If I could put 0 stars I would! This place is EXTREMELY RACIST, don’t even try going here if you are black (especially men)! I have tried to go here 3 different times, not because I wanted to but because my friends begged me to try, and each time there has been a problem with what I am wearing! To add salt to injury, they let in a white man that was wear practically the same thing as me in after the just denied me because of “dress code”, when I asked the bouncer “why” he just said “I can’t help you” and proceeded to call 8 cops over for 2 people, OVER A DRESS CODE ISSUE!! This establishment NEEDS to be shut down and revamped by a new owner because these reviews make downtown Huntsville look bad as a whole!

This is not a club where black people can be themselves. The barely want them in there. Dress policy on males is strict. (Only for black males) if you get denied for wearing something like a beanie or shades they won’t let you take it off and come back they deny you for the whole night. Managers and owners stand behind security picking and choosing who to let in. I would not be coming back

This place would have so much potential if they had a different owner. The owner is racist and doesn’t want a lot of black people in his club. Took my money and kicked me out for wearing shades. The DJs play old, lame music except for BARRY BANGERZ! I say that to say, stop going here and giving them y’all money! Go across the street where you can wear whatever you want and still have a good time! Sammy Ts is not the place to be!

Had a very unfortunate time here at Sammy T’s. We are club promoters and we travel across the country looking for hot clubs in America. We heard about Huntsville from the USNews report listing Huntsville as the #2 city to live in the United States. We decided to travel here and see what all the hype was about. At first the club seemed very entertaining. There were lots of people and good club music playing. We paid $250 for VIP service. However one of the guys in our group was kicked out for a “dress code violation”. We talked to the owner to try and understand the situation a little better. He said they couldn’t do anything about it and we were basically out $250. We read the reviews before coming and noticed a lot of reviews mentioning racism. The member of our group that was kicked out was indeed African American. It is a very unfortunate circumstance and the owner was very reluctant to reason. I would not recommend this club and will be leaving an official review on our YouTube and Instagram pages. Sammy T’s, it’s 2024, do better.

So we were Just at Sammy Ts in Downtown Huntsville Alabama and I was ASSAULTED by a bouncer there. He dragged me out of the establishment by my throat picked me up and tossed me to the ground. I have cuts on my legs! The owner is a RACIST who didnt do a thing about it!I have made a police report and am contacting my Family lawyer FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING!Issue started because we paid for 2 drinks and they didnt put liquor in them. So I asked if they could be remade and the little bartender started rolling her neck and popping her gums! Then she has me thrown out. Club shows favoritism to other races , service was very rude , the owner was rude as well security. Would not recommend .. the dj needs a new profession cause he constantly plays the same music. You barely like African Americans, yet you love to play our music and say the N-word often? Make it make sense … RACIST

Paid for VIP with friends and had one of my friends kicked out within the hour. Friend was told that it was because of a “dress code” violation but he wasn’t dressed any differently than the other individuals in the group. The only difference being that my friend was black while neither me nor the rest of the group were minorities.

I see the owner won’t respond to any of the reviews about racism. To be perfectly clear the atmosphere, if you are black and can even make it in ; is great because they play our music and pop music. They let few blacks in but you definitely have to look the part to get in ;while they let white people in looking tattered with no problem. This girl literally got in with holes in her sweats and the bottom of her sweats looked like she just walked through mud but you won’t let certain clothing on a black person in?? A change needs to happen for real. You can tell the people in the front hate letting blacks in because their whole demeanor changes , even if you smile and speak. We like different types of music, we like interacting with other people with different backgrounds and ethnicities. Stop treating us like we’re not welcomed and if not make it clear and put a sign up . Be bold if you’re gonna be racist . Your bold in your disrespect towards us in person . Let’s see how long this place last once the right people see this. Other people know people in high places as well. Be aware of who your disrespectful to and show kindness to everyone no matter there skin color .

