I mainly joined massage envy to get monthly facials but the massages I’ve had have been amazing. The staff is so friendly, skilled and helpful and it is obvious by how happy and friendly everyone is that they enjoy their jobs and that management is top notch. I highly recommend ME at Cherokee for soothing, therapeutic massages and the facials are to die for. Love, love, love ME and I’m worth it! Thank you guys for all you do!!

Massage Envy is a franchise, so each location is run by a different owner. I cannot recommend this location enough. The front desk staff are always so attentive, friendly and kind. Since I have been going there for years I have a favorite therapist that I book with. Even through my pregnancies, I was able to enjoy prenatal massages.Choose this location over the others for personalized service attentive to your massage therapy needs.

My husband gifted me a massage last Valentine’s Day 2023. I have called numerous times to schedule but have been unsuccessful. I’ve called and left messages for them to call me back with their availability but no one even returns my phone call. Terrible customer service. The Kingston Pike location in Knox. TN is the one that won’t even answer the phone or return my phone call.

I have been a member at this location for about 5 years. I drive about 45 mins each way to get there. I deal with chronic pain from an accident over 30 yrs ago. I highly recommend Massage Envy Cherokee Plaza. The front staff is always happy to help me with scheduling sessions and goes above and beyond in getting me the best experience possible. So if this is your first time or if you get massages weekly you can appreciate the staff here for listening to what you need most. Im shocked at the quality of therapists they get and keep over the years. Most of these therapists could easily work at a5 star resort and spa. I feel blessed to have these therapists avsil to me at a membership price. I love them all dearly and its so hard to drop names but I think getting with the perfect therapist for you is half the battle. So I recommend using them all until you find the perfect match. I cant forget to mention, their facials and stretching sessions are worth trying out also! Thank you Jessie, Angie, James, Andrew, Stephen, Cheyenne, Ashley, and Kylie. My experience at Massage Envy - Bearden, particularly with Shamus, has been nothing short of exceptional. From the welcoming atmosphere of the facility to the professionalism of the staff, every detail contributes to a sense of ease and comfort .I have been seeing Shamus for more than year now. He is a standout practitioner whose deep tissue massage techniques reveal and relieve tensions I wasnt even aware of. His intuitive approach, combined with a perfect blend of skill and genuine care, makes for a therapeutic experience that always exceeds my expectations. The way he identifies and works on problematic areas with precision is incredible.

I had signed up for a plan years ago. I was not able to make the payments and instead of letting me get a massage at regular price, the policy is to charge me more, because the money paid for services not received was expired. My cash expired? They dont pay the masseuse well an will take your money claiming your paid dollars are expired and no good. This is a predatory company.

My husband and I have been customers of Massage Envy for many years. I always give a wonderful review for our chosen masseuse. She is so very talented at what she does while keeping us physically comfortable in a tightly woven world.My reason for this particular review is for the manager, of which we have come to know as a professional and delightful person through the years. She has never failed to say hello with her kind smile making sure everything went well during our visit. Whenever we have had questions or comments through the years, she is quick to listen and slow to speak, showing her true desire to provide the utmost customer care. We can’t convey all that is wonderful about her in words. You will know her when you cross paths to be a person of great integrity with a gentle spirit to do the incredible job she does at Massage Envy, Bearden. We both appreciate her so very much.

I am feeling very frustrated with the business practices of this company. It is almost impossible to schedule an appointment as they do not have enough staff to support their clients. I have accumulated a lot of credits, so I decided to freeze my account. However, the only way to freeze my account and still use these credits is to pay a monthly fee. Moreover, the company no longer allows customers with frozen accounts to book appointments online. I would prefer to cancel my membership entirely, but this would mean losing out on hundreds of dollars in credits. I would appreciate a solution to this problem, but I doubt that the company will change its policies.

There are only a handful of good massage therapists, and they’re great. But they only let you book one appointment a month, and half the time your appointment gets canceled the day before. So you either get stuck with a bad one or don’t get your massage - that you paid for - for the month. The front desk employee, Jessie, is EXTREMELY rude. I tried to speak with her about my frustration over the above situation and I can’t even describe the attitude. Zero willingness to work with me, apologize, or share an ounce of understanding over my concern. I said “so you’re not even going to apologize or say you understand?” She looked at me and slowly shook her head. And then she pointed to the managers business card. Supposed to come out of a massage relaxed, and I am anything but.

