Overall its shelter. Couldnt connect to wifi. Bugs in my room. Water for the shower never got hot. My TV was messed up and the mini fridge was either too warm or too cold. Holes in the sheets and blood stains on my sheets. Like I said its shelter. Plus they didnt have a breakfast. Never going to stay at another Oyo ever.
The price may seem affordable, but it wont be, when you have to inevitably go to a different hotel and they lie to avoid giving you a refund.My husband, mother, and infant went to stay here for a single night while we were in Knoxville visiting family. We are really low maintenance so we tend to just book the cheapest hotel since it will only be a place to rest our head. However, this entire hotel should be shut down, and we are now all convinced it is a scam.We checked in and were hesitant since the place looked rundown or abandoned. After getting our room key we pulled around back to park. As we entered the building, the strong smell of cigarettes hit us in the face, but we continued on. As we passed by the pool it was boarded up with trash and dirty mattresses piled along the walls. The windows overlooked the parking lot where a bunch of men were staring at us and watched us walk to our room.The room was disgusting. It smelled like cigarettes and chlorine. The mirror was shattered. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall with the wires out. The door didnt lock, and there was a hole in the door where the lock shouldve been. Because of the hole, you could see from the hallway directly into the room.We took one step in and then immediately went to the front desk to checkout and ask for a refund. They informed us that since we booked through Expedia that we had to contact them for a refund. When we contacted Expedia, they called the hotel front desk where the front desk proceeded to lie and say we hadnt complained, and that the hotel and room were in great condition. Therefore we couldnt get our money back because nothing was wrong.The whole thing was a huge waste of time, energy, and money. Not worth the 50 bucks youd save going to. AVOID.
Ive stayed in a lot of hotels. This was by far the worst experience yet. I was led down a creepy hallway and to my room which was a room within a room. There was a hallway outside my room.The walls were paper thin. I could hear the couple arguing next stoor--but they were speaking at a normal volume. I could hear every word they said.The toilet was running so loud I knew it would keep me awake. Additionally, the ceiling of the bathroom had dark mold on it.I asked clerk for another room. He said he did not have one to give me. I asked for a refund. He would not do that either stating the room was used because I had taken a quick shower.I decided to sleep in my car rather than stay in that awful room. I called today, a few days later. Hotel will still not give me my money back.Shame on this disgusting hotel!!Stay at MainStay Suites instead. Its right around the corner, around the same price and I couldnt hear any noise.Oyo,I am appalled at your greed. You just want to swindle guests.
While this hotel is close to the interstate, the hotel was so unfit for guests that I actually checked out a day early and stayed my second night in a different hotel (to my own financial loss). When I checked out early, the clerk didnt seem surprised and didnt ask about my stay.The property is truly strange with what appear to be once-outside facing rooms (a la a motel) having been enclosed, but not genuinely turned into a hotel. This has created many oddities, such as the AC units for each room extending into a makeshift enclosed hallway, not the actual outdoors, so youre just recycling the same air as everyone else on your floor endlessly. All of the rooms also have curtained windows that face this makeshift corridor. Its literally impossible for the rooms to have fresh air of any variety.None of the exterior doors closed all the way (or locked), which was a major safety hazard.I only ended up at this hotel because one of those mystery hotel HotWire deals. Definitely do not recommend.
The customer service was terrible and rude. I was lied to by both the third-party and the actual hotel and charged way more money than originally quoted for early check-in. The room had black mold and holes all over it. Also, no ventilation for the AC. It just comes from a dirty smelly hallway and when I tried to get my money back after early check out or at least half because I couldn’t stay the night there because it absolutely smelled disgusting and there were black mold that because I’m highly allergic. Broke out into severe hives all over my body. When I continue to ask for a manager for a refund, they kept telling me he wasn’t there and I called several times a day different times different days when they told me he was gonna be in and he was never in supposedly. Horrible experience!
About an hour after I left the horribly smelling disgusting hotel room The manager or owner or whoever the dude was called me and accused me of stealing the shower head out of the room now I asked him why I would want to steal the shower head out of the room and I had even reported that previous evening that there was no shower head in the room and that I wished to change rooms The attending clerk told me that there was no other rooms available I decided to stay I tried to explain this to the individual that called me and instead of listening to me or even checking with his clerk he decided to tell me that I was only no return that I would no longer be welcome at the Oyo hotel and he was extremely rude and unprofessional and I have no desire to continue to give them good reviews that are non-deserving so this is my bad review. Every single time I have ever stayed there the room has smelled musty and quite frankly foul. The rooms are obviously not taking care of as parts of the ceiling is falling off bits and pieces within the room or rusted The lamp that was on the bedside table was completely rusted around the base to the point of not turning it on in fear of needing a tetanus shot. The phone was not only non-operational the cords were actually missing I cant believe that he did not accuse me of stealing the phone cords as well. The curtains did not close and the air conditioner was held to the wall with duct tape. Now they want to accuse me of stealing I will just go ahead and tell the truth about their facilities.
I showed up after a long drive thinking this older hotel would be a great place to save some money on a long trip.When we got into the room there were burns on the mattress covers and a strip of rug loose so that staples could be stepped on or played with by my 10 month old child.When I went to talk to front desk, they were gone. So I booked a different hotel. And left to settle my wife in.The call center hangs up on you when you make a complaint and the service person refuses to help you because the front desk person assures her there is nothing wrong. Because the cleaning staff said everything was fine.Stay away from this place. My only saving grace is that its so cheap I dont really care if I lose the claim I submitted with my credit card.Additionally, the hotel had a smell, looked dated, had switches that did nothing in the room, mold in the bathroom, and overall just felt like a real grimy place.Again, stay away.
I hate to leave a bad review anywhere but this place deserves it more than any place Ive ever stayed. The service was HORRIBLE! There was no room service while we were gone to work. When I returned & had to ask for clean linen (as well as take our trash down) I was told that I didnt get any because I had booked multiple days. It was literally a fight to get clean linen. The lady had to call someone & get approval before she finally gave me any.Neither the pool or kiddie land was working. It was all completely dry. Its all indoor hallways with old mattresses & trash sitting in those hallways. There is no breakfast. Nothing about the description on their website is true! The bathroom was dirty. Just NO! Please save yourself & go somewhere else! The only nice thing about the place is the lobby! CROOKSMade reservation with OYO by phone while traveling cross country. The otherwise nominal hotels in Knoxville were all booked because of large simultaneous events taking place.Checked in 10PM, and found widespread building repair in progress. The hotel wing entrance for our room had NO LATCH INSTALLED on the outside door; it was free to swing open and gave no security at that entry door. There was mud in the hall, and inside the room had strong odors of urine and cigarettes. My wife immediately said that she could not stay there. I returned the key to the front desk and was then told that the OYO booking team would provide me a receipt.OYO booking refused to provide a receipt, or cancel the charge. They said that the property manager reported we occupied the room over night. I called OYO booking back to clarify, and open a complaint for resolution and was told they were being harassed and would report me to the police if I called again.The original charge was made on a bank debit card (by mistake} instead of a credit card. My (former) bank would not reverse the charge because OYO booking maintained that we spent the night, even when they were shown a receipt for the hotel room we later found. BTW- Regions.
Ok so where do I even start…1. The room smells musty like mold and low behold there is mold and mildew on the ceilings the smell is so bad it makes you sick to your stomach and head hurt like hell…2. Rusty lamps in the room.3. Plugins that look like have literally been on fire before.4. Doors do not even lock good thing no one has come looking to kill us…5. Beds was probably the only Clem thing about this room.6. The walk to our room was sketchy and rundown doors was so rusty you could get sent to the hospital for a tetanus shot good thing there’s a hospital next door…7. The air conditioner reclining dirty and musty air right back into the room.8. The man at the front desk was nice but very inpatient and pushing us to get to our room.There is much more I can say but I quite frankly don’t have the time nor the patience to keep writing just writing this review I feel like having a stroke and passing out (mainly form the smell) but this is not a place for you nor any kids someone should really call the building and codes enforcement…
Ive been to this hotel through about 3 different owners and these are by far the worst. the rooms are gross and it doesnt even feel safe all kinda of sketchy people there (which i kind of understand) the owner started screaming and yelling at us for having three people in the room when we checked in with two. my sister had came to visit for 30 mins and was on the way out when the owner busted in kicking us out for “drugs” i have never done anything my whole life but i passed about 4 people on the way out the door who definitely looked like they did. complete disrespect they obviously only want you there if you are on drugs or trying to live there i guess.
This was a horrible room. Very dirty, pillows were stained and so were sheets. Clearly not cleaned before we came. Water pressure horrible, dirty floors toilets tub and sinks. Shower head dirty. Everything dirty. The front desk guy was nice. It was located right off the highway. Very close to food. Otherwise it was horrible. Do not stay here.
If you find a positive review about OYO hotel in Knoxville TN, its a lie. I have never ever seen an establishment as run down and moldy as this place that is still in operation! Whoever is in charge of inspection of this hotel needs to shut it down! The smell, the filth, the air, the lighting and the water! The water coming out of the tap! I thought I was in a bad horror film! Room 144 on the end. I didnt even stop to take pictures it was so horrific. The front desk lady said she would bring some spray. Spray will not change a thing. The indoor defunct water park has obviously seeped throughout the hotel. Id rather sleep on a curb than in a bed there. Do not stay here!!!!
The Knoxville Tennessee location is one of the worst hotels that I have ever been in no hot water. The ice machines do not work. Its rented out under false advertisement with no pool that works. The rooms are hard to use the key to get into. Because theyre so old it stinks. I would definitely recommend to not. I repeat, not go to this place.also no continental breakfast
Stayed here last night, when I walked in the room I smelled something funny, turns out it was mold from the a/c unit above the door. The unit dripped and poured water the whole time and the room smelled awful. I am allergic to all molds so this was very frustrating. Also, the only thing we heard from the time we got there to the time we went to bed was doors slamming, people arguing and a woman being locked out of her room by the man she was with. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again. The two girls at the front desk were very sweet though.
The service was nice and attentive, but the too. Was disgusting. 1) it was so confusing to get our room 2) when we finally found our room the main light where the bed was did not work only the light by the sink 2) when I went to shower the faucet wasn’t properly installed it came off completely 3)The towels we really uncomfortable 4) the pillows and sheets were not comfortable either
This is a horrible motel theres lots of crime and gang members selling drugs outside. The rooms are disgusting I mustve counted 100 cockroaches in my room, the bed wasnt even made. The staff (especially the manager) was very very rude and made racist comments towards me and my wife! I highly recommend never staying at this place
I was on the last leg of a 5 day road trip moving to another state and in a pinch for a place to stay last minute. The manager was very kind, helpful and accomodating for myself and my little rescue pup. The room was really clean with a very comfortable bed and the experience helped alleviate a lot of the stress I was feeling at the time. Thank you OYO!

The front desk was very helpful. He was friendly and more then happy to bring down more towels when they were needed. The maintenance man on nights was super helpful with the hot water and come to find out the water heater had shut off and he promptly went to turn it back on. The only thing I dont really agree with is that you are charged $20 per night for your dog. However everything else was nice.

False Advertisement on pricing. They do not honor the price that is listed online. They will tell you they have no idea who makes that price or who applies the discount. When you confront them on the issue they call their manager and drop the price by ten dollars. When thats not good enough they drop it by ten more dollars. The price on google is just to get you through the front door so that they can name whatever price they want. The place is run by grimy low value people.