This place IS racist. Normally my friends and go out to other spots like Cru, Vibes of Huntsville, 708, & SZNDS. We wanted to try something different so we went downtown. If your black you’re probably not getting in. It’s like the paper bag test at the door. Nor do they address any comments regarding racism.. which shows a lack of care or inclusivity.

Horrible place. Was absolutely disgusted by the professionalism of the bouncers. The music sucked and the drinks were very weak.If someone is looking for a good club, Whiskey Bottom is a great great choice

Clb was ok .. I saw mixed crowed no discrimination or nothing I saw people wearing sneakers I was on. Vip .. security was strict tho .. but the crowd is mixed ! I like it

The bouncers here are “intellectually and developmentally disabled” to put it nicely. My girlfriend was having a tough night after a death in her family and was intoxicated.I specifically asked the scrawny bouncer to help me out so that I could get her home safely and help her sober up. The trashy bouncer gave me a feces-eating grin and stamped her hand and admitted her into the bar.To say they are incompetent is an understatement. This bar and its employees prey on the misfortune of others. Avoid this place at all costs.EDIT: Since the owner chose to respond—prohibiting people to enter on the basis of their race and skin color is “very controlling and very creepy”. Racial discrimination is unacceptable.Your bar smells like stale urine and your bouncers are puny rednecks that could use a gym membership. How you can afford to keep the lights on in 2023 is beyond me 😂

Update: three years later, and they are still using the “dress code” to actively discriminate against people. i will never go to a business that is openly known for racism and homophobia. i’m APPALLED at the behavior from the staff and owners of this business. as much as huntsville is growing, this just makes our city take a step backwards. it’s so obvious the owner of this business peaked in high school and skipped out on college and any business ethics classes and just got the money from their parents to start a racist club.

Racist as hell. Blonde bartender claimed I caught an attitude after speaking up because she “couldn’t hear because it was loud”. She then said “try your luck with another bartender” & walked off. I followed her and told her I only spoke louder because she claimed she couldn’t hear me, she then called security to kick me out. I’m glad because I was about to spend ALOT of money in an establishment that doesn’t even like my kind. Me and some friends went to this place on Friday March 10, 2023 & it was the worst experience ever ! I have never experienced RACISM since I been in Huntsville. My friends was denied because they had red in their shoes and ripped jeans. Then when we ask the security guards what wrong with our clothes he said read the policy & it will tell you. The rules for this club is for BLACK PEOPLE ONLY. I saw many white people going in with the same thing on but yet we was denied. I’ll never recommend anyone to go here ! If I could leave -0 stars I would !

Pay attention to these reviews. This place is not for everyone, and they do a great job of letting you know its not for you. I disregarded the reviews here and decided to go. Fun place to go hang and dance with friends, but terrible management. Women can go in there wearing whatever they want(which isn’t a problem), but they’re strict on guys. Me and my friend got denied because we were wearing a white shirt and it was supposively “gang affiliated”. They also wouldn’t let me friend in because he had a couple of holes in his jeans. Guys can’t wear jerseys in there either. The DJ will also play the same songs over and over and it just kills the vibe. Overall a 3/10

The male bartender thats closer to the dance floor steals money from you by lying about drink prices only to black people and he doesnt put liquor in the drinks ,I was charged 47 dollars for three 7dollar drinks , yeah he charged me more than double but you know krama is my boyfriend so let the fun begin.

This place might be the most racist place in Huntsville Alabama. The dress code is understandable if it was a place of class, but it is not it is full of underdressed security guards that think they are better than God himself. Let me start with the first week I tried to get inside. I was wearing red and gray SB Nike Dunks(picture below). The security guard said to me that the shoes had exotic colors and I couldn’t get them. When a white woman in an all-red sweater walked in right passed security I asked if is red an exotic color or if is it just an exotic color for black men. He proceeded to say the dress code only applied to men. I knew then that their racism was in full effect. I came back a few weeks later and made sure my dress was up to code to these ridiculous standards. The same security guard stopped me and said my JORDAN 11 “cool greys” (pictured below) were patent leather and they were too shiny. I debated with him for a while and asked for his manager. The guard flagged down the police as if I was stealing or robbing him because I asked him to speak to someone above him. He also stated, “how dare you tell me what I can do”. This statement made it seem like he was in a hierarchy and I was less than them. Jim Crow has been abolished for years now but places like this still enforce some of the same rules. They need to be shut down and bought out by people who want to have a good time and want business from all shades sizes and colors. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RACIST SLEEZY PLACE.

