I absolutely love Mayra! her work is always amazing and meets my standards for gel manicures and pedicures. I’ve never been able to have my own nails grow so long before but somehow she has been able to make miracles happen.I’m very picky when it comes to the shape of my nails and overall quality of service when it comes to getting my nails done and Mayra is also the same way which is why I believe she executes all her work at the same standard.What I also love about her besides her bright and warm personality is that she is always learning new techniques and always applying it to her work. Just a few weeks ago she took a course for Russian manicures and gave me a mini Russian mani and left my cuticles looking impeccable (red mani for reference)I’m a jeweler and runner so I’m constantly filing my nails away and hitting my nails on many things yet my manis and pedis always last so long with her and not even one broken nail to been seen yet 😁Highly recommend Mayra!! 🤍
I had a very bad experience. I got gel manicure with french tips. The base colour was not properly done, it started to come off as soon as I got home. The French tips were also uneven. Had a very bad experience. You guys need to improve your service. I paid $85 for this service. I require you guys to take some action on this. Atleast give me my refund.
I’ve been to so many salons in the city and northern jersey and my experience with Mariela today was so far above any other manicure I’ve gotten. Her attention to detail is actually insane! I got a Russian gel manicure and was super nervous since it can be a potentially dangerous type of manicure to get, but Mariela was so careful in every step and really took her time with everything. I’ve never had a nail tech that is even close to as meticulous and perfecting as Mariela, I can’t recommend her enough! The salon overall is also super clean and relaxing ☺️
I made an appt for an acrylic repair! She asked no questions and just started my repair! Meanwhile her daughter was playing on top of me and bumping my chair while my tech said nothing. My nail is an ombré which was airbrushed: she painted the base originally pink when it’s obviously nude. Once I said something she changed the color. After that continued to SPONGE my nail with black nail polish when I told her it was airbrushed she said she didn’t have time! Although another tech originally did my nails if she couldn’t have repaired it correctly I would’ve understood and went elsewhere . That being said I will not be back. The environment was very noisy and dirty as well!
Just moved to the area and finding a new nail spot can be tough! Had a great experience. Mariela has great energy and great attention to detail. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating when I was running late! Glad I found this spot!
I have had many bad experiences coming here but finally found the right nail tech and I am extremely happy. Paola is extremely meticulous and takes her time to listen to her customers and perfect your nails. I’ve gone back and will continue for her. Highly recommend her!
This is the first experience I ever got my manicure and I hated the experience. One wasn’t interested and did everything in a rush. I grew my nails long and she just cut it short and not at all in shape. The cuticles were not done properly, half of my nails look white. Overall did not like my first experience.
Idk, I came here because of a friends recommendation but Im gonna be honest Im not satisfied with my nails. I was supposed to get the design on all my nails but the lady that did them didnt wanna do them all so I just left it at three nails. I dont know why I would pay $20 extra dollars for a design on just one nail. It also doesnt look very close to the design i showed them initially. I requested some grey clouds, smaller clouds, in the original design some of the clouds overlapped and had variations. I paid $78 for this and it just feels so bad. Theyre uneven and theres bubbles in the nail publish, I asked her to do the other nails because she forgot, then she didnt put polish after. So some nails look dull and others dont. I think I give up on other people doing my nails right.Also, I tried calling to reschedule my appointment because I had something come up and they didnt pick up the phone. So dont try calling.
UPDATE FROM A PREVIOUS 5 STAR REVIEW...I am mortified at how my daughter was overcharged for a REFILL. I use to go to Cuteticles a lot but my tech move to a different shop. She went to my techs nail salon to get her original nails which cost $85. She decided last minute to want a refill for her school dance. I booked and it said $50. I then received a text of a $15 Add On which my daughter texted it was for 3 broken nails. I stopped by to pay and the girl wrote on the ticket it was $95. FOR A REFILL!?? When I questioned it the tech came up and said she was giving her a discount because it actually cost $130. When I told her explain that she said Medium Length cost (the length it already was and you did not put on), color matching (you mean the acrylic that is part of a refill), french design (it wasnt a french ombre set its painted) and 3 broken nails which was supposedly $15. WHERE DID YOU GET $130 LET ALONE $95 FROM A $50 REFILL!?? How is a refill more than the original set and that original set had a gem and design. I attached a photo of a $145 set I got with multiple hand made art work to show what a over $130 set looks like. The tech gave me the feeling she didnt expect an adult to show up. We will never be returning for over charging my daughter like that as of you wanted to take advantage of a child. This was supposed to give my child the opportunity to find her own long standing nail salon by her school. I do not appreciate this at all.
I tried contacting the Manager for this location and wasn’t able to get through.I did the dip powder manicure and not even a week later nail came off I contacted this salon and they told me manicure was done over a week ago and free of charge replacement didn’t cover so I had to pay again for nail replacement. I will think about coming in again.
Worst place ever. my nail is absolutely destroyed. The lady was taking off acrylic from my previous said I had two nails with acrylic on it. She was trying to rush through it. She soak them off in acetone then started using a sharp tool to try and dig them off my nail and she digged it to the point where my actual nail bed came off and I was bleeding like crazy then she proceeded to still put my hand in acetone, and it was still burning. Then she told me. That she cannot apply. On that nail which is understandable because I have an open wound since I was already there. I said OK I’ll get a short white acrylic. And so it can be simple and the nails and the nail with no acrylic wouldn’t stand out. Then she proceeded to do the short acrylic white nails and it came out so sloppy there’s nail polish on my hands and all the edges of my nails are messed up with the nail polish and the actual nail was not even smooth enough to be putting nail polish on it in some areas my nails look like i did it , in this case I should’ve done my own nails, but this was by far the experience ever especially on New Year’s Eve, where I have to go somewhere.
Amy is amazing! I’m always so indecisive on selecting colors or designs and then she just showed me an idea she had and it came up soooo nice! She was so patient and caring. As we were talking she offered all the other services including waxing !!! Although it was getting late she didn’t hesitate to give me the wax and she took her time and care throughout the whole time !! She is amazing! The place was also super cleaned , the lady cleaning was also so nice and friendly. Ambience was awesome.. I really love this place !!!!! Highly recommended
Usually I have a good experience but this time I had a terrible experience and made me want to stop coming. The nails came out uneven and bubble under. I talked to the technician about how unhappy I was with the result, she just ignored and gave attitude. She didnt try to correct it or anything.Also, during checkout, the person tried to charge me $2 extra for their own mistake of not updating their pricing online. If I was happy with the nails, I wouldnt mind paying that extra $2 but the whole experience with the technician ruined my expectation of this place.
Kimberly R. Is absolutely amazing. She needed up fixing a previous manicure of mine that turned out very bad, but she made it wonderful. She was kind, listened to my concerns, and paid attention to detail. Customer service was also excellent in helping me resolve my issue. I highly recommend Cuteticles and specifically Kimberly. I’ll be returning to her for my nails going forward and for my bridal nails! Thank you!
I did not have a great experience here , I went in today to get a gel manicure and classic pedicure done . The first photo is what I wanted but the lady said that she could not do it because she did not have time . Second my second photo is my left hand and my nails are shorter compare to my nails on the last photo . The nail lady did not check to see if the nails of both hand matched each other . I didn’t under stand how she did not have time I was not asking for any crazy designs . Lastly my nails were not smooth after she was done it was rough and I had to go home and try to smoothen it out myself. The classic pedicure was fine, but this was not worth $82 bucks . If I am going to pay this much I want someone to take their time . Will not be coming back .

The lady that was assigned to me rushed through everything, my feet were ok and my hands are horrible. She didn’t push back cuticles. So I went home did it myself and even though I got them done on Thursday they look like they need to get done again! I always came here and had a specific person who I love her work, but my husband didn’t know her name and I just gave it a try but very dissatisfied, even the front desk girl was like. “ you a finished gel pedicure and a new full acrylic set in one hour?” And the lady was like yes I did , the girl was like “oh wow, “ that tells you a lot… it’s too much money to be unhappy. Truly so disappointed every time I go there.. I’ve been in the service industry for over 10 years and they have some of the slowest, disregarding and lazy workers I’ve experienced at a place that people go to specifically to pay for quality service. I had to walk out with no service for my last two times appointments due to their lack of awareness and efficiency. Won’t be going back.