As a long-time member, I prefer this location of all the options in Knoxville. I’ve received excellent customer service consistently over the last 10 years, and the services and providers are fantastic at their craft. The space is always clean, which is very important to me. The manager, Angie, is very responsive and quick to help if I’ve ever had any questions or needed help sharing my credits with friends. Highly recommend this location!

90 min massage today! I had so much issues with northshore msg envy so I migrated to here for both facial and massage. What a difference it makes when it has a confident manager and good therapists work together. Im thinking to rejoin. Thank you, Jessie for going out of way to accommodate me. Husband wanted to surprise me and his two daughters with a package deal and to his surprise he has been charged for 6 months but we didn’t get to use it. He thought the package started when you first went. They was very rude when call and wasn’t willing to offer any services just we could pay more and buy another package! The manager was who we talked to and was very rude and unhelpful. He received nothing saying it started from day it was purchased or anything just a packet of services thrown on him. Nothing that said start date or end date. Had called before and left message for someone to call us back which never happened. We had waited because of Covid until we felt safe to use it to just to be sold sorry you can’t! Never been day one! Definitely not customer oriented at all! So disappointed!!! Hate he paid all that money and we didn’t get to try any of the services.

I started going to Massage Envy when I was pregnant and Genie always did a phenomenal prenatal massage. I dont have a single complaint about about any therapist or massage I have ever gotten there and I always feel great afterwards with focus on the areas I need it most. I always have a great experience with the Front Desk staff. They are always so friendly and helpful with any membership questions I have. The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing. I love this place!

Avoid the contract at any Massage Envy! There were never any appointments available when I tried to book (at any location), so I went to cancel. Called the branch, filled out their cancellation form and returned by email as required. Several days went by and I hadn’t heard anything. I saw they again charged the monthly fee despite me returning the form. I called and was told it was because it takes 10 days to “process” cancellation (unbeknownst to me). So I asked for a refund of that month since I had already turned in the form and just want out. Was out on hold for a while, then got told no refunds are allowed since I have cancelled the membership. What?! This makes NO SENSE. Massage Envy is a total scam.

Angie at Cherokee Plaza location does a great job at handling consumer issues. They also have the best massage therapists and seem to have several deep tissue therapists compared to other locations.I have been to many different locations and find this location to be top notch and professional. Would highly recommend when deciding membership you do it at the Bearden location.

I love my therapist and really only have stayed with massage envy as long a i have because of her. Prices have increased twice in the last year and other rules have been implemented that make being a member not as attractive as it used to be.

My wife and I have been members for over a decade, and regular customers for massages and facials at this location for eight years. Unfortunately, I had an experience there today that forced us to make the decision to never return. For the record, neither of us has left a bad review for any of the locations in thisfranchise.Timeline: Im in 17 minutes early. Masseuse 8 minutes late. Masseuse then orders that my hands be washed. Compliance. Masseuse then orders that I not only wear a mask but that I cover my nose to her satisfaction. Compliance. Throughout she instructs me that Massage Envy allows her to make her own rules.Then masseuse puts on latex gloves, without my permission, and proceeds to give a horrendous facial massage that leaves me with a headache and allergenic reaction to the gloves. 3 minutes in I say, I will have to pass. Masseuse says good! slams the door, and leaves me in a dark room to find my glasses.Ironically, when I walked in neither of the ladies at the front were wearing masks...

Stay away from this location, unless you enjoy endless turnover of staff that never know whats going on. This was the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with. One morning I received a call for a massage I never even made, after not being there for many months and simultaneously having my account on hold status due to being out of the country! The staff member said they put someone elses massage on me! (Wow.) SO happy I have finally cancelled & gone directly to a private massage therapist instead of wading through corporate policies & aggressive upselling. So much for relaxation.....

I just want to brag on this place. This is by far the best Massage Envy that Ive been to! I signed up for a membership at this location but because I travel so much, Ive been to so many others. This location has the best and most professional front desk staff and therapists! The girls at the front desk are so welcoming when I come in for my massages. I recommend anyone who is wanting to relax or need therapuetic work done to go here! They customize your massages to fit your needs and make you feel comfortable while doing it. You have to try it for yourself!

