We had the absolute best couples massage imaginable. Our masseuses, both females, listened carefully to our wants and needs. I’m really bad at names so please forgive me. Our massages were on Friday March fifth the 8th at 11:00 a.m. so I’m sure you could call and request who we had. The cabana was very relaxing with views and sounds of the ocean. We did deep tissue massages and when I say deep tissue they knocked it outta the park. Both ladies regularly checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, I would definitely recommend The Lotus Spa at The Royal Kona Resort. After all was done they both recommended different stretches and pulling exercises to get the most from your massage. If you do go I hope you enjoy as much as my wife and I did. Aloha…
This place is a gem. I was able to book a massage the same day I called. I saw Kristin this week on Wednesday for a 90 min. deep tissue and she was incredible. I had knots in my shoulders and lower back and tightness in my hips from sitting/working a lot before our vacation. She was able to find all the right pressure points and work them out rhythmically and with the right amount of pressure. Her technique had great continuity and incorporated some of the Lomi lomi style, which left me feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of my vacation. I could breathe better from having more movement in my shoulders. She also has a background in reflexology which helped with my tired feet, since I had been walking around town a lot. Kristin is attentive, professional and I would recommend her to all my friends and family. Mahalo Lotus Center Spa for your warm hospitality! 🪷
Wife and I decided to get massages 💆♂️on our last day in Hawaii and The Royal Kona had The Lotus Center Spa as a destination to visit for a good massage.👍 this was probably the best message I have ever had. My wife and I got the couples message, and while I forgot the name for the guy who gave me my massage I know he was from Detroit. Was all about energy 👏 and with the injuries I have from the Marines and Pro Hockey 🏒, I literally left and felt like I wanted to play again.Must visit, COVID Safe and best energy/ massages around the world 🌎 and I have received massages around the world. Korea 🇰🇷 Japan 🇯🇵, America, Australia 🇦🇺, etc.
I could not say enough good things this place was amazing we got a couples massage my husband and I left feeling sooo relaxed and they took us in same day ! Very respectful clean and peaceful here. Would definitely come back !
Dan was amazing and so calming. Hes got some amazing island stories and recommendations for some cool spots on this beautiful island. Hes definitely born to heal. Highly recommend!
We wanted a massage on the beach as Ive never had one on the beach. Weather was uncertain if rain or not so we just did inside. I am a massage therapist and I have to say my massage was amazing! Thank you so much hopefully Ill be back sometime in the near future. Being from Wisconsin not sure when that might be. 😁
Ask for an open air massage for 2 couples when I made the reservation in person. When we got there, those arrangements had not been made and they acted put out that they had to set that up when we got there. This took time so our time on the table was cut short a little. Then we ask to have 2 credit cards for billing for 2 couples and the manager seemed to have a difficult time figuring that out. Im still trying to sort that out but it appears he charged each card for 4 messages. I have been here several times before in the past and never encountered any problems until this trip
I had a Swedish massage and a facial which were both very good but I was a bit disappointed when I arrived and entered into the room. It is not a spa. It is just a room. It is clean a fine but not the complete spa experience.
The massage was great. Very relaxing and as expected. However, was very surprised to find out that tip amount was being charged on entire reservation amount, including $80 of cabana rental fee and taxes. Normally tip is given for the services rendered, but not in this case. Overcharge for sure.
Had a great experience, did the couples 60 minute massage. The therapists were amazing, they hit all the spots we needed them to. We each had some sunburns and they put aloe Vera on the spots for us. Overall had a great experience.
Very relaxing and calming atmosphere. The workers and masseuse were very professional, kind, and welcoming.
Overall, the massage was just okay. However, they should have just cancelled massages for that day. It was a Sunday and the plumbers were outside jackhammering the sidewalk, which was VERY VERY LOUD AND NOT RELAXING. I was so upset. Of course, no one cared. This was the worst hotel experience!
My sister and I visited this spa while vacationing in Hawaii. Our appointments were scheduled for 12:30pm. As avid spa goers , we were excited. We arrived early to enjoy some relaxation and maybe a cup of tea before our treatments. When we arrived the front desk of the spa is just podium located outside. After we checked in the manager asked us to have a seat on a BENCH outside next to the podium or to come back closer to the appointment time. When we inquired about the relaxation area, he informed us they didnt have a relaxation area, neither do they provide robes , no locker room, no hot tea, no amenities...NOTHING!!!! This is not a spa! They charge $200 for a massage that is done in a make shift room . My therapist showed up 5 mins before the start of my treatment in causal wear with flip flops. My sister massage therapist didn’t even know what a lomi lomi massage really was. After the treatment , the manager was nowhere to be found the podium was empty. There was no one there to check us out , to ask us how our experience was. I also never submitted an intake form. This by far has been the worst spa experience I ever had.