Make sure you see the technician work before booking with her! They gave me a girl that maybe was new and wasted $85 dollars for very ugly nails. I asked for something specific and what I received was completely different. Now I have to pay more to go somewhere else to get them removed and re done properly
I am still chocked how I let this happen - I am in so much pain since a good thick layer of my nails was removed by electric file or the nail tech just ripping off the gels of my fingers. I had some gel on my nails that I was ready to remove, but didnt have time to go to my regular place in Manhattan. Even after instructing the nail tech to use Acetone, she insisted that this type of gel only goes away by electric file. She didnt even try to see if its possible and ignored my comment that I ALWAYS get it removed this way. She even try to just pick at them and rip it off my nails directly (which of course takes a layer of your nail with it). The result is that of course she got a good layer of my actual nail and I am in so much pain I cant even touch anything with my fingers. The red part on my nails are where there is pretty much not a lot of actual nails left...Why do they think you cant remove the gel by acetone, who thought them this? why are they not listening to the customer?
I’ve been coming to cuteticles ever since I started getting my nails done. The people are so polite and welcoming. Even before covid restrictions this place was clean and right now they make sure your visit is just as smooth. Will recommend it to everyone to not only get their nails here, but also for the relaxing massages.
Cannot recommend Carolina enough. She is extremely detailed oriented, takes her time to make sure everything looks perfect, and I walk out super happy every time. Secretly I want to keep her all to myself lol!!! But seriously, go see her. She’s a Long nail queen! 🩷💅🏼

Im so sad to leave a bad review but I cant believe how quickly my nails fell apart. I initially loved them so much I tipped everyone more than I normally would. Got them done on valentines day and by the 16th the charms had fallen off and a few days later two nails broke at the tip. Now its 10 days later and Ive officially lost an entire nail. Im not sure if the products were just cheap or what but Im so disappointed. Everyone was very kind and I thought the work was good but they should not be falling apart like this just days later! Would not recommend.

I am usually very picky with nails but Lee did a GREAT job. I hate when nails are thick but this was perfect and makes my nails look natural. In the past, I went to a different nail salon to do uv gel and it looked horrible. So before I came here, I was already determined to get acrylic . But Lee told me to give it a try because it lasts longer and so I did . She warned me when it would be too hot and went through two rounds of cutting since I wanted shorter coffin nails. She definitely nailed it and would go back to her in the future !! Gotta say, she’s a pro
Lorena did my dip in pink! Absolutely Loved the look put the solid pink dip cracked twice & I came in for repair. Lorena however is very professional & she make your nails look so pretty.Ms. Kim talked me into a acrylic and gel polish since Lorena was on vacation. I like not worrying about nail cracking...but its not as pretty & natural as Lorena. However ms. Kim is a great tech. Everyone is nice! I was visiting fam so they would be my go to when in J-city! Just me❣
Ive gone to cuteticles many times, but after this last experience it will be my last there. I got there at 9:30 am, for a simple french tip medium length and gel pedicure. my nail tech was on the phone even before i started, and while that’s not a problem, it is when it starts to distract the nail tech from doing their job. After THREE HOURS, she finally finished my french tip, which wasn’t anything special and very basic french tip. I also got a couple small cuts during the process. Then, after my pedicure, it was a little past one. Ive almost been here for four hours, nothing extravagant either. when it was time to pay, they added $40 to my original estimate because apparently french tip is now an ADDED $30, without any warning either. The nail tech should’ve let me know it was going to be that much; it’s not a simple $5-10, $30 is the price for a regular gel set. I’m so disappointed with all these new dumb little charges, a real way to lose customers who have been going there for years.
Absolutely love this place so much I ditched my old nail place for this one ... the nail tech, Kimberly did an absolutely great job for my gel manicure and regular pedi. She’s the best! She was attentive and gentle - which is exactly what I wanted. I mean .. why go to a nail salon if u need to redo or can do a better job yourself, right? So yes! Going back to this place !!! :) and I’m referring all my friends.
The quality of their work has drastically decreased since they switched ownership. Their concierge team also does not resolve anything nor are they helpful. Poor communication from both the concierge team and owners.Update: I reached out to the concierge team and they were no help. Theyre deceptive in the comments on here.
Recently moved to Jersey City Heights and was looking for a new nail tech that would be closer to home. Previously visited the sister location across the street to get my eyebrows done so I knew the location was going to be just as nice as its sister loft style location. Made an appointment right on their website this afternoon and I was able to book something for this evening at 5:30pm. Front desk lady was super nice, sat me right at my scheduled time and made sure to give me all pricing information before my service. Salon was super nice, nail tech was precise and took her time. I wont mention the name of the tech , simply because everyone sitting around me had their nails slayed as well by the other techs. I love this super clean and friendly place. Will be back for fills every two weeks. Highly Recommend! Give this place a chance and check it out for yourself. Thanks Ladies !
Never usually get my nails done, but love coming here when its time to go on vacation! Its so accessible in Jersey City and close to a lot of food spots if you get hungry before/afterwards 😋 the service is quick and efficient and everyone is so nice and cleanly! Just got simple white gel nails but couldnt ask for better service! I had Dulce ❤
My best experience was with Lorena. She did an excellent job on my nails. Carolina gave me an excellent pedicure. Unfortunately , my second visit was horrible. The nail tech that did my nails and pedicure did a poor job. I wanted a simple French . When I left the salon I notice the polish was applied uneven and my French tip was also uneven. I returned the following day and I was told I would have to pay $15 for fixing my nails. The nail tech was adamant about me paying , but did not take the time to properly fix my nails.It was so bad she cut my cuticle . I spoke with the receptionist and she quickly told me not to pay, but had no intention of addressing the matter further.
Im actually really disappointed - especially because this place came highly reviewed via google reviews. I made an appointment but still had to wait 15 min. My lady rushed me through, and as a result my powder polish looks sloppy. Up close you can tell there are bubbles, and theres gaps between my polish and cuticles. They used a light with powder polish, which Ive never heard of before? There was also minimal clean-up, so I have polish on my fingers and around the tips of my nails. For $45 the service just simply wasnt worth it.Another woman was filling acetone bottles right next to me and spilled it all down my purse. Now I have stains on my leather purse. I understand accidents happen, but theres 0 reason to be doing that in a small nook between customers when you have the entire salon to work in.The entire vibe of the salon was just rushed and unfriendly. First and last time Ill be going to this place - Will not be returning. 2 stars because the manicure isnt terrible, but its sloppy.UPDATE: it has been 2 days since I got my nails done and they’re already falling apart. Such a waste of money, DO NOT go here.UPDATE: it has been 2 weeks and all of my nails have lifted and completely peeled off in sheets. ALL OF THEM. I’m seriously appalled I spent so much money.
I asked for an acryllic full set with gel polish. I was uocharged for a UV gel pink full set. It wasnt what I asked for and I ended up paying a full $40 more than I wanted. I couldnt argue because the technician went forward with the UV gel without me noticing. She took advantage of my ignorance. Then after spending $80 the work was sloppy, my nails were too short and some even crooked!!!
Have been here twice and had a good experience both times. I had one girl and she was a little rough and didnt quite get the nail shape I wanted but the quality was very good none the less. Second girl I had, Susan, was very good and did a very neat manicure. Very happy how it turned out both times. I have only had dip powder here but it lasted for 4 weeks and kept its quality (even though it grew out quite a bit). I work a lot with my hands and the fact that this didnt chip or lose its shine was a huge plus and decently priced too. They also have a large range of colors to choose from so the combinations are endless. I also got a same day appointment and when I arrived 10 mins early, I got seen right away and the hostess has always been polite and accomodating. I really do recommend this place.

Im really happy with the way they do nails. Usually I go to whomever can take me as a walkin or where I can get to for my fills the fastest, but I now make appointments at Cuteticles every time. You can book online or call, and very convenient to get appointments. They do also accommodate walkins as was my last fill.My nails never lift and I think I broke one tip off over the course of a few months. Excellent quality, tons of color selections, gel or regular polishes included.Another huge room for pedicures as well.Highly recommend!
Friendly staff and they do an awesome job. Great prices and love their way of advertising, they send a text when your appointment is booked and call before your appointment is scheduled. The place is very clean and they have a huge color selection, the massage chairs are amazing when getting a pedicure. Also love that you can cashapp your tip directly to the person who took care of you incase you dont have cash on you.