DON’T LET THE LOCATION FOOL YOU!! If you can, stay elsewhere!!!I went to visit a friend who had rented a hotel room here. Wow. I just can’t say I suggest this hotel at ALL unless it’s the last place and your only choice.It used to be a chain hotel of some sort maybe a Best Western? (I have no idea) and have some cool water park indoor! …but now it may be better described as a backdrop to a scary movie/music video. Perhaps one day it could be a cool sort of indoor skate space for teenagers???It’s basically the biggest eyesore in the middle of the hotel! A huge, abandoned, NOT kept, dried-up, indoor creepy water park which just gives the whole hotel a horrible “vibe”.Once inside the rooms I guess it’s okay. Rather basic hotel-room and no major complaints there…I would definitely NOT suggest anyone with children stay at this OYO hotel for the simple fact that the old abandoned indoor water park seems like it would be a wonderful place for your children to GET HURT, NOT have fun!!The hotel itself smells a little bit like musty and old, and in general is a long, long by-gone sad structure that’s barely limping along with the business it does get.None of the rooms open out onto a balcony or are on the outside. And one does need a hotel key to access the interior. So that’s a bit safer than perhaps other, similar hotels in the area?? DO NOT GET A ROOM HERE!!Got there, wasn’t even there for 45 mins and seen that there was a couple bugs on the bed, Mirror broke but “fixed “ with tape and bedding was dirty. My husband and I went back down to the office and then the guy and the desk and he said no refunds and that all he could do was change our room!!! Why would we want to stay there when we seen BUGS IN THE BED?!!
After reading the reviews, I was very nervous about staying at this hotel. Honestly, I was quite surprised to see a normal hotel room when I walked in. The room was nice, smelled good, and very clean. No bugs, nor stains on the sheets. The place was very quiet, and I felt safe staying here with just myself and my dog. The staff was very sweet and very accommodating for my dog. The bed was honestly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in a hotel. Is this a 5 star hotel that’s seen better days, no, but for the price it was a perfect spot to settle in for the night and get some much needed rest. I would definitely come back over and over again every time I needed a safe spot to sleep.
I cant speak for other rooms, but 104 is good. For the price, I was really surprised. The decor was great. Nice colors and it was welcoming. Bed looked nice and the shower was clean. I travel for work and always review every hotel I stay in.The only changes I would immediately make are: replace the decorative bed topper (it has obvious burn holes in it), add some type of mechanism that makes the air smell more fresh (it smells like old pool water) and replace the lamp in the room (the lamp shade and plug port are bad). Those arent major things at all and can be resolved before he next person comes in this room!Definitely would stay here again. Just make sure your cleaning staff understand the expectations! If bedding is damaged, replace it. If anything else is defective, management needs to know immediately.
The room had no heat, the lamps were rusted and I was afraid to plug anything in them as it is a fire hazard. Our smoke detector had no batteries, it smelled of funk, a broken mirror, and the sheets were not clean. I could not get my money back so we were forced to stay the night. The pictures online were extremely deceiving. Not worth the money and not safe. NEVER STAY HERE! They also had a certified Bed Bug Safe certificate dated August 2023….which means they had bed bugs at one point. Horrific experience. Never ever again. I would post pictures if I could. This place should be shut down.
I paid $60 for a room and upon arrival they insisted on $100 cash deposit, which i didnt have nor was i forwarned of it. So I paid for this room around 8:30 pm is now 10:16 pm and Im trying to just get them to refund what is rightfully mine since I never stayed at the establishment! They are trying to tell me that they cant give my money back cause I didnt cancel my reservation 24 hours ahead of time, I DIDNT HAVE THE RESERVATION AT SUCH A TIME AND THERES NO WAY THIS IS LEGAL!! I AM ON THE PHONE NOW, IF NO RESOLUTION IS MET I WILL BE CONTACTING MY LAWYER THEN ILL HAVE AN UPDATE!
One star is alot to give this place. We stayed here because we were in town for Christmas. This place was nasty. Roaches (and yes I have a picture), black mold that had been painted over (again, yes I have pictures) blood stains on the comforter. I will never again stay in this place. My husband had a accident that caused him to bleed, so instead of leaving a bloody towel that we know they will just wash and use again (my husbands blood is clean, just a diabetic) I was gonna just throw it in the trash. Well, they wasnt going to give my husband back our $100 deposit. My husband stated that we was throwing it away and he said thatll be $100 so charging $100 for a towel that we was throwing away due to the blood to be sanitary guests they wanted to charge us for it. So yes, dont stay here because they took that towel. This is the nastiest motel ever. Druggie sitting in their cars doing their dope, rats all around the back.
Quite literally the worst hotel I’ve ever walked into. I booked because it was pet friendly. The rooms don’t look at all like the pictures. Pool and hot tub clearly haven’t been working and running for ages.We were put in a room that tracked of cigarettes and have burns in the comforter. The man at the desk was very rude and argued that no one was smoking in the rooms. We asked for another room and it was the same thing! There were small flies everywhere.The smoke detector even had burn marks on it as if someone was trying to dismantle it! We left immediately with no refund. But absolutely could not stay there.
At first, I really enjoyed staying here. However, the pet policy sucks. $20/pet/ night every night. $280 for 1 week just in pet fees. I was told by mgr NOT to book online bc he could give me better rate. Yeah, okay. Then they tried to keep my deposit over a cola stain on the comforter. Toilet pump was broken whole time I was there. No bugs though and beds and our housekeepers were very sweet. Completely non smoking building. Mgr pulled gun on some guy hopped up on meth. Great security. Clean place but very over priced in the end. Moved to motel 6 over by Applebees. It’s by the freeway but rooms are clean and so far no problems. And they a LOT less expensive. No pet fees either. $417/ week, not $820. Haven’t seen any bugs here. Only complaint is the beds aren’t quite as comfortable and they only have stand-up showers no tubs. Save your money. I also got hung up on three times by booking agent on the phone by OYO trying to get money back after they double charged me. Charged me $82 but only refunded me $59 in the end. That place is nuts. Don’t fall for their “deals” either. You get ripped off in the end. And the number on google doesn’t go to the hotel itself, it goes to the booking agency. They don’t give you all the info at the booking agency.
It wasnt that bad. But it seems like they are patching it together till they end up getting shut down or sold off. The towels are old and sometimes clean, the carpet is not great(I didnt go barefoot). I wouldnt bring my kids. And the pool is closed indefinitely.The employees were awesome! Everone was very nice and respectful.Lets face it. For what you pay, you get a box with a lock, a bed, a bathroom, and some AC.
This hotel was a disaster. This hotel had wall trims coming off from top to bottom. The bathroom toilet hardly flushed. The shower barely had any water coming out of it. The bathroom fan made very weird creepy noises. The room was very warm, and was very moist overall. The hotel room hallways are very unorganized, it’s a maze to look for your own room. Some room hallways have very narrow entrances. This hotel is worth mostly $15 per night at most.
It is was a way to leave no stars I would. This place robbed me. Upon arrival I seen a dog taking a dump in the hallways. A man walking around with no shirt and sweats and no underwear. Carrying what seemed to be a pipe in his hand. I ran straight to the front desk and told them I was not staying, I have children who are traumatized by what they seen. the front desk guy/owner keeps hanging up in my face when I ask him about my refund he promised to give me. The worst service I’ve ever seen in my life. I wouldn’t stay here if it was a safe house and I was on the walking dead.
Do not stay here unless you are looking for a place to do nefarious things. We got here and our first room didnt even have lights and smelled like mildew rot and cigaretter smoke even though its supposed to be non smoking.. Our second room was nicer but the heat has worked maybe half the time we have been here. We have called the front dest 3 times and were told he was coming but he never showed. So we finally went down there and he said he came but no one answered. Lies. Now it is five am and i have woke up shivering because the stupid heater quit working AGAIN. And i called the front desk but now there is no answer at all. This is utter GARBAGE!!!
UPDATE: I checked out early (booked 3 nights, stayed 1) because of the issues this hotel has with the unsanitary and unsafe conditions. Now I am currently in battle with them to get my money back after being told by the manager that it would be no problem. If you have read a review that rates this dump more than one star its a fake. Guarantee its the hotel owners posting a fake review.Just a matter of time before this rathole gets shutdown and demolished. It’s unsafe and unsanitary. It would be safer and cleaner to spend the night in tent city downtown. The owners are crooks and will tell you anything to get your dollar.
This is one of those hotels where you think, did I just put my life in danger to save a few bucks? Based on the price I knew it wouldn’t be the best hotel, but I didn’t know it would feel like I was in the movie Dallas Buyers Club. That being said, I didn’t see any bedbugs.When you walk up the stairs the hallway you enter feels like a furnace and there’s a sinister and unfamiliar smell. But luckily, the air conditioner worked well in our room. The floor and ceiling of our room felt like it may cave in at any moment.The front desk workers were generally nice and the location is convenient, but the pictures this hotel uses to advertise are unbelievably misleading. I wouldn’t be as bothered by the conditions had the advertising been more honest. I am, however, looking forward to reading the Chat GPT-type response to my review.
Poor sanitary conditions, stains on both bed quilts, sheets were stained as well. Towels had holes in them, microwave was rusted inside. Security door to the outside was missing lock so that anyone could enter the building. Pool was drained and play area were shut down. Dirty and unsanitary…unable to stay there, DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL-UNSAFE
Got two nights here. the air conditioner does not work. i had 3 seizures in my sleep. they would not change my room at all. or give me a refund. so i spent almost 200$ for a room with no air, the water does not get warm, the bathtub was nasty, the tv does not work what did ever glitches in and out, the pool and hot tub is drained, the people at the front desk are so rude. we only had two pillows on a king bed, we had 4 towels in our room. they told us we couldn’t get anymore. worst experience ever. and they had bed bugs. seen someone smoking a crack pipe. and the smell came through the room absolutely disgusting. and also the dresser is broke in the room. the drawer on the night stand is messed up, the lights do not work. there was a rig found in our carpet. it is the worst hotel ever.
Great location, but they just should have called the hotel Oyyyy, instead of Oyo. What a dump. There is a big sign saying We are certified bug free dating August of 2023. And if that does not paint the picture... Rooms and corridors smell like a wet dog, the sheets are barely clean, there are almost no toiletries. The only reason we stayed here, is because everything else was booked up. Save yourself trouble.
This by far was the worst experience I have ever had at in hotel in my life. The picture in no way reflect the rooms. How it’s still allowed to host people is beyond me. The rooms are disgusting. They smell of mold, paint chipping, mold in the bathrooms, dirty walls. The walk up to the room is littered with over flowing trash cans, ripped up and taped carpet, rusted banisters and railing, rooms filled with old furniture. Simply turning on the hair dryer tripped the breaker and lost power to the room. The highlight of the experience was the entrance. It looks decent, but does not reflect the true quality. And why the hell is there and abandoned water park on the middle of this thing.

I would never stay here again if I wasn’t so exhausted when I arrived, I would have left as it was I made them move my first room because that had pubic hair on the floor. Disgusting. I was afraid to bring my suitcase in or to even get undressed to sleep. And the swimming pool was empty.
This is not the same hotel that is in the pictures. The first room we had smelled of cigarette smoke, the second room of urine, and the third room they had available had blood on the wall, screws all over the floor, and the bed looked liked someone had been sitting or sleeping in it. There was a man peering in the window of our room and a group of men hanging out in the hallway with garbage bags. Not only was it unclean but it also did not feel safe. We checked out and left all within an hour tops. We tried to get a refund and haven’t had any luck. I will be contacted the Better Business Bureau. The health department should really come do an inspection. Do not stay here!
Run down and dark. Not sure it was clean. Bedding was old. AC made a noise and room smells moldy and musty.