This is by far the worst club in Huntsville. I was denied entry for wearing light blue slacks. The guy at the door said I had the wrong color pants on. As I’m looking in the club there were all type of colored pants and clothing that people were wearing. It’s another way of him saying that my skin was wrong color. I noticed quite a few men of color being denied entry. Modern day racism at its finest. So sad it’s about to be 2023😁

Ive never been here since I dont drink, but I do regularly walk around downtown and have been given dirty looks by management, staff, and owners while walking by in hijab. Ive had countless friends denied entry for dress code which is pretty obviously code for being Black.Usually I dont like to review businesses Ive never been to but Ive had enough negative interactions with staff, enough friends insulted and discriminated against, and enough embarrassment from living in the same city as this disgusting place.Before you waste your time at Sammy Ts, go instead to Phat Sammys where diverse clientele are treated with respect

It was my 21st birthday and my bf got denied for his shorts that he was wearing bc he had on athletic shorts. Then we went to are car bc he had jeans in his car we had walked a long way and waited in a long line twice. He got denied the second time. Bc apparently once u get denied the first time u can’t get in. I honestly wish someone would have said something to us instead of wasting our time and honestly the security guard was really short and rude just wanted some type of power. Do not go here.

RACIST! This club makes their own dress code specifically for blacks. We were let in the BACK door because one of my friends had on blue shoes. There is NOT a great mix of music only music for mostly Caucasian. Do not recommend going here, DO BETTER HUNTSVILLE.

After attempting once to head inside with my friend of color they turned him away and he went to the car to change because he was breaking a overdramatic dress code they let him in once. After days upon days of me going and having to change my outfit I eventually brought my friend back and suddenly there was yet again another issue with his outfit, so he changed and they refused to let JUST him in because they said you only get one chance to get in which is very much not true because I had had to change Multiple times(I am white) so absolutely disappointed!DO NOT GO HERE

I’m from another state, came here 3 times and the little leprechaun security guard at the door wouldn’t let me in because he’s a racist. All these rules and regulations like the club is in Miami on Collions 😂 cut it out this is a juke joint. Every reason he said I couldn’t come in the club I saw a white person with the same thing on and was welcomed with open arms.

They discriminate based on people’s color and ethnicity. Will not let you in unless you are like them. The owner of the bar could not give me a reason why my friend from another country could not get in.

First time going, idk if it was the shot of vodka that I reacted bad to (I can handle my drinks), or maybe someone in the crowd was sick, but the day after I went there, I was horribly sick with a headache for 4 long days. Club was mid anyways, no one really started dancing till the last 2 hours (they closed at 0200), DJ was bad, crowd looked bored tbh. Just overall didnt like the place, bored crowd, and mid music. Theres better places.

This place has always sucked and been grimy. Huntsville needs better bars/clubs than this that people actually want to go to. I refuse to step foot in this place ever again. I’m from out of town and the DJ is cold! He played so many different genres of music and I love it. However, the bathroom is horrible. Omggggg it was so bad. It was like women was peeing on the floor. The entire place was wet due to spills and nobody trying to clean up. Drinks should not be allowed on the dance floor. The entire place was wet. I couldn’t believe no security was by the large crowds of people. So many people kept falling on the floor and one day the wrong person is going to fall and a lawsuit will happen. I hope they get a cleaning crew and be more aware of what’s going on inside the dance hall. Overall, the vibe is amazing. I’ll come again when the bathroom get better lol.

