Twibar - Vignettes Pop-Up Bar

We really enjoyed this pop up! My sister and I are Twilight fans and we were excited to be able to come on opening night. The live music was good, the guys were fun to listen to. The drinks were good. The decor was well thought out.

Vignettes is really fun! This is our second time visiting, this time for their Office pop up, and they always do a great job. With their attention to detail, you’ll surely appreciate their touches on whatever you go there to see. We love The Office and from the entrance being like the Chili’s Dundies to everything in the dining area, including classic images and quotes, we had a great time. I tried a couple of cocktails inspired by the theme that were delightfully ridiculous. And I don’t know if it’s a regular feature, but the Vignettes reservation was good for free entry to ReRoll Tavern next door.

There is a lot I like and a lot that I feel could improve.Likes- a lot of the themes are cool, drinks are usually tasty, snacks arent too bad,Dislikes- paying for a reservation but no cover for walk ins, drinks are overpriced and went up a dollar to $14 for a very small amount you actually get served. Im not sure $14 for a very simple drink is quite worth itI love the idea of this place and its super fun. Its just hard to get past a lot of the pricing and charges. A couple cant even stop in for one drink without spending almost 50 bucks after tax, tip and drink, on top of reservation prices going up.

We visited for the Bobs BARgers pop up and had a great time! The theme and decor was on point, the staff was so friendly, food and drinks were delicious and creative, and the live music was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

We had so much fun with Twibar Twilight Trivia! The truck was orange but we had a great time! The staff was amazing and the MC made it awesome! Definitely recommend

Seen the Cartoon Bartoon Experience on Insta and thought Id make it just in time for the last day of the Cartoon Themed experience today August 11, but they tore it down early because there were no reservations for the day. They were preparing for the next theme, but I wont be here for it, which sucks. Im coming from STL, so its not that big a deal, but make sure to make reservations before getting your hopes up. Its disappointing, but I cant do much about it. The person I assumed was the artist of the themes was sweet, so make sure to reserve and show up!

I had a great time! Im not a big drinker, but the Chemical X was GOOOOOD. Its a shame that theyre switching themes so soon. The cartoon one is a fun concept!

There’s been a few times that I’ve wanted to go to this place but I HAD to make reservations for their Bobs Burgers theme! It was great- the decorations made it feel like you were in the show, the drinks were great and lined up with the show, and the burger was good! Was a bit expensive, but worth the prices.

Went by for Disney Trivia night with friends and it was one of the rare instances where the questions were actually sort of challenging! The drinks were good and they helped me figure out which menu items were safe due to an uncommon allergy and were super patient with my difficult requests.They change up the themes, so if you arent a fan of one, just ask about future themes!Their sister tavern next door, ReRoll, has a ton of tabletop games to play too, so if you want to go play games before an event there you can!

This bar is so fun to go and plan a fun night out with friends or your partner! It’s super interactive and the atmosphere is so energetic!! We went to the TTPD popup which was super fun and loved seeing all the art work everywhere! Whoever did the art did an amazing job🫶🏼

Apparation was awesome! Our service was amazing and the drinks were even better. The owner was awesome and even took our recommendation to reach out to a local brewery where we are from. (Chaos brewery in Joplin, MO.)We will definitely return!Thanks for a great time!

The Cartoon Bartoon was a lot of fun! We loved the themed drinks and the atmosphere was great! The staff is super friendly. Definitely go if you get the chance!

The theme was well done and fun. There is no real bar with stools, etc. The drinks are not good. Premium priced, but low quality. The focus on the drinks is executing a theme instead of making a good cocktail. A simple highball will cost you the same as one of their odd menu cocktails. Available beer... Busch light in a can. Wine options?... A $30 bottle of bad wine.

If you want a fun time with fantastic service you need to go to Vignettes. We went for a Christmas cocktail and took the entire family and it was a blast. Ed and team did a great job with our larger group and our bartender was a HUGE help with the scavenger hunt. This definitely needs to be on your list to visit as the scavenger hunt is challenging for everyone of all ages. We have a great time and highly recommend this out of the way gem in North Kansas City!