I have stayed at the hotel a few times at the OYO in knoxville, tn. I am really impressed with how big the lobby is and the people who work there. They are always happy.The pool is under construction along with the slides as they are updating it or so. This has been going on for months and I have seen no change with the pool or the slides.
Can you give 0 stars? No working air conditioner in the room. Lampshade on bedside table falling apart and hastily taped together with masking tape. The pool is drained and there is a falling down playground set just sitting on the concrete. Renovations have been abandoned, but nothing to keep you from walking through the area. The side door that is supposed to stay locked has been open the entire time my family member has been staying here. Holes in the blankets. I dont know how it could be worse.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. My first night there the comforter was stained with orange and brown spots. Staff refused to replace it until the next morning and then argued with me. The entire establishment smells like mold and cat urine. I had to go to the front nearly every single day to get my key cards re-keyed because they consistently stopped working or just simply never worked to begin with. Staff was rude, I would give this place zero stars if I could .watch out for the needles in the parking lot.
This place is sketchy at best. Several people asking me for phone chargers and cigarettes. Lots of sketchy people hanging outside. Housekeeping banging on the door before checkout, only half of the air conditioner worked, the plugs are so outdated my charger fell out of it repeatedly causing the lamp to become a strobe light, and the chain lock in the door is attached to a flimsy piece of metal that is falling off the wall. Also no fan in bathroom, and first floor rooms cant see outside.Definitely will not be returning.
They charged 40 dollars for 2 pets n said we would get it back n didn’t.my 2 dogs didn’t mess a thing up.asked for 2 pillows never got them.the plug ins didn’t work.
Mold in rooms. Walls kicked in. Very gross. Not enough pillows or towels. No bolt on door. Will probably get bed bugs….
I have backpacked all through southeast Asia and this was the worst hotel I have ever seen. I would have rather slept outside in the bush. Brocken mirrors, musty smell, blood in the sheets, holes in the walls in the room, furniture looked like it was pulled from the dump. I have never seen anything like it. I would stay here if they gave me $100. They refused a refund and we slept in our cars. Dont let the pictures fool you this hotel looks nothing like the photos. I wish you could give 0 stars .
READ THESE REVIEWS! Just don’t! I can’t even say you get what you pay for. It cost $175/night, but looked and smelled like skid row! Room was dirty, sheets were dirty, the only window looked into a hallway…not even going to think about taking a shower in the moldy bathroom. How is this establishment is still open to the public? Where’s the health department?I know I’m going to get the same copy and paste apology on this review, suggesting I contact them by email. Obviously, they’re not trying to improve guest experiences. But hopefully I can help someone avoid making the same mistake I did!
I only selected a star because I had to in order to write a review. First off the staff is unbelievably rude. The rooms arent clean...there were cockroaches and bed bugs so the sign at the front that says they are 100% bed bug free is a lie. The owner and his wife both pushed their way into my room because I had a visitor dropping food off to me and actually put their hands on said friend. I wouldnt recommend staying there. I know I never will ever again!!! And the pool is closed and drained because a few years ago a little girl drowned and it has been shut down since Im pretty sure....not because of COVID smh. I have never met more rude disrespectful trashy people in my life!!! #NOYO
Due to the construction on parts of hotel- it looked disheveled. Good location for restaurants and shopping. The room felt old and had the ‘old’ motel smell and no coffee machine in the room which most hotel have now. Bed was comfortable and clean.
The floor in the room had holes in them. The light was falling out of the ceiling. The toilet paper dispenser wouldn’t stay in the wall. There is also a musty smell to the room when you walk into it each time. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and loved it but the facility has gone down hill and they don’t take care of the property anymore.
Last minute booking, not many choices at that point. Hands down the worst kept motel Ive ever stayed at. My first indication should have been to local police car driving around the back of the building, twice. The next sign should have been the 2 guys obviously making a drug score outside while we were unpacking. (These were likely the guys the cop was keeping an eye on.)The first room they gave us smelled of urine, was very hot, unkept and the a/c was broken. Was ready to walk out at that point but we were given another room that was not as smelly, but the sheets were clean and the a/c worked. By this time it was 12:30 am and we were bushed, so we stayed. We were gone by sunrise.Cant blame the staff, they were as helpful as they could be, but the buildings were run down, with as little maintenance done that they could get away with. The room was grossly overpriced and over rated. A real fleabag mitel. I guess all things considered we were lucky not to get bedbugs or mugged.
The convenience of the location does precious little to negate the dact that we were catfished with pictures of rooms that were not representative of the rooms actually offered. They turned the boiler off so I was obliged to take a cold shower. Worse, when we complained to the desk clerk, Daniel, he told us if we didnt like it, we could leave.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The pictures are deceiving. The ceiling was falling down, the electrical outlets didnt work, There were bugs in cobwebs in our room, blood splattered on the bathroom door, the smell was horrible, they refused to give us towels and told us it was for emergency purposes only, the heat and a/c unit didnt work, the lighting was from a horror film, the water park in hotel is abandoned. The sheets had stains and burn holes in them, drug deals were happening in the parking lot, Marijuana smell was strong. This hotel needs to be shut down. Another person staying at the hotel said his room had blood stains on the wall too, this is NOT normal. There were creepy people staying there, that just stared; I wouldnt even leave the room alone due to the atmosphere of the hotel. Seriously DO NOT GO HERE. This is a slum hotel, STAY AWAY!!!! We paid over $250 for 2 nights and it was worth nothing. The hotel is run down and not well maintained or cleaned.
I am not one to complain about accomodations, but there were MANY things wrong with this place. The room was in disrepair. The phone did not work, the AC did not work, the TV Remote did not work, the light switch by the door did nothing, one of the lights by the bed had the bulb broken off in the socket. The Towel rack in both the shower area and the outer bathroom area had been broken and repaired horribly. The refrigerator was so loud we unplugged it so we could sleep. The office chair was shedding. It looked like it was thrown out from a thrift store that someone had donated and they refused to put it out for sale. We were only there for one night, We arrived about 11:00. Fortunately the sheets and the bed were clean, even though the floor was not. If they were not, we would have left and paid for a different hotel. I thought since we were planning to get there late and only sleep one night, that it didnt matter what it was like. I was wrong. I saved about $50 compared to nearby hotels. If you are desperate for a cheap room, it is cheap and the bed was clean. If you want anything more than a clean bed, pay more for a better place. Im not very picky, but this place was horrible.
I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms were very dirty. Stains on bedding, carpets, furniture. I got sick the next day. I cant say for sure if I got it from that place but the rooms were so nasty I wouldnt doubt it. We reserved a king and when we arrived there were no kings available. The guy on the phone was confusing. He kept pushing me to pay now with my credit card even though I told him repeatedly we wanted to pay cash when we arrived. He was so insistent I thought it was a scam. I ended up paying for one room with my card to reserve it and sure I enough I got a fraud alert. The room was paid for when I arrived so I guess it was ok. The booking over the phone took 20 minutes or more. We just needed a place to stay since our power was out due to severe weather. We will not be back!
We pulled in the parking lot and had a bad feeling from There and should have left. Lobby was super dark. Renovations being done. We checked in. Not even five minutes later we checked out. Dirty. Smelly. Super musty. Floor was saggy. Bed sounded like it was 100 years old, super creeky. I wouldn’t even walk in the bathroom it was that bad. We checked out and went to a much better, cleaner, brighter and friendlier hotel about nine miles down the road. I normally don’t do negative reviews but seriously buyer beware. It was bad!!!!!
WARNING!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! It was the most disgusting place I have ever booked. I was there maybe 40 minutes long enough to get my key and walk to the room. I was in complete shock. The ceiling was peeling and flaking, blood spatter on the walls, and smelled of urine, and AC was broken hanging off the wall and would not turn on at all. I proceeded back to the front desk and demanded a refund. Front desk lady named Pinal was very rude and she stated she could not give me a refund. So I demanded her to walk to the room with me so she could explain to me why she thought this was acceptable. Upon her walking into the room she stated that AC is not part of the deal. WHAT? I had just paid 330 to stay here and for this? She started hollering and slammed the door in my face. I went back up to the front desk and demanded I speak with the owner/manager. The manager stated he could not give me a refund until the next day I tried to return the keys and they would not accept them at first. So I left the keys at the front desk but not without having her sign her signature stating she received them and I would not be staying there at all for.my records. I refused to pay that amount for such filth and rudeness. Not only all.of this but there was several drug deals going on in the parking lot while all of this was going on. This is not a safe place at all to be! This place should not even be in business! I ended up having to dispute the charge with my bank to get my full refund back. Be aware that the pictures of this hotel online is not what you are paying for!!!!! The pictures are bogus!!!!!!!
There were 2 of us checking in a lot the same time. The keys didnt work for either of our rooms and had to go back down to the front desk to have him fix it. The sheets were stained. The carpet was filthy. Mud chunks all over. There was a hole in the bathroom door. The air conditioner didnt work in our room. For $180/night. Not worth $100. The pool and activity center was closed. There was no breakfast. Paying that much for a night is ridiculous if there arent any extras plus the grossness of the hotel. Only the lobby was clean. Very deceiving.
The room was very clean, large and pretty except for the ceiling where there was a repair. The linens and bedspread were clean, and the carpet looked new. The price was excellent.
Absolutely horrible. Elevators out, 3 squares of toilet paper, no soap, shampoo, ice machine broke.Did have two semi-clean towels. Towel rack broke refrigerator like warm as it was set on one. Bathroom door was filthy, cleaned off around the door with Clorox wipes. Told the person at checkout 45 minutes ago on the morning of June 26th that this was the most disgusting place we have ever stayed and he smiled and said your ok. Guests were frustrated throughout parking lot fussing about conditions to staff, but it seemed the more frustrated you were the happier they were about your experience. Truly feels like this place goes out of their way to assist in providing the worst stay in a hotel they could possibly provide. Nothing makes them more happy than a dissatisfied customer. Stay away whatever you do. I truly hope no one is misled that I was forced to give a star…..0 stars was not an option.
The floor in my room felt like it was going to give way. The chair in the room was so old the vinyl had completely worn off. Water pressure in the shower was almost non existent. TV remote was falling apart. The door handle broke. The towels were stained with what looked like someone had wiped their butt with it. The place needs a MAJOR REMODEL! Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
I hate that I had to use any of the stars to rate this dive it certainly should not be considered a hotel. No breakfast as advertised, no swimming pool, no hot water, poor lighting in my room just the worst. Dont even think about a late check out they start banging on doors at 10:50 am for you to get out. Bad hotel dont do it.
It was a decent place, definitely needs some repairs here and there. Overall was pretty clean. No Bugs anywhere we could see. Pool was a lot of fun for the kids but there was a weight limit for the slide area so it was mostly for the kids and our room was chillier than we liked but we couldnt raise the temp any more. The breakfast was great, with waffle stations and biscuits and gravy or you can make sausage egg biscuit sandwiches a pretty good size variety but not much seating. Overall a great stay.
Like someone else said..I gave it a one star because ZERO is not an option. The hotel looked ok at best until we got to the hallway where our room was. Then disgusting is the next available option. The pool/water area was not even open. Walked into the room which smelled off smoke and urine. Immediately made the decision to ask for a refund. The furniture was peeling. The bedding was full of cigarette burns and the bed was not even made. I did not feel safe for my children or myself. I decided to go back to the front desk asking for a refund. Then the kicker...the prosititute climbing the fence into the hotel! I was able to ask for a cancellation and am waiting for my refund.
