows look!! Im extremely happy with the result! If you want to read my full-report, see below :)Tips and Expectations (from my perspective):1) Wear your make up to show what style of make up and eyebrow you like when you go to your appointment.2) Makoto drafted the eyebrow based on the consultation and measurements of my face, and drew the outline of eyebrow - this looked really funny and she told me to ignore the outline because the eyebrow itself would be inside the outline. Imagining that was impossible for me, so I basically checked the shape and trusted the process.3) It was NOT painful at all! Makoto put some topical numbing stuff, and I did not feel pain at all. Maybe some irritation or discomfort when she was working on the same area repetitively but totally bearable.4) Swelling and scabbing were very minimal, so I could go out immediately after without worrying about looking funky. Just had to make sure to wear a hat to protect my eyebrows from sunlight.5) Scab came off about 5-6 days after and it was very minimal. Kind of like how you get sunburn and your skin peals off.6) Not wetting my eyebrows for 10 days was challenging, especially during shower. Makoto gave me 3 clear plastic visors that would stick to your forehead, which was really helpful. So I used them for the first 3 days of showering. For the rest of the 7 days, I washed my hair last and tried my best not to wet my eyebrows.7) When scab came off, some parts lost color or became lighter which was expected as Makoto explained to me in advance. In my case, this was minimal and I even thought about cancelling my touchup appointment. But because of the slight unevenness in color, I decided to do the touchup. Makoto checked the color and condition, and proposed to change the tone of color to make it more brown. She said that depending on the skin tone, color come out differently from the originally intended color. It did not bother me but making it little more brown-ish aligns better with my style and Im so thankful that she proposed that option. Im very happy that I actually went to the touchup session!!Thanks for reading till the end, and I hope this was helpful in making your decision!!

Excellent! I love my eyebrows! My original eyebrows were very thin from many years of over plucking & as I got older, I hardly had any eyebrows left. Thanks to Makoto, my new eyebrows are much thicker, fuller, natural looking, & youthful! I no longer have to draw in my eyebrows & worry whether they were even or not. Life just got so much easier for me. Makoto is truly a talented artist. She listens to what you want, she’s caring, easy to talk to, & she makes sure that you are comfortable. I have been looking for a Korean style, Asian style eyebrow microblading in Hawaii. I usually do it in Korea but due to the pandemic, I had not been able to. There are so many microblading places in Hawaii but I did not like the thick and too glammy, local look. I wanted very natural and clean and so Im so very glad I found this place. The artist Makoto is Japanese and she is so sweet and listened to what I wanted and I really appreciated that. Their location was very convenient, the studio was immaculate, and my experience was amazing. I am extremely picky about getting anything done in Hawaii but I am so pleased to find someone locally so I dont have to wait every year to go to Korea. I would definitely recommend this place! 😊

Mako is truly a great microblading tattoo artist ..She won Championship trophies in World Competition doing eyebrows, etc.... she does very good detailed precise tattooing - puts her own creation and style in her work and she gives you beautiful evenly matched eyebrows for your face -- indeed, a notch up compared to other local business competition in HI. I like her quiet Japanese personality; office is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated for her customers. I highly recommend her ... but because she is so good, you have to wait over a month for appointment. Honestly, it is worth the wait.

Mako is absolutely amazing! It is so worth the wait. I wanted more of a natural look and she nailed it. I am not a big make up person, so now I wake up, put some powder on my face, mascara and liner and I am out in 5 minutes. Her skillset is off the charts. You need to book with her now !

I have been here twice to get a lash lift with Mako and I was so happy with her service. I got my lashes lifted since I didnt want to fuss with extensions, and they were just right for me. When I curled my lashes, they definitely looked longer and it was perfect for a light/no makeup look! Professional, comfortable, and clean environment. Shes also very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend, and will be back!

Due to COVID and mask wearing my eye makeup kept smearing and decided to get it done permanently. Mako did an amazing job with my eyeliner. She took the time to ensure my comfort and did not rush to finish the job. Mako did a beautiful thin lining on the top and bottom part of my eye. I went to Makoto PMU Academy at Suzukoo Relaxation&Skin Design to learn semi permanent makeup. Makoto is one of the very few micropigmentation artists in the U.S. who can do hair strokes for eyebrows using the machine. Her art(eyebrow hair stroke, ombré, lips and eyeliner) is very natural and beautiful, that she won many prizes in various micropigmentation competitions in Europe and the U.S.Makoto’s teaching style is very organized and thorough. The textbooks are very informative. She makes sure you understand, and she teaches you very patiently until you are able to do the technique. Also, homework is very helpful because you get to practice at home on sheets of latex skin. You send the picture of your work to Makoto on WhatsApp, and she gives you feedback right away.I’m very happy that I chose Makoto Academy to learn micropigmentation. Makoto is such a great teacher and an artist, one of the sweetest people I’ve known who wishes you the best to be successful in your new career.