Loved it!! The decor was SO detailed and spot on! I’d recommend coming in your best attire based on the vignette!! The drinks are perfectly themed! Robert, Delaney, and Scott we’re fantastic! Absolutely recommend making a reservation on the weekends OR just popping in to check it out! Such a COOL place!! :)

Popped in for the Schitt’s Creek pop up bar and had a blast!! The drinks were awesome and the theming in point. Our server Robert was awesome, very attentive and made sure we were happy. The bartenders Delaney and Scott know how to mix a great cocktail and keeping with the theme! I can’t wait to come back and experience the next pop up theme and really hope they do Schitt’s Creek again in the future!! This is a fun addition to Northtown

A fun idea of a venue held back by poor staff. Our group actively wanted to order more food and drinks over our 3+ hour visit, but our server hardly came by the table at all. When we would get up to go order at the bar directly, we were shooed back to our table by the same server.I dont think the level of service would normally warrant a 1-star, but the server then felt it was appropriate to complain to me that I ONLY left a 10% tip on the bill after they failed to serve us. They did not ask what was wrong or what could have been improved, they merely kept saying really? over and over again.It was only the actions of one individual, but they made this place our worst bar visit in KC to date.

Had so much fun at trivia night at Vignette’s for the Stranger Things pop up bar! Decorations were so well made and the drinks were perfectly on theme (and very yummy). Dani and Robert are excellent hosts and made our experience very special. Will be back for the next pop up for sure!!!

I think the server wanted us to leave, she kept asking us if we were ok every 3 minutes. At $13 per drink I expected some time to enjoy them..Other than that- burgers were good, everyone was friendly, place looked great, and karaoke was enjoyable :)edit: went again and had a way better server, plus awesome bar staff and delaney!! which earned the 5th star after all lol

Came to the Mean Girls themed pop up bar Saturday 12/10 and had a blast! Cool Mom was a great server. The theme was so great and I love the decor! Would love to come back to another!

We have been to several of Apparitions pop-up bars and all have been well received up until the Sanderson Sisters & Spirits event at the old Deep Roots Restaurant & Bar (in Shawnee, KS) this past weekend. Although the decorations and presentation of the cocktails were all wonderful, the service was horrible and the quality of the cocktails (for the premium $$$ price) were extremely poor! We had reservations at 7pm, but werent seated until 7:30pm, our server (clearly overwhelmed) was not very friendly; they didnt accept cash payments, she got upset over us splitting checks (2 ways), it took 20 minutes to place our order, another 15 minutes to get our drinks; then they were out of several drinks, and when we finally got the drinks, they had minimum alcohol, had been mixed beforehand, and were overloaded with juice and syrup. Our party of 6 tried all the drinks on the menu too, and we all agreed that the $200 bill + tip of pre-mixed drinks that were all juice and very little booze was a total waste of money! The organizers/staff clearly spent most of their budget on decorations because the drinks were lousy! Good service could have easily made up for the sub-par drinks, but unfortunately the service too was lacking. We were all really excited for this event, so overall...it was a big disappointment!

Everything was great staff was awesome. Feel Luke they may need a few more hands but who doesnt. Had a great time.

The Bob’s BARgers pop-up was what dreams are made of! Tina was the all time best! We had such a great time. Highly recommend the Burger of the Day and the Horse Medicine shot (it taste better than it looks).

I’ve been to 3 of the pop-up bars at Vignette’s. They were all a blast!! The decorations are always spectacular.

Obsessed. My favorite childhood show coming to life! Gina was the best server. The drinks were amazing and I got to try a real life krabby Patty!!

My husband surprised me by taking me to this fun pop up bar while it was Nightmare before Christmas themed and I had a blast. The decorations were well put together and there was a clear attention to detail. The staff were all super friendly and the live music was top notch. We are excited to go back!

Kansas Citys first ever Spookeasy, and its just what weve been needing! Its an intimate venue, max capacity 50 or less. Its also not laid out for groups. I suggest the Haddonfield. Definitely most ideal if people have two drinks and move on, because space is limited, and its only open for six weeks. This way, everyone gets to experience it and theyre not stuck on the sidewalk waiting for too long. Parking in NKC is ample on the streets and also theres a lot in the back of the building. Definitely more fun if people come dressed up! Cell phone usage is discouraged - that keeps it nice and dark and spoooky in there. 13 drinks custom-made for the theme. Most are $13 each. Two can be made non-alcoholic. There is a very limited beer selection.

