Action Sports Bar & Grill

If youre wondering why this place feels weird, its the office-like drop ceiling. There are just a couple other problems with this place. The mechanical pool tables (of which I count 9) are a little bit janky with bad rails and awkward pockets, and they have pull tabs (which is my subjective opinion that pull tabs suck and wreck the atmosphere). Theres also one of those digital jukeboxes you see everywhere these days. You know how those go.Apart from that, this place is fantastic! They had one or two Beers I hadnt tried. The menu is impressive with real food at a good value. My burger was well made with good ingredients. My beer was well poured by servers who were energetic, fun, and who had great attitudes.Last note:This place is in Kent, and the culture here hasnt caught on to the modern ways of the bars and breweries that I prefer. Tipping is still standard, and the bathroom is still divided and awkward.I didnt ask the staff about their compensation or how they felt about how they are treated, but I will during my next visit.

We were excited to discover a family owned, local bar to watch the Final Four. Upon entering the bar, we liked the atmosphere and dart and pool table set up. There was a male and female working. After waiting and sitting at a high top for 15 minutes, my bf went to the bar and inquired about table service and drinks. He returned with 2 menus and the message from the female stating when she gets a minute she will come and take our order. After another 15 minutes, I went to the bar and spoke with the female bartender. She said as soon she was not busy she would come over. I referenced her comment to my bf and she stated “like I said”. I asked about how long we should expect to wait and she said she did not know and as the line went down she would come over. There were less than 15 people in the bar. No one entered after us and there were 2 people working. Even if there was something going on that we were not aware of, her lackluster attitude and unprofessional behavior was unacceptable. We left this bar immediately and felt disappointed. We called our other 10 friends and we met at another neighborhood bar and had a great time.

Brought my niece out of town for her birthday & we had a blast!! I enjoy singing to the jukebox and playing pool.

BEST BAR IN KENT! Coolest bartenders, the best food, and an owner who works his butt off to give back to the Kent community. NOT a bar around that compares to Action. Love my bar and my people!

Amazing all around, this gem must be sought out. Finest pool tables and darts with a nice touch. Food and service was great. Have to pay for pool and rent a cue stick. Worth it! First time in customer. Only suggestion, not having smokers right at the door. Marijuana smell.

Wow...great food & great service from Rob the Bar Manager! I had The Chicken Sink chicken burger(so yum) Mom had the spicy chicken sandwich and we ordered the BBQ PORK for an appetizer, best Bbq Pork Ive had in a long long time! Good pour on the drinks as well!

Their food truck was out in front of my office in Georgetown today. Once I saw the menu, no hesitation! I tried the smoked brisket mac and cheese, the smoked wings and a peach lemonade All were amazing! Will definitely be visiting their location to try more on their menu!

Just got home from ordering wings from there. It literally still had feathers on it. Completely inedible. Gross!!!

I love this place! The owners are great, and are in house frequently. They have a really great food truck, that is wrapped, and has external speakers. Definitely a Seahawks themed place. Overall, great sports bar with amazing BBQ. Lots of pool tables and darts. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a great place to hang out in the Kent area.

So my wife an I had our first night alone in like 5 years and we decided to go play some pool and hang out together. The jukebox was playing mariachi and mumble rap so we decided to throw some rock music on. Everything was going great and then our songs started getting skipped. When we talked to the bartender they said oh we thought whoever played this had leftFair enough no harm no foul, they even offered to knock a couple bucks off our tab cause those songs arent cheap. A couple more songs in and they start skipping our songs again. We go up and the bartender says everyones complaining about our music, handed us ten dollars cash and said sorry and then just skipped all the rest of our songs. Way to make someone not feel welcome at all. Wont be coming back, not our vibe.For clarity, some of the songs were definitely metal, but we didnt complain to anyone about having to listen to mumble rap.

Rushaad is the absolute best! He truly cares about the food and drinks which are brought out to you! The atmosphere makes me stay later than I give myself with the pool tables and dart boards.

My friends are regulars here and I’m the baby of the group so I never went until the day of my 21st birthday. Was definitely one of the best birthdays I’ve had. The staff was awesome and super friendly. The drinks were amazing and the food was amazing too. Even had a spill misshap and the staff was awesome about it and ensured it was okay even though I was completely embarrassed. Definitely going to be a regular here as well now!