(Don’t do your nails here) Let me start by saying this is my second time at this nail salon. My first experience at this shop was about two months ago. I realize that they were very busy. I never was able to really get an appointment when I called. I thought because of this that they were a very good nail salon (wrong) The first time I had a guy did my nails. The polish was very blotchy and spent like $65 on just my nails. I decided to try a bazillion for the first time which was around $50. I signed up with their membership hoping that I found somewhere that was really good, wrong! Renee was very nice at first. The Brazilian was all wrong even though it was my first time I knew for a fact that there wasn’t supposed to be large patches of hair all over. Even had to ask her to redo what I felt and saw over again. Renee seemed irritated. So I left and called the next day to see if I could reschedule a appointment to get majority of the hair removed. Side note ( didn’t have that much hair to begin with). The Lady at the front desk was extremely nice and try to reschedule me. But was unable to because I guess they were always full. After about five days they finally scheduled me for a redo. Renee came out and started complaining. Explaining to the Hostess that she had a customer but I had an appointment that I’ve been waiting almost a week for. She got into a bit of an argument again with the hostess. At this point I did not want Renee to do my Brazilian And I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The Lady at the front desk apologized and said that she would get me a refund. Which never really happened they actually put it on credit. And Wanted me to reschedule. At this point I decided not to do a Brazilian. I came by today to get a Full set which costs $50. The credit that they gave me was $39. I’ll just let the picture speak for itself. I will not be coming back to this nail salon to say the least.
I love Cuticles and have been going here for years now. But for the past year, it’s been a hit or miss with the service at this location. Ann is my usual nail tech and she does an AMAZING job, but unfortunately I can’t say the same for other nail techs I’ve had there. My last visit before my most recent set the nail tech showed up ten minutes late, was talking on the phone the entire time, and messed up my nails so bad that when Ann saw them she couldn’t believe they were done there. Luckily now I know to book with Ann and HER ONLY. It’s a nice local spot with talented nail artists, they just need to work on their customer service/attention.
I havent been to many nail salons in the area and saw that this salon had great reviews and decided to give it a shot. I got there at 9:20 a.m. for my 9:30 appointment and was taken right away which was nice.When I sat down with my technician, she began to use the drill to take off some of the acrylic that was left from my last set. I also showed her the design of the set I wanted to get and she gave me the color swatches to look at. While drilling, she also attempted to get rid of my cuticles and drilled too much that my thumb started bleeding. Nice.Then, she glued on the nails and applied the acrylic which burned, but was fine. It got to be an hour and some into the appointment and she was still filing and buffing my nails. That was when my pinky started to bleed because she pushed the skin and filed it too hard.When she finally finished and I went to show her the design again, she said that she didnt have time to do my design. I literally was about to cry. I have gotten acrylic sets for many years and understand that sometimes it takes awhile to shape properly, but this was a scheduled 90 minute appointment and we were 75 minutes into it. She kept repeating that she didnt have time and kept checking on her next client who was in the salon while doing my nails. I told her that I understood she didnt have the time, but I was still extremely disappointed and upset. Its a clean and nice place, but very underwhelming and disappointing experience overall.
Horrible! The worker that attended me has no experience. I have to redo my gel toes! I didn’t even finish my manicure because she didn’t clean my nails. I had her put a clear coat and left. She was nervous the whole time to the point the water hose for the pedi went on and she sprayed water all over my sneakers and socks. I was nice enough to give her $5 tip. It was a nightmare!
They do have good nail techs for acrylic nails and acrylic nail design. No one is able to tell you they DONT really offer dip nails, most nail techs don’t know how to do it, and the owner doesn’t have the full system/ proper products for the nail techs to be able to do it. I was in the salon for 4 hours and I left with no nails- that’s how bad they looked from repeated dip nail failed attempts. Unfortunately won’t be returning.

There’s too much hype for a place that does very mediocre work . i came in for french acrylic gel manicure & french gel pedicure . my mani is DISGUSTING . my nail shape was supposed to be square but they’re giving duck nails instead & none of the french designs on my nails match . i got short nails & she did this stupid large oval french design on all my nails , i could’ve just gotten them painted white because 70% of my nails are just white because of how thick she did the design . the pedi was okay , she cut the big toe nails way too short . nobody let me know that it was an extra charge for me to get french on my toes & they did nothing about it when i told them i never been here before so i didn’t know about the up charge . $140 gone to waste
Been going here for years but it’s fallen off so much. I go in for a gel pedicure when I’m in need/in a rush. 1st and foremost they charge for a cut down…. $5 extra to cut your toe nails. lol. Second the polish always seems too translucent and you can see part of my nail/unevenness. I don’t know the quality of their gel polish bc the gel polish has peeled off my nails naturally twice now. I’m really disappointed as it’s a clean salon and the staff is friendly. They are too focused on expanding and making the most money and I don’t support these practices.
I’m going to start by saying that i did love my nails the lady that did them did such a great job but i was not happy with the following i am a first time customer i was given a gift card for my birthday to this place i said i would try i was suppose to get my nails and pedicure done when i made the appointment i was asked what was i getting done i said a refill and pedicure i get there get my nails done and because i did a design they denied my pedicure because they said i got a design done and it took up my time when i called i wasn’t asked was i getting a design i was just asked me what i was getting and i specifically said refill and pedicure I’m sorry as a first time customer they could’ve asked theses questions and also accommodate me since it was my first time I’m very upset and will be calling to speak to a manager the girl there was very rude and not helpful at all

I went there my Neil repair and they refused it bcz they thought it was risky to put tip on it since it was broken from roots. I was going at this place since 6 years but no longer will come back here. Worst experience ever.
Ann is the best. she took care of me when i came in last minute for acrylic nails. she was super gentle and detail oriented with my nails, and took the time all the way til closing (7:30) to finish up my nails so they came out perfectly. i made sure to tip really well! ive been here a total of 3 times and i have never been disappointed. coming back to ann every time now. love cuteicles!
I reallyyyyyy wanted to like this place. The receptionist was super nice but my nail tech was just ok. The actual polishing of my toes was meh; Im greatly disappointed. For a $25 pedicure plus tip, I dont think theres much to recommend. What a disappointment since this is supposedly one of the better salons on Central. While I messed up the polish (you can see my knicks), you can also see the edges that were painted poorly :(
Minerva is the worst nail tech possible. Spend two hours just buffing nails that were in the most crooked shape possible after adding acrylic, had to ask for a new nail tech to take over her poor job that was then able to complete the nails in only 30mn after rebuilding from scratch !Customer service was wack as we got charge more for a mistake that happened out of our will. Time is valuable
I called their customer service and booked an appointment so I could do UV gel, and I came half an hour early and the girl at the desk didn’t tell me anything. And the appointment was 10 minutes late. And finally when it was time to do my nails she told me “ why didn’t you tell me over the phone that you had nail polish” and after all that she still didn’t put on what I wanted. So I wasted my whole day here. So next time you come here you have to be very specific. Waste of my time and in my opinion this is bad service. Every one else was very kind tho
I went today for the first time to get my eyebrows waxed. I’m so disappointed with the service. It’s ridiculous that I went in and they were lost on why I was there at the time I arrived as if I didn’t have an appointment. The person who did my eyebrows clearly didn’t want to do them. She didn’t give me a mirror to make sure everything was okay at the end and they didn’t have any out there for me to check either. I was already feeling anxious by how they were at the time I arrived that I was afraid to ask for it. It felt rushed and my eyebrows are just terrible. Missing hair from half of one at the top and the other she didn’t even clean at the bottom properly. This is not a good place unless you speak Spanish to them because I understand it very well and chose not to speak up when I heard a few things. Hate that type of treatment and I do not recommend…
I came here for a pedicure after seeing the positive reviews but this was absolutely the worst! The tech butchered my toe nails. She cut my cuticles so deep and cut the sides of the nails in a manner that is inviting ingrown nails. I’m very patient and while she was very nice I left with a mess of a pedicure and aching little toes! The process even hurt and I couldn’t wait to be out of there.
It’s really disappointing that I have to give this rating. The first time I came here I had a great experience and even treated my mom to a mani/pedi day. However something has changed. I made an appointment for the same day and when I showed up I was told it was for tomorrow. The nice lady at the desk (I wish I knew her name she was really sweet) was able to get me in for a pedicure. That’s all I needed a gel pedicure. You could tell the person she asked didn’t really want to do my pedicure and it was possibly cutting in to her break. She didn’t really speak to me much and she was rough with my feet. My toe still hurts and it’s been two weeks. It was really awkward for me and I kept saying thank you and I even tipped her $50 because despite her attitude I always appreciate someone who’s dealing with someone else’s feet. It’s not her fault her break was interrupted but it was disheartening for me to deal with the rushed pedicure and aggressive handling of my feet and not to mention the water being borderline scalding hot. Anyway, it is what it is. I personally won’t be returning here for anything else. Super disappointing because it’s literally right across the street from me.
Hi Cuticles is the best nail salon that I have been going too. They are clean and friendly. The appointments are prompt. Always greeted with a friendly smile. Very relaxing atmosphere and up to date.