Good luck ever actually getting any service from them. Been trying to get in since getting gift cards for CHRISTMAS 2021. Finally got fed up after trying for 7 months and asked if I could cash out the gift cards which they wont. So now Im stuck with worthless gift cards for a massage place that you cant get in for a massage no matter how long in advance you try to schedule. Zero consideration for the customers time.

I had a terrible experience with Massage Envy. The massage therapists are good but the business is not run well. After my first massage I signed a contract and was told there was no problem canceling only to realize it was in fact a binding 12 month agreement. After my 12 months were up, I canceled my membership but was still charged monthly. I had to catch the error and return to the store 2 more times over the next 2 months and fill out cancelation forms before my membership was actually removed (3 times total). Fortunately I checked my credit card account to spot the charges. Really disappointing to see a business at this scale operating so poorly.

This was my first massage with my boyfriend and it was wonderful! Jennifer was so friendly and made it a comfortable and welcoming experience. We left the massage feeling so relaxed and refreshed and plan on coming back.

This place is terrible! The ladies (if you can call them that) at the desk are the biggest jerks. They make fun of everyone, customers, staff, etc. Its a hostile environment and I would recommend trying a different location if youre looking for relaxation. They are always stuffing their faces up front. The whole place always smells like pizza, sonic, or some other type of fast food. They wear inappropriate clothing. They are rude to customers mostly cause they have nothing better to do with their time. The older ladies who claim to be managers are VERY unprofessional. Oh and just a heads up the only people that gave this place good reviews are the staff!

This place has some amazing therapists and the customer service is unlike any other I’ve experienced. I am in the customer service field myself and it’s unmatched. Make sure you tell the front desk what’s going on and they will match you up with the best therapist possible. I did have a slight customer service issue and after having a conversation with the manager on duty it was instantly resolved.

I have been a member at this location for about 4 years. The staff here has always been professional and courteous. I only use other locations when traveling and this one is the best. I highly recommend trying it for an initial massage and possible membership. The cost is so reasonable and it is the best way to get massages on a regular basis.

I went in today for an hour long massage with Jillian. I was admittedly late to my appointment, and called to tell them as much, but the staff was really gracious about the entire thing.The atmosphere inside the spa is quite pleasant, clean, relaxing, and dark. The tables are heated, which is really nice. The music is really calming instrumental music like most spas.Jillian did a really great job of focusing on the areas in my muscles that actually needed help. Ive had a tough time getting back into running recently after an injury, so she was excellent in working out all that new-to-exercise stress.Ive got another appointment scheduled in a couple weeks; I look forward to returning!

I would have to agree with the other poor post here. This office is not ran well. The front desk was rude. Do not sign up for the Membership!! I was misled to believe all I needed to do to cancel it was to Fill out a form. In reality you can only cancel if you have a doctors note or have moved >25 miles away from closest office. When I called the lady at the front desk she was Rude. You are right... I shouldve known. Ill be cancelling my membership (with a doctors note) along with the referrals that come with my membership.**** UPDATE: here it is almost 8 months later. And another Charge to my checking account after not being charged for 7 months.

Do NOT sign a membership with these people. They double charged me (which happens) but refuse to refund me. I had to call 16 times before someone helped me. LITERALLY. And then when I had talked to the manager five minutes before and then got hung up on, I called back and they wouldn’t pick up the phone. The massages are great and the facials are great but the people behind the desk have to absolute worst customer service.

I have been going to this location every two weeks for a few years. I have also had massages at award-winning spas around the world, and they dont even come close to comparing to my therapist at Massage Envy! I have used a couple therapists there over the years, and they have all been wonderful! I suffer from chronic pain, and I cannot recommend Massage Envy enough! Its made a world of difference in my daily pain levels!

I went in there having zero knowledge on massages. I talked to the front desk rep and told her exactly what I needed, after a few minutes with her she pointed me to the right direction. Fantastic service and I felt like a new man leaving. Will definitely be going back!