I have been for several of the themes here and I think it has a ton of potential. The decorations are usually fantastic, including a lot of quirky details from the theme that are very appreciated. I feel like conceptually they are doing a great job.I have not had particularly great service- I think it would be a much better experience if the staff were more into the themes, dressed up, etc. I see photos of staff dressed up like characters on their social media but it has not been the case when I have personally visited. I have had to go to the bar to get my own drinks more often than not whether the space was busy or not. I also think the reservation system could use some work. There is a fee to place a reservation and it is not applied to your total or seem to really matter.

Do yourself a favor and book a night of fun here!! We had the best time at Trivia night and we will absolutely be returning! Staff is fun and friendly, drinks are creative and delicious, and I cannot say enough about the effort put into the themed atmosphere. We will 100% be returning!

We went for the pop up Sponge bar. That part was cute. Not worth it!!! I wasted $10 for probably the saddest experience at a “bar”. We got there a few minutes before reservation time. Was seated then about 5 minutes later a large group came in and was seated. It felt more like a whole in the wall restaurant. There were also kids?? I thought it was a bar. The server told everyone they would be right with them. He got the large group first. That’s fine. But we ordered 1 drink and a water. 30 minutes pass and finally got my “$13” drink. Never got any water. The server just stared at me while I was inputting the tip. Talk about feeling obligated. So my $13 drink with no water ended up $16.27. On top of that the drink was DISGUSTING! It was nothing but liquor with some flavor dusted through. I tried to gulp it down since it was an 6 oz drink but it almost made me throw up so I left $8 on the table.

We drove 3 hours to visit the Bobs Burgers pop up and it was worth every minute. The art was absolutely perfect, menu was imaginative, and staff was delightful and charming. Trivia was an absolute blast and I wish we couldve stayed to finish. Linda, the creative director, came and talked to us several times which make the whole experience feel even more personal. My entire family loved the event and it will be a memory we reflect on for years to come.

Vignettes Pop-up Bar in Kansas City, KS, is an absolute delight! My boyfriend and I attended the Spongebob-theme night. From the moment you step inside, youre transported to a whimsical world of enchantment. The attention to detail in the decor is stunning, creating a unique and captivating atmosphere. The bartenders are true artists, crafting delicious and innovative cocktails that are as visually appealing as they are tasty. Our server Gina was amazing! What sets Vignettes apart is its ever-changing theme, ensuring every visit is a fresh and exciting experience.

Made a reservation for Sunday night at 9 for two. Was seated just fine but we waited 30 minutes and still no one came to take our order. Made eye contact with several staff and still no one came to take our food or drink order or even acknowledge us. Really sad because I was so excited for martini bottom date night but just super disappointed with service. Shame it looked really cute. Other tables were sat after us and all were promptly taken care of food and drinks. We ended up leaving after over half an hour of waiting. Don’t recommend.

Was super disappointed in the SpongeBar. Decor was great, they did a phenomenal job. They offered Salad, burger and Bucket of chum. Took one bite of the burger and it was cold, almost still frozen. The salad, you couldn’t even call it that. It was browned on the edges and just lettuce at that. Drinks were decent. Water was good and so was the prepackaged kettle chips. Waiter didn’t even ask how the food was when clearly it was sat at the end of our table basically untouched. Won’t be returning.

Drove 4 hours for the Bobs BARgers Pop Up and it was SO WORTH IT! 🍔 Drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is so chill and friendly 🖤 Delaney, Scott Shelby, Danni and Gina are amazing! Very polite, professional and personable. Now quit reading and go visit Vignettes! 😉

Absolutely a great time, friendly staff, the karaoke was not your average singers. Theres about to be a review after mine from a Karen who was upset she paid a 30$ cover for a group of 6. She had a great time drinking a fish bowl until the bill came 🤷‍♂️.