Not your typical spa experience. The spa takes up a few suites of the hotel and the staff were very professional. I was with a girlfriend, and we had side-by-side massages. I was lucky enough to have Adam for both my massage and sound bath. I had been suffering from a frozen shoulder and he was able to help my should feel like new after a 1 hour massage. He is very intuitive and has great hands! Highly recommend his healing massage to anyone visiting the area. Aloha and Mahalo Adam!
Got a couples massage today. Sierra and Lewis were fantastic. Got the deep tissue upgrade and lemme tell you... it hurt so good. Havent felt this loose in awhile. My only comments are:1: We wanted an appointment on short notice and they didnt respond to my online request right away so we ended having to call to confirm.2: I think the price was good for the services/atmosphere provided, but if you like to hang out and relax before/ after the treatment there wasnt really a place for that.
We did a sisters’ massage in the gazebo with the sound of the Pacific Ocean in our ears. Both masseuses were wonderful and mine noticed areas that needed attention and worked on them wonderfully.
It was not a complete massage as chest and stomach areas were not addressed. In addition. Only the outer areas of some body parts were massaged. I was expecting a complete profession massage. When I was asked what body areas to concebtrate on I though these were in addition to All areas. Is there a big liability issue with this restricted form of masage? I am not asking for anything more but just a complete massage.
Had a wonderful experience! Though I feel absolutely horrible that I cant remember the name of the gentleman who worked on me. I got an oceanside, Lomi Lomi massage. Im recovering from a fractured foot and he took great care in handling it. Incredibly relaxing, and so glad I got to experience such a unique technique.
I was hit really hard with swollen ankles while on the Big Island. Lotus Spa was there. I got a next day appointment for feet, ankles and legs and by the end of the appointment I could see my ankles again. Yeah. I also had a pleasant visit with the Massage Therapist.
My husband and I scheduled a beach side hour-long massage at the Lotus Spa while in Kona for our first anniversary. The location was perfect, on the beach yet secluded at sunset. The massage therapists were very professional and personable. I only wanted my neck/shoulders/feet massaged and the therapist was extremely respectful of that. I had a tightened area in my neck that resulted in a migraine a few days earlier and the massage therapist successfully loosened the troubled area. He provided me a very deep massage, which I had asked for. The therapists were very informative about what they were working on as we asked them questions throughout the massage. We left incredibly relaxed, happy and de-stressed.
Interesting experience. No frills, great massage. Had to call to make an appointment, and then once I was finished, the owner had to call me to complete payment, including tip, at the exit door. This was a little strange, but the massage was very professional.
I have had many massages in my life. I’ve had them at other resorts on vacation, in chiropractic offices, and at chains like hand and stone. This massage was the worst massage I’ve had. My wife and I scheduled an hour couples massage. We show up to the “spa” which should have immediately been a red flag. The spa is a podium outside of three hotel rooms. Once in the room it is clearly run down. The masseuses are dressed in their day clothes and extremely unprofessional. The woman giving the massage asks my wife personal questions and comments that she had a “good body”. The actual massages were poor at best. Both masseuses did not seem professionally trained. It was like they looked up how to give a massage on YouTube. They were also not methodical in their massages at all. My masseuse had me start on my back then go to my stomach and then to my back again. He just jumped around places he was massaging. They felt along our bodies until there was a point of tension and then just pushed really hard. I enjoy deep pressure massages but this was different. They were just pushing on the tight spots with their fingers rather than actually massaging. Along with the massages being subpar was their attention to privacy. Every other time I have gotten a massage the masseuse is very careful to tuck the blanket around your body to preserve modesty. Not here. They removed the sheet and just exposed half of our bodies. The room was cold with only a sheet to cover you. I am in more pain now after the massage than before. Save your money and do not go here.
Had the most amazing massage Ive had in a while here. Julia was my therapist and she was phenomenal. She knew her muscle groups well and was generous with her time and very attentive to my needs. I would highly recommend her and this place
Absolutely LOVE this place. Perfect location if you stay at the Royal Kona resort. I had 1.5 hour deep tissue massage from a young desi gentleman (I will call to get his name). I called later in the evening wanting to loosen up for the plane ride and though it was a Sunday AND after hours, they graciously accommodated me. The gentleman checked in with me to see which areas I thought needed attention and in general any health issues and was VERY good about checking my comfort level throughout the entire massage. Comfort being level of sensitivity but also to areas that I did not want to be exposed or massaged. That was THE BEST massage therapist. I have never had any male massous be that respectful and always checking in with me. He was able to keep the level of intensity up throughout the hour and half. Check this place out. It is worth every dollar. Wished I would have done both at the beginning and end of my vacation.
