My bar is such a vibe 🌈💕👯‍♀️ My bf and I were in the search for fun, inclusive nightlight while staying in Kona. Found this place and we were so stoked it was karaoke night. The queens are talented and do amazing crowd work. We had such a blast and it was my bfs first lap dance 🪩 😘 This was truly the only place that was f’n fun on the island. I love the community, good music, the drinks were good, pool tables are free, plenty of room, nice outdoor patio, I loved all of the local conversationalist. Truly a night I’ll always remember ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Super homely atmosphere. The drag show on Wednesday night was surprisingly good! Almost 2 hours of non stop entertainment. And quite a packed venue once 9 pm and the start time ticked over.

Fun place! After about a week on the island, we quickly learned through locals (on both sides of the island) that THIS is the place to be. So on a recent night we went and had a fun time. It was Pitbull night! So we got bald caps! Easily one of the highlights of our trip!

My Bar was a blast! We went every night we were on the island.Our first night there was a Wednesday night and the incredible Sabel Cities was hosting her show. I was so impressed that it started on time and my side hurt from how hard Sable had me laughing. Dont miss her show but be on time because it really does start at 9:00 pm unlike most drag shows.We really did go every night because we had so much. They have karaoke on Thursday night and Sunday night and who could forget the swimwear night on Saturday. My Bar was also the host of the Hawaii Gay Kickball Classic we were playing in. They hosted an amazing opening night party for us and closing night party.I will disagree with other reviews on the pizza because we loved the pizza and chicken tenders!The bartenders and staff are AMAZING!

Cute place, i went too early for any partying but i was able to chat with some locals/regulars that were very nice and welcoming. Will definitely go back if im ever in the area again.

Had an awsome night at My bar on 09/12/19. Great place to be exspecially on event nights. Recommended for all and check out the very amazing bartenders. Come check them out and give My bar a try!

Great place to have drinks with friends, especially on Halloween.

Safe LGBT places are tough to come by and even more so in smaller, less traveled areas. Come check this place out. Run by two pillars of their communities, great atmosphere and stiff drinks.

My husband and I were told this place was a popular spot and lgbt friendly so we decided to give it a go. While this could be true, 15 for a cover is just no bueno. We like to drink good gins and weren’t sure what was even offered here or at what cost. Since it was only open for another 2 hours we decided to find another bar for the night.

Best bar on the island! Really chill during the weeknights but has a nice nightlife on the weekends. Always fun. All the bartenders are really cool. You can tell the owners really take care of it. Its modern and, most importantly, clean!

Fun place to hang out. They have lots of functions here. For example salsa dancing on Wednesday night. Tuesday night is known as token Tuesday. The happy hour has decently cheap drinks. All the bartenders are super nice and fantastic.

Went here with my mma team from Portland oregon. The vibe was freeing and fun and we played pool all night and enjoyed the many nice people who attended as well. Very diverse music selection. Good drinks. Great inner decor.

This definitely felt like a locals only type of place. To say we stuck out like a sore thumb would be an understatement. We both love EDM music, and this place happened to be having a night of Techno. I felt like when we got there, no one was dancing, by the time we bounced, everyone was on the floor, cutting a rug. We dont drink, so we ordered bottled waters, those are $2.00 a piece, I couldnt tell you how much the drinks are. But there definitely is NOT a dress code, everyone there was dressed in their Saturday Best, flip flops, cut off shorts, and skimpy tops or if they were dudes, no tops at all... ha! Still had a fun night of dancing. I would also mention that the crowd felt 50/50 as far as Gay/Cisgendered goes. People were friendly, but mostly stuck to the people they knew.

Definitely more gay than gay friendly, but really a decent representation of all walks of life (including trans). Patrons and bar staff are extremely friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced (3.50 for a beer). Outdoor patio for smoking. Pool tables for those that prefer to do that.

We had an amazing time. Karaoke and pool were so fun. Bar tenders were lovely. We felt super safe and comfy!!

Update 10/8/19: So MyBar has become like my home away from home. Ive legit fallen in love with this place and the people that work there. Amazing staff, Amazing Bartenders. One thing that I love is they all try and remember your drink after the first time you order it. Positive attitudes, Keep the drama out the door, and have fun is really what theyre about. Whether youre there by yourself or with a group of friends it definitely is a welcoming place. Not only that but they have a number of different events throughout the month. Ive been to plenty of gay clubs before and this bar is different in the sense that everyone here literally respects and theres that Family feel to it. Karaoke on Sundays, Salsa on Wednesdays, theyve also been huge in the development of Kona Pride.Original: ive been here twice so far. Its not my kind of music but every once in a while they throw in some stuff that I like. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. Theyve got pool tables and a couple of lounge areas, the dance floor is a little small but over all its nice if you just want to grab a drink and people watch.

Had a great experience at this bar. Arrived at midnight. Drinks were very reasonable. No cover charge. Free use of the billards, and was able to play with 2 of the locals who were very, very nice. Thursday night is Dance night, so was able to dance, even though it was by myself.I would highly recommend this bar, as it has a very nice dance hall to music video. Music wasnt too loud so you could actually talk to people. Very acccommodating the bisexual, transgendering people like me....no questions asked. Felt special, as people asked me my name, where I am from, and socialized, something that I was looking for since I have been alone this week.Would like to visit again.

Bartenders dulled the experience for me. If they were more professional then it would have been a way different experience. Waited 10min for a drink 3 times. They only take one order at a time. If they came up to multiple people and took orders down the line then it would be more efficient.And poor location for the dance floor. Music so loud that bartenders have to ask multiple times for what you order becuase they cannot hear.

It was nice checked out the New Patio, smoked some Cigars had a couple Stellas those beers were Great! Thanks to Rocco, reminded us of the bars in South Beach great lighting.

You must try the creamy cucumber drink....if you dont drink, playing pool or just appreciate the artwork and make amazing new friends! Nothing but great souls and music here! Check for events because the local DJ action is like no other in kona and they are creating a scene for all walks of life to come together and enjoy. Also the DJs here you cant see anywhere else publicly (the hidden musical gems play here) come see for yourself the entertainment differences like no other place in kona !

Some of the bar tenders and owners seem to have a click and are overly judgmental. If you have a option then they kick you out, and say its your fault. I have never felt so hated at a gay bar than I have here!!!

Not going to spend 20 dollars for a cover charge while those in front of me got in for free. Not spending money to get in only to pay more on drinks. Not worth it. Decided to create a small party on the beach instead.

Theyre at capacity! Except for the 10 people in the lot who someone knows. So this place operates over capacity, seems sketch, better luck anywhere else in Hawaii.

Woman who enforces the mask policy provides the impression that she was trained by a military force, possibly the old KGB? She goes overboard, I believe in not allowing people time to actually have a drink from their glass.

Tuesdays are fun for less of a crowd. However, if youre from out of town and go on a Saturday, expect shade from the locals.

Great place. I did leave on one occasion because a day patron dropped a a gay slur or two which was not appropriate for the location.

Wow ! Talk about looking for affection... sad place looking for substance. Yet it charges $8 dollars just to get in...... the sad thing about it is I usually spend $145 personally yet the $8 turned me away.

Charm and fun salted with humor and peppered with wit. The My Bar is really a place to linger. Despite the few guests on a Monday, the bartender rocked the place and got the guests on their feet.Contrary to all expectations, the pizza that was advertised was also quite good. Unfortunately I cant judge it conclusively, but it smelled delicious.Ill definitely enjoy a drink again.