My boyfriend surprised me with a date here and what a fabulous time we had!We got to experience the Winter of Wizandry that offered a scavenger hunt. It was quite challenging, but Im glad to announce we solved the mystery! Delaney (sorry for spelling!) did a wonderful job and the other team members were no short of excellent. Thank you!

Went for Trivia Night at the Bob’s Burgers pop up. The trivia was great! The drinks were creative, unique, and delicious.(Don’t sleep on the Beefsquatch!)The food is more novelty than substance. Don’t expect to be wowed.The main complaint our party had was when we booked our reservation, we made sure to specifically select the “Trivia Night” selection to make sure we could stay for the whole event. Trivia started at 7pm so we booked our reservation for 6:30 to make sure we were able to settle in and sign up. At the door, the host informed us that Trivia reservations only lasted for 2 hours, and they would have to ask us to leave at 8:30 if they needed our table (trivia lasts until 9). We asked our server about this and they confirmed they would have to ask us to leave if they needed our table by then. We were able to stay until the end because they didn’t need our table, but the worry that we would be asked to leave before the end of trivia overshadowed the entire experience for our party.If Vignettes can work out the trivia logistics issue, that would substantially improve the experience overall.

We went during the Stranger Drinks pop up and it was so much fun! We’re huge Stranger Things fans and this experience did not disappoint! The decor was amazing, the drinks were such fun themes and were delicious! I got the Master of Puppets cocktail and it was amazing. Robert and Dani were super helpful. I will definitely be coming back and checking out their other pop-ups!

We came for the Bobs BARgers pop-up and it was fabulous!! The details are tremendous, every small touch brought a smile to my face! Dani/Tina was an attentive server and the menu items were creatively named. If you like Bobs Burgers, don’t miss this window of opportunity!

Went for the “Just Another Pop-Up to Burn” and oh my gosh it was amazing. The place was decorated so cute and everything was right on theme. The drinks were amazing and the service was super quick. I got the pleasure of being served by Dani and Robert. They were hilarious and just genuinely awesome people. We will 100% be back!

We visited during the recent spookeasy and let me tell you they go ALL OUT. The theming was amazing- they start you off on a short haunted house type experience and then when you got to the actual bar area it was decked out. Decorations everywhere- the tables were even shaped like coffins!! No idea how they put so much detail into these but if you see a theme you think you will like go and visit!! It will deffinetly be an awesome experience!! Cant wait to see what they do next time were in town! Oh ya and the drinks were pretty tasty also!

I went here for Fetch the Halls & it was so cute! The theme was Mean Girls & it was so fun. Dani was our waitress and she was awesome. Literally so sweet & quick with our drinks! This was my first time here & I’m definitely going to be back!

We ABSOLUTELY ADORE Vignettes. We have a blast any night we go there, any theme! The staff is FANTASTIC- friendly, fun, and eager to make everyones experience excellent. The drinks are creative and tasty and we love the trivia, bingo, and other fun extras. We will be there for every theme! Yall are the best.

Vignettes is always wonderful, but Keenan and Gina really made out experience memorable. It was a packed house, but they were attentive and timely. We had a very great time, and will definitely come back again in the near future! Strongly recommend the Amityville Sour or the Xenomorph! Their Old Fashioneds are also to die for!

It was a great experience I have a few more dates coming up. I plan on having even more fun!!!!

Place was cool, staff was great. Drinks are good. Ordered the burger here and it chipped my back tooth on what I was told to be a bone in the meat.... I cannot give this place a good review solely for the fact my back tooth is now broken. Everything was good otherwise.

Went to a stranger things pop up bar for trivia. FREAKING COOL! Tyler and Anna did Halloween trivia and we killed it. The atmosphere is so fun, the themed drinks are what got me.. a chocolate martini called Eleven. I had 3.. that good! Thank you Dani and Robert! I’ll be back for the next theme!

The hype wasn’t worth it. Went to the Spongebar. The burger was hard as a rock. We had a time limit so we didn’t even get to experience the whole thing. We got part of the love music and took pictures with some cut outs. Food was just awful. Wouldn’t do another pop up bar here

Amazing detail! Really felt like we were in the Bob’s Burgers restaurant and all the art was done so well. Tina was a great server and the live music was entertaining.