Cheryl/Sheryl (sp?) Was amazing, professional, kind, conversational, and sent me on my way feeling 14 times better than when I walked in. I had the medium tissue lomi lomi massage, and it was absolutely perfect. I was about to spend the next 18 hours on planes and airports and my body hardly noticed. 💜
Have gotten a lot of massages and this was 5 star. Last minute decision to book, they accommodated me in an hour. 90min deep tissue with Ansel was heavenly. He incorporated some stretching too which was appreciated. Hit muscles I didn’t know I had. Just book it!
We booked the oceanside couples massage followed by a Reiki session for 2 couples, they were very helpful in organizing the 2 appointments for 2 couples. I did have to follow up on my initial email to book but once we had contact with each other they were very responsive. It is a little bit of a walk for the ocean side massage, however it was very worth it and it is a beautiful walk to get there. The sound of the waves crashing drowns out any possible noise from the nearby pool and it was even raining for part of it which added to the ambience. The massage itself was possibly the best Ive ever had (it was the lomi lomi massage) and I felt amazing during and afterwards. Next was the Reiki session, I have never done this before so I had no idea what to expect, I had some general knowledge of the practice but nothing I have experienced first hand. I have been having this issue where I have pressure in my ears that can radiate through my sinuses from tinnitus when I lay in bed a certain way that often causes me trouble to fall asleep every single night for the past 6+ months. By the way, I did not disclose this issue at all to them. I actually didnt disclose any issues I have been experiencing period. Well during the session, I felt a sensation in my head for a bit. Not uncomfortable in any way but the only way to describe it is energy flowing through my head. A few mins of this and out of nowhere my one ear pops, then my other ear pops a few times and back to the other. Ever since this appointment I have had no issues at night falling asleep and absolutely no pressure in my ears or sinuses. I have tried many things to help relieve this and nothing has worked... I absolutely recommend this spa, thank you for the amazing healing experience.
Very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. My massage therapist was excellent. I would recommend Lotus Center to anyone staying in Kona.
SUCH A MAGICAL MASSAGE! Don’t look any further, stop into The Lotus Spa at the Royal Kona. The ambiance is magical from the moment you walk into the garden! I did a 60m Swedish massage the day after hiking down to Captain cook. The lovely ladies were very thoughtful and asked if we had any areas of tension before magically rolling all my problems away! Will definitely go again next time I’m in town, if not one more time before I leave! THANK YOU SAHRAH! ✨🥹💕
My wife and I were staying in town for our honeymoon and The Lotus Spa came highly recommended. We had a 90 minute ocean front couples massage. Our massage therapists Brent and Lily were great. Truly a worthwhile experience when in Hawaii and would highly recommend this establishment, and our massage therapists to others seeking a relaxing massage experience.
Booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I for his birthday and we both enjoyed it so much!10/10 recommend. Very friendly and professional staff. Amazing overall experience.
The massage was wonderful but the room that it was done in left a bit to be desired. Through the open window you could hear the conversations of employees on break so it wasnt very relaxing.
The massage therapist did incredible work on my body. I carry my tension and anxiety in my shoulders and neck. After 90 minutes of the Lomi Lomi massage I could roll my shoulders, turn my neck and breathe deeper. She did a mix of deep tissue massage where my muscles especially needed it. I highly, highly recommend asking for Janaki Allison as your next massage therapist. Thanks so much!
My husband and I are staying at the Kona Resort on Big Island to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. While there, I decided to have a spa day at The Lotus Center Spa, located at this resort. First, I experienced a salt scrub and facial. Kiana was my esthetician, and she is incredibly gifted. Kiana was very professional and put me at ease immediately. My skin felt amazing once she finished her work. When she was done, Kiana walked me to the area where I had a massage on the beach. The area was private and perfectly set up for my massage. Preston was my massage therapist, and he is incredibly talented at what he does. I suffer from chronic headaches, and Preston used some techniques to help relieve them, which he then showed me how to do. My massage started with reflexology and moved into deep tissue work. Preston has a unique approach, which he used to relax the muscles in my neck and shoulders. The best way I can describe his work is to say he moved the muscles into the pressure. I left the massage with a wonderful sense of well being and did not have any headache issues for the remainder of the day. I know this review is long, so I will just end it by saying I would highly recommend The Lotus Center Spa and the two therapists who worked with me at the spa.