It has been over a year since I got my eyebrows done so the color was beginning to fade. The last time, I had my brows done in the bay area so Im not familiar with any of places in Honolulu. I decided to give this spot a try because of all the positive reviews and am really glad that I did. Mako is a real professional who takes a lot of pride and care in what she does. Every detail in her shop is meticulously set up for the comfort of her clients. During consultation, Mako was really informative and worked with me to create the perfect eyebrows for my face. She measured, marked, and then sketched what my brows would look like when she was done. The actual microblading was not painful nor uncomfortable at all. Mako takes her time and creates each brush stroke with precision. Every step of the process, Mako let me know what she was doing so I that I knew what to expect and the results were absolutely amazing! In addition, Mako is really sweet and makes you feel comfortable. She doesnt rush you and is very patient with the entire process. Part of the reason is that she only takes 2 clients a day so that she can give you her full attention. While she was working on me, the phone never rang, texts never beeped, and no customers walked through the door (She is appointment only). The entire process usually takes about 3 hours from consulting to finish but she took a little longer on me since I had old brow color that she had to work with. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Mako for microblading - especially if its your first time! She is a gentle and patient perfectionist who truly cares about her clients. Im definitely going back to try her other services!Tip: The parking structure is in the actual building on Kalakaua ave where you will see a parking gate and attendant. Drive up to the attendant, and let them know where you are going. The attendant will provide you with written directions on where to park and the suite number of Suzukoo. After you park, you will need to take the elevator to the first floor. Then you will walk across to the next set of elevators that will get you into the actual building. Take the elevators on the left hand side up to your floor.

I love my eyebrows. I had a short eyebrows but now it looks nice now. Dont have to worry about drawing my eyebrows.Her cosmetic tattoo didnt hurt like I imagined. I was relieved because I dont like needles and pain. Mako said its because of her machine. I had such a wonderful experience with Mako. She did a fabulous job at microblading my eyebrows! They looked so natural that the following day when I went to work, no one noticed at all! When I told everyone in my office they were astounded. They said that the strokes looked like real hair. The color was also very natural.Yesterday, I had my eyeliner redone along with light shadowing. My eyes are a little puffy but the lines looks very symmetrical and not very thick, just the way that I wanted it to be. Shadowing is lightly done. I felt that I could always add on depending on the event of the day. I could also have it redone darker when I go in for the retouch, if needed.I spent about 3 hours for each day. It didnt seem so long at all. The time zoomed by!Mako is a very pleasant, interesting, and knowledgeable person. We had lots to talk about!

Mako has done Re Belle, 2B Bio for discoloration, brown blemishes on my face and it look better then what was, I notice its fading after second visit. Also it helps for acne, wrinkles and to tighten face. Mako also did Microblading and Ombre eyebrow tattoo for me and wow she did an awsome job, exactly what I wanted and more. I have gone to 5 others and none of them could match her !!! She does things with profession and she really does a great job! Unkind and unprofessionalThe photos below are both taken after she worked on my eyebrows. The one on the bottom is probably the one she would post on her website, right after the procedure. The top photo, a few days later. As seen on the photo, it did not go as planned. In fact, she left my eyebrow just as she found it.After several attempts, she was unable to accommodate me for a second appointment. There was a misunderstanding about scheduling the return but these things happen. I mentioned that it was an expansive procedure, and since there was no results, it was not the best was I could have spent my money, but I would move on. So far, Im an unhappy client but what can one do.The interaction took an extremely unprofessional turn when she proceeded to make an unkind joke about the situation, and thought it was funny that she already got paid and will not have to finish the job. Her heart is too small for Hawaii. There is no aloha on her way of doing business.There are many amazing professionals in Hawaii. I recommend staying away from this heartless one.

Very impressed with the ambience of the place. The view from the curtain wall was splendid and with peaceful music and relaxing massage, I was apparently snoring in no time. The deep tissue massage really worked me. Id definitely recommend to people who prefer a strong massage!

My favorite place ever! I love their wonderful and relaxing atmosphere with great services. Ive done my eyebrows, eyeliner and 2B, Rebell herbal skin peeling, facial and massage. I love them all!!

Notes: Oily forehead, all year long sensitive skin.One thing to note is Makoto use micropigmentation to tattoo hair strokes or shading. My first session was in November 2019 and a follow up touch up in January 2020. My brow has been striking for a year and till after a year it still look good and natural and the color didnt fade to brow/green. Received a lot of compliment from friends that saying it is natural. Makotos skill is one of the best and hair strokes are the finest I have seen in Honolulu. My natural brows are uneven shape and thanks to Makoto I have a more even brows now and especially during 2020 I appreciate lots as I no longer need to put any make up and to go out! The sessions cost consider on a high BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! I recently just did a one year retouch, not because of loss of pigmentation. It is just me have OCD and totally my fault. I accidentally scratched off the scab(more like a very thin flake not an actual thick bloody scab) last year when it was healing. There was a tiny bit that was missing due to that only I noticed. It is a NO NO to scratch when it is flaking just a norm. so I just go into have Makoto to fix for me

I met Mr. Mako a few years ago when I wanted to repair my eyebrows that had been done at another salon.I was very satisfied from the first time and was impressed by the high level of technique. When I asked for a touch-up a year later, the original asymmetry was gone and the result was perfect.I had a touch-up done again this year, but I cant think of anyone else other than Mako to balance the color of my eyes and hair, and adjust the thickness to match the trends.

Micropigmented eyebrows do not form scabs and remain pain-free for about 1 hour.It calmed down within a week. Its a shame that I cant do retouching, but its refreshing to think that I can say goodbye to my green eyebrows from permanent makeup for a while.