So unsafe we couldn’t stay there. Left after being in the room for less than 5 minutes. Didn’t even feel comfortable leaving our stuff in the room. Left within minutes and was yelled at but promised a refund that I didn’t receive after being yelled at more by their customer service reps. Cigarette ashes on the floor in the room, sketchy people surrounding the premises, mold everywhere, rotten food under the beds, horrible customer service, stains everywhere that looked like blood and other bodily fluids. Please do not stay here- especially if you are with loved ones that you want to keep safe. Would give 0 stars if it was an option
While they were friendly at the front desk. The hotel left much to be desired. There is an indoor pool and mini waterpark, but due to Covid has been shut down. The smell of Chlorine was extremely strong, but to be expected with such. The corridors appear to have been originally all outdoor rooms and then closed in. The rooms definitely need to be updated, but I thought the bed was pretty comfortable, and as someone with severe back problems, I definitely appreciated. Our refrigerator did not work and smelled of mildew. It was difficult to find the entrance, but it was quite convenient to several fast food restaurants, so that was a huge plus. They offer room service with quite extensive menu, though we did not order. Overall, we didnt mind all the little details, but enjoyed a good nights sleep.
The front desk workers were very nice but the hotel looks nothing like it does in the pictures. It is very run down and did not appear very clean as there were hairs and dirt in the room. The first room we were placed in the air conditioner had leaked water all over the room and it smelled like mildew. The door on the bathroom was unhinged and falling off. The second room we were moved to wasn’t much better but at least it didn’t have water leaking. Would not recommend staying here.
Property is NOT like shown in pictures. Broken walls. Dirty carpet. SUPER HOT hallways felt like there was no AC. Like switch in room has no cover over it exposing wiring behind it. One of our bedsheets and comforter had staining and burn marks on it. Pool was no accessible and the waterpark feature looked like it hadnt been touched in years. This was in advance of me calling and being told that the pool was open. All in all, very disappointing. Will not consider staying here ever again. Also, did not see an elevator so no handicap access to the 2nd floor if that is important to you. Forgot to take pictures but do not stay here. You can stay at better for similar pricing.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. The price is good BUT DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The hotel room smelled like they vacuumed it with a very old vacuum cleaner! The bathroom didn’t look clean and there were stains everywhere. They didn’t supply a lot of towels or wash cloths. The sheets had dried blood on them and the lamps had brown crust around the switch. The customer service was great and the lobby was beautiful but the rooms WERE AWFUL!!!! To top it all of they have roaches!!!! There was one crawling on my floor and after that I had enough. I checkout and got refunded. I felt nasty the whole time I was there. Horrible hotel!
If I could give zero stars I would! We chose this place cause it was close to our convention. The reviews seemed pretty good, we were wrong in thinking this. First, the pool and hot tub was listed as a perk, only to find them drained and not useable. Lights flicker giving a gloomy feeling. Once we got to our room, immediately we were hit with a foul smell. The ceiling has water stains, the duvet and sheets are stained with a menagerie of fluids, they gave us one small human sized towel that feels like sandpaper on your skin, the ac barely works, the water pressure is barely a drip, and to top it all off, the small tv wouldn’t turn on and the batteries were missing from the remote! Not what I expected for a $200/night stay!!! Ugh!
What can I say about my hotel experience with OYO hotel in Knoxville, TN? Unfortunately, nothing good. We had originally booked for 2 nights but were so disappointed we had to get a refund (if we ever see it).We have stayed with this hotel before and know that the kids love the indoor water area. In the past, there has never been a charge for the pool and on their website under the amenities section the pool is listed as FREE. After we paid for our stay, they then only informed us the pool was $10 per person. For my family, that would be an additional $80 just to swim. On that alone, we didnt go to the room but called to try that resolved. After being on hold for 45mins with Customer service while they looked for a supervisor, we gave up and just asked the front office for a refund for the next night and went to bed.Once we got to the room, it was in disgusting condition. There was what looked like pee stains on the sheets, food splattered on the walls, the shower walls looked like that have never been cleaned, and there was literally poop on the back on the bathroom door. I lysoled everything as best as I could because of how gross it was. I really didnt want my kids to touch anything.We were told the refund was started the day we checked in. Upon check out, we were given a number and said we had to call for a refund. Another 20min call later, they said the refund will come on one day OR 2 hours. It makes absolutely no sense. Im just hoping they do the right thing and refund our money.I very highly DO NOT recommend staying here and will personally never stay in another OYO hotel after this horrible experience.
If there were an option for zero stars I would choose it. We stay in hundreds of hotels a year and this one is easily the worst. The most misleading online photo gallery out there. You can see the condition in the pictures. The desk chair was clearly found in a dumpster. I dont get the plastic lawn chair in the closet at all. Smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. E-cigarette cartridge just sitting on the headboard showed they really dont clean the rooms. The entire property is run down and has been several different hotels judging by the amount of different branded items throughout the place. The man that was at the front desk was incredibly rude from the start. Trying to scold me for using the wrong door (Im a guest not an employee), refusing to listen to complaints, etc. And that escalated to a full blown yelling and cussing match started by him when I turned in the key and refused to stay there. I hope management knows the type of person they had on duty the night of 2-19-2021. If you are looking for a decent room spend the extra ten bucks and go to ANY other hotel in the area. Trust me you do not want to stay in this run down, smoke filled, dirty, sorry excuse for a motel. They shouldnt even be allowed to call themselves a hotel.
Bad idea for rooms to me, Ill stick with the places I know that provide good service. Housekeeping is probably understaffed at this point because the job didnt seem to be completely done. The bed wasnt made with seem like clean lining, nor was the smell of the room pleasing.
Was locked out of my room an hour prior to 11am checkout and was forced to pay $100 to get access to my belongings. The previous resident of my room removed the smoked detectors battery, left it on the wall with battery side opened and apparently smoked inside the room.As a result, I was accussed of it smelling like smoke, stealing the 9V square battery, locked out from our belongings, my childs cloths/baby food/diapers, all my credit cards were inside the room and had to beg a relative to use their card for the money to allow access to our belongings.The manager litterally stated he didnt know if it was me or the previous tenant but forced us to pay his fee. Threatened to put us in jail by calling the police. I honestly believe it was a shakedown which neglected access to get our snacks/3month old baby / his food, blankets, credit cards and pillows I brought in.We literally walked outside to the car that morning to prepare for departure one trip to car at a time but realized my key no longer worked to get back inside the outer door. I had to get back into the building, had to walk around entire building to front desk and learned because they smelled cigarette smoke in the HALLAWAY it mustve been us. Who in their right mind smokes inside 155 sq ft space with 3month child and no evidence of inside my room of us being the culprit.Apparently I was last to leave that morning and paid the fee at 10:18am. Very disappointed and little angry that actions of this manager. Never going back again.
If I could give this a zero rating I would! Upon entering it was an overall grungy looking place to stay but we hoped for the best. We paid $73 for a room with two beds. The mattress had stains that looked to be urine, the bathroom had hairs all over the shower, the faucet leaked and looked as if it was going to fall out of the wall. Only the lamp beside our bed worked and the bathroom light those were the only lights that worked out of 5 light fixtures two of them worked.The fridge had mold and hair all over the inside of it. Hair on the sheets and just stunk of dust, mold and cigarettes. When I told the clerk at the desk we wouldn’t be staying and I would like my money back he proceeded to say we couldn’t have a refund because we had already been in the room and we could have made the mess. I assured him I had photos of the state of the room before we had even set our things down. He insisted he check the room and continued to say we made the mess. He threatened to call the police but didn’t because he realized it wouldn’t do any good. He then grabbed $73 in ones and two $5 bills and didn’t even count it out. Absolute worst experience I have ever had I urge you not to take your family there.

If youre ever in Knoxville TN and looking for a hotel, do NOT stay at the OYO Hotel on Cedar Bluff RD. unless you just enjoy throwing your hard earned money away.First off, they only have 1 wheelchair accessible room and it is a king that they will only book for 2 people, we are a family of 4 and our youngest uses a wheelchair.Next is the swimming pool. Its an awesome indoor pool and splash pad but you arent allowed to use it because it aint the right time of year (remember its an indoor pool in a climate controlled environment) or maybe because the outside wall is about to fall in on it. Oh yes, the web site says its closed from January to April but this is June and it almost 90 degrees outside. I did mention the wall is about to fall in didnt i?Next, Im not sure that you can call what I slept on a mattress any longer. Im sure at some time in past history it probably qualified but now I think I have slept in a sleeping bag on top of tree roots and felt better about it.And then out of 2 ice machines only none are working. They have a sign on them that looks like its been there for a long while that claims they are needing maintenance. I could have figured that out without the sign due to one of them missing outside covers and Im sure vital parts.I really dont ask for a whole lot in a hotel but when you pay for a night I think you should have what is advertised and not the run down slum that we got. I will say though that the room is clean but its just an average hotel room like anywhere else at half the price.And lastly, we used Hotels.com as a third party booking agent and I really think it would have been cheaper to have called the hotel directly to get reservations and to get a refund when you use a third party, you have to go through a ton of red tape, be on call waiting for 1 hour and then it takes up to 2 weeks to get your money back. Not to mention the front desk wouldnt approve a refund to the hotels.com anyway.Anyway, just say no the OYO. They should change the name from OYO to ONO.
This hotel was a nightmare! The rooms said basic accommodations which would have been fine if the room had been clean. The comforters were stained and the bathroom floor hadnt been cleaned. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and the bathtub still had someones hair in it.Pricing policy isnt clear and in order to use the pool, you had to pay an additional $10 per person. Was charged for a cancellation even though I checked in the hotel and stayed. Hotel staff either lacked ability to resolve the issue or passed it off to the manager who never showed upI had family from GA and we traveled from VA for an event there in Knoxville and the pool is why we chose to stay here. This is definitely a case of catfishing. Outside of the pictures of the pool... everything else is glossed over.
Hotel staff would not allow my son to actually check in because he was homeless at the time, but refused to issue refund. Filed claim with bank. Numerous bad reviews across web. Stay Away. OYO stands for On Your Own, and that is exactly right. If you choose to stay here, you are on your own.
This was a horrible experience for my family. We rented 2 rooms for our daughters birthday we were sooo very excited since placing our reservations pictures looked awesome mostly. Just so you know dont be fooled all water activities are closed and no continental breakfast not even grab and go bag. We even called ahead to check since covid has changed so many places. They assured us all good sooo anticipated a great time. Got the bad news upon arrival then figured ok well we will make the best of it anyway we were informed that we couldnt be refunded anyway so we went to our rooms. Ohhhh man that was when it really started to sink in this is the worst hotel besides the flea hotel not far from oyo. Story for a different day. The ceilings were peeling throughout all 4 rooms the floors were scary the bathrooms even worse then I looked for bedbugs because thats what you would expect after how yucky the rooms were well I didnt see any until 2 AM when I felt something on my elbow. Dang BEDBUGS! Took clothes that came into the room straight to laundry and showered as soon as we got home. Now my arm feels like I was hit by a baseball. We are soooo very upset and disappointed. This place should be shut down until they get their business together. Wish I had seen the negative reviews before breaking my kids hearts and wasting my hard earned money. Hopefully the owners see this and take it seriously. They truly lost on several bookings.
We went here for a family moon and was excited that there was a indoor water park and complementary breakfast. When we arrived they informed us that the pool is no longer open and there’s no complementary breakfast. Also there was glass by the entrance there was dirt by our door of our bedroom and the bedroom was unacceptable. It was unclean there was burn cigarette marks on the bed. We searched for other hotels to stay at but was unable to so we tuft it out. We will not be staying here again. You know the place is dirty when you feel dirtier taking a shower than not.