Me and my Mom had our first spa treatment here and it was amazing. The service was so kind to us and they made sure we was comfortable and made us feel relaxed. I recommend going to the Lotus spa for a message treatment. Me and my mom cant wait to come back to the Lotus spa again.
The place looks ugly, dirty, and overall just downright gross. The overall booking process was disorganized and the person helping me was unprofessional. Frankly, I wasnt even sure if I was going to be seen. I needed to be rescheduled for my facial TWICE which messed up my vacation plans. This is shocking to me because I would think that this spa would be top notch for the price and location. Also, is this spa part of the Royal Kona or what? Its kind of confusing...If I return to Kona, I will definitely NOT be choosing The Lotus Center. Too much hassle and the value is not worth it.
It is our first visit to Lotus center with my wife and it’s a good experience for us. The center was very neat and clean. The rooms were big and air-conditioned. We enjoyed many spa services like manicure, pedicure, facial, waxing, deep tissue massage provided by them. Different techniques were applied by therapists. We got a lot of relaxation with healing effects and we prefer to go again and again.
Great massage. Very knowledgeable masusse. I forgot his name. I feel bad. He looks like Patrick Dempsey. Lol. Anyway he was awesome and I recommend anyone to go here. Look for the guy who looks like doctor mcdreamy!😂
On vacation and in need of some deep tissue treatment for my stiff neck. Lou did amazing work on the sore muscles and I can now continue with my vacation with much less pain.
Stay far, far away. My wife and I had booked a couples massage with Lotus for our 2 year anniversary that we were spending in Hawaii. I was excited, as I had been referred by my chiropractor to get a massage for a massive knot in my shoulder. When we got there 30 minutes early, there was one man waiting at a counter that told us that wed have to come back closer to our appointment time. No issue, guess well just go shopping for a bit. We come back 5 till and are taken through a hotel room turned massage parlor to the back patio, where we were to wait. When we got back there, there was a dead lizard sitting on the patio that was being swarmed by ants. Looked like it had been sitting there for a day or two. Is it hard to grab a broom and dustpan to clean that up?We waited about 10 minutes and were then taken into a room for our massages. I told my masseuse that I had been recommended by my chiro for some severe shoulder pain and a giant knot behind my shoulder paint. She said she understands and would be able to take care of me.90 minutes later, the massage is over and I feel no better than when I went in. I was extremely confused as to why I had to get up and rinse myself twice and had a very short massage that didnt target anything that I had discussed. Come to find out, the manager (of which my wife talked with on the phone and email prior to our vacation) scheduled us for a moisturizing massage, which is a 30 minute sea salt scrub, rinse, 30 minute aloe wrap, rinse, then a 30 minute massage.I explained to the man that I had no idea what it was when going in, seeing as my wife was confused about it as well, but we dont normally try to make a scene in public about this kind of stuff. Explained myself to the man at the counter and he said he would try to get me in for a deep tissue massage. sweet! I thought. He said he call me in about 15 minutes to schedule me, as hed have to find a masseuse thatd be able to deal with my shoulder. So we paid the ~$300 bill and went back to our room. The man called me back and said that he could get me in within the next 30 minutes. Awesome! So I ask him what itll cost, as I was assuming theyd realize the mistake and help out. He said itd be full price, plus tax, plus gratuity. I am enraged.I explained to the man that we had discussed with him what we were needing before the trip. He threw it back in my face and tried to blame my wife, saying that she specifically asked for this. That was completely untrue, as I sat next to her for every call.In conclusion, just stay far away. Find another massage/spa on the island. This is a complete tourist trap.
My husband booked a couples massage for an outside gazebo and it was awesome!!!! Lillian and Maria were professional and friendly! Possibly the best massage of my life! We were comfortable and enjoyed the ocean sounds, and the gentle breeze!
Had a wonderful couples massage before my husband and I left Kona. We both had wonderful massages and feel great!
Absolutely loved my 90 minute lomi lomi massage today. I’m horrible with names and forget them as soon as I hear them, but my therapist was amazing. She took into account all my problem areas and worked them perfectly.
We did a couples massage 90 minutes. Did the lomi lomi, a must do massage when on the island.
Very accommodating. We were a large group. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their massage, and felt better after.