The nail tech didn’t know how to take the gel nail polish off my hands and used the drill until she hit skin through the middle of my nail. I started bleeding which means I could no longer get a manicure bc of the giant hole in my nail Lol. So we stuck with a regular pedicure and I left after that. Wouldn’t suggest going there after my experience
I booked my birthday appointment nails with a specific nail tech here because I looked at her work prior and loved what it looked like. I also liked that the website took time to highlight steps taken to ensure sanitary practices. I booked an appointment ahead of time.I arrived for my appointment on time and the time it took to be seen was quick. However, once I sat down, it took about an hour before my nail tech realized the type of appointment I booked. I had booked a UV gel appointment with tips, long length, with designs. She kept saying my nails were too short for the inspiration picture I showed her and kept recommending acrylic. If she had looked at or had been told what I booked ahead of time, all of that hour long hassle could have been avoided.The nail file used was not a brand new one as I could see it had been used before. Also, as she did my nails there were several times where she blew on them in order to hasten drying time. Given the highlighting of sanitary practices on their website, I felt this was a bit contradictory. :/The finished product was nice when you looked at it from afar, but up close you could see the nails were uneven with certain dips from filing too far down at some points. I’ve just taken my nails off and I have the “ring of fire” on almost all of my nails. I won’t be returning in the future.UPDATE: I had also booked a spa pedicure with gel polish that day. I did not write anything in that initial review, but I feel it’s important to add. Shortly after going here, one of my toes on my right foot got inflammation in the mail bed. I thought to myself that maybe I accidentally stunned the toe or something as I didn’t want to assume the worst. However, now, that toe nail is slowly falling off to regrow all over. I wouldn’t get anything done here if I were you.
If I could would be ZERO start, since I came in was total different, beginning in price is not the same at they post on their page, the charge from shape, for color, for everything, I decided to pay, I paid $80 and 4 days after de gel start came out from my nails, some nail was broken, decoration was horrible, i contacted the manager she offered a 10% discount for next visit, I don’t recommend these place never, bad products, bad service
Visiting a friend that recommended me stopping by here for a gel pedicure and was unfortunately turned away due to being black. Door on the sign says walk ins welcome but upon entering did not see anybody that looked like me. Told me that they could not service me due to being fully booked although there were two people not doing a thing and no additional customers waiting. 0/10 would not recommend.
The worst customer service ever!!!! I booked 3 appoitments a month prior to my engagement party with Mary H. and received the worst treatment from her. Mary was very impatient and rude and didnt let me express my opinion on the results. Instead of fixing the issue, she told me to go somewhere else knowing that engagement party is in two days! She also refused to do my sisters nails and left us all unsatisfied. I am very unhappy with the results and the way Mary treated me and my sisters, and will never go back there again. Make sure not to book Mary H. especially if you have a special occasion.
Cuteticles is amazing. They have so many locations and all of them are super clean and all their technicians are talented. Also very affordable. I have been getting my nails done by Karolina for a year now and she always kills it. They also send you coupons and gift cards when you spend a certain amount of money. You can easily make and cancel appointments online.
Cuteticles has been my go to nail salon for the last two years when I first moved here. I have never had a bad experience and have recommended multiple people who also rave about their experience. Convenient booking online makes it so easy to schedule. They have every option and so many colors. Everyone is super nice and it’s always a great experience. I have been going to Lisa regularly for dip powder and she does a FANTASTIC job every time. Would highly recommend her services.
She did a great job on my nails. She took her time. I didnt feel rushed like other nail salons and was very detailed. The place is very clean and the front desk was friendly. Will definitely be back!
Since the new owners took over, this place is no longer the high quality business it once was, they are more concerned with quantity. As I’m king my nails, the receptionist came by the nail tech 3 times to rush her, meanwhile, my services required 1 hr 15 minutes & she began her countdown at the 45 minute mark. It was seriously uncomfortable to witness her harass the employee. I’m finally at the counter to pay and the same receptionist advised me that if I pay with a card they charge 3% tax, cash payment are not charged tax. Is that even legal? I gave 3 stars because the tech’s work is very good, despite the constant interruptions.
Pleasantly surprisedOkay now Ive been coming here for about 6 months and Ive been having good experiences. Sometimes it hard for me to schedule ahead so I choose anyone for the times Im available, it has been a hit everytime.The girls there are all nice and update you as best they can. Horrible ! I was just there with my mother to have services and I changed her appointment to the earliest they had available which was only 45 mins earlier . When we returned the technician who was scheduled to see my mom took her time to take her and then call her over . Once my mother sat in the chair the technician (Shari)started her nails and then complained about the condition of the nails. When I intervened it was the technician and the receptionist talking. Once I asked what was the issue the technician (Shari) advised that my mother wouldRequired a full set due to the horrible conditions of the nails and that she did not have time for that… she’d be willing to remove the nails but that’s all… I declined anymore services and was not offered any other forms of accommodations . I walked out with my mother . As a customer I have been going there for years myself and I am appalled by the way we were treated… I understand the conditions of the nails not being good however as a worker you should’ve tried to accommodate the customer. Lately they have sucked at customer service I feel like finding another place because that nail Salon is not it !!!!
Went in for gel tips with a simple line design, reserved and paid beforehand. My appointment was pushed back because my tech was delayed, which was understandable, but was also late to my already delayed appointment. She was very rough on my cuticles to the point that 3 of them were bleeding when I left. After my nails were done I got a slip that they came out to and additional $40 on top of what I had already paid for when I booked them. Will not return
Cuteticles Nail and Spa is hands down the best salon in the Hudson county. I personally go to the location at 389 Central Ave and see Kathy who gives the best pedicures and manicures. The designs she’s done on my gel manicures are over the top and her customer service is just amazing she always makes me feel right at home. She’s the best of the best! I make sure to have my appointments set up with her on a monthly basis! I would recommend this salon to EVERYONE :)
I like going there because theres always availability for any time you need, Laura is an amazing manicurist and professional. Although they really need to do something about the acetone smell, its too strong and makes me feel obligated to wear a mask every time I go in there!
This is an upscale nail salon, and I’m usually pleased with the service I receive. I went yesterday and changed from acrylic to the dip powder. I asked the price before she started working on me, $45 is the amount on the board and the amount communicated to me. After she finished, she hands me a ticket that says $60. I asked why I was charged $60, and she informs me I was charged for the removal of the acrylic, and then for the dip powder. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, she said “Yeah it’s $10 to remove the nails.” Yet I was charged $15. They nickel and dime you. Any other place I’ve been to, this would have been included in the posted and communicated price. I informed her that I wouldn’t be returning to this shop. The prices are more than most places, and they misinform you even when you ask the price. Consider yourselves warned.
Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere here exudes excellence and professionalism. I always feel like a celebrity here. My nails are always amazing, sleek , and beautiful. My feet are always soft and beautiful. Susan does my tips and Kathy does my feet. They both are perfectionist. I look forward to my monthly scheduled appointments.
I have been coming to Cuteticles for years! I do not go to any other place because I love the cleanliness and professionalism! My favorite person is Dulce. She is absolutely amazing and does my nails and eyebrows perfectly every time! The pedicures are truly the absolutely best!
Been with 2 different nail techs both did horrible jobs! Nails started to chip the next day both times with gel manicures! Last 2 times I went they said I had no appointment when I made an appointment and even got the text confirmation. Most unprofessional place on central ave! Take your money elsewhere. I definitely will! Wish I could give them 0 stars!
I live near this salon and have been going here for years due to convenience in location. In this facility, I prefer to have my nails done by someone specific. However, every single time I schedule an appointment (up to weeks in advance) and arrive they tell me they are running behind schedule and have me wait 20+ minutes and then try to urge/coerce me into working with a different nail tech. Why not update via text/phone-call so the customer does not arrive and spend time aimlessly waiting around? Or why not broaden the times listed for the service so it is not a recurrent issue? Clearly customer satisfaction is not a priority. Very disappointing and frustrating.
I had an AMAZING experience at the Cuteticles location in New Jersey! The salon is large, bright and clean and the service is fast and pleasant. I did a signature facial with Renee and it was the BEST facial I’ve ever had!! She was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
I love my nail tech, Mary, and my pedicurist, Melissa. I, recently, used Odilma to do my pedicure and discovered charcoal! I loved it. She was pleasant. I adore everything about Cuteticles. Very clean and the spaces are sanitized after every patron. Excellent service!
Love my tech abbey, she’s great, sweet woman does a great job on mani, pedi but the place itself doesn’t know what to charge each time I go price is different every 2 weeks I go n it’s either $65 or $68. They charge sanitizing fees when they want too. Not sure if I want to go back just because of that. Otherwise I do like the place. Music is a bit loud but at least it’s good music, sometimes. May start going back to my old place, they dont charge sanitizing fees. I think it’s inappropriate to make customers pay for cleaning fees when their automatically suppose to clean due to covid to keep their business open. But that’s just my opinion. Too bad I can’t take abbey with me.