It does not work at all, cockroaches everywhere, the smell of urine and the smell that the rooms have are disgusting, the service does not serve, they do not have breakfast, the air conditioning is all broken, there is no control of the hotel area, beer bottles everywhere, it does not have any type of security. its better to sleep in the car
The staff was more than accommodating for our large football team. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was great and Shirley was outstanding. Pools were clean and the kids loved it. Will stay again if in area.
Ended up doing an impromptu overnight trip. And this was were we stayed. Hotel needs some updates but room was clean. Beds were comfy. My only complaint is the heater didnt work well and as we have 2 kids and it was 30° this was not good.

At check in was informed that the pool/Waterpark wasn’t included in stay. It was $10 per person, per day. The hot tub was under repair. Due to the water being off for Waterpark when not in use made the water was too cold for kids to enjoy it. Indoor pool was why we chose this hotel. Pretty sad when hotels charge to use the pool. Will not stay here again. Heating/air unit is above door and operated by remote control and wasn’t a quiet one. When the unit in our room did cut off I could the unit from next door. At breakfast noticed a sign that said breakfast must be eaten in lobby. Selections were very slim, a couple of donuts, a couple slices of bread, 2 cereals and waffle. A guest mentioned they would have had biscuits and gravy but ran out a couple of days ago.
We had stayed at this location in the past and had no issues, but this visit was much different. We first checked in and the room we were placed in had a damp musky smell to it. I called the front desk and Brian was very helpful and had no issues moving us rooms. We went to our new room and the heat is controlled by a remote so once again had to call to get assistance with it. Had to pay extra to use the water park area and this was not advertised. During the day shift called from the pool area to get more towels and was told they were out and we would have to use our room towels. Hallways were very cold, dirty bathrooms and stains on the sheets and towels. I was very disappointed in this visit and will not be back.
I really wish there was a 0 stars option. Very very dirty. Bathroom walls were stained, towels were stained, bedding was stained and had holes. Sink was backing up the whole time. Everything smelt like smoke (even though they say it is non smoking). Everything about this place is extremely sketchy. The indoor pool and water park are right out side the rooms and so if anybody decides that they are going to pay to use the pool ($10 per day per person) then it is very VERY loud. I would not recommend this place to anybody. This is a good part of town and there are plenty of other better options. Don’t waist your money here.
BUYER BEWARE. The pictures online look nice, but this is the sketchiest hotel I have ever had the misfortune of booking. The rooms smelled strongly of smoke even though it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. We checked in and were on the property for about 30 minutes before deciding that we wouldnt sleep at all for fear that our cars would be broken into and the criminal activity going on in the parking lot and gang tags... I would definitely be concerned about being in the parking lot alone. We immediately returned the room keys and notified the front desk we were leaving. The BEST PART is the refund policy which, according to my confirmation email that I am more than happy to provide as evidence, refunds are only possible if you cancel the reservation 24 hours BEFORE I EVEN MADE THE RESERVATION... so... I would have to time travel into the past to 24 hours before I booked the room to cancel the reservation that I had not even made yet. Otherwise, if you dont cancel 24 hours before you booked, you get no refund. So as of this writing, I am currently out almost $500 for a 6 night stay of which we were actually at the hotel for 30 minutes. Jerks.
This place is a complete catfish. Room wasn’t clean, was missing the coffee maker , ironing board, and hair dryer. Had unknown people knocking on my door at all times of night while I had three children under three asleep. Also the neighbor was so drunk that he was screaming at his kids all night long and the people at the front desk were rude. Very wrong company staying at this hotel. You have to pay $63 for one night and that’s not including the $10 wristbands that you have to have if 2 or older to even swim or be by the pool which they don’t even mention when you book they tell you when you get there. Reserved two rooms got to the hotel and only had one. Definitely won’t be back.
I would give this 0 if I could. We got to our room and there was dried blood on the beds, and the “white” sheets were yellow. The ac was broken so we called and asked for help and didn’t get help for another HOUR. the lady came in and was rude had absolutely no hospitality and wouldn’t let us speak to the manager. We asked for new sheets and she said they had none. We asked for a refund, and she said no but she could offer us another dirty room. We decided to leave and go to another hotel and when we went to turn in our keys she was incredibly disrespectful and wouldn’t let one of my friends back into the room to get her charger even though we paid for the room already (since she couldn’t refund it). Absolutely will never return, and would never recommend this place to anyone. Go to the motel 6 before you go here. Or sleep on a bench because you’ll get better hospitality and cleanliness there.
Room 114 smells badly of mold. Tried telling the front desk to fix it before he rented it out again. He ignored me and would not look at me. Tried explaining to my sister that it is just from being next to the pool. Aslo, a couple places on the floor had holes under the carpet. And you felt like you would fall through. The room was extremely dirty and dusty as well. Make sure you bring plenty of disinfectant wipes if you dare to stay. My 2 younger nieces did enjoy the pool area when the main attraction finally got turned on.
Not sure where to start. The Air Conditioner sounded like a Freight train, loud and rattled. The office chair was deteriorating (Picture Attached). One of the handrails going down the outside stairs was wood and was broke in half with large splinters sticking out. Place is in not the best of shape as far as upgrades, very rundown. Probably not a repeat visit for us unless we knew there were improvements. I think it was way overpriced for what we got. Thank goodness we only needed a bed to sleep for the night because it just was not up to standards.
The location is great as it’s on cedar bluff in Knoxville. The staff was nice and helpful and check in and check out was nice and flawless but….. THIS WAS THE MOST GHETTO RAGGEDY HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED IN! It smelled horrible, everything was dirty, the rooms were outdated, there were holes in the walls everywhere, bathroom smelled like puke, the bedding was clearly VERY dirty, the tv didn’t work. It was all around a horrible stay and it wasn’t even cheap!. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
It is a tired, old, patched together hotel that feels like an abandoned theme park. I’m sure the water features were nice when they were running, but as it is, you find yourself looking for creepy clowns in the drainage grates. The bathroom counter is toddler height, which I would assume would be for accommodation except that we were on the second floor and there’s no elevator. I’m glad we only stayed one night, and that no actual clowns were spotted during our stay.
Needed a quick place to stay for 2 nights as home was having some emergency work done. This OYO was close to where we work and was one of the only places available at short notice. I want to clarify we did stay the 2 nights as it was just a place to lay our heads in the evening. Sketchy people in parking lot, one drove up near our entrance, sprinted into the woods out back and returned to his car with a package and sped off. No idea what kind of Cosa Nostra tactics are taking place with that situation. I thought for sure one of our catalytic converters would have been swiped in the night but it did not happen. The room was filthy and musty, Cheetos laying next to desk and as I was cleaning those up, I saw a hard brown lump squished up against one of the desk legs. It was petrified dookie, most likely from a dog ( I Hope!). The AC did work enough to cool the room for our stay and the bed was fairly comfortable but the mattress did have stains when the sheets were pulled back. In our desperate situation, knowing we would be gone in 2 days and never have to return, I just took it as is, especially with the low cost. Last thing, and this one made me laugh pretty hard for some reason, the TV remote was missing the battery cover. Now you would think maintenance would run to Dollar General across the street and get a $5 remote to replace it. No. The batteries were held in by two or three BANDAIDS!!! Yes the ones for minor cuts LMAO. Covered in filthy bandaids. That never even crossed my mind as a temporary fix at home let alone at a business!! Bottom line you get what you pay for, around 50 bucks a night in a central to business area is worth it if absolutely necessary. If they did some cleaning and a bit of remodeling, with the location and size, they could easily break into the Country Inn, Red Roof nightly rate territory, closer to 89-100 a night. Front desk staff was friendly on check in and check out, but housekeeping, maintenance and ownership need to reevaluate things to stop these less than stellar reviews!
House keeping must had not cleaned the rooms. We still had used wash cloths hanging up. The rooms were very smelly. Air did not work and it was so hot. The front desk clerk acted like he didn’t care about anything. There were a lot of trashy guest staying there. Some girls need to respect themselves more.
Make no mistake, this is an older hotel. However, it is well kept up and cleaner than most hotels at this price range. This hotel is has a great family feel! The staff is super nice and the kids absolutely loved the small water park. The beds are also very comfortable and they actually have very nice sheets and comforters. We will definitely be back next time we are in Knoxville. Id recommend stopping by if you need some place to wear the kids out and you need a good nights sleep. The water park is absolutely worth the extra you pay, the kids had a blast. Thank you for having us as guests and we look forward to seeing you again.
Everything they charge for pets witch is ok but I stayed in candlewood suites and paid less I was charges 70 per night plus 40 for my 2 dogs the pols is closed and disgusting the rooms are disgusting. This place needs to be closed down for safety and nit following CDC guidelines. I made sure to take plenty of pictures
I would give 0 stars if i could. We havent even been in the room for a few minutes and we want to leave. The sheets have holes and there were ashes on the floor and the sheets were nasty. This is supposedly a smoke free hotel but yet is nasty. The floors were sticky and wet. The neighbors are sketchy and the whole hotel itself is. Never recommend this hotel!!
We highly suspect that many of the bad reviews are deleted or weeded out, because we were deceived. We made a confirmation call directly to OYO our pre-paid reservations and ask questions in regard to any changes due to COVID-19. We were assured our reservation was complete, there was daily free newspaper, working microwave & fridge in each room, and the pool was still open. We also asked how rigid the check-in times were. We were told that the check-in time was flexible with NO indication of any additional costs for arriving early or late. Then found out that there would be an additional $20 fee for checking in early. Then when checking in, we discovered the room was dirty and in disrepair. There was garbage & food under the bed, dirty/oily hand-prints on the TV stand, headboard,and broken desk with peeling chair. There was used Kleenex on the tv stand, q-tip laying on the bathroom floor, stains and hair on the bedding, peeling paint, fixtures with exposed wires, nonworking phone with an exposed panel, & blood or coffee on the wall. So, we then went to complain and have them make it right. We went through all these things to the housekeeping, and we left them to it. When we returned, there was very little of that list completed. We also, discovered there was NO working ice machine, and the pool was closed (which we understand due to COVID-19, but it looked like it had been closed for quite some time with what little water was there it was green). So, the drama continues to get worse. So, the next day we didnt get housekeeping services and no newspaper.I had even stripped the bed and put the dirty linen and towels to the side, plus had all the garbage in the can to make it simpler for the housekeeping since I’ve done hotel housekeeping in my past and wanted to be kind. When we returned that night, and went to inform them, this desk manager was kind and though he couldn’t get us services due to the timing, he did make sure we got clean towels. The next morning when we went to get coffee the desk manager then, said that there was no housekeeping due to COVID-19 (which we were NEVER informed) and that it was inappropriate for us to complain on check-in and expect the to clean it. As I walked away, this guy kept yelling to me as if we were the ones in the wrong. He also said if we wanted clean linens to set them and the garbage outside the room, since due to Covid-19 housekeeping couldn’t come in until after we checked out. This was not something previously told to us and he told us it was USUAL policy to NOT provide cleaning to anyone staying over unless they asked for it (wrong as NO hotel I’ve ever stayed worked in ever did this housekeeping unless asked not to). That night after again not getting towels or garbage replaced, we went to the counter, where the nicer manager was there and he switched rooms for us, where then the fridge had no door on the freezer part and was so frosted, we could barely put anything in it. And the desk chair was also in disrepair and peeling. Plus, we ended up having to buy a small space heater because the heat/air conditioner didn’t work. We finally for the last 2 nights didn’t complain and just made due! We know we got this room at a discount (with my alpha chi college honorship society membership travel discounts) and weren’t expecting perfection; however, this was absolutely unacceptable, then to be told we were the ones being wrong was downright abusive. We really should have gotten a refund. We also, had observed others trying to use the washer and dryer that ate their money. The neighboring hotel room guests had said they had the same clean issues and were given a refund and moved rooms. This is ridiculous and why we highly suspect many of the bad reviews are being deleted. I would NOT recommend staying here for any reasons! Not only was it dirty, but if you dare complain or request anything, you will be ridiculed and mistreated. We have reservation proof and pictures if needed!