My favorite place to go on a Saturday night to relax with friends! The food is also so good and very affordable for the quality! Their ranch is the good ranch and I want to have all my cheat meals here!! 😋🥰 Rob is amazing too!!! Super good at his job and just making the night so fun! Not only does she make amazing drinks but she always has recommendations if I feel like trying something new and I always love it! Theyhave lots of seating so its great for large groups. Have been going here for years. Have not dined there but do go in for drinks and Pool. Always good service from the cooks to the exceptional bar tenders/ waitresses.

Breakfast all day? Their Moco Loco hit the spot perfectly while watching an afternoon playoff game, the service is even better than our previous visits, and we had multiple screens (everyone at the table had good views with twisting and straining) with good sound even over the billiards tournament.

This place has really come a long way since the new owner bought it. Good atmosphere, great drinks. They have lots of pool tables & pull tabs. I believe I also saw dart boards, but I cant be certain. Its a nice local spot.

Amazing homemade chips and their dinner specials are usually really good. It has a great atmosphere and very engaging and pleasant service, definitely recommend. They dont have sweet Thai chili sauce though :(

Good sports bar. Service was iffy, small group of people in bar. Waitress forgot about my order then got it wrong. Thank goodness the other server quickly remedied the problem. Overall I enjoyed the night. I had a party melt and a salad. Unfortunately it made me sick. Not quite sure why.

Loved the atmosphere of the place, neighborhood bar with pool tables, darts, lots of TVs. Service was real good food seems to range from bar fare to home style platters. My French dip was just ok.

Always been my go to bar. Food is great and service is always over the top. A good ambiance with a mix of different people. All the staff treats you like family and Jade is always efficient and goes out of her way to make sure you’re comfortable and have a great time

I play on a pool league and come here often. Food is good, atmosphere is good, but the servers suck. If you want to order anything, you must go to the counter. I can understand if there was only one girl working, but theres always at least 2. I tend to see one of them just standing there. I constantly have to ask one of my team members to go get me another beer or shot or order me some food. I spend quite a bit of money here since Im here for 4 hours for pool league. I used to tip the girls at least 25%, when Lindsey or Jenna were here because they always came out and checked if we needed anything. Now, I dont tip as big.

There was no security at the door, waited a few minutes outside in the cold and still no one so we just walked in assuming we would be IDd at the bar. The security guy was chilling by the bar, he walked in front of me to ask for my ID and when i let him know I was waiting at the door but just ended up walking in he got really defensive.Took about 10-15 minutes for someone to stop by the table which is normal from my experience, service was very average.The food however was really good, I liked it a lot.Towards the end the security guy started talking to our server about us within earshot which was really disappointing. From my experience in the service industry you thats not okay at all but he didnt seem to care.Good food, average service, bad experience.

This is the “Cheers” in Kent! Where everybody knows your name. You feel completely welcome, enjoy strong drinks and eat delicious food. Not to mention you have tons of fun! If you want to chill or turn up- this is the spot to be! I recommend tuesdays because the tacos are right!

Service was great, didnt have luck on pull tabs, but I likely chose the wrong game or shouldnt have played at all. Prices are reasonable nable and both bartenders were very quick to make my dream no order.

Solid neighborhood, Cheers type bar. Decent selection of draft beers, great staff, lots of pool tables and TVs for sports. The club sandwich is solid, and they serve crinkle cut fries. I have heard rumors of Shaun Kemp sitings here.

I was impressed with this place. Tucked away in a corner area that you would not expect to find. This place was clean and the floors didnt have that layer of old that one might expect from a lonely bar, but this place surprises. Even serves breakfast! The staff was also very friendly!

This place is clean, smells good,bathrooms clean and the food is bomb. My only request is for the powers that be plase open up those pool tables. They are like new and play perfect.

Servers not very friendly to people who are not regulars, been there twice in last week for darts, and never would get service unless I went to the bar. Was told by one of the servers help some regulars at a table next to mine we dont do floor service.

Nice place for the 30 and up. 6 pool tables. 3 dart boards. Bartenders are on point and pour heavy. We got several appetizers, and were overcooked. But, it was packed Saturday night.

There are many options here. We had breakfast and it was FANTASTIC! Several dart boards and 9 pool tables. Tables can be rented per game or by the hour. Pull tabs and great customer service.

This is a great bar for if you want to go have a night with friends they have 10 pool tables here so theres usually some pros there that bring their own cues this is where I go to play some games its not really a betting atmosphere but its in a corner of a parking lot so youll find its a little more shadier than other places
