The people here complaining are ridiculous. Youre paying bargain prices. If you expect luxury services pay 200 night next door. This is the best bang for the buck. Great views and the staff was nice.Sami

Great area with this hotel being in midtown by the Galleria; you have practically every shopping spot you can imagine in walking distance, which let me tell you is quite pleasant. They have pretty nice and spacious rooms with a lot of things you need to live..(microwave, oven, stove, ect.), the rooms have definitely been smoked in, even the ones that have signs that say Non-Smoking. & Im a smoker, but I prefer not to smoke inside of my living quarters, or places that I am staying or living. There are a lot of people that go in and out, in and out, which can be annoying some nights, but I guess it isnt terrible. Also, I know that they renovated one side of the place, now lets renovate what Im guessing is the original side, to get it up to par please!! Overall though it was nice. It is a 3 star hotel but I will give it a 4. Sorry for the original 3 star rating.

I have stayed at OYOs before and generally for the price they are excellent. But not this place. I have stayed at many hotels for business and pleasure and this is the worst stay experience I have ever had. The main desk person has some kind of weird psychological issues and she lies, she lies a LOT.She came at us with all these weird accusations that made no sense, like she tried to claim we had extra people in the room, she tried to claim we were smoking in the room (we dont smoke). I dont know what her end game is, whether she is trying to keep the deposit on us (we already paid for a week and its not worth the hassle of leaving, but we are definitely never staying here again).They dont do their basic diligence, the desk is not open when they say it is going to be open, the wifi doesnt work, and when confronted with these things instead of being conciliatory and polite and professional, they immediately become defensive and make a lot of personal accusations and insults, and start threatening to call the cops. I was like really please call them, because I want to see this.She barges into the rooms at random times without knocking. She barged in on us in the middle of the day and we were both sitting naked on the bed, watching TV, she didnt act embarrassed or apoligize, she just stood there in our room complaining at us, staring at us while we were naked.Honestly this lady was so messed up and she did and said so many weird and abusive things, there is hardly any point in me trying to elaborate on it all. I cant even remember every single thing. She even told us if we wanted to be treated with respect we should have gone to a more expensive hotel.Just dont give these messed up people your business, they are not trustworthy and this place is not safe. Honestly even if you did show up here theres always a good chance there wont be anyone here to check you in, because there is hardly ever anyone at the desk, and you cant call this location directly, the direct line number doesnt work, which would seem to be intentional.Oh and the place has lots of roaches but really thats the least of their problems

Horrible! Don’t do it! I know the price is cheap BUT don’t do it! Beware. Front lady was nice but everything else was wrong. First room I was given was literally 99 degrees fahrenheit, bed sheets were dirty. Second room was eh. Hard bed, bad view, No accessories, no fridge, no iron, and dirty arm chair. Also the entrance is super creepy and you have to pay for parking! Super creepy elevator and lastly the hallways are extremely HOT!! **Forgot to mention there were roaches in the room. Empty Drug baggies all over the parking floors. Scratchy characters. Left a day early because I couldn’t spend another night here.

Hotel is very clearly a renovated parking garage. Floors are painted concrete. Hot water stinks of sulfur, smoke detectors are all dying so I had to sleep through the chirping.If that wasnt bad enough, I woke up this morning to check out and came across a bunch of cigarette butts lining the hallway on my floor.The quality of this hotel is truly abhorrent. Please avoid if possible.The only redeeming factor is the location.

Its really hard for me to write a really bad review for a hotel but this place is really bad. First, the entrance is NOT clear at all. I arrived in the front of the building at the “old” entrance and saw a small sign to go around the building to check-in. I went around the building and could not find any other entrance. There is no clear signage as to where to go and all ended up walking around aimlessly by the trash on the floor the garage and the apartment-like rooms in the hotel. People can be dumb, tired or lazy after traveling so having clear huge signs is very a must in my opinion. Also, it seems like people live here and the characters I saw were very sketchy. I called the office three times and no one answered the phone. After 15 minutes of walking around and seeing trash, I decided to just book another hotel.