The staff has been wonderful! Staying here while I wait for my apartment to open up and my first two nights were so great I opted to get another.The housekeeping team hasn’t bothered me a bit and was very quick to give me more towels, soap and coffee when I asked.The rooms are small but very nice and clean. The bed is huge and comfortable. My room did have a bit of a damp smell to it, but it wasn’t overpowering and I quickly grew noseblind to it. That sort of thing is to be expected with a building this old. No big deal.The location is great. It’s in a brightly lit and safe area with tons of food options within walking distance.The breakfast is nothing fancy but there are bagels, cereal, milk and various pastries. I was a bit disappointed that the juice machine was down and that they didn’t have a waffle maker but for the price, I’m happy that they bother to give us anything.There’s even a water park! It’s an extra ten bucks but it like an actual mini water park. There’s a full play place for the kids With slides and everything and a great big pool with a waterfall for everyone else. I haven’t tried it, but it’s still full of water and the waterfall is running in January so I assume it’s heated.All in all, you won’t find a nicer stay in west Knoxville for this price point. If you have any sort of issue, the staff will correct it right away. These people understand hospitality.I strongly recommend!
The pool and water park is closed due to Covid but all other indoor pools are open in the area. I think they are just being cheap. No ice machines, they are all broken. Water trickles from shower and hot water starts getting cold after about 5 minutes. Refrigerator didn’t work so our food ruined. Pay the $10 extra and stay somewhere else. We woke up with our eyes matted up, guessing there was mold we couldn’t see. Left and we had no more problems. Won’t stay there again
Decent room but indoor pool was $10 per person and not worth it. Pool was cracked up, hot tub was warm, not hot, kids area wasnt turned on until someone asked. Extremely uncomfortable beds and staff who acted like the SWAT team over the pool and breakfast areas. Snacks could be purchased anytime which was a bonus. They dont let anyone off the streets walk in which is good but people need to not be allowed to smoke marijuana in the rooms. All rooms are indoors. How does staff notice youre too close to the waterfall in the pool but doesnt smell weed ?!
Dont expect to have a guest that can swim with you unless you plan to pay out more money. Do not expect to be able to take your complimentary breakfast to your room as they will not allow you. If youre planning on having a romantic morning by having breakfast in bed wont happen unless you buy your own. There are no towels in the pool area. They want to charge you $20 to swim in the pool. If you stay here the money you pay to stay is not all youll be paying. The man at the front desk he has the worst attitude I have ever encountered. I use to love coming here with my family now I will never come back. From now on I will be going to the wilderness where I was going to go but I decided to help support my local businesses bad decision.
Not slept one night yet of what is supposed to be a 4 night stay and all we can do is try to stay calm and make it through one single night. Its DISGUSTING! Dirty hand prints everywhere, the beds are gross, found a dirty sock from a previous occupant, and thats just the start! My son was barefoot on the carpet for mere minutes and his feet were black with dirt, big cockroaches crawling around outside the room... it is a nightmare! My girlfriend and I will not even attempt the shower here and have taken pictures of everything we found. We travel for the convention circuit constantly, and this is without a doubt the WORST hotel we have ever seen. Seedy looking off the highway motels have proven cleaner than this place!
It was fair. The pictures online make it look nicer than it is. The room smelled like old cigarettes. The door to the bathroom was water damaged and wouldnt close. The wall had holes in it. It had been updated fairly recently, but only in the most superficial ways possible.The creamer for the coffee was so old it was just big flakes of coffee creamer. One packet had already been opened. For the money, I am certain I can find a place with a higher level of confidence on upkeep and cleanliness.
I gave it an overall 1 star because of the service. Staff was rude and disrespectful. I made a reservation for 2 nights. Upon arrival I was asked to pay 20 dollars in CASH to check in. The transaction had to be cash after I was told at booking there was no need for a deposit. I saw nowhere where the 20 was applied to my bill. I had service animals with me for my stay and was under the impression there was no fee for them because they would not be classified as a PET. 2 hours after the sketchy check in i got a knock on my door and was told i now needed another 20 dollars per day for my pets and by the following morning they needed another 100 for a SECOND DEPOSIT! I was dumbfounded and decided not to stay for the 2nd night I had reserved. I had worked late that evening and on my way back to the hotel i ordered food for delivery. After being told at check in i was not allowed to have ANYONE including family come inside the building or to my room (which I paid for) I asked them to meet me at the back door closest to my room. My delivery driver never showed because she was held at the front desk and told not to go around back but to leave with front desk. Apparently you need to ask permission for deliveries. I was told any and all deliveries have to go through the secretary first. Ridiculous!! The following day a.m. it was check out time and i was walking back and forth taking belongings out to my car and was locked out intentionally and forced to go to the owner/mgr and have him open the door to get my animals. At first i was being told i had to pay 80 bucks to open the door and retrieve them. I threw a fit and was finally able to get them. This hotel is a joke and rip OFF! Other guests were also being kicked out at the same time after booking and paying for additional days were told they didnt reserve and didnt pay and were forced to leave as well. This was the worst possible stay ive ever experienced at a hotel. I wouldnt let them pay me to stay there! Terrible! I suggest any of the other hotels on cedar bluff before that 1. Hopefully they will get new staff that doesnt harass, watch, and be disrespectful to their patrons. DONT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT ALL!!!
My husband went in to look at a room before we rented thank goodness! Do not go there. It needs to be tore down. It has an awesome water park to be inside, but has not been kept up. Needs some major cosmetic attention. Way to high on the price for the shape it is in. There was only 5 cars there when we went in to check in a room. We watched 2 cars pull in and circle then pull back out.
This hotel looked great online but the pictures clearly do not show the actual rooms. We walked in and all you could smell was cigarette smoke and some kind of airfreshner that was used to try and cover the smell. The room was not clean looking and upon further investigation, the comforter was stained, the ceiling looked like it would fall in, moldy looking and there was some smeared oily looking substance on the night table. Investigation of the bathroom, there appeared to be blood squirted on the walls. We immediately advised the front desk and requested a refund and was advised it must be done online that loops you into a endless loop.. I will never stay at this hotel!
If I could give negative stars, I would... Looks like a jail. Smells musty the “water park” looks disgusting and wasn’t even working. The ceiling leaked in my room. It was hard to stay in my room because of the horrible smell. The floor in my room felt like I was going to fall threw. The rooms were definitely not cleaned, I felt very uncomfortable to stay there. I was followed to my room by a worker which was very unsettling. It literally brought me to tears, I almost slept in the car.
BED BUGS. Absolutely horrible. I booked this hotel for my grandma. She needed a ground level floor and pet access. The man on the phone told me he had a ground floor available and pets were allowed as long as I pay. I paid over the phone and she got there 10 minutes later. They wouldn’t give her a ground floor like the man on the phone said I reserved and gave her a hard time about her dog. Her room was a closet… no windows in the room. Dirty sheets. Bed bugs on the bed. Dirty bathroom. It couldn’t have been any worse. It’s a shame the man had to lie on the phone just to get business.
RUN AWAY. Quite honestly the worst hotel experience I have had in my life. If you considering going here, please take the time to read the review first.I arrived and got checked in, only to find my room a mess. Their were holes from bugs in the sheets, the floor was soaking wet, the lock on the door was broken, and someone had been using my mini fridge before I got in there, and had left their fingerprints all over it.I went to the front desk to ask for another, identical room (not an upgrade or refund), and the front desk attendant blamed me for breaking the room and then “lying about it”.I left the hotel immediately. The Hampton inn across the street is 100x better, and just barely more expensive.
We got a double queen room and as soon as we walked in, the waft of cigarette smell was overwhelming. Then there were so many cigarette holes in the comforter, the ceiling was coming off and there were scratches and marker on the walls. As we were going to bed, we found a sewing needle IN the carpet by the foot of the bed.We paid $77 for this room. That was still too much!!
Just like other reviews before me, 1 star only because no stars wasnt an option. How does that place pass health inspections. THE TOILET IN OUR ROOM DID NOT FLUSH!!!!! The room smelled like urine. This was the first time I had immediately checked out of a room it was that bad. I feel bad for the people working there.
So when I made a reservation, I asked for joint rooms and double checked to make sure the wrist bands were still included in the price. I was confirmed on the phone that they wrist bands were still included as they always had been in the past... and also I was told when I got there they do not do conjoined rooms unless requested. I informed them when I booked reservations over the phone that it would be requested for our two rooms to be joint. The man at the desk told me if I didn’t call myself they wouldn’t do that. Also apologized for their website not having updated Information. GeeZ. Then called and asked for towels... never brought any. Hours later went and asked them and they told me they were out! Also use to you could still swim after checkout and now you can’t. CLEARLY different owners now. New ones seem to be running it in the ground. It use to be so neat and tidy and staff before was phenomenal. It’s a shame honestly.
Great place and people. Free Breakfast was filled with plenty of choices and well maintained. Pool and hot tub were clean and water park is geared for younger children but again clean perfect for keeping little ones busy. Rooms have microwave and mini fridge, flat screen TV. I would definitely return.
The room was nasty, the air conditioner/heater did not work. Best way to describe it is roach motel. Mold around the shower, stains on the shower curtain and walls, and tile falling off the tub. GROSS!!!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would!!
I have reserved for 2 nights on 6/8-6/9. after I stayed in the room for only 15 minutes I noticed the air condition was so loud, I also attached a 10 seconds video to here it. I went down to the front desk to ask for cancelation and I have called the service team and after a long call, Varethim and Daniel agreed to accept the cancelation and I were told to leave the hotel and the whole amount I paid will be refunded back to my account. So I left and rented in another place.On the next day morning 06/09/2022, I went to the OYO hotel to confirm my cancelation, the manager Mike, he was so aggressive, shouting and yelling at me for no reason. He disrespected me in front of the other customers and kicked me out of the hotel while I was trying to call the service team. I asked him 6 times to lower his voice, but he insisted to humiliating me and disrespect me. It was horrible situation, I regret dealing with you. I had horrific experience. I am really sad such a manager like him representing your management. He also refused to refund me back my money although the staff confirmed my cancelation and asked me I am done and can leave, so I left and paid another money for renting somewhere else.
We had reservations for two king size beds with proof of the fact we did. The lobby person said we didn’t and had to pay $69 extra to move to that room. After a long dispute they agreed they messed up. Then we went with our three kids to the water park which they didn’t turn on until 20 minutes til close. Shortly after that a man with no clothes (nude) walked out of his room in front of our small children. We went to the counter right away and demanded a refund. The man refused, so we went to our room and packed our stuff and planned on leaving when we noticed bed bugs on the bed. I showed the man and he still said no refund. DONOT STAY HERE!!!!
If i could give this a rating below 1 i would’ve. I NEVER complain about things and i always Try to be understanding as the whole world is understaffed, but the room was tidy but absolutely disgusting. The bed sheets and blankets had fresh stains on them and the front desk girl had the audacity to punch my door to get my attention then throw my “clean” linens on the dirty floor. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car before staying here.

I had to stay here while a family member was in the hospital. It was the first 24 hour check in hotel I found. I asked for a one night stay (checked in at 6am.) I got to the room and it smelled like mildew and the toilet seat was about to fall off since it was broken at some point. The furniture was ripped and stained. They told me they had me for a one night stay when I checked in. Then I get a call at 11:05 a.m with someone saying 10 more minutes to leave or were coming in!) Ive never felt more uncomfortable in a hotel, and Ive stayed in some sketchy places. Stay elsewhere if you can.
