Kip and Christina were true professionals! It was my BF’s first massage, and they made us feel so comfortable. Great guidance on areas to work on mobility and just a blissful experience all around! Will absolutely be back!

In town for a two-week professional event. Was in search of a massage for some relief from 8 hours a day, 12 days in a row, in a chair and staring at a laptop. My 60-minute massage with Kip was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Short 15-minute walk from the convention center/Loews hotel. 10/10 highly recommend!! Thanks Kip and Solaris!!

I was recently in Kansas City, Missouri waiting on a flight so I decided to kill time by getting a massage. It was freezing outside (wind chill of 26° & snowing) when I decided on Solaris Massage due to their reviews Once GPS lead me to their location, I found parking immediately right out front which was great! When I walked over to the doors that appeared to be their front entry, they were locked. I was a bit puzzled so I walked around the side of the building and saw a sign that read, Solaris Massage entry around the corner with an arrow pointing to the right. I wasnt sure if it was in a different building or not so I drove circles around the block a few times before deciding to call. I spoke with a receptionist who informed me she was not at the location & would have to email Solaris to see if they had any available times. A few minutes after hanging up, I received a text message saying, Hello Liana, were sorry but we do not accept walk-ins. Thank you for choosing Solaris, Goodbye. I was pretty bummed because I had my mind set on a massage and the time was now nearing me needing to be at the airport. So, I didnt get a massage at all & wasted a good amount of time with a company that didnt accept walk-ins. Had that been specified on their website, I would have either made a quick appointment or chose a different business that DID accept walk-ins. Perhaps BOLD FACING your no walk-ins welcome, would catch peoples eye so they dont waste time as I did for nothing.

My 90 minute hot stone massage with Violisa was perfect! She worked through all the tough bits of tension in my shoulders without it feeling uncomfortable even once. The pace of the massage felt decadent and the pressure was just right. I always love my trips to this locally and woman owned business!

My partner and I both got massages here on our day off.My service was done by Zeth. He was bot intuitive and did ask plenty of questions to make sure everything went as needed. Although I didnt go to maximum pressure it was evident that he is strong.My partner was serviced by Violisa and said that she did a great job working out tension through pressure points. Also, without knowing there was an existing hip issue she did spend extra time on that part of the body.Overall it was a great experience.

Parts of the massage were relaxing, couples massage was awkward at first because they failed to ask me or my girl if we had a preference in male or female for our massages. The older gentleman wreaked my knees and they hurt bad going on 2 days now. I have to run and go to the gym so this is terrible. Nice people but weird feeling and pain after my massage. Do not recommend!

Recently stayed at the nearby Crossroads Hotel and booked a 90-minute massage with Christina at Solaris. I’ve seen probably fewer than a dozen different massage therapists in my life, but this massage was the best!! I will likely be making more trips to KCMO just to see Christina. Side note: Wendy was super-accommodating, and a joy to work with on booking a session!

We were coming to KC for the weekend and on Friday decided to try to find a couples massage. We were able to book and pay very easily online. Our massages were excellent! I’m also 20 weeks pregnant and the massage was one of, if not the best I’ve ever had. He hit all my pressure points and helped relax the tension in my neck, shoulders, and lower back. My husband also said that his massage was excellent and his masseuse had strong hands, helping his back aches and pains. Definitely recommend!!

I am incredibly particular about what I like in a massage & have chronic conditions that make massage both helpful & difficult to get. I am usually disappointed & was not expecting half as good of a massage as Kips deep tissue. The pressure was perfect & the techniques effective to address my pain; it was precisely what I needed. Best massage Ive had in at least 5 years, I will absolutely be back & do recommend.

It is important to me to have a therapist whos been fully vaccinated. I had an appointment with John , and he was fantastic! The massage itself was amazing! I have some medical issues with my neck but he eased immediately and I felt John had done better for me then the doctors these last few years! I felt comfortable, safe and also incredibly relaxed. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I both had our first professional massage here and it was perfect! A very clean, calm, small, quiet location. Our therapist walked us through every step and made us feel very comfortable. We picked the hour long couples massage and I felt like the price was well worth it. We will definitely be going back!

Had a great deep-tissue massage from Zeff today. Really really relaxing. Zeff is super strong but knows when to apply. Some of the best calve and foot work I’ve ever had. Easy check-in/check out. Will be back.

Worst massage Ive ever received. I hear the guy is good but I got the lady and its by far the worst experience getting a massage Ive ever had. I can guarantee Ill never waste my $$ there again and I suggest you dont either. Btw if youre going to charge 200 for a couple you should have it in a nicer location instead of a run down brick building...

I love the down to earth atmosphere, very casual and stress free. I have throughly enjoyed a massage from many therapists at Solaris. My personal preference would be for Kip or Elizabeth but they are all wonderful and professional. Many different techniques and if your looking for a prenatal massage this is the place for you mama!

I recently went in for a massage because I couldn’t handle my back pain. The massage therapist that was assigned to me was John and he was amazing. I felt immediate relief after the deep tissue massage, and even two days later I’m still pain free. Will definitely be returning.