Tina at bobs bargers was an amazing server, her outfit was on point! The drink choices were awesome and tasted good too. The atomosphere is sooooooo fun, perfect compared with the show and everything with the artwork.

We love going to the pop ups here! We have been coming consistently for over a year. Food is good, drinks are good, decor is amazing and the staff is great. Drinks are a tad expensive, but there is no cover charge and the experience is worth it in my opinion.I feel like the few negative reviews this place has is because people don’t realize this is a bar… when it is busy, you will have to go up to the bar to order, just like any other bar.Definitely worth a stop by, especially if the pop up is a theme you love! I would recommend coming on a Wednesday or Thursday (music bingo is our preferred night!). The experience can’t be beat.

We had a reservation for 6. Arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled time and no one was there to greet us. A few minutes later we get seated 2 feet from the stage at a table for 4, having to grab 2 chairs from other tables. They seat us in the pathway and then ask us not to block the path. They were having karaoke that was so loud the servers had to tell to us from the end of the table. When asked to have bbq on the side we were told no modifications were allowed at all. God forbid you had an allergy. Overall a very negative experience that tampered a mothers day surprise.

Went to the stranger things pop up and had the best time. The drinks were delicious, creative and came out super fast. The bartenders are super nice! Definitely worth the experience if you’re free on a Saturday night. Make sure to make a reservation because it was very busy.

Read on my friends... it gets better, on the inside! When I first walked in the place looked quite packed. Thankfully we had a table already reserved. The wall art and attention to the finer details from the show were really impressive. The unique drink concoctions were really good of the ones I tried (Lance, that frozen MaiTai, and Horse Medicine). I went with a Never been cheddar burger and was very happy with my choice. My wife on the other hand wasnt very impressed with hers as they wont make any substitutions at all and none of the options on the menu worked for her dietary restrictions. The wait staff was really awesome, extremely apologetic, and shared empathy in that situation. The comedian was okay, but definitely kept things lively. Id definitely recommend this place for a unique experience.Now comes the fun stuff. Closer to the end of the comedy set there was a bit of a ruckus going on near the kitchen/bar area. The guy on stage said he was finishing his set and then this bald guy with a long beard was yelling at one of the staff in back. It was loud enough that I saw people get up from their tables and leave. The gal who was the recipient looked like she was about in tears. Then baldilocs turned his tyraid to the comedian and escorted him out of the building for some reason. Turns out, the bald one was apparently a manager of some kind. I did some further digging and found that Tina was yelled at because my wife asked for substitution (remove ketchup, mayo, pickel, not add anything). The comedian was yelled at for something he said about the laughter from next door. In either case, zero reason to yell at anyone about. A simple remind/educate is all that is needed.All in all I had a great time. But seriously, someone needs to nut punch that manager for lack of managerial skills. If youre reading this... heres a tip, dont ever let your patrons see/hear you yelling at your staff, lead by example not by the whip.

Went to my first trivia night with Delaney hosting our trivia and we had an amazing night!!! Delaney was so much fun and entertaining!! Can’t wait for her to host again! Drinks and decorations were also amazing! We loved the clue themed bar and the themed drinks!

Went for Bobs Burgers theme. The decor was fun, but thats about it. Not sure who put the drink menu together but we tried several and they were all pretty bad. The burgers reminded me of a high school cafeteria.

The creativity is off the charts! The cocktails they come up with are interesting and tasty. Great decorations with lots of Easter eggs. I went to the Office themed pop up and the atmosphere was great. Robert was a great host and bartender. Will be coming back!

Dani (Tina) was a little too into horses and boys 4 now but other than that she was the best waitress probably ever. 10/10 would go back every day for the burger of the day.

I absolutely love this place! Gina and Keenan are the best duo you could ever ask for! They are so friendly and fun! The set up of the bar is awesome every time!

I have been to two pop up bars here and the detail they spend on these are amazing. Dani was our server for the Mean Girls theme and she not only killed her costume but was super patient with our drunk orders 😅. Best pop-up bar in KC for sure!

