I love Carolyn at Moxie Studio! Her facials are super relaxing. Shes very knowledgeable about her craft.Only mark down is, Im not a big fan of Shelby. Im a big girl and when I got my brazilian done by her, it was very painful. I usually help by holding some of my skin but she did not keep any of my skin taught so it was very painful when she removed the strips.Id come again for Carolyn though!

✨Happy Holly Review✨A couple weeks ago, I had the Mellow Me Out CBD Infused Therapy with Carolyn at Moxie Studio on Michigan Avenue and M59. The experience began with a foot soak and back massage, followed by attention to my legs, feet, and hips. Next came applications of soothing towels before moving onto facial treatment accompanied by scalp, arm, hand and shoulder massages for ultimate relaxation.Carolyn is gentle and friendly. I felt totally comfortable. I feel wonderful now!Highly recommend A++

I just had eyebrow tinting done with Julia. She told me to trust the process but I was a little hesitant afterward. I got in my car and gave my eyebrows a good wipe and had one spot that I wasn’t too sure of. I went back inside and just asked her about the one spot and she touched it up for me and explained why it may of looked the way it did. She was absolutely great and very professional! I will be going back to her once I need tinting done again. Thanks Julia!

I had a great experience with Madalina for a spray tan. She was professional and made me feel very comfortable. The color was perfect and even throughout. I requested a light natural look as I am fair skinned. She also provided great instructions for how to care for my tan. Would highly recommend!

I always visit the studio for the infared light sauna. Im not sure whos communicating with me via email, but they are extremely responsive and kind. the sauna is very clean and relaxing. I hope to check out some of the other services soon.

I had the best facial that I have ever had from Carolyn today. My friend took me out for a day of fun for my Birthday. It started with both of us getting a facial at the Moxie Studio. Carolyn did my facial, and Julia did my friends facial. Both of us were so happy with our facials. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. We both agreed that we will be back.

I called very last minute for an appointment and Julia was able to fit me in! I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for 7 years or so, and that was the least painful wax I’ve ever had. I barely even noticed much pain at all. She made me feel comfortable and asked my preferences. Highly recommend services from her!

I had the best, most personalized facial from her more recently, and can’t wait for another. She pays close attention to detail, is very professional and personable! Amazing massage and facial!If you have never been you need to see Faith-The Healer massage therapist extraordinaire! Truly heals you from inside out! I was pleasantly surprised as She used the perfect amount of pressure and checked in with me periodically but not too much (I like little convo) and was in total relaxation mode. She asked questions prior to start and was thorough, used amazing oils and bed was warm, cozy and the studio is spotlessly clean, another huge plus!I know that 1 hour goes quick So next time I will be getting 90 minutes for sure!Faith is incredible and her massages are fantasticThank you again!I also was able to get a facial as well and was treated like royalty! Erin has excellent services! I always come out of her studio feeling, refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated! Her knowledge is amazing and her studio is always very clean. I love how she explains the steps and purpose for each one, ensuring that your skin is getting the best results from treatments. Ive also been using the skin care line that she carries and it is producing very effective results as well! I love being able to put more natural products on my body. I had my first facial today and it was awesome. Erin was so professional and made me feel very comfortable. She uses only natural products and my face feels so good. My foot massage was great, also. Her studio is very cozy and inviting. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family.

I received a gift certificate for Mother’s Day for a wonderful massage. I booked my appointment with Ashley and I have not stopped talking about the experience! This was the first massage that I have ever had. Ashley was so professional and kept me involved the whole time. Her touch was amazing and the smell of the oils were intoxicating. I really appreciated that Ashley asked ahead of time if I had used essential oils before and had me choose the ones that I liked. I didn’t have to use any if I didn’t choose to. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the the whole place. Everything was very clean and tidy. The ambiance of the small studio puts you in a calm state as soon as you step inside. I will definitely be booking another massage with Ashley and I will continue to spread the word about this gem of a studio!

I am so very satisfied with Moxie Studio! I get a regular bi-weekly massage with Ashley and monthly facials with Erin. I am always made to feel pampered! Erin makes sure every client feels special and she appreciates my business and constantly lets me know, by giving absolutely top rated service the Studio is so very clean and soothing.

Since the second I met Erin I knew I was in the right place. She listens, educates, and treats you with such love during your time together. She never makes me feel stupid or uncomfortable in my skin. My skin has been hard to handle for as long as I can remember and she’s been so patient with the process of getting me where I want to be. I’ve had monthly facials with Erin since Sept 2017 and jumped on the monthly massage train with Ashley shortly after. Ashley makes it so easy to escape reality and I feel incredible after her sessions! Everyone there is just so inviting and friendly. Tons of services, very professional, clean studio, and always smells AMAZING. As a small business owner, I love supporting others with their passion and I LOVE that I get people who arent in a rush to get you in and out of your appointment and actually connect with you as a person. This place is incredible! So clean and such a cute spot. A little hard to find because it is in a shared building, I had a wax, and Julia was amazing! So welcoming and helpful. If I could give Moxie Studio 10 stars I would! The service is incredible. Amanda is no joke, the BEST massage therapist I’ve ever had. She really gets in there and gets your body feeling relief right away. Without bruising or overly tender like other massage practices I’ve been to. She always gets it right! And let’s not forget to mention how nice the studio is (coffee/tea bar by the fireplace is my jam) & it’s super easy to get to! Love this place and highly recommend it. No need to go anywhere else. This was my first time at Moxie Studio and I had the Madalina for my wax appointment. I have been getting waxes for two years now and this was the most comfortable and painless wax session I have ever had. I highly recommend Madalina for your next appointment!

