Margaret M. took the time to look at seemingly 100 color swatches for my color correction. She asked me plenty of questions to make sure she understood my goals for my hair. She never made me feel like my questions or concerns were stupid. I am about a week out from my cut and color, and my hair looks and feels so amazing. Plus, the prices the salon charges make my self care so much more accessible. I had tried other salons because I couldnt afford to see Margaret at her previous salon, which led to the need for color correction. The salon itself is beautiful and clean and all of the staff were helpful and inviting. I will definitely be recommending your salon to all of my friends!

Amber Wallace gave me the most beautiful caramel balayage! Ive been reluctant to color my hair and had never tried balayage before, but this experience was top notch. I love the color, depth and dimension! Thank you so much.

If I could rate this place a zero star I would The girl Julian did my hair and Im going to show you pictures of what I wanted but it look like afterwards and what it look like one week later she only let it process for 15 minutes and rinsed it all out together and I was told $125 by the time I was done it was 190 and I have really thin and short hair I will not recommend this place to nobody and I mean that from the bottom of my heart if youre coming for low lights and highlights!!!!!!

What a great salon and vibe. Went in to see Amber, who has been doing my hair for years in a previous town. So excited we have both moved ro KC area now so she can do my hair once again. She gave me a color retouch and cut. An added bonus was the phenomenal product that didnt leave me feeling toxic afterward.

Graysen is amazing! I brought her a difficult bleach job and she was a miracle worker. She explained everything she was doing and kept expectations realistic the entire appointment. It was a long service but I never felt like she was rushing or cutting corners. 10/10 recommend her for bleaching hair!

I’ve been going to Roots & Branches salon since the day it opened. Molly is the kindest person, very professional and would do anything for anyone! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. With an extensive portfolio, it’s evident each stylist is passionate about their work! I’m excited to see this new location! Highly recommend!

Molly, the owner at Roots and Branches, is incredible. I was PSYCHED to know she opened a second location in Waldo which is right down the road from me!She’s done balayage, foils, and other color/styles for me over the years and I’ve loved my hair every time. I’m extremely picky when it comes to my hair and she knows how to deliver. I feel comfortable here— the environment is aesthetically pleasing, high quality but very laid back. The other stylists have great energy and everyone is kind.10/10!

Molly has been doing my hair for 15 years, and I wouldn’t trust anybody else! She is the best at what she does. Visiting her salon is an experience in itself with snacks and beverages available, quality hair products to purchase, and even an attached Yoga studio to catch a class. Plus, there is plenty of parking and many restaurants around to grab a bite before or after. I can’t recommend Roots & Branches highly enough!

Roots and Branches has been my go to salon for the past nine years. I am always impressed with the level of professionalism and training that all of their stylist have. Molly (the owner) works with all of the stylist to set an impeccable level education and quality service that Ive never had a bad experience, no matter who my stylist is. All of her stylists listen intently to what their clients hair goals are and recommend products and tips and tricks to help them achieve their salon hair at home. Im thrilled they opened a second location in Waldo, which makes it so much more convenient for me. I cannot recommend this salon enough, I always get compliments on my hair and have joked that I need my own business cards. From brunette to blonde and back to bronde you wont be disappointed.

Gosh. I dont know what to say. Were moving to the area, and were in town for the weekend. Based on the amazing reviews, I booked an appointment for myself and our daughter to get haircuts.The salon has a great vibe! I loved the shampoo bowl and the scalp massage.The stylist was relatively new to the industry and frankly seemed to lack experience.My in hair is wavy; our daughters hair is curly. She had to blow my hair straight prior to thinning it out a bit and cutting. That seemed odd and should have maybe been a clue. The cut itself was nothing special and in fact lacked style. The style everyone seems to leave there with is like a twisted curl.... very common and lacking originality.My daughter left close to tears--the stylist didnt have a clue how to work with curly hair, and told my daughter we dont have diffusers. 👀😳 She left with a wet, frizzy head of hair and is now back in the hotel room restyling it. Not sure what I just paid for in that situation. 😞This is not an insult to the stylist--but she should have been more transparent with her lack of experience with curly hair.We will continue looking for a new stylist and Ive learned to ask more questions when booking a service.Im seriously happy the clientele is happy with their hair and hope my feedback is a learning tool as opposed to an insult. ❤️

I asked if they had a menu of procedures and how much coloring of roots only was but I was told to look at it online and I had trouble looking at it up online. I think having a menu of services and prices available at your place of business would be a good idea

Molly at Roots and Branches is hands down the best colorist in KC. The whole staff is talented and lovely to be around so you cannot go wrong with any of the stylists! So excited to have a location closer to home!

Followed Tristin here from his last salon and fell in love with the atmosphere. He gives the greatest cuts and i always leave loving my hair. would highly recommend for anyone with textured to curly hair and looking for something new!

Jill did an amazing job with my cut and color! I was worried about going blonder and the maintenance that comes with it, but she helped me find the perfect happy balance!

I had a magical afternoon at Roots and Branches :) Tristan is a true professional and takes pride in his work. You can tell from the energy he shares with his clients. He uses his intuition to guide his creativity - an artist in every sense of the word. I will be back :)

Horrible management and customer service. I’ve been going here for about 8 years maybe and had a much better experience with previous stylists/ management/owner. Shame. Do not waste your time or money.