Ive been a member since 2014. Im very pleased with my overall experience at this location. These folks have been easy to work with. I had to work out of the country and they made it so no payments come out while I was gone. Once I had injured myself and couldnt get massage and they did some type of freeze on my account while I was recovering. I own 2 businesses myself and Ill tell ya...you see a lot of bad reviews for businesses but ya never see how the problem was fixed. This business, your business and my business can make mistakes whatever but its all about the resolve how its corrected. Thats something folks fail to see and fail to write a review about. Check it out for your self!....Good place to go!

The place seemed very dingy. The bathroom was dirty. Staff were friendly, but my masseuse, Patrick, was very rough and not friendly. He was visibly irritated when I wouldnt remove my strapless bra, and kept making comments about it, when I specifically stated that I did not want to remove it. I had requested a relaxing swedish massage, but what he did was very rough, and jerky, fast movements. He kept pinching the skin on my back, even when I asked him to do something else. I will not be back, especially to this location.

Love this place! Only problem is its hard to get appointments with my favorite people since I cant book as far in advance anymore . But they are awesome when you can get in and they are good about calling you when they have cancelations

Nice people, my trainer waited until I arrived 15minutes late, and gave me the full time booked. Somewhat sketchy parking, my impression is the level of experience in different massage therapies is limited.

I wish I could give 0 stars on this location. Very shady business practices and very rude and incompetent front office. The only reason I stuck around as long as I did, is because I found an amazing therapist, Tabitha. I was willing to handle the rudeness as long as I could book with Tabitha. But, now I can no longer even get in touch with the office to schedule. So since I cant cancel my membership, I am OFF to try out the northshore location. So far they have been so much better!

Highly recommend this massage envy. I used Debra for a 60 min deep tissue and it was fantastic. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I found the place clean and comfortable. I am picky about massages and therapist so I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

I wasnt going to write a review until I read the other comments. I felt the same way as if the front desk was harassing me about buying a membership. Im glad I never fell for this scam because they certainly make you feel guilty. Your automated message wont make me feel any better I am using Wow I could use a massage and I am very pleased.

I signed up about two or three months ago and I have been extremely pleased with the staff up front and my massage therapist! I try to get frequent massages because of my profession and the opportunity to do so was a no- brainer with the membership they offered. A very well pleased customer!

This place is by far the most unprofessional irresponsible place Ive ever had any experience with. If I could give zero stars I would. They completely ruined my first mothers day for me and my mom. First of all I booked my appointment a month in advance as well as called two days before my appointment to confirm it. When me and my mom show up we were informed that no one was there to do our massages that were planned for a month. They told me that my therapist called in sick that morning and that the other available therapist wouldnt stay to do our massages because he had plans. My massage was scheduled for 3pm, so I asked, why if she called in that morning you guys didnt think to call someone in to do our massages that I just confirmed with you all? The response I got was thats not our fault.When I asked to speak to a Manager I was informed that she was off that day. So I asked them did they not contact their manager when stuff like this happens? She told me no, there was nothing they could do but give me a lousy 10$ upgrade on my next visit. Like Id ever return after this. I then asked for her corparate number, which she would not give me, but instead handed me a pointless card with the store number on it. I then asked her name. I believe it was hanna or haley. Her customer service skills were terrible and her attitude was Aweful. My first mothers day is something Ill never get back and it was just completely ruined by this unprofessional location. I wish I never wasted my time giving them a chance at all. What a regret.

Almost none of the staff were wearing masks correctly. The people at the front desk either had them below the nose or under the chin. One actually took off her mask to talk to the other one. I even saw one of the masseuses walk through the waiting room without a mask on. Fortunately my masseuse wore his mask properly, or I would have walked out.