I was really unsure about going for the 90-minute facial, due to how long and expensive (to me) it was. I decided to pamper myself after talking with the receptionist, and THANK GOODNESS! THIS. WAS. AMAZING!Not only do they have scheduling online, they had a same day appointment for me. Julia was fantastic. I felt relaxed, cared for, and pampered.I also really appreciated the samples of all the products they used on me.I truly enjoyed my experience. Spa treatments are experiences for me. I want someone who knows what they are doing, can relax me, and the products work for my skin. They delivered. I will be back.

Moxie Studio hires very friendly people. From the receptionist to the Moxie professional team, who are all there to serve their customers needs in a very relaxing environment. I personally work with Ashley who is an amazing massage therapist. She is very knowledgeable about human anatomy and I always leave feeling better than when I came in. Moxie Studio is definitely five stars in their field of expertise and I highly recommend them.

Ive been there twice now, once for a leg waxing a couple years back, and more recently for a facial waxing with Julia and a massage with Ashley. Each service was fantastic; they were attentive, professional and did an amazing job. Theyre also all highly knowledgeable in their field. I cant imagine receiving bad service here.Also, if youve never been here before, theres a good sized parking lot in the back of the 204 building if parallel parking isnt your thing. Its also handicap accessible since the back door opens to the bottom floor where the studio is.

I have gotten my eyebrows and an AMAZING The Plant Purist Luxury Facial by Madalina and I cannot recommend her and these services enough! The facial was both informative and rejuvenating, as she helped me see how to correct some facial scarring and hyperpigmentation. Madalina understands melanated skin and listened as I told her my concerns. A month out the products she recommended have transformed my skin. Her eyebrow work is also on point and I only go to her in the area. Highly recommend the studio and her!

The Moxie Studio is hands down the best salon in Livingston County! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. It’s an excellent place to actually RELAX at! Amanda offers great deep-tissue massages as well as pre-natal massages. She caters well to any preggo mamas out there and will leave you feeling like a million bucks! I had the pleasure of having a facial done at Moxie Salon in Howell. I felt very comfortable with Erin and she took the time and care to educate me about skin care. I also had my armpits waxed and it really wasnt painful at all. My husband and I are boaters so I plan on returning for a bikini wax before pulling out the bathing suit. I would highly recommend Erin at Moxie Salon for any skincare or waxing needs.

First time for a therapeutic massage, recently diagnosed with PMR. Ashley was fantastic, during & after felt amazing. The massage was just the right pressure, during massage we communicated where pain was. I would highly recommend & massages will now be on my weekly schedule.

I had my first-ever Brazilian wax last night with Julia and despite the obvious discomfort thats going to come from having hair ripped from your body (fun!), it couldnt have been better. Not only was she thorough and personable, but she made me feel at ease throughout -- no small task since, again, you know, the hair ripping out part. The studio is super adorable, easy to access and very clean. Id also add for anyone reading this who isnt a size 4 and worried about exposing yourself to someone for the service (which I was; Im a size 12) -- dont give it a second thought. Julia (and Im assuming the entire staff given how lovely they were in my interaction with them), was nothing but gracious and lovely. Didnt cross my mind once I dropped trou. :) Ill def be back for this and other services with Julia and/or the team. What a little gem in downtown Howell!

Julia is AMAZING !I got a Brazilian Wax and an Eyebrow Tint/Wax from Julia. With both she was very quick but detail oriented. My eyebrows especially have never looked this good before!The spa was very clean and everyone was incredibly nice and friendly!I will.be going back in very soon !!

I went to Moxie studio yesterday for the first time to get a facial. It was a great experience from booking on the phone with Ashton and then meeting him and my wonderful esthetician in person. They have wonderful customer service skills which is very important to me. As my twin sister said afterwards, you skin is glowing. It was so relaxing and I appreciate the free goodie bag afterwards. Ive been seeing Amanda for 2 years now and its made a HUGE difference. If youre looking for a massage that breaks up all those knots, allows for a good alignment and improves your mood GO SEE HER! Seriously, I can tell when its been a month. Im not nice, super tight and stressed and generally grumpy. Yes, I should do more yoga, yes, I should stretch more. At least Amanda can reset me so I can vow to start that yoga routine AGAIN...until life takes over!

Madalina was amazing!! She was very knowledgeable about the best treatment for my skin . I have very sensitive skin and she was in-tune with my pain and sensitivity levels. After my session I felt lighter and overall happier!!

Amanda works wonders. She knows how to work out the knots, relax the muscles in my neck, back, and legs. She seems to know just what to do everytime I get a massage. I have been getting massages for 30 years, and Amanda is the best I have seen. My headaches go away and just think clearer. Amanda has the gift!

Moxie Studio did a great job on my airbrush tan!! Olivia explained every step throughly and I felt totally comfortable with her throughout the whole process. I didnt look orange at all and after the first rinse several hours later it looked perfectly bronze and natural. My feet and hands turned out great. I will definitely be using them in the future!The also made sure to dry you off after and pat down with a towel so there were no streaks or dripping. She also had me check and asked if I wanted to go darker or not. Then she applied powder so I wasnt sticky at all leaving which no other place has done before! I have been using the spray booths (versa pro and mystic tan) and was losing faith, it always smelled, was orange and blotchy but they reminded me how great an airbrush tan can be and it smelled great! I look forward to going back :)

Great service and better prices than my last spa. They have a lot to offer. The facility is clean. Im not crazy about country music so Id rather have spa music.

Erin is simply the best. She is professional, educated and honest. During one visit she suggested that I get something that she spotted on my face checked out. It was something that my own dermatologist missed and ended up being skin cancer. I am so grateful that she noticed this and suggested that I get it checked out.

Great experience! The only issue that I had was that they raised the prices of the facial that I get without notifying me. I wish they would of honored the normal pricing when I booked instead just charging me the new price and then notifying me of the price increase.