We were in town as a couple for a working vacation. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of pillows! The AC worked tremendously well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of two nights and didn’t have any complaints.Aside from the hotel there were plenty of places to eat and shop all within a short drive!
The staff is rude. They charged me twice. Still waiting for my money back. They closed the water park, but still charge for it. The staff is unprofessional and dont care that they wrong. My child was shocked by exposed wires on the lamp. Place has gone down hill fast.
Friendly staff and nice looking pool & mini water park(was temp closed due to Covid). Although the room was not the cleanest, you could tell it had just been getting quickly swept through as a “ cleaning” . I definitely made it a point to wipe some surfaces down and Everything. Looks like it was a quick cheap renovation bc it was a cheap buy.
Bed was comfortable, but you could hear every other door on the hall shut anytime someone entered or left their room. The curtains didnt fully shut. The fire alarm wasnt on the wall. Only the wires were left. The toilet didnt stop running most of the night and it was hard to flush. The hotel has also changed names, but that wasnt posted any where online which made it hard to locate.
Hotel was expensive for what it was. Room was very damp, dated & dingy. The floor around the air conditioner was soaked and the room smelled. Furthermore, there was hair left in bathtub.The pool area was not included in the price of the room, you have to pay extra and the pet fee was expensive and non-refundable. And I was nervous to leave my room considering the looks of other “guests” hanging around outside the rooms.
No pool since covid but when i called to make the booking I was told the pool was up and running. No breakfast. The rooms are really run down with mold peeling the ceiling. Was supposed to have my daughters birthday here, but of course this is the worst hotel we stayed at. Dont waste your money.
There’s blood on the bathroom wall, bed sheets and this chair looks like it came off the side of the road. Before we left I took and cleaned the walls and door with alcohol because we are all aware of the risks associated with blood borne pathogens. I also took video of everything right before I cleaned it. I had a 12 year old child with me and I wanted to make sure he did not accidentally touch or come into contact with it. We abruptly left the location as soon as I found an available room at a better different establishment.A friend of mine that works in related field said that the blood splatter on the wall is consistent of when a junkie cleans out theirs syringes after injecting. I encourage you to looks at my photos and decide for yourselves.
Nice hotel. It is under construction so there seemed to be a lot of remodeling. Would have been nice if there was an outdoor pool. Kids were having a blast at the indoor pool area though. The towels were really thin. They should get better shower towels....and give you more than two.
This hotel is in terrible conditions, the other guest are 420 friendly. The hotel it self is in poor shape, walls and pillards are crumbling down. This was an exterior entry motel that they added a very tall shed and walls and called it a hotel. The rooms are so dark the lap shades have holes in them and some of the light fixtures dont even work. The room smelled so bad, mixture of ash tray, mildew and I dont know what else. Front desk attendant was pleasant but dressed in torn jeans below his waist and sneakers.
This is absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in…I’m pretty sure in my life. Mold everywhere, disgusting smells, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, and I’m pretty sure there’s fleas. So gross. Should have read the reviews before I booked. 🤢🤮
The hotel was not AS bad as the reviews said. I was terrified when I found out a friend booked this hotel for us when we came to visit TN. Its the worse rated and cheapest in the area but luckily we didnt get bit by an bed bugs or see anything horrifying like other guest. Yes it could use a whole deep cleaning. we found hair in the bathroom and the sheets were not that clean...well the comforter wasnt bur everything else was decent. If they put some love and money into this hotel then it would be great.
The room smelled, tiles coming up in bathroom, furniture is old, rusty, lamp shades dusty, dirty, locks are not good, had put a chair under the handle. Had to wipe the place down. This is motel not a hotel. I wanted my money back it was through priceline.
Room smelled like urine, toilet wouldnt flush, TV didnt work, and an outlet was burned out. Definitely DO NOT recommend. We did not stay, we just left immediately. Pool and water park were closed due to COVID.
Save yourself the hassle. Don’t bother with this place. The rooms smell funky and they are dirty. We booked a 2 night stay and prepaid. Checked right back out. Of course they won’t refund our money. The pool isn’t even open “because of Covid”. Don’t recommend staying there!
I thought this place might be ok, but the sheets on the bed were rumpled and sticky and had hair on them. I ended up spreading my own sheet on top because the bed was gross. The office chair in the room looked like they had found it on the side of the road and it was torn up and missing an arm rest. Also the latch on the inside of the door was falling off. The complimentary breakfast was sad and basically was just toast and coffee. I wish I had paid a little more and gone to a place with a clean bed and some actual food.
Wasnt such a vacation. A lightbulb burned out on our trip as soon as we visited. Then the bathroom light wasnt turning on. So we went to the front desk. It took them 30 minutes to bring us a light. Rooms are low quality, but they did repaint the ceilings. Waterpark isnt so bad. So ill give it a two star. We are coming back for Christmas, and We hope the reputation can be a little better.2nd Visit: No real improvements, the toilet had to be redid several times, the floor was peeling and there was a door connected from rooms 139 to 137. It was like we can just open it on them. Then we requested a suite room the following day. But the worker said this exactly One night in the current room, why not two? I have to say, it remains a two star. We probably are going to look for better options now. Also, its a lie about the $55 a night. We didnt even buy a suite and we ended having to pay $214. Because of that, nothing is getting better here. They charge $15 extra per person for some reason..
Extremely poor hotel, serious lack of maintenance and cleanliness. We called in before we arrived. And the price went up 4 times.The absolute worse part. . We are in our room now and it smells like mildew and the sheets and blankets are wet. When I told the receptionist she said itll be 4 hours before we can get dry sheets. We paid $100 to stay in this room from 6am- midnight. And we have to deal with an awful scent of mildew/mold, wet sheets and sticky carpets. Absolute absurd. This place should be shut down, if not for the mold, maybe for the sheetrock in the lobby ceiling thats at serious risk of falling due to moisture damage. The receptionist says sheets arent wet. They are cold. The sheets and room including the walls and carpeted floor are all damp and stink. And air conditioner barely works. Smh
I am horrified by this place!!!! We booked it online based on the photos through the website. We saw the room and read the reviews and we wanted OUT!!! It smells of mold, the people running it are all money hungry Indians, and the hotel/motel goers are all sketchy getto people. The smell of weed is everywhere......what else do I have to say??? Oh....they wanted $100 for us to swim in their DRAINED POOL!!!! Also......they refused to refund us any money! Wow OYO.....redo your business model, this place should be condemned.
Was not aware the water park was shut down. Left a day early due to unbearable smell of marijuana and cigarettes alllll night long. Woke up and needed my inhaler it was so strong. Only chose this location bc of my kids wanting to play in the indoor water play area. Definitely not worth ever going back unfortunately. Complete disappointment to be honest.
Dont do it! This place is nasty, there was a dirty sock in our room. The water pressure is non existant, and the shower faucets were loose like they were about to fall off. Also, there were suspicious people hanging at the parking lot ALL night long like drug dealers. Thank God we were safe.. Never again!
Very nasty dark musky smelling room. Cheap air conditioner, sheets looked like they were slept on . The door lock guard was not secured properly and could see into the hallway. Smelled musty in the hallways. A woman that didn’t look as though she knew where she was put her face against the window to look in. Didn’t feel safe at all and left after 15 minutes. Would not refund my money.
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting for $70 a night but not that. Room was advertised as non-smoking but as soon as I opened the door, it stank like an ashtray which leads me to cleanliness, subpar at best. Bathroom was grimy and unkept. There were food crumbs in easy to see spots around the room. Overall, bad experience for the night.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I live in Knoxville and stayed here only for my daughter to play at the indoor water park for her birthday and it’s winter and i will never return. I will never recommend this hotel. First the price on Expedia advertised is not true. I walked in to check in and the front desk staff said the final price was not matched on Expedia because the hotels room prices haven’t updated on Expedia. But he did extend our check out until 12:00 so my daughter could play at the water park. So we just went ahead and payed and went to the room. These rooms are so Nasty the nicely made bed looked like it had only been made we folded the covers back and found 4 different hairs Inbetween sheets and blood stains on top covers That looked to be squished bed bug blood. I was so disgusted And kept itching the whole night i slept wrapped in towels. Oh and it gets better the next morning i was woken up to a loud banging on the door At 11:13am by a lady who worked there and she started yelling at me it’s past check out I need to get out. So I explained to her the man I checked in with told me he put us down for late check out for my daughter to play at the water park and she was at the indoor water park with her dad and we were leaving at 12. So told me that’s not in the files and I need to leave. So I called down to the desk and the man told me our check out at 12 is not in the records. So I told him fine since i payed to stay here and was told I could check out at 12 i have all my stuff so I will pay the extra cost since it’s such a big deal and such a problem. They kept acting like I was lying about the late check out. So I get dressed and told my family I would pull my car around the the front to check out and they can just get in the car front the front door. I go to the desk to give the man my key and my daughters father asks the man for a clean towel for my 4 year old daughter to dry off with so she can change her clothes in the bathroom and the man tell him he can’t have a towel because we are checking out now and we will no longer be guest at this hotel And my 4 year old is dropping on their lobby so my daughters father continued to tell him we were standing there to check out at the time we were told and that our daughter is dripping wet Cold and just needs a towel to dry off with to put her clothes on because it is 30 degrees outside and it got to the point we were done with the disrespect the rudeness and nastiness of this hotel my daughter dad took his jacket off and had to wrap my daughter up and dry her off. So after that miserable stay I will never return. WASTE OF MONEY I wish I could rate a negative score!
GROSS room!!! Blood on walls and toilets in both bathrooms, which noticeably needed better cleaning, corners were brown and hairy and dirty! Seems like a rent by the hour place once we were all the way inside, and reiked of smoke!! My kids were disappointed with the fact the pool area was closed when we gor there, but it wasnt a well kept facility and we didnt have enough confidence in the maintenence and water quality to let our children use it. Continental breakfast was lousy, no bells or whistles, very limited. We had to fight the residents (possibly workers??) who were on a first name basis with front desk person, for a cup of coffee and a tiny hard bagel. Hope they step it up!
Has anyone from corporate ever visited this property? A nasty mess. I guess I can say the mattress was very comfortable and that I didnt get bed bugs. I guess I should say I got what Ipaid for but there was a hotel near by that was $20 less but I was afraid it would be a bad experience. So I paid an extra $20 for that horiable experience.
The first room we were given smelled like mold and mildew. After convincing the clerk that we could not stay in the room, they eventually moved us to another room. Then after the poor excuse for breakfast, we were asked to move rooms AGAIN! The third room had black mold over the bed, and believe that we took pictures. The light in the bathroom looked like it was gonna fall at any minute, there were cigerette ashes in the bathroom behind the door, the table lamps are rusted where the outlet is, and the room smelled. If I had brought my daughter here to play in the “waterpark” I would be concerned that she would get sick from the water. Do not stay here expecting anything more than a one star motel!
I dont even know where to start. When I checked in there was no one at the desk. It took me about 45 minutes to get checked in ( and out). The hallways smelled like cat pee/ mildew bc thry have the pool out in the hall ways. If u decide you want to cool off in the pool they charge u extra monet when pool is advertised as free. The sink was clogged and the bathrooms were moldy on the ceiling . When it was time to check out it took 35 min. For them to go thru the room. Its just a bunch of money hungry Indians here. They said we smoked in the room but we dont even smoke. They showed us 1 peice of cig ash on the ground under the bed and refused to give us back our deposit bc of it and threatened to call the cops on us when we insisted we didnt smoke.
