The Spa At Kona Beach Hotel

The massage and facial specialists were good. Although I asked my masseuse to increase the pressure multiple times, I still didn’t get the amount of pressure I wanted.The reason for the 3-star rating is the facilities: The spa is located inside the hotel and doesn’t have its own bathroom or ladies’ room. We were told to go outside the spa (while wearing robes) if we needed to use the restroom. The sauna room includes a shower but lacks the amenities I usually expect at a spa. The small room containing the shower feels awkward; there isn’t enough space to properly change and groom yourself. In fact, grooming is impossible due to the lack of amenities. I think this was one of the weirdest spa experiences I’ve had, primarily due to the poor facilities

OMG, worst I’ve ever had. I thought this spa would have some standards because it is expensive affiliated with the hotel. But I guess they do not worry about people coming back since customers are all tourists. Therapist there is lazy and unprofessional — she either just rubs on your skin or holds still on one spot for a long period of time.

Loryn was phenomenal. I was tense and had not had a massage in a long time. She was able to take out knots, and help me relax. I felt like a different person when I left. Thank you for one of the best massages I have ever received.

Helen was amazing! I had an hour Lomi Lomi massage and it was the best massage I’ve ever had, I just wish it lasted longer. I also had a leg scrub by Darlene that was also so good and exactly what I needed while on vacation! 🌺 Aloha!

This was an amazing experience after a long trip traveling, and being sore in weird places. The staff was extremely nice, and gave us excellent massages (we did a couples massage). Ive never had such a good massage, looks like if I want to have the best massage it wont be back on the mainland 🤣. I cant recommend this place enough. Everything was extremely clean, and I cannot recommend this spa enough. The prices were also extremely reasonable. 11/10 highly recommend, you wont be disappointed 😁

The massage was awesome! The price was conveniently changed higher after we were finished. A bait and switch to which I refused to pay more than I was quoted which then ruined the stress that I had just relieved from the massage. Truly a shame to play those games when you are spending precious money for a service.

Me and my hubs came here, everything was amazing! We both had a week old sunburn they were very careful with. We did the shower thing after and that was a new experience. Try it!

My experience was very unpleasant & unprofessional. The door was locked, I stood there for five minutes, when I called the number for the salon they told me to walk around to the side entrance. Upon arrival I was not even greeted! I had to ask where to sit, what to do, etc. The lady that did my mani /pedi was not very friendly She proceeded to tell me during my pedicure “You don’t clean your feet very well!”. Can you imagine? Someone talking to someone in such a manner? I do my best, I have MS with balance & dizziness problems, so please forgive me. Plus , the “gel” manicure she gave me peeled off three days later, and within a week it was gone. DO NOT go here. I have never written a negative review of a business before, but here it is.

No restroom in the spa, must dress and exit across a busy exterior walkway. Not the estheticians fault, but a big fail by the hotel. I have had dozens of Eminence facials and I am a little familiar with the product line and procedures. One most important aspect is facial massage. Very little was done, no decollete treatment at all, barely past my chin. Not a signature Eminence experience, at all.

Extremely relaxing. My masseuse KK gave one of the best massages I have had while my wife’s prenatal was much to her liking as well. Would be 5 stars if it had a more “spa” like environment. It’s more just a room with massage tables - none of the fancies like special water, dimmed lights, or super relaxing amenities like you may find at a true “spa.” But like I mentioned, still a great massage if the fluff doesn’t matter to you.

Massage and facial were very nice. Staff were very friendly. For the price I wish they offered robes, dressing area, sauna instead of just quiet public waiting room.

Everyone who treated us at spa was so amazing, relaxing, professional, and nice. My fiancée and I came in for a mud wrap and a 90 minute Swedish couples massage. Swati was my masseuse, and she paid attention to my pressure and focus areas preferences and was so awesome. Victoria did my mud wrap and was great, too.My fiancee’s masseuse was Sherri and was equally amazing. She had the waterfall room for her mud wrap and it was an amazing experience. Mitesh was the front desk person and he was really welcoming, too. Such a great team and spa!!

Its a resort spa, so generally more pricey than I would usually be willing to pay (I am a frequent massage patron). That said, my husband convinced me to treat myself and so I chose to do a day spa package as it seemed to be the best deal (4 services in 3.5 hours). IT WAS GREAT. I was very pleasantly surprised and had high quality services from both Lisa (aesthetician) and Maria (massage). Truly loved all of it and walked out feeling pampered and happy. Would highly recommend treating yourself to a service with either of these ladies.

We made a reservation for 5 and they accommodated all of us at the same time, which was amazing! It was a great massage and facial, Yuriko was amazing!

I think getting a massage while on vacation is going to be my new thing. I got a 30 minute massage that was so helpful for my neck stiffness. So I booked a 90 minute massage. They were able to book us both at the same time, and that was great. I would use them again.