Charged $45 to do my 4 year old daughters nails! When booking online, price is different. When I mentioned it, they said prices are not updated on their page. I was robbed and bringing my business elsewhere.
Thia was my first time visiting this establishment. Its nice and the man at the front desk who received me was very pleasant. However, I set my appointment online with Ana and two things bothered me. One is that she was rushing a bit and ended up cutting one of my fingers while filing and the second is that she told me it was going to be $45 dollars for the gel tips without color and she ended up charging me $55. I will give this place a second chance because I like setting my appointment online since it prevents waiting but I will choose another manicurist and make sure the price will not change once finished. I will update after I visit again Im a few weeks.
This is my second time visiting this establishment. The first time I booked with them, I got a full set and a “intricate design.” My nail tech did a phenomenal job capturing my inspo pic design. The cost was $113.00. So this time I decide to pay in advance. I prepaid $31.00. I got something very simple. The nail tech literally just used natural acrylic powder as my “color” and use strips for this “design” that took him not even 5 mins to put on. I had to pay an additional $43.00.So it’s like what did the 31.00 cover? I agree with one of the other reviewers. They are using products and not letting clients know that their will be additional charge. Had I known that I would’ve just picked a regular color. My nail tech is phenomenal at his job, but the prices are ridiculous. They need to have a better breakdown on their website so people know exactly what they are paying for.
PERSONALLY i would like to say that I really enjoy the way that the nail tech Cheryl does my nails! She takes her time and makes sure that the customer, which in this case, was me, is being taken care of very precisely and pleasantly. Unlike most nail techs she’s very efficient, well organized, and just delightful. She tries to make conversation unlike most nail techs so it won’t make the “nail day” boring. And please, if you have a problem with her, you’ve got the WRONG girl because she’s one of the best nail techs i know.
I absolutely love this place. I get my nails done here along with my daughter and we both love it. We started coming about a month ago and we get out nails done by Victoria, she is so understanding, patient, and she does an amazing job. Both me and my daughter love getting our nails done there. Definitely recommend.
I have been here 5 times for a gel manicure. I think the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. The results of my first two manicures were great, they lasted about two weeks, which I expect in a gel manicure. However my last 3 manicures were pretty bad, started chipping badly within 6-7 days. Sure, the chips could have been my fault, but after 3 times of that happening within a week of getting them done, I don’t really think it’s me.
Im a nail Specialist from Florida but after moving to NJ and still having all of my things packed, I went on a hunt for a good place to do nails. Visited 4 places before discovering this 1. The 4 prior were a disaster! Absolutely the worst service EVER! Was reluctant to try again but luckily, I did. Made an appointment and got Lorenta. She is absolutely amazing!! Shes patient. She takes the time to listen and get exactly what you you request, correctly. She does the proper steps. I couldnt be happier in her care (until I unpack and get going on my own). Well worth the wait, the time, and the money. Thanks Lorena!!
I went here to have my nails done for my wedding in June. I made the appointment for 11am for 7 people. That morning, 4 of the people cancelled on me (flight issues and a domestic issue). The three of us that did go, were late. One was 5-7 minutes late, I was 11 minutes late and the third was 20 minutes late (bc the place texted her that morning cancelling her appointment without explanation). They gave the three of us a hard time about the fact that we were late and said there wasnt enough time to do what we wanted. I said, since more than half of my party didnt show, they should have more than enough staff and time to accommodate us. They allowed me, bc I was the bride, to get what I wanted (acrylic gel mani/gel pedi) but not my bridesmaids. They told the one who was 20 minutes late that if she wanted a mani/pedi shed have to go to their other location across the street where they had more staff available. I suggested that the extra staff come to the location we were at bc, thats where we were and it was important to me that we be together. They didnt entertain that idea. The receptionist was very rude and dismissive. She walked away from me while I was talking, then refused to come back or to get a manager for me to talk to. She just kept telling us (from the receptionist desk, at the front of the salon) she couldnt help bc we were late. They werent even upset that 4 reservations didnt show up. It seems to me that they werent prepared for us to begin with. I wanted this to be a special moment. I wanted pictures with my girls, to laugh and relax with them. The staff, the receptionist in particular, made that impossible. It was so, so disappointing. Our nails came out ok, just ok. One of my girls got little rhinestones on her nails that didnt last the night. I actually hated the style of mine and ended up cutting and filing them into what Id actually wanted myself. This was my second time at this place. I went back for my special occasion BECAUSE my first experience there was good. Im just really sad that they were so rude and unaccommodating. I wont be going back.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR DIP POWDER! You’ve been warned!!! (Pics have been added.)I went to this salon to get a dip powder service with extensions for 3 fingers. Let me say I get dip powder often at a salon in Brooklyn but was unable to make it out there. As someone who has been getting this service for awhile I was shocked by how few colors they offered and how the dip powder application process was missing a few key products and application steps.The technician DULCE did a very poor job and was very rude when asked to fix the nails. I was at the salon for 2 hours by the time I asked the technician to fix numerous issues including missing color, bumpy and pitted powder, and poor filing. She became frustrated and said “Ask someone else to do it!”I gave one star only because the girl at the front desk tried to help by finding me a new tech to finish my service. I was unable to stay for an additional two hours so opted to return another day. This girl is NOT trained to do nails nor is she mature enough to work on the public. She assumed my old dip powder was acrylic when in fact it was just dip powder done well.This management team should not allow someone so unskilled to provide a service they know very well she cannot yet perform.
Clean and well organized facility. Prices are very reasonable for level of service. Basic pedicure was very detailed and relaxing. Light massage while you wait for your nails to dry. Popular and friendly vibe, bright decor and employees seemed very experienced and helpful. Would definitely come back.
We had taken 2 appointments for manicure and pedicure and one of the service provider was care less .. did not give any massage and was busy on phone .. no use of oil no use of cuticles cream . There was huge difference between how other person gave service against how she was doing work . Very unhappy with the services and will never suggest this for manicure and padicure
All nail technicians that have attended me are great! I do not have a favorite because they are each uniquely skilled. Thank you, Rosa Perez (RP). As for the air conditioning, they need to get it together. Since they opened on West side the a.c. has been a issue. Place gets too hot, and worse on a full day. On my most recent visit the drop ceiling had fallen and a.c. was leaking water destroying a good amount of technicians stations. Shame on the landlord!
I love to do my nails in this place, it’s really nice, the services are really good, the staff is nice. I did my nails with Ann, she is really good and very kind.
I started coming to this location this year with Karolina as my nail technician and I love that she’s a perfectionist. I was hesitant to come in when everything started opening back up after COVID-19 but they are very cleanly and always have someone cleaning around the clock, constantly. Also, the staff is very friendly.
I want to preface this by saying my nails aren’t bad. However, I was uncomfortable my entire experience. The nail tech I saw seemed irritated and distracted from the moment that I sat down. Huffed and puffed the entire time doing my nail. Not only did it just take too long, the nail tech cut me with her drill causing me to bleed (she was staring at her phone half of the time), proceeded to close my cut with nail glue without my asking (extremely unsanitary), and when I brought this to the receptionist’s attention, I was told “Thanks for the feedback.” Do with that what you will. I’ll probably try a different location but I don’t have high hopes, I’m not happy with the outcome. There was no attempt to rectify the situation.
Overall my service here has been great, but it’s not the most consistent. Their techs shift around a bit and quality isn’t always the same, but overall it’s pretty decent

I love having my nails done here! Ann is great! She is meticulous and organized. My nails always come out just how I expect. The shop overall is very accessible. You are able to.make online appointments. They are extremely welcoming and.polite. and most importamtly.... it is immaculate!! 100% highly recommend
I got a gel pedicure done on Friday April 29th, which cost me $48. I went away to Jamaica the very next day. Given that I was going on vacation I wanted to make sure to get gel so they would last. By Wednesday, just FIVE days after, 3 of my toes on the left food were already bare. I have never had an experience like this with a gel pedicure, and I’ve had them on vacation multiple times. The business is using cheap cheap products and I will be going in person to complain as well. Do not trust their gel pedicures or products.
This has got to be the worse nail salon I have ever gone to in my life!!!! The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional!! The nail technician did a horrible job!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!. The owner needs to hire friendly knowledgeable staff that speak properly n professionally or just shut down!
Most uncomfortable pedicure I have ever received…. Actually the only uncomfortable pedicure I have ever received. Mind you… nails didn’t even last three days.My hands tho?? BABY! Lee slayed my nails! Only downside is it takes soooo long. Also I care about nail health and they clearly don’t here. Love my hands but unfortunately probably wouldn’t go back.