This may sound very sheltered but for the first time in my life I witnessed racism on a scale I did not realize still existed. I was waiting on a friend to meet us there when we received a text that the OWNER would not let him in because he was wearing baggy pants and his shoes had different colors. I met my friend outside and he was wearing a long sleeve, button down Ralph Lauren polo, Banana Republic blue jeans, and Nike shoes that were blue with a white sole. Honestly he looked very clean cut and well dressed. The only problem was the color of skin and ethnicity. Huntsville, Sammy Ts, and our community should be ashamed of this establishment. The whole thing brought me to tears. When I asked the owner why he was being racist, he said, You go buy a bar then. Its very sad he has a bar where he gets off on practicing prejudice behavior. To each there own. Im just so disappointed...

So for 2 years straight Ive been able to get into Sammy Ts no problem, but recently in the year 2020 I havent been able to get in. Last time I tried to enter I was declined at the door for wearing baggy pants like I was wearing windbreakers. Before that my cousin was denied for ripped jeans and I tried to be reasonable, but when we came back with a new pair of jeans he was denied again for White shoes. People I live around the area and I know it gets boring, but theres so many other places to get drinks and an establishment thats picky doesnt deserve your time or money. This place is a literal joke. My boyfriend was denied entry off the fact that his shoes were “too shiny”. What kind of excuse is that? Then they proceed to say to go look at the online rules for entry (which we had done prior to going out) it clearly says no exotic colored shoes. Who knew black was an exotic color. When I said this to the bouncer he just said “well he can’t get in” . I will never go back here again nor suggest it to anyone.

This place discriminates and the rules are contradictory. They will not allow men to bring in a small shoulder bag, to keep cigars in, but they would allow women to bring in purses, And they also do not allow you to smoke Cigars inside but they allow you to smoke cigarettes and blacks n milds.

If I could give a no star this would definitely be the place I was told I couldnt ware a cap in the club when I clearly see other people with caps on so I took it to the car and came back the second attempt they said I couldnt wear my jeans in the club so I ask what name brand jeans or color do I need to wear to get into your club he said plain solid color so I went to the car again and change into what he said the third attempt he said I cant keep changing close and coming back once they tell you no you cant come back . they should just simply tell black people that they dont want them in their club its a lot easier.

I wouldnt recommend this bar to anyone. This is the only bar i have ever been to that has charged me for water.1. They didnt let in a wedding party of 25 without paying cover, which is absurd.2. They charged me 2.50 for a bottle of water. The bar tender said she couldnt give me a glass of water. Absolutely ridiculous. Dont support this place, take your money somewhere else. Trashy bar with zero standards. I think it is time to rethink your business model.

I have to say this is by far one of the most unprofessional clubs I have encountered since Ive moved to Alabama, Ive tried twice to get into this club the first time my brother were denied for adjusting his pants and belt as he walked to the door. I must say the guy at the door was rude and couldnt give a legit reason not to let 3 casual dressed black men in except my brother should have adjusted his belt before he walked to the door. I tried once again and were denied myself for having Steve Madden casual boots that go barely past my ankles, the guy at the door said I were not allowed to get in because of combat style boots. I told him the boots were not considered combat style and that what he were doing was bad for business, when I asked about another guy that were inside of the club wearing timberland boots who were Caucasian and why he himself had on boots that were actually considered combat style he shook his head and said he does not make the rules and he just works there. I can honestly say I were discriminated just as many before me trying to get into this club because of the color of my skin, I will never try and give this place business again.

Ive been going to Sammy Ts for a long time. I have never worn anything baggy, athletic, gang-related, remotely unacceptable there but tonight because the owner is supposedly there, I cant get in because my khaki shorts are a little below the knee, which I have worn plenty of nights with no issue, is a problem tonight. I will not stand for it. I have a son and to think about what hes going to go through in years to come with the way this society is, I can not and will not support an establishment like this any more. My wife and I have never started any fights or caused any disruptions because were only about having a good time and dance the night away. They will not get our business anymore. Normally sammy Ts is the place for me but after tonight never again! The stupid dress code sorry I have more style than most people that come in there. My first time going was last night and I would say its a nice place. I was disappointed because I was told to take my hat off because it was a flat cap mean while my friends and I counted a total of 9 or more people with flat caps just like minds. Bended or flat its a hat so that was stupied especially after I told them it was my first time there. And the music really needs a little more variety.