We had a couples massage. The ladies were very friendly and professional. The actual decor was vintage? I guess you could say, but it wasnt a cute vintage it was just more like old and it didnt feel very clean. The massage was more like acupressure or trigger point not really a full massage. We did not feel relaxed or any different when we were done. We were an evening appointment so we are assuming the therapist were just tired and hands were hurting from a whole day of massages. Unfortunately, bc of the whole experience we will not be returning. I gave two stars just for the ladies because of how professional they were and the assumption that they do a better job when they are not tired.

Every time I go to Solaris, I come out feeling like a million bucks. The hot stone massage is outstanding, and I highly recommend it. The stones provide a smooth, even heat which unclenches your muscles. This makes the massage therapists hands feel even better.The professionalism of the staff is outstanding - they discover points of tightness and pain without me needing to spell it out to them, which always impresses me. Ive had at least three different masseurs, and I feel like Ive been in good hands, no matter who performed the massage.Ive had a couples massage, and it was a relaxing, peaceful, and safe environment. My girlfriend really enthused about it afterwards. I highly recommend Solaris Massage for when you need to relax and let go.

I recently completed a so called deep tissue massage at Solaris Massage. I was quite disappointed by the masseuses level of professionalism and skill. Three things: 1: when I came in the door the person Kat handed me a clip board and asked me to fill it out. She didnt introduce herself first and she was actually the person who was going to give me my massage. I felt like she was going through the motions. 2: the massage therapist didnt know how to do a proper deep tissue and when I asked her what type of massage she was giving me she said Im giving you my version of a deep tissue. I pretty much do the same thing for everybody but for a deep tissue I just press harder. Not to mention she said people have asked her that before. She actually hurt my wrist and spine by applying pressure where you shouldnt put pressure like my bones. 3: I still had to pay full price for it and now Im worse because Kat isnt trained properly for Deep Tissue massage. (There are established techniques)Kat: if you are not properly trained in a certain type of massage you shouldnt try to perform it and you certainly should offer it as a service! You could and did hurt someone! That is false advertisement on top of that. Well, thats my 2 cents. Lesson learned and still looking.

Just had a couples massage and we both agree it was hands down the best massage weve ever had. It was so relaxing and just all around a great experience.

Called for couples massage. Receptionist answered. As she was setting the appointment I asked if I could request a female masseuse. I get 2-3 massages monthly and steongly prefer a female over a male for my own comfort. She acted like I asked if I was asking their race, then if the were licensed, then their height. I said are you messing with me? Can you really not understand what Im asking. She responded with we dont set gender request appointments, do you want me to cancel the appointment. I canceled the appointment purley for how absolutely rude the receptionist was. So I said yes cancel the appointment. She said good luck finding a massage. Lol. Called another place, set an appointment, the other place asked me if I had a preference on a male of female masseuse.

I am a business traveler and booked a massage for what was supposed to be a free night in Kansas City. However, the morning I was leaving for KC, I found out that I needed to drive 2.5 hours south when I arrived and would no longer be staying in KC. I notified Solaris as soon as I found out. I tried to work something out with Wendy, but all she could do was repeat their 24hr cancellation policy over and over. I even tried to convince her to refund me for that day and I would rebook for the night before I flew out. She would gladly book me again, but still wouldnt do anything but repeat the 24hr rule about refunds. So thanks Wendy for screwing me out of $100 and doing nothing to work with me on a situation I could not control.

I had a 90 min deep tissue this past Sunday. Professional therapist and cool retro vibe for an office space but it really wasn’t a great deep tissue. She did about 30 minutes of deep tissue and then rest Swedish. I knew I needed a lot of work done and told her that. So know I’m still in pain and back to where I was. I’ve called once to give them feedback and in hopes of getting some phone call and again today Tuesday to let them know my disappointment. Anyway nothing has been done to at least try and make it right.

I dedided since my husband was going to be doing business in KC i would tag along and book a massage, being 8 months pregnant it only seemed right. Well after looking at the reviews i decided on Solaris. My first sign was when i booked my appointment on line and never recieved a call back to confirm my appoinment. I called the day before (Friday) and confirmed my appointment. I was in the books for Saturday the 7th for a 7:00 appointment great. Well i showed up at 6:25, to be early no doors were unlocked, waited about 10 minutes to see if anyone would come to the door... nothing, called the number she said they usually open the doors 15 min early, Yes i was sitting outside in 97 degree weather, long story short i left after sitting in the heat, pregnant for 45 min. WTF Solaris... i will NEVER, EVER refer your company to anyone we do business with that might be visiting KC. Sorry i have never has such poor customer service.

Just want to pose a question to the idiot who asked for references..What did you want, them to give you clients personal contact info? Were you dropped on the head or fed lead chips?Besides, everyone has a different opinion and experience as well as body types and reasons for getting a massage. Even if everyone else loves it (and by these reviews Id say so far so good) you might not.Thats the service industry for ya.

Not sure. I have a gift certificate to use but they want my credit card to make the appointment. So we will probably not get to use our gift that was given to us. Very sad.