I would give them a 1/2 star if I could. After waiting for 15 minutes, I visited the filthy restroom. I was ready to walk out the door just then as they called my name. I ordered a 3 hour princess nani for $300.00 yep $300.00. The therapist was sweet but could not speak English well and was not experienced in message therapy.. The place was disorganized and I felt like it was going through motions verses a Sap treatment. The Facial was just applying product and quickly removing. The dressing and shower areas were also unkept, dirty and non-draining bath-tub. The brown towels had bleach stains on them, in fact I was shocked that they would be in use for a spa. I felt like I was having a spa day at motel six... AVOID THIS PLACE.
The Lotus Center Spa is a beautiful place with full of all the amenities. All the people are very supportive in the center. We had enjoyed Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, the therapists were very expert and they apply different techniques. So we recommend others also to this spa center and enjoy your life!!!
Excellent Experience!!! Health and wellness always have been the part of life. The Lotus Center Oceanfront Massage full services offering massage, body treatment. There are different offers manicure, pedicure, facial and hair removals, yoga, couple massage and lots. I enjoyed it Lotus Center oceanfront massage, manicure and pedicure massage.
Lillian Cruz was the best massage therapist hands down ever! The hot stone massage was worth every single penny!Highly highly recommended
You have to search relaxation therapy in Kona, Hawaii The Lotus center is the best place. I absolutely love this place! They are very accommodating and professional. I felt very relaxed and respected here. The Lotus center provide all type relaxation therapy like hot stone massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, waxing, manicure and pedicure, facial etc.
The Lotus Center has really amazing massage therapist stuff, they gave me a deep tissue massage therapy and after talking this my first word was Wow! It was truly outstanding. Now going to make another appointment hot stone massage. Cant wait!
Really enjoyed our couples Massage at Lotus ..Felt alot of relief from a long flight ✈️ and it made me relax and enjoy the rest of our trip at Kona...Recommend to visitors for a relaxing time and rejuvenation. THANK YOU !
Pricing is fair. Massage quality is ok. Atmosphere is lacking, too noisy for me.
I got a 90 minute massage on the gazebo outside and it was wonderful! The staff was very nice and professional and the sound of the ocean was so relaxing. It was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend!
One of the most effective massages of my life, involving a mixture of deep tissue, cradling and Thai/stretching techniques. I am left feeling good and totally relaxed. Lotus Center is a nice place.
My daughter and I enjoyed wonderful 90 minute massages. Such a treat on vacation.
The massage with the sound of waves crashing had the potential to Be a 10. However, some effort needs to be put into the facility itself. It shod not look dumpy. About $200 spent on organization and cleanliness would be a huge improvement.
We waited forever despite having an appointment, my massage was in a room with what appeared to be storage items, and the walls were PAPER THIN. Not exactly a relaxing experience. We won’t be returning.
It was relaxing and nice. However, it was least best massage that I have ever had.Update: 4 months after my comment I received the Thank you for your feedback response. Really??
Our beach certificate couples honeymoon massage was right out of a movie or resort commercial. It was exactly how nice you would think it is. Wish we could afford to do it again
My therapist, Susan was phenomenal. She gave me the deepest Lomi Lomi massage ever, and I am a massage therapist, so I know whats great.
Had a great couples massage. Scheduling took a little long but they were good about getting back to us to schedule.
They have a chiropractor at this location as well. Was not a fan! Body hurt a lot worse when I walked out then coming in. He didn’t listen and really did nothing. Would not recommend!
Excellent massage, super relaxing, very positive massuse. Definitely recommend.
In one word, “ absolute disgusting” if you want clean massage service, please don’t waste money and go somewhere else.
Convenient as its in the resort. Very good massages but not best
This place exceeded my expectations. Lily made sure I was very comfortable.
Wonderful deep tissue massage was just what I needed to unwind!
Couples sunset massage was amazing!
Fantastic massage. My wife and I did not feel the time go by.
Very average, not a relaxing environment with staff walking in and out of the hallway. Opening and closing the door.
It was an ok massage in a not so fancy place. Expected more for the money.
Loved our couples Swedish massage.
Amazing couples massage and facial for me ❤️
Got a 90 minute massage from their massage therapist Adam and it was amazing.
Never called us back.Received an acknowledgement right away, but no follow up. :-(
Had my first massage here and the staff was very kind and friendly
I had a great massage experience.
Very helpful for my sciatica. Excellent attention.
Great massage in Kona!
It was never open as far as I could see. There was a contact form to fill out but it wasnt what I needed.