First had to stand outside a room that I made reservation for over 30 mins, then had to go all the way back down stairs to change rooms my boyfriend was with me and just had surgery and it was cold. The room wasnt not cleaned at all. No towels no soap no trash cans and the elevator smelled like urine and had only one light and it was dim

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The check in experience wasn’t the best, but I won’t complain too much about that because things happen. Nevertheless, the hallways were scorching hot & room was so hot even with the AC on full blast. It was also gross and no fridge or anything else just a bed. I was originally staying fri-sun, but I ended up leaving first thing in the morning & ordered a different hotel. Also, the parking situation was not fun. I paid $20 for two parking passes, and there was barely any parking. I asked about going up the parking garage but they mentioned we could only park on the first floor or the shopping strip across the street which I don’t understand since we paid for parking.

Wonderful place to stay! It was nice and cozy. The staff was helpful and very friendly! I know I am staying here anytime I visit Houston. Great price too! More than just a room it had a kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, pans, silverware, there was also a dining table a living room. It was basically a small apartment, I loved it!

We had a room with a very loud noise from the rooftop air conditioning unit, unable to sleep the entire night. To be fair the hotel moved us and cancelled the second night without charge. The place does not feel safe as the locks on our door were broken. Anyone can walk in and out of the premises. The check-in desk was never staffed. Had to call them to get attention. Location is good, but the quality of the room is poor (old and broken furniture, some from ikea)

Ive visited guests here and find the rooms to be very nice and private. The clientele here seem to be working middle and upper middle class citizens who are respectful, quiet, and pretty low key. If you have children, you may be better off at the Hilton next door.

This place should be demolished. The place is infested with homeless people and meth addicts. I saw a ax at the front door of one of the units, a busted window. I could not find an attendant when I attempted to check in. After walking the property to find the attendant. The place looked sketchy so I checked my family into another hotel. For the beautiful area. I was surprised this motel was there. It belongs in a 3rd world country somewhere.

1st there was no parking spaces available, 2nd the room I was given was already occupied by someone else so it took longer then usual to check in since we had to go back to front desk & get another room, 3rd the elevator was very dark, at 1 point the dim light completely goes out & its pitch black & creepy, 4th I went to shower & the water was hot for 1½ mins before it turned to freezing cold so I had to get out with soap in my hair, 5th I asked for a refund because I was expecting a comfortable experience, but it was bad every step of the way & I had only been in my room for maybe 10 mins total...the manager was extremely rude & called me a liar & refused to give refund, so my man asked why they were being unprofessional & they asked him to take it outside like they wanted to fight him, then threatened to call the cops & told us we could not come there again because we just wanted money. No we just wanted a hot shower & relax time to enjoy each others company. It was a nightmare! I suggest avoiding this place...horrible horrible experience & rudest people Ive ever dealt with at any hotel.

I needed 4 rooms. They booked 4 rooms, but when I got there at 4:30 pm, 1.5 hours after I could check in, only 2 rooms were ready. The other two smelled of cigarettes and or sewage. I cancelled all 4 at that date. They only refunded amount for 2 rooms. The place is not as advertised.

DIRTY! Everywhere is dirty!There are cigarettes everywhere. The whole place smells smoke. When you take shower, you become dirtier because even the water smells weird. Towels are torn. Elevator doesnt have lighting and smells smokes like terrible. The AC is right next to the door and you dont get any air flow in your room. I am sweating right now. In short, DO NOT STAY here. I made mistake, I should have paid little more and booked a better place.

Just got back home in NC after staying four nights at the Hilton Garden Inn/Galleria area in Houston, TX. This place was awesome! Wonderful buffet breakfast every morning. All of the staff was exceptionally efficient and pleasant!

Parking was terrible, no signs in front saying the parking was in the back through an alley. You get to the back office and no one was there so we went up front, which was absolutely disgusting. I had to call for someone to come back and check us in. We get in the elevator only to find out they made the rooms inside of a parking garage so it was EXTREMELY HOT rooms weren’t bad tho but getting to the room felt so sketchy and scary.

This place is a total dump. Its dirty. Its not safe. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Youre better off sleeping in your car at the Walmart parking lot. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

Terrible…. Terrible There is no way to post 0 for zero stars… I booked the Oyo in the Galleria area OF Houston on HOTWIRE Memorial Day weekend 2021.. before I read the Google reviews… BIG MISTAKE.. my husband and 3 small kids went … no parking .. has to park on corner at restaurant and walk.. upon entering we saw broken windows… people hanging outside… blinds tore the hell up…. Blinds open and the room was trashed ..Walked in poorly lit parking garage where office is… 20 seconds into the office we hear gun fire…we left immediately… DO NOT STAY HERE..