We wanted to like this place and were excited for the Shrek theme. We went last night and the music was awful and too loud. Our server would never bring us water so we had to get it ourselves. The drinks were overpriced and not very good. We were not impressed with the service at all.We already paid to reserve the Stranger Things experience and it’s non-refundable. I would cancel if it wasn’t already paid for. Hopefully it will be better but if not we won’t be back.

Right now it is a Stranger Things themed bar! They do have a few options for food. The drinks are all named after the TV show, and all very unique you cant get anywhere else. The decorations were themed from the TV show, and they did quite a good job decorating and put a lot of thought into it. They had a live band as well so definitely check out their live music.

Double charged me for every round of drinks we ordered. Will not be going here again.

Very fun place however DO NOT make a reservation it costs 5 dollars per person and you don’t get that as a credit. So you’re punished for making a reservation and helping them plan ahead. The drinks are tasty but very pricey. Don’t come hungry not a lot of food choices. Schitts creek theme was cool did a good job on that but can’t get past the expensive reservation I made not knowing I wouldn’t see it as a credit. Will not be going back and letting all of my friends know not to make a reservation when attending.

Loved this season’s theme of fetch the halls! Our server Dani was amazing and pointed out the great and really tasty N/A drinks. Def coming back!!

I visited on Monday with a friend for Cards against Schitts Creek and had an amazing time!! Jacob was a super fun host/judge and Dani was killing it behind the bar - our drinks were amazing! I love Schitts Creek so I was super excited to check out them out and was absolutely blow away. Thanks for a great time!

Had a great time and loved the live music. It was great when they played Nightmare Before Christmas songs and we all sang along.

The T Swift stuff was pretty fun but the service wasnt great. First, we waited outside the building even though they have a lobby area we could have waited in. They saw us standing outside in the cold and made us wait anyway--5 mins before doors open. When we sat down we decided to go order at the bar since no server came and we had to wait until the servers/bartenders were all done socializing to order our drinks. They just honestly seemed like they could not have cared less we were in the building. On our last round, a friends drink was left off but we were still expected to leave at our 90 mins, even though she had JUST received a drink and there were open tables. I was kind of dancing in my chair at one point during a fun T Swift song and a server came up behind me and my arm hit her tray (the tables are SUPER close together) and knocked some drinks over. I *emphatically* apologized and she literally said nothing and just glared and walked away. My whole party was turned off by her reaction. They could just be friendlier to make the space more fun and inviting. People dont like feeling like they are inconvenienceing you to spend their money with you. The drinks were decent and $13 each.

Adorable themed pop-up bar. My server Tina for Bob’s Bargers was great, still rung me a tab after I left my card nextdoor at Reroll, their sister establishment. Tyvm, Tina. I’m Definitely considering making this my go-to for a food & drink bar after the Bet it all on black garlic burger of the day.

Dani “Cool Mom” was amazing waitress! She made our reservation much better than expected! 2nd time being here will definitely come back!

Great customer service and unique atmosphere. There aint nothing like this north of river. Get the monster squad. It is the best drink and worth the wait!

I’ve been here for multiple pop-up themes and every time the decoration looks very low budget and low effort. Not enjoyable decoration. Drinks aren’t bad but I can’t say they were “good”. Overall, there are better pop-ups in Kansas City and even if they’re more expensive at least it’s an enjoyable experience/environment.

The Stranger Things pop up bar was incredible! There was lots of great photo ops! We were there for my daughter’s 13th birthday and they spoiled her rotten! Thanks Dusty Buns and Eddie!

We went to the bar for a fun theme night. We arrived and enjoyed all of the decor and were served drinks in a timely enough fashion. However, after we finished our drinks we were left waiting with no assistance for at least an hour. We couldnt get a drink. We couldnt get a tab. We couldnt get any attention. They had one server for the whole bar and that was really not acceptable. A nice night out with another couple turned really weird and awkward because of the bad service. I wish it was better.