Well nothing was right the shape ! (And they charge more for it) was completely wrong. Then I let them a second chance and ask for a deep powder I picked a baby pink I got a hot pink I asked to change the color because I didn’t like it she was upset and ask me to do a gel color and rush me because an other client came. Honestly I spend 3 hours there for nothing SAVE YOUR TIME and MONEY!!!!
I love this place Victoria always slays my nails and sara is the bomb with the pedicures.I love jessica at the front Desk she always makes you feel right at home and the music is always good. I was disappointed to hear that she’s only working Saturdays now. That new girl kavita is a lil rude and doesn’t walk you to the person you have an appointment with nor does she play music and when asked to play music she put it on extremely low.
I decided to try this place because I saw that it had just opened a couple of years back or so. I had booked my appointment and came in excited to get my nails done for my birthday. They are in a complete rush and it affects their work. I had done a full set of acrylics and had asked to put on rhinestones. The lady maria completely rushed throughout the acrylic process and proceeded to tell the guy to put rhinestones on a couple of fingers. The total was $60 which is way more than Ive ever spent at a nail salon. When I asked about the price they told be its because I got rhinestones which jacked up the price $30 extra dollars. AFTER i had questioned this they told me its because the guy put swarovski crystals on. WHICH I DIDNT ASK FOR! They had regular rhinestones which they couldve told me but failed to do so. ANYWAY. 3 days later my nail breaks and the crystal balls are coming off. I go in and complain and they have someone fix my nail for free and after she was done with the nail she proceeds to put acetone on all my nails and removes the matte polish. Completely ridiculous and she didnt notice that the polish on all my nails looked weirdly blurred until I had told her to do it over.
I came here today with my little sister who is 11 and my little cousin who is 9. I had made appointments for them online under kids manicures. All they wanted was them painted. Instead of coming to me and asking me as the adult with them, they proceeded with the kids and did regular manicures on them. Online it also does not specify the age for children. The manager at the front then told me that she would do the $10 each with the $3 cleaning fee. But the nail tech Dulce came over and started whispering in the managers ear and next thing you know it’s $18 each. They argued with me and told me “I’m the adult” but yet I paid my adult price. And EXACTLY I AM the ADULT. So are they. so instead of communicating with the adult that bought them they took it upon themselves to proceed with children. I will not be coming back to this nail salon, nor will any of my family. They are VERY unprofessional and I am just over the moon with this last experience. Also I asked to speak with the manager and they lied to me and said that I already was but yet she was not in the store. This place so horrendous.
They do really good job, take their time and pay attention to details. However I feel it’s little too pricy. For acrylic nail full set they always charge me $60 plus tip. Nail salon is really clean looking and modern . Staff is friendly but they try to be too chatty, that tends to be irritating. Overall good nail salon, it’s just not my priority to spend that much money for fake nails.
Ive been going to Cuteticles since they first opened and every nail tech I have has done good work. With the exception of my last 2 visits with Anthony and today Kayton, I have booked services online expecting to pay a certain price but at the end of my service its somehow a higher price. My last visit with Anthony was upsetting because he recommended a service that he failed to tell me there was an extra charge. After that visit I still came to Cuteticles only to have the SAME THING happen. The techs are not communicating with your clients about what is an extra charge and what is not. I refused to pay the extra charge that wad not mentioned while I was sitting down receiving my service. And unfortunately Im hesitant on ever coming back. Im sure theyll be fine without my business, but sadly this is a scheming tactic I do not appreciate.
In love with place I was recommended by a friend, I live all the way in Flatbush Brooklyn but i’ll take the 2 hour commute just to get my nails done perfectly all the time. The lady at the entrance was so polite and welcoming I felt so excited. Susan was the one who did my nails for the first time and it was a done deal, she was professional and pleasant. She made sure every detail was right. My second time another lady did my nails I didn’t catch her name but same story she was fast and very attentive to the details so twice a charm. I’ll always be coming here for now on.
I’ve came to this place 3 times in total. The first was for a pedicure and everything was fine. However the last 2 times were for manicures and it sucked. First, they’re never on time. I make an appointment for a certain time and they don’t attend me until 20-25 minutes later both times. The first time, the nail tech was so rough with it and made my finger bleed. Totally ruined the look of my acrylics. Then the second time I decided to go with a regular mani, super simple. I literally have one day with it, the color had already chipped on 7 of my fingers and cracked after I came out of the shower. I’ll literally go anywhere else from now on for mani’s.
Katy is great, shes my go to. Very clean shop in a shopping district. Parking can be tough depending on what time you go but they take temperature checks, they make customers wash their hands immediately (which is great). Theres typically one or 2 ppl that are continuously cleaning seats and stations. 3rd time returning

The pedicure I got was like deluxe spa something. It was nice and included a lot of luxuries. I didn’t do any nail color, but the pedicure itself was really good, and the receptionist was nice. The interior and bathrooms were very nicely done.
I loved coming here before management changed. I made an appointment and was seen 25 minutes after. I was handed off to multiple techs, and was completely unsatisfied with my manicure. I spoke to the woman at the desk and the manager, but nothing was done to resolve my issue. Completely disappointed. Ill be going to the West Side location from now on.
I love this place. They offer great deals from time to time to get massages facials and various packages including nails and/or pedicures. It is clean. The staff is friendly. Make sure to make an appointment in advance especially if its on a weekend. As long as you have an appointment a few days in advance there should never be any issues.
This place does not even deserve one star, I decided to try this nail salon based on their decent reviews, my mistake. I had my first gel manicure done by Jay someone who clearly does not know how to do nails. It took her nearly thirty minutes to soak my gel polish off, and she didnt even fully remove my previous gel color before putting the new color I chose onto my nails. I left the salon with a piece of hair glued into my one nails and had another nail break within a day. I got an email a few days later asking to rate my experience and I gave a low rating based on my unhappiness with my nails. I received an email from the salon saying I could come back to get the nails fixed for free. I went back and decided to change my polish because I didnt care for my original choice, the receptionist told me it would cost $20 and I agreed (after spending $30 for the first gel mani). Two days after my second visit I noticed that another nail had broken and a third was on the verge of breaking! I went to the salon today and asked to have my nails fixed for the SECOND time! I was told I had to wait over an hour to see the artist that did my nails if I wanted them to be fixed for free. This was at 5:35 PM, I returned to the salon at 6:55 PM and waited to see Sarah who did my nails the second time. Eventually some woman that I had never seen before said she would fix my nails and told me to find the color that I had, based on my lack of knowledge of which exact color I chose I showed her what I thought I had. She proceeds to use the INCORRECT color to fix three of my nails that were messed up and jokingly said its a new trend. I left this salon for the THIRD time feeling devastated, upset, frustrated, and insulted. If you seriously think its okay to let a client leave your salon with THREE different colored nails you dont deserve to be a nail artist. I hope this review helps others to not make the same mistake that I made of going to Cuteticles in the first place.
I really wanted to like this place and I did like my manicure but it wasnt very clean. I think they may be doing an okay job sanitizing between customers but it was hard to tell because there was filing dust from prior customers all over. It even got all over my jacket. I respect that you want to include a cleaning fee in your prices so just do it. Increase the price of your services to take care of your employees, it should not be optional or added by the front desk staff. Lastly, COVID protocol is not being properly followed. You should not let the guy who is trying to scam you into paying him to clean the window in to the salon. Lock the door.
I got my nails done at June 22 at 10am, it was my 1st time there. I paid for Uv nails with gel polish and a coffin cut. The girl made them Thick and square. I told the guy in the front and he said to ask her to redo them. I already spend 2 hrs on the chair but I said fine. The nail tech didn’t seem happy with me asking her to redo them. She did an okay job. A day later they started to lift up, I went back and was told I have to redo them with her again or I had to pay. I explain that this will be my 3rd time with her trying to fix her mistakes. I said fine and went back to the nail lady, she was upset that I came back and had a attitude the whole time. She “fixed” the nail in 3 mins. She put no effort in it, she even painted it the wrong color. I’m highly disappointed in management and the tech. Will never return.
Don’t go there, it’s not worthy of your money and the receptionist was rude. She did not want to honor our appointment, they managed to even mess up my nails and I was not happy about the location as well.You have to go there 10 minutes in advance to even get a parking spot and the overall service experience was not at par. I would rather go to another place who values me as a human, treats my nails right and not look at me like a 💵 bill standing in front to be taken.
Extremely clean and modern. Love that they gave me the traditional manicure before the gel manicure. Other places they cut my cuticles try which I hate. This place soak and cut thoroughly. The pedicure stations are divided and hidden from the front. I like the fact that I did not feel exposed to the onlookers. They also uses disposable pedicure sink cover. No fungus for me please. The customer services were excellent. Most definitely coming back.
