Great place great people great drag shows and the chicken Alfredo pizza was delicious my only critique is not enough seating and the area were the drag show is was just way to small of an area for the number of people there to see the show which also made it like an oven in there it was so crowded and so so HOT 🔥🥵 and there was nowhere or no way to cool off which was extremely draining and was very upsetting to think I had paid $50 for this show because I love Eureka ,but ended up first having to walk outside during her first show missing some of it then ended up having to leave before 1:00 I missed quite a bit of the shows which is very disappointing ,but I had no choice due to getting so HOT after eating and everything else I ended up getting sick to my stomach and had to leave come home take medicine for nausea and headache from my body getting over heated again other than the lack of seating and the room everyone has to crowd in to see the show and the heat it was great and if I hadnt gotten sick due to that and I could have stayed for the whole show it would have been worth what I paid ,bit again great place and great people ... Just a suggestion expansion of the area for the show would be great along with more seating.. I forgot to mention while sitting eating our pizza a big cockroach 🪳 crawled up my friends leg so you might want to get an exterminator ..
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, finding spaces that prioritize inclusivity and acceptance is crucial. However, our experience at CORE left us feeling disheartened and my partner and my friend marginalized due to their lack of gender neutral bathrooms. For many individuals, gender neutral bathrooms are a necessity, by not having them transgender people are made to feel left out of their own community - the one place where they should be safe and accepted the most. We will not be back until this lack of inclusivity is resolved. Please do better CORE.
I recently visited Core, and and as a queer individual who identifies as non-binary, I was excited to explore a space that celebrates diversity and inclusivity within the community. Unfortunately, my experience was woeful as I couldnt help but feel a sense of disappointment regarding the restroom facilities.I was very disheartened to find that the restroom options were limited to binary gendered spaces. As someone who identifies outside of the gender binary, this setup felt exclusionary and failed to reflect the diverse spectrum of gender identities within the LGBTQ+ community. While I understand that the bar may be limited by the constraints of its building, its crucial for establishments within the LGBTQ+ community to prioritize inclusivity in all aspects, including restroom accessibility and to ensure that ALL patrons and employees feel respected and comfortable. While its heartening to hear that your trans employees and regulars havent found it to be an issue, its also important to consider the experiences of all individuals, including those who may not feel comfortable in binary gendered spaces. There are often creative solutions that can be explored, and since your establishment is indifferent who uses either restroom, one solution could be the installation of gender-neutral signage. Taking proactive steps to address these concerns not only fosters a more inclusive environment but also sends a clear message that all individuals are valued and respected within your establishment. I appreciate your consideration of this matter and look forward to seeing how you continue to prioritize inclusivity in the future.
Wonderful staff. The bartenders are all so kind and knowledgeable!!!! It’s a great atmosphere, and I love the vibes ♥️♥️♥️
Love love love Core! Absolutely best club in town! Drag show survivor was amazing & so much incredible talent I highly recommend it wonderful fun experience thank you all the dancers are unbelievable everyone makes you feel at home awesome energy full bar good food we had the best night out thank you for such a fun evening see you guys soon
You couldnt ask for better ownership and management. And the staff is always amazing and kind and makes me feel like family. And the different nights doing karaoke and trivia - it just makes for such a fun time and different experience every time. And the food Ashlee and others cook up in the kitchen is better than most food youll get in any restaurant in town. Cant say enough about how much I love CORE and the entire team, and what they do for the Knoxville community every single year - Friendsgiving, toy drives, and more!
Went here 24 Jun 2023, had a great time, the drag show was fun. Drinks were on the strong side, made for a cheap buzz. Being transgender myself, I can genuinely say that I have never felt more welcomed, and even embraced anywhere, and thank you for the welcoming experience. We dont live in Knoxville, but we will be making a point to visit anytime were in the area, moving forward.
Core is a great place to hang out with friends and if you don’t have any you will definitely find a welcoming atmosphere. The Owners and the staff are all great. Aways very helpful and making sure your having a great time.
By far the ugliest people i have ever seen in my life. It’s like the place where the ugliest people in knoxville go to drink and be miserable.
Had a great cocktail afternoon with Z. He was charming and our end of the bar had great fun with new friends. Had a great time! And was non-smoking!
Bartenders were great.the drag show was awesome. Food was pretty good for bar food. However I expected a little more in a bigger city and its more of a local bar not really for someone passing through
Core is an amazing place just to let your hair down and be yourself! The bartender, Dani is totally awesome! I will definitely be going back.
This is the only place in Knoxville where I feel welcome every time I am here. Diverse music, friendly staff who are attentive, excellent food and drinks. The Queens are always entertaining and love interacting with the patrons. They even have week night events such as SINGO! Which is always a blast. Thank you CORE for being my favorite place to be!
Had to wait on food for over thirty minutes. Plus soft drinks were in the smallest cup they could fine. The drag show was not good at all left during the show and went back home. I will never go back there.
XYZ is so much better than this place. The bartenders act like it’s an inconvenience for them to serve you and come across as if you’re annoying them when you order drinks. Plus, this place doesn’t seem so inclusive and is just rude. I used to like this place when I first came here and thought I was accepted and felt I belonged here but from now on I think I’ll just stick to XYZ instead.
Such a great environment! Very welcoming and always a great time. The people here are ready to treat you like family. Also, secret menu item - pork rinds!
Went here on my bachelorette night and had a blast. Ive never felt safer in a club environment. Drinks were STRONG and the show was great!
One of the best gay bars u have been to. East going low brow guys in abundance here . I will definitely return. . They showed me with at East Tennessee boys are all about . Great place to cruise and pick up guys
The whole experience was worthwhile tbh. The drag show was clever and had some unreal bass. I couldnt rate it anything less than 5*.
Went there last night 4-8-22... had a BLAST! The bartenders and people were completely awesome and welcoming! 100% will return soon!!
No AC in the summer!? It was miserable.
Had a great time with friends. Excellent show and entertainers. Strong drinks that were reasonably priced.
Great drag show. Good drinks. Will definitely be back!