My masseuse was Jessica and she did a wonderful job. I told her that i had back pain and my muscles were tensed and she recommended me to try lomi lomi massage. Her pressure was perfect and it hit all points. I wanted her to massage me the next day, unfortunately i realized i have something to do.I will definitely come back and look for her. The spa is very relaxing and the staff are very accommodating. Mahalo for the wonderful experienced.

I felt in love with Maria best Lomilomi, (I usually get massage done 2 to 3 times a month) and I was so relax that I didnt realize when she was done. My wife got Kua for her massage and she was fantastic also.The cabana with the beach front was cherry on top.The vacation is not complete yet until you get a lomilomi.Super clean and safe set up.We got our massages at 11:30am and the weather was perfect for us not too hot and good breeze and not problem with the parkingHighly recommend

I just received the great massage of my life time from Preston. I have been a massage therapist for 6 years and I am very picky about what I call a good massage. I don’t take this award lightly haha. Best massage ever. Thank you Preston. 90 minutes of pure bliss. I feel fantastic. Highly recommend

Had a great massage with Suzanne after arriving at the hotel with a strained calf muscle from doing a little hike earlier in the day. I had the Lomi lomi 90 min massage and left feeling amazing! She did a great massage, relaxing but also helping those problem spots. And I was able to call and get a reservation right away.

The only reason I gave 4 star is because I have different treatments. If it was just a massage, I would have given her 1.I had a gift certificate given to me for Christmas. It was easy to get a schedule, the guy in the counter was very accommodating. My bodyscrub was good. I never had the shower laying in bed before. Then, I got a massage, that sucked though. All she did was rubbed and pinched my skin. Worse, when she would massage my back down to my feet the go back to my head. That was disgusting. I can hear her moving around coz her shoes was making noises. At one point she was just just holding on to my feet and not moving. Worse experience ever!!My facial was good as well, same person who did my bodyscrub. Her name is Cassandra (I think)

The best way to end my day, end my work week and this short trip....Oceanfront, Sunset Massage......I have never done that before and I have to say, that was the best massage and experience I have everrrrrr had!! Jesse was the absolute best and I couldnt have planned it for a better time. The sun going down, the waves crashing and the most amazing massage... Im in heaven. The hotel needs to promote this experience more!

Enjoyed the best massage I’ve ever had. Apart from having such a friendly demeanour, Preston was very knowledgeable and skilled to locate and remove knots in my back and shoulders. I’d highly recommend him when you’re visiting Kona.

If you’re lucky enough to find the spa storefront staffed to be able to talk to someone, DO NOT GO IN! There are plenty of other spas in the area where the staff is not horribly rude.

Atrocious. Calling to make an appointment apparently doesnt make an appointment? And then theyre unable to make an appointment for a later time for me when I am standing in their lobby in person? Asinine system, unhelpful staff, poor communication. Not a relaxing spa experience, I do not recommend it.

To start.....the appointment started 45 minutes late. Since I got a manicure and pedicure I ended up with a terrible pedicure. No massage and no exfoliation. Where as the person I was with got just a pedicure and it was a normal good pedicure with all included. No where was it stated that your pedicure will suck if you also get a manicure.

What a wonderful experience in Kona Beach Hotel!! I visited the spa last weekend and had a couples massage. Both masseuses were well experienced. Before getting the massage they asked all the right questions about any previous injuries, focal points for the massage strength and so on. Its a great experience for me and my beloved; I will be back soon at Kona Beach Hotel.

Surprised my mom with a 60 minute Swedish massage, great response time, friendly staff, and she said the massage was amazing. Thats coming from a massage therapist.

The spa here is so peaceful, got an amazing massage and facial. Staff is so kind and do great work. The spa also offers yoga every morning which was so beautiful on the water!

Got a gel manicure and I would have rather thrown $67 in the trash. My cuticles were not pushed back, polish was thin and should have gotten another coat, some of the nails were not shaped well and there was no hand massage or lotion of any kind at the end. By far the worst manicure Ive ever had. Please do not come here for nail care. Im tempted to get them fixed somewhere else tomorrow cause I cant stand looking at my nails. Overall very dissatisfied and should be given zero stars.

Great owner - let me use the shower before heading to the airport. $10 plus tax and validated my parking. Great hot water, towel, shampoo and conditioner. Highly recommended for anyone taking a late flight out!

Couples massage was great, but it was disappointing that it had to be inside. the construction going on prevents an Oceanview massage currently.

The thespaatkonabeachhotel massage therapists are one of the best massage therapists and they provided an excellent service and the 60 minute hot stone massage treatment was absolutely heavenly. And the staff was nice and they provide a very relaxing massage service.

I had an ocean front massage the staff was amazing, however I couldnt really relax because the young lady was a bit heavy handed on the massage.