I’ve been going here for a while now and I had an emergency today. My Toe nail got smudged and I went in to fix one toe nail. I mm in a wedding and I was in a rush because I was running late and they didn’t even try to accommodate me. It was only one toe that needed fixing and she didnt take into consideration that I am a frequent customer and I had an emergency. Def need to find a new nail salon after this and I told everyone I recommend here and they are no longer going there anymore
Love this place. Only downfall is that theres no parking. If you make an appointment, you never wait. Nail techs are awesome. Very friendly environment and if you join their rewards program you get a lot of discounts on different services they offer.
Im so happy I found this place. After moving to Jersey City and having difficulty finding a decent nail place I finally came across Cuteicles and fell in love! The staff here is so attentive and helpful. I never used to make appointments until I found cathy, now I book every 2 weeks just to make sure I can get her. She has a passion for her job that shows every time she does my nails. She is very talented, incredibly nice and really cares about her clients. I would highly reccomend this salon for any of your spa needs.
I’ve been coming to Cuteicles for a few years now and haven’t been disappointed. This place is super clean and the employees are really friendly. The appointment system is great; I am always taken on time and they do such a great job. I’m loving the new look they have now! Highly recommend coming here!
This place is amazing!!! They’re diligent and do their best to make you feel comfortable. Ann is amazing at acrylics and Melissa is awesome at gel manicures. 10/10! Very clean too.
They charge extra $5 for each thing even a nail cut down has $5 charge with manicure ridiculous. And they dont ask if gel nailpaint or regular before applying and directly charge you. Very disappointed with the service. I have been going here from the time they opened. Themassage chair was not working, the technician was rushing and cut my cuticles so deep they started to bleed, the polish was old so they added some liquid to it, my polish got messed up even after drying for a while when I went to pay and was hastily fixed by adding some more top coat. When I spoke to the receptionist she said it takes 6 hrs to dry!!Also told me its a regular mani pedi...was wondering so what?! I still paid $35 for it . Not happy with the experience at all. Will not be returning.
I honestly enjoy Cuteticles. I have been coming here for a while. Even before the whole Covid I have gotten my nails here. The tech I myself enjoyed is Susan she was in the heights she is now located west side NJCU location. However, I have tried other techs also and I have been stratified every time. Cuteticles is the spot to make sure you get good quality.
Honestly, my nail tech was super nice & she did a good job on the design of my nails but two days after i got them done, one of them had came off & i was confused because they shouldn’t be coming off this early from when i got them done. then i had gotten the one missing fixed just to have it break this saturday along with a couple more. i know it’s not my original nail itself because i’ve gotten my nails done before & they’ve definitely lasted like they were suppose to. other than that, it’s a nice place & it’s also clean, i just don’t know so much about the pricing on different shapes of nails 😕
Love coming here to do my nails. All of the ladies and workers are so friendly, professional, and they keep the place nice safe and clean for everyone! Making this my main nail salon officially since I never really go to do them but now I’m definitely coming back! 💕
My favorite nail salon ... its always very clean and my fav nail.techs are there Melissa gives me perfectly shaped mani and pedi with clean work at attention to detail . I can also recommend Kari dulce and Nancy all sweet and great pedicures .I should know I used to work as tge esthetician there until I got my own office but Ill always love my cuteticles!
These guys are extremely rudeFirst time, the guy who did acrylic to me was supremely over confident and made me feel bad about myself by asking me irrelevant questions(like how many yrs i have been in US and told me i do not know how to speak in english and etc)Another time, i had an appointment with a diff person and wanted to reschedule it and kept calling them.No body picked up the call and when i went there they said they would charge me for no show. And were not even letting me explain.They are not considerate and not nice to people.
I love Cuticles! Its my favorite place to go to get my nails done. I love the fact that you can book an appointment online and also pay ahead of time. Everytime I come here, everyone is always so nice to me and I always leave happy and satisfied!!

I have a membership in which I get discounted services every month. But something i cannot brag more about is the Brazilian service and facials with Renee. She is exceptional! Renee makes you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin. She genuinely cares about every thought you have throughout the process of it all and knows her stuff. Ask to see her!
Twice I got acrylic gel and twice my nails started chipping within a week. Not good quality and I’m paying 55+ not including tips. Definitely will not be going again, no point in paying good money for nails that don’t even last one week.

I wanted to leave this review for the Esthetician Renee who offers a plethora of her own services in a private suite located in the back she gave me the quickest and painless Brazilian with some special wax .I also got a skin rejuvenation treatment and lash tint .She knows her stuff shes very kind and very helpful to answer your questions ,think Ill treat my boyfriend to the mens back facial she offers .Im definitely a happy client my go to spot
I went to Cuticles because my regular salon was crowded. NEVER AGAIN. I picked a color but the technician said she didnt like it and that shed find me a better one. She came back with a totally different color! I said I wanted my original color choice and she said it was no good. She also stated to me that she could not do the design I wanted, which was a simple silver line. I just looked at her appalled. She reluctantly said shed do it but she didnt like it. I am so stupid. I should have just walked out then and there. But I let her finish my nails the way I wanted and they DID look good, however, I could not believe the way she acted. PLUS I clearly had acrylics and just wanted an acrylic fill but she disregarded that and gave me gel!!! Which by the way cost me $55!!! I have NEVER paid that much to get my nails done!! I will never go back there.
I was able to book my appointment online. Cuteticles is by far the best nail salon in Jersey City. So happy I found this place. They give you a complimentary massage while you dry your nails. It is super clean. They use disposable liners and they autoclave. I got a spa pedi and it was awesome. Lets see how long my gel mani will last. I highly recommend this place.
I wouldve gave more stars because the masseuse skills were great. The way the business operates, not so much. I arrived for my 60 mim massage 15 mins early, the masseuse didnt get there until 30 mins later, 15 mins into my appt. At first they couldnt even reach her. I got about 51 mins from start to finish, instead of my full 60 mins. What kills me is I have had a massage here before which I arrived late to, I was discounted the time from my hour and still charged full price, which I paid because I desperately needed a massage. And all I got was a sorry and only after I began to question them about when would we start. Maybe they should have a little more consideration towards their clients time as they expect in return.
I went to this location 2x. The 1st time exactly 3 weeks ago I had Eric do my refill gel tips and I loves the way he did my nails however 3 days later the nail polish chipped. I figured its no big deal although I paid $60. I called and the lady said doe me to go in however I get out of work at 6 and they close at 7. I went the 2nd time this pass Sunday with my mother. 2 pedicures and I got again a refill gel tip paid $100 and today exactly 4 days later my nail polish has once again chipped. So now I have to use my lunch hour from work to drive to Jersey City to fix my nail. Clearly the nail polishes are old. This is ridicules for the amount of money Ive spent there.
Since they have opened back up I have gone there several times and have been over charged each time. They are trying to make up for what they lost.when they were shut down. They are disregarding the prices on their website. I refuse to pay a $3 surcharge every visit so the workers could buy masks and they have the nerve to be selling masks at the counter. The owner doesnt care enough about his employees to provide protection for them. EVERYONE HAS LOST DURING THIS PANDEMIC. The solution.shoud not be to cheat your loyal customers.
The guys in the front were very nice and helpful!! BUT Cheryl was extremely unprofessional. She was late for my appt and was rude about it on top of it all. She spoke very badly in another language about me but be careful next time because you never know what people speak and i understood it all 😉.....THEN when someone else helps me out 20 mins later she says loudly oh good now i can eat in peace...Save yourself the headache and go across the street to the Loft location!!
I wanted to give this place a 5 star, BUT as a fashion blogger and stylist Im super disappointed with one service! Ill write the good first!Their selection for nail expertise is amazing! Chrissy was amazing! She was so attentive and helped me pick the colors. She was overall great! Ill probably come back only for her.Ok, the bad part. I decided to get my eyebrows done since its something they offer and they make it seem that theyre great at. First of, you need to invest in better tweezers, because the older lady that was doing the eyebrows couldnt work well with them. I really do believe you should invest on better lighting for your waxing service as well. I asked her to just clean my eyebrows, and she took most of my left eyebrow, and left hair outside my eyebrow. When I went back, the guy receptionist instead of sympathizing with me (did I mention Im pregnant) he said a smart remark, well its $7. Even if its a $1 you should pride yourself with providing the best service on an amenity you are advertising! When the same lady took care of me instead of listening to me to just tweeze the flyaway hairs she continued to wax, that another receptionist came in and they finally decided to bring I guess another lady that knew waxing.. I was so baffled by this part of the service. Yes, I got my $7 back, but my eyebrows are still horrible and I left with a bittersweet taste in my mouth because of how I was talked down to. At the end of the day its not about a money, its about how you treat a brand NEW customer and how you impact their return.