It was filthy. Cigarette burns in the comforters. Everything looked shredded like it had been attacked by a mountain lion. Not to mention the fire alarms chirping all night because of the battery dying And no one would change it. I have pictures if this lets me post them. I would expect this for $30 a night. Definitely not $100 a night. Stay some where else. You will not be happy here.
If I could give this a negative 100 I would. There was literally bloody mucus on the wall. Hotel manager only refunded me for one night even though I was only there long enough to see the bedbugs and bloody mucus. Disgusting refrigerator. Dirty carpet. Hair and cigarette burns on the bed. Absolutely freaking nasty. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy.
Room was nothing to write home about but did the job. Noticed I was charged twice. Called the hotel to rectify the issue. According to the hotel attendant there was only 1 charge so they said theres pretty much nothing they can do. My bank account sure doesnt show 1 charge!!! Terrible customer service
THEY HAVE CAMERAS IN YOUR ROOM!!!!! The hotel manager told us they were charging us an additional 250 for smoking in the room, we told him we smoked outside by the pool and his response to me was your room had a camera in it and we seen you smoking I lost it, he sais we could pick up a copy of the video the next day. Ive contacted TN attorney general and a local atty to go pick up the copy. Ill keep the reviews updated as we learn more. We had small children with us. I knew I shouldnt have trusted them upon arrival
Hotel and rooms were clean but obviously showing age and disrepair. Photos of rooms and amenities are not what is currently being offered. I was disappointed. Service from the front desk was excellent, i just wish the rest of the experience was equal to that.
Its much better than what people say. Its slightly less than functional, but you get a bed and shower for a great price. This isnt a hotel you come to vacation. Its a hotel you come to rest. Sadly, the AC didnt work (which is my biggest complaint, among other things).
We checked in went to room and smelled like mold sheets were flithy chairs were covered in grease. Went back to desk and told them i was checking out and wanted money back they said i would have to call travelocity and talk to them travelocity has been trying since saturday to get ahold of them and no response i wouldnt give this hotel a single star they need shut down they are a bunch of hypocrite money hungry indians.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!Place is filthy, stain on bedding, dried blood on the blanket, costumer service is a joke!I wanted to get my money back before 11, they made me wait until after 11 , then told me its now late to cancel!Do not stay here especially with family! I ended up getting a new place , paid some more, but much cleaner and feel safe!
This is an excellent hotel especially for the price. Locale is fantastic along with the friendly staff who are professional. Staying here a lot while my apartment is ready to move in. Thanks to all staff for your perfect accommodations.

Its very dirty. The equipment is broken. The bathroom smells of mold. Its ok to go to if they would include the price of the water park in the hotel cost but they charge an additional amount per person. So you could go to a clean, well kept hotel in sevierville for just a tad more.
The pool and water playground were nice. Unfortunately though we found a used syringe under the dust sheet of our bed. I have a 4 year old and a 9 month old, what if one of them would have gotten their hands on it! I was highly upset and went to the front desk and complained that housekeeping should of found it long before we did, the front desk clerk apologized and said that he would have the GM call me it has been 4 days since I reported it and still have not heard anything!
Poorly patched holes in the ceiling. No working phone and TV remote. Exposed wires in the air conditioner. Inattentive front desk personnel. I reported the phone and remote issue to the front desk. I was told someone would be there soon to correct the issue but no one came.
We got there at the motel and started to go into the pool and we were asked to get out because they were cleaning it and we could come back at 3, but we were leaving at 3. So we didnt even get to get into the pool. I dont like that place. I dont like those people and I wouldnt recommend it to nobody it smelled.
Three location was great the price was affordable. I just needed a place to sleep i was traveling to Florida to pick my kids up and back to Michigan My first room the heat didnt go over 76 and that was room 104 And my 2nd room smelled like mildew bud it was close to the pool so maybe thats why but i sprayed some room spray customer service was great and i would go back but only because of the service
Worked there in 2011 when the Hotel had a more dignified bright Lobbies/Breakfast nook with Christmas tree image, Was sold since then.. Seems knoxville is trying to create a sketchy middle eastern dark Lobby/ get in get out and drowning kids look.
Okay first off take the load of usually grain of salt every now and then something does go wrong but when we went on a little vacation we found that the rooms were quite nice! unexpected bathtub with was a plus there was a small for the room but was just heavy cleaning supplies. And front staff was extremely friendly
Nice enough place. Loved the price. Pool area was nice and warm. Hot tub was just warm, not hot. TV didnt have a guide so you had to flop channel by channel and it was slow to change. I would use this again for sure.

I would give it 1 star if it wasnt for the staff. The room smelled moldy. You have to pay to use the pool even if you are a guest its $10 per person per day! The bed had a funny smell, but was comfy. There is lots of food options near the hotel tho. Its a very creepy and weird hotel.
I didn’t even want to give this place 1 star. Not only was it absolutely disgusting but their pool area was closed and they didn’t tell us that on the phone when we called to book it. We tried to get a refund (to switch hotels…one with a pool) prior to coming and they refused. The bathroom is disgusting, the door was jacked up and barely worked with our room key. Please do not stay at this hotel. It’s awful
We have stayed here two different times. I feel it is worth is for the waterpark area for our kids however the rooms leave alot to be desired. We get the same room each time bc it is the only suite they offer for our family of 5. Lamps broken, a.c sounds like it may blow up any second, lights out in many areas of the room. It is very ran down for the amount of money they ask you to pay.
I wish I could give them ZERO STARS. This place is FILTHY and the room smelled like smoke after i booked a smoke free room. I would never recommend this place to no one. It looks like you are in a prison. We did not stay there and they would not give us a refund back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This hotel is giving their brand a horrible name.

Great hotel. Great price compared to other hotels. Hotel app is well made. Beautiful artwork on walls. Ambient lighting. Mellow interior colours, bedspreads, carpeting, curtains, wallpaint, etc. Comfortable place to sleep, has all necessary amenities, hot showers. Quiet place, in a good part of town, West Knoxville. Helpful staff.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I found drugs in the room when I first checked in and immediately went to the front desk for help. They gave me the run around when I tried to get it fixed. I attempted to get a refund. Keep in mind Ive only been at his place for maybe 30 minutes. I am then sent from the front desk to the booking site. They sent me back to the corporate number which told me they would submit a ticket and I would be updated on the status of my refund in 24-48 hours. I had to call the police and file a report and still havent received my money back. All of this on my birthday. Stay away from this hotel
No where need what the pictures make it out to be. This place is super sketchy and just dirty. The walls are dirty, walking into where your hotel is dirty, and when you get in there it just looks dirty. The lightbulbs weren’t fully working and I heard another person when I was checking out complain about the same thing. I’m assuming at one point it was nice, but something happened along the way where I wouldn’t even pay $50 for the stay.
This is the worst motel all over the Knoxville period. Is so dirty the water in the sink barely work. Bad customer service but the worst is the AC, literally doesnt work, such a cheap unit,I had to buy a fan for the couple of days i stayed in because they didnt want to refund me the money and when i was about to leave they were accusing me i took their fan. What a disrespect. Think it 10 times before you decide to stay at OYO in knoxville you might regret it.Probably to save few bucks is better to go to a different one.
This is worst ever hotel stay we experienced so far. Right from entering the room till the time we vacated it was pathetic experience. The room was stinky, no cleanliness, cheap furniture, no maintenance to name a few of the things we can mention. Lesser we mention is better about it. I will never stay here or discourages anyone or everyone looking for a nightly stay. Better avoid this hotel. The front desk feels they are providing cheap rates hence the worst facilities which is not true at all. They are not charging any less than a 2 star hotel.
The room smelled slightly. The a/c barely cooled the room. The bed was uncomfortable. My friend had another room and theirs was not good. Shower was broke, t.v. didn’t work. The bathroom door didn’t close.
My job has me staying in some less than five diamond rated hotels, but the Oyo was a pleasant surprise! The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and eager to help with suggestions for places to eat! Overall it was a great experience, Thanks Mike!
I recommend you take your business elsewhere. The water park area is okay but could use a deep cleaning cause around the pool it areas that are green, the pool is suppose to be heated but it’s on the cooler side, the kids play around water is very cold, the hot tub was not working. If they put you in the room/hallway where the laundry room is I highly recommend you request to be moved ASAP cause you will not get any sleep the quite times they say they have does not happen I have been kept awake all night and it’s been loud since we arrived yesterday, the beds are hard, the light is plugged up behind the bed closest to the bathroom and when you are the bed and move the light flickers which to me is a fire hazard, the shower wall is not clean (which I did not notice until this morning), a huge opening is under the door big enough for a small animal kitten or puppy to get under, when I called to complain about the noise I was told I should of done it right after checking in. The guy was extremely rude saying it’s a few hours before check out and he went on to tell me about the supposedly quite hours they have and so on and then asked me about the name on the room which I told him is my fiancé’s name which at this point I feel like as a customer it doesn’t matter and so me and my family will not be staying here again.
Trash everywhere. TV And air doesn’t work. Sketchy peeps hanging around. Don’t bring your family.
These folks are trying and theyre nice. This is a decent hotel but Im not sure the kids play pool is worth the premium over your standard motel. The picture reminds me of the movie Xanadu. The outside of this place leaves a lot to be desired. Curb Appeal needs to pay this place a visit.
Rooms were shabby. One looked like someone had just had a party - no buttons on the phone, shower bars hanging precariously, smelled like smoke, TV stand supported by a piece of wood - just ridiculous. Lobby looked nice but the whole place seemed to be half way finished. Not impressed.
Be careful at this hotel. It’s very creepy. They got something weird going on there look like they be trying to kidnap people over here. It’s always a whole bunch of dude standing outside. They always there no matter what time you go out there. The police need to investigate this hotel.
The room was dirty even after housekeeping cleaned it still was everything on the website was not true I saw no.mini bar in the room we where in no large suites they charge u for anybody extra at the water park and you already paid for the room. Bed was super comfortable! Room was clean. The hall to the pool was dirty but understandable. The pool was nice although they were out of towels. Didnt make it to breakfast so I cant comment. There were some bad reviews so I was sceptical about the place but they were ok in the end beside minor things like our phone not working and the tv and internet cutting out for a couple minutes I cant say anything bad.
The staff could not be any nicer. The owner however is a different story. We paid over 800.00 for 2 rooms for 6 nights. 10.00 a day for the cat. That is a discount from the 25.00 a Day, they normally charge for pets. I have p.t.s.d. as do many Americans, this man threatened to come to my paid for room to inspect for the presence of the cat being in both rooms. Calling this a waterpark is like calling mcdonalds play place an amusement park. Duct tape on the kids slide. They cut the breakfast down to what they want, because its complimentary .
UPDATE TO OWNERS RESPONSE First off sir your response makes absolutely no sense at all. You can not photograph cigarette residue, your rooms sir were dirty we found glasses and several other personal items left by previous guests so if somehow lol you did photograph residue doesnt prove it was ours! Secondly I stopped payment on your attempt to collect an additional $250, and couldve easily stopped it on our hotel stay fees but didnt want to stoop as low you. What you are implying is that I 100% percent just made up a story this ridiculous!!! The employee we spoke to about the additional fees absolutely told us we could drive up and watch the footage!!! So dont try to clean it up now. The TN Attorney Generals office of consumer affairs has been in touch!!*********************Zero stars for this hotel, they kept trying to charge my card a.m additional $250 upon calling the hotel they told me they seen us smoking via VIDEO CAMERAS THEY HAVE IN THE HOTEL ROOM BATHROOMS, were had 3 10 year old children staying in this hotel