We have been Massage Envy members for over 8 years. Weve used many franchises over the years and has forgotten this was one we visited a few years ago. We are vacationing in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and chose today for massage and nails for the girls. My husband booked this a couple days ago and explained or preferences - -deep tissue for me and firm for him. They explained they had only firm for me and my husband both and I agreed. We should have booked in advance and I do recommend that for all massage appointments, because the best therapists stay busy.However we were both very pleased with our therapists. As usual with most Massage Envys, they are very professional with the sheets and covers. The decor is very standard with the corporations standards from paint colors to tables, etc. This is a very nice place with a larger than normal waiting area in the lobby. The same with their Tranquility Room.Although Im use to deeper pressure, Peter did an excellent job and was very professional.I want to add that being a long term member, I sometimes read that people are offended by the sales pitch to become a member. I have no personal affiliation with Massage Envy. But we have been getting massage for 30 years. We joined back in 2008 after we moved to Florida and needed to find a new massage therapist. It has been a GREAT decision for us. Unless you just hate massage, I dont see how you can lose!The monthly membership fee here (about $40/month) pays for one hour massage each month. You can add 30 minutes and pay the extra amount. The member price is VERY competitive and where we live, its more like $59-$69 per hour. So we get that first hour way cheaper because we are paying older pricing. They really do employ a variety of therapist to meet every need (relaxation Swedish, firm, deep tissue).If you dont use your monthly comp massage, I dont understand how you think! Kidding. You can accrue the hours.We have given gift cards to many friends and family because we believe in massage and love it. But you get points that convert into 30 minute increments for massage. Orur, if your friend joins you get points as well. The point being, you cant beat these prices or find the perfect therapist for your needs in one place. You will pay double for a spa massage and it will likely be the fru fru kind.Definite five star review for this location.

I received a 1 and 1/2 hour massage gift card from my daughter for my birthday, but after reading the awful reviews about the front dest and /or reception I will NOT waste my time. Good luck staying in business with attitudes toward people like that.

I have been a member at this location for 10+ years and can say that I have found the staff (both therapists and office personnel) to be professional and always willing to help answer any questions or assist me in any way. Even though I use them for medical therapy I end up leaving feeling physically as well as mentally better each and every time. Because you are very affordable I am able to come in twice a month or more for almost the same price as I would only one visit anywhere else. I was surprised that my l hr massage ended up being 45 min since the dressing/undressing and paperwork time was part of the 1 hr. Really sneaky.Im told the therapists get $15 per massage. UNBELIEVABLE. How can they survive?Most have little experience. Im disappointed.

Only my second massage ever and it was a great experience. Steven helped so much with some significant tightness in my back, shoulders and neck, and I can see why many people choose massage to improve circulation and stress problems.

I’m loyal to my local massage place, but when they can’t get me in for a few weeks, this place will do the trick just nicely. Very efficient and professional and a good massage.

Great place for massage.. Ive been to this location a few times in the past year, and its always great. The staff is always friendly, both in person and over the phone, and the massages never disappoint. Prices are good too.

Not the best location in knoxville. They usually run late and then take it out of your time. This is the only location that doesnt offer complimentary water after your appointment. They also have a waiting room during the pandemic while the other locations have you wait in your car and then tell you to come in with a text. Probably wont return to this one.

After a long drawn out hassle of transferring a gift card that was poorly documented by Massage Envy and required several calls to fix, my pregnant wife arrived to her prenatal massage. Much needed with her due date right around the corner. The therapist asked what specific areas were bothering her..... She informed her of her Siatic Nerve pain commonly associated with the thrid trimester pregnancy (not shifting her weight to one side when standing as the therapist suggested), with second most being foot pain. She barely worked on the Siatic and literally didnt touch her feet. Also, the massage was cut short. When the massage was scheduled she was informed the table would have a belly hole, which it did not, adding tonher discomfort. While the therapist was friendly, some people dont want you to talk the entire time while they are trying to get some much needed relaxtion (which she said, but was ignored), I mean, its a Prenatal massage. She came home nearly in tears, we have gotten a lot of services across Knoxville as we are locals. Today was the clear cut worst.

I have been going to Todd at this location monthly for over a year, he is amazing! I almost always upgrade to a 90 minute massage bc its so worth it. Have told lots of friends about him!

This location is always welcoming and friendly. The therapist are knowledgeable and professional. This location has a great over all atmosphere and vibe to it. If you are looking for a great experience his is your location to go to.

I got a prenatal massage and was less than satisfied; all the masseuse did was rub my lower back for an hour. Im not sure if my expectations were wrong or if there was a miscommunication or.... I dont know.

I booked an appointment to get extractions. Once in the room with the aesthetician, she said she couldn’t do extractions because they weren’t allowed to use the steamer. Before booking the appointment I asked if they did extractions and she said yes. Paid $60 for a woman to wash my face.

I just left there from a session with Peter! I was so relaxed after a long week of work I fell asleep for my entire session!!! Thank you so much peter you do a phenomenal job!! I highly recommend him