I have been a customer for over 3 years and it’s just declining. I had an appointment for today recvd the text confirmation and they dont have my appointment in the system and can’t reschedule me. Not to mentioned the last 2 times I went my nail polished chipped within 3 days. Needless to say they lost a loyal costumer
Fantastic experience! Professional staff. Clean! My husband treated me to a mini-spa day. I got the classic facial while getting my pedicure. What a treat! And the aesthetician uses all organic and natural products. I also got a spa pedi and gel mani. The price was competitive with other nail salons. However Cuteticles is much cleaner, more modern, and very organized. Overall thrilled with my experience and will definitely going back!
Not a good experience at all. My service was rushed and my gel manicure chipped off after 3 days of service and same for my regular pedicure. This is the second time this has happen to me & will not be returning to this place. Its a shame because they are neat & tidy but their products are not so great especially for price.

Very clean place great environment only thing I have to honestly say either the nails I paid for are not good quality or the worker did not do the job right after paying $65 for a full set I’m so disappointed most of the nails fell off after two days that’s never happened before and so upset because when I go back to replace them I will be charged more then a full set feel like I was scammed sad to say really liked this place
My experience here was not the best. I didn’t have to wait yet a regular mani pedi took 2 hours! The pedicure was just ok. The whole time there was an employee sitting next to me on her phone playing a game with the volume all the way up! The manicurist took almost an hour to just to paint my nails with gel polish. The whole experience was just extremely annoying.
This place is not only over priced for the area but also has the worst attitude ever. I have been in and got my nails done and they broke after 4 days i have paid $100 for the nails and they took 2 and a half hours to do. I call and they offer to fix them however this isnt something i can do as it is out of my area and i asked for a simple refund to get them done closer one because i now no longer trust them and 2 this isnt close for me to come after their mistake. they totally dismissed me and said sorry sarcastically. i get my nails done all the time and this is definitely the worst experience i have had so far. My friend had walked in expecting to come out with beautiful, professionally, done nails... The nail tech Ann gave her short nails when she wanted long then Ann proceeded to say thats “it’s long” on top of that she had a crooked nail with poor shape. The employees in the store told my friend it is long and stiletto when it surely wasn’t. She wanted to remove them and The nail tech Ann walked away from her. When they finally removed her nails the front desk clerk told Ann to rush her and continued to rush my friend out the store. So unprofessional and poor go to @nailswneyy you’ll get the results you want instead of these rip offs.
Every time I come here or to any of their locations, they overcharge me or TRY to overcharge me. They are very deceptive and never explain their services properly. They have an attitude when you try to call them out for it too. I waited almost 30 minutes for an appointment I had today and was then overcharged yet again. Will not be coming back here, this place is beyond sketchy.

I had a booking with a specific person at 5 pm I got a call 45 minutes before my appointment time asking if I could come earlier. I live 30 minutes away so I told her no I can come at my scheduled time only. I come at my time and surprise I been assigned to someone. No one told me anything. What’s the point of booking with a specific technician when they switch you and don’t even tell you
So I travel from the Morris County area all the time to patronize this location and I will not be back! I booked an appointment online and was informed via text & email that due 2 COVID-19 health and safety that payment must be made prior 2 arrival, no problem (eventho there is a $1 fee). I get here an hour before they open and told that eventho I paid online i have to pay an additional $3 Surcharge fee for Covid Cleaning!!! ARE U KIDDING ME?! I proceeded 2 tell them its not listed on the site or payment options and the cashier said yeah, we have to fix that and still wanted to charge me! Customer Service at its WORST! But I asked 4 a refund and they were completely fine with me leaving. I will go sumwhr where they not trying 2 charge hidden fees Nd care about customer service!! Smh!
Ive been getting my nails done in downtown JC for 10 years now and decide to check out Cuteicles in the Heights on a referral. Just had my first experience there today and it will be my spot from now on for mani/pedi! I had a deluxe pedicure which was fantastic and the friendliness and comfort I felt complemented the experience. My feet and legs feel so smooth and toes polished perfectly. The decor and space is simple and beautiful, and everything is clean and updated. I will definitely be back!
Hg have been here teice but only for massages so I cannot attest to their mani and pedi services. Massage was actually pretty good. I have had the same person twice and she has done a good job so far. The room is always clean. The staff is always friendly. The mani pedi area looks good. Prices are just a bit high it looks like. But Im accustomed to cheaper NY prices. I will most likely join their massage membership.

This review is for Renee, she is the esthetician here at cuteticles and she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I had my first ever full Brazilian wax done here by her and I was blown away. Not only is her personality and vibe so amazing and positive but shes also TREMENDOUS at what she does. She is very well educated about waxing, facials, and basically all things beauty. She listens to your needs and concerns and addresses them in a perfect manner. Youll feel like shes been your friend for years. I barely felt any pain throughout the entire experience and she was very quick. I will always go to her!! I highly recommend Renee if youre looking to get waxed, a facial, etc. She is amazing :)
First time coming in here and loved the service that was give to me by Karen. She did a classic mani and pedi. I had acrylic nails on and she took her time to make sure that I had no acrylic on my nails before starting my mani. She was gentle when doing both pedi and mani. I loved that she took her time which it’s hard to find that now because I been to many other places where they rush everything. Karen gave me all the reasons to come back here! Gracias Karen!
This was my very 1st time going to cuticles and I got a gel manicure on monday, by that friday of that same week, my gel manicure was already starting to chip. When I called them to let them know I was disappointed and I wanted to get it fixed, the girl on the phone said they can fix my nails or do a color change but i have to pay $25, mind you I paid $30 for this gel manicure. Highly disappointed and turned off by this. I wouldnt return nor refer anyone here.
Wow. Here comes a doozy. I walked into this place a week ago with an apt for dip powder to see Kim. They called me before my apt just to check to see if I was coming which is code for something else as you will see. I arrived on time only to be told that Kim was running very late and that I would need to see someone else at the loft across the street. I thought this was a fair solve as the woman at the counter even walked me over. Amy did my nails and seemed to know little about dip powder. As anyone who has had it, you know that your nails are filed before the final coats are put on. I should have but I said nothing. Mistake. Within a day, my nails started peeling. I called to make an apt for them to fix it and needed to make one for the weekend since I work in NYC and could not get there during the week. I gave them an opportunity to fix this but that was also, a mistake. I came, I explained again what happened and waited 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I asked how long Kim would be. I was told 20 minutes. So Im expected to wait 30 minutes with an apt to fix what they had already done wrong. I asked to speak to the manager. Apparently, the woman at the counter claimed to be that person. I asked her when she was going to tell me that Kim was running 30 minutes late. She told me, I was about to. Righhhhht. So I told her that I was walking out of there and would never be back. I will also make sure that all of my friends know better than choose this place. Go elsewhere unless you want to spend your precious weekend given the runaround. I will now find another place that can fix this mistake of theirs at a charge because Id rather go to a reputable establishment than try to wait around for Cuteicles to fail again. Cute name. Horrible place.
I’ve been coming here for 2yrs and each experience is amazing 🤩 they are very clean and professional. Dulce did an amazing job bringing my toes back to life! She’s very patient.
I got the ultimate spa pedicure and I absolutely liked my experience with Dulce. Although the place was little crowded and I had to wait for 20 mins for them to attend me which I understand due to their packed schedule.I also got a dip powder set with Mary who was extremely professional. She was patient and did my nails as I wanted. Only con was i had asked for pink nails and the dip powder was also the same pink. But after couple of layers, it turned to plain red. This happens because of the layers of bonds they apply to the nails. More the bond, darker the color and stronger nails :) I wish they mentioned this earlier as I would have chosen a lighter shade to match the pink i wanted ( attached pics of what i wanted and what i got )I am aware that dip powder involves the process of immersing your nails in the pot of powder, but I was a little concerned about how many people would have used the same pot for dipping as the risk of bacteria is more. Instead, I would have preferred if the powder was sprinkled on my nails or disposable pots of powder were.
Very clean nail salon!! Had a wax done by Renee and manicure done by Susan and and pedicure by Katherine. All three women were very professional and friendly. I am happy I found a place that I could spend my coins and walk out totally happy.
I’m so unhappy right now.. got my nails done on the second Fl location in JC and got a gentleman to assist me. This guy was so rough on my hand but I forgot about the pain and the roughness after I saw the results. I even gave him a very good tip. However, I get home and I’m dying in pain. My fingernails are glued so tight not even sure how to explain the discomfort. All my fingers are throbbing in pain. Not sure how I’m going to resolve this.. 😖I’m very disappointed ☹️