Honestly a huge disappointment. My son is obsessed with stranger things so decided to drive an hour up north to give him an experience. Granted I’ve never been here before, so maybe that’s where I went wrong.Pizza was $8 a slice, that was clearly sitting all day in a little hot box, and not to mention less than gas station quality, like a gas station out in the middle of nowhere and that’s the only thing you can find kind of quality woukd have been better.. lol at least cheaper.Paid $15 for reservations, even though there was nothing “reserved.” And then paid $13 for a small root beer float for my son.Even the bar tender was just a grump. Wouldn’t may eye contact with anyone, let alone talk or say anything. It was weird.All in we paid $100 and drove and hour to see decorations, so definitely a bust.Decorations were cool, but definitely felt completely robbed of even enjoying those with how much everything cost. Cmon…

The Bob’s Burgers theme was SO GOOD. They hit so many little details, and our server dressed as Tina was great!

Vignettes knows how to do theme bars! Good drinks. Recommended the cookie one. Fun scavenger hunt with reward at end!

The staff here is always friendly and the decor is awesome! They really go all out on their theme, with costumes, decorations, and drinks. When there is a wait for a table, ReRoll tavern next door is owned by the same people and is also super fun to hang out in.

Went for the Taylor Swift popup which was awesome experience in itself. Met Dani and Robert who are awesome bartenders, super friendly, and made great drinks! Will be back soon!

My friends and I had an amazing time here! We’ve been to multiple different pop ups including The Witcher, LOTR, and Shrek. Every time, Robert, Delaney, and Scott have been excellent. We love it and plan to return many, many times.

Truly a magical experience that you have to see with your own eyes. Vignettes is like the movie theater and every time its open a new premiere is showing. I went to Apparition Dracula and came back for Lord of the Drinks. Never been disappointed with the drinks or the staff. I highly recommend curving this place out every time a new pop up comes out. Thank you Ed and the rest of the team for giving us this space in KC. You all truly made the bar scene even better than ever.

So glad I finally got a chance to come to Sunday night karaoke! Every week is a different costume theme and the crowd really participates. Robert is a great bartender and whoever was running the karaoke was very organized.

So much fun! Dani a.k.a. Cool mom was a total sweetheart and a top notch server! The strawberry margarita was delicious.

Been to a few pop ups here and Bobs Bargers has been my favorite. Super good decor with a lot of references to the show, friendly staff in costume, and the food was pretty good as well.

I’ve been to four of their concepts over the course of the year and now I won’t miss an event! I love the detail and time that goes into the decor and the drinks and the atmosphere is always on point.

A+ for effort but that’s about it. They have a good idea going it’s cute. BUT- The drinks are disgustingly overpriced there’s very very small selection it’s a very tiny venue. The drink that I bought was $13 and it was about a third of what a normal drink would be at another bar I expected a huge jumbo margarita size drink for $13 but this was I would guess 6 ounces. Maybe 8 being generous.

While the vibes and themes are immaculate, the drinks are very overpriced for what they are. Its understandable due to the fact that theres no price of admission to these well thought out themed settings, but still, its a bit hard to swallow. I would highly recommend visiting when there is a new theme, but their prices make this a difficult place to be regular at.

Disappointed. Nothing at all like it was 2 years ago above the theatre. Now just a long wait for a room in a strip mall with a few spider webs on the ceiling. It used to be really spooky and in theme at the old location. I went to the location in north Kansas City off of Armour.

It looked so fun from the outside! We were told the wait would be an hour. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour and a half and there were still three tables in front of us and we ended up leaving. It would be helpful to set a time people can stay at the table so more can be served.

Apparition is a good idea poorly executed. The staff was very friendly, but there were too few bartenders. There was a 90 minute wait to get in. Most of the cocktails are tasty and interesting.

This place is a spooky dream and finally a place to match your October wardrobe ;)! There may be a line out the door do to the size of the interior, but thats made up for with the dressed-up social butterflies you befriend inline, the entrance (no spoilers), an otherworldly atmosphere that envelopes you whole, and the extremely creative cocktails (Should definitely ask a roaming host about it, they are a treasure trove of detail and horror movie info). I definitely think the antici.......pation added to the overall effect of Apparition. This bar is in my top 5! Blows the Tim Burton themed bar in LA out of the water!

Had a blast drove from Omaha NE, did it two weekends in a roll. Band was great, drinks were great but a bit pricey.