I have not visited this establishment but the pictures are Charming.... With the exception of one where the person doing the video tape is cussing. I know of many people who cuss who are good people but most of them dont cuss in front of ladies and since ladies and gentlemen BOTH look at these reviews cussing is not helpful or appreciated. You only make yourself look bad sir, not the establishment.

On the coldest night of the year they put me in a room w broken tv, the switched me rooms, this room didnt have working heater nor did it have water. By this point too tired to say anything. Slept w jackets on.

Terrible hotel, the hallway to our room was so hot it felt like we were in a sauna. The room was also hot as well, none of the outlets were working and the sheets and pillows had stains. Worst hotel experience.

I genuinely cant put into words how nasty this place is and on top of that the 20$ parking with only like 10 spots is ridiculous. Its 4am in the morning im so tired and was so ready to sleep but as soon as I saw the room I decided to book a hotel somewhere else.

I arrived at the OYO Galleria location in Houston...it looks like a glorified crack house. The AC wasnt working so the manager agreed to give me a full refund. I dont know why they think its ok for the AC to be out during the summer in Houston. I wish I could give zero stars, but 1 is the lowest rating you can go.

So I went to visit my friend at the hotel, but as Im leaving a guy starts to record me driving. I rolled down my window and he pulled out a gun! This place is very creepy the guy was wearing sunglasses and all black. I would not recommend staying here

If you are OK, this small hotel is OK.Its been a little gem to me. Low price, fits the budget. Ideal location. The staff here is calm and and patient.I would return anytime.

I give it a 1 because of all the things they couldnt do. They didnt have clean rooms or bathrooms. It was bad they even switched our rooms and we still was so disgusted but because we did t want to loose our 99. Cancellation fee we just stayed 1 night and we will never go back. Its a place for crack heads, hookers, and others.

Magnificent view with huge windows in selected rooms. Convenient for shopping as Galleria is just a short walk away. The best price in a 10 mile radius and curtious and personal treatment from staff.

This Motel very unprofessional its hard to get any assistance over the phone they dont answer most of the time when you call 800 number its also more of the same. If you try to cancel reservation so your not charged they will not assist or send you any confirmation of cancellation charges PLEASE BE WARE ! ZERO 0 RATING IF I COULD...

Dont let the star-rating confuse you, this is officially my favorite hotel in Houston,I live in San Francisco and work in Houston, this means I have to stay 1 week out of the month in Houston, next to the galleria.I like to eat healthy so I much prefer properties with Kitchen where I can cook my own organic food.I have traditionally stayed in Extended Stay America, and one nearest to Galleria with Pool is 30 min away in traffic. Comparing with other hotels in the area this is an excellent value for money and my favorite hotel1) Price is comparable to Extended Stay.2) Free Parking (some other hotels near galleria charges $20+ per night for parking).3) Pool is open 24x7x365, there is nothing like going into the pool after a long day even if it is after 10pm. Some hotels close the pool at 8:00pm or even 6:00pm - This is awesome.4) Full Kitchen, Unlike Extended Stay, pots and pans, plates and utensils are in the kitchen when I arrive, No waiting for up to 1 hour for the plates to arrive so that I can eat my take out.5) All the little things: When was the last time you saw a Kitchen Roll or a Dishwasher in your hotel room?6) The Cabinets are new, there is 2 Walk in closets, a working desk for my computer AND a dining table with 4 chairs.7) Kitchen has everything, real knives, Coffeemaker, toaster, microwave oven, Good Range with full-size oven, fridge and freezer - did I mention the Dishwasher?8) Living room with Kitchen, full bathroom and separate bedroom.9) Quiet central Air conditioning (No noisy under the window units)10) Quiet at night, all tenants are very quiet and Sam the owner is on premise and takes personal care of everyone. Example: I was laying at the pool and unprompted he brought me an extra towel and a cold bottle of water.11) Free internet and Comcast selection of Cable channels on the large flat screen TV.12) There are 3 restaurants (Argentinian, Greek and Mexican) on the same block, literally 1-2 min. walk.13) Dry cleaners are next to the restaurants and very friendly and reasonably priced.14) Hot water works, the bed linens and sheets are clean.15) You have to drive down a narrow alley to get to the parking garage, and I missed the alley entry first time I drove past, but no biggie, I can find it every time now.16) 2-3 minutes walking distance to Nordstroem and the Galleria17) Employees are very helpful and friendly and offered to carry my suitcase to the room.18) I had to call the night concierge as I arrived after midnight.