I am a young African American male, I was with my friend, and weve got turned down because we was wearing Chuck Taylor sneakers, and we dressed very preppy. The Bouncer outside of the place told my friend he couldnt get in, because, he was wearing red, and Ive looked in and saw a White male wearing a red shirt and Chuck Taylors. Its very racist, we wanted to try something new for once and it didnt seem like that was going to happen. They were racist to my husband but said I could come in without him. Then after all the issues with not letting my husband in for his shirt because it said American Eagle,they turned around and told him because he had a Michigan license he couldnt get in without a local license. It was the dumbest conversation I had ever had to listen too.

Went to the Halloween party tonight at Sammy T’s. My girl had two Michelob Ultras and I had one coke. The tab was $17.59. I realize inflation is taking its toll, but this place is taking it to the extreme. I’ll never give them another chance to overcharge me.

I walked in and they told me to take off my hat. And Im like oh okay. No hats gotcha. And then I walk in without my hat and I see like ten different guys with baseball caps on. Theyre prejudice against certain types of hats.... How ignorant is that? Like why do they get to wear baseball caps but I cant wear my beanie...?

This club is located in Huntsville, AL. Temper your expectations. However, Ive been to clubs all over the world and $0.01 Beer Thursdays and $3 Fridays must be some of the greatest promotion anywhere.... thus the place can get packed... they have a fairly loose dress code and people just want to have fun.Dont go here expecting to be the belle of the ball... just grab a short mini-skirt, get your drink on, and grind to juvenile and usher...Its Huntsville, AL... no decisions to make on a friday night, just go here... and stop complaining... at least we have a place to go to...

Sammys is one of the hottest places around. We bought VIP booths for Ted Nugent last year and Bret Michaels just recently. Two awesome concerts. The service was great. The staff was very friendly. Ive seen some negative comments. I guess you cant make everyone happy all of the time.

This place blows. I get up there I cant wear a hat and everyone was wearing a hat inside . then my homie got throwed out like he was just ordering a drink and of course I had too leave too. Its the same way even at the pony. These big bouncers came up one looked like Magic Johnson.

I very much enjoyed the concert i went to see! What I did not enjoy the fact the the vip upstairs where ignored by bouncers as thay started fites, poored drinks, thro cigarett butts at others downstairs. bouncers watched with not a care in the world. The Staff where farly rude.

The bartender was VERY rude. Just becoming leagal I don’t know very much about bars or tabs and he didn’t help me any but yell at me and make me feel like I did something wrong. And the music also sucks. It’s 2018 I don’t want to hear music from the 1960s. I WONT be back.

Good place I guess. Im active duty military and left my ID and had to wait almost a week for them to open again to get my debit card back... even in Maine and las vegas I could call and come after hours and pay an extra fee to come pick my card up. Inconvenient as hell if you leave a tab open....

We went at peak time on Friday night, place was dead, no one dancing, everyone on their phones. Wasted $40 on uber and cover. No draft $4.00 bottle beer. Wont happen again.

The owner stabbed my cat 34 times with a fork then denied me entry because I was wearing a Peter Millar shirt.

Good vibes, music is repetitive. They need to switch the nights. Maybe do different music genres, or do different themes. Promote more... street promo and social media promo. Get special guest DJs.

Security was very rude twice once over my shorts had to go buy a new pair because mine were camo and the one who told me to put my over shirt back on when it got too hot in there was very rude will NOT be going back there.

Drove up there and they wouldnt let my cousins in because he was wearing red shoes. When we asked what was wrong with that we didnt get any explanation and were told he just couldnt go in.

BEWARE The security there jumps on anyone they can. Even if you are just standing there. They will hold you down and take turns hitting you. Not professional at all and the place should be investigated.