Falsely booked their hotel on Hotwire, and called both Hotwire agent and Oyo hotel to change the booking. First, Hotwire agent put me on hold and hung up on me. Called the hotel and they asked me to call the Hotwire agent. This is like a loop of scam.Later they told me cannot cancel the booking because all sale are final. This is ridiculous.Poor customer service!!!

Not good at all. We booked through Expedia. We were charged also. But they did not have any communication with Galleria Garden, consequentially we had no reservation for the day we booked, we got refund and went someplace else. Galleria garden needs some PR and communication lessons.

Office personnel only during business hours, door wouldnt lock.But its cool how the building was built around the palm trees. And the pool looks nice.

I booked room on booking .com I get to hotel I forgot my ID card, I explained that I was just here 2 weeks ago is there a way to use other copy lady pretty much acted like she could not understand me so I found Id I left at pls check cashing on south side so I take bus back to pls before I left I told her and the other guy I was going to get Id and I will be back when I got back ot took 30 minutes for the guy washing his car drinking with a gun on his waist band that is very dangerous, he even flashed the gun more than once as in my interpretation dont make me work he had to call 2 other workers when they arrived they told me it was canceled I did not cancel booking I still have confirmation and e mail where money was taken out my account ,desk way of solving this was t ok have me pay 60 $ cash for another room which I had to it was late and the smokers were out full force n o w I know that its g oing to be a Hassel getting my money I would settle for another night but theydont have any customer service skills, they are mostly mad for what I dont know

Despite my decision making skills being drastically un honed...i talk english good and you aint oughtta dune stay attem places atchall thayse uh no guud and smelly too! Can i borrow a dollar ...and a mask...i could use a ride too..matter ID fact what size shoes are those? Dont matter..preciatchuuuh!

0 stars if possible. Was left stranded at time of our check in due to no staff being at the location. Office was literally vacant. We received a key to an already occupied & trashed hotel room & was never able to get a new room or speak to anyone about it.

The staff is rude the sink disposal doesnt work bathtub clogged they hate giving you towels or if you ask for anything they give you attitude!!! save your money its not worth it and they literally made me cry :(

This place is A LITTLE PIECE of HEAVEN, their location is phenomenal. The apartments are very nice and I have a couple of friends that are living comfortably at this Galleria property!

If you from the city then you know why this is the ideal place for all the Pz and Hustlaz worldwide but if you not from out here and just visiting I recommend the Hilton next door and just coming by to get your fix and go IJS. Other than that the management here is Solid and fair.

The worst experience I have had in many years in a hotel, this is the most disgusting I have visited, and the price has nothing to do with it I have been in hotels of 50 dollars and I have had very good experiences. But this is the worst the super hot rooms the photos they put on the web are not the real ones the elevator has no light, there is garbage everywhere, it has no carpet the rooms there is no microwey or refrigerator, please do not stay in that place

Considering where this is located I was surprised by how rundown this place is. Needs a lot of updating and on-site security should be strongly considered if not already present (I didnt see any security personnel).

Very clever experience when staying at the hotel, there is no cleaning of the room, they clean the house for two weeks, you have to clean your room, the prices are not fixed, the rates go up, between paying 32 a night and ending up paying 64 a night, there is Many drug addicts in the area that make you uncomfortable when you arrive at the place, the air conditioners do not cool well, I can only say terrible hotel, 0 stars

Oyo hotel group runs this place. The location of the hotel is amazing, the rest is garbage. We stayed in a 2-room room with a kitchen. The hotel is filthy, you will be afraid to step on the carpet on the floor. Dont believe it when it says it has a kitchen, there are 3 bad pans and 3 plates. The TV remote does not work and the wifi does not work. Go stay somewhere else. .I stayed at another hotel owned by Oyo and it was terrible too.

I paid for a room and when I entered the room it was open, all dirty, with food, garbage on the floor, on the bed, in the bathroom, truly horrible

I stayed in that hotel since February 24th and until today, March 19th, they have not returned my $100 deposit.
